* "payer de sa personne" is a turn of phrase that can mean more generally just "put in a lot of effort" or even "put your life on the line", but it does carry a very distinct sexual connotation to it, especially in a setup like this

thinkin a the divinity au and how exactly gepard would find out that sampo is aha. because like. it would absolutely happen Eventually but i think it wouldnt be because of the easy/obvious ways like

sampo wouldnt tell him or mess up so catastrophically that gepard cant deny it anymore. and in the au both pela and serval (mostly serval) are very much suspicious of sampo and trying to figure him out but

i imagine it more like. gepard puts the pieces together himself. i mean the dudes smart hes not an idiot, hes just extremely oblivious to sampo's less blatant shit because a) he's immune to the subtler influences of divinity and b) the idea that a fucking aeon is dicking around on a frozen planet and flirting with him is unimaginable.

gepard would figure shit out as he goes, putting the pieces together and on his own without other peoples' prying but also. he wouldnt tell anyone.

Do we ever find out if Devon Silvestri (the organ harvester) had any motivation beyond simple greed and delusions of greater medical expertise than he actually had?

Because he wasn’t intending to kill his victims, in fact he tried “heroic” measures to save the bathtub victim. Yet after accidentally causing his death, Silvestri continues to perform subpar surgeries in the same ambulance with the same M.O. on more people.

We’re distracted by Hannibal’s murder spree during the episode and the intense eye, uh, contact while Hannibal was in the ambulance at the end. But really, for Silvestri to commit the same crime in the same way when he had to know the police were on the lookout - he either had to be catastrophically stupid or desperate.

Maybe he was trading a bunch of organs on the black market for one he or a loved one needed too quickly to wait?
