Robbie's excitement felt ... terrifying, actually, as Hercules realised what he'd actually just volunteered himself for. He didn't even really spend time around, well, any kids??? Not alone! He hung out and helped look out for Avery sometimes, but even then usually either Nick or Isaac (or both) were around and would dive in if anything went wrong.

Robbie was older, sure, but what if he got hurt? Or wandered off? Or wanted to practice with Herc and then Herc kicked the ball too hard and-

"Uh, yeah," he blinked. "Yeah, I'll see you around." He started recovering himself a little more, and managed a slightly dazed and confused smile. "You have a good day."

I posted that little prelude so I could have post a little more of Karlach and Tav having their various little domestic things post-avernus between adventures. The first time Tav gets sick, Karlach takes it *very* hard because of what happened with her mother, spesifically. Fortunately she has some of Tav's capable extended family members while she recovers.

Some caretaking comfort where it's Karlach who needs to look after Tav for a bit, but thankfully they're both somewhere safe and familiar.

Also - Here's some more on Marian, Tav's aunt on her mother's side who also lives in Baulder's Gate, and her son Morion (Tav's cousin), who is Tav's age and grew up with her as an infant and child before she entered the monastery.

Marian is three years Anarene (Tav's mother's) senior, sadly Anna passed not long after her husband, Drannud's, death due to an incurable illness (it was cancer diagnosed as dropsy) for complicated reasons that aren't wholly clear (grief, stress, vulnerability to minor illness due to as much despite her sister's care.) Marian and Aaraere have three other sisters; Odhnue (living), Dyfri (living), and Irine (deceased), Marian is the eldest of the bunch. Anarene's marriage into the Felix family brought the whole branch into the clan, and Owl, the patriarch of the Felix Family still welcomes all it's members to family gathering and events despite Drannud's untimely death, the families are now completely and happily interlinked.
