He despised being teased about his feelings towards you. He thought he was doing a good job at hiding them, but apparently, the whole gang knew except, well...you.

"No! I don't like them at all, shut up! We were, we are and we will always be only friends!" He yelled and, when he turned around to leave, he felt like his world was going to crumble. You were standing right there and the look on your face said everything: What you just heard completely broke your heart.

"There is no mission. We need to talk." The moment you heard that, you wanted to get up. "At listen to me, please." His voice sounded so...pained. You sighed and sat back down, a quiet way of telling him you were going to listen to him;

"Look, I know that the situation I put you in a few weeks ago was a painful one, hearing your friend say they don't like you at all...It is a pretty difficult thing to manage. I wish to say...It was all a big misunderstanding. I-" You raised a brow at that, your soft voice interrupting him;

"You mean that saying you indirectly hate me is all a misunderstanding?";

"Yes! I wasn't saying that I hate you...I was saying that I don't like you in...that way." You opened your mouth to talk back again, and he raised his hand to stop you. You stared at him wide-eyed. No words were coming out of your mouth and only now you noticed the absolutely horrible state he was in. You don't think you've ever seen Bruno this stressed;

"I really...don't know what to say, Bruno. I'm sorry for reacting how I did, I just...I thought you hated me. And it broke my heart knowing the one I'm in love with hates me." You admitted and he gave you the same stare you just gave him;

Giorno had no idea what to do for you to forgive him;

But oh, how wrong he was. He found himself thinking even more about you. It's like you were stuck in his head, exactly like the roots of his hair were;

That's exactly why he was there, in front if your house, desperately knocking at three o'clock in the morning, desperately seeking you;

Annoyed by the never-ending sound of knocking on your door, you opened the door to your house, wondering who could it be at this hour. However, you certainly didn't expect seeing your usually stoic teammate, drunk and with such a look on his face;

"A-Abbacchio?! What are you doing here?" you asked and were met with silence. Pure, cold silence;

Without saying a word, he pulled you into his body, and this was the first time ever since you met him that he hugged you. Even if he didn't say anything, you somehow understood everything;

The silence was now comforting and, even if you had no clear explanation, you didn't exactly care at that moment. You could speak tomorrow, now, you just enjoyed his warmth;

this tweet (https://x.com/littlefaiths/status/1817775320918847691?s=46&t=L7Z7tpqXDaxqrMiLS0ZuBA) made me think about the different way mulder & scully communicate/express themselves. like i say all the time i love when they speak each other's language, and i mean that in a lot of ways. but how do you think about their communication styles? the way the express feelings & thoughts etc. (and the way they understand each other "despite" their differences)

this is the tweet: "people read the pillow talk scene in plus one in such constant bad faith but it’s truly one of my favorite scenes ever...i think sometimes people want vulnerability/exposure from scully but are completely uncomfortable with the ways that her character textually expresses herself"

and i said that because i think people can fall into a lot of traps with scully, viewing her character in a larger context and obsessing over what every piece of dialogue or blocking Says about the Author and about Society and about Women (which to be clear isn't isolated to this character, this is a widespread way of thinking) which can bypass what is being said about her in a literal sense...trish, you and me talked about this recently, how we wouldn't want our every move and breath to be dissected based on what it means to feminism or what the implications of our decisions are. and as a writer, i wouldn't want my work to be broken into pieces like that either.

and so i find that there is a lot of projection and judgment in reading any particular scene, and not a lot of curiosity. which is a longwinded, overly-problematic, unnecessary way of saying that scully is a loser babes! she is an extremely lame person! you don't have to throw around words like "fertile" and all this fiery rhetoric to discard and disregard every single scene.

to what i was saying last night: people want vulnerability and exposure from scully. they are completely uncomfortable with the way that she expresses that. if she wants to sneak into her baby daddy's bed years after leaving him and mope that maybe he doesn't 🥺 like her anymore, that's her. same woman that showed up with wine and cheese and got ditched for monster hunts. same woman who begged to autopsy a mutant sewer worm to maybe spend 5 minutes with him.

same woman who at 13 stole her mother's cigarettes; not because she wanted to smoke, but because she knew her father would care.

(same woman who, after her father died, believed in a psychic and looked up at her partner to say "i thought that you would be pleased.")

to address your question, i don't think they do speak the same language. i think they speak each other's language, most of the time. sometimes they don't. sometimes they get hurt feelings. sometimes they get ditched (with wine and cheese, or fresh tattoo ink). they're learning, though, and they're learning themselves too. by the time she knows to creep into his hotel room and ask, he knows to say "i'll always be around." she knows to walk out and go buy her own dinner, if he can't focus. he knows to sit still and stay in and let her make weird jello.

that's learned. that's maturity. that's twenty-five years. of picking up, and putting down, which more than anything is what i view scully's way of communication as. she spends her career traversing any length, and her life venturing out just a little.

A Hidden Danger pt:1

Being a human in this strange universe was not as easy as it had used to be. Earth has been gone for a while now, most of the species being kidnapped by pirates or giant snake people, and now being treated like a dainty flower that would break to the lightest breeze by Carrion's guardian, a large bipedal bovine woman, called Trish.

"I am telling you it'll be fine! I'll be careful. Besides, it'll be amazing to see a new planet that not even the rest of the community knows about!" The twenty year old human states in an excited tone before grumbling at how uncomfortable the suit Trish was making him wear was.

"I know you'll be careful. We all will, but it's more of I don't want you harmed." Trish sighed as she looked down at her charge that came up to the middle of her brown furred torso, although the protective suit hid most of her features, besides her horns which were curled into a similar shape like a Terran's highlander cow.

"Technically, I should not have allowed you to go on this expedition in the first place. I can get in major trouble, I am supposed to be helping you." Trish states as Carrion looks back up at her and gives a tired sigh. Her ear flicks slightly as the door to the steel box they were in opens, allowing the rest of the expedition crew to arrive.

A large bipedal bear steps through the door, their belly straining against the protective fabric of the Hostile Environment Neutralizer Suit. In the padded hand of their suit, they carried a large briefcase like box. This was Tur. They were the group's expedition biological field agent. "Ah, it is good to see you are both already prepared. All we have left is to wait on Nellion, our geologist, and the surveyor of the expedition."

The geologist was another humanoid figure, only having an inch on Carrion compared to the over two feet the other two had him. Someone here didn't make him feel too small for once. An epicene voice rumbles through the speaker system of the suit.

"Trish, it is wonderful to have you with us again. We missed you." Nellion turns to Carrion, stepping closer to the human, allowing him to see the feline like eyes barely through the darkened glass of the helmet.

"It is good to see you as well, Nellion. This is my -" Before Trish could finish, Nellion interrupted, causing the guardian huff in annoyance.

"You must be Carrion, our new archeologist! It is wonderful to meet you, I am sure you will do wonderful." Nellion gave Carrion as Cheshire smile before heading to a free corner of the steel box and pressing a button.

The elevator they were in began to slowly lower, bringing them to the vehicle bay of the small explorer ship. A rover large enough to fit them all laid on it's dock bed, prepared for it's mission. The group of four take up their seats as the engine flared to life, blue glowing from it's center. The exit ramp lowered as the hover pads raised up the rover a good foot of the ground.

Before them laid what was an empty wasteland, consisting of nothing but jagged stone and harsh winds across the sandy stones. "Wow. I thought we'd be landing on one of the jungle areas." Carrion states as the wind fills the bay, the sand plinking of the glass ineffective in scratching or otherwise damaging it.

"This is as close we could get to one of the older plant species on the planet. The station needed to see if we'd be able to use it for better structural support in upcoming colonies." Tur spoke loudly as their speaker rumbled out, but it was barely heard over the howls of the sand. Nellion, who was driving the rover, had begun to pilot the rover to a break in the fury that was the wind.

"Trish?" Carrion rumbled out to his guardian that was sat to his left. His helmet turned to face her.

"Yes?" Her helmet turned towards him, the inside beginning to fog up slightly from each word spoken.

"This is a lot dif-," He began to say before stopping and leaning his head to look around her, his eyes squinting at something distance. Trish turns her head to look over to her left. A short red blip broke through the torrent of sand.

"Hey! Something is over there!" Carrion shouts, pointing at the blip. Nellion squints before turning to Tur. "Let's check that out first. We have a few days to get the sample. This planet was supposed to be uninhabited."

Tur nods in agreement. Nellion begins to type onto the console, and the rover begins to hover towards the red blip. Upon getting closer to the blip, allows them all to see it is a red light connected to the side of the rock face. A large metal door that looks like it was sandblasted for a hundred years also rests in the rock face.

"Nothing to indicate sentient life was found when we scanned the planet earlier." Tur hummed in a curious tone as Carrion climbed out, much to the surprise of Trish who climbs out with him.

Getting up to the door, it was more visible to see the sand had grinded the once air-tight door enough so something could find more purchase. "Trish. Think you'll be able to open this?" Carrion asks as he runs his hand against the sanded door.

"I appreciate the compliment on how strong you think I am, but if it's a standard blast door, I ain't opening it." She states as she could just feel the puppy eyes from Carrion. "Ugh, fine, I'll try. Stand back in case something breaks horribly."

Carrion stands behind her as she hooks her padded fingers into the groove. The door lets out an ear grinding screech, but it opens none the less. Upon opening, the doors lock, no longer needing her to force it. The way down almost horribly dark. Carrion flicks on his H.E.N.S.' built in light, about to step in.

"Wow, there! I go first, as I have to keep you safe." Trish places a hand on his chest as Nellion and Tur step out of the rover. Carrion blinks before allowing her to go first. The rest of the team was not far behind them.

After setting down the grimy steel hallway that was illuminated by their suits' lights, the entrance groans. The locking mechanism snaps loudly, releasing the door. It closes, sealing them in.

Turning around after it was too late. What Nellion said next was lost on Carrion as his universal translator.

AU is just do something with an au idea, character/characters winds up in an alternate reality or just it's about an alternate universe you want to make something with without having any characters having traveled there.

Day 5, Thursday February 22nd: Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life or Character Study- Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life is you bring your saddest/one of your saddest headcanons to life. Character Study is where you take a moment in one of the games (a part that isn't covered in a novel), or the anime, and sort of study a character in that moment by sharing their thoughts and emotions.

Day 6, Friday February 23rd: A Commune With the Dead or Before We Meet Them-A Commune With the Dead is where an alive character finds themselves having a conversation with a dead one. Before We Meet Them is where you make something about a character that's set before we chronologically meet them. Some examples would be: Dante before the DMC 1 novel (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Vergil before the DMC 3 Manga (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Lady before the DMC 3 Manga, Trish before DMC 1, Lucia before DMC 2, Nero and Kyrie before DMC 4, Nico before Before the Nightmare, these are just examples there are other characters here to use as well.

Day 7, Saturday February 24th: Rescue-A character/characters need rescuing and another character/characters rescue them.

Mini vent post, you may ignore but I felt y'all needed an explanation.

I think I'm finally ready to admit it.

I love the Pokémon fandom, it's one of the first fandoms I ever joined as a kid.

I adore what we create, the bonds it has allowed me to make.

But I'm burnt out on submas, I thinks that's why I haven't opened my request in a while.

I still love them very much, do not misunderstand, I love them dearly.

But I've been writing them 95% of the time since I started this blog like a year or so ago.

I believe I'd still accept requests of them, they hold a special place in my heart after all, but I take only a handful of requests at a time, and it's usually like if I only take 25 requests then 20 of them will be submas, and the remaining five other characters.

It makes me want to branch out more.

Like I love castlevania, and I'm excited the newest anime has gotten people into it and I hope they discover the games for more lore and characters!

I'm smitten with legend of Zelda, I love the different versions of Link, Ganon, and the memorable characters from different games (fierce deity come home please, it's been 23 years-)

Genshin has pulled me in and I can't see myself leaving anytime soon, I love too many of its characters.

I will never get over Dante, Vergil, Lady, and Trish from devil may cry, never, I'm weak-

I think I'm over thinking it to be honest, like I'm fighting with my over what gets the most likes or interactions vs what the characters I'd like to write more.

I know I can't control the inspiration or anything but.

I don't really know what I'm rambling about now, but I'm tired.

I want to get back into writing as I sit in my less than loving house, writing gives me an escape and seeing what I write make people happy makes me happy.

I just am not sure what all to do anymore.

It's probably just the depression talking or something, but I'm getting back into old fandoms like kingdom hearts and final fantasy 7(I'm playing the remake and need to beat Reno, but sir your tibbies are right there-)

And it's like I can breathe again, even if just for a moment.

I hope I actually explained myself a little, but I feel as though I've been all over the place.

I know I do miss posting stuff and then getting swarmed with people talking about their ideas or sending in their theories on things, or even just to send me a whole fic of their own cause they wanted to share.

I don't think Ciri will be as hairy as Olgierd. White hair is very thin and fragile. Ciri also has elven blood, and elves don't have body hair in most cases. Ciri probably spends a lot of time to keep the hair on her head in good condition. And I think Ciri paints her eyebrows.

In the Middle Ages, men considered the hairless female body seductive and youthful. But Roche didn't care about the presence of hair on Ciri's body (but Voorhees might faint if he saw the hair on a woman's body). Nevertheless, there are other girls, Ciri has always envied them and wanted to be just as beautiful. Therefore, Ciri as a countess and Empress could remove hair on her body. In other variants, she would not care about this, because there are no possibilities and no sense.

(Also, CD Projekt RED and others are just too lazy to draw hair on the bodies of the characters.)

Watching The 40-Year-Old Virgin as an adult in 2024 I really do not like the love interest, Trish. Buckle up cuz I'm gonna tell you why.

Firstly when she believes she's on the phone to a telemarketer she jumps to vicious insults and says

"Go sh**t yourself in the f*cking head. Hey, why don't you just, you know, get a knife and run into it?"

She says this to (what she thinks is) a telemarketer. Not a scam caller. Just someone with a job trying to make a living by selling laundry detergent. Seems a bit dramatic.

Secondly, it's rich of her to judge someone's job choice when she owns a dumb business that makes no sense

Likely that business wouldn't last more than a year irl. She has a store front with all her items for sale on display but doesn't actually sell anything there. Dumb. How she can afford a house in the suburbs is a mystery. Perhaps she comes from money?

Thirdly, when her daughter comes to her and tells her she wants to go on birth control so she can have sex (which is incredibly responsible and mature of her) Trish freaks out.

Instead of listening to her daughter she starts a huge fight with her because:

"I want her to keep it in her pants until she gets to college."

She wants to go the abstinence only route, despite her daughter being open an communicating with her that she does not want that. Trish doesn't even want her to go to the health clinic until Andy convinces it's a good idea. Only valuing a mans opinion and ignoring her daughter bodily autonomy? Not very feminist.

Fourthly, when Andy says he likes the idea of starting his own business she immediately jumps to him selling his collectables.

Something which he later admits is not something he wants to do but she defends herself by saying

"I'm trying to help you grow up, Andy"

Which is a sentiment that may have worked 2005 but now it just feels judgemental. There is nothing wrong with collecting stuff. A collection like that can be important to someone and it's not necessarily a sign of immaturity. Let people enjoy what they want.

Then in the next sentence she gets a two insults in one:

"I mean, my God, you ride a bicycle to work in a stockroom."

Insulting a healthy and environmentally friendly method of transportation while also insulting his job(Insulting others jobs is a pattern clearly). A job in which he has been promoted and has a certain degree of security to. And don't forget her 'job' is selling other people's stuff on eBay so where does she get off!

Lastly when she comes to talk to him at his home, she just enters his home without him being there and starts rummaging through his stuff.

She starts jumping to conclusions like seeing a mint and assuming the worst

"This your date drug? Your roofie?"

Then she just assumes he's trying to kill her or something out of nowhere. She's been on 20 dates with this man. Let him be around her children. Let him take her teenage daughter to a health clinic without her. And just because he's weird around her when she wants sex that must mean he's a serial killer. Absolute idiocy.

In conclusion, Trish is an awful human being. Very judgemental, not a feminist, and jumps to he worse conclusions at the drop of a hat. Andy could do better and unless she changes their marriage won't last.

WTNV quick rundown - 89 - Who's a Good Boy? Part 1

[moving from baby talk to a dog, to a serious, urgent question] Who’s a good boy? Who’s the good boy? Who is it? Who is it? Welcome to Night Vale.

The strangers have taken over the town, destroying anything they can, seemingly for absolutely no reason than to destroy things. Cecil has taken his reporting to the streets. Carlos and his team of scientists are holed up in his lab trying to find a solution. Steve, Abby and Janice are also there and is it the 'safest place'. Carlos gets increasingly frustrated at his inability to find a solution using science but refuses to take a break.

Cecil notices that Dark Owl Records is untouched. Michelle and Maureen are smoking candy cigerettes outside of the store. He asks them how they escaped the destruction. Maureen says that she commanded the army to not attack this place and quit her leading-an-army 'internship' due to feeling misled and not liking her boss. She still has some irritation towards Cecil but admits that she thinks he's just clueless, which he doesn't understand. Maureen says Chad is trying to reverse the ritual he did. Michelle and Maureen are not putting a label on their relationship.

Lusia explains how the 'beast' (the beagle puppy) controls people because it's so cute you would do anything for it, anything at all.

Cecil enters the house of Frances Donaldson. He finds that she has become a Stranger. She speaks to him through inanimate objects including his own shoe. She states that when you are 'made strange' you are transported to a cavern. The cavern is dark and full of mud whose quantity chances and although you can hear what might be other people, you can never reach them or even call out. Eventually, after years of wandering like this, slowly losing yourself, you end up wanting what the master of this place wants, and he wants nothing. That's why they are destroying NV, because they want nothing, but they also don't want a why they only want nothing. Even though Cecil can see Frances, she insists that she is still in the mud.

Cecil meets Louie Blasko, who urges him to say 'weather' (the weather plays) and then is turned into a Stranger. He also meets the man who is not tall and the man who is not short. They say that they have nothing to do with this, that the only real question is 'Who's a good boy?' and also steal Cecil's pen.

At City Hall, Cecil finds that City Council have fled and that Trish Hidge is fleeing from the Beagle Puppy. Cecil comments that the puppy is no longer cute. In fact it is changing, stand upright, becoming elongated and mishappen. It tells Cecil that he is the good boy and that he rules the wet caverns of Hell. He says he wants nothing and he will get it.

Weather: "Plunder" by The Felice Brothers

Cecil is finally ready to admit that Steve loves Abby very much and that they have a good family together.

Carlos apparently likes to play Bloodbourne to relax.

France's mailbox is 'killed and skinned'. Make of that what you will.

Despite stating that he's 'not on the radio' right now, he still adds the community calender and a sponsored spot. Cecil could be simply compelled to do these things as part of his reporting even when the reporting is 'physical'.

There is no sign off for this episode.

I'm only gonna do a couple of these, if that's alright. I don't have much to say in regards to Trish and Lady's opinions on the others.

Dante and Lady: I choose to interpret them as ride-or-die besties, similar to my relationship with my bff, whom I've known for 16 years. It's almost a familial sort of relationship, but not quite. They've had rough patches and fights, but in the end they care for each other deeply and would do absolutely anything for each other.

Dante and Trish: they're family. I feel like they might enable each other's bad habits.

Dante and Morrison: a business partnership turned friendship. Morrison seems to look after Dante a little and cares about his wellbeing, which Dante needs. Didn't Morrison's letter say he's known Dante since his Tony Redgrave days? Something must have drawn Morrison to this punk ass kid, and he stuck around because he cared.

Dante and Patty: I've said it a million times, but they're father and daughter to me. And I think putting Patty in Dante's care was a calculated move on Morrison's part. JOY, PATTY BE UPON YE.

Patty and Morrison: I think they still communicate regularly and see each other semi-regularly. They're not necessarily friends or family, but they are fond of each other. They also both care about Dante very much.

I'll leave it here, because I don't really know how to interpret Lady and Trish, and Nero's dynamics with Nico and Kyrie seem pretty obvious to me.

The ending of DMC 5 leaves the door very open for new character dynamics to be formed. Which is exactly what this question is about.

How do you believe Dante and Vergil will move forward with their relationship after DMC 5? What about Vergil and Nero? How about Dante and Nero?

Vergil is going to end up needing to form a dynamic with all of the characters after he and Dante return from hell. The characters he will inevitably end up interacting with on a normal basis will be: Lady, Trish, Kyrie, Nico, Patty, and Morrison. How do you believe his relationship with all of these characters will turn out? How will they start off, and how will they develop?

Dante has a dynamic with most of this cast, but what do you think his dynamics with Kyrie and Nico will end up being like?

Hello dear DMC anon! I am deeply sorry for the delay in my answer and for starting to answer not in chronological ask order 😔 This was the ask that was the first to give me inspiration and I admit that I overestimated myself saying it would take a week to answer ^^”

But returning to your ask! Ohohoh, I love thinking and talking about dynamics * rubs hands* , soo

- Dante-Vergil: I think that, at the beginning, the relationship between Vergil and Dante would be...strange. They’re just used to fight, stab, mourn, be angry, and a lot of other not very good and healty things towards with each other. I think at the beginning they would tend to act as they have always acted, their behaviour being like that for basically their whole lives, but slowly (veeeeeeeeeery slowly) and most likely with the help of Nero (and a therapist), they would start to change. In my opinion, Dante would be the one reaching out more, the one who firstly put some real effort towards communication and healing, while I picture Vergil instinctively trying to hide behind his “I don’t need humanity”. Thankfully tho, we have V’s memories and experiences that would metaphorically smack his head and finally make him see another point of view. The twins would go visit what remains of their old manor, and Eva’s grave. They would probably not say a word to each other, but they are twins and some things don’t need words to be understood, to be shared.

- Vergil-Nero: If Dante-Vergil would be strange, here we touch the peak of embarrassment, especially from Vergil’s side. Nero, despite being an orphan, is used to have people around him that loves him and he can call “family”. Vergil, on the other hand, has never experienced such things after Eva’s murder: he tossed away his own and only brother, he detached himself from his humanity and now not only he finds out his brother actually want him back in his life, but he also have a 20-something-year-old son. I don’t know if Vergil ever thought about having a family: I think he was too little before the accident for this kind of things, and he was too obsessed with his own delirious mission afterwards. We don’t know how and why the thing with Fortuna’s Red Woman happened, but I don’t think it was out of love and/or desire to have a family. Not for Vergil at least. (I have all my theory and headcanons about the Red Woman, but this is not the place I guess XD). I think they will be both wary of each other at the beginning, not knowing what to think of the other: you know, like two stranger dogs that study each other slowly walking in circles, trying to read the intention of the other, never daring to do the first step to move the situation forward. Kyrie would probably play a big role in their Reconciliation/knowing each other: she would gently push Nero, trying to ease his mind and doubts, being at his side whenever he needs it and probably suggesting therapy for the whole Sparda boys. And since I think Vergil would like her immediately, she would somehow also play the intermediary, inviting Vergil for dinner and starting conversations (that I totally see being super awkward the first few times), and sal those useful things to make sure that they slowly get to know each other.

- Dante-Nero: Nero would be very angry with Dante: as soon as the twins come out of the Underworld and return home, he would go there and scold both of them fot sure, but especially Dante. He didn’t tell him he was the nephew of the friggin’ Saviour his whole hometown worshiped, but most importantly he didn’t tell him he actually had a family. He didn’t tell him he was his friggin uncle, he didn’t tell him that Urizen was in fact the demon half of his father. Nero would shout and cry and swear against Dante, letting out all his frustration and anger and all the things he had time to ponder upon while the twins were in hell. But after that first burst of anger, Nero would slowly return to normal: it will take time for sure, since family for Nero is an important issue, but the desire to be with his family, to be happy with them, will prevail over any other negative emotions. One part of him will be also like “Woah, the Legendary Devil Hunter is my frigging uncle, this is so cool!”, but that’s a side he will never show XD

- Vergil- Lady, Trish, Kyrie, Nico, Patty, and Morrison: I think with Lady and Trish would be kind of awkward at the beginning: he has met both of them before his time as V and the subsequent return as Vergil, so he has some memories of both of them. However, obviously enough, he can’t base these new relationship on those past encounters, so he will have to rely on his experiences and interactions as V. With some time, I think they will manage to go past the awkwardness and start to know each other. (Maybe with Trish it will take a tad more time, since he still has to completely process the fact that there’s someone that looks exactly like his mother.) My headcanon is that Vergil would immediately love Kyrie, probably because she reminds him of Eva: her kindness, her selflessness, her love for Nero. Despite being the person who tore Nero’s arm off, she would be kind towards him, even if it a bit forced at the beginning. With time, I think their relationship will grow into an almost proper “-in-laws” one.

My take with Nico is that he would bear admiration for her skills, but he would also be put off by her personality. There are going to be some back and forth that are going to escalate in altercations, since I imagine Vergil is not very good at taking insults and/or not very good remarks and Nico is a snarky one who is willing to tell her mind. They would probably circle around each other like two dogs trying to understand each other. Nero will 99% of the times intervene as a peacemaker XD He would be pretty uninterested/neutral towards Patty and I imagine her to be a little wary of him at the beginning. I don’t remember if Dante ever mentioned his brother to her, but it was Dante she grew a bond with and is Dante that’s some kind of mentor/older brother to her.

With Morrison, I think Vergil will have a professional and only business related relationship. They’ll probably from time to time team up to roast Dante, but they’ll never let the other too near to themselves.

- Dante-Kyrie, Nico: Dante has already met Kyrie and, as everyone that has ever met the girl, is deeply fond of her. I think Kyrie would start inviting all of the DMC gang for dinner of sunday’s lunches: she wants them to bond in some other environment that isn’t slaughtering demons, and also because she deeply wants to know them as well. She’s a bit torn at the beginning, since she deeply thanks Dante for saving them and Fortuna from Sanctus, but she’s also mad at him for keeping Nero from the truth of his heritage. But Kyrie is Kyrie and she would end up forgiving him, mostly for Nero’s sake, but also because she can see he’s a good man at heart. Dante would try to avoid Nico and her questioning/fangirling (mostly for comic relief), but I think he admire how she’s a true Goldstein and how both similar and different she is from her biological father. She would become his official weapon repairer and in due time he will even entrust Ebony and Ivory to her care.

- Nero-Lady, Trish, Patty, Morrison: I think Nero views Trish and Lady as some very cool senior coworkers/aunties. He deeply respects and admire both of them and he cares for them, although not at the same level he cares for Nico or Dante. I think the events of DMC5 will bring them closer and will make the two girls think about him as a full grown adult now. With Patty, I think there’s potential for a siblings kind of relationship, similar to the one he has with Nico, since both of them aren’t afraid to speak their mind and absolutely would reprimand and roast him. The difference tho, is that Nero would be more of a bigger brother to her and probably would end up teaching her basic self defense techniques.

Morrison has the complete trust of Dante and I think it would take little to no time to gain even Nero’s one. After DMC5 he took a liking to him and would start to give jobs to Nero awell, especially if they are in the vicinity of Fortuna.

- Trish-Kyrie, Nico: I think Trish will have a very friendly relationship with both, although a bit superficial at the beginning? I picture Trish as someone that comes off as rather cold at first appearance, but than can warm up with time. Kyrie will make sure to make her feel comfortable and probably will initiate conversation to know better this mysterious demon woman, especially after she come to know her story. Trish would just humour Kyrie, but then she would find herself warming and opening up more. As with Nico, Trish will start to be a costumer as well, also giving the young girl with a lot of information about demons, devil arms and general knowledge of the Underworld, instantly become kind of an idol for her XD

- Lady-Kyrie: Given the fact that Lady has been a repeat costumer in Nico’s shop in Fortuna, I guess there are high chances that they’ve met before. At first I think Kyrie was kinda scared by a woman holding so many weapons at once, but after first hand witnessing how powerful demons are, having so much weapons (and be profiecient with all of them), is the least she can do to properly fight them. Like with Trish, I think both of them will warm and open to each other with time.

- Kyrie-Patty, Morrison: As with everyone, Kyrie will be welcoming with both, especially Patty, given her motherly nature. She would invite her often to Fortuna with the others and kinda become a big sis role model as well, being the mature and collected one in contrast to Nico. With Morrison she would try to avoid any conversation regarding Nero’s jobes, not very fond of all the gore and violence he surely faces (she hears too much from Nico anyway).

- Nico-Patty, Morrison: As with Nero, I can absolutely see Nico having a sibling-like relationship with Patty, being her bigger sister. Patty would probably find Nico very cool and would hang out with her and Kyrie while the others are on mission (probably would start to smoke to be cool as well, until Kyrie finds out and lecture her about a) how it is not “cool” and also not good for your health and b) how she has to have her own way to be “cool”, because she’s her own person and doesn’t need to imitate others). She would interact a lot with Morrison, picking up jobs for Nero or simply asking him a lot of questions about Dante’s jobs, because apparently no one is willing to give extended and exhaustive explanations about the demons they encounter and battle.

- What dynamics (other than anything involving a member of the Sparda family with another member) are you most interested in seeing playing out? I know it’s an impossible dream of mine, but I would like to see more human-demon and demon-demon relationships. Aside from the most obvious Sparda-Eva, I would really like to see what was like between Sparda and Matier or even brand new characters. My headcanon is that Sparda was not the only rebellious one, not the only that had a liking to humans, so I would be delighted to see how other demons acted towards humans and towards fellow demons: did they just take the side of human and fought for them against their own kin, or maybe someone tried the way of peace, of negotiation, of coexistence?

BB20: Thursday 19 October

Henry's sad to be nominated. He's just been himself, but that clearly isn't enough for some people.

(Henry - the problem is that being yourself has meant not doing any chores.)

Dylan is thrilled to escape eviction this week. Dylan actually received no nominations at all.

Henry says he had his views on immigration before he met Trish. Think we all know which views those were. Honestly, I'll be horrified if he stays in against Zak.

Trish feels guilty for nominating Kerry. She worries that Kerry can tell.

Yinrun is fed up of housemates walking away mid-conversation with her. This happens every day. She feels isolated, struggling to join in with certain conversations. Very hard seeing her so upset. She's worried she isn't as interesting as she thought.

People love you so much outside the house, Yinrun. :(((

Oh no. The only people she has are Trish, Jordan ... and Henry. She loses one of her very few friends if Henry goes.

As Yinrun cries with Trish, Matty joins to offer support. I'd really love Yinrun and Matty to become friends.

When I first met Elanor [my wife], we'd play this game where we'd spell letters on each other's hands to communicate in secret. A fun bit of early relationship bonding.

Hallie and Olivia played this game yesterday, but oops! Not allowed to use secret codes in Big Brother.

Hallie admits to the secret messages - that she claimed that Zak was a gameplayer, and that she reckoned Matty nominated her. (My reading is that Hallie thinks Matty nominated her, which he didn't. But maybe she meant Matty nominated Olivia, which he did.)

Hallie and Olivia are given prison outfits, and must be put in a prison in the garden.

Hallie: I've always wanted to be in orange.

Iconic.

Zak thinks Hallie's a nice girl, and that she only called him a gameplayer for attention.

I ... don't think this. Hallie's wonderful, but she's definitely a gossip, and has a cynical reading of others.

Still, I'm glad this didn't turn Zak into a Hallie hater.

Hallie asks Olivia to improvise a song about prison. I love this! Olivia's songs are so terrible, yet Hallie loves them.

Ahh, this might hurt Olivia. As a result of the announcement, Matty speaks openly about his issues with Olivia. Matty was the only housemate who nominated Olivia this week, but there's a chance his opinion will become contagious now.

In jail, Hallie feels like she's let her family down.

Hallie: Sorry mum! Sorry grandma! I'm not a vindictive bitch.

Olivia: I'm sorry mum.

Olivia: ...

Olivia: What does "vindictive" mean?

Hallie: I don't know.

Previously, Olivia told Zak that Matty slyly eats more than his fair share.

Zak's now annoyed with Olivia, and tells Matty about this conversation.

In the diary room, Matty announces that any friendship he had with Hallie is now dead.

Zak's really devastated by Hallie's low opinion of him.

A bit of paranoid misunderstanding: with the secret codes, Olivia and Hallie wrote the word no - N, O - and some housemates think they were spelling out Noky's name. They were not, they were the start of the word NOMINATED.

This is such a turning point for Olivia and Hallie. They received three nominations between them yesterday, but today everyone's furious with both of them.

It's interesting. The code game was just a game. They weren't being Nasty Nick from BB1. Plenty of people in the house have gossiped in private. Hallie and Olivia broke the letter of the law with their messages, but didn't realise it, and didn't intend to.

So now their private conversation has been made public, because they didn't think the secret messages would count as a rulebreak.

Oh, blimey. Sounds like Matty has a difficult history with food. He confronts Kerry, who deals with the situation ... kind-of badly. I think she felt she was being attacked, which wasn't Matty's intention. He wanted to open up about a difficult thing in his own life - and felt dismissed, since Kerry moved on quickly to defend herself.

Hallie apologises to Zak. Turns out Zak's especially hurt because he's been so positive about her. He accepts her apology nicely. And finally, he gets to respond to the accusation that's spread like wildfire through the house.

It's not that Zak tries to be everyone's friend to avoid nomination. It's that if he sees someone sitting alone, he can't help but come over to keep them company. He knows what it's like to be alone, and he can't bear to see anyone else in that position.

I believe this completely.

Hallie assures Noky that her name wasn't mentioned at all, that this was a misunderstanding. Noky chooses to accept this apology, but worries that she'll look like an idiot if she's wrong. Noky worries often about how she'll be perceived.

Hallie is really gutted about this misunderstanding. She really hasn't said a bad word about Noky.

Tom has identified a mouse living under the hot tub. He's named it Roger.

Oh no, Kerry confronts Zak about the Matty situation! Kerry's really tied herself in knots over this. Matty wasn't annoyed with her! At least, not until she dismissed his attempt at opening up.

Kerry's annoyed because she had a private, bitchy conversation about Matty with Zak, and is horrified that Zak told Matty about the conversation. Zak says that in that case, he simply won't have private conversations with Kerry anymore.

Zak talks to Matty. Matty's perception? There's a clique in the house, and they're the mean girls. Kerry, Olivia, Hallie.

Asking for DMC Fandom Week Prompts Approval

So I made this poll a few days ago: Poll and the common consensus seems to be interest and as soon as I posted that poll I knew deep down that if Interested! got the most votes I would do this. I'm honestly still not 100% sure I know how to do this properly, but I think I got it and if I don't I'll just learn as I go.

On that poll I said I was going to make the week revolve around a certain character or dynamic, on that I pretty quickly changed my mind and just decided to do a general fandom week because it allows more creative liberty + it's easier to think of seven prompts for that than it is for a specific character/character dynamic.

Anyways, here are my prompt ideas that I want approval for: (On some days there are options where you can choose which one to do or both if you want. Nobody needs to feel pressured to do something every day or at all.)

Day 1: Bonding-Characters bond with one another, how is up to you.

Day 2: Hurt/Comfort or Hurt/No Comfort-Hurt/Comfort is where one character is hurting and another character comforts them. Hurt/No comfort is where a character is hurting and they don't get comforted.

Day 3: Underappreciated Character-You do something with a character we haven't seen much in canon. Some examples would be: Lucia, Kyrie, Patty, Morrison, any novel only or anime only character, etc. You get the gist, just a character we don't see much of.

Day 4: Time Travel or AU-Time Travel is where a character/characters time travel. AU is just do something with an au idea, character/characters winds up in an alternate reality or just it's about an alternate universe you want to make something with without having any characters having traveled there.

Day 5: Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life or Character Study- Bring a Sad Headcanon to Life is you bring your saddest/one of your saddest headcanons to life. Character Study is where you take a moment in one of the games (a part that isn't covered in a novel), or the anime, and sort of study a character in that moment by sharing their thoughts and emotions.

Day 6: A Commune With the Dead or Before We Meet Them-A Commune With the Dead is where an alive character finds themselves having a conversation with a dead one. Before We Meet Them is where you make something about a character that's set before we chronologically meet them. Some examples would be: Dante before the DMC 1 novel (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Vergil before the DMC 3 Manga (not counting what we saw when he was 8 in Visions of V as his first chronological appearance in this), Lady before the DMC 3 Manga, Trish before DMC 1, Lucia before DMC 2, Nero and Kyrie before DMC 4, Nico before Before the Nightmare, these are just examples there are other characters here to use as well.

Day 7: Rescue-A character/characters need rescuing and another character/characters rescue them.

Also, this is how it works, right? I assign a prompt or prompt options for each day and people create something based off of it?
