It only takes a few weeks for Minato to fall for Ryoji, and he falls he falls HARD. Like stereotypical highschool crush stuff that everyone knows minato likes ryoji like it's common knowledge (most people even think they're actually dating) - well, everyone except Minato and Ryoji know. Whenever Yukari says something about it minato will act aloof not knowing what she's talking about, as if his face doesn't light up oh so slightly whenever Ryoji enters a room or looks his way, as if he's not spending most of his days around them doing whatever and listens so intently and every word that comes out of their mouth.

It takes him a while to even fully process these feelings - he'll catch himself drawing little doodles of his friend on his page instead of taking notes like he should be, he fixated on little details on Ryojis face that he's never seen before stopping himself and pulling away (he was never good at eye contact but it came easy with them, he couldn't look away from those eyes). Then he starts dreaming about him during class and he's not sure how to react to it, he can't really cause then Ryoji comes up to him and drags him somewhere else and distracts him like they always do and he puts it on the back burner for later.

But it was one night after Ryoji left the dorm, about an hour stray of midnight, he's looking for the window watching them walk out of sight when Junpei makes some remark about the two like he always does, does it all click for him - oh shit, I like them. But he's not that worried about it, at least not yet, he feels - happy? Happier than he's felt in weeks, months - maybe years. How could a guy he only met a few weeks ago do that to him? He looks at the moon, noting that it's a full moon tonight but instead of the usual dread of uncertainty he was expecting, he felt something akin to hope..

Of course things can't be that simple for Minato, nothing really is... of course the first guy he ever falls for turns out to a monster of death, one monster who just so happens to be the whole reason Itsukui made them fight in the first place.

Aigis' warnings ring true and now here they were, Ryoji begging minato to kill him, to forget about everything that's happened, to forget everything he fought for, to forget them, to live the last few months they have in peace before it all comes to an abrupt end.

He thought about it, dreamt about it even, of his hands and sword covered in blood, impaled through their chest...

He hated those dreams. Minato always woke up afterwards struggling to breathe, he'd jump out of bed and rush to the sink in the corner to just wash his hands even if he knew it was just a dream and there was really no blood shed, he still felt dirty. he couldn't look at himself in the mirror or he'd just see their face staring back instead, blank eyes with that stupid fucking smile...

He feels like he should blame Ryoji for ruining his life, for clinging onto him and poisoning anything good he ever had. Ge thinks he should also be blaming aigis as well, they were the reason why death existed in him in the first place.. but he can't bring himself to do that because he knows that they didn't have any choice, Aigis was just following their program and Ryoji was well... not the Ryoji he knew, not yet at least, they were just concepts who couldn't think for themselves.. far different from the aigis and ryoji he'd come to know now...

In the end he couldn't do it, he knew deep down he couldn't but he was still attempted to. He had the switchblade up to their throat but they didn't even react. He looked into those eyes he adored so much and didn't see a thing behind them. Ryoji kept wearing that smile but the warmness it once had was gone and it just felt hollow. But that wasn't the worst part, that was when they told him that he felt happy, truly happy, and he just couldn't accept that. Minato was shaking, he was terrified and Ryoji knew it, of course they did and he didnt want to hear anything else Ryoji was saying, he couldn't take it. Even staring down the beast that had haunted his nightmares for a decade couldn't make him budge. Minato knows he said something to them that was enough to get them to give up on convincing him but it wasn't enough for him.

He wants to blank out so badly but he can't. He hasn't been able to blank out at all this past month. No matter what he did he just couldn't escape reality anymore, not when the question of it was always in the back of everyones minds, himself included.

During the whole conversation downstairs he was aware of everything that was happening, how Ryoji talked about climbing up Tartarus and defeating Nyx like it was an impossible task and like they were stupid for trying, how Junpei tapped his foot like a nervous tick, how Yukari took glances at him whenever she thought he wouldn't notice, how he could hear the whirring of cogs inside Aigis (he swears that it's not always that loud), how he was fucking shivering and not because of the temperature in the dorm or how his shoes needed to be polished or how he was trying with all his might not to fall apart right now.

He could hear footsteps, Ryojis footsteps, as they advanced toward the front door and he finally looked up not wanting forget what they looked like. Ryoji stopped before he walked out, turning their head and locking eyes with him and suddenly it was like they were the only ones in the room and he feels like he's gonna choke. He wants to say something, anything, but the words are all clogged up in his throat. Ryoji, for their part, still has the same smile on their face as they deliver the worst lines Minato has heard all night.

They just said farewell. And just like that Ryoji was gone, having said everything they had wanted. But Minato hadn't.

He wants to tell them how much they really mean to him, how much he didn't want to lose them forever, how they were the first person in ages who made him feel whole, how they filled a hole in his heart that not even SEES, who he saw as his family, could fill and-

It hit him all at once how much he loves Ryoji, how he's only properly knew this guy for a few weeks but was so sure that he wanted to be with them for the rest of his days. Was it werid that he was in love with Death itself? Was he crazy for loving someone that existed inside him for so long? He didn't care, he didn't care if they were a monster, he didn't care if they were trying to put on a front to get him to hate them because it didn't work and it didn't matter anymore.

The horrible truth was that he was in love with Ryoji Mochizuki and there was nothing he could do about it.

He was in love with Ryoji and Ryoji couldn't feel anything back for him, even if they wanted to.

They never could feel anything.

And any emotional restrain Minato had left tonight was gone the moment the world fell under that dark green hue, a sick reminder that the best thing that had ever happened was gone and was never coming back.

Yeah so I was debating whether or not Minato was gonna confess and just get 😐 as an answer or just never confess and go to his grave with that regret. Both are pretty depressing but I think i settled with the best of both worlds.

Weirdos will literally ship bruce with an actual terrorist and try to make selina more masculine before accepting the fact that she is complex and fragile and not ment to be a part of the strong black woman trop.

I know you've said alot about this and i don't want to repeat too much of what you've said before but its utterly annoying. She isn't ment to be this sturn woman who never shares her emotions shes ment to be vulnerable and complex (she literally shares her family life with a guy she just met) so it really annoys me when people try to make her more "masculine" to appeal to that trope about black women and how they cant be feminine and delicate.

Shes ment to be the opposite of the trope but people seek past that just to have a reason to fantasie about her without seeing bruce as the dominant and more masculine one in the relationship I have even seen things that go ahed and outright switch her gender to a man completely.

Bruce in the movie is absolutely dominant and protective over her going ahead to outright not allow her to do anything without him knowing when he found out about falcone. But people cast that aside to try and make his protectivness over her as somewhat pathetic like its a complete joke when its what helps build their relationship because he is always protecting her and stopping her when shes vulnerable and in a state of mind where she isn't thinking straight.

Also the hints of jealously and possessiveness he exhibits in the movie are completely prominent. Like when he insinuates that she had to do stuff in order to get close to the mob or when he thinks that he sees her durring the funeral and rushes quickly towards her in an almost jealous manner.

I really love their relationship in this movie and want more because shes so complex and so is he and their relationship works so well in seeing how they choose to handle their trama and their lust for eachother. Selina being the one making the first move until the very end causing her to be more open with her relationship and how she feels about things. So it pains me so much when people say they had absolutely no chemistry. Like did we watch the same movie? Or when people cast her aside for a literal fucking reddit incel terrorist because his a white man and fandom just fucking loves that. Then go ahead to act like they aren't being racist and outright fucking annoying when they say all that mean shit about selina and how she was only good until she kissed Bruce like that wasn't a pivotal part of the story and Bruce's ability to open up to people.

Am sorry if am rumbling but let me cut this short. I really hope that they make their relationship a man part of the movies because it helps with growth for both of them and makes them better characters and people especially Bruce who doesn't understand his privilege and him being better off than most of the people in Gotham. I want them to be exploded more better especially Bruce and Selina cause Selina clearly hates his guts but and Bruce knows that. I am so tired of riddlebat fans

Bruce is incredibly dominant and protective when it comes to her, you hit the nail right on the head. Selina is attracted to him precisely because he's displaying that kind of behavior towards her. Look, Selina is no stranger to powerful men trying to offer her ""protection"". It's always conditional - it's not real caretaking, and only stems from a desire to fuck her, to own her.

Batman is very obviously attracted to her, but he's also very obviously fighting to not give into that attraction. Which means there are no expectations on his side when it comes to their relationship. He isn't helping her because he thinks she's going to spread her legs for him, he's helping her and protecting her because he sees value in her life and personhood and cares about her wellbeing.

No one has ever treated Selina like that before. She's never mattered to anyone in that way. She's willing to make herself vulnerable to him emotionally even when he's being withdrawn and cold to her because she knows that he cares. He may not be able to express it verbally but he doesn't need to. Selina understands him.

And yeah, the way the R/iddlebat shippers constantly put her down as a character is deeply embarrassing and pathetic. They act like she's in the way of their ship being canon, which is beyond delusional. Even if Selina didn't exist their ship would never happen because the entire premise of that relationship is that it's based in parasocial one-sided obsession, lmao. Batman and Riddler's objectives will never align. Bruce is disgusted by him to the point of telling him he's a freak loser that's going to die alone, a nobody, unloved and unwanted 💞 That's their ship, no matter how much uwuification they try to pull with the characters.

Facts are that Matt Reeves understands the BatCat dynamic. Bruce and Selina's love story is the beating heart of the narrative. He has to open his heart to her first before he can genuinely start to change and open his heart to the rest of the city. To stop seeing things as black and white and start caring about the victims instead of just punishing criminals.

Bruce has a lot of blind spots - Selina provides the clarity he needs along the lines of race, class, and sex. And it's not like this is a one-sided relationship where she exists to further his growth, they are growing together in tandem. Selina is a cynic who carries a lot of self-loathing. Bruce's faith in her, his idealism, his dedication to Gotham all inspire her on her journey to becoming Catwoman.

The fandom can be frustrating, it's true. But at the end of the day we gotta have faith in Matt Reeves. Selina isn't going anywhere ♥️

{Prologue}

Hello!

You may be thinking, a letter in an Oak Tree? How peculiar! Yes, peculiar indeed as I myself am not sure why I decided to write this. Maybe out of pure boredom, I’ve been sitting here for ages now. It’s my favorite spot in all of Arendelle. Or, perhaps it was written as a distraction…

You see, I lost my parents a few days ago. It’s been hard for my sister and me, though my sister won’t say or show it. When I have tried to talk to her, I’m pushed away for other “important matters” she calls them. 

Maybe I am writing this more to be heard, to know maybe my feelings will be read by someone out there. 

Oh goodness, that took a sad turn. I don’t think that’s what you were expecting when you found this letter! This is supposed to be a happy place, or so I deem it to be. Under this tree, no sad thoughts are allowed I say. Only happy ones!

So, let’s make this a little fun then: What do you do? Do you live in Arendelle or are you visiting? How is your day going?

Anna bites her lip as she re-reads the letter again, a ramble of sorts that just came out onto the paper. She folds it, standing from her spot beneath the tree and turns to face it’s trunk.

She’d come to this spot for years, had found it by chance when she was younger. Bored and curious, as she was a lot growing up within the castle, she’d taken a chance and scaled the castle wall to explore the forest that grew just beyond.

It had taken little time, a trip or two on a few exposed tree roots, and she’d found it. 

A large oak tree, just up on a hill. It was an old one, large enough that Anna had to lean her head all the way back to just peak the top. Besides the peace that was here, nothing but the sounds of the birds chirping and the occasional breeze brushing through the forest, the view is what made Anna visit more often than none. 

From the base, she could see the castle and some of the village below. If she went a few branches higher, though not too high as she learned the hard way resulting in a broken wrist, she could see all of Arendelle from the port to the village’s end. For hours she’d sit and watch the villagers below, going about their daily lives and she’d envied them. She dreamed of being among them, exploring the town and meeting everyone within. To escape the castle with its empty rooms and enclosing walls. 

There were a few times she’d even dreamed of such a life, only to awaken with a lump in her throat from the realization it wasn’t real.

The hole had been there for as long as she could remember. It assisted in her attempts to climb the grand tree, to protect her books as rain would start to fall, and had hidden the flower crowns she’d created a few times before. Now, as she places the letter within, it holds something else with just as much importance. 

With all that was happening, she wasn’t sure if she would be able to come back to her spot for a while. Not that she wouldn’t try, of course, after the meeting tomorrow she was going to need another break.

With Elsa being thrown into preparing to take the crown in three years time, her presence was needed now in the counsel meetings. She never spoke, only there to be made aware of the situation at hand. 

It was boring to say the least, more than once she had to fight back her yawn as the counsel had gone on and on over topics Anna knew nothing about. So Anna smiled to herself, knowing as soon as tomorrow's meeting was done, she was for sure returning to her spot to escape it all. 

To have a moment to feel free, even if it would be for only a few hours. 

As she made her way back down the hill, taking her time to enjoy the peaceful bliss of the forest for a few moments more, she couldn’t see the figure coming from the other side of the hill.

One that would also sit under the branches of the tree, taking a momentary break in their stressful day. Munching on an apple, enjoying the view till they paused when they heard a rustle of paper as the breeze came through. 

They’d spy the note, curiously eyeing it as they opened and read it. They’d smile, finishing the apple as they read the cursive writing scrawled so delicately along the page. 

There would be a moment of hesitation, themself unsure if they should respond or not. 

But as Anna would find, much to her surprise, they had.

I hope things are better now, between you and your sister and I’m very sorry for your loss. I lost my parents too, long ago when I was little. Which I guess is lucky? I never had to deal with the pain of losing them. I can barely remember them.  But I know it must hurt, and I’m sorry.

To answer your questions: my day is going well for now. Normal day for me, just taking a moment to enjoy the view and an apple. I do live in Arendelle. I work here, have been for a while now. I work with ice. Cutting it and selling it too. Not the most exciting job you were wanting maybe, but that’s it. 

Funny enough, I’m not sure why I’m replying to your note. I guess it’s because it had actually brought a surprise smile to my face and I couldn’t let your letter go without a response. Owed you that much for crashing your favorite spot. It is a nice place, maybe I’ll come here more often.

Oh hello there! Oh my goodness, to say I’m surprised to find a response would be a lie. I’m so happy to find someone has written back!

Ice?! Wow, must be an interesting job. You must travel up to the mountains a lot for that. I’m jealous, I have wished to travel to the mountains! I’ve only heard stories and seen some paintings, but from what I know it is beautiful. 

I’m sorry about your parents...losing them is never a lucky thing. I hope you’re managing well for yourself without them. Thank you for your kindness about mine, it means alot.

I guess you could say that. I mostly harvest by myself but most of the time I help other harvesters too. Need as much work as I can get. 

The mountains are beautiful! Hopefully one day you can see them yourself. I’d offer to take you Hope someone can take you up there someday, I’m sure you’d love it. It’s something I think everyone should see at least once in their life.

I am 18. I don’t really have a pet. Just a reindeer who helps with halling the ice and pulling my sled. I’d say those ducklings count if my reindeer does. Other than the mountains and Arendelle, I have not been much else. So, I guess my favorite is my cabin up on the mountain side.

Don’t worry, I WILL be posting this under a read-more so PLEASE turn away and ignore this now (especially with some “spoiler” tags on if you use ‘em) if you don’t want to be spoiled for the finale until it officially airs. I just can’t contain my thoughts no more after ponderin’ them and who knows when it’ll officially air in English (’cause slow schedules can be a pain to deal with lol) sooooo... yeah you’ve been warned xp 

...Ooooh boi, well admittedly I kinda skimmed through what the whole plot was about behind the last three episodes (I was moreso focused on all the stuff happening for “The Last Problem” so lol), but I’ll try to keep it brief for the most part:

-So... that whole thing about Grogar being the last “big bad” was just a total lie... since apparently it was just Discord masking himself as the guy just to give Twilight one last battle to face? ...Ehhh, I get that he apparently had “good intentions” but this just seems to be pushing it too far even for Discord’s standards tbh... like these are his friends now (including Fluttershy, his best friend) so why would he allow this much risk to be thrown at them for the sake of just teaching them a valuable lesson about overcoming obstacles? ._. Then again, this IS Discord we’re talking about so him pulling some shady stuff like this is to be expected, I guess? Idk...

-As another twist to the trio of bad guys... NONE of them get redeemed at the end (not even Cozy Glow... who again, is nothing more than a whiny child compared to Chrysalis and Tirek :P), as they all pretty much get blasted with the same stone spell that Discord was under for what I can presume to be forever. I mean... had Sombra been placed in Cozy Glow’s position then I guess I’d be a bit more satisfied with this kind of ending for them instead of feeling questionable about it (’cause again, Cozy’s young age ^^;)... but at the same time, for what it is it’s at least a refreshing change of pace from just having them all instantly forgiven and befriended by all the main heroes. Now that would’ve been cringey... >_<

-We got a reaaally big group of cameos from many past ponies/other creatures from the show to aid in the final battle, including Sunset and a few of the MLP movie characters like Tempest, Capper and Skystar! o.o A shame that Captain Celaeno couldn’t have been added along with them but still, pretty cool to see that particular trio regardless along with my girl Sunset ❤️ about time the main show acknowledged her importance to Twilight -.-

-Moving onto the big finale itself, “The Last Problem”, we cut ahead to I presume to be a couple decades or so since the last episode... where Twilight and her friends are all grown up and leading their own lives as Twilight’s pupil (Luster Dawn, was it?) comes to prepare herself for her own first friendship lesson. Surprisingly, unlike past finales it’s not so much a really heavy or action-packed episode but more of a “relaxing breather” kinda filler... yet still pushes the feels the more we get to see the aged-up cast and realize how this truly is the end for our heroes :(

-We’re also given a nice flashback to Twilight’s coronation as Equestria’s new leader, though it didn’t go according to plan it still provided some heartwarming feels to teach that friendships will always remain solid even if some end up moving far away. Awww ;w;.

-As for the “Grown up” designs themselves... I’m kinda torn, tbh lol

On one hand, I do like Rainbow’s, Fluttershy’s, and AJ’s older looks just fine. AJ’s especially gives me the feels looking at it ‘cause of the shawl... really hits in that poor Granny Smith is no longer around by this time :( at least she’ll always keep her memory strong in her heart ❤️

As for Twilight, Rarity, Spike and Pinkie... ehhhh ^^;. Rarity’s sparkly shawl is rather pretty though that big grey steak in her hair kinda clashes too much with the regular purple imo, Pinkie’s beehive look could’ve been fine if they just took out all that random junk in her hair, and while part of me kinda likes the “ethereal princess-y” vibes of Twilight (despite the rather dark implications that she’s gonna outlive her friends now ;-;)... the fact that she still sounds like her old dorky self when speaking kinda kills the effect for me... plus idk if only a couple decades in the future would be enough to make her this tall as an alicorn, I mean even Luna (who’s older than her) is alot shorter so it’s just a little off-putting to me to see her so “Celestia”-sized ^^;. And as for Spike... yeah, I don’t even know what’s going on there, so... let’s just move on, please lol.

So then we get to look over how everyone else in Ponyville’s doing, with so many new species living there now, some old kiddos grew up like the CMC and the Cake twins, Starlight and her friends (plus the Student 6) continuing to run the friendship school together, and apparently some canon couples started to thrive during this time too including Lyra and Bon Bon, Big Mac and Sugar Belle, and... Pinkie and Cheese? o.o 

...Um, wow lol Wasn’t really expecting that considering that most of Cheese and Pinkie’s previous screentime together (which was only in like, two episodes?) wasn’t really that romantic from what I can recall, but guess the writers decided to just throw it in anyway ‘cause it’s a popular ship? lol I mean, not like it’s a bad one or anything but it still feels a bit randomly-placed in a narrative sense imo ^^;

Speaking of their daughter (Lil Cheese, I think?), while I do think she’s cute, part of me is kinda disappointed that they didn’t really get more creative with her design like they’ve done for Flurry Heart and the Cake twins :c. Color-wise she looks okay but... why just make her a recolor of her mom’s filly design? .-. Even putting her hair in some pigtails or something would’ve worked better imo.

-Some more design nitpicks I had were certain weirdly placed hairstyles like Pumpkin Cake’s and Diamond Tiara’s, as well as why Gummy the alligator just looks like he resized into a giant than legitimately grew into an adult lol. Also this might also be nitpicky but why exactly is everyone (minus Twilight) so old-looking with grayed hair and/or eye bags (ex. Rarity and Sugar Belle), when a couple of them have school-aged children at this point? .-. Hell, even most of the Mane 6′s parents didn’t look this old (including Twilight’s, and they’ve got a granddaughter lol), so I’m kinda confused by this type of design choice tbh.

-I don’t really remember if they explicitly stated what happened to the old princesses during this time since they didn’t show up again, nor what the final fates of Shining Armor and Cadence were (save for a brief shot of Flurry Heart having her own stain-glass window in the throne room). Idk, just would’ve been nice to have gotten more explicit about that ‘cause I don’t wanna think of these poor royals being gone now with just Twilight being the leader now ;-; 

-I guess there was also a couple “implied” ships thrown in too like Fluttershy and Discord (though that one might be more “loose” to interpret, depending on how much you like the ship) and apparently AJ and Rainbow Dash seem to be having something “deeper” going on considering they specifically walked in together when all the other Mane 6 walked in individually into the throne room. Hmmm...?

-And lastly after a bit more filler and than a montage song of the Mane 6 harmonizing together one last time, we get to close off the entire episode, season, and series with one final shot of the heroes standing on a sunset-y hillside together, saying goodbye to Twilight’s student who goes off on her own friendship adventures... and then the screen fades to a book closing as a call back to the very first episode of the series over 9 years ago... where the exact same book opened up to start off our beloved show to begin with T-T

....aaaand yeah my feels exploded over again, sorry T-T. Despite the lil nitpicks I had here and there (and how I wish certain plot holes could’ve been handled better in hindsight), this was still a really sweet and thoughtful way to end MLP: FiM with one last batch of fluff like this... the end of a good 9-year run of the show which’ll surely leave a special place in every fan’s hearts, including mine ❤️

Though again, like I mentioned before I still won’t be considering any of this actually “canon” in the main universe I’m setting up, which is all basically an AU at this point since I haven’t really been keeping up with the show as frequently to care much for sticking with the main canon :p. For my fellow content creators, please don’t be afraid to keep working on your own next gens and such btw, even if some of it might be contradicted in this particular finale I’d say anyone is free to make their own interpretations however they want, canon or no canon~ ;p

Jin would call you at 3am asking you to pick him up from a bar. You knew that the boys sometimes went out to grab a drink but this time Jin was alone which was weird. He didn’t- or couldn’t say much more than just “(Y/N) please can you come pick me up? Im at the usual place...”. 

When you got there he sat outside on a bench napping, you had to pretty much carry him to the car. He crashed at your place cause you thought him getting drunk might be because of some fight he had with the others. When he woke up he explained.

“Did I puke?”

“God I hope not...” you say worried looking around.

“Sorry... The bar had a drink called unicorn poop and it tasted like cotton candy and I think we all had one too many so the boys left without noticing I went to the bathroom...”

Just as he finished that sentence the front door busts open and 6 men run inside looking scared shitless. When they spot Jin on the couch they all sigh in relief.

“Thank god...”

Namjoon

Namjoon can drink, everybody knows that. He is usually the one who acts the most sober and takes care of the others. But you’re not that bad of a drinker yourself. A few cocktails and a few shots is no biggie. So when you all went out one night Jin and Suga had to bring the lightweights home because they were all basically asleep 2.5  hours in. 

You and Namjoon were just beginning though. After another 1.5 hours of dancing and drinking your feet started to hurt and the music was getting too loud. You walk around to try to find Joon but he is nowhere to be seen. Suddenly somebody hugs you from behind. Getting ready to headbutt whatever creep is behind you, he says

“Can we go home now pleaaaase” 

You laugh at how dorky Joon is being. He’s only like this is he’s wasted. He becomes a 9 year old boy who has abandoment issues.

“Sure but you will need to let me go cause I can’t move when you are hugging me like this” you say as you laugh.

“Fine...” he says as he pouts.

The club is walking distans to their dorm so you decide to just walk with him and crash there. The 15 minute walk is filled with corny dad jokes, waves of compliments and occasional deep thoughts. You even have to save him from walking into a few lamp posts and poles.

Waking up at their dorms the day after you see a message on your phone. 

Namjoon 9:30

- we had to leave early for practice this morning but we left you some Doenjang soup. thanks for a fun night out and if you tell anyone about how drunk i was last night you are no longer allowed to borrow my clothes. ily :)

Yoongi

You hear someone knocking at your door at 12pm. The smart thing to do is grab a frying pan and hide in the closet, but this is not the first time something like this has happened. Yoongi has a tendency to drink when he is feeling down and with the holidays coming up, the possibility of him not being able to spend it with his family usually gets to him. The sloppy, barely audible knocks also point to it being a drunk Yoongi.

Opening the door he is looking at his feet, hair covering his face. 

“Come in...” 

“Im sorry you always have to deal with me when I’m like this...” he mumbles.

He couldn’t really talk about it with the others because they are most likely just as upset or stressed. It would just end in 7 grown men drinking their sadness away together.

You don’t say much. You grab a beer, a bottle of water and a few blankets from your couch and drag him with you up to the roof of your apartment buildning. Thankfully it’s not freezing cold out and your hoodie plus a few layers of blankets is just enough to warm you. You sit down on the ground, not too far in the distans you can see the skyscrapers of Seoul and above you a clear, star-filled sky. This is where you always go when you feel down. Nothing can make your problems seem small better than skyscrapers and stars. 

Yoongi reaches for the bottle of beer when you swat his hand away.

“That is for me.” “This” ... you give him the water bottle ... “is for you”.

Yoongi sighs but takes the waterbottle and opens it to drink some. 

The rest of the night you talk about everything and nothing, you make him promise to call you if he ever feels bad enough to repeat this and when the clock reaches 3am, Jin calls and convinces Yoongi to go back to the dorms. He hugs you goodbye and holds you a little longer than usual giving you a kiss on the forehead.

“Thank you (Y/N), I owe you” 

Hoseok

Partying with J-hope always ends badly. He has a lot of fun without alcohol, so imagine him drunk. Yea he has way too much fun. He will dance too hard and spill someone’s drink, which leads to a fight. Maybe hit on someone’s girlfriend, which leads to a fight. Once he thought some other guy was Jungkook and playfully slapped him on the head, when the random dude turned around he pointed at someone else, which lead to a fight.

Usually the others can calm situations like that down, but in your case when drinking with hoseok alone, the goal was to stop those situations before they even started. 

“Heyyyy that guy looks like Donald Trump” Hoseok slurrs.

“What? Who? Nobody here it over 30...” you look around confused.

“Him over there! With the orange hair!” he says amused.

“Hoseok Donald Trump has orange skin not orange hair boi get your disses right”

“HEY, HEY DONALD!!” he yells at the guy.

“HOSEOK WTF” you whisper-shout as you cover his mouth.

The guy and his entire entourage looks at us confused as Hosoek waves happily at them. 

“Why are you always trying to get beaten up????” 

Jimin

Jimin sometimes drink too much and it can be because he feels a lot of pressure and alcohol can help relieve that. You followed them to Japan, their first world tour destination, to see the show and they were able to book you a hotel room in the same hotel as them. 

After eating dinner with all of them in Joon and Yoongis room they all wanted to sleep earlier because of the concert the next day but Jimin and Jungkook said you could hang a little longer with them by the bar.

Jungkook left after one beer but Jimin stayed with you. When you finished your first drink Jimin was already on his third. You could notice that he was feeling the alcohol because he smiled a little bit more and spoke a little less clearly

“You have a long day tomorrow Jimin, I think you should go to bed” you say slightly worried about his hangover tomorrow.

“Don’t worry, I won’t be able to sleep anyways...” Jimin says with a sad smile.

“Hm?” you look at him for an explanation.

“My anxiety hits the roof right before a concert, I have so many people I need to make proud and I will never be good enough for them...” he drinks what’s remaining in his glass. “I never feel like I’m enough compared to the others, you know?” his eyes start tearing up.

Your heart sinks and you pull him into a hug. “Don’t be stupid, everybody loves you and all your flaws. They don’t expect you to be perfect, they expect you to be human.” You grab his shoulders and push him up from your embrace, staring at him. “Your gonna go to bed, do your best tomorrow, and even if you mess up or don’t think you did well enough, you will still be loved by millions. I promise.”

He smiles and nods, he grabs your hand from his shoulders and says

“Comon’, let’s go to bed”

Taehyung

Taehyungs drunk stages are -a little extra hyper-, to - yelling alot-, to -wearing his shoes on his hands and telling everybody his deepest darkest secrets-, then waking up and remembering nothing.

In this case during you night out, he had told you some hella weird stuff like him having an ice kink, him having a sex dream about you, and that he likes whipped cream more that anything in the world... 

This definitaly scarred you since you see Tae as a brother so you felt like giving him some payback. Since he crashed at your place you knew exactly how. Jungkook can sometimes be a bit of a lightweight. Now he can drink beer or wine just fine. But if its mixed drinks or shots, the boy can and will blackout.

“Jungkook it’s 10pm... there’s like 13 people in this club...”

“Comonnnn pleaase just take a shot with me....”

He has already had a beer and three shots and you don’t feel like carrying his unconscious body back to the dorms. You know you would get yelled at by the others since you promised them to take it easy with the maknae. But knowing drunk Kookie, he is not going to let up.

He nods happily and starts to do something on his phone. You make sure he is not paying attention and go to the other end on the bar. Probably not his first time getting asked that.

You see him pat Jungkook on the shoulder as he points to something, when he is distracted the bartender replaces the two shot glasses nearest him with the glasses with water. He tells Jungkook nevermind and retreats.

“Ok let’s do this!” You tell him coming back from the “restroom”.

“WOO!” he yells as you clink your glasses together and drink the water.

“Wow I must be drunkk cause that tasted like water!” he says happily and starts to drag you to the dance floor.

The Gazette at NYC PlayStation Theater

So, I have finally calmed down a bit I can finally speak instead of just producing a spew of squeals and key-smashes. This was my and @mistressmunchbrains (my sister’s) first ever Gazette concert, and damn it was worth it. This is just my personal account. I’m sorry it’s so long, that’s why I put it under the read.

With it being our first time,we opted to do the general admissions tickets instead of the VIP, I was not ready for that. lol I knew I would die or embarrass myself. We stayed in a hotel that was a ten minute walk from the theater so we didn’t stress about time. We met the wonderful @sorakeii before the show, liked we planned. But she was VIP so we had to go our separate ways in line. 😭

We waited six hours in line, there wasn’t that large of a gathering when we arrived at 1:30. But it wasn’t much of a line, more like a crowd that was caged. Once our side of the building had enough people, they started another group around the other side. I didn’t get to see how many were over there though. It was funny when we all sat down, random people walked by and wondered why all these people dressed in black were there. Their faces were so confused. 😆

The other fans in line were the nicest people I have ever met. It got cold as a breeze picked up, but being with everyone was worth it. It was so nice to meet people in real life who shared the same love of the band. It was so refreshing to talk to people who knew what the hell I was talking about. The group I was in, we gushed about the members and how cute they were. We squealed about Reita’s tweet and what songs they might play. It was amazing how far some people came to see them, I felt bad since I was only from PA.

The doors were opened at 7, and the line for merch was crazy long. The VIPs went in first, and by the time I reached the merch table it was 7:30. But the line seemed to move quickly...until I was about the third in line then it took forever until I could get my stuff. haha. Bought a t-shirt and keychain then ran into the concert. 

There was soo much room in the venue. It was a lot bigger than I was expecting. Towards the back there were seats, then in the middle it was at eye level with the stage, and below was a sort of pit. I walked down there and realized I was too short to be down there so I went to the middle. Plus it was really crowded down there. We stood by the stairs that were on Uruha’s side of the stage. A good bit of people were already there. I was determined to be on my man’s side. My sister’s a Ruki-bias so it was a great compromise. 

When they arrived on stage, I couldn’t see the others too well until the guys in front of us decided to go sit in the back, they were tired of standing. I moved up slightly and got a better view. We did let one girl in front of us since she was shorter than me, but there was no issues with seeing. We had an amazing view then. 😍 And let me tell you, when they walked out on stage they are just as beautiful as all their pictures. I was shooked!

I couldn’t remember the exact order of the setlist (too busy jamming), so I looked it up and I think this is the correct order of the songs. If not I’m sorry I have a terrible memory.

I stared at Uruha for most of the show. There were some moments where I thought, “I should look at another member.” There was even a small screen above our hands that was focused on Ruki alot so you could see the performance even if you were in the back. I still looked at Uruha though. lol  I ended up headbanging and dancing so much, my back and neck hurt the day after. Even walking back from the concert, my legs wobbled like a baby deer. I also could no longer scream at the end. If I did, I knew I would either throw up or pass out. 😅 It was nice to let go. But I was still reserved enough to stay still at some points to just watch. Each member displayed such personality on stage.

Kai: OMG his smile is even brighter in real life. He is sunshine. At the end, when he took pictures with his phone, his smile could’ve cured any illnesses you felt. And he spoke right before the encore from behind his drum set. And it was adorable. It took me a minute to realize who was talking since Ruki wasn’t on stage. But that boy knows how to take command of a crowd. No doubts from our precious leader.

Aoi: I couldn’t really see him too much in the beginning. But when I did get a view, he was swaying his hips as he played and it was hypnotic. He didn’t move around as much as the others, but he was still captivating.He can convey such emotions with his playing. I saw him smile and he about melted my heart.

Reita: Much like Aoi, I didn’t get to see him until further into the show. But he was so entertaining. My sister told me that at one point he spun around so much she was surprised he wasn’t dizzy. (I missed it....probably cause I was looking at Uru) And when the opening to The Mortal started, he freakin’ he slayed. He bent so low to the stage and played that bass like it was no one’s business. All eyes were on him! 

Ruki: This little peanut can command the stage, you couldn’t tell he was the shortest member. He stepped out on stage and just ripped right into it. He danced around making the designs on his jacket sparkle in the stage lighting. I was in such shock, when he started speaking it took me a minute to realize it was in English. They are getting so good at the language. At one point in the show, he stood beside Reita on stage and the two leaned against each other. His jumps and screams, he just kept the crowd energized.

Uruha: My bias. 😍 When he stepped out on stage, he wasted no time in twirling around and headbanging. He was in good spirits that day. His hair (and all the others) looked really soft. I loved watching his blonde locks bounce around as his head moved from side to side. When he stood on one of the platforms, it was then that I realized he is really tall. I mean, wow! When he came out for the encore, a group of fans in the pit were forming hearts with their hands, and so he did a heart right back at them. I cannot stop squealing about it because it was so adorable I will never forget that!!!! And the shirt he wore for the encore, it was too big for him. The neckline hung low I could see his collar bones. And halfway through Inside Beast, he rolled up his one sleeve showing off his arm before doing the other one later. I love seeing his arms! 💜 

They all just looked so good, and happy, and healthy and I just want them to take care of themselves and not work too hard. I hope they get to do some sightseeing before shows and enjoy the world tour as much as we are. Like I said earlier, I did not do VIP. I also didn’t do all that stuff for the Heresy fan club either despite being a member. But with everything that’s happened, we were just lucky to see them.

I don’t usually like to get personal on here, but this live meant so much to us. Two weeks before the concert our dad passed away unexpectedly. It’s sad, but we are just trying to move forward. It’s just a lot of stress to try and move on to a “new normal.” And it just sucks. But for one night, we were able to forget all of that and enjoy ourselves. No worries about bureaucratic paperwork and financial mumbo-jumbo. Just the fans and the band. It was such a sense of community. We plan to take the joy we felt at this concert and carry it with us everyday.

I am so thankful they did a world tour, and that they made New York one of their stops. This band is such an inspiration. They create such light in our lives.

you and jihoon had this unspoken rivalry that till this day, no one knows why

except your coach and jihoon

essentially, you and jihoon trained under the same coach when the two of you were younger

one day your coach praised you for nailing a camel spin and jihoon was jealous

not because he didnt have the ability to do so, but your coach rarely compliments the both of you

so from then on he started to lowkey hate you bc you were the "first" skater to break the "no compliment" facąde of your coach

and then it just got worse when the both of you started to enter competitions

the both of you do top your catergories and your coach praised the both of you nonetheless

but jihoon cant seem to let the hatred go,, despite being older than you

your coach found it funny how jihoon couldnt let his childhood jealousy go after so many years of training together

like,,, youve matured in your looks but not your jealousy??

you on the other hand had no idea why jihoon hated you sm

so you just hated him back LOL

during training, the both of you would be uber competetive

oh jihoon did a double axel? you would do a triple axel and double toe combination

oh you did a biellman spin?? jihoon would do a biellman spin and then an I spin right after

you do have friends you meet outside of korea during competitions

and they always tease you about jihoon

but you always shake your head and threaten to loosen the laces in their skates if they uttered the word "Jihoon" one more time

during competition season it was always common for fellow skaters to evaluate between themselves

and this time, ice prince baejin was your mentor

he was like the yuzuru hanyu of your team

there was this certain element in your routine which was pretty difficult to nail

which is a triple axel and a triple loop

you asked your coach to cut it down to a double loop instead but he told you he had faith in you so you felt bad and just tried to nail it from scratch

and of course, baejin was worried but neither was he in any position to change your routine

so he had to help you and guide you through

he was patient in every step and made sure your landing does not compromise on your ankle

meanwhile, as jihoon watched the both of you interact he cant help but to feel a certain feeling bubbling at the put of his stomach

was it jealousy? was it anger?

he could only watch afar when baejin pulled you up from your fall as the both of you exchanged giggles

so jihoon just skated around the rink, trying to show off a few jumps and spins as perfect as possible

baejin saw it, and smirked, "why dont your coach get Jihoon-hyung to help you? hes the best at jumps though,"

you could only smile sheepishly, "we arent really close enough to do that"

"ah..." it all clicked in baejin's head already, "not close enough--ow!"

"youre supposed to coach me, not play cupid."

on the competition day, as you practiced the dreaded combination on flat ground, you did exactly as what baejin told you to do and your coach was proud

until... you went on ice

you were not the type to make any mistakes on ice, but the combination failed you as you landed quite roughly and fell

you heard multiple gasps from the audience and could already visualise yourself getting cut out of the team

nonetheless, you continued on and finished the routine nicely

as you exited the rink, tears were already forming when your coach tried to comfort you, and you quickly shrugged on your jacket

in the end, you were placed as a runner up, which wasnt bad but not up to your expectations

when you walked back to the locker room, you walked past jihoon and his friends who were seemingly laughing about something

"yah, did you see her fall? it was tragic" you heard one of his friends snicker

"i know right, shes gonna get cut off."

you glared at jihoon, whilst he was still smiling at their joke

and that made you hate jihoon even more

having the audacity to hate you for no reason and now laughing at your fall? he was being such a blatant bitch about it and wasnt even sorry

you stormed off, exiting the gymnasium to get some fresh air

then settling on a park bench and sighing into your slouch

your brain took over the rest of your feelings as your tears stained your face again, makeup long erased from your previous tears

just then, you felt a presence beside you and looked up, it was jihoon, carrying a plastic bag

your rolled your eyes as you got ready to stand up, an arm pulling you back into your seat

"what? are you gonna laugh at me more for my fall? mr perfect jumps?" you sniffed

"you idiot," jihoon shook his head as he took out a bandage and some dettol,"you dont even notice that youre bleeding"

you looked at your left shin, and heck, it was, blood cascading down your legs and staining your white nikes

"give me your leg," jihoon patted his tigh as he shrugged off his jacket and placed it on your tighs

you obediently complied, as jihoon gently dressed your wound and occasionally asking you if the dettol was stinging

you were genuinely touched that jihoon would actually care for you though, since he has been hating you for so long

after he bandaged your wound, he cleared his throat awkwardly,

"if you want me to i can beat up those bastards for you, they got a scolding from me already--"

you were surprised that jihoon actually wasnt laughing with them, as you giggled

"its fine, they wont even be able to make it to the team anyways"

jihoon raised his eyebrows, as he cleared his throat again, "do you want to watch my routine later? coach choi said that it was my personal best"

you scoffed as you rolled your eyes, he was using your coach to make you jealous

"yeah sure, i'll see if coach choi's right"

"then i'll--"

just then, jihoon's phone rang, and he pulled his phone away from his ear as soon as he picked it up

"i'm sorry, i gotta go now"

before you could return jihoon his jacket, he disappeared into the gymnasium already

you begrudgingly sat beside your coach as you watch jihoon prepare himself on ice

no doubt, he looked hella good in his costume, a white button up and black pants

what made you more surprised was the song he was skating to

you remember yourself always playing Spring Day in the background when you warmed up in the rink during practice

it was your favourite song

when the song was reaching its climax, jihoon did a series of triple axels and quads, which was honestly really pretty and he landed perfectly

during the chorus he actually danced on the ice?? like wOaH

you were throughly impressed honestly, it takes alot of effort and skill to be able to dance on ice

with stray parts of his blonde hair flying wind, he looked ethereal

you getting snatched was an understatement

during the bridge, he did a quad lutz which was, really mind blowing

in the end, jihoon did clinch that champion title

you swore if he didnt get that you would physically fight the judges

you thought jihoon would saunter to you just to show off that he was the champion,, but no

he gave you the flowers he was gifted with one of his knees on the floor

“y/n... i know we have been hating on each other for the longest time, i really dont want to keep up with this honestly, will you be my girlfriend?”

before you could turn to your coach, he was already filming the whole ordeal on his mobile phone

you shyly nodded, as jihoon picked you up and spun you around aaa

the next thing you saw trending on the internet was you and jihoon’s relationship LOL

dating jihoon didn’t make the competetiveness go away tbh

except that jihoon would actually stop when he thinks its too dangerous for you to attempt

warm up is no longer you warming up alone

you have never fell on ice thanks to jihoon

because that boy would blast to your side just to catch you

the letter that I never wrote (broken best friend edition)

my best friend is married.

my world is shattering. I am losing my best friend. (yes I am the bad friend that compared our friendship to her companionship. she used to get so mad at me because of this haha); this is the dark side behind the word ‘I’m happy for you’. I hope you never read this, not in my knowledge of course.  

often times I found myself googling, "is it normal to feel sad when your best friend got married?" I put this in the search box every now and then just to keep myself justified. to my surprise, it is totally normal to feel not okay. it's not about you - not being happy for her, it's rather on the thought of she has someone new to rely on, and I will be fading away from the picture. and I can no longer rely on her as much as I used to be. I mean, things have changed way before she gotten married though. It was after she learnt being in relationships, way before the then-boyfriend-now-husband appeared in the picture. I knew it was just my insecurity but I couldn’t help but to feel sad that I might lose her. I’m already losing her. 

when I said I used to rely on her, it means ALOT, like a whole galaxy. the things I did, the thoughts I think, the childhood I had, the times we spent together - always on loop on the back of my head. okay la galaxy is exaggerating but when I think of what would I do if my best friends are no longer here - I would possibly cry two weeks straight and lose the purpose of my life. that’s worth a galaxy of my life. that’s just how meaningful our friendship is, although there are some (read: many) rough patches - but still, I’m heavily dependent on them. we weren’t physically together for half of our friendship (it’s been almost 20 years), more like ODL best friends lol but we are closer than anyone could have ever imagined. I guess that’s also one of the reasons on why I’m numb on the day she decided to have a relationship then. you don’t know how hard it is to watch you best friend shifted her attention to someone else that you don’t know of. I know it’s just me, but yeah - my thought process is very complicated. 

I can’t lie that I had not been suffering for many, many years comparing myself to her previous relationships on what I am lacking of as a friend that the need of having a love life surpasses me as her childhood friend that has been there all along? childish of me, I’m very aware of that. I struggled a lot with my thought process every day and the peak of this mess in my head was during early uni days. she gained new friends, she gained best friends, she gained the love of her life. jealousy isn’t even a word to begin with hahaha. but she has always been that selfless best friend, the one that always showed up whenever I need her (but not these days lah, I guess people changed, or maybe... circumstances are different now and nobody is there to blame).

the day she married is when the day I told myself - let go of her and just be there for her, that’s the best thing I could do. anyone who read this must be questioning, why the need for me to feel this way? I can just keep on being her friend though? this goes long way back. I am very insecure in whom I opened up to. the only (two) persons in the world that I choose to expose 60% of my vulnerability is my best friends. probably that is why I felt so, so sad knowing that she made this big decision without thinking twice, she was very confident of whom she’d like to spend her life with. However, being happy with her has nothing to do with me being insecure. I am happy for her, I am glad she has someone to rely on (instead of me, the annoying one), and I am relieved that he is the one for her. they deserved each other and that’s a fact I can’t denied.

What are my expectations now? nothing. I come to terms with my very super high expectations and decided to no longer become the secretly broken hearted best friend. I was very disappointed before that one of my bucket list wasn’t tick off - I had long list of things I would want to do before either of us got married, but life got in the way and I didn’t have the guts to tell her in the face. WE DIDN’T EVEN THROW HER A BACHELORETTE PARTY. that’s how sucks I am. I can never get over that fact. the pandemic now is just an excuse anyway. the real reason was my incapability as the so called best friend to do the basic of basics. I claimed to be her bestest of friend when I don’t even come close to any of the “friendship goals”. I guess another thing is, I always feel indebt of her. she gets to do nice things to me, but I still didn’t meet the opportunity to pay all of her kindness (or maybe I missed that window of opportunity - I guess I am the foolish one).

added to the fact that I grew up watching too many Disney shows and friendship movies that I am hung upon to the story where best friends live together and do things together carefreely without any dramatic events. I desperately wanted that before. little that I know, that was just me. no matter how best friend you are, you don’t really want to spend your life with them when you got your own life (thing is, I don’t have a life hahah). you can easily tell that I am the screwed up one. I’m always sorry for the both of them, and forever grateful for their existence in my life. this is not a goodbye though, but I just wish I had write more on what I felt instead of bulking up till the broken pieces ate my inside. I am left with nothing now. I just wish I could turn back in time to correct things so that I would turn up to be genuinely happy without the need to justify any sadness or disappointments. all in all, it comes down to one regret. I wish I could become the bestest of friend version that I’ve always had in mind. 

I know I could still be, but I just need to be an adult now and grow the hell up. (and probably find my own love life so that I could move on)

p/s she didn’t die, she just got married - 1 month ago. and I probably need to see a therapist. this isn’t end of the world.
