So uhm, I can explain.

I don’t play BG3 but my friends do and I had a glimpse of the gameplay and understand the basic plotpoints, just through sheer osmosis. One of my pals has some ironic-but-not-so-ironic pining for Gortash, his insufferableness, stoopid swagger and dumb confidence. Can also be summarized by this

And tbf can’t blame him cuz from what I gather, while Gortash is a bad person his character writing is just very well done which makes him a compelling villain.

So, fulfilling my duty as a friend and wowza!memer (yes, you can cringe after reading this, it is allowed) I have engaged in the shenanigans. It got slightly out of hand and I am planning to do yet another thing, possibly in watercolour about Gortash. Lmao.

He'd been insulted as worse. In fact, it was not like Paul saw it as a instult per se. It wasn't a friendly laugh, but a sharp, derisive sound that echoed cruelly in the confined space. He took a slow, deliberate step toward her, his eyes raking over her with a disturbing amusement, as if she were a particularly fascinating specimen under his observation. The predatory glint in his gaze itching to make her breath hitch- though, she was not like that. He liked that about her.

Paul's lips quipped into a half-sided grin while the threat hung loosely in the air. Were he not so captivated by her words, he'd pushed her down the cliff himself but there was something about him that drew him in, it was the same untamed energy that he'd seen in Julia on campus for the first time. Not that she was the type of girl he'd push off a cliff. "Now," says Paul with a scoff, his eyes narrowing. "I'm not that familiar with the law but I'm certain that's aggravated assault, and attempted murder, if I survive that is. And if I survive, that'd be murder and battery and that makes life sentence without parole, right?"
