reddit keeps sending me to a subreddit all about complaining abt taylor swift and like. i don't believe in ethical billionaires and i think she's not a good person and i disagree with a lot of her actions. but man you guys are not winning the "we are not misogynists" war when every other post is just "lol she sucks at singing and her clothes are ugly and i hate her hair and all she does is whine and complain" with no actual critique of like. her actions. the way she treats her fans. her constant money grabbing. her reliance on a thin shield of performative feminism without even the most basic speaking up to back it. her refusal to acknowledge genocide. her refusal to back down on her personal impact on climate change re her private jet usage. saying lol she's ugly is not the same as those things and you are not cool for saying it.

#i just. there are so many things to complain about with her rn.#her overexposure. the money grab that is the variants #the chart manipulation. the way she treats other artists #especially young female artists she perceives as a threat #the way she's handled things like the vienna threats and the death of Ana Clara Benevides Machado #she's manipulative and slef-focused while pretending to be selfless #she acts like any critique of her even those that have merit and are based in fact #are just attacks based on her gender #she acts like her status as a literal billionaire white woman extremely popular pop star #doesn't give her any privelage #but none of that has anything to do with. her sense of style (i think her outfits are fun)#i think she has a nice voice and most of her lyrics (discounting the last two albums which are. bad to me.)#are good! she's a good storyteller and her music might be basic in terms of musical theory but it's pretty #she doesn't have a huge range and by god is it obvious this tour is hurting her voice #but her voice is nice #you are all just. mean. and unproductive. and absolutely not proving the swifties wrong. you are critiquing her #for things that have nothing to do with what she actually does that is wrong or gross or bad #who cares if she wants to wear a sexy outfit? who cares if it's not your personal taste? it's clothes and she can do what she wants #anyway. this post brought to you by somebody who does not like taylor swift but does think people take the hate too far in a bad way

The way people are responding to Taylor Swift's new album because they don't think she is tortured or mentally ill enough to call it that is fucking embarrassing.

God forbid an artist ever exaggerates for artistic purpose. God forbid a celebrity writes about pain or suffering if they haven't experienced the maximum amount of trauma in their life.

I mean, everyone knows the moment you become a celebrity all your human experience disappears and you elevate to a new level of existence where you cannot have relatable experiences anymore for the rest of your life.

somehow while ive been going through the unbearable torment nexus ive still been able to keep up with my album-a-day-for-a-year thing so far

#like yeah brother i wish i was dead right now but im not. somehow i havent killed myself so i keep checking out albums #but i dont wanna undermine that im in unbearable pain rn lmao #my therapist said that wasnt good for me to pretend #im very much still in a torturous life and i feel helpless cause i dont think i can ever escape #but at least ive had the motivation to keep up one thing yknow #or im just crazy and psychotic and this made no sense whatever im going back to my suffering hibernation now #at the very least being honest cant hurt even if it doesnt help all that much but im really at the lowest ive ever been my dudes #ive never been lower than this #im failing at all the aspirations of a healthy person but at least im keeping up on the album thing #i know that maybe doesnt seem significant to other people #but when the only thing i can do when i get off work so i dont die of starvation is get in bed #but i still make an effort to hold myself to this commitment #thats at least a tiny bit of light im trying to put in my life no matter how hard i just wanna lay down and die all the time

(how revealing!!)#also i feel like 39 should have a music video but i don't have anything to do it with. ):#i hope that ONE DAY my music shall exude. vampiric dissociative death spiral. a creature at the heart of the forest screaming secrets #but also just a boy who is tired of pretending at the end of it all. track 09 is just so intensely that.#i think my favorite song on the album is 39. which is ironic because it's about the one thing i don't tell people.#but it's so good i don't know. visceral. reflective of my style perhaps ?#there's a ticking metronome in the background that penetrates your ears and hurts you ! ! ! ! !#and i don't bother trying to be poetic. i use my long and tangled words and i make them vulgar and violent.#i also like affections & apologies because it's the opposite. it's sweeter. most importantly it's for ciel. that's what matters. {:#afterwards i plan on releasing a song composed entirely of poetic nonsense.
