okay but something about a major theme of 9-1-1 being that people can really thrive and be their best selves when they’re given the right environment
and lou indisputably doing the best acting we’ve ever seen from him in s7 of this show. giving layered, nuanced performances
lou saying that he’s usually typecast as a “beefcake” and isn’t given the opportunity to play deep characters
but also lou saying now that he’s playing tommy, people are seeing him for who he really is
because lou is hot, yes, very intentionally so—but he’s also sweet and sensitive and silly. and him getting to play any of that is such a rarity in his career so far. and tommy is all of that
something about tim seeing him in s2 and bringing him back because he remembered how charming he was. tim seeing potential in him to flourish and give this storyline the weight it needs
9-1-1 being a force for positive change not only within the show itself but also for its actors
why are jegulus authors the best wolfstar authors…. like stg they’re putting smth in their side wolfstar tag. every time i read a jegulus fic and it’s got background wolfstar and the author switches prospectives or has an epilogue for them it’s always the most scrumptious kicking screaming giggling wolfstar i’ve ever read. and they always NAIL their characterization ??? what is it
tbh i love writing a more perfect union quinlan vos he wants so hard to find this situation humorous but anakin is so thick that he is very close to wringing his damn neck like so:
Vos is lounging up against the door of his speeder when Anakin makes it out of the living area of Padmé’s apartments. The manufactured Coruscanti breeze stirs the long lines of his clothes, carrying away the thin smoke of the deathstick he’s got caught between his fingers.
Anakin’s scowl is automatic. “Obi-Wan doesn’t like it when people smoke those.”
Vos drops his hand from his mouth and gives Anaki a sardonic smirk. “Have you considered that some of us do not govern our lives based on what Obi-Wan Kenobi likes or dislikes?”
Anakin’s scowl deepens. “Well. They’re also bad for you.”
“Speaking of,” Vos says, nodding to the cloak clutched in Anakin’s hands. “That took less time than I thought. Your little marriage issue solve itself?”
“What? No.” Anakin thinks maybe he should warn Vos away from standing too close to the edges of landing pads while being an antagonistic asshole. That’s also bad for oneself. “What do you mean.”
Vos rolls his eyes like he isn’t twenty years older than Anakin. “Are you divorced, Skywalker? Realized you’ve been panting after the wrong person? Realized you’ve been sleeping in the wrong bed?”
Anakin’s back straightens and his grip tightens on his master’s cloak. “What? No! I’m not—she wasn’t serious about that.”
Vos has the nerve to look unconvinced, even slightly amused, as if he knows Anakin’s wife better than Anakin does.
“She wasn’t,” Anakin snaps. “We’re not getting divorced—and it’s–it was out of line for Obi-Wan to even suggest!” His anger is roaring back into focus, and Vos is a much better target than some poor caterer. “Even if he is upset because of the Council’s misunderstanding, we both share the guilt in that, don’t we? They’d never think we were together if he didn’t—if he wasn’t—”
The amusement slides off Vos’ face, and he drops the remainder of his death stick to the ground, stamping it out with the sole of his boot. “No, Skywalker,” he says, and his voice is quiet, but almost dangerous. “You don’t get to blame my best friend for you being such a shit husband that people don’t believe that you’re in love with your wife.”
I love when horror pages on Facebook showcase BTS of Billy in It Chapter Two. Yes I know this fact is not new, but I just love seeing him on my homepage!! 🥹😍❤️🤡🎈
Obligatory 'Elyse establishing bonds with one of Balgruuf's children' chapter, this time with Dagny! 😂 Lots of flowers in this chapter!!

Fic rating: E (for future content)
Fic relationships: Balgruuf the Greater/Female Dragonborn
Chapter description:
Elyse intends to spend the day relaxing in Dragonsreach, but finds herself spending time with Balgruuf's daughter instead.
Chapter excerpt:
The chill in the air was beginning to feel much less harsh as the month of Morning Star gave way to Sun's Dawn. Patches of ice still dotted the landscape across Whiterun, and rain was starting to become more frequent amidst the snow. Elyse was quite glad of that, as it meant that she didn't have to bundle up her clothing quite as much as she had been needing to as of late.
Her intentions for that day had simply been to rest, having recently been going into the city quite frequently to stretch her legs and make the most of the somewhat warmer temperatures. Those plans were very quickly put to a halt by the Jarl's daughter, who appeared to have been waiting for her to finish eating her breakfast and was stood directly in her path out of the Dragonsreach kitchens.
Dagny had her arms folded and a glower across her face as she stared up at her, her direct eye contact almost immediately unsettling Elyse.
“Well?”
Confusing her even more with the question, Elyse raised an eyebrow. “Well... what, exactly?”
Dagny scoffed quietly, and shook her head as if disappointed. “You spend time with Frothar. You spend time with Nelkir. You even spend time with Father! What about me?”
She remained still and silent for a moment, taking in what was said, before her face softened. “You could have just asked if you wanted to spend time with me… I don’t really have much planned for today beyond relaxing, so-“
“Good! That means that you can hang out with me then! Come on!” Dagny quickly took hold of her wrist, and began pulling her towards the stairs. “I know exactly what we can do – you need a makeover.”
Continuing with Dungeon Meshi (Manga) and I have to say I'm really charmed by it. The creator really seems to love her characters and the attention to detail from the cooking to the Dungeon geography is wonderful.
I also love how the characters interact with each other. The main group really feels like they care for each other and are so fun to see.
I understand ships are what makes Fandom spin, but no one mentioned how sweet the interactions with Marcille and Senshi can be or how Laios and Chilchuck are always looking out for each other.
Despite everything, they still trust each other and are willing to try anything to make sure all of them are safe. Or how Falin is the glue and the light that connected them all together.
just. when i think about the way that yagi toshinori transformed one for all and its purpose.
i'm on ch 305 rn, aka the izuku's-coma-slash-ethical-debate chapter, and just. it's really really striking me how much one for all, and the users' understanding of it, has evolved over history. We know that they didn't know it could be passed on until after Yoichi's death, and Banjo says that AFO tried to steal OFA from him and En twice, and failed both times, and I wonder if the users even knew it was unable to be stolen until Banjo figured it out.
It brings this moment from a previous chapter to mind:
"They weren't really chosen ones"--they were just trying to keep the quirk alive, even as they died. And it's kept alive because, as yoichi says in this chapter--
This quirk was an unwanted gift, followed by a mutation and a happy accident, and then, until Nana, it was kept alive to keep the fight against AFO going, with the hope of someday killing him at last.
And then along comes Yagi Toshinori.
It's so telling that Nana abandoned her son to keep him safe, but then this other kid tells her his dreams and plans for a safer society, and she gifts him with a death trap target on his back of a quirk in response.
I think i'm about a hundred chapters off from Toshinori's origin story, so I don't know the exact details of a lot of vestige stuff, but like. This quirk, up until now, has been passed on in desperation. But All Might inspired something in Nana so clearly that she made him a chosen one in a way that she and others before her never were.
And then he takes this quirk that has been kept alive specifically to kill one man, and he uses it to save. He uses it to transform society. And both he and that transformation had shortcomings. but that's another post because this post is about the vision of this man.
And all might is able to defeat one for all, able to become the number one hero, BECAUSE the users before him kept this quirk alive for him to be able to use to achieve his vision. And then here's what the successor Toshinori chose (another chosen one, the second of his kind) has to say when even Nana says that Shigaraki can't be saved:
Yagi's the only user of all for one that's not fully there in this meeting, but nonetheless, his presence is still SO loud.
It's so important to me that All Might didn't choose Izuku as a successor to defeat AFO. He chose him as a successor for his other vision for his quirk.
And Izuku's not All Might. He's a transformation himself, one that gets me all kinds of emotional, but that is ALSO another post. But the thing is, he's able to use this power to save in part because it was given to him in order to save people, not in order to kill. And that's because of Yagi Toshinori.
relistening to the ad dystopia episode and midway through, caspar's dialogue is just immediately followed by his va doing an ad read for netflix atla.. perfect. no notes.
Moon, a hole of light
Through the big top tent up high
Here before and after me
Shinin' down on me
Moon, tell me if I could
Send up my heart to you?
So, when I die, which I must do
Could it shine down here with you?
'Cause my love is mine, all mine
I love mine, mine, mine
Nothing in the world belongs to me
But my love mine, all mine, all mine
My baby, here on earth
Showed me what my heart was worth
So, when it comes to be my turn
Could you shine it down here for her?
Nothing in the world is mine for free
But my love mine, all mine, all mine
