I’ve been trying to put my emotions into words All day. But then I remembered. Oh right yeah. I can just. Say It.

(This is kinda long. Way longer than I originally wanted. So super sorry about that)

Anyways for a little while now I’ve been considering that I Might be some form of nonhuman/otherkin. Specifically a shapeshifter, but dogs, cats (both big and small), wolves, and bears are things I relate to heavily as well. (Not sure “relate” is the best term for what I feel but ehh I’m having a hard enough time with this as is) The dog, wolf, and cat parts are because of the kind of shapeshifter I..am?? That feels kinda crazy to say (and saying THAT is giving me some serious self doubt. But as they say, Fuck It We Ball).

Edit (8-24-24)- adding in cuz I just remembered: some visual similarities to lizards/reptiles so throw a little bit of That in the mix idk

Anyways yea the type of shapeshifter I’m talking about is actually a species I’ve been Sorta developing over a couple years now, it’s all come about pretty naturally tho. It’s basically just my brain saying “hey I Hate these parts of being a human. Let’s do something else” idk how to word it. So the kind of shapeshifter I am is more so based on what I hate about my irl body. That definitely plays into my gender dysphoria, and vice versa.

The bear part I feel less strong about, but it makes sense I guess. That came around when I had an intense hyperfixation on Splatoon. My favorite character is Mr.Grizz. Who is a bear. That hyperfixation was also the catalyst for me trying tinned fish!! (This is important to me bcuz I’m an Incredibly picky eater. Not fully relevant to the rest of this but Oh Well. I’m already oversharing on the internet in an attempt to come to terms with my identity, why not share a fun fact, Yknow?) Ever since that I’ve also felt very strongly about salmon. My favorite fish (I didn’t have a favorite fish beforehand) is sockeye salmon I LOVE them. They’re beautiful. They’re poetic. I want to eat them. Also my current layout (as of writing this) is splatoon themed. Specifically Salmon Run and golden eggs. I love the way the world of splatoon makes me feel. I want to be completely immersed in it. Golden eggs look so tasty and are so gender I HAVE to eat them.

I don’t know if this is a kin thing or if I’m just thinking too hard about it (that could apply to this entire post but eh) but I also relate (again, maybe not the “correct” term but I’m working with what my brain has so shh) to Chara from Undertale. Idk something about a little kid falling down into a mountain full of monsters, being adopted by said monsters, and giving themself up just to try saving them…their cannonical distaste of humans…something about them as a character really feels so intensely Me. I don’t think I Am Chara, but. Idk. This is all very new to me (admitting that I feel these things at least. I’ve been consuming some kin content for a while now. It’s fun!! Love moodboards and stimboards so much they’re so fun)

And maybe, if anyone has even read this far, u might be asking “bee! Your name is Bee! Your account name is bee themed!! Are u a little honey making freakazoid out to get lost in the pollen sauce?”

To which I say:

All jokes aside. I don’t know man. Bees are very me, I am very bees, but I tried looking at bee kin/therian posts and i couldn’t really relate as well as i hoped. Although I might’ve just not scrolled down enough to find something that I really deeply felt in my gut. So just. Think of me like a fancy car (except creature) with a cool bee themed skin or something idk. (To be fair itd make more than enough sense for me to be a..kin?? Therian?? I don’t know. Of a bee. I have so many bee things. One day I will have more)

I’m still unsure of labels, if anything I just prefer the term nonhuman, gets the point across without being too specific, and doesn’t give me any of the bad icky feelings that make me feel like I’m lying no matter what I do or say.

Anyways yeah this was long and dumb and honestly? I’m terrified to post it. Ive been struggling to get my words out all day and I’ve been posting like a madman. But I guess using my social media as an outlet for all my emotions I otherwise wouldn’t really have anywhere to put will do that.

Sorry if none of this made any sense, I’m really trying to not only understand myself, but also to then Describe that understanding to other people. And I’ve never been very good at having people understand me.

Thank you! I like the use of “enamoured”; I think people should use that term more. I get in my own head a lot about my tagging system for some stupid reason, so I do appreciate the compliment.

I’m surprised that there aren’t more red light district stimboards; I loved looking at the pretty lights there. Vibrant, flashy, and looping… It’s great GIF material.

I think I like glittery stims the best. I dislike when stimboards I enjoy are explicitly dedicated to a character I don’t know… I don’t interact with them because I don’t want fandom posts I’m not interested in being recommended to me, and I like my blog being very personal to me and the things I do like. It can be disappointing when most stimboards I come across are like this… I also hate when the OPs add their ugly DNI to every stimboard they make without caring to adjust the hues to avoid disturbing the visual cohesion.

I do have some stim toys, but I frequently misplace them. If it counts for anything, I used to eat wood; I actually ate several chunks out of my bunk bed as a child. I do still occasionally eat the wooden sticks you’re supposed to stir coffee with… It’s certainly more of a texture thing than a taste thing. I love biting the plastic they coat electrical wires with too, but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who values their life at all in any way… In terms of actual fidget/stim toys, I like those hard balls with moving glitter inside them the most. I do also like the soft balls that you can squeeze, but only specific ones… I like the ones that are slower to return to their original shape and have a thicker outer layer. I don’t like the little ones with multiple balls inside them; they feel uncomfortable in my hands. I love shiny things, but they aren’t typically marketed as/considered stim toys… The same goes for pretty lights, but that’s complicated for me because certain frequencies of light hurt my eyes and confuse my head A LOT… I require a tint of some sort almost constantly.

I do plan to make more stimbords, but I’m not sure what the themes will be. I tend to prefer spontaneity when it comes to these things!

No no ok I’m just messing around, but I will try to walk you through my whole process! 😅 I figure you might not be the only one interested so, what the hell. Prepare for rambling, sorry in advance.

obligatory disclaimer that there is no one way to make stimboards, you don’t have to follow my process, I might put too much effort into it or less effort than someone else does, stimboards are just for fun!!! make em’ however you want! These are just tips/how my brain works.

first of all: picking your themes!!

Surprise: They can be anything!!! And heck, a lot of stimboard themes are just ‘purple cleancore’ or ‘food in pink and blue’, and those are pretty self explanatory. But a lot of the boards I happen to make are themed around characters, and it can be a little tricky to pick your themes!

First of all, I would recommend picking a color palette to try and stick to. Let’s pretend I’m making a Loki stimboard so I’ll probably go with green, gold and black.

You can chose any themes to go with those colors!! Like I could do a Loki stimboard with themes of lovecore and soft things or whatever. But if I’m not going off of anything specific, I usually try really hard to pick some cool themes to match the character. (Of course, you don’t need to do this,, it’s just for me I think it’s a lot cooler to have gifs that fit the character/subject rather than just random slime and stuff). So like, idk, maybe for Loki I want knives, snakes, fancy stuff, all that jazz! But again, it doesn’t matter too much, I just like to isolate those things!

Then you can just search for all your gifs and save them 😌 I usually try to dive pretty deep and try plenty of searches until I get a nice collection to chose from. (But then again I get overwhelmed by that sometimes, lmao). Important: please pretty please find your sources directly via tumblr, and try your very best to locate the original gifset or at least check that the links on a stim board actually lead back to the og creator! Google and Pinterest can be very unreliable places to find stims with actual sources - you have a whole organized system of blogs to search from right here. And please save your sources as you are looking - I save them right to my drafts, but you can save them anywhere you want as long as you keep ‘em.

And yeah, it’s really not that complicated but I’m extra so that’s how I go about it 😅

second: putting the darn thing together

Super simple!! The only hard part sometimes can be picking what gifs you want to include (I definitely struggle sometimes, lol. Nine gifs can be so limiting 😭 damn you tumblr!)

Hot Tip™️: ✨pretty arrangements✨

A big thing you might notice is that, in my opinion at least!! Stimboards tend to look a lot nicer if you organize them in a satisfying, even way! Of course you don’t have to do this, just throwing that out there again - but I think it makes a more out-together looking board.

Usually, I’ll kind of group certain gifs together based on color, theme, kind of stim, ect, and then try to arrange the board so that it’s ‘even’ and looks nice to me.

Some examples of what I mean (using colors to show different themes):

Again, not necessary, but a personal preference!

Also important detail I almost forgot to mention: Another thing that I just think makes everything look way nicer.. Try your best to make sure all your gifs are square so you don’t have like, awkward skinny rectangles in there. You can use a website like ezgif.com or something similar to crop gifs and edit them in other ways!

And that’s about it!!

Oh, but one more thing….

INCLUDE THE SOURCES OR I STEAL YOUR KNEECAPS

Ok that’s all ☺️ no but seriously, it’s very easy and takes two seconds. Most people link them with little x’s or emojis or whatever, but you can do it however you want, as long as they’re easily available. For adding links to text/emojis, you can add them by highlighting the text in question and clicking the little link symbol 🔗 that pops up next to the other text editing features. Make sure to double check that all your links are working, finish up however you please, and you’re ready to post!!

hi! my name is frankie and i will make you a board. requests are open!

working on: 4 stimboards

i take moodboard and stimboard requests for any theme including characters, ocs, animals, songs, and other concepts! (this is a very welcome place for introjects, those who kin, and those with DAs)

i only need to know the theme and whether you want a moodboard or stimboard! other things to help you get what you want may include number of images (width by length), predominant colors, extra themes, and what you don’t want included! you can also request special formats or anything else special, and i’ll do my best to help out! (moodboards and stimboards with certain special formats will be whole images without the individuals posted--please request if you want the individuals posted in regular format too) if you would like a special piece of art or image, submit it to me, dm me, or include the specifics of where i can find it in the ask. thank you!

- Fandoms I won't make edits for: Youtuber fandoms (MCYT, BBS, etc.) Countryhumans Hetalia I have little to no issues with the people in these communities, I just don't feel comfortable making edits for these communities due to very personal reasons.

- Themes I won't make edits for: Realistic eyes Characters with too many eyes (more than 4) Bugs and Spiders (Muffet from Undertale is the only exception) Romantic canon x canon ships involving Tohru Adachi from Persona 4. (Adachi x Dojima, Adachi x Izanami, etc.)

- I support critical consumption of media. That being said, I do not tolerate romanticization or glorification of dark topics and other things pro//shippers like to do. I will never do edits of ships involving an adult x a minor or incest, and you will be blocked immediately if you make requests for such things.

- You are free to request specific images, but you may never request edits of characters involving fanart. I refuse to edit other artist's work, even if they allow edits / reposts of their work. If that character does not have any official artwork, then I will not make an edit for that character. (Sorry Phone Guy / Dude fans 😔)

- You are free to edit my edits and post those re-edits, especially if you are the requester and my work did not live up to your expectations or I got something wrong. But please, always credit me as the original maker of the edit.

- You are NOT free to re-post my original edit, especially without credit! Using them as icons and page decorations on other websites or Discord is perfectly fine, but do not just reupload my work and claim it as your own. "Credit to the artist" is not acceptable either.

- Do NOT repost anything to DeviantArt, Toyhouse, or Amino. On sites like Toyhouse, I have my own page where I host these images. If you are using my images for your coding, then please use my page as your image source. (Uploading it to a private discord server used to store images is also fine.)

What I Make:

- Profile Icons Maximum of three icons per batch. Maximum of one character per icon. Matching icon requests are allowed. LGBT+ / MOGAI headcanon friendly. Please specify if you would like a specific size and / or if you want circle or square icons (both are okay)

- DeviantArt Stamps Maximum of 5 per request. Maximum of one character per stamp. Matching stamp requests are allowed. LGBT+ / MOGAI headcanon friendly. Please specify if you would like a certain border used (f2u only), otherwise I will default to this border.

- DeviantArt and / or Toyhouse Folder Icons Maximum of 4 per request Number of characters depends on the image(s) used. Sizes of the edits will vary due to different restrictions between the sites. (DA = 230x130 max. TH = 200x200 max.)

- Transparent Screenshot Edits Maximum of 2 characters per screenshotMaximum amount of screenshots per request varies depending on the complexity of the screenshots. Hard limit is 4. Either submit the screenshot or DM it to me. I don’t allow links to be sent to my ask box.

- Banners Maximum of 3 per request. Maximum of 2 characters per banner. Must provide an aesthetic or at least a color for me to work with. Please write out what you would like the banner to say / read. I can't write image descriptions, but you are free to make your own.

Uh hey so i had a question?? Maybe you could help idk but I'm having trouble finding a stim that works right now?? I don't have any stim toys but i normally find other things that work for me and i keep flapping my hands but it's not really helping?? Idk it's very frustrating and i feel like im trapped in my skin

Hey! Sorry i didn’t respond sooner but i totally get this. I definitely have times where i super need to stim but nothing feels right or works and it’s so so frustrating. I didn’t have any stim toys either till a couple years ago and even now i just have some fidget spinners, a fidget cube, and a chew necklace. i’m gonna list some stims i do or stim with besides those and hand flapping (which i do a lot too) and hopefully it’s helpful for you. warning: this is wayyyyy too long and has way more information then you asked for but finally got those adhd meds again so i’m like oh can’t stop typing (typing stim right there).

(p.s. if you or anyone ever wants to talk or ask about neurodivergent stuff feel free to i’m always happy to talk about or help and my inbox and dms are always open)

chewing: i chew on stuff a lot to stim (even though it’s like the worst stim for my tmj) and sometimes find myself eating stuff just to move my mouth. but mostly i chew on my shirt collar a lot or just have it in my mouth a lot of the time, i also love gum and hard candies but tic tacs are my favorite but i end up eating a whole container of them when i have them because i just love chewing them. also uncooked pasta is a favorite to chew on. i also sometimes chew on pens

listening: i listen to songs, tv episodes, and podcasts on repeat a lot like a lot a lot. i don’t like quiet most of the time or not really quiet because i can hear everything around me all the time but like i don’t really like that either so. i listen to my brother my brother and me like 24/7 i’ve listened to all the podcast episodes? like way too many times, i also listen to bojack or bob’s burgers a lot because i’ve also seen the episodes so many times i know exactly what’s happening in every scene, the music i listen to on repeat is either a single song or an album, so show yourself, rewrite the stars, words fail, etc or frozen ii, jatp, dear evan hansen albums. i also cover and uncover my ears a lot because i like the noise.

touching: i love feeling stuff mostly soft stuff so petting my cats or rabbit, feeling blankets, holding and rubbing stuffed animals

smell: i’m super sensitive to like 95% of smells but the smells i do like i can smell for hours and are big stim i’ve been doing for a long time specifically laundry detergent so i put my shirt over my nose a lot also my haunted mansion themed body wash is my favorite scent ever and so i just smell that and it really calms me

vocal: i don’t talk a lot i’m a fairly quiet person and could and have gone days without speaking but i can be loud and talkative when hyper or infodumping and have always stimmed a lot vocally. i hum a lot or just make noises or beats, i have a kind of odd vocal stim where i just kind of sing old mcdonald randomly (i don’t know why but i’ve done it for a while) and also echolalia, a lot of them are just weird and everyone around me is like please stop saying, “it’s not just food, it’s fourth meal” but i love echolalia i think it’s a super cool thing autistics do!

body stims/stuff with my hands: i rub my hands together, crack my knuckles, clap, drum with my hands on anything and everything (i was a percussionist in middle school band and have always loved the drums so) i also use pencils/chopsticks/paint brushes or anything and drum on tables or just air drum with imaginary drumsticks. i twirl my hair a lot and now that it’s longer i do little braids braiding is such a nice stim. i also do body stims that aren’t good for my joint hypermobility but like i just need to do them sometimes, such as doing circles with my wrist or ankle or hyperextending my elbow. one of my favorite stims i do and one i do mostly in public because i need room (and since covid and like barely ever leaving my house when i do go out i do it a lot) is i kind of jump up and lift one leg in the air and clap under my leg. that probably sounds weird and like it kind of is but whatever stims can be weird and that’s great! i also rock back and forth on my heals a lot.

visual: i’m not a person that gets into a lot of like stimboards and stuff because a lot of stim gifs aren’t stuff i like but my favorite stim gifs or videos are calligraphy writing ones, cooking/cake decorating, nail painting, and just food recipe videos. sometimes i’ll just end up in a wormhole on pinterest of food recipe vids, like they are never foods i could actually eat or ever need the recipe for but i just love watching them (except meat heavy ones i just don’t like looking at meat). also i love watching fandom video edits on instagram i have like a bajillion saved and watch them all the time. i also love love watching gifs of characters stimming and sometimes just go through my autistic collection to watch these gifs for hours.

random stims: one of biggest stims is playing with toy cars and toy skateboards. i just kind of roll them on my arms/hands/legs or tables. i actually take a mcdonald’s clone wars anakin skateboard toy like everywhere with me, and i love it i found it at my gramma’s house years ago and it’s become like a comfort item at this point and of course because of adhd i lose everything i touch so before i leave the house i’m always like where is my anakin skywalker skateboard. i also have a lightning mcqueen car that was my comfort stim toy before anakin and i still take him a lot of places too. i also love wear rings to stim with, i don’t have any like spinning rings or anything yet but i just like twisting them on my finger a lot, my favorite to do that with is my great grandmother’s spoon ring it’s the perfect thing to twist and i love it. i also like pressure stims sometimes if my body can handle it like putting couch cushions on me or my weighted blanket. i also just play with my pop socket a lot and use it so much i broke the top of it off but i don’t know what i would do without it.

sorry that was way too long and way too much information and i don’t even know if any of that was helpful at all but i really hope something was or it gave you an idea for a different stim. like i said before you can literally ask me about anything especially neurodivergent stuff.

moodboard of a fictional character with your head canon for if they’re trans or their sexuality (ex: a bisexual percy jackson or a ftm dipper pines moodboard)

ship moodboards (ex: drarry moodboard with gay draco and bi harry or ineffable husbands with wings

sexuality/trans stimboards (i can do a theme if you want. ex: bisexual stimboard or gender fluid stimboard with glitter and cake)
