"All his rules for butterflies and birds. He treated me like a light thing. Loving things loosely and then letting them go."

Always the beggar for his love. I was like the desperate ocean, wearing away at him. The ceaseless questioning of the tide to the shore that I heard from our bedroom window all winter long. Asking, Do you love me? Do you love me?

A single glass of white could recall oysters and brine and lovers' spit and citrus fruits and sunburn, a glass of red grass and dirt and blackberry, blackberry, blackberry. Like the line from the poem Jude read aloud to me that afternoon in my concrete backyard, the pavement cracked with weeds, while we sat on the chipped garden furniture eating prosciutto with pearls of melon, smoked salmon with crème fraiche, cheese layered on thick crusts of bread, truffle honey, strong black coffee.

Quote
Jude thought we should be like a gift to each other, but I longed to be essential. That was love, I decided, as our intimacy changed and deepened over the course of the year. Not being able to do without. Wanting--that was just desire, fluid and changeable as the tide. Need was real love, the truest kind I'd known, born as it is out of what we lack, and that was how I felt about Jude back then--that he completed me, we completed each other, as in the old myth about the origin of love. And if I was essential, the other half of whatever he was, then he could never abandon me.

GUESS WHO ROLLED 💀 C’MON, C’moNNN, I CouLDN’t NOT rOLL FOR tHEM (and they were very yasashii, only 30 rolls each)!
AHHHHHHHHHH, THEy’RE pERFECG t
It was bothering me all these years that Jade and Floyd’s Dorm Uniform artworks don’t perfectly align to form a single cohesive image, so I’m so glad that the Mermaid Fin SSRs fix that!! Side by side like this, they look so devious and beautiful 😭

AND THE GROOVIES?????? HE LL o??????
bgjsvsjzvskwn!fahacwhwn ?-,-(~}#(FGrwnwjahGhhfqjjq I was right to anticipate that we wouldn’t get the twins crying (similar to Ortho and Sebek)… The Leeches are not super sentimental types unlike Kalim and Rook. That doesn’t make their Groovies or the context for it any less cool though!!
The color contrast is so interesting??? It makes the twins look way more blue than they usually are, and their bioluminescence (which can be turned on/off for their live 2D models) lends a new dimension to the art. The dynamic movement, the water droplets flying everywhere, the fins, THEIR fERAL EXprESSIONS???????? Jade’s being more cold and Floyd just totally unhinged, both so merciless as they beat the crap out of their opponent 😭
For anyone wondering, Jade and Floyd appear in their terrestrial forms by default when sent to Lessons. You can set them to eel forms though, which yields… hilarious results 🤡 Witness their l e n g t h

I’m sick of people passing off patronizing and condescending commentary about how naive and impressionable women are as useful and educational. These people will base their analysis of fiction on sexist notions about how easily women are “tempted “ by malevolent villains and then act as if that’s some revolutionary take. They’ll unironically construe the narrative in a way that takes away all agency from the female heroine and frame her decisions as entirely the result of the villain’s manipulation.
They wring their hands about how dangerous it is for women to be exposed to these stories and moan about how terrible it is that hot villains appeal to the “baser instincts” and tempt female viewers further (Yes, I actually saw someone make this argument) It’s truly bizarre to see people agreeing with such patronizingly sexist rhetoric and saying things like “I miss the days when villain romances were cautionary tales and not encouraged.” As if women thirsting after attractive fictional villains is some epidemic that threatens society.
It’s especially irritating when women are the ones saying these things. They want to believe that they are a rare exception that, unlike those other brainless girls, can understand that liking hot villains will threaten their morals and lead them astray…OH THE HORROR!! Please save your dramatic preaching for the next purity conference and stop pretending that your sanctimonious commentary has any substance whatsoever.

It never really goes away, the longing for the life not lived, because isn’t that part of how we come to know ourselves too? Through what we lack as much as what we have, all we dream but do not hold. Some desires have no resolution.

ok today I actually used my gram scale to measure out 10 grams of salt when I got up in an attempt to eat that much during the day (recommended dose for POTS patients [not medical advice, different for each patient]) and they were not wrong that salt is in fact hitting

here's hoping canon doesn't end up shipping any of the fallen heroes with each other because i've already built up an entire found family sibling dynamic for their past selves inside of my head. eternal sugar's the youngest, mystic flour the oldest (shadow milk may seem like the leader atm but his middle child energy is THERE). silent salt takes on the responsibility of keeping the group out of trouble (it's tricky, but they've grown accustomed to their friends' antics). burning spice declares themselves the others' biggest protector (they will throw hands with anyone who so much as glances at their siblings friends the wrong way). eternal sugar & shadow milk are so good at making everyone smile and laugh but also they're absolute gremlins who can and will start a ridiculously extreme prank war on a whim (shadow is not subtle in the slightest and cackles at the top of his lungs, sugar plays innocent while sporting the most devious smirks known to cookiekind). mystic flour is like a mentor to the younger four, the glue that holds them together and the light that guides them towards staying on the right track. spice & shadow regularly fight each other on and off their training grounds as a weird way to show affection, flour & salt pretend to be exasperated but find it endearing, they all value each other so much and share a house together while still protecting earthbread. they're entirely platonic and entirely family and until their soul jam corrupts, they care about each other more than anything <33

Volkner bet Roark 20 bucks he wouldn't accept the deal to appear in Trainers magazine. Little did he know, there are very few things in this world that Roark wouldn't do in the name of a crisp 20 dollar bill.

Miracutwats roast pt. 13:
Well well well! More criminal behaviors and charges are coming in by the writers’ versions of the characters! I’m referring to the glazed and hated characters used so far! If you know you know!
Recklessness (writers that don’t properly tag their shit or give warnings leading to their asses getting blocked and characters making errors leading to their downfall)
Refusing to take responsibility or see reason
Public Disturbance aka causing a scene
Racism and Prejudice (a few salters write Lila as anti-Asian in their fics?)
Close mindedness aka tunnelvision
Stupidity
Verbal and Physical Bullying
Intent to cause harm/injury
Social Isolation
Conspiracies to drive someone to off themselves
Embezzlement of funds and financial crimes (Lila is the culprit, often painted as this gold digging monster who only cares about latching onto rich men, also manipulating ppl into giving her money by claiming she works or a charity)
Hacking
Sending Viruses to computers
Doxxing
Harassment
Stalking
Homicide
Attempted S’A or S’A that already happened (yea some writers rly took it to that low low level on the characters... most likely for shock value and/or just to make those ppl look worse in their eyes)
Anti Asian Lila? Well that’s something new I learned today of Miraculous Fanfic Writers With The Plague.
Ah yes. Gold Digging Thirst they like assigning specifically to Lila. Just another form of that Lila only wants fame and fortune and Adrien as a trophy people came up with from like nowhere spread it around and took as divine/permanent truth and latched onto it.
Them miracutwats do love being egregious scabbies. Miracusturbances scared of removing their tunnel vision to take responsibility. Maybe they don’t want to see their ugly faces in the mirror because they don’t want to accept their collective worthless discourse.
Perhaps they want deny that they became, are rivaling, or are far worse than whatever they hated and went out their ways against and continued or still continue. Could be that they secretly want to be who they strongly loathe but don’t see they already surpassed them long ago or they truly believe they are doing a noble deed.
Sometimes I wonder how do people just do this to themselves, from start to finish?
