Thought I'd mark the end of the mad knitting rush by sharing what I'd made. There's a couple of summer tank tops I'll want to make, but I won't have the same drive to knitknitknit in quite the same way.

Display shawl in the yarn store made an easy cast on for me, I just got the same brand of yarn in the same colour as the sample and cast it on immediately upon coming home. I love it so much. I've been working on another shawl that is easy but has a lot of star stitches so it's kind of slow going, and I wanted something simple to work on when I'm tired of all the star clusters lol. So this shawl was perfect, the garter obviously goes by really quickly and the lace patterning is really only two different repeating rows so it's super easy and quick too. Only downside is that I finished it within the week and realized it was very small for what I wanted...... soooo I went back and got more yarn and am knitting more! Which I did so fast I forgot to take a picture of the original ending of the shawl before I expanded it, so oops... anyways.

I used my allotted Autumn Yarn Splurge on some Knitpicks fingering weight for the Stephen West knit along and. It got to my local post office last night at about 5 pm. On a Saturday. My yarn is so close that I can SMELL it but I won't get it until tomorrow. I have plenty of time before to knit my swatch ect but I want my Pretties Now.

also amidst uncertainty and feeling less than themselves, to all my fellow moots and writers: i hope u know how amazingly all of you write, whether it’s smut or angst or fluff. even if interactions are lacking (some of it can be blamed on t*mblr’s shitty ui/ux and programming) or the writing just feels off for some reason, it’s perfectly normal. it’s part of growth and improvement and it’s like yadda yadda yadda we’ve all heard this before and don’t really implement it because the brain has funny ways of making us feel like shit and it absolutely sucks but it will pass soon. i won’t have a set time on how long this will last and i cannot tell you how long of a break you should take but at the end of the day you should be prioritising yourself first and when you feel refreshed, you can come back to your wips and requests and first drafts. sending all my love to u guys cause we do this shit for free. give yourself more credit and take care of yourself fr <3
