It was meant to be another day in the office, though a better behaved day than others. You know how many times you've scolded and kicked yourself later for all the deadlines you'd just barely make and you'd swear every time you'd never fall into his shenanigans again but why'd he always have to come by looking so FINE?!

To no surprise of your own, apparently the briefing he'd given you actually mattered to what you were looking at, may as well been a foreign language to you now though. All you can gather from it is that it all will definitely add a few more hours to your work time.

You sit in your thoughts a while, contemplating if it's even a good time or if you might come off too clingy only to remember, it's still about work, at least keep it professional for now. You pick yourself up and peak your head out, calling on his attention. As he walks back over to you, you already come to regret calling him by.

It's that stride again, the way his sights are set on you, like he'd just eat you up right there - and you'd let him. But he doesn't, of course he's respectful as any other time and carefully reexplains and walks you through the task. The way you're biting your lip and eyeing him, it's a miracle you're even committing some of what he's saying to the task.

The only thing bringing you back to reality is a little knock outside your cubicle and the cheerful voice of another colleague wishing you both a pleasant weekend. You listen to the sound of her heels step, step, step away, not realizing you aren't the only one who's gone silent. You take a breath and try shifting your attention from the paperwork back to him but he's already leaned down to your line of sight, mere inches from your face.

These last few weeks were kind of a disaster in terms of preparing for the top surgery (what i had to describe to my cardiologist as "bilateral double mastectomy for transgender people").

Once my insurance approved it, they only gave me a 3-month window for the approval, and my surgeon gave me a 10-day window to get necessary stuff required for pre-op clearance- an EKG, Labs, charts, and a clearance letter saying I'm fit for surgery.

The problem here was that after years of ending up with the most awful primary doctors in all of Puget Sound, I decided to go with my employer's Teledoc service, so my primary doctor is now remote.

So I went on an almost 2-month long search and lots of back and fourth between Teledoc's staff and many providers to see who can give me what I need for these clearances. My primary doc won't give me the clearance because she can't physically check my heart and lungs (and she also disappeared for a week so many communications were passed around nurses, took full business days to get responses for, and forgotten), so I was directed to try urgent care facilities, but none in my area offer pre-op clearance checkups because of the liability of something went wrong.

Nobody else on internet searches had the same problem I did, which made this harder to figure out.

So then I took it to myself to reach out to a heart hospital to see if i can get the ekg there at least. It was a 2-week process getting a referral and appointment because the thing with heart hospitals is that America is the heart problem capital of the whole planet. my referrals took a week to get filed and i was hung up on twice because the hold time to get anyone went past business hours.

Today stars that 10-day clearance frame. My new cardiologist saw my paperwork and got my clearance letter, EKG AND labs done in an hour.

I have 9 days to make sure they reach my surgeon with my primary's chart notes.

I'm hoping this all goes well! <3

As for the fundraiser, I made enough to pay back the $1000 deposit i had to fork up when i made the appointment, and the remaining $2200-ish will go in my credit card since there's no way I'll be able to get that much before the payment deadline on the 1st.

Anything further coming from the campaign will be used to for living expenses during my unpaid time off for recovery and to pay off the $2200-ish debt I'll be putting on my card. I appreciate all the help and support and shares my campaign has gotten! this has been a very sudden thing to have happened to me! even if the GFM dies, i can't complain one bit! <3

About the Kinktober, I probably won't be doing a theme per day because I feel like that might be tiring. Also, we just did that for A.U.gust and I saw another Gallavich blog posting something like that for September, so I figured we give people a bit more freedom this time around. I'm thinking of either just a list of prompts that you can post whenever, or a bingo, or one ample/general theme per week... But I'm open to suggestions.

About the Masquerade: Yes, I know most people voted to have it along the Kinktober, but there was also a quite significant amount of people who said they'd rather have it after it. I figured the people who voted to have it alongside Kinktober would still participate it if I had it later, but the opposite was likely not true, so I figured this was better. Also, I will be requesting sign-ups, but they're just so I can organize everything, so the deadline will be quite close to the posting day. Posting will likely be on an AO3 anonymous collection (I'll have to test that first), and the guesses will be made through a Google Form. One more thing: I think it would be nice to have fanart/videos/gifsets as the prizes (preferably about the Masquerade fics themselves), both for the person (or people) who manage to guess the most authors correctly and for the author who manages to "deceive" more people (still deciding on that, but anyway...), so if you make any of this and would like to volunteer, let me know.

About the gift exchange: it was postponed for next year for three reasons: 1) there was no set event in February, so I figured this would be cute and fit the theme of Valentine's Day - instead of secret Santas, you'll have secret admirers ;) ; 2) it gives people more time to participate, since most other fandoms have their gift exchange events at the end of the year; 3) it leaves the Masquerade at the end of the year, which is an event with lower stakes (no one is expecting people to produce anything, so it's easier to cancel their participation if something happens). I reserved actual Valentine's Day for it, but I believe it'll actually happen throughout the week. The format will be the same as in the last couple of years, with participants picking the prompts they'd like to fulfill.

I assumed we'll be doing A.U.gust again next year, but that's not set in stone. Spring Cleaning is also a possible event, but we'll see. Gallavich Week will be happening, as always.

I'm leaning towards the "Split Soul" route cus I like writing around the chaos of the gang realising that there isn't just *one whole* super-ancient demon soul floating around. Almost mirrors the situation with the Rings of Samadhi.

Basically in her death; LBD attempted to "Piccolo Junior" (ty @dorothygale123) herself into a fresh new body - only for her soul to splinter into pieces. Two were able to be caught in the direct aftermath and stored away for the meantime - but Reincarnation has a 49 day deadline, and if those days pass without a solution the Underworld will repossess the soul fragments themselves.

So whats easier than for the Fragments to become New Souls instead of potientially reforming into LBD? ¯(ツ)/¯

Lets just say the adrenaline of fighting your possessed former-mate, making him remember what he's fighting for, and showing your parental side, is a Big turn on for a certain pair of monkeys.

But yeah, no one paid attention to how many Soul Fragments got formed in the aftermath.

The thought of Macaque's storage solution for part of LBD's soul being a jar is hilarious. MK probably yells that he's "just making her angry!" when he catches him doing it.

Of course this form of torment is the reason Maccadoodle realises that the soul fragment is suddenly missing after he and Wukong make up...

Downside; Macaque does spend S4 el pregante and not telling anyone. First person to realise whats up is Nezha, who found out completely on accident. ("I turned my back for ONE SECOND, and you and Sun Wukong have two infants, with one on the way?!").

Also at least one member of the Brotherhood smelled that something was Off with Mac and mentioned it to the rest of them. Azure had a blue-screen error moment when he tried doing the math. Mac still kicks asses when he decides to fight, even with Peng taking a moment to mock his "egg-burdened" appearance. Peng gets shadow-slapped into the horizon.

Omg thats the perfect scenario for how Mac tells Wukong about the baby. They're sharing the shade, in addition to a pair of sleepy shadow monkeys, and Mac just takes Wukong's hand when he's offered the peach popsicle and brings it to his middle.

Wukong's eyes blink gold for a second before he starts sobbing with joy. Lots of loud, gross, sappy kissing ensues.

Bonus+: In theory each of the four New Souls represents an aspect of LBD that was too great for one little kid to inherit.

Yuebei (aka the Shadowpeach baby): Is much like how she is in the TMKATI au. Is a big, kinda-ugly, baby who's started cooking around the time of S4. Messy black fur, pale skull-shaped face marking, six ears and a shocking amount of strength for a newborn. Represents LBD's wrath.

Bao (Freenoodles): Dumpster piglet. Found in the trash during the post-battle clean-up of the noodle shop. Looks like the chubbiest little piglet with wispy white fur & black spots. Was assumed to just be a street urchin orphaned/abandoned in the chaos of LBD's destruction. By the time they realise Bao is even a Fragment of LBD, she's already Freenoodles pride and joy + MK's beloved baby sister. Represents LBD's hunger for power.

Guǐhuǒ (Ironbull baby, name suggested by @aokolpvxs): PIF and DBK planned to have a big big family together long before the complications with Red arose. So when Red Son explained to them about this little unreincarnated soul needing a "home"... who are they to turn down the chance at having a second born after so long? Red didn't even suggest it to them, they insisted. And you *know* that little half-bull princess is gonna have DBK wrapped around her little finger before she even arrives. Represents LBD's pride/decorum.

Shísuàn (Spider gang baby): Part of LBD's soul that got trapped in spider silk, and by-proxy became a spider (specifically a Diving bell) demon egg. Egg is lime green and about the size of a basketball. Despite initial reservations, the whole gang are soon fighting over who gets to name/take care of the spiderling inside. At least until the ginger-haired spiderling hatches and starts screaming with colic. Huntsman finally ends up asking Sandy and the Monkie Kid gang for help once the late nights get too much for him. Turns out the baby spider was just gassy. Has specific "favorites" among the gang, which includes new friend the Scorpion Queen. Represents LBD's mischief/discourse.

The Mayor is hanging around too. Got to keep an eye on where His Lady is after all. Gets beaten up by the gang the second he shows up anywhere. Later even gets beaten up by "His Lady" in the form of baby Yuebei deciding he failed the vibe check.

8/12 - 8/18/2024

I wrote a version of Renji 11 what is at this point several years ago (RIP me), and have since just been throwing random stuff/required additions into that Note with no rhyme nor reason, so it took over two hours this week just to sort it all out. But! It is sorted!

Modern-era Renji 11 consists of 3 new scenes and 3 already-existing scenes. I wrote 1.5 of the new scenes. As far as how well I think this Chapter is going, I dunno. As a narrator, Renji’s kind of like, oh hey, here’s a thought I had. And here’s another one! Which feels legit but I’m not sure if it allows the reader to understand which pieces of information are actually important for following the narrative.

You know those reblog memes that like, ask people to identify hallmarks of your writing? The concept is fun, but it wouldn't work in practice because 0.02% of anyone who might see that post would have any familiarity with my writing. SO. I WILL SIMPLY TELL YOU. My hallmarks are that I love an interstice—love having things that should be on the cutting room floor not on the cutting room floor—but am also a firm believer in stories not needing to have every scene the characters experience to exist on the page. This combination means there’s a good chance that actually relevant, defining scenes simply do not exist and only the interstitial nonsense does. I think in certain stories this can be a real thing that works. I think it can also have the effect of nothing hanging together, making any sense, or meaning anything, without certain bits of key information/certain scenes that I simply did not include because they exist in my head and therefore exist everywhere right. I think that’s where this chapter is.

Maybe the remaining 1.5 new scenes will help ameliorate that, but I feel like that’s asking a lot of them. And then, theoretically, you’d think fixing the existing scenes would go more quickly than writing from scratch, but I don’t know that they will. Because the story leading up to this point has changed enough that the characters are in very different headspaces and perceptions of each other than they were when I first wrote those scenes. Well, that’s not true—Kensei and Renji are in a very different place with each other. Renji and Hitsugaya need to have the exact same conversation but, you know… better. And FRANKLY, I do not know whether entirely overhauling Kensei and Renji will be harder or easier than merely line-editing Hitsugaya and Renji. =_=;;

I’d really like to finish Renji 11 by the end of next week, and then take some time to finish out the revisions on Rukias 7 and 10, which are the most related to Renji 11. Then I’d like to go back to do final line edits on Chapters 4, 5, and 8 before heading into the big mess of revision that is Hisagi 9, because those revisions will be most related to Hitsugaya 12.

I’m not anticipating getting much done in September, because I have a major work deadline September 30th, and the rest of autumn will probably be kind of garbage, too, and I probably won't exist. But I would love to finish Part II (so, Chapters 12 and 13) by December. Well, speaking honestly, my original hope was that I would finish Part II by May, but here it is, August, and I am still working on Chapter 11. So: I would LOVE to finish Part II by December.

I did a low-res mockup of the fic banner several months ago (okay, this might have been last November). I pulled out some high-res assets to work with on Friday and played around with a new design I thought was fun, but it turns out design-wise the old mockup looks much more polished. Or it would, if I were using higher-quality materials. XD So I’ll probably go back to the old design. The only reason to continue with the new one is that it reflects the clusterfuck spirit of everything that happens in this fic, but I kind of like the way the old banner puts a pretty bow on the clusterfuck lurking beneath the surface. Maybe I’ll solicit opinions once I’ve made a more serious mockup of the first version.

Hey yumiiiii hope you're doing great! So yeah while I was reading Guerrilla I realised.. the whole skewed morals where they kill people who are criminals and have ways to evade law.. is kind of what happens in my fic Black Pirates (I swear I didn't abandon it but yeah it feels like I forgot about it 😃) and I was thinking I have to let you know that it's going to be similar going forward.. and stay in he clear yk cuz it was a coincidence.. but THEN I remembered.. ateez in my fic don't kill anybody they just .. raid and steal stuff from them to hand them over to people that have been wronged by them. So NOT EXACTLY THE SAME XD and I also realised that the chaps I released so far does mention that so phew I'm in the clear... but yeah 😭😭😭 I thought I should mention it 😭😭

Even tho later the plot curves into more complicated stuff (I have it planned but haven't written it 😃) but yeah it's the whole robinhood thing and taking law into their own hands cuz the criminals can evade law.

Again YOU'RE SO GOOD AT WRITING I always fangirled over it and will continue to do so :D

Also I plan to write a oneshot surrounding an idea I had in mind and you have written a few inspired fics so I think you'd be the best person to consult about it.. so will you be interested to proof read or help me figure out the plot of that some time

yes I do plan on writing that but when it happens is... up in the air because meh like I'm trying to not sound whiny about it but if it wasn't clear from my less than stellar production lately my mental health has been completely down the drain lately and as it is rn I'm finding it extremely hard to put words together unless I have an extremely hard deadline and as it is I'm trying to finish a bunch of comms that I started but I'm like really struggling with liking anything that I write so tldr: yes but it could be three months from now and it could be next year, sure af I hope it's sooner rather than later because I really don't relish any of this but eh T_T

how he'd deal with having it: first time it happens (which would be after they get together which like.. he can't actually deny it's A Thing yknow she got his so) he thinks he someone went on a bender and forgot even if he tried to cut down on the drinking and then he's like oh god nope it's really here what the fuck and immediately gives it back to her like IM NOT WORTHY HERE, she's like yeah okay sure but I don't think it's gonna end here (she's fine with it), the second time he gets it is when she's sad for some reason and she's not nearby so he has to take care of it and actually worry about it and he's like god what do I do and just keeps it close and tries to not make anyone notice, then it happens again when something bad happens to her and she's not immediately nearby and as you said he tries to tell it something nice which for his standards would be weird but it actually works because she actually feels better and then she's all smug when she tells him and he's like wait what are you fucking kidding me

Sigh ... XD I think I may have bitten more than I could chew with those fic ideas I had earlier. The one where I wrote in 3 of them. Anyway, so I ended up writing one of them more in depth than the others, but still incomplete, but I wanna show what I have so here's a snippet of one of those ideas.

I hate to use this but English isn't my first language so there will be grammatical errors, but I did my best in writing them properly.

It's about Clavell's PoV of the Starfall Street route, and also I played Violet so it's in this version.

I begin to doubt my own resolve…

The Treasure Hunt is approaching and yet no member of Team Star has spoken up about anything.

And the deadline is fast approaching.

I really am at a loss of what to do. I pace around my office thinking of how to communicate with Team Star. It is one thing to be rebellious and break the rules. But this… this is beyond simple youthful rebellion. It's been more than a year since a few students have set foot to the school let alone a classroom. This ultimatum would surely try to cease this persistent truancy.

And yet ..

And yet… I have only been met with stubbornness and no response.

There must be a reason. There has to be. Why would Team Star and it's members blatantly break these many rules without any consideration to its consequences. It's maddening��� 

Or perhaps… I am looking at this from the wrong angle. It is not why they break these rules, rather they have to… but then…

I sigh as I collapse on my chair. 

If there is a way, a way for me to communicate to the Team, maybe I could see their reasoning, understand their mindset…

See this whole situation through their eyes….

Maybe I could prevent any at all from being expelled.

I felt an embarrassing rumble in my stomach. I check my watch to see that it is lunch time. I seem to have lost track of time trying to think of anything that could help me and these students.

Perhaps a good lunch and a cup of coffee from the cafeteria could help me clear my head.

I want to know and understand their reasoning behind all of this. No one would just blatantly ignore this ultimatum. Otherwise, it would have been simpler for them to just drop out. 

But I shouldn't think that way.

I just …

I just don't want to expel any of them…

They don't deserve any of this… 

"Oh! Hello Mr. Director sir!" My attention was caught by a student who was taken by surprise. "I'm really sorry for getting in your way, sir…" 

"Oh no, don't worry you're not, I was just in deep thought and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. I must apologize."

The student looked at me with a face etched with shock and disbelief. I was simply apologizing for a silly mistake I made. Why would he look shocked that I have said that?

"O-okay then sir…" the student managed to utter, "Then I'll just head on to class then, thank you sir."

Even a thank you.

For what?

The student took off down the hall.

It was nothing more than a silly mistake that I had made. After all, I should have been playing close attention to where I was going….

….

I see…

If I was a student, like them…

I wouldn't have been faced with that disbelief expression.

If I was like any other student in this academy, especially with that young one, then that interaction wouldn't have happened.

But I am not a student.

I'm Director Clavell, the esteemed Director of this prestigious Uva Academy.

I'm the director.

And yet this is another silly mistake I have committed.

No wonder that student looked so nervous and anxious around me.

I look to see a group of students from what I can guess gossiping around the hallway. Then they turn to my directon and their conversation went to a halt.

I simply waved and said hello and went on my way.

The further I walk away from them, the more I began to hear them talking again.

How could I have been so blind?

If I simply approached Team Star as Director Clavell, I would be faced with nothing but stubbornness and silence. There would be no change.

If i were a student, maybe it would improve my chances and could proper answers I seek.

But I can't just….

I immediately noticed Master Arven running past me at a quick speed. I was in deep thought to once again not realize he was coming, but I reacted quickly enough to avoid him just barely. I wanted to tell him to stop running down the halls but it was too late as the teenager had dashed further from earshot. 

I shook my head. I am surprised that he even came to school today.  I’ve been worried about Master Arven ever since his father, Professor Turo, has fallen off the radar so to speak. I do worry about Turo as well. Maybe I should send him an email…

“This is Juliana, correct?”

“Yeah? Who are you?”

I stopped just at the Cafeteria doors. I hear someone from a phone speaking to Miss Juliana, the new transfer student that just enrolled. 

“I hacked your smartphone so I could talk to you. Hope you don't mind.” The voice from the phone sounded like a young girl. But did she just say–

“Wait a minute, What do you mean hacked?!” Miss Juliana sounded angry.

“My name’s Cassiopeia.” the girl from the phone introduced herself. Is she a student? It feels wrong to listen in to this conversation, but I couldn’t help myself but to listen in.

“But never mind that–it’s you I want to talk about. I hear you're a trainer with serious potential.”

It is true, Miss Juliana has only been here for a day or so and the whole school has already been talking about her. Especially after she had beaten two members from Team Star earlier.

“If that description is accurate, there’s something I'd like to ask of you. Tell me, Juliana… You know about Team Star right?”

… Wait a minute. Is this about Team Star?

“Yeah I know of them…” I hear Miss Juliana hesitantly reply to her.

“Great. I appreciate you being up-front here.” I could hear that this Cassiopeia person felt relieved. “Team Star is a group of troublemakers formed by some academy students a while back… They cause headaches for the school and try to bring other students down to their level.”

Is this true? If so, have I really gone blind and deaf to the problems the school is facing? Was I so oblivious about all of this? In that case, what have I been doing this whole time?!

“And I refuse to sit idly by and let them get away with it!” It seems Miss Cassiopeia is determined to take down Team Star. How noble of her. But somehow I doubt this whole speech is her only reason.

“So I’ve come up with a plan to bring down Team Star and force them to disband for good.” A plan? The Academy and the School Board have tried everything at their disposal to try to disband Team Star and yet this girl has a plan to do so? 

“I call it… Operation Starfall!” She sounds confident about it too. But how? And why?

“But I’ll need allies to carry out this operation… and I’d like you to be one of them.” Of course, Miss Juliana has already made a name for herself despite being her first day at school. Defeating those Team Star members surely must have helped in this as well.

“Really?” Miss Juliana sounded surprised. I wonder if she is unaware of the cause of her recruitment by Miss Cassiopeia. “Well… those grunts earlier were an annoying pain, honestly trying to convince that shy eevee backpack girl to join them even if she said no. So sure, I’ll help ya.”

I am not sure if Miss Juliana is naive or determined. But she did sound eager to help the girl who hacked her smartphone…

“No need to reply right this second. We can discuss the details some other time.”

I wonder…

“Till then, I’ll leave you to it. Bye.” Miss Cassiopeia is quick to hang up.

I shouldn’t linger around here as it would get suspicious if Miss Juliana comes out of the Cafeteria and sees me.

So i opened the door and walked inside and feigned ignorance to ensure that she wouldn’t think I’ve eavesdropped on the conversation.

“Ah, Miss Juliana.” I greeted her as I walked into the room, “Please do try to keep your voice down if you're making calls within the school, won't you?"

"O-of course, sir!" She sounded flustered, "I'll be more careful, sir!"

I nodded, "You don't want anyone else overhearing any personal information, after all." I do worry about you Miss Juliana, especially of what you have gotten yourself into. 

"Honestly… there's so many things we need to be careful about in this day and age…" Not just the hacking but rather the Operation Starfall itself too… I don't want you to get into a lot of trouble and could even get expelled because of this…

"On you go then, young lady!" Please don't get into any more trouble…

I waved goodbye to her as I watched her leave the Cafeteria…

Grian was sick, and exhausted. 

But he couldn’t rest, not in a death game. 

Not in a game where his time is slowly trickling away, deadline growing closer and closer with every misstep, every death.

But the other Bad Boys wouldn’t have it. 

“Grian! You need to go back to bed and rest up!” Joel blocked the doorway with his body, not letting Grian pass him. 

“I’ll be fine, I just need to walk it off- Would you move? You’re in my way.”

Joel moved to block him again, holding him still with his hands on Grians shoulders. “No way, you’re sick, and not ‘easy fix’ sick, sick-sick. You’re going back to sleep.”

“I’m going outside!” Grian glared up at Joel, willing to fight for his freedom. How dare he try to keep Grian from going where he wants-

“You’ll make Jimmy sad if you don’t rest.”

That made Grian pause, because oh. He hadn’t thought about Jimmy, how he would feel if Grian ‘didn’t take care of himself’. And what if Grian made Jimmy or Joel sick? If they caught it while he was still sick theyd be vulnerable.. 

“Fine. But I want to rest outside!”

“Let me make you a bed and I’ll allow it.”

“Make me a hammock and we’ve got a deal.”

“You’re a menace.”

“You love it”

Joel rolled his eyes but didn’t deny it.

Jimmy returned from visiting the Mean Gills soon after Joel finished.

Grians smug smile peeked over the edge of the woolen hammock, and made Jimmy laugh when he saw it. 

“The pesky bird got a swing?” Delight colored his voice, always happy with the little additions to their base. 

Joel scoffed. “The pesky bird got a cold, and insisted on resting in the sun. Vitamin D and all that.”

Jimmy’s face dropped, and he hurried over to Grian, hands out but not touching like he didn’t know what to do with them. “Is there anything you need? I can go get it, did you drink water? I’ll go get you some water.” 

Grian watched him leave, mouth still open from failing to respond fast enough to the quick paced questions.

Joel laughed at him, teasing him about being part fish instead of bird. Grian stuck his tongue out in retaliation

Jimmy returned with a glass and a bucket of clean water, going above and beyond like he always tries to. 

After Grian drank enough to placate Jimmy, Joel said, “You should take a nap.”

“But what if something happens?”

Joel’s face softened. “We’ll watch over you. Just leave it to us, okay?” His words rung like a bell, solemn and promising. 

“Alright,” Grian sat up straighter, just for a second so they could see his face better, know he meant it. “I’m trusting you. Please don’t make me regret it.”

Joel smiled, an unhinged, feral looking thing. “What could possibly make you that?” 

Jimmy started disagreeing, promising they’ll do their best and that no Bad Boy Plans™ would be put into action while he was recovering. 

But Grian was already fading, letting his head droop until his head was cushioned by his arms and a blanket. 

He could trust them. 

They’d keep him safe.

Just from my last couple fics, I like this paragraph of a Callian (Lie to Me) fanfic:

'Cal and Gillian have never been single at the same time. And a part of Gillian has always believed that that was the real reason why they have never made a go of it. It had been a guilty thought, hastily pushed away while she had still been with her husband, but sometimes she couldn't help thinking: if I was free, and he was free, we'd not stay that way for long. '

Bc I think it fits their relationship (or lack thereof) vry well :)

What kind of document do you use to you write? Microsoft Word? Google Docs? Straight in the AO3 text box?

Usually on my phone in a telegram messenger chat with just myself in it, I write '#wip' '#nobackup' 'wip: [fictext]', when I post it I delete the '#wip' message, when I backup sth to my laptop/hard drive I delete the '#nobackup' message, and I can easily search it all

When I'm on my laptop I write in Word

Sometimes when I want to finish sth (either really short fics I write in one go eg drabbles, or half finished fics I just want to get done), I write directly in an Ao3 draft knowing I have to finish within the month or it'll auto delete xD (yes I could just copy it before that happens but still, the deadline pressure makes me write more)

I just realized that in my panic-induced message (by the way I am writing on computer right now and in my previous message, and I can't use my beloved emojis, I saying that because I don't want to sound cold :D), I did not answer most of the message you wrote, sorry about that ! I hope the situation at work and your club is better and you're not stressed too much. Thanks for the congrats on my thesis ! I am a language teacher, so I graduated in education sciences and didactics. I'll have the opportunity to work pretty much anywhere in the world I'm accepted into in the future, which is one of the reasons I like to learn about different cultures and I feel like it's something that has a lot of influence in how I write characters !

I have heard about Korean Odyssey but never watched it. If you like fantasy, I absolutely loved Tail of the Nine Tailed ! There's two seasons and the first one is romance but truthfully, everybody watched for the bromance, and the second season is basically just that LMAO ! You're right about Under the Queen's Umbrella ! Didn't expect to love it so much but I did. It is rare enough to see period dramas where the parents are actually good parents, and the relationships between the characters were so well developed ! I, for once, really loved the Queen, she is the one that drives this show and she is everything I love in a character. Yes, The Moon is sci-fi, about a guy stuck on the moon basically. Interestingly enough, I have never seen Interstellar though XD

Sorry for the slight delay in response, I had a busy day yesterday and wanted to take a little time to properly think about the gift to see if it is in fact feasible on my part, which I have come to the conclusion that, yes, it is. Don't worry, you did not give me the impression I had to write a lot or anything, it's just that I like to develop characters a bit and would rather have few characters appearing but they have nice relationships, rather than a lot of them just being there for the sake of being there, which is why I panicked when you mentioned bromance because 1. I'm not sure how to write that and 2. I thought I had to include everybody and had a moment of light-headedness XD

For the deadline, because I have intense attention-deficit disorder (coupled with autism, yay XD) and (literally) take four times more time to do anything as others, I had to get to work early so I am sure I can have it done by the final deadline :D Also, it'll helps prevent any blank-page syndrome that might happen :D

So for the story, your message reassured me. I think I'll be able to pull off something you may like.

About the magic : I'll spend time on customs and people, and the way magic is woven into traditions. Rather than a weapon, I want to consider it as the way ancient civilizations viewed it, more as something that cannot be controlled, with a mind of its own (which is why I mentioned the Disney movie Pocahontas briefly, because spirits are a inherent part of the culture of many civilizations). There will be some lore, some legends. If you manage to escape a little to the little world I'll create, then it will be the best reaction to it I can imagine.

About the OC : I will do my utmost best to make her as Reader-unlike as possible. I do not want her to be a flat character, or someone who's decisions are totally unrelatable. I want her to be as human as possible, with her own strengths and doubts, her own biases, her own decisions. I also have observed a very clear shift in the way OCs are handled in the last 5 or 6 years, probably due to this Reader character that is meant to be as general as can be. Too bad, because I was able to read stories with formidable OCs a decade ago or so ! I also have taken a controversial decision with that, and I'm telling you now so you won't be surprised : story will be written in 1st person. Most people hate it but there is a reason I promise ! When I write a story, I almost always use 3rd person, like everybody else. As a consequence, my sentences become excruciatingly long (I am a native French speaker, and I don't think you're a native English speaker, so you must get that). I made a few trials with this story, and in the end, 1st person fits the narration better. Not because I want you to live the story through the OCs eyes, definitely not, but rather because I almost want you to consider the narrator as a friend, who's telling her own story as she's experienced it : you might not always agree with them, but ultimately, it doesn't make what they're telling you any less worth-listening.

About the romance : I read a lot of NSFW, and used to write it a long time ago, but there was never any NSFW intended in this story. To be honest, I'm not sure there will even be a kiss of any kind included LMAO. The most daring thing there will be will probably be some hand-holding and, at most, some wandering eyes. Nothing too extreme XD ! I rather want to focus on their emotional connection, and the steps they take towards each other. Not too different from a soulmate-trope actually, even though it will not be a soulmate story.

I have started some trials, and I think it will definitely be longer than 1k, and most likely longer than 4k or 5k. This is also why I wanted to start as soon as possible ! Plus, I'm not working these days so I'll have time to think about it. There will most definitely be a moodboard as well, those don't take me much time to do, and it you're curious about sources or anything, I'll give you the notes I used to write the story, they might as well be of use after I'm done !

I'm glad to learn we're not too apart in ages : you're 22 and I'm 25 :D

It's nice that the queen / mother figure isn't used as an easy villain figure for once. This definitely bumped the drama up my Netflix watchlist :) I highly recommend Interstellar if you're ever in the mood for scifi. It's really touching.

I am actually not opposed to the first person perspective at all :) My prefered reading style is third person, but I have come across a few novels that pull it off really well. Typing a decent amount of this after my brain is fried from moving so if this doesn’t make any sense please tell me xD I’m sorry this post is so long, but I’m too tired to properly go through and condense it any more.

Here’s some ideas for things the Peter Maximoff corner of tumblr can do for fun :) none of this is set in stone, so if you have any ideas to add please reblog with them! And feedback is needed to know what ideas should actually be used, so if you have a preference for/against any of these ideas please say something!

Ideas:

Some kind of fanfic writing accountability network where those of us that write fics can set deadlines or word count goals and help each other stay on track with consistent writing (can also work for other types of fanworks)

Watching xmen movies (or other Evan projects) together

collecting/posting recommendations for fan works (fics, art, etc)

Different days for specific topics (like a Fix-It Friday where we talk/write about how we’d change things that happened in canon, whether it’s adding Peter to an established story (like seeing how he’d fit into MoM) or fixing plot points that did happen–most common example is ralph, obviously, but there can be other things too)

2x a month (every other week) challenges or exchanges

The main idea right now in terms of boosting fanwork creation is to use Pacemaker to create fanworks every other week (with those weeks being for specific fanwork categories). What I mean by “categories” is that there would be one week for writing (headcanons, fics, analysis, essays, etc), the second week as a break (or to work on things for the third week), the third week for art (any kind), and the fourth week the same as the second (just leading into the writing week, starting the cycle over again for the next month). People could do any week(s) that they want and would post their content on the Saturday of the week designated for their type of fanwork. The weeks could also have prompts so that everyone is creating something based around a certain theme/genre/dialogue prompt. Of course, you aren’t required to participate, and this “schedule” is more for the sake of having some kind of general routine to help people create more consistently if they would like.

For example—If I wanted to do the writing week, I could spend the other three weeks of the month working on my writing. I would track it by using Pacemaker’s challenge feature, which everyone writing can use (if they would like) so we’re able to see where we’re at and can encourage each other to create. Then at the very end of the writing-themed week, I (as well as anyone else participating) would post what I’ve made (probably on ao3 with a tumblr post linking to it). 

Also important to note: @fouralignments and I came up with the fanwork schedule because we both like to have a certain level of structure/routine, but we don’t want this to feel strict or stressful! If this sounds more like homework than fun, or if you have suggestions for how this can feel more enjoyable to participate in, please tell us!

Beyond that idea for fanworks, there’s a few options for some of the other ideas I listed, like streaming. Some options include:

1. Chris:

Short answer: I think Chris has a high sex drive unless he's in his own head. In his own head like with anxiety or sometimes even with work he needs to get done. However... because of that steadily high sex drive, he's probably pretty easy to sway, especially if intimate things are already happening (like cuddling) (because the boy gets too handsy for his own good and ends up making Sebastian's insides turn to mush.))

Longer answer: you know how some people are the kind of people where when they're busy they forget to eat or sleep or whatnot? Well, Chris isn’t exactly like that; he remembers to do those things but if he's busy he gets anxiety surrounding deadlines or to do lists and piling up work and so it makes his libido a little finicky. And so if he's working really hard he probably pushes his needs to the side so he can finish whatever it is, putting himself and his desires in the backseat for a second. And that is if the want to do sexy things is even there at all because again, anxiety is a bitch with killing things like that and its kinda hard to get into the moment when your thoughts are going a million miles an hour.

That being said though Chris, especially in his early adult years, radiates so much frat bro™️ energy that I cannot imagine anything but when he's just normally working- comfortably working and not stressing out, that he'd need to jerk off or get off at least every other day, possibly every day too. five good things

because it's November already, and therefore definitely time to remind myself there are nice things in the world.

The big one first. I am GOING TO GERMANY FOR CHRISTMAS! We spent Christmas with our friends in Schleswig-Holstein in 2016 and it was honestly the best Christmas we've ever had - and then we haven't managed to do it again, for various reasons. I was chatting with them last month and they invited us, and after some discussion we decided that the missus will stay home with Last Cat Standing just in case (he has an overactive thyroid but is otherwise fine, but we're just a bit paranoid about something unexpected happening given that we lost two cats unexpectedly this year), but I'm going to go, and do a bit of full-immersion German practice :D I booked everything yesterday and I'm ludicrously excited.

I'm writing again! I spent most of September and October feeling distinctly inspiration-free, but the prompts are getting the muses working again, and that feels great.

The missus finishes at her job this week, and is going contracting - and has a contract beginning at the start of December. Which should mean she's considerably happier and less stressed, as the job has been getting steadily worse and worse over the last year or so, with various people who don't know what they're doing being put in positions of authority etc etc. So now she can work for herself, which will suit her much better.

I've been going for long walks at the weekends when the weather hasn't been too hideous, and have discovered a few places I haven't been to before, within walking distance of home. And, much like Lucifer at the end of Season of Mists, I have to admit the autumn leaves are pretty fucking spectacular. XD

I have a really nice Yuletide assignment which is going to involve reacquainting myself with one of my favourite comfort-things, and ought to be an absolute joy to complete.

Speaking of assignments, I've nearly finished the first one for this year's OU course - I'd have sent it in last week (deadline is this Thursday) but the tutor was promising a list of hints and tips a few days before the deadline, so I was waiting for that - which she posted yesterday and doesn't include much I haven't already covered (I think XD ) so I'm going to incorporate that and check it all over tomorrow evening while the missus is out, and then submit, and then get on with next week's work. I'm really enjoying it so far - it's very different from anything I've done before, but really fascinating :D

And I'm ploughing through all the German vocab I kind of abandoned at the beginning of the last course because I didn't have the headspace for it - only another thousand words and phrases to go, and then I'll be able to dip in when the app thinks I need to practise stuff (I'm not quite sure how much time elapses between 'learning' a word and needing to practise it). I've been telling it not to ask me anything I get right first time when the next practice round comes, so the total number I need to practise (I've got about 2800 things in there, which is somewhat overwhelming) should come down gradually. I'm doing practice quizzes of 15 items each, and mostly getting between about 3 and 6 right XD but a lot more of it is coming back to me, so hopefully it'll start to embed itself. This was a whole lot easier when I was 16!

I’m a big fan of Fairy!Hyrule, and these fics you wrote just made me love him even more. Would it be possible to set up a possible wait time for the next part of the story? Because I can’t wait - I have so many questions and ideas of what will happen next. Will Hyrule’s fairy side be revealed to the Chain? What will Warriors think of that? Will the princesses provide insight for fixing the land and the Fairy Fountains? Maybe Legend can help with that, since I think there was an implication that he was an ancestor of Hyrule’s mother, who also used to be a Great Fairy. Does Legend end up marrying a Great Fairy and becoming a male one himself? Will the land ever actually get better, and become like the other Hyrule’s? I don’t mean to be rude, or put pressure on you, or anything like that, so you can take as long as you want. Thank you!

Hi hello lovely to meet you!

The next part of the story... I'm not entirely sure? I've got a fic in another fandom with a deadline this month which is causing me bother, so I'm not allowed to write any /new/ Zelda stuff until after that's done. ^^; I intend to then work on the fairy series, and maybe throw in some oneshots between so I don't burn out, at least up to the end of my definite plans, but I may need to do a non-series oneshot or three first to get my head back into it. Especially as the next bit is a chapterfic, which /always/ give me trouble, so I want the whole thing done before I start uploading it. Or at least be a couple of chapters ahead. The first chapter is /nearly/ finished, just needs a start, but I want at least half of it done before I upload anything. The end is the easiest bit to write, of course. xD

As for the other bits... I guess I can put some little hints towards spoilers under the cut

Can't have a fairy au without it getting revealed to everyone sooner or later! That's actually on the agenda in the chapter-fic! Which is Hyrule and Legend swapping the PoV stick, though /after/ that Warriors and time get to have some time. There's an earlier version where Warriors learnt it first half-finished in my drafts, though its been scrapped as it no longer fits with other things the series did. May finish it off sometime and throw it up not connected to the rest.

Legend and Hyrule's mother were acquainted, though its on Hyrule's /father/'s side they're blood related - his mother has been about since Time's era, but only been human enough to have kids for the last hundred years or so. The link in the hair thing is a wee bit more complicated. Try think about what actually causes Legend's hair to swap between blond and pink in LU, and a little on ALTTP. I do have some vague plans for it to come up if the heroes wander by the ranch any time soon, though the blood relation by his father's line likely never will just because the information has been lost.

I don't really have a whole ending in mind, but I have a few odds and ends. I will say though that Hyrule's hometime /is/ in a better state than it was when he ended his adventure (they just hit an especially awful part), and the improvement is continuing. Just. Starting from the more settled areas.

I'd love to drop the Princesses in on this one but we'll see. I'm currently fighting Time, Hyrule, and Warriors to try make them all talk again ^^;
