The Corroded Coffin fan base find out about Steve entirely by accident.

It starts, of course, with the kitten. After Eddie’s had her for a few days he decides to make an official post on his Instagram, which is a big deal because he normally just lets his PR people handle posting. All he normally does is post shit to his story, but the kitten deserves more formal recognition than that.

So he picks his favorite pictures of her (his camera roll is filled to the brim at this point) and posts them with the caption meet the light of my life, Lemon Verbena Deathclaw Goblikon Munson (Lemon for short). It’s like kicking a wasp’s nest, but, like, the good version: everyone and their dog shares the post to their stories, edits set to any number of Corroded Coffin’s hit songs are spread across TikTok, coffintwt is in an uproar.

Several hours later, Eddie posts a video to his story. He films Lemon on the couch and asks her, “Miss Lemon, how does it feel to be the best, most famous cat in the world?” She responds by meowing loudly and trying to bite his camera. Steve is sitting on the couch, so part of his thighs end up in the video.

Aside from having great thighs, the odd sliver of Steve’s legs or torso or arms showing up in various photographs and videos that Eddie puts on his story over the next few days does not draw a lot of attention from the Corroded Coffin fanbase. If Eddie were to guess, he would probably say they assume it’s just Eddie or one of his bandmates. It’s not until Eddie posts a video of Lemon trying to climb onto the couch on her own and Steve’s hands make an appearance steadying her that people take notice. More specifically, the Twitter account that’s dedicated to posting close-ups of the members of Corroded Coffin’s hands posts a screenshot of the video with the caption those hands do not belong to our boys.

From there, it becomes a wild source of controversy on Twitter as coffintwt tries to figure out for sure if those hands belong to anyone in the band. There’s a lot of back and forth, but ultimately they seem to agree that the original poster is The Authority on the matter. Then it becomes a game of going back through other pictures of Lemon and trying to figure out if the guy showing up the background of so many of them is also someone outside the band. A lot of screenshots start flying around with captions like none of the corroded boys would wear yellow or the rest of the band other than eddie were in LA when this one was posted and so on and so on. 

A consensus is reached: Eddie has been spending a lot of time with someone not in the band, quite possibly a boyfriend.

On a rainy Tuesday three weeks after they met, Eddie lays back on his couch with Steve laying on his chest and Lemon laying on his chest. “They’re onto you, Stevie,” Eddie says. 

“Who’s onto me?” Steve asks, not looking away from the basketball game on the TV. He’s terminally offline and has been blissfully unaware of the saga unfolding. 

“Twitter,” Eddie explains. “My fans have noticed you in the background in a lot of pictures of Lemon and they’ve started putting the pieces together.”

Steve scratches Lemon under her chin and she purrs happily. “Why are they looking at me instead of her?”

“Hell if I know,” Eddie says, reaching around Steve to rub Lemon’s head. “It’s not like you’re super drop-dead gorgeous or anything.”

Grinning, Steve turns his head to kiss Eddie. “Thanks, baby.”

Before Steve can turn his attention back to the game, Eddie hooks his finger under his chin to keep Steve’s eyes on him. “I have a question for you,” he says, “Well, two questions.”

“What’s up?” Steve asks. 

“First, do you want to be my boyfriend?” Eddie knows that three weeks is kind of ridiculously fast, but Steve has practically moved in already, spending all his free time here and sleeping in Eddie’s bed most nights. So Eddie’s not super worried about what his answer is going to be.

Sure enough, Steve smiles. “Yeah, I do,” he says. He kisses Eddie before asking, “What’s the second question?”

“Well, since you said yes, do you mind if I post something about us to stop the speculation?”

“I don’t mind,” Steve says, “But can I tell Robin first so she finds out from me?”

Eddie nods. “Yeah, of course. Do you want to go ov—?” But oh, Steve is already pulling out his phone and calling Robin. Okay then. 

“Hey, Robbie! Just wanted to let you know that Eddie’s my boyfriend now….No, he wasn’t already….Well, we hadn’t talked about it….Okay, that’s kinda mean….No, it’s okay….Yeah, Lemon is great! Do you want to talk to her?” Steve holds the phone up to the kitten and she bites the microphone. Steve puts the phone back to his ear. “That was her….Okay, I actually have to go. I just wanted to tell you….Bye, love you!”

Steve puts his phone back in his pocket and then grins at Eddie. “Alright, I’m ready.”

“If there’s one thing about you, baby, you’re a go-getter,” Eddie says, laughing. He gets his own phone out and holds it out to take a picture of them. Lemon, who is fascinated by phones, looks up at the camera as he snaps the photo. Perfect. 

Eddie posts the picture with the caption the rumors are true, Lemon has two dads. she gets her looks from Steve’s side. Then he puts his phone down and wraps his arms back around Steve. He can worry about his fans’ reaction later. Right now, he has other plans.

“What do you say, boyfriend?” he murmurs in Steve’s ear. “Should we go put Lemon in the bathtub?”

She basically imitates fly agaric in order to protect herself, bc she’s tiny and defenceless

I imagine them to be sentient pieces of a huge organism THE big purple mushroom lmao

Those are just random dudes you help with random quests, using the light of your lantern

Basically we had a subject “Game design”

The assignment was to create a pixel game concept: mainly just sprites, tiles and a “gameplay” screenshot

I will post the project I submitted later on (I need to keep u guys entertained while I’m on portfolio grind, so intrigue pauses ☝️)

This project however 🤨

Was a product of one interesting situation

I finished my project on time with no problem, but one person from my study group didn’t

They pretty much copied the sprites from an existing game (I believe they didn’t trace them, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they did lmao)

Professor found out

and said “you either do an actual game in 3 days or you fail this class”

How take a guess who came to me after this pathetically sobbing and asking for help

And I, being a naive idiot, made them an entire game in 1 hour

Completely for free

Thinking they will change and they were probably just too busy to do this assignment

I’m incredibly angry at myself, bc the same person submitted an AI generated image as their art project next semester AND NOBODY CALLED THEM OUT ON IT

I’m still incredibly mad to this day

like i really don't ever care all that much about things like graphics and FPS. and clearly i'm enjoying the game (too much) even on my old crappy laptop. but i do sometimes wistfully think about what it would be like on the highest settings. how even more beautiful the scenery would be. how even cuter genzy would look............ sigh

i got a taste of what it would be like by watching this DD2 relaxing ambient music and scenery video on YouTube that just slowly panned over various areas and it was so absolutely gorgeous and made me slightly sad my own game could not look like this 🤣

Playing The Veilguard - Update

For now, as first impressions after roughly 20 hours of game (first 3 spent on CC) i can confidently say:

Combat on DA has never been better. I'm playing mage and now that i'm more familiar with the controls it's the best mage combat in the series.

Dialogues are not bad so far, just a bit awkward in places, totally understandable as it's the beginning of the game and everyone is still in "introductions mode".

Narrative felt a bit rushed in places for me but i also understand they had to set certain events quickly to really start the game.

Graphics look really good. Bright areas are clear and beautifully crafted, blighted areas are really blighted, muddy, bloody disgusting. For anyone complaining the series no longer has any darkness or gore, just know i took screenshots i can't share without flagging them. DAO blight feels like cheap Halloween decor by comparison.

New darkspawn looked silly sometimes if you paused the trailers at the right frame but while playing??? You're gonna run, fadestep, sprint, roll and jump away for dear life.

Less? bloat. The Crossroads have many blocked paths and every time you find one it gets added to your quest log but some even state "this won't unlock until later" so they'll just sit there clogging your quest log until "later" arrives, whenever that may be. Also if you're not careful some companions quests will pile up with everything else. Loot you pick up is mostly tagged as "valuable item" , you can check descriptions for more worldbuilding but you either keep them for no reason or sell them, that's all they're there for. Because you can sell them to factions to increase your reputation with them/add to their power, if you have many valuables i suggest not selling them all in one go and try to split them more evenly between whatever factions are available to you then.

The game is certainly more linear, but the different areas do open up new paths as you progress so if a path is blocked when you're around busy with a quest, trust it'll open up later, be sure to revisit locations after you finished whatever you were doing there the first time around.

Equipment progression is done simply by finding/buying the same item again, multiple times, or at the Caretaker's workshop, and it's always the same item, same stats with increasing numbers, while in DAI one could use the same schematic to craft three different staves, each with different elements and stats depending on the materials used. I miss that, but i get a simple progression system like DAV's keeps you more focused on the game progression as a whole instead of distracting you with picking elfroot everywhere or tracking the right creature to get this or that leather because you want a robe that looks blue.

The UI is gorgeous, maybe it's me being partial to all that purple and gold, but it really looks amazing and simple to use. Although it did take me 10 hours of gameplay to realize there's a local map and a world map because i didn't see the option on screen but that was just me being too "in the zone" to notice.

Companions are good so far. Bellara is nice, Lucanis is the love of my life. Each have a unique ability that Rook can ask them to use on the field (Neve can activate certain magical artifacts, for example and thats the only example i can give without majorly spoiling some things) and this helps with reaching places and opening doors. Once Rook gets the lyrium dagger they can also do an extra thing or two.

The Lighthouse not only offers accomodations for you and your party, it also has a puzzle here and there to keep you busy, and the bit of decor Rook can arrange in their room is also nice; you can find or purchase decor items and decide where to put them, choosing from some alotted surfaces.

I'd like to keep typing but i want to keep playing! I'll be posting more in detail about my current playthough on my personal tmblr so as to not spam this one.

Overall, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not disappointing, on the contrary it's giving and giving and this is just starting, i can't even imagine how good it'll keep on getting.

As some content creators and fans have suggested, don't rush it. Explore everything, read everything, try as much as possible from what The Veilguard has to offer. We waited ten years for this, better make it last ten more.

And don't forget to read the codices! There's some interesting things in there like for instance, Evanuris correspondence.

I just beat Red Dead Redemption 2! Originally released on the PS4 but played on a PS5. Published by Rockstar Games, who would be best known for bringing the Grand Theft Auto series to life. Amongst many other hits throughout the years. Red Dead Redemption is simply considered the "spaghetti western grand theft auto". And of course the first Red Dead Redemption would be a hit. But after a few years of putting out constant bangers in the video game market. Rockstar may have dropped their magnum opus with Read Dead Redemption 2. Allow me to share my thoughts...

In a nutshell: Yeah, it's the spaghetti western version of Grand Theft Auto. But that's such an understatement. Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale following a group of outlaws on the run. Fighting for survival, pulling off heists and scams while running from the law and surviving in America during the cusp of the industrial revolution. It's a colorful group of misfits led by the flamboyant Dutch Van Der Linde. At first you control Arthur Morgan. Dutch's wingman, for lack of a better word. But the game pulls you through just about every Western movie trope in existence. Immersed in several unique experiences and insane characters only Rockstar can come up with. Whether you like to shoot up cowboys, rob banks and trains, go horseback riding or go out hunting and fishing in the wilderness? This game has it all!

The Good: Fuck! This game is GOOD. In all caps! Visually stunning in so many ways. I previously thought Zelda: Breath of the Wild had some of the most gorgeous open world visuals in gaming. But Read Dead Redemption 2 is on another level. The whole game plays like a cutscene. The stellar graphics and environment details are impeccable. I wish I could post more than 10 screenshots  but you're better off playing the game yourself. Pretty graphics are one benefit. But when you mix that with a solid gameplay experience with seamless load times. This game is just a joy to play. But this isn't a typical cowboy game. You have a lot of options going on. And it's all executed in the best way possible. From gunfights, to horse racing, to stealth missions, to gambling. You can hunt, fish, pick plants and herbs to cook and camp. You have the freedom to do it all in the most aesthetically pleasing way possible by today's technological standards. Personally, I enjoyed the Texas Hold Em and Domino mini-games BETTER than a lot of the solo release games out there. Complete with shit-talking banter that cowboys make up during poker games. I will most likely keep playing RDR2 just for the hold 'em simulator. It's better than that shitty World Series of Poker game. But I digress... Although this is based in a fictional world, there were a lot of American historical elements that made it feel authentic, without it feeling too goofy like Saints Row or Fallout 76. Yes, this game is fantastic! But now, let's get a little bit nasty...

The Bad: I'm struggling to find the faults in this game. Like, I can't exactly call this game perfect? But it's pretty damn close. There were times where I found my self struggling with the controls. Seamlessly transitioning from a horse chase, to a physical brawl, to a shootout could be jarring from one point to another. Especially during a panic situation. But it was mostly balanced throughout. Allowing to start at certain save points alleviated some of the frustration. Although some players would consider that nerfed gameplay? Also, I heard from other folks complaining about the consistent traveling between missions? Which is admittedly HUGE distances at times. It feels like a horseback simulator. But you have options between fast travel, or riding along a brief horse & carraige cutscene, or ramble on in "theatrical mode" which enables cool camera angles while you travel the wilderness. I like it because it allows ample time for smoke/snack breaks between missions. The scenery is gorgeous and worth just sitting back and appreciating the atmosphere. I'm sure there are dudes out there who couldn't care less about ambiance and need that constant dopamine drip. But don't get it twisted. You'll frequently have run ins with rival bandits, or law enforcement, or a pack of wolves, or cocaine bear when you'd least expect it. So you're always on alert. Take that as a good or bad thing? But there's honestly not a whole lot of bad to play with in this game. Except for Micah. He's BAD! LOL! Fuck that guy. But every story needs a good villain, right?

Overall: Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece. It's a culmination of all the great things about prevous Grand Theft Auto games plus everything that was great about the prevous Red Dead Redemption games multiplied by a thousand. I also appreciate a game that keeps the party going after you beat the game. Replay value is important these days. And you definetly get your money's worth with RDR2. With a robust online mode, along with the countless side quests this game has to offer. Beating the story mode was just the tip of the iceberg. I'll still be playing this game in between all the other titles I encounter. This is a virtual world I don't mind coming back to. And that says a lot. This game is Sunset Riders on crack. This game is like a Sergio Leone wet dream. By far, the best western game ever. Believe the hype. Red Dead Redemption 2 rules!

Oh right I said something about giving my opinions on the expansion so uh, I guess I should start writing them out now.

Obiviously spoilers for the entirety of Dawntrail MSQ!!!

Tbh I don't know where to start iuefhiuefh.

Uhhh graphical update turned out nice! Out of the 3 of us, me and Shu kinda questioned if the update even happened since Hawu'li and Dre were virtually same as before, and Nana (player) kept mentioning how cute Nana (character) looks now. My only complaint is that Hawu'li's eyes are like one or two shades darker than they used to be, and I'm currently kinda debating if I want to bother using fantasia to fix it.

Enviroments look nice, and while I'm yet to go to many of the old areas (I sent Shu to go look at Il Mheg while me and Nana sat in que and it looked very nice), new areas are gorgeous! All of us literally screamed out loud when we noticed that the grass bends when you touch it haha. I'm also personally fan of the little tilt thing mounts do now if you strafe - it's very satisfying and I keep strafing around just to see my bike or flying mount tilt (❁´◡`❁)

As for story: I'm genuely surprised to see posts that some people didn't like it? I wouldn't call it my favorite expansion, but to me the story was good and the characters enjoyable. Only thing I'd complain about is that the pacing is very funky at times: first few areas are fine, then it slows down to a crawl, then speeds up very quickly to again slow down to almost complete halt before things pick up again. I still fail to care too much about the "cowboy area" - it felt very disconnected from everything else. Kinda same with the moblin area, but at least that place had some connectivity to the competition (+ the kidnap plot).

Meanwhile the "blue area" (sorry about the terms iauefhhu I don't have game open rn and I am chronically incapable of remembering any names) felt rushed: we wander in, no one wants to talk to us, then suddenly the big antagonist up till that point just goes "hey uh our culture's fucked, if you wanna change it I'll help". Imo that could've used some more time. Maybe have the Wuk Lamat instance happen earlier, and have the big lizard man think about things a bit longer, just to make it feel like he didn't change his entire worldview in like, half a quest.

As mentioned, cowboy area felt incredibly boring to me and I honestly don't know why. Catboy tribe was fine - I'd rather go spend more time with them. Their whole thing was pretty rushed, and while I have a small feeling that they'll be part of the patch storylines, I'd liked if we had been given a bit more time with them before things went to hell again.

Heritage found, Solution 9 and all that was better paced and the storytelling there was great! Like seeing one of the npcs forget about the old dead lady within seconds felt very horrifying. Shu and Nana haven't gotten that far yet (I finished the story on my own after returning home), but I remember spamming groupchat with "what the fuuuuuck that's so fucked" and stuff like that lol. Attack on Tuliyollal too, I think I have a few screenshots saved of npcs I noticed crying after dead loved ones on the streets right after it. Devs did great job portraying how scary the entire thing was.

What else uhhhh.... oh right the last area. Absolutely gorgeous again, and I do get the lore reasons, but damn does it suck having the areas go all lifeless if you want to finish story. I was looking forward to taking pictures there in the future :/ I did try and take some quick shots everywhere before going forward, but I'm sure I missed something. Probably have to get new game+ to that point when DT gets added there just for more screenshot locations.

This is already getting long but idc I'm rambling about characters too. Erenville sweet baby boy I am so sorry the entire last half became a personal nightmare for you (┬┬﹏┬┬) But we got to see him smile! Like actually smile not just tiny smirks! (I should have screenshot of that too lol) They better not write him completely out after this, I wanna go on adventures with him - something that doesn't leave him traumatized maybe.

Also pushing every Wuk Lamat disliker out of the way to hang out with her more. She was a very fun character, and I loved the fact that she actually went and did things on her own, not waiting around for WoL to save her every time like many of the npcs tend to do. She and Hawu'li are besties now.

Green G'raha Koana was a positive surprise too! Smart and a bit snobbish catboy who's bad with his feelings, but makes effort to learn and grow for his people and sister. Absolutely loved him getting very angry when Wuk Lamat was in danger - nerdy cat can go little feral, as a treat. Definitely added into Hawu'li's ever growing polycule - not into his bracelet yet, but they defenitely kissed during msq and probably started (casually) going out after.

Sphene... I really like her dress lol. Uhh I personally felt she was very sus from the start, but I feel like Hawu'li would've not picked up on those. Her plan would've come as complete surprise to him, and made him very very sad. Hawu'li's very "there's always a way if we just try hard enough" type of person, and being told that it's either having everyone else in the universe die or having the Endless die would've seriously got him feeling down for some time. Being a WoL means killing people to protect others sometimes, he knows that, but still. Luckily he had people there with him, who will keep supporting him, but he'll most likely need a little vacation after all this. (Luckily the Tuliyollali inn room is perfect for that haha)

Aaaand lastly, some random thoughts all tossed in no particular order since I can't ramble in the tags:

Whomst the fuck did Zoraal Ja get his kid with??? There wasn't a single other lizard in Solution Nine, and I don't remember seeing any in Heritage Found either. Hell, none of the Alexandria flashbacks show any lizard people either. Did he just get some random hyur lady off the street? If yes then what happened to her? Did she die in childbirth? Got killed by Zoraal Ja for whatever reason?

Tiny jumpscare when milalla lore started saying stuff about "calamity that froze everything" and "came from somewhere else" and I, for a tiny second, feared they'd give some canon lore regarding Sixth and I'd have to go rewrite bunch of things in my own lore for the place. (luckily saved by msq mentioning the most likely came from source)

Happy that they gave us the alpaca mount for free! It's so adorable.

Sad that I had to use 7,5mil gil to get the purple bike mount 😑 I mean Hawu'li is swimming in money since I rarely buy anything (last "big buy" was that golden sheep), but muh money. At least it's a neat mount

They really went "you feel like you aren't needed healers? say no more, heal checks for everyone!". Last time I had to sweat that much on trial fight was Zeromus - DT made every trial pretty intense to heal.

That last trial holy fuck my brain is NOT big enough for it. I somehow survived with only one death (we wiped within like first 30 seconds lol), but god it was so stressful

Dungeons were generally neat, but I noticed a distinct "fuck mages and anyone with long cast times". So so much movement in almost every fight.

"En Avant saves lives" is true for the whm dash skill too. That skill is the best thing we've gotten in ages, it's saved me so many times when I notice I'm in wrong spot at the very last second.

SCREE BOSS! I was so happy when I save it omg. The boss before that sucked but seeing scree made it all better. (Our party immediately went "scree!" in chat lol)

Haven't seen all dungeon drops yet, but craftable/vendor gear is a bit meh. Happy for people who like those Mad Max bondage sets, but I'm not a fan. 98 gear being recolored Ironworks gear was not on my bingo list, but at least the healer top was nice for the few levels I wore it during leveling.

Login ques haven't been too bad! Idk how it goes on NA servers, but on Lich longest que I've seen after the launch (right after launch we had 2,8k que) is like, 40.

Dungeon ques were nonexistent on whm during msq, but now that I'm trying to level dps I regularily get 40 minute waits. Kinda debating if I should just switch to sch and level summoner with that, then swap back and learn to play it on like last dunegon or something.

Fates seem to give like half a mil exp (exp boosted ones give double iirc), so I've just been doing them while sitting in que.

Yet to try picto or viper but they look fun.

Azem mark on the key thing just before the final fight made me immediately think about Eleos coming to help his lovely little shard again 🥺

Koana has very nice jp voice, but I can't shake the feeling I know it from somewhere. Apparently I managed to get a screenshot of credits where his VAs are shown and *jazz hands* his seiyuu is Kaito Ishikawa. So it's probably his role as Iida (BNHA) that I'm recognizing since I've been watching bnha while eating for past few weeks. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Oh right and since I mentioned that N'jinh would go with Hawu'li this time: I'm slowly putting everything together after MSQ but I think he'll come along right from the start. Tural catboy lore doesn't fit him too well lol.

Tryin' to get some nice family portraits, and this gal just walked right in front of the camera.

I get so frustrated as I try to find "just the right" pose for my sims. I use CC pose packs, but the facial expressions are either too serious or too goofy for my needs. The serious ones don't look so great on elders.

I've started futzing with combining single-sim poses and (partial) group poses. The draped-arm pose is from a group pose, while the hand-at-head is a solo one. I keep coming back to @ratboysims pose packs, as I can often interchange poses, as long as they're in the same position (eg left, middle, center)

If I wasn't so stubborn about getting "physical" copies of the pictures (eg objects you can display in their house), I'd work on getting more family portraits. I had some really pretty ones from Harper Ivey's family. Alas, with 8 sims in the family, there's no one left to work the camera!

Obligatory body horror of everyone standing in the same place.

The Henford-on-Bagley world is so gorgeous. No need for a fancy background. They're just in their front yard.

I think this was 3 separate poses. You can tell by how they're each clustered together.

Middle kid was sorta plunked down in the middle, using a separate solo pose.

Harper's 3 older daughters are in more of the "group model" poses, but each from a different pose.

I really liked this family portrait, centered around the couch. There were a lot of options, and I really liked how many spots there were for toddlers and kids.

Iirc, I had multiple sims in the same pose, so they could hold all those toddlers.

Again, had the 2 children in the same pose, so the "line" could be extended. Otherwise, I think the original pose had 1 child and 3 toddlers.

I really love Harper's kids, but I think playing in that world made it extra fun.

Fun fact: When you "take photos" in the game to get photo-objects, the game takes a wide-view screenshot at the same time. So whatever cropping you had in mind is lost.

You also can't make more "prints" from a photo, so you have to take multiple at the same time if you want different sizes.

But wait, there's the photography skill! Some of your pics turn out like shit if your skill is low. What do you do?

Apologies, but I'm currently having to slow down my regular rambly posts about Soulsborne theories due to my crummy living situation. Hidden under the read more because it's frankly embarrassing and petty.

My stepdad hates me for some reason and because I asked whether we could move the router 15 feet toward the center of the house so I could connect to the wi-fi from the living room, he decided instead to block all my devices from the router—my phone, my ipad that I use to upload art, my game consoles, everything. He says this is for the sake of "discipline" and that I need to "learn a lesson." I am 27 years old. All I'm learning is that he's an asshole.

But I digress.

Though I could get away with posting pictures taken from elsewhere, I prefer posting my silly theories using my own priddy screenshots. Since my PS5 is blocked, this is not an option, which has been especially painful since I just took some of the most gorgeous god damn digital photographs of Limgrave and its denizens. Yes, including Blaidd and Ranni.

I'm currently trying to find a place to live, preferably somewhere far, far away (currently my most helpful friend group is the polycule of Irish transwomen I've gladly been accepted by even after affirming my cissiness). In the meantime, here's hoping my stepdad sees that I've learned my dire lesson in not questioning his weird defensiveness over the wi-fi. How the fuck am I supposed to look for a place to move without internet, anyway?

But thankfully my gorgeous girl was here and gave me a slice of home so I don’t miss you too badly.” Heat rushes through your system, settling hot in your chest like it always does when Jake calls you his.  It’s as you pull out the apple cider from the fridge which you’re planning on making on the stove that you hear Jake’s tone change. “Sir.” That one word is enough to capture your interest. Who in his family would Jake call sir? Not his brothers. His dad or his grandfather then.

Money, Money, Money : Jake 'Hangman' Seresin x Reader

That's when you'd decided that turn-about was fair play. It's not an accident that the lounge chair you're on is right in view of the wheel. You start by sitting up and stretching, exaggerating the actions and how your tits jiggle with each movement. You can't read Jake's expressions from behind his mirrored lenses, but you know he's only looking at you. Which leads you to this very moment. You’ve been lying completely bare in the sun for close to an hour now. You turn over, reaching for the bottle of sunscreen and squirting some between your palms. The rich scent of coconut and hibiscus hangs heavy in the air as you warm the sticky lotion in your hot hands. You loll your head to the side, keeping direct eye contact with your husband as you cup your heavy breasts in your hands. You slather the lotion carelessly over your tits, pausing to tweak your nipples until your areolas are pebbled and your nipples are peaked even in the hot, heavy afternoon air. Okay, so I don’t know if any of you have caught on to my subtle hints toward this lovely couple, but I figured it’s about time I introduced them. This is Jack and Rose Dawson on their wedding day! Rose is my character, while Jack is owned by a friend of mine, @whoretownsims, aka Drew. You can view his interpretation of our characters here.

I grabbed a bunch of romantic poses and snagged some gorgeous wedding CC (even the “venue” was a gallery find - it’s so vast and beautiful!!), which inspired me to make this series of images! In fact, I actually took a lot more screenshots, and as I don’t want to clog up this post with like, seven more images, I just made a separate page on my blog where you can view them here!

Not only did I find a... *ahem* movie-accurate hairstyle for Rose, but her dress was also a gorgeous find (courtesy of @vintagesimstress​)! I don’t even know how long I spent looking for a dress that would suit her style. Ideally, I pictured her veil to be slightly longer, but eh, I kinda gave up and went with the one shown here. I think it compliments her outfit nicely, and I’m sure her husband thinks she looks just as beautiful and radiant. ♥︎

As you can see, some of their wedding photos are framed in their home. :) They’re very much in love with each other, can’t you tell?? yes, there’s another one of these “custom” photos on the side there

Funny story, I have this whole convoluted method for taking photos which involves summoning/teleporting a random townie to the lot, adding them to my family (I remove them afterwards when the photo session is done) and giving them a camera, then cheating their photo skill up so they can take perfect photos once I pose my other sims (look, I don’t want to download a game-breaking mod for this, okay? I’m cheap, *wheeze*). The “photographer” I summoned was this fine specimen, Deandre Herron.

He’s kind of weird, and it’s not just because of the way he looks. The whole time he was on this lot, he had the “poorly decorated” moodlet. DESPITE THIS BEING ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOTS I’VE EVER LAID EYES UPON?? Oh, and it turns out he’s kind of a creep. When I looked in his relationships tab, he’d already went and made acquaintances with a bunch of people, but there was one person he was “friends” with: a LITERAL CHILD. STRANGER FUCKING DANGER.

Besides that, it took some... well, adjustments to get the Dawsons to pose properly (one of the poses apparently only worked if the teleporter thing was placed diagonally??? It was weird). It didn’t happen too often, but once in a while, they would end up in the wonkiest poses if I didn’t place the teleporters correctly.

But yeah, anyways, be on the lookout for more of the Dawsons!! They’re my favorite couple in my town.

As someone who lost a friendship after giving away thousands , overstaying my welcome when I was homeless, not knowing how to watch someone baby and generally not being used the I thought I could be but physically not capable of and I didn't have people who cared enough about me to tell with respect but instead threw me out on a sidewalk in broad daylight.

In life we all have inner ring and outer ring friends and they are both. Inner rings friends are like the first poster in the screenshot the one who want to give you as much free labor as you need because that's how they want to show thier friendship.

The other is a outer ring friend who understand that labor is a gorgeous way to show up but so is fun. Why move thier stuff when you can buy the movers for your friends . Why listen to them vent when you know you're probably going to accidentally influence them to do something horrible even with your BEST intention and instead you find the person they need and you be the distraction they want until they can stand on thier own even if it's holding on to your shoulder

Some of you have NEVER lost a good friend because of a common occurrence that went sour real fast and if you did you sew together some " signs" in order to fling that person put your atmosphere like a runaway moon and that works for some people but some of you the wrong things from the wrong people and you'll never know because some of you have a very very very limit view of friendship

Inner friends have the ablity and the means and the patience and the humility and the reflex to drop everything, within stand alot of your shitty personality and persistence to hit the goal at all time.

Outer friends realize when you're cracking from the inside and from the outside reccomend the things you need to keep up.your facade and even are the ones who are least likely to help cause they know they're someone better and they refuse to accidentally break you or themselves because you are just too valuable to them for that. The person who said " im an adult I woild never ask my friend move " is stupid cause asking for hell doesn't make you less than an adult but every adult had that moment where they could ask thier friends for something and chose against cause " I love my friends so much I valued thier energy I can do this alone and thier energy can be used for something layer like drinks , a sprot game or sitting on a. Chat playing two different games but just fucking Vibing . Yeah I think my friend would appreciate me using thier energy thay way "

The person who said buy movers is dumb because this was someone replying to someone who hopeful will or has successfully moved thier friends stuff. Some of you think you are the friend that can drop everything and run, some of you think you are the inner friend everyone love with nonflaws, ....some of you are not aware of what type of friend you want to be and actually am .....by the gods and sciences for some of you I hope you never find out you're wrong

Edit also.your friend offer to pay you out of respect. It's nice you didn't take it thats was your choice. Your friend also only.ask you because you were basically were thier last option other than interacting with town folks who they have to pay . You're a blessing and as you imply this was a not really payback for years of kindness before. Thats great that works for your style of friendship but everyone else doesn't have the same style for good or worst that's a reality and maybe finding a meaning ground vs deciding one for everyone woild be more efficient

played today for about 8 hours - my most coherent thought: WE'RE SO FUCKING BACK

im legit having so much fun my every waking thought is consumed by this game which is unfortunately as due to The Circumstances i cannot SPEND every waking moment playing this game. i am in agony but we stay silly.

(there will be spoilers for the start of the game up until post darvin recruitment below)

i love my rook - sometimes i wish they could be a bit more of a shit but im viewing it as the chaotic good au of my very chaotic neutral oc i decided to make my first rook. i think this will stand out less on a further playthrough where im playing a rook that i made for veilguard instead of an existing character who is best known for being an absolute wanker. this is also what i have stand and de riva (working title) for, as the antivan crows need to understand what a little shit they recruited. i also did tear up a little bit when they could literally say they were trans like. in as many words. that was so huge. theyre also GOREGEOUS i struggled a bit with cc at first and made what is canonically a 6'3 man tiny and had to go back after the start and totally remake them in the mirror but i actually like them better the second time lmaoooo a wins a win

game is fucking beautiful absolutely 10/10 every single environment is gorgeous and so are all the companions. feys hair is so bouncy when they run i am transfixed by it. d'meta's crossing was fucking hideous in a very good way and everything is so stunning. my pc is doing its level best and while we did crash once it seems to be running smoothly otherwise (apparently an ogre and rain physics is too much but the DRAGON runs fine. go figure)

the sound i made when dorian rocked up was not one from a rational human. that's my HUSBAND RIGHT THERE and hes GOREGEOUS. anyone saying he looks ugly is such a fucking coward thats the most fuckable late 30s man in thedas. i adore his stupid facial hair its so Him. i also gave my inquisitor a stupid mullet i like to think they are at an impasse where dorian will shave only when mahanon gets a reasonable haircut. theyre so husbands yall.

SPEAKING OF MAHANON i almost cried in the cc yall. getting to make him again and seeing him older and maybe-not-wiser and hearing the inquisition music in the bg.... wish we got a few more choice about him but ill live with it as it isnt his story anymore. im nervous for him to show up but im probably going to scream and cry about it in equal measure. anyway hes hot even with his stupid mullet. im so delighted we get to see him againta

literally in love with all the companions - fey is my planned lucanis romance bc im LITERALLY OBSESSED WITH HIM and have been since pregame and that has not changed but im SO excited to see everyone elses romances on my subsequent playthroughs - bellara is exactly what i wanted for my shadow dragon rook and she was their planned romance. also very excited for harding and the weirdo that is the mourn watches very own crypt baby cessair and for neve and her thembo boyfriend mordred the veiljumper but im also not sure if i can ever abandon treviso :((((( like i agree with lucanis there even without the romance minrathous HAS A WHOLEASS FLOATING SECURITY SYSTEM and youre telling me that did jackshit??? so we'll see how the neve romance goes lmao

ill probably post some screenshots of my rook tomorrow thats my favourite little fuck <3 im having so much fun and i dont even have all the companions yet i cannot wait to see how this all plays out and then do it over and over and over again

Okay this is gonna be a very very long post So!! I am going to give this one a line break hehe~ I was going to go take my own screenshots but instead I decided to just grab pictures from the interactive map!

Outskirts - SU-A13

This room is just a very random kind of out of your way kind of room, doesn't really have much going on aside from an early platforming challenge. But I really like the backrgound here, the depth, the height of it. This is the first room that made me go 'woooooow' and kind of captured that feeling of there being so much more to discover than what's just in front of you as the player.

Industrial Complex - HI-B13

Very similar reasons to the first room on this list, this one was a room I didn't even know existed until like 6 months into playing the game hehe. I like the layered feeling this room has and it's also fun to navigate while avoiding the lizard that spawns here. It's also where I killed my first vulture by getting the bird stuck in one of the corners and stabbing it while crying. Used to be soooooo scared of those things!

Drainage System - DS-A05

Another room that I almost never go to! I really dislike swimming through the long tunnel sections because I always think there's something after me so I usually take the water maze up top. However! This one I just really like. The rust, the water, the fact it kinda looks like my old pc in the back with those fan-like things. It really gives me 'you are in a computer' vibes. Doesn't offer much in terms of environment to climb but it has lilypucks! Those are like my favourite item in game bc pretty. (DS-A11 almost won here, and DS-B07 however I have trauma from B07 because of being jumpscared by a red centipede in Spearmaster's campaign then again as Saint. Honourable mentions though!)

Chimney Canopy - CC-A02

THERE IS A DOGGY IN THE BACKGROUND!!! Okay but in all seriousness, this room I have seen a lot of because my very first playthrough I got so completely lost looking for garbage wastes (don't ask I don't know how I ended up here) and I just... really liked this room. It has a little bit of platforming, a popcorn plant, doggy, and I really love the graffiti in the background which I'm fairy certain is supposed to be an overseer, specifically one of Moon's! But yeah, mainly this room tops because of Doggy.

Garbage Wastes - GW-C02

This room does one of my favourite things really really well. I love the vibes of something absolutely fucking MASSIVE in the distance, and seeing those fragments of fallen bridge, the pieces of machines left to rust, the big ass chains suspending something out of view... Oh man, ooooh mannn... I really really like this one. I remember thinking when I first played if there was a way to go up in this room, sadly there is not but I wondered, and it made me think and hope I got to see some huge ass stuff soon (I was not disapointed, I have the opposite of megalophobia)

Shaded Citadel - SH-D01

It is such a shame shaded is... shaded... because this region is gorgeous!! I'm also completely fine with running through this place dark because if I can't SEE the spiders then they're not real! I like this room because it has an almost blend of cathedral like design mixed with a little bit of brutalist industrial. Seeing those distant shapes through the fog, just the foggy dark vibe in general? Ough I love stuff like that, very mysterious. I also like the water rooms that lead to memory crypts too! I do wonder why there's so many void spawn in those rooms though... hmm

Pipeyard - VS-E07

Had to take TWO screenshots of this bad boy because this room is LONG! I looooove verticality in a room, and this room is just soooo pretty. It has those lovely sky islands colours with the vibes of industrial complex and once again, that feeling of just being a rat stuck in a gaming pc. But this blends together nice pastel colours and brutal decaying industrial really well! Pipeyard is soooo under rated though and I don't get why people are like 'urgh whats the point?'... like the point is to explore, the point is to love this cruel dying world... that's what this room says to me, that there's beauty even in a world that wants to die.

Shoreline - SL-B04

This kind of blends together my reasonings for my fave outskirts room, shaded room and pipeyard room. I just felt so high up here, above the world, this huge vertical climb, this strange mechanical monolith above the sea belowm, it just evokes this powerful feeling of lonliness. Just one little slugcat and this big world layed out before you. I then proceeded to get munched on by the white lizard that lives here.

Sky Islands - SI-A07

Listen, if you didn't guess this is my favourite room in this region I don't know what to tell you lmao. This does So Much of what I love So Well. The clouds, the colours, the challenge of getting here, the story associated with it, the verticality, the little bit of platforming, the bacground elements, the feelings it invokes. 10/10, such a fantastic room. And you know... Spearmaster is my favourite slugcat sooooooo... yeah need I say more? This was actually a harder choice than you might think though because so much of sky islands does the things I love so goddamn well, but yeah, this one does it best.

Farm Arrays - LF-J01

oKAY I hate farm arrays but this room, oh god this fucking room. 10/10 amazing, has that emotion of a journey nearing it's end, hits you with that nostalgia for something you barely even remember, the music, the vibes, the colours... really makes you feel like you're leaving something behind, like this is where things change. I love this room.

The Exterior - UW-F01

Borrowing this screenshot from my other blog, rainworlddaily. Just look at this. Just... EVERYTHING I love about level design gets served to me on a plate here. That sense of sheer WONDER, the accomplishment!!! The fact that there is so much beyond this tiny slice of the world, like Holy Fuck!!! AUGHHH

Five Pebbles - SS-D02

Memory conflux I love yooooouuuuu. This place is just so alien and different from everywhere else in the game, including the rest of Pebbles. It feels alive. It really gives you the impression that you're within a creature, not just a machine. Subterranean - SB-C07

At first I was like 'oh no i don't have a favourite here because this place bores me'. C07 baby I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry I forgot you. Big big fan of the lightning in this room. J02 (the leviathan room) is also very good but I'm scared of water in video games like... a lot, and this one just has the ambience, the style! Gives me the vibes of a subway station, and considering this place does connect to where there are trains, it could be! I mean... there's train carriages in the damn background here hehe

Outer Expanse - OE-TREETOP

Another screenshot I borrowed from rainworlddaily~ Treetop my beloved, my favourite room in the whole dang game. Treetop and the sky islands room are kissing because they do exactly the same thing so well. Treetop though, holy moly, this feels so... how do I explain? Melancholic, nostalgic? It feels like coming home. And looking at this for the first time, I actually cried. This room screams acceptance, it screams I am alive. Best room.

Submerged Superstructure - MS- FARSIDE

I'm actually going to seperate Submerged from Bitter Aerie because imo they should have been seperate regions. Submerged has a few really fun rooms, but I hate underwater segments, and I hate swimming AND water scares me. But this one! I like this one. Not just because you can get Moon's cloak from here but I feel like this takes what shoreline does and does it a lot better! It's also the very furthest east you can get! What is out there, I wonder, beyond Moon? Maybe we'll find out when the Watcher releases!

Past Garbage Wastes - GW-TOWER05

There's no acid in this room. It has fun platforming and climbing. Honestly I try to forget this region exists it has traumatised me. Past garbage wastes is the worst fucking place in this game except parts of Moon's region. I do think this is a fun room though and I wish we got more of this rather than the goddamn acid pools. Do you know how many times Artificer became a nuke because of those? Do you know how many times Spearmaster died to pissed off squidcada? Too many. Fuck this region.

Waterfront Facility - LM-EDGE02

Mmm... balls... Okay but in all seriousness, the precipice is the best part of this region, and while it's cool to see shoreline in such a different light it is so much more efficent to go across the sky bridge while dodging king vultures. I do just love the vibes this room has, how the foreground climbable elements meld with the backgroud, how you can use the environment to pick off the lizards.

Metropolis- LC- dome

DOME BELOVED!!! One of the top rooms that downpour brought to this game. Does exactly what the wall does, and once again does it so so so well. Looking out over the world, struggling to survive in the city, seeing other cities beyond... who else is struggling all alone out there? Who else is paying the price for the path they've put themself upon? I feel like this room sums up Arti's whole campaign pretty well, that ultimately the struggles Arti faces, they're so small in comparison.

Looks to the Moon - DM- VISTA

I'm sorry Moonie, but you're region gives me headaches even if I do think the way the rain cycles work in this region is sooooo cool and should be implimented if there's ever more iterators added to explore. This room is super pretty, very true, the lighting does wonders but... you can see the tragic begin to unfold, she's already breaking apart. This room says one simple thing; this place is doomed, no matter what you do.

Undergrowth - UG-C02

I only snipped the top of this room because this is getting.... very very long aha... I don't know why this room is my favourite. Is it the lighting? The echo? The way it's so fun to use Saint's big licky to get here? The way everything has changed yet stayed the same? I dunno! Undergrowth is a little irritating for me but the darker rooms with the cooler colours really hit some kind of itch and I wish there was more of these in this region, alas!

Silent Construct - CL-AI

Silent Construct: LISTEN. I had to okay?! This room summarises the whole game up into one tiny missable interaction. You don't HAVE to go see Pebbles as Saint unlike having to pass through Moon's room to get to the echo in shoreline. Pebbles is a footnote, he's barely even there, he's missable. This great big story that revolves around him? It's done, it's over. You said goodbye to these characters as Rivulet but if you're determined enough, if you really really want to, you can go spend your time with someone who doesn't even remember what you are, you can offer that scant bit of comfort. HE CALLS YOU FRIEND I AM NOT OKAY!!!!

Bitter Aerie - MS- bitteraerie5

This one is really cool! I wish we could have explored this place as Spearmaster but it offers a little glimpse into what else is on top of an iterator beyond just their city! Because considering the position of this place that's kinda just what I assume! I wonder what it looked like before Moon collapsed, maybe we'll find out one day!

Rubicon - HR- M04

Rubicon is an echo of a thousand memories, an echo of your hours of playing the game, of the locations you have learned to love, of the world that no longer is. It is a love letter, a final triumph, a final goodbye to that dying world you learned to you. This room feels like someone took treetop and both Pebbles and Moon and meshed them together. It is a tangle of everything you've done as every single slugcat up until this point, it is you going towards the final words spoken to you by the iterators should you choose to ascend them as Saint. It is... the end of a very long story, a very very long story. It's peaceful, it's chaotic, it is everything and nothing. Isn't that beautiful?

Zhongli the F2P

The most relatable out of the bunch because this man is still broke and can only rely on the primogems he can farm. And he had a LOT. The one thing he doesn’t have a lot on, however, is his luck.

So how did he manage to pull you?: Well after exhausting all his primogem on your banner with nothing but weapons and other characters, he has lost his resolve. But by some weird luck, there was a character bug that was fixed and in his email was the almighty consolation primogem. Enough for ONE pull. And by the Gods he FINALLY got you.

He’d nonchalantly post his screenshot of pulling you using a single acquaint fate in his friend group without any words and everyone else just loses their shit. “You got them in one pull?!” “Yeah” A riot.

This was partnered with the fact that not only is Zhongli an F2P player, but also barely has any five star characters.

He looks calm and apathetic over the news, but behind the screen he’s exhausted and relieved, silently livid.

He has no primogems left to squeeze for a constellation so you’re instead pampered with the best weapon suitable for you (because that’s all he keeps getting).

Zhongles spends most of his time farming for materials to quickly level you up, unlocking all your stories and voiceline, but he fucked up on your build (his artifacts are messy).

He follows communities, forums and videos regarding your character to know all the things he needs to perfect your build. You can barely make a dent against normal mobs, so he knew he was doing something VERY wrong.

Is the type of person to keep refreshing the page for new content, very updated.

Ask him a question about your character and he’s gonna bring you the word vomit that is his research. He’s not gonna stop- probably accidentally developed a copypasta for you.

Also follows your VA in both Tiktok and Twitter to indulge in every bit of content. He also has that screenshot of his pull saved and locked.

On his birthday, a friend of his gifted him a chibi plushie of you and he has treasured it ever since, treating and handling it like its a figurine.

“It is merely pure luck and grace from the gacha gods that I got this character, and I will make sure that they know I am very grateful for this fortune.”

Childe The Whaler

This lucky wealthy bastard with no remorse for his money whales for EVERY character. He’s making a collection, which is to get all the characters, especially the five stars. So when your banner finally popped up, he’s gonna square up and trigger a whole ass meteor shower.

How he pulled you: Money. His luck with this games are actually not the best so he always compensates with money, he got you halfway through the first failed pity, almost giving him a heart attack that he might actually break the bank just to get you.

And then he pulls more to raise your constellation lol.

The first thing he does is look over your character info and read through it all; constellation infos, your base stats, artifact compatibility.

At the end when he’s maximized everything, he would then focus on playing around with your character *coughs climbing noises coughs*

He thought you’d just be another part of his collection but playing with your character was very enjoyable and in-line with his playstyle- oops 100 screenshots with the Kamera-

Any and all merchandise that he fancies would be his, and he’s definitely flexing it to the other sweetie nerds who call themselves simps. He’s fighting for the simping title, and he’s currently neck and neck with this fanartist in Pixiv.

Speaking of that fanartist, he definitely commissioned an expensive and detailed portrait of you, full rights and everything. No one else was allowed to use it but him.

Was also the first one with the audacity to call out your VA to create an account on Tiktok to create more content with your voice. He was successful.

His obssession also comes in the form of self-indulgent contents, and had been keeping track of the ship wars happening. During conventions, he cosplays as the character shipped with you the most (or the character he thinks should end up with you).

Silently scrutinizing those who cosplay you, only ever taking pictures with/of the best looking one, sorry haha

Definitely flaunts that you are his waifu/husbando and will fight for best girl/best boy during debates or polls. Has mobilized the community to vote for you once. He’s very persuasive.

Ganyu the Employed

Ganyu, our dearest overworker, is one of the players in the older stage who actually has a job but still plays Genshin for their past times. The gorgeous sceneries and the music is her main focus in playing the game, not much of a try-hard but still decent in the combat mechanics.

How she pulled you: You came home within 50 pulls! And you appeared again after another 10 pull! Ganyu was so SHOOKT and so distressed because oh goodness, what does she do? She doesn’t know anything much about you!

Will rewatch your three trailers to try and understand your skills better, ended up saving the soundtracks from them because that was such a nice trailer music! Tnbee gains a new follower!

Ganyu will take a while before she can properly play or build you up because she’s so busy with work, she only ever plays when she feels fully done with her work.

During her break she plays with your character while multi-tasking on eating, earphones plugged in and sight on the phone as she farms materials and artifacts for you.

The moment she gets more help from her player friends tho, holy shit, you just ended up being so OP. She had so many good artifacts and weapons for you because she didn’t know what they were for before.

She loves how you’re so easy to use and can easily solo the enemies and even the boss fights. A huge breather, because now Ganyu can cheese the battles that takes a while, to give her more time to focus on the storyline and lores.

Since Ganyu plays for the story and aesthetic, she’ll find you almost always in her team. Still very proud of her pull, she makes the best screenshots of your fights or in the best angle through exploration.

Treasures you so much she starts talking to her phone- “Ah, no, please don’t fall.” “There’s violetgrass up there, let’s try and get it”

Blushes everytime you produce a sound when climbing, doesn’t change you anyways tho

Hums to your trailer music while working, and if permitted, would have the song on repeat while she buries herself in work. She finds it really refreshing and the time she spends in work miraculously flies by fast when she gets lost in the sound.

At one point, when she was given a day-off or if the convention was on her free time, she attends to look for cosplayers of you and take a picture. No one rejects her because she’s so adorable and cute when asking shyly.

Had brought a decent amount of merchandise, preferably the functional/practical ones like a phone cover, mug or keychain. Also has an earphones clamp with your little chibi self as the holder.

When asked, she would shyly announce that she likes your character the most.

“Their character theme and music really soothes me during work, it feels nice to have them, and I have not once regretted ever pulling for them. They are the best.”
