Hello may I please request Goro Akechi, Ren Amamiya, and Shinjiro Aragaki with their partner surprising them with a very thoughtful date?

Goro Akechi
Because work and life and his popularity had been keeping him busy for the past couple of weeks, he felt lucky (and a little obligated) to plan a date for the two of you since he felt he had been neglecting you to keep up with his other responsibilities
So imagine his surprise when you turn down his offer of taking you to your favorite date spot because you “already had reservations for the two of us” at that time
But when the night comes and he meets you at the location you sent him, he can’t help but be floored bc like…
Who would have thought that you’d plan something all about him when he was the one who wasn’t making time for you?????
But of course, because he’s Goro Akechi he’s gonna keep his composure when you surprise him by taking him out for a nice, long dinner at some rooftop place in the city
Though you really made his heart soar when he realized that you picked a place with some quiet live music so the two of you could chat (or not! depending on his mood) and just enjoy each other’s presence
The menu has all his favorites on it, the music is from local artists he had discovered and started listening to a couple of months ago, and you wouldn’t let him talk about anything you thought could raise his blood pressure
So most likely, the night is spent with him looking and feeling all soft as he stares out and enjoys the scenery while holding your hand over the table
Truly, this date with you was just so nice and gentle and sweet and just decompressing
It was exactly what he needed (or rather, you’re exactly what he needed hehe <3
Tumblr media
Akira Kurusu
Although he’s probably busy himself, Akira tends to make a lot of time and does most of the date planning because he’s a romantic hehe (i swear on my life he is, he has to be)
So the one time he let you take the reigns and plan a date, you wanted it to be super special
So you plan: treating him to a delicacy that’s famous in his hometown……anddd learning how to cook it with him!
It’s not much but you remember how he talked about missing when he could eat that local delicacy whenever he wanted but how it was difficult to find it in Tokyo
So the moment he realized that was your plan, he was pretty smitten
It was something so simple but it showed that not only do you care and listen to what he says, but you also wanted to cook with him- something he only recently realized he loved
So that whole day was spent munching on food that reminded him of home and perfecting the recipe (that turned out to be a bit harder than expected!!
But by the time the two of you were satisfied with your creation, Akira felt like he had fallen in love with you all over again
Only someone who truly loves him could dedicate their time and money to making a wish he had mentioned off-handedly once come true
And that someone was you- utterly perfect you! <3
Tumblr media
Shinjiro Aragaki
Okok stick with it for a second but- There’s a dog shelter that Shinjiro always lingers by right? Because there’s a few dogs he has bonded with every time he gets the balls to go in there
Including a little mutt who is way too lovable, but far from the definition of cute
So your date idea: take Shinjiro and the doggy out for a day and give the doggy a good time
That means getting pup cups and doggy treats after a nice morning walk by the water and sneaking the doggy bits and pieces of your lunch to her and then hours at the doggy park
And Shinjiro? He loves it because he spends every walk holding your hand and pet his favorite dog whenever he wants and just enjoying the excitement a cute pup brings hehe
It’s not much of a “date” per se, but with all the heavy emotions he feels and burdens he carries you figured something like this would allow him to let his guard down
He doesn’t even realize that’s what you were trying to do until way, way after the date had ended and you both were inside in his place cuddling on his bed or something
It was your way of spending quality time with him while ensuring that he could spend the whole day in a good mental state where all he could think about was the doggy and you and all the silly happy things that were happening right in front of him
He never said anything but the second he realized, his eyes started tearing up as he started to feel overwhelmed with emotion because of how much he loves you and how good you are to him
And like the good partner you were, you just held him tight and promised to keep providing him with all the good things he thought he never deserved (but you know he always did)

Holding On and Letting Go
After a long afternoon of studying in the school library (not his preferred activity, but Mitsuru had insisted after seeing his most recent exam scores) and an evening at the local boxing gym, Akihiko returns to the Iwatodai Dormitory. Having eaten on the way home from the gym, all he wants to do is brush his teeth and go to sleep.
Then he sees Makoto passed out in the dorm lounge, slumped in one of the luxurious chairs, the book he’d been reading now resting against his thigh. All those late nights cramming for exams or storming ever higher floors of Tartarus had finally caught up to him.
Deciding to wake Makoto up before Junpei finds him and does something stupid, Akihiko makes his way past the couch and table to stand over his slumbering friend. He had never paid Makoto much attention outside of Tartarus, but in sleep, the blue-haired boy looked much more fragile than his combat prowess would suggest. Aki had seen him cut down monsters twice his size, and if Takeba was to be believed, he'd beaten up three men at once with his bare hands. Yet in that moment, Aki can only compare him to his late sister Miki. He taps Makoto’s shoulder gently, but that fails to wake him.
Akihiko considers raising his voice, or even shaking Makoto awake. He can’t just leave him napping in a chair; his back would pay for that. But Makoto looks so serene that he can’t bring himself to interrupt his sleep either. The only option left is to carry him back to his room.
Sliding his arms under Makoto’s knees and back, Aki lifts him from the chair.
"C'mon, Leader,” he says. “Let's get you to bed."
When Akihiko shifts his arms underneath Makoto, the shorter boy mumbles something unintelligible and wraps his arms around Aki. He's holding on so tight, like he expects to be dropped at any moment, but Akihiko doesn’t take it as a slight to his strength. Once your home has been ripped away from you without warning, it’s hard to ever feel safe again.
After a slow, careful journey upstairs and down the hall, the two reach Makoto’s room. The door doesn’t lock, so Akihiko is able to awkwardly grab the handle and open it without disturbing his sleeping friend much. He carries him straight to bed and lowers him towards the sheets.
“Down you go,” he whispers, but Makoto won’t let go of him.
“Dad…” he whimpers, clinging tighter. “Don’t go…”
Aki lifts Makoto back up at once, holding him even tighter than before. “It’s okay,” he says. “I’m not going anywhere.” The words feel so awkward, a lie of omission he’s not skilled enough to tell convincingly, but his firm grip is soothing enough to compensate.
It takes almost a minute for Makoto to let go of him, but Aki doesn’t mind. Miki was the same way.
Once his friend is tucked into bed, Akihiko turns to leave, but the moment feels incomplete. There must be something he could do, if only he were socially savvy enough to realize what.
Feeling defeated, he makes his way out. He’s just about to close the door when it hits him.
"Good night, Leader." Akihiko sweeps Makoto’s fringe out of the way and kisses him on the forehead. As he stands up to leave, he sees a gentle smile on his friend’s face.
"Sweet dreams…”

NEW FIC!
It's been a while since I last published a fic and when I'm back it's with a Persona 3 one instead of any of the drafts I have for Persona 5 fics I talked about . Sorry but I'm currently on a Persona 3 Reload brainrot and it seems that it's gonna last a while. However, I wanted to write my own November's Full Moon thingy and here I am with something a lot longer than intented, as usual. Of course it has to be Akimitsu because apparenty I like to punish myself loving ships hated by the fandom
Because you’ll be back, right? He asked with his eyes, too afraid to do it directly. She looked away, thanking him again, and she same dense silence as before formed between them. He hated that. That wasn’t them. They were comfortable silences, and silly bantering about school, and scolding because of his recklessness, and deep conversations about Tartarus. Not whatever in hell that was. His heart ache.

Chap 3 is up! It’s shorter. Also please check the chapter notes for content warning!
Just realized whenever I share it, it always defaults to chapter 1. That kinda sucks.

I like angst and hurt especially with my favourite ships so now it's everyone else's problem - tis the season after all eheh
[[CW: mentions of blood and death, brief mention of wanting to disassociate (but it doesn't go too in depth)]]
It only takes a few weeks for Minato to fall for Ryoji, and he falls he falls HARD. Like stereotypical highschool crush stuff that everyone knows minato likes ryoji like it's common knowledge (most people even think they're actually dating) - well, everyone except Minato and Ryoji know. Whenever Yukari says something about it minato will act aloof not knowing what she's talking about, as if his face doesn't light up oh so slightly whenever Ryoji enters a room or looks his way, as if he's not spending most of his days around them doing whatever and listens so intently and every word that comes out of their mouth.
It takes him a while to even fully process these feelings - he'll catch himself drawing little doodles of his friend on his page instead of taking notes like he should be, he fixated on little details on Ryojis face that he's never seen before stopping himself and pulling away (he was never good at eye contact but it came easy with them, he couldn't look away from those eyes). Then he starts dreaming about him during class and he's not sure how to react to it, he can't really cause then Ryoji comes up to him and drags him somewhere else and distracts him like they always do and he puts it on the back burner for later.
But it was one night after Ryoji left the dorm, about an hour stray of midnight, he's looking for the window watching them walk out of sight when Junpei makes some remark about the two like he always does, does it all click for him - oh shit, I like them. But he's not that worried about it, at least not yet, he feels - happy? Happier than he's felt in weeks, months - maybe years. How could a guy he only met a few weeks ago do that to him? He looks at the moon, noting that it's a full moon tonight but instead of the usual dread of uncertainty he was expecting, he felt something akin to hope..
Of course things can't be that simple for Minato, nothing really is... of course the first guy he ever falls for turns out to a monster of death, one monster who just so happens to be the whole reason Itsukui made them fight in the first place.
Aigis' warnings ring true and now here they were, Ryoji begging minato to kill him, to forget about everything that's happened, to forget everything he fought for, to forget them, to live the last few months they have in peace before it all comes to an abrupt end.
He thought about it, dreamt about it even, of his hands and sword covered in blood, impaled through their chest...
He hated those dreams. Minato always woke up afterwards struggling to breathe, he'd jump out of bed and rush to the sink in the corner to just wash his hands even if he knew it was just a dream and there was really no blood shed, he still felt dirty. he couldn't look at himself in the mirror or he'd just see their face staring back instead, blank eyes with that stupid fucking smile...
He feels like he should blame Ryoji for ruining his life, for clinging onto him and poisoning anything good he ever had. Ge thinks he should also be blaming aigis as well, they were the reason why death existed in him in the first place.. but he can't bring himself to do that because he knows that they didn't have any choice, Aigis was just following their program and Ryoji was well... not the Ryoji he knew, not yet at least, they were just concepts who couldn't think for themselves.. far different from the aigis and ryoji he'd come to know now...
In the end he couldn't do it, he knew deep down he couldn't but he was still attempted to. He had the switchblade up to their throat but they didn't even react. He looked into those eyes he adored so much and didn't see a thing behind them. Ryoji kept wearing that smile but the warmness it once had was gone and it just felt hollow. But that wasn't the worst part, that was when they told him that he felt happy, truly happy, and he just couldn't accept that. Minato was shaking, he was terrified and Ryoji knew it, of course they did and he didnt want to hear anything else Ryoji was saying, he couldn't take it. Even staring down the beast that had haunted his nightmares for a decade couldn't make him budge. Minato knows he said something to them that was enough to get them to give up on convincing him but it wasn't enough for him.
He wants to blank out so badly but he can't. He hasn't been able to blank out at all this past month. No matter what he did he just couldn't escape reality anymore, not when the question of it was always in the back of everyones minds, himself included.
During the whole conversation downstairs he was aware of everything that was happening, how Ryoji talked about climbing up Tartarus and defeating Nyx like it was an impossible task and like they were stupid for trying, how Junpei tapped his foot like a nervous tick, how Yukari took glances at him whenever she thought he wouldn't notice, how he could hear the whirring of cogs inside Aigis (he swears that it's not always that loud), how he was fucking shivering and not because of the temperature in the dorm or how his shoes needed to be polished or how he was trying with all his might not to fall apart right now.
He could hear footsteps, Ryojis footsteps, as they advanced toward the front door and he finally looked up not wanting forget what they looked like. Ryoji stopped before he walked out, turning their head and locking eyes with him and suddenly it was like they were the only ones in the room and he feels like he's gonna choke. He wants to say something, anything, but the words are all clogged up in his throat. Ryoji, for their part, still has the same smile on their face as they deliver the worst lines Minato has heard all night.
They just said farewell. And just like that Ryoji was gone, having said everything they had wanted. But Minato hadn't.
He wants to tell them how much they really mean to him, how much he didn't want to lose them forever, how they were the first person in ages who made him feel whole, how they filled a hole in his heart that not even SEES, who he saw as his family, could fill and-
It hit him all at once how much he loves Ryoji, how he's only properly knew this guy for a few weeks but was so sure that he wanted to be with them for the rest of his days. Was it werid that he was in love with Death itself? Was he crazy for loving someone that existed inside him for so long? He didn't care, he didn't care if they were a monster, he didn't care if they were trying to put on a front to get him to hate them because it didn't work and it didn't matter anymore.
The horrible truth was that he was in love with Ryoji Mochizuki and there was nothing he could do about it.
He was in love with Ryoji and Ryoji couldn't feel anything back for him, even if they wanted to.
They never could feel anything.
And any emotional restrain Minato had left tonight was gone the moment the world fell under that dark green hue, a sick reminder that the best thing that had ever happened was gone and was never coming back.
Yeah so I was debating whether or not Minato was gonna confess and just get 😐 as an answer or just never confess and go to his grave with that regret. Both are pretty depressing but I think i settled with the best of both worlds.

He’s like a cat- mostly independent around everyone else but loves a good cuddle when you’re invovled
Like sometimes he’ll just straight up pick you up and place you on his lap and y’all could cuddle while doing your own thing
Just in general he probably likes it when the two of you can do stuff alone together
Something like him listening to music while you’re reading a book- all while snuggling on the bed <3
Of course he’ll loves doing stuff with you too
But you’re just his safe person so he probably just loves existing around you most of all
He definitely talks more with you compared to other people but he’s still pretty quiet
But he adores hearing you talk about whatever the hell is on your mind and he’s a great listener
So just be prepared for lots of touching and clinginess when you’re around him
Oh, and lots of soft kisses on the forehead, cheek, nose, and pretty much everywhere <3

Morale Reasons
“I’ve fulfilled one of your requests.”
Elizabeth looks up from her book. “Oh?” she asks, as cheerful as ever. “What do you have for me this time, Yuki?”
“A Mothman,” I say, holding my hand out. A translucent playing card materializes, hovering a few centimeters above my palm. The picture is a gray moth, its yellow wings tucked behind its back.
“Excellent!” Elizabeth says. “Can it cast Fire spells?”
“It can,” I say. The card turns around, Mothman’s portrait facing me so Elizabeth can read the wall of statistics displayed on the back. She smiles, satisfied with my handiwork.
“Marvelous as always,” she says. “As thanks, may I gift you some clothes? They’re more suited for one of your friends, but I’m sure you’ll find them appealing as well.” She gives me the most stilted wink I’ve seen in my life, then reaches into her handbag and pulls out an entire maid costume. “Well? What do you think?”
“Thank you,” I say, my voice unsteady. I’m not sure how to react. “Where did you get that?”
“Fragments of human desire wash ashore in my realm,” Elizabeth intones. “This outfit is one of them, a symbol of some deeply coveted object or status. I haven’t a clue what place it occupies in the collective unconscious, but for it to arrive intact, its allure must be strong indeed.”
“You could say that,” I mutter, my face heating up. “I’ll take it.”
“Glorious!” Elizabeth says. “Have a wonderful day.”
After a meal at Hagakure Ramen, I return to my dorm room and empty out my school bag. I’d crudely folded the maid outfit Elizabeth gave me and stuffed it inside, but it doesn’t seem to have wrinkled too badly. I’m not sure what to do with it, though. Among the girls I’m friends with, it looks like it would fit Mitsuru best, but she would never wear a maid dress. Besides, it would be inappropriate to give as a gift. The recipient might think I was pressuring her to wear it for me.
I hang the garment up in my closet. We’re going to Tartarus tonight- someone’s wandered in again- and I need to get ready. But as I’m about to shut the closet door, an idea hits me.
Mitsuru and I are about the same height.
A few minutes later, I walk into the main lounge, dressed in the maid outfit. The skirt is more modest than I’d expected, and it even came with black tights, but I still feel vulnerable.
“Is everyone ready?” I ask. Everyone turns to face me, and six pairs of eyes widen in unison.
“Leader…” Mitsuru says politely. “Surely you don’t intend to wear that to Tartarus.”
“I do,” I say. “It’ll be good for morale.”
“Maybe if it was a girl wearin’ it,” Junpei complains. “This is just weird.”
“You can call me a girl if it makes you feel better,” I retort, grinning at Junpei.
“Not gonna happen,” Junpei says. “You’re one weird guy, Makoto.”
Aigis looks puzzled. “Your attire does not appear to provide any tactical advantages,” she states, “and it most closely resembles the uniforms worn by female servants at Mr. Kirijo’s vacation home. Why have you chosen to dress as such for a field operation?”
“Because I look cute in it,” I say. “Right, Yukari?”
Yukari’s face gets red. “N-no!” she insists. “I can’t believe I’m agreeing with Junpei, but seeing you in girls’ clothes is just weird. Especially since it’s a maid outfit.”
“I’m still gonna wear it,” I say. “Now, is everyone ready?”
As we’re walking home from the rescue operation, Yukari catches up to me. “There’s something I want to say to you,” she says, “but it stays between us. Got it?”
“Yeah.”
“You look cute in a maid dress,” she admits. “It’s a little weird still, ‘cause you’re a guy, but you wear it well. And… okay, maybe seeing you like that did boost my morale a bit.” She glares at me. “If you tell anyone I said this, you’re dead. Got it?”
“Your secret’s safe with me,” I promise. “Thanks, Yukari.”

P3 Gekkoukan!Strega AU: Preventing One's Doom (Part 1 of 2)
Taking place in 2005 in my timeline! (So Takaya is 15, Jin's 13 and Chidori's 11 in this one, more-or-less)
I've been on and off writing this one regarding how Jin would awaken to Moros in my AU :V tho for this one it's gonna be a 'before' sequence, while part 2 (which I haven't written yet) will be an 'after' event, cuz I kindaaaa don't really have a thorough idea how things would turn out, unlike how I had things planned with Takaya's awakening arc. But at the same time?? I think this would explain itself rather well. I'm just glad I'm getting some of this done, honestly. After that I'll get around to working on Chidori's, which would be more thorough than this one for sure.
Fandom: Persona 3 | Characters: Jin, Chidori, Takaya, Ikutsuki | Word Count: 3,658 | Relationships: Jin-Chidori (brother-sister), Jin-Takaya (brothers; brief)
It's late at night, and Ikutsuki is trying to get home as soon as possible as he drives down the road to his house. It's dark out, and as much as he wants to race home and get some sleep, he'd rather be careful at this time of night. He always gets home before the Dark Hour would arise, otherwise he would be stuck in the middle of the road and in potential danger, leaving his children at home worried sick. That's the last thing he would want to be in, situation-wise. With the children at home safe from any potential danger themselves, at least he knows they'll be just fine in case anything happens during that time. Regardless, he always tries whatever possible to get home at a reasonable time after pulling overtime like this.
He finally makes it to his parking garage, turning off the car and getting out to head inside. He's tired, and yet he wastes no time walking to the door and unlocking it before getting inside the house. He hopes to finally relax, get himself some shut eye, but first— check on his sons and daughter to see how they're doing. Of course, he may not want to disturb them if they're already in bed. As they should be.
Today happens to be one of those days that they aren't, however. By the time he comes into the house and ruffles his coat, he can see the kitchen lights are on. Curious, he slowly walks over to see who's occupying the space, hearing two different voices coming from the area.
“C'mon Jin, hurry up already…!” A teenager with an almost-deep voice rushes the younger one as they're trying to get something in the kitchen. His hair is only shoulder-length and yet very messy, like he hasn’t brushed it in days.
“I'm trying, I'm trying!” The younger teen exclaims with a more pitchy voice, showing to be in the midst of puberty as is. His hair displays a side fringe type of style, with somewhat unkempt bangs that are brow-skimming above his eyes. “Ugh, dammit I can't reach it.”
“That's because you're too short. Here, just move out of the way!” He retorts with a tease, angering the younger brother.
“No, you!”
“Just move it already!”
“Stop it!”
The two bicker with hushed voices like if trying not to disturb anyone nearby, unaware that their father came home already. Ikutsuki then manages to peek around the corner to see the commotion going on. He then spots his two sons, one trying to push and climb up on the other, reaching high up with a chair as their stool to get whatever they're looking for in the cabinets. While he gasps at the potential danger they're putting themselves in, he also can't help but be incredibly upset just knowing how late it is. They should be tucked in bed while getting their sleep for school tomorrow. But instead, they're causing mischief as if their father would have no idea.
Ikutsuki however decided to break his silence. “And just what you think you two are doing!?”
The sudden question spooked the two kids as the one on top almost lost his balance. If they were anymore careless he would've landed on the kitchen floor by now. Jin just cursed under his breath. “Shit, you scared us…!”
“Oh, hey pops…!” Takaya awkwardly greeted their father with a forced smile. It quickly fades away, however, given Ikutsuki doesn't look so pleased in return. “I swear, this is not what it looks like.”
The Chairman then slowly crosses his arms in doubt, with a raised brow and a scowl. “Oh sure it isn't. Then what exactly does it look like? Hm? You know it's way past your bedtime.”
While the boys try to explain themselves, the father then taps his foot hoping this better be good. Just what were they up to, exactly? Looking for snacks? In the medicine cabinet? Surely they're smarter than that.
“Look, you see father—!” Takaya starts before being cut off by Ikutsuki at the same time.
“Now I don't want any excuses!” The man shook his head before snapping his fingers and pointing towards the staircase. He's really tired right now, and doesn't want to deal with this at the moment. “C'mon, get down from there! We'll discuss this in the morning.”
“But pops—!”
“And no ‘buts’ about it.”
It's back and forth between Takaya and Ikutsuki as it can turn into an argument. Before things can heat up within the conversation, or until they leave the kitchen, Jin comes in to break off that communication to get their real reason in.
“But Chidori’s sick!”
“... Sick?” Ikutsuki surely didn't expect to hear that.
It's hard to tell whether or not he should believe him, given the first thing he sees coming home is them shuffling through the cabinets in search of something. But, he's all ears…
Jin nods, giving his honesty. “She hasn't been feeling too well lately, so we were trying to find some medicine for her. You know the brand of the one we used?”
“I uh…” Ikutsuki ponders on that for a moment. “I think it was something like 'Pine Eve'… but I don't think we have any more. But: There should be some winter radishes in the fridge! We can use that to make our own cold medicine.”
He smiles and therefore opens the fridge to look for it. “Surely I made it for you kids before! Just that with a bit of honey and… oh no...”
Unfortunately he can't find them anywhere, as they were most likely already used up for their meals not too long ago. That or it got spoiled, and therefore thrown out.
He closes the fridge door in disappointment and sighs. He only glances down at his watch to check the time. It's almost a quarter before midnight, which leaves him very little chance to go anywhere far to pick up some meds for his daughter. “Well, shucks. Why didn't you call me about this on my way home? How long did you know about this?”
“Just a couple hours ago, and I tried calling you then!” Jin answered through a sigh as if annoyed. “You just never picked up.”
Their father then checks his flip phone, seeing a short list of missed calls from his son as explained. Even a voicemail. He didn’t recall it going off at all, which is unfortunate. He sighs even louder. “Oh dear. H-How bad is it? Surely if we wait til morning she may get better.”
Jin didn't answer right away, like he's afraid to. He crossed his arms with a sign of concern. “Her temperature was forty degrees celsius last I checked. It's… kind of bad, the first time I checked it was only a little less. I just don't know what to do…”
Ikutsuki takes a sharp breath before making a small sigh in distress. He assumes the worst, as he wouldn't want to risk any of his children if they have a fever that high. The first thing he thought of is taking her to the emergency— but at that point the Dark Hour will emerge, and there'd be no one to help them by then. His next best move would be the most convenient option possible, as he then adjusts his jacket that he hasn't bothered taking off yet. Shortly afterwards he then glances at the clock. “My apologies children, but right now I need to head to the market while I still can. If we don't get anything for her now I'm not sure how much she'll manage during the… y-you know. Uh, anything else we need to get while I'm there?”
He shows this sign of weariness the others are familiar with, or what the children like to call it, 'papa-panic' mode. Of course his reactions are definitely reasonable when it comes to having a sick child in bed that needs to get better, and soon! He doesn't want to risk waiting it out if it means Chidori could be getting worse. He was about to grab his keys he left on the counter when one of his sons called out to his question.
“Oh oh, can I come with you?” Takaya asks eagerly while waving his hand up for attention, like if they are going on a trip together. Jin gives an unamusing reaction to it.
“Takaya, this is serious! I'm not going out to dilly-dally while the Dark Hour is just around the corner.” While Ikutsuki gives his share of an unamusing expression at his careless son, he can’t help but see the excitement in Takaya as he pleads to tag along. Sometimes, he just has a hard time saying no, especially now. “You can come along— but as long as we don't waste any time.”
“Yes!” Regardless of Ikutsuki’s warning, the young Takaya cheered anyway and went upstairs to grab an article of clothing or two to wear. Meanwhile Jin goes to pout since obviously that means he is left alone with his sick sister, while he believes he is better fit to go with their father and make sure they get everything they need in a relative time. He has nothing against staying at home, of course, he just knows how Takaya can be when it comes to wasting time doing duties when necessary. They're on a time-sensitive mission now.
Even the father sees the frustration on Jin’s face, which he finds rather amusing. “Don’t worry Jin. We’ll be back in a moment before you know it. Meanwhile you can keep me up to date on how Chidori is doing…”
Meanwhile Ikutsuki waits for Takaya to come back downstairs and fix up his jacket while heading out the door, turning around slightly to ask his eldest son with a quiet tone. “Do you have your evoker on you, just in case?”
“Well yeah, of course.” As relative the question can be, Takaya just rolls his eyes before smirking and following his lead out the door.
They exchange a few more words between them before the door is entirely shut, the father locking the door before getting to the car. Jin happens to be standing next to the unoccupied furniture before he walks over and sits down. He rubs his eyes and then his head in frustration, still feeling a bit bitter about earlier. It’s quiet in the room, as to be expected. The clock on the wall quietly ticks at every second that passes. The outside world through the windows is still pitch black, the white crescent moon shining modestly in the starry sky. Jin knows they’ll be back soon. From what he can tell they’re just heading down to the gas station that’s a ten minute walk from where they live.
Even knowing that, they’re rather short on time, making their short journey a last-minute mission. Knowing that on top of Takaya’s carefree nature and making things take longer than it needs to be, that puts another layer of nervousness on Jin. “Dammit Takaya. Why did you feel the need to tag along…?”
“Papa…?”
Jin heard a familiar voice and therefore stood up from the couch to look up at the staircase behind him. The young girl took a few mere steps down to see if their father was here, wanting to personally welcome him home knowing how late it is. She must’ve heard him from her bedroom when he got home, but unfortunately she just missed him by a hair, and she hasn’t gotten much sleep lately. Between her words the eleven-year-old makes a cough to her fist, which comes up short yet rough through her throat. Her cheeks are flushed red, and she has been feeling and odd sort of chills lately. Jin only hesitantly takes a step back just to make sure she doesn’t cough his way.
“Chidori!” Jin makes a hushed voice, despite having no reason to do so other than mere politeness. “What are you doing out of bed? You should be resting!”
The girl makes another cough. “But I heard papa. Where is he? Did he come home yet?”
It only took him a moment to notice why she’s been seeking anyone as of now. She’s probably having a hard time being alone while Ikutsuki is away. If he were to be annoyed by this he would wonder why she can’t stay where she’s at and be fine without their dad around. However, being her brother for about five years now; he can’t honestly blame her. She can feel vulnerable when feeling under the weather like this, and this is where he usually steps in.
“They’re out to get some medicine for ya. Here— just lie down.” He pats on the arm of the couch for her to sit in so she can rest while having Jin nearby. She does so without question, as she drags a rather small blanket behind her and uses that to cover herself up. While she is perfectly fine with it, Jin however knows she’ll need more than that if she wants to stay warm. He goes to get a heavy blanket that was in the closet nearby  and brings it over to her, throwing it on top of her in one swoop.
Chidori only grumbles under the blanket in annoyance. “Ugh! Jin— why are you giving me this?”
He continues to tuck her in with the blanket regardless, making sure the thick material is nice and tugged from one side to another. He pulls the top part of the blanket down just enough for her head to poke out of, being able to see her surroundings rather than being swamped from the material head-to-toe. As much as Jin despises being near someone who’s sick (and therefore contagious), he still hovers over her, just inches above her face while pushing and folding the edges of the blanket around the sister, like making her into a cocoon. Even after being close to done, Chidori already started showing signs of discomfort by wiggling underneath the thick cloth.
“But Jiiiin. It’s too hot in here!”
“Good.” He exclaims under his breath, not making much eye contact with her as he finishes folding the edges in. “That’s the point. If you want to break your fever you'll have to keep yourself wrapped up and warm. Otherwise you’re just going to get the shivers nonstop.”
He straightens back up just to see if he tucked her in right, seeing she’s comfortable and wrapped up as much as possible. Now hopefully she doesn’t move from that spot…
He goes to the kitchen to grab a glass of water along with a damp cloth for her before making his way back to where she is in the living room. He puts the glass next to her where she’s able to reach it, placing the cloth on her forehead in hopes that’ll do. He paces around slowly, seeing if that is all he could do for the time being. He would rather make himself at least somewhat useful rather than watching his sister suffer and move around the house with aches and pains. He makes a quick trip back to her just to check her forehead with his wrist, finding that to be a more accurate way to feel her temperature.
“Hmm… you’re not feeling too much better either. Just sit tight and they should be back soon.”
Chidori certainly doesn’t have the energy to argue. She glances up at the clock to see the time while wondering when they’ll be back. She surely didn’t realize how late it was… how long she’s been up as she was trying to go to sleep. But this fever has been bothering her for what it feels like so long, yet it only started a couple hours ago. She hates feeling sick, although it’s a good excuse to stay home and draw in her bed when she doesn’t need to go to school. Jin takes the initiative to sit on the edge of the couch close to her feet, glancing over at her before staring down at the floor and tapping his foot on the carpet rug. It was then eleven forty-five when their father left to go to the market. Eleven fifty. Now eleven fifty-five. Just the two kids sitting down quietly and patiently, playing the waiting game of how long they’re going to take to get back home. Maybe Ikutsuki needed to get some gas too while they’re there, or maybe Takaya is trying to pick out a snack at one of the food aisles in the corner market. Whatever the reason, they should be on their way back soon. They’re usually good at getting home and staying home before midnight strikes, but this might be an exceptional case tonight— and that is what makes this so suspenseful and worrisome for them.
Even Chidori is starting to get worried, with her feet shuffling beneath the tucked in blanket. “They’ll be home soon, right?”
Jin doesn’t answer her right away, but he shows his acknowledgement towards her question. “Yeah. They should be…”
The clock continues ticking, and the two would glance up every once in a while with an uneasy feeling of their own. They try not to think too hard on this— as in the ‘what if’ scenarios. It was only a matter of time before Jin stood back up from the couch and made another pace around the carpet, looking up at the clock again. “Ugh, what’s holding them up?”
“Hmm…” Chidori hums in thought while furrowing her eyebrows over the idea. “I hope they’re alright.”
She turns her head towards him, while trying not to sound very self deprecating through her words on the matter. “Do you think it may not be worth it? I don’t want them to go through all the trouble just for me.”
“Hey now, don’t say it like that.” He goes and kneels on one leg to make eye-level contact with the sister, making sure she looks right back at him. “They’ll be just fine, so don’t you worry about it. None of this is on you. You know that.”
“Right… I know,” She figures as much. She slumps farther into the couch to get herself more comfortable, though it may be a matter of time before she would have to go back upstairs into her own room. However, she doesn’t want to move until they both know they get home in time. Jin, with having a similar idea in mind, kneels back up from the floor and checks the clock on the wall again. Eleven fifty-seven. He makes a quick look out of the window in case he would be able to spot their car, however there’s still no sign of them.
He then sighs in distress, scratching the back of his head. “Well shit, now I don’t know. I’ll give him or Takaya a call before the Dark Hour starts, just to see if they’re okay.”
The girl nods in agreement, seeing this as a decent idea. Before he makes the chance when pulling out his flip phone, Chidori goes to ask. “Brother did bring his evoker with him, did he? I hope he came prepared.”
Jin then glances up, recalling the same question that their father asked Takaya before they left the house. “Yeah, he said he has it on him. And you know how Shuji wouldn’t let him keep it in his room anyway, so usually it’s out on the—!”
He takes a look at the table in the middle of the room where he would usually see the evoker, realizing that it’s actually still laying right there; out in the open. “Shit!”
Chidori only manages to pull herself up higher on the couch to see what he’s looking at, noticing the same evoker on the table. “But wait, isn’t that his?”
Eleven fifty-eight. Without another question to spare, the thirteen-year-old went to grab the evoker right away, seeing how careless Takaya can be with his belongings. Especially something so vital. He grips onto it tightly, looking around the room before heading towards the door to open it. Chidori then quickly moves into a sitting position to call out to Jin on what he’s about to do. “Jin, wait! Where do you think you’re going!?”
“Outside, obviously!” Jin quickly unlocks the door and opens it to look outside. He still doesn’t see them or their car at all, which makes it all the more reason to go after them if they’re going to be stuck in the middle of the road. There’s only less than a minute left now, and he can’t say for sure if he should go out there and look for them or wait until he sees them coming back. He can’t think clearly anymore, and he isn’t about to stay at home and do nothing about it. He quickly turns towards the sister. “I’ll be back soon! Just stay inside until any of us comes back!”
“No, Jin!”
By the time she forcefully got up from the couch and undoing the blanket upon herself, he was already out the door, closing it behind him. She runs towards the door, only stopping to cover her brutal cough. Now she’s scared, and alone. Not for herself, but for her brothers and father who may get stranded out there at the worst hour. He should’ve called him first. He should’ve checked up on them to see where they’re at before running off like that! She starts breathing heavily, starting to feel an ominous shiver throughout her body. She gasps, and her stomach feels sick to the core.
“J-Jin!” She coughs again, along with another cough after, taking one step at a time before kneeling down onto the floor. She can’t manage to move much afterwards, mainly out of fear rather than her sickness. Her voice then cracked. “Jin! Wait! Come back! Please!!”

In the Naganaki Shrine Koromaru, the grayish blonde silver furred eared and tailed Shiba Inu with red eyes rests on the ground sighing to himself.
“ At least that damn bird won’t be pestering me!” Koromaru thought to himself as speak of the devil the deep blackish blue & bright indigo blue streaked bird with blue eyes looks Koromaru’s way.
“ Azarath go Ahhhh!” Koromaru says running away as Azarath chases after them.
“ Leave me alone!” Koromaru says sweating as Azarath flies after him.
“ Wait! I love you!” Azarath replies flying after Koromaru hopelessly in love.
