@starrynight2306 Oh yeah I agree with that, I just mean that I see a lot of people assume that he must be without much support to back it up and it bothers me, especially some of the talk of his sexuality that I know is meant in good fun but makes me uncomfortable.

Also because I'm more inclined to believe in Paul withholding information and having distorted memories over outright lying my current theory stands as him sort of having two Johns in his mind: one who's "sweet innocent boy who maybe had feelings for me but never acted on it so who can say" and one who maybe did act on it in certain uninhibited moments but the way it happened Paul doesn't want to think about and maybe John was even more shook up over it than him and so Paul felt fine erasing it for his sake
