During your courtship, Jiaoqiu makes you get snakes for his pharmacy. It's quite common for couples that include at least one Foxian to hunt together so he doesn't leave you to do it alone. But this is less for the sake of tradition and more for the sake of his amusement as you jump around in long grass, holding a viper behind its head and forcefully keeping it from biting your face or arm or leg and any other body part. You really sound a bit pitiful as you yelp, nearly stepping on another one before pouncing, shouting so loud there can't possibly be anything in the way of game left within a half-li radius, and stuffing it into the special basket he prepared for you. You don't complain even once, though you sniffle when you hand him the basket, so he doesn't tease you that much.

1 Year Anniversary of this Sideblog!

In honor of my 1 year anniversary, I will explain to you why at one point last year I referred to myself as "Volumnia Gaul if she didn't serve cunt" and that's because before going on vacation, Lu and I decided to basically do an experiment where she would post Felix Ravinstill drabbles (4 drabble variants using the strict definition of drabble totaling in 1,000 words for the whole set) that I wrote. The idea being that her posting them while I was away would stir up some people speculating that I was this author or people not thinking it could possibly be me due to being on vacation.

The idea was that there would be some intrigue around this, but not enough drama and intrigue to be a bad time for anyone. I gave Lu instructions that if people started somehow getting distressed over our little stunt to just admit to the whole thing.

Unfortunately, I think the major downfall to my plan is no one really checks the Felix tag besides me, so to my knowledge, no one in my circle really saw these fics.

Anyway, if any of you saw this, yeah, that was me.

I'm sorry but pls be so real right now. there are way too many people surprised that a girl with Down Syndrome was put in that arena. Literally look at our laws RIGHT NOW about what kinds of support or protection disabled people have in the country. There are places legally allowed to use over powered cow prods on disabled people

disabled people weren't allowed out in public until RECENTLY. Disabled people can't get married without potentially losing the little benefits they get. We have to fight for Bare Minimum accessibility at all times. The Holocaust was jump started as a solution of removing disabled people who "drained resources". Disabled people are sterilized against their will or without being told. Disability pay literally is not enough to live on and it's engineered that way

it is absolutely, one hundred percent, not surprising in the Least. President Snow isn't some special kind of monster to put a disabled girl in that arena. Most politicians today would do it within a blink of an eye sorry lol

for those unaware, imagine a dude who is constantly a damsel in distress, and terrified a lot of the time but still does what he thinks is right. and a girl who is his stoic and staunch protector, very much down to flirt/get physically affectionate, puts the dude's wellbeing above her own, and is a witch who primarily uses fire and bursts into flames (also they were childhood friends but for some reason dude doesn't remember it). also the dude's got his own sorta fire powers and a lot of people are after him, but dw about that :)

People joke about ADHD all the time, even swear up and down they totally think they also have it, but then if you ask for an accommodation, to please please please provide things in fucking writing, EXACTLY what they want and need, you will even work it out WITH them, like they promised they would do — repeatedly over and over, and then you don't get it people really will fucking be like:

I am using the incorrect bathroom (TM) to place my shelving and store my things. Homegirl literally removed various sundries and toiletries from a CLOSED CABINET and SHELF because she's interested in boundaries and accountability for my mess.

I said months ago I wanted to improve things for her comfort level and needed a written list of what precisely that fucking looked like in order to achieve it and not miss anything she deemed important. I explained how ADHD works, why I needed a written reference. Why I had to have it laid out, and if something needed changing we needed to write it all out. I would've made the list myself, but they said they would make it for the whole house to hold up their end of things. And, thinking this was a very reasonable adult solution to keeping the house in good shape, I said okay, come up with the list of expectations and what is needed and that way we can update how we handle chores. Awesome. I will do that to uphold my end.

No list ever gets made or drafted or anything despite my bringing it up, knowing we need to do it, but I DO get berated for failing to meet expectations and boundaries that were never fucking provided or delivered and include "don't store toiletries in this particular bathroom because I don't like it."

I can't believe I am a goddamn adult who gets treated like an idiot child for expecting adult communication instead of snide ass passive aggressive bullshit and basic respect for my things.

Because when I fucking get home, my shelving has been removed and a cabinet emptied of my things and placed in the "correct" bathroom.
