Social Media and When They Were Actually Filming in France

Hey guys so I have something i want to point out based on some old social media discussions we had like a year ago.

@wdway, when you pointed out the discovery that Daryl is in Marseille in the sneak preview, that sounded familiar but I couldn’t remember why. I wanted to say that he had been in Marseille at some point, publicly, and that we even talked about it. So I searched back through our old conversations and I found one from like almost exactly a year ago, pertaining to him being in France, but we didn’t know why. It was before filming officially began for the DD spin-off (which was confirmed October 2022 in Paris). We were talking about a story he posted which showed the same poster in three different frames. This was the poster:

I determined that this art gallery, which was showing some of Norman’s photography (I think) was in the city of Arles. Arles struck a note when I looked back, because Arles is a town a bit north of Marseille, on the Rhone, near to the ruins we were discussing yesterday: the Pont du Gard and Château des Baux-de-Provence. The Old Water Mills are also near there.

So this means Norman was in Arles in July 2022, for an art show that went until September 2022. Arles is right near those ruins in the sneak peak and also about an hour or so north of Marseille.

Was he already filming?

Marseille isn’t near to Paris. Not like it would be a quick trip down there just to film some panoramic shots and shots of the town.

So there’s a bit more, circumstantial ofc, but when I went and reread our conversation, one of us mentioned that in the fb group ppl were seeming bummed because Emily wasn’t posting a lot lately. Ppl were worried about her and what was wrong. Ann also was pointing out that there were similarities at this time, between Norman and Emily’s posts. Coffee, the color red, table tops, etc. Norman was clearly in France. Ann you had guessed possibly he was there for something Diane was filming, and/or because he was filming episodes of Ride in Europe at the time. So I went to look back at Emily’s acct from that time period. It truly is a lot of dog content, an undated post of her on a boat, a post of her and her new boyfriend from July 4th (later-grammed at the end of August), etc

But she also posted this on August 15th, which is her in a hotel alone on her birthday:

Norman was liking a lot of these posts, btw. He didn’t like the birthday one though.

He posted this on July 26th, which was about three weeks after he was in Arles. It’s the Tuileries Garden in Paris. He’s not in it, so it doesn’t mean he’s there, but it’s just a lot

Emily didn’t post location-specific at all during this time period, not until mid-September, when she did a show in Nashville.

This is my whole discovery and it’s absolutely nothing certain in any way lol but it just made me raise my eyebrows very high, like if Norman was already filming in Marseille at that time, then who’s to say she wasn’t filming something in Paris in December 2021? I know it’s a long way ahead, but her Paris posts all got likes from Norman. Also, where was she during those rogue weeks? Her instagram doesn’t say. So…probably nothing, but could also be something!

Also oh, when I look back at Emily’s posts in early 2021, they are like ALL location non-specific. I have no idea when she got back from Europe based on these posts. They’re all full of her star and weird vague sayings about looking forward to the future, and she also posted some old photoshoots of herself from 2014. Norman liked like all of these posts. He hasn't been liking any of her posts lately, btw. ANYWAY

Clarify for me again, is this during the time before or after we knew there was going to be a spinoff. And secondly if the answer is yes, did we know at the time it was supposed to be set in Paris? I can't remember if the Paris announcement came at the same time as them announcing MMB wasn't going to be in it.

When Norman was in France that first time in 2022, we already knew there would be a spin-off and that it would be set in France, but that’s all we knew. I think the spin-off was re-announced in April, after the debacle with Melissa leaving. They announced it would be in Europe/France and that Melissa was dropping out to take some time off. It was right near the end of filming for season 11

So… March 2022 - filming for season 11 wraps up, Emily is in Atlanta for Fandemic, Rick is in Atlanta, too. April 2022 - MMB drops out, spin-off is announced as being a European/France setting, Daryl-only. Gimple hints that there are clues related to the setting in WB

In October 2022, when filming apparently just began in Paris, that’s when Norman went on Kimmel and mentioned that he and Greg Nicotero had been in France scouting locations at some point, and he mentioned “blowing up the Louvre.”

The announcement in April of 22 you know they had to have known that Melissa was backing out way before that announcement. I mean I do remember them talking about scripts already being worked on.

Also, just to keep pounding in the logistics (because I can’t help myself lol), World Beyond season 2 was filmed in Virginia during 2020. It premiered in October of 2021. This means the French coda was written and filmed all the way back in 2020?? Did they know then?

I mean they filmed 10C in 2020, right? Covid year? Diverged aired on 3/28/21.

Anyway, even if MMB pulled out after the French coda, it seems possible to me at this point that the spin-off, which was originally announced in the summer of 2020, was probably always going to take place in France.

(Which means they knew well before Emily was there at the end of 2021)

Even more so than the coda which was the very last scene in S2e10. In the first season of TWB the Paris makeover in the back of the truck. We initially thought it was about he Mona Lisa a painting by Da Vinci trying in with a Last Supper scene we associated with Daryl and Beth. With the announcement of the spin-off in Paris it took on a whole new meaning. So, when was Emily in Paris, was it around that time? She even took a picture of the Mona Lisa. She might have been doing a little filming just some shots not really scenes in Paris for the spin-off.

I've heard the theory that Jack edited those pics himself. There was also another pic of them two that was photoshopped (that looked like their wedding day?) last year before the film was released and fans were wondering the same thing then aswell. Which does make sense tbh. The theory of him photoshopping those pics to make it look like him and Alice were happily married since it was the complete opposite in the real world.

It's either that or Harry and Flo were not interested in doing photoshoots for the film which could also be a reason why the movie posters were always only stills from the movie.

It would be funny if Jack was the one that photoshopped those pics though so I'm choosing to believe that theory lol

History3: Fanmeeting in Seoul on 24 Aug!

WHY DO THEY KEEP DOING THIS TO ME?!!! I both love and hate this because firstly they keep making the fanmeets so damn accessible like literally I know exactly where the building is and how it looks like because I go to Seoul so frequently and asjkfklkflkadkjadjkd (and yes, I do remember my aftermath post but wow they are making it so difficult!!!!) And also part of me is really, really happy that they’re so popular even overseas now?! 

I can just imagine them going for Korean food and if Xiao Yi and Chen Chen are going to host the event with a translator - I BET THERE WILL BE A VARIETY SHOW SEGMENT AFTER THE EVENT AS WELL like the segment Chris and Jake did for Hong Kong which means more footage for us!!!! AND ALSO we have Kenny who’s in love with Korea and can speak pretty okay Korean so that’s nice for Chris, Jake and Andy - you can imagine Kenny helping the three of them around and omgahhh love it (although, Jake may have to rush back to TW for his filming schedule if he’s that busy)

Anyway, the four of them look SO HANDSOME in this poster (so now we know what the photoshoot where Kenny was standing on a block to be at the same height as the other three was for - it is for the Seoul fanmeeting + my guess is that it’ll be for the signed poster)

What we know so far:

Ticketing is a little bit different than usual - I checked out the Naver site and you can’t buy the tickets directly from the site, you need to leave a specified comment in the forum post’s comments section on July 11, 8-9pm and then they’ll contact you directly or something like that to pay for the ticket and if you successfully got the ticket

It looks like there are only 282 tickets for this event (I’M SO GLAD!!!! They can have a nice, relaxing session with the fans and don’t have to be too tired with the hi-five situation and they can prolly do more fun games as well!)

Each ticket costs 170,000 won (which is about $170USD - if you want to compare, I paid about $80USD for my ticket for the Taipei fanmeeting)

Tickets will be distributed on the day itself 2 hours before the event

Which era are we living in?!!!

I bet all of you that there are going to be A GAZILLION fans from China trying to get to this fanmeet in Seoul because it’s so close and flight tickets aren’t too expensive, even if this time the fan meet tickets are more expensive than any of the previous fanmeets + also Jake’s fan base is really huge in China and the Chinese fans were a little upset that he wouldn’t be turning up at the upcoming Chengdu fanmeet (but also there’s still the fanmeet in Taichung after the one in Chengdu but if fans have already been to Taipei who wouldn’t want to make a holiday out of the Seoul trip right HAHAHA) PLUS THE PROMISE OF A 1:4 PHOTO?!! AND A SMALL FAN MEETING?! WHERE YOU GET MORE ATTENTION?!!

I assume that the Japanese fans will be trying to get tickets here as well due to proximity and of course the Taiwanese/Japanese fan club leaders (some of them are really awesome btw) - It’s going to be quite interesting to see the tickets being sold out!! Haven’t really seen many Korean fans actually but I love that the four of them are so popular everywhere!!!!

But more importantly: Fandoms in Korea and the act of fangirling is a SPORT in Korea like after being in the SJ fandom for so long, some Korean fans are literally the best - Their photos are unbelievably good and they’re super organised and it’s a total experience 

And yes part of me is like... a little mind blown - Chris, Jake, Andy and Kenny are the nicest people ever and it does make u wanna go see them again but no, stebeee will not do it, stebeee has no more money and is tired (am i really) BUT IT’S KOREAAAAA it reminds me of my SJ days when we’d go to the airport to wait for them to come out and stuff like that I think if any of you are going and went to the airport to wait for them to arrive you’d definitely see them and up close jfc

Rjps decision had nothing to do w promotion and how they are treated. He got all the promotion for s1. It's annoying that others are getting the promo instead of Simone but rjp is the last thing we need back on this show. I can't with people who'd think themselves above a woman's literature. And I think the fandom has from time and again made it clear that we have made peace with his leave and we are happy. Only wish Phoebe got her rightful promo too in s1 but hoping the best for Simone and johnny

No I know, I'm not referring to him not getting promo after the success of s01 nor am I arguing to bring him back 😂 Just wondering if wanting to cut all ties with the show may have had to do with not getting on with the producers rather than him wanting to distance himself from the show for being too lowbrow after all. I don't know, the s02 promo has been so incredibly disrespectful to Simone and Jonny that I'm starting to appreciate Regé and Phoebe much more now, at least they were actually the stars and the ones that attracted viewers.

And since the two of them are the blueprint, I've been thinking of how things turned out for them to get an idea of it could go for Simone and Jonathan after s02.. And if I'm perfectly honest I wouldn't blame Simone one bit if she just left them high and dry after s02 and never came back for a single cameo. As much as I'd love to have Kate as a recurring character for the rest of Bridgerton I'd cheer her on. She probably can't because she's bound by a contract, but they'd 100% deserve it after the way she's been sidelined. Let them keep their show afloat with side characters in the front pages.

Phoebe came back after starring in season one and they didn't even do her the courtesy of including her in the posters of the show, while the same cast that is now prioritised over Simone and Jonny got all the promo they could during Phoebe's season. If Simone and Jonathan are to come back next season after audiences love them and get that treatment....I just don't want them to. They deserve better.

Btw to be fair when it comes to the s01 promo: because of the shitshow that's been Jimone’s PR, I did some digging to compare and contrast and it doesn't really seem like Regé and Phoebe got much promo pre s01 either. There was their Vogue photoshoot like four days before the show dropped? And another one that was an ensemble cast of the women of the show, kinda like the Tatler one for Simone. But that's pretty much it (correct me if I'm wrong and there was more, that's what I came across). The rest came after the success of the show and as a result of it.

Basically the difference is that while s01 not getting much pre release promo sucks, it was a new show so it makes sense that they wouldn't land dozens of publications. S02 was a very different case because after the enormous success of the first season they had access anywhere they wanted and they chose to use the publicity on side characters rather than their leads.

I was suffering with the sudden dump of projects on my head and reached out to here for what the netizens think. What can you do with your teammates thousand miles apart? Especially for Physics, Chemistry, well actually every subjects. But maybe because Imma newbie, I couldn’t find the trace of a dog wink. So I decided to include some ideas my class came up with. (Hehe I happen to be the Class Leader [It’s a thing in Indian classrooms, I don’t get the hype, I thought we become democrats?), the only advantage is that you get the novelty of all these school stuff. Sorry classmates, this is for the greater good.]

Btw, this is most applicable for Indian high school sufferers in the CBSE system where they come up with colourful but often catastrophic ideas to humour us. (Art integrated project, sister this is the reason for my mental decline) 

1. The ever so easy Power Point Presentation - Split them works, put them together, record it and make your lives easier. Ain’t no way you are gonna present it from cute little boxes on your google meet/whatever without being pissed off cause that one classmate in the Antarctica with ‘heavens, show mercy’ wifi couldn’t hear you. We have a special breed of classmates known as the ‘I’m not in the same world as you are’ classmate. It’s me, I am the ‘I’m not in the same world as you are’ classmate. We tend to blame it on the poor wifi, play for keeps, mute the speaker, ‘who you bruh?’ and ‘Leave me alone Stacy’ everyone.

2. Video Role play - (no, if you think of what I though of ‘role play’, we need saving, internet, what have you done to us?) The Pig teammates exist, the good teammates will try their best to perform, the nice teammates edit and the legends of the group write the script, y’all know how this works. Find a similar background, record, put it together and screen share, thus ending the misery of waiting for someone to recite their lines thus ending the awkward ‘who am I, where am I’ scenario. One of the good teammates of mine is cosplaying, sis I’ll worship you if you did.

3. Talk show - like role play but make it a coincidence, all natural and casual look. My friends did it on ‘Whether laws work in India’ and dude, it left us on wheeeezee for three days straight. (Extra: Praise heavens, in India, you can be a doctor, an engineer or a family disappointment)

4. Model Making - Science people, this is our easy fix! wanna talk about Fluids? bruh i’ll show you how ships float! You say Hexasodium Hexametaphosphate? here’s a cute lil ball and straw model. Even my pig teammate made this with some m&m’s (Do not miss out on this excuse to sneak in some candies!!!). You can use Clay, some sticky flour mix (go organic brother), all types of sweet tiny candies and them stuffs. I mean, flip through that holy chemistry book of yours that now successfully collected hundred layers of dust. Show them some love.

5. Posters - how you ask? let’s say you wanna do something on ‘Twinkling Star’, your Master Picasso can draw the sun, he a star too. Kind sir Socrates can pen down a poem about the blinding light and Mister Dickens can write a ‘See through ceiling to watch the stars’ essay. All the great literary prodigies that mastered the art of internet can give out snippets. (pig teammates? Ma’am I am the face of the new era) Anyway, put this together with a photoshoot tool and make it look like y’all are not separated by the 100 mountains and 7 oceans.

6. Comic strips - If you have been a netizen for years without knowing what them comics, mangas and anime are, sir you are doing life wrong. Weebs, sympathise! Anyway, you don’t have to create a ‘Demon Slayer’ series or draw a seggy Gojou Satoru (Simping? I am simping, you are simping hehe). You know, them circles and 5 stick limbs hangman would do! Here you have to be creative if you want to be looked at with respect (RESPECT, POWER, BANANA! ...BANANA!) . Please don’t be that average Cathy who steals others’ work and not give credits. 

7. Demonstration video - say you wanna explain some simple concepts like laws of motion, do an experiment. My amazing teacher did that ‘drop and throw the ball simultaneously and voila! it reaches the ground at the same time too because horizontal velocity doesn’t affect vertical motion’ and stuff. Split the work and edit dude. There is the ‘Candle, glass and water’ kindergarten experiment that actually is related to PV=nRT and stuff. 

8. Document containing random drawings, writings, photographs and all that makes you look you know what’s going on and you are doing a marvellous job at it.

9. Performance - Say unlike me, you like to dance, act and sing, go for it. Hmm, you have centre of mass concept in physics, dance ballet while your nice teammates explain it and all that. Sing a song about TCA cycle and how ‘why do I deserve this pain’ it is. Act out what happens in a Replacement reaction, eg. how Iron mercilessly wrecked Copper Sulphate’s ionic relationship. (make it dramatic and fun so your ‘I’m not in the same world as you are’ classmate can have some fun as well.)

10. I will never do this but a prim and proper research will do. With hypothesis and participants them bois. I did an individual research with 50 of my reliable and inner circle friends exclusively during pandeMisery. Guess what, we all are going to hell after graduation. Freaking dummies, we be spending an average of 6.3 hours online doing dumbest of things, like this post for example. 6.3 hours, average among 50 people, India’s gonna have 50 blind people in another 50 years for sure. I’ll be the first probably. Research is hella deep, for reference, find chapter 2 of NCERT class 11 psychology.

Thats it for now my dear reader that read until here. Really, school works are a pain but once you figure this, you will have real fun. Don’t be stressed as my classmates. In a year or so, you won’t remember this anyway. if something ain’t important in 10 years down the line, it ain’t important now too ;p that’s what I tell myself.

Favorite bands: uhmm… Black Eyed Peas was my absolute favorite, then there are Pentatonix, Bon Jovy, Die Antwoord (I can’t understand shit but man if I like what I hear), Black Veil Brides, The 69 Eyes (I really love goth music), White Lies, B.A.P. and Big Bang (yeah, I’ve been pretty fixated with kpop during my 3rd year of highschool). They’re not bands but I also do adore The Hobbit, King Arthur and Suker Punch soundtracks.

8. Favorite solo artists: I think I’m gonna die lmao btw David Bowie, Will.I.Am, Sia, Kat Graham, Hilary Duff (her last album is fab), Emily Browning (ik she’s not a singer but I ADORE her songs).

9. Song stuck in my head: I’m still pretty stuck with “Human” by Rag’n’Bone, this song is absolute perfection, and with “Fire Escape” by Civil Twilight.

10. Last movie I watched: Coffee Shop, a romantic comedy (but imo is more a drama) with Laura Vandervoort.

11. Last show I watched: 12 Monkeys and you should absolutely watch it bc it’s freaking amazing if you like sci-fi, and GoT (I’m seeing it translated into Italian bc I watch it with my parents so I’m an episode behind).

What do I post: obv fandoms (I have so many, gosh: Stargate, LOTR, The Hobbit, Avengers, TWD, TW, GOT, Strange Magic…); videogames, such as Dragon Age, Mass Effect, the Witcher; stupid things I like; plants; gifs, so many gif bc I love them, and also photoshoot of my favorite artists;  cats, cats and cats everywhere bc they’re my ray of sunshine.

17. Why did u choose your URL?: It’s similar to my mail and the mail is really really more complicated. I created the mail bc I wasn’t able to enter in my skype account and I wanted to complicate my self, so I took some part from song names of my favorite artist and here am I with a terrible mail and a terrible url, but now I’ve grown affectionate to it lmao.

18. Following: 423 and I won’t delete any of them.

19. Followers: 44, I block every porn blog that follows me and I’m not so interested in being followed.

20. Favorite colors: absolute favorite is Black, it’s so classy and stylish even if you’re simply wearing a pajama. Then there’s red bc I’m a vampire and I like blood (?) and I’ve take a liking on green.

21. Average hours of sleep: *screech* I should sleep at least 8 hours or I’ve a super iper mega giga headache, but I’m a dumbass and usually stay up until it’s too late and the next morning I struggle to get up. Or, I can sleep to 14 hours.

22. Lucky number: 7 or 8, I’ve never really thought about it, but I think 8.

23. Instruments: I used to play something in elementary school but I gave up for lack of interest.

24. What am I wearing: I’m literally sweating the sweats of my ancestors so I’m wearing only a pink camisole and a pair of purple shorts.

25. How many blankets do I sleep with: depends on the season, now (here’s summer) I sleep without blankets bc I’d risk to burst into flames lmao, but in winter I do love to wrap myself in a duvet. The softer the better lmao.

26. Dream job: I DON’T KNOW. I’d like to do something books related but I’d need a degree or do something with the language I know bc I really love to speak and help tourist.

27. Dream trip: I’d like so much to see the pyramids, I love Egypt and everything related to it. I’d also like to visit Scotland again bc i’ve been there in idk 2014 (I’m bad at memorizing thing) and it was like a dream.

Two days in Numazu (Love Live Sunshine real life setting): a report

Heya! I know I haven’t used my Tumblr in ages, but I didn’t know where else to put this so here I am.

So, I’ve been to Japan for two weeks in late February and I managed to spent two days (Sun 19th and Mon 20th) in Numazu and Uchiura, the places where all of Love Live Sunshine is set. It was an incredible experience, so I’ve wanted to write a report both for me to remember it but also to show other people the place. I can’t believe I procrastinated two months in this

From Kyoto (where we were before this) we arrived at Numazu on Sunday morning at around 8am, by night bus. This is Numazu Station, featured a lot of times in the anime. We’ve been really lucky and had a wonderful weather! at least for one day

After going to check-in to our hotel (if you’re interested in going, I really recommend you Sanco Inn Numazu Ekimae, it’s super close to the station and the staff knows English pretty well), we came back to catch the bus for Uchiura.

Right in front of the station there’s a collaboration cafè, Yudai Festa Sun! Sun! Sunshine Cafè. We went there later for dinner.

This is the bus stop to Uchiura. You’ll see Love Live is literally everywhere here. Unfortunately I already knew we had no chance to catch the LLSS collaboration bus if we didn’t want to waste time (the first was at around 11am iirc)

While we were waiting there for the bus, another bus arrived and a girl next to us asked us “Where are you going?” so I said “Izu Mito Sea Paradise” (since it’s the most known attraction from Uchiura and it was actually our first stop), and she said that that other bus that arrived was going there too. So we took that bus.

Comes out, that bus wasn’t going to Izu Mito. I don’t know what happened, if she didn’t understood what I said or she was just wrong, but at some point on the road to Uchiura the bus changed direction. I kept looking where the f- we were going on my phone, and comes out we were going to the near city of Izu-Nagaoka. I tried asking to the driver if the bus was going to Izu Mito Sea Paradise (maybe taking a longer route) but he said “No, *something else I didn’t caught* Sea Paradise”. IDK. In the end I found with Google Maps that there was another bus going to Izu Mito from that area, so we dropped off the bus and waited for the other bus. 

The funny thing to all of this is that at that bus station in the middle of nowhere and far away from every LLSS location there was this:

No matter where you go, Love Live is there.

An old woman also asked us (in Japanese this time) where we were going and she confirmed that this bus was actually for Izu Mito and she was right this time. I got pleasantly surprised that people are so friendly there, even with weird gaijins like us.

This detour unfortunately cost us a lot of time, but in the end we managed to arrive to Izu Mito Sea Paradise! If you don’t know, this aquarium is the setting for the Koi ni Naritai AQUARIUM PV.

I haven’t took a photo of the whole coloured jellyfish pool (where You is being emo in the PV) but I had a bit of fun photographing the single jellyfishes.

Shukas Otteeeeers so cute. I went to see them hundreds of time.

The visit to the aquarium took us until midday, since we also saw the shows. After lunch, we went out and headed to our next stops.

First of all we stopped at the close Sannoura Tourist Center, aka the tourist center of the town. I tried periscoping inside of it so here’s a video: https://streamable.com/d5n33 (I can’t find a way to embed it sorry)

As you can see the place is FILLED with Love Live, it really is the main attraction there.

If I recall correctly this page in their signature book was signed by the seiyuus when they first came here in February 2016. I witnessed one of Rikyako’s best masterpieces with my own eyes I feel blessed.

After we looked around a bit the two staff members showed us a map of Japan where people put a round sticker for the place where they were from, and they also had spaces of overseas. For Europe iirc they had a space for UK, Germany and then “Other Europe” lel, so we put our sticker there. There were only 2 sticker on “Other Europe”, and I wondered who they were... comes out it was my friend and her boyfriend who come here in December :’D Not a lot of people are as crazy as us uh better for them

After this the staff girl asked us if the wanted to write a post-it with cheers for the seiyuus for their First Live. After I wrote mine, she took it, looked at it and asked “Yousoro?” (since I wrote it in blue and added an anchor), I said yes and then she disappeared for a bit and came back with two You keychains as a present for me WTF I was almost crying as I thanked her, so kind!! They also gave some Chika goods to my friend, I was speechless. As if it wasn’t enough, while we were going out the staff guy stopped us and gave us one of their big posters??

Like seriously WTF. Are they really so happy to see tourists?

I feel sorry that they also tried to make some conversation with me but unfortunately I’m still a beginner in Japanese and they didn’t know a lot of English ;; They managed to ask me if we were going to see some locations and I said that in fact we’ve already been to Izu Mito. They were so happy ;;

Another nice thing I didn’t expected is that outside of the Tourist Center we found a few itashas. Not comparable to the one you can see in UDX in Akiba but they were nice!

We left the Tourist Center in the direction of the school. This is the place where Mari falls while running, in fact, to the school to meet Kanan.

A bit ahead we found this groceries shop called “Oh! Mos” that sells mikans and specifically the Jyutaro x LLSS mikans, and also has this big Aqours shrine. I told ya LL there is really everywhere.

Fun fact: Suwawa, Rikyako and Anchan went in this shop a few weeks later, when they were there for their DIVER photoshoot, and left a signature (that’s the shop twitter account).

We took a bag of mikans and when we went to the counter to pay, the old woman pointed at Chika’s image in the bag and said “anime?” to us, lol. When we said yes (?) she showed us that they even have the cardboard box of mikan, the megaphone and the sign that Chika uses in episode 1 to gather people for her school idol club, lol. SUKURU AIDORU BU DEEESU. My friend took a pic with them

Moving on, we went to the place where the girls (try to) shoot a PV in episode 6. The place is called “Nagahama Castle Ruins” but there really isn’t much except for a really nice view.

Actually, I had printed a lot of these postcards with anime screenshots to take this kind of photos, but unfortunately I realized taking a good shot takes a lot of time and effort, plus the wind was not helping me. In the end I gave up and took really a few of these. I still have all of them so maybe I’ll try again if I manage to go back in August.

Moving on to the next stop: the little shrine where Kanan ends her morning run and dances under the stalkers other girls’ eyes.

I saw a lot of people thinking that the shrine where Kanan dances is the same as the one in episode 4 to where Ruby and the seconds year run, but it’s not: that one is in Awashima Island and it would have required Kanan to take the boat from where she starts her run. In fact it’s this one, a bit before the school. There were two other Love Livers there taking photos.

After this we finally got to the school bus stop! Featured in the ending, as well as in episode 1 when You joins the school idol club.

And here it is! Uranohoshi Girls Highschool is in real life a middle school called Nagaisaki. It was Sunday afternoon so no one was around, except for the gym where we could hear some people inside.

After this we walked all the way back to Izu Mito and beyond to see the other locations, like...

And right in front of it, the beach featured in the very first LLSS image, as well as the scene in episode 1 where Chika and Riko talk. Someone already wrote Aqours on the sand.

Shougetsu Cafè! aka the place were a CYaRon radio drama is set, and also were the 2nd years seiyuus went during their Teku Teku. Of course we went to grab some mikan dorayaki! They are super good. I even bought mikan jam, but I still have to open it.

We were so lucky we even found the LLSS kitchen car! I bought the You Noppo keychain.

Unfortunately, at this point my organization failed me. We wanted to go to Awashima Island, but I got wrong the place where the boat docks. I thought it was in front of Shougetsu, where there actually is some kind of port, but it wasn’t. We lost time looking around and on the web (how come that the Awashima Marine Park website doesn’t say where the boat docks?!), then tried to ask to the girls in the kitchen car who managed to explain to me it was 20 minutes by feet to get there. Unfortunately it was already kinda late, and since we didn’t want to rush it we decided to go back to Numazu. While riding the bus I saw the bus stop “Awashima” and the docks. If only we had take the right bus in the morning I would’ve know. Too bad.

Even if we didn’t rode the LLSS collaboration bus there was still some Love Live on board. Someone likes OmoiNare ships here.

At Numazu station we finally grabbed some Noppo Pan! I bought the LLSS (caramel) flavoured one this time, and later I tried the strawberry chocolate too. In the same shop in the station I also bought some really good mikan cookies.

I got the full You menu: Youkisoba (I even got the appropriate coaster), You’s drink and You’s Magic Tea (it’s a butterfly pea tea, it’s blue but when you put lemon in it it becomes purple). I really liked it tbh to be just a collabo cafè (not famous for the quality of their meals...)

And this concludes our first day in Numazu.

The next day we decided to do just a short visit to Numazu, since going back to Uchiura just to go to Awashima Island was too expensive.

We went to see Yoshiko’s house, a building called Natty Numazu. At the first floor of the building, on the other side, there’s a watch shop that even has some LLSS merch, and when the shopkeeper saw us looking at it they made us enter and sign their Yoshiko signature book lol

This tiny temple is right next to the alley where Yoshiko is seen in the last scene of episode 5 (before starting running away from the others).

Of course since You is best grill I couldn’t miss this place: You’s house! Which is not a house but a Western-style cafè called Orandakan.

Just from outside you can’t be wrong this is the place.

When we entered an old lady came to us and made us seat. She tried failed a bit to talk in English and brought us their signature book (I swear every single place has signature books there). My friends told me she also said “Welcome to You’s house” but unfortunately I didn’t catch it.

Their menu is only in Japanese but luckily since the teas are all in katakana and the cakes had pictures we managed to order something.

Not bad but tbh kinda pricey, I paid 1010 yen for a tea and a piece of cake... but it was at You’s house! So it’s ok.

Moving along Yoshiko’s escape route, we passed next to Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium (where the first years go in their KoiAQUA radio drama, aka the shiirakansu aquarium) and Numazu Hamburger & Cafè, where the first years also came for their Teku Teku.

We finally arrived at Byou (which I discovered actually means View-O), the water gate/observatory where Yoshiko finally stops running and also where You and Mari go talk in episode 11. Going up only costs 100 yen but due to some circumstances we decided not to go. The weather got bad in any case so we wouldn’t have seen anything anyway.

And this concludes our trip around Numazu, and is also where we suddenly started having incredible bad luck.

The weather was getting worse and worse, with strong wind and rain. On our travel back to Tokyo we wanted to make some stops: at Atami to visit the Plum Garden since the plums were in full blooms, at Nebukawa station (the station of feels in the anime), and Kozu station (the beach of feels- yes, they’re in different places). After riding the train we already decided that we would miss Atami, the weather was too bad to enjoy a garden. We could still stop at Nebukawa and Kozu, I mean, we just have to stop and take some photos, it can’t be that bad, right?

Wrong. The wind was so strong we were basically flying away, I’ve never seen something like this. We run inside the station and I only managed to take these photos.

Being the wind so strong we decided not to stop in Kozu, since it would’ve been a pain with our luggages and everything. But, after arriving at that exact station, the train stopped. We heard a lot of messages but we couldn’t understand them. We checked online and discovered that all trains in the Tokaido line were suppressed due to strong winds. And we were in Kozu. But we couldn’t go down. I couldn’t believe our bad luck, lol. The train stayed there for three (THREE) hours before leaving, and even then it was going slow and occasionally stopping, making our travel from Numazu to Tokyo 6 hours long instead of 2. But in the end we managed to arrive in Tokyo safe and sound.

Anyway, except for this last part, I really loved going to Numazu. It’s a bit of a struggle if you don’t know Japanese and it’s kinda expensive, but if you’re a Love Live fan it’s really really worthy. It’s not just “seeing” those places in real life, you can do that from photos... but being there, living like them, taking the same bus they take to school, eating mikans and Noppo pan... it’s an incredible experience. It makes it feels like everything is more real, even if it’s just an anime. I really hope I’ll be able to go back in August!
