You are much too kind, and I love dark!chaotic things, and especially dark!chaotic Paul...!

This is a delicious ask, and I had to give it some thought. Because there are stories where Paul is chaotic but not very dark, or dark stories that aren't (if you want to be pedantic about it, which we don't, right) strictly speaking chaotic...and in the end, I came up with this list. Hopefully you're enjoying these; some contain more chaos, others more darkness/weirdness—fingers crossed there's the right combination of both in them to spark joy.

McLennon Fic: Follow the Sun

I just posted the 11th and final chapter of my McLennon fic!

“I love you. I’m in love with you.” Paul has to close his eyes for a second. John’s gaze on him is too intense, too wanting, it makes him feel like he’s on fire. He tells himself that he must have imagined what he just heard. “What?” “I’ve been in love with you for ten years. Since we were kids. Practically since the day I met you.” Paul wonders why the hell John is telling him this. What could it possibly achieve?

Or, John tells Paul that he loves him, and Paul's not ready to hear it. This causes a lot of problems for them both.

Chapter 13: Two Days to Amerikay

In Chapter 13 of "Here, There and Everywhere" we are inside John's head a little bit, and he is scared. He's worried about the trouble in America and wondering why every leg of their summer tour has been complicated and has seemed even a little threatening. He knows Ritchie and George are not happy about his "bigger than Jesus" comments, even though they know it's not what he ever meant. Only Paul has his back -- John believes that. Only Paul, who is so dependably stubborn -- is keeping him from falling to pieces and begging forgiveness. But is Paul right? John is scared. His gut is telling him there is danger ahead. Maybe, for once, just this once, Paul's stubbornness is the problem.... You can read it here, at A03!

3 Tips for Fanfic / AO3 Readers!

I love, love, love reading fanfic (McLennon, helllooooo).

Here are 3 ways to make your fanfic reading easier / more enjoyable since it's off the traditional publishing path:

If you love listening to Audiobooks, download NaturalReaders, upload a PDF of a fic & listen like it's on Audible. If you think you'll listen a lot, I highly recommend getting the Plus Subscription ($19/month). This is not an ad, btw, I don't get a kickback for this. But the Plus Subscription AI voices are so insanely realistic & expressive that you'll feel like you're listening to a human narrator. My personal favorite is Andrew (U.S.). If you don't want to pay, their free voices are fine - it just doesn't pass for human. (Bonus: I use this subscription for work & write it off on my taxes. Then I use it to read long/boring work docs. But duh, fanfic is the real reason I pay for it!) NaturalReaders is my favorite way to consume long fics while I'm cleaning/cooking/driving, including and especially my current fav, On Our Way Back Home. One tip, though: If you wanna listen to a particularly long fic, like hundreds of pages long, it's easier if you split it up into a couple of files before you upload it. It will load much faster and it's easier to manage since it won't have chapter markings like on Audible.

Download AO3 files on Kindle. You probably already know this - but I didn't realize, until recently, how incredibly easy this is!! Here's how: - Download the Kindle App on your phone / iPad. - Open AO3 and download any fics to read as an EPUB file. - If you've downloaded these files on your computer, airdrop to your iPhone or iPad. If you've downloaded on your phone you won't have to do this step. - Go to your downloads or whatever folder it’s saved to. - Click the file with a long hold then select to "Share to Kindle." - Make any changes you want to the title / author's name and then click upload! It'll be available on your phone/ipad in a few minutes. Just like a regular Kindle book you can highlight, annotate, change font size / color, etc. 3. Keep your fics organized on Kindle with "Collections." "Collections" are essentially themed folders on your Kindle. I use them to sort fics into categories: unread, currently reading, and favorite fics that I'm excited to re-read! I also sort based on fandom / length. So "Short McLennon Unread" or "Favorite McLennon to Reread." You could use the folders however you want, of course. One advantage of this is that you can batch upload dozens or hundreds of fics on your phone / iPad and then find which one you want more easily. I love, love, love doing this before an international trip so my Kindle is always fully loaded with hours of McLennon entertainment. Sorry, not sorry to anyone reading over my shoulder on a flight. Hi! :) So idk if there's anyone who can help me but I'm looking for a specific fic that I read a while back and only can remember a few details of. It's mclennon and I think set around 67 maybe, it's John's POV and he's high on LSD and they're at like a house party of sorts I think, in part of the fic at least. I specifically remember this one scene where a bunch of people are watching like a movie together or something and John and Paul sit next to each other on the sofa and John runs his finger up Paul's arm.

Okay I feel like I sound crazy but does anyone have any idea what fic this is? I've been looking for it for days lmao I don't even know why I want to find it again so badly I just remember it was good and I want to reread it

Chapter 11: Accidents & Mistakes (Pt I)

In CHAPTER 11 of "Here, There and Everywhere": Those of you who have been waiting for a bit of John and Paul tenderness and bed-chat, your pleas have been heard! We are literally TWO WEEKS AWAY from the 1966 US Tour, now. Paul is making his promised trip to France, but before that he and John have a serious (as in breakthrough-adjacent) talk, that will has a huge immediate impact on John, but also on Paul's own sense of himself, and who he is within the dynamics of their relationship. All of that will be be more thoroughly explored in the next chapter. But for now, John's insecurities are seemingly lessening, and Paul is feeling like he's adjusted his trajectory -- like he is finally flying on the right course.

It's nice to see John having a bit of peace, and Paul feeling pleased with himself, for once.

I really hope you like this one...read it at A03!

This was meant to be part of a whole chapter, one that I am still writing and has gotten way too long. So, I've broken it up into two parts. So, expect Part II to show up pretty quickly! In this way I might actually publish two chapters inside of a few days! Yay!
