I'm a going bit crazy from this scene where Daniel confronts Armand about San Francisco in 2×06. Why was the memory erasure the first thing Armand apologized for? Not the torture or the murder attempt. He literally said "I'm sorry I made you forget this experience you had, Louis thought it was necessary too. Oh yeah, I guess I'm also sorry for almost killing you".

You could say it's a conscious attempt to gaslight and minimize the damage he caused. Or you could say that while he does try to deflect the blame, his main regret is making Daniel forget. Which could mean nothing.

it's also huge to me that the memory loss is the thing that daniel is more upset about. it's almost like approximately 12 years after the first time he erased your memories he did it again and this time when he did it the memories were just that more treasured to you and now that you've remembered he's erased your memories you're unexpectedly devastated and you don't know what to do about that, but the least you can do is demand an apology

I strongly agree that there are world events that deserve much more news coverage and resources than the Titan because frankly it should’ve been immediately assumed they were dead when sonar couldn’t find them and communication was lost.

However, I don’t necessarily think it’s fair to compare the EU coast guard and the US and Canada's various first response teams that responded to the Titan. Because they’re separate entities.

Do I think people should care more about the refugee ship that capsized due to alleged incompetence of the coast guard? Yes. I do. And I hope more survivors can be found because that was a genuine tragedy.

Do I think that it should be getting the same kind of attention as the Titan? Not really. For DID *alone* the barrier to diagnosis is very high- arguably as high as Autism and according to one study it takes an average of 10 years in therapy to be diagnosed because so many doctors are ill-informed or refuse to diagnose it/believe it exists despite all the evidence due to the shadow of the satanic panic. The goddamn REASON people are diagnosed in their 30s and 40s isnt because you *need* to wait that long its because they look for horses before zebras and refuse to do anything else most of the time and fuck us over!!! Many of us report symptoms -the same fucking symptoms- since teen&young adult age or earlier!!!

The diagnosis has many of the same drawbacks of any other major diagnosis like autism and schizospec stuff where you can lose custody of children or the ability to adopt, face unofficial discrimination from doctors or employers or people you try to get accommodations from with it, and could even have your drivers license taken away or have to jump through hoops to keep it- and more issues!

Pursuing a paper diagnosis is not for everyone and the plural community for decades has been built on this- even before the exclusion criteria were added to the DSM and ICD that kicked a huge chunk of us of us off even getting one despite being systems (which is a good thing to be clear! If its not impairing or distressing it shouldnt be pathologized!). We have folk therapy and dyi resources and we have a lot of them for a reason.

And thats not even getting into how therapy has historically severely abused our community and how the only accepted treatment path is pursuing the fusion into one person (which has a hilariously low success rate that for anything else wouldnt be accepted as a vaild treatment) and not everyone wants that or is helped by that.

Most of us are never going to be ABLE see useful therapy or a paper dx, so we use the community to find resources and community and it FUCKING WORKS. We built our community with our own blood, sweat, and tears because no one else could or would fucking help us. And it WORKS.

Attacking these people who self-dx ONLY ever causes splash damage on the very people this kind of behavior claims to protect.

And like. If someone reports an autonomous entity that talks in their mind and takes over their body sometimes its... rather obvious they belong in the 'having an autonomous entity that talks in your mind and takes over your body sometimes' community regardless of anything else. NB4 people say psychosis; Schneiderian First-Rank symptoms are actually more indicative of DID than schizophrenia in this manner according to studies- but schizospec people with persistent personlike voices are known to benefit from the same exercises you'd do if they were ''''real'''' alters and are included in the plural community anyway (which btw doesnt require a dx- calling yourself plural or a system is not self diagnosing its an identity label the community created OUTSIDE of diagnosis criteria FOR this very purpose of self-ID).

While yes, we would agree many people say DID For Sure when they might want to hesitate there- we do NOT doubt they are plural. We just wonder if they were told the ONLY way they could be plural/a system is through DID and that is why they are saying they have it. Which... yeah thats not so great. HOWEVER informed self-dx is fine provided they havent been fed that kind of misinformation.

The solution there though is to just spread the real information about the breadth of plural experiences and people will feel less pressured. Simple as that.

Never EVER telling them its really just something else, you dont know yourself- you cant know something that extreme when something that extreme is EASIER to tell tbh because its such a unique and intense experience.

With the wedding coming up, Cillian and you made even more of an effort to remain on good terms than you ever did before. While he was away, filming the Peaky Blinders Movie, you video called him so that Mara could see her daddy every day.

Every day, before she went to bed, you allowed Cillian to read her a story over the webcam, whenever he was able to.

It was a small gesture that meant a lot to Mara, and it helped her and Cillian to maintain a connection despite the distance.

Your therapist welcomed the positive communication and reminded you that you were doing an implacable job by keeping him involved even despite his busy schedule. 

During that time, you also noticed a slight change in Cillian's behavior. He seemed more relaxed, more at ease with himself, and with you. 

"So, what's the plan for Mara's birthday next week?" he asked one evening when he skyped in from London.

"I was thinking a party actually. She has been at daycare twice a week and made some friends. I was going to invite them and their parents. My mum, Siobhan and Emma are coming too, and I think even your mum is driving down from Cork. I also invited two friends from my mother's group," you said, filled with enthusiasm for Mara's big day.

Cillian chuckled, his eyes filled with warmth. "Sounds like you got everything planned out," he said, sounding genuinely pleased. 

"You know it would be nice for Mara if you could come,"  you added, hoping that he might be able to make the trip.

"I would love to," he said, "but you know I can't leave the set, Y/N. I have a busy schedule filming and I'm just hoping that things will ease up a bit in the next couple of weeks," Cillian said with sadness in his voice. 

You couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment, but you knew that filming was important for Cillian's career.

"I know, but what I am saying is that you are more than welcome to come if you wanted to," you repeated, looking him straight in the eyes through the camera.

"And I appreciate that, really," he nodded, taking a deep breath. "But I still need to wrap up this movie." 

"I understand," you said softly, biting your bottom lip. "And, you know, you can always celebrate with her when you come back by taking her to the zoo or something. She probably won't remember the party anyway, but she will also remember the zoo," you chuckled, seeing how it was Mara's favorite place to go these days. 

"You are probably right you know," Cillian conceded, his expression softening even further. "Now, did you call the carpenter to fix up the shelving in the living room? I told him that you would call and to invoice for it. You might need that done before the party," he continued, seeing how one of the built in shelves had collapsed after you tried to carry out some DYI work on it. 

"No, he can't do it until the week after next, but Sean offered to fix it for me before the party which is nice,"  you informed him, noticing how Cillian's expression changed for a second.

"Sean, huh?" Cillian chuckled; his expression unreadable but you could hear a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Don't start, Cillian! Don't fucking start!" you shot back with irk, already feeling the familiar burn in the pit of your stomach.

"I didn't even say anything," Cillian smirked, his eyes glimmering as he studied your reaction.

"Then why are you acting the way you are when I bring up his name?" you asked, rolling your shoulders back, trying to release some tension in your body.

"I'm not. It's none of my business who you spend your time with so long as you keep Mara out of it," Cillian growled, scratching the back of his neck impatiently.

"You know what, I was actually thinking about inviting him to the party, as a friend of course and only if you would allow it. Because he has been a big help those last few days, running errands for me for her party while I was sitting my exams and he asked me whether he could come," you told Cillian nonchalantly, secretly enjoying his reaction.

"Oh, did he now?" Cillian said with a sigh as he adjusted the display setting. "So, you two are getting more serious then?" he enquired  without looking at you.

You could tell he was slightly irritated, he clearly didn't want to give you the satisfaction of seeing it on his face.

"Well, we are still taking things slow and we not being too serious about it. We agreed on no labels, but I still only consider him as a friend, with benefits,"  you replied, being brutally honest while watching Cillian's reactions closely.

"So poor Sean is still in the friend zone then, eh?"  Cillian quipped, the corner of his mouth curling into a slight smirk before he quickly hid it.

You noticed it, and it stung a little, but you tried not to let it get to you.

"Yes," you confirmed, doing your best to maintain a neutral expression. "He has been very supportive and helpful lately and I like having him around, but there is no pressure between us. We are both free to see other people. That's the way it is for now."

Cillian nodded, turning his gaze back to the camera. "Fair enough and thank you for clarifying your relationship status for me. I just hope he knows that too, because I am not the one who needs convincing Y/N," Cillian said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice.

"Whatever Cillian. Can you just give me an answer?"  you asked, your patience wearing thin.

Cillian's smirk faded, to be replaced by a look of annoyance. "What do you want me to say, Y/N? I don't want Sean around my daughter," he said firmly.

You let out a frustrated sigh. "Why not? He is a decent person and Mara won't even know who he is. There are other people there who are no more than friends either and there most certainly won't be any public display of affection," you argued , trying to reason with him.

Cillian sighed deeply, knowing that he couldn't win this argument. "Fine. He can come, but only if you make sure that nothing happens between the two of you that Mara might see, at least not until you are serious about him which, it clearly seems, will never happen," he relented , eliminating any obvious doubts in your mind.

Your mind began working overtime to decide a strategic approach to the situation. On one hand, you were glad that Cillian was allowing Sean to attend the party, but on the other hand, the caveat gave you a sense of unease. 

You explained the situation to Sean on your next date when your mother was looking after Mara and, much to your surprise, he was very understanding about it.

"My parents separated when I was twelve Y/N. I get it, so don't worry, okay? I don't even have to come. I can help you set up and then leave before Mara and your mum arrive," Sean suggested, trying to make things as easy as possible for both of you.

"I really appreciate that Sean, but I don't want you to feel like you have to leave on my account, especially since you have been helping me so much those last few days," you  told him sincerely.

"And I like helping you Y/N, because I know that being a single mum can be hard. Your ex hasn't really been making an effort to be here for Mara lately, so if I can do anything to help, I will," Sean replied with conviction.

"Cillian is away filming. That's his job Sean," you explained wearily, wondering if he had brought this up to upset you or validate his actions. 

"I know, but he should really make an effort to be there for his daughter's first birthday, don't you think?"  Sean queried, a hint of frustration coloring his voice.

"Maybe, but it's not my place to say or judge what he does, because he is still looking after us both," you responded, attempting to defuse the tension that had suddenly risen between you. "So, lets change the topic shall we?" you suggested, trying to keep the mood light and pleasant.

"She said she just wants to be friends and I don't even want her to meet you guys because I am worried that I will look like a fool when she decides to go back to  her ex," Sean sighed, sitting down on the couch in his apartment, feeling frustrated. "I mean, how am I seriously going to compete with someone like him, a famous fucking Hollywood actor?" Sean mumbled to himself as he paced around his apartment. 

"You may not be able to, but she may also just play hard to get, which is what a lot of women seem to do these days," Mark reminded him thoughtfully as he watched Sean struggle with his thoughts. "Maybe you should focus on being the best version of yourself for your sake and not for hers, and then she will soon see if you are right for her or not," Mark added with a raised eyebrow. "Or you could find something that makes her ex look really bad. He is famous enough, so surely, with the right help, you can dig up some dirt," Mark suggested with a sly grin and Sean's brow furrowed as he contemplated Mark's words, his mind racing with ideas of how he could ruin Cillian for you, once and for all. 

"Maybe I should try, yeah, but I don't want to fight dirty. Despite, I don't even know him or anyone who hangs out with him other than Y/N herself," he said, his morals preventing him from considering such a devious course of action.

"Well, let me help you then," Mark offered, pulling out his phone and conducting a quick online search. "I work for the Irish Times after all," his friend smirked,  focusing on the task at hand.

color and killer should go out to do couple dyi decoden phone cases together (totally not inspired by what me and my partner did down below 🙂🙂🙂)

Yes! Totally. I remember seeing vids about people making these phone cases like a year ago, and thinking they’d love doing this together.

I’m also of the opinion that, when they’re humans or more humanoid, they’d also make jewelry out of eachother’s hair like the Victorians used to do. Especially if Color has any left over hairs from when he inevitably had to cut his hair soon after his escape from the Void.

And like maybe someone made the hair into a bracelet for Color, maybe Epic, and Color gave it to Killer back when Killer was still trapped under Nightmare. So he can have a reminder that everything happening between them is actually real and happening, because he’s starting to loose his grasp and certainty on it the longer Nightmare’s missions and abuse and trafficking go on.

That, or Killer cut off a lock of his own long hair (probably with a knife) and gave it to Color as a “gift” (one of his many creepy gifts in an attempt to test and scare Color probably), but Color just had it turned into jewelry right beside his own hair bracelet. So Killer decides, “if you get a piece of me, I get a piece of you,” then stole the jewelry that was made from Color’s hair.

I've thought about doing dyi hrt a lot, but I'm not sure how I'll live afterwards, with f in all my legal documents. I could theoretically change it outside my country and then come back, but I'm currently in uni so idk how they'll react to this maneuver, also my family and friends etc etc. How did you go about it? Have you changed your gender marker?

it's illegal to transition here as well so i didn't change anything... but to be fair while technically i am transmasc my exact gender is like. a he him girl who's really oily. so i wasn't planning on changing my documents anyway

as for the family and friends — while it is very scary to think about it..... you're going to be scared forever. might as well do something you really want. and you can stop anytime! also get better friends. there's a whole world out there and it loves you and it wants you to be happy while looking at yourself

Giving = Words of affirmation, mostly giving reassurance to the person he loves because the fact that he can be someone they find comfort in and can rely on makes him confident in being able to take care of them.

Receiving = Words of affirmation again, but ones that praise him with a genuine sincerity and love. It makes him feel good about himself. Ultimately he just wants someone to rely on as well. Give and take!

Both = Quality time. He just wants to be around someone he can have a genuine nice time with without worrying about it getting boring or being judged. Although he prefers being more active he also doesn’t mind relaxing and joking around, talking about life or things he usually wouldn’t think about alone.

Giving = Acts of service! He personally feels content and comfortable with knowing no one can take better care of the person he loves better than he himself. It’s not from an egoistic standpoint, it just makes him feel good to be needed. He also might gain happiness from the thought of his loved one being as comfortable in life as possible.

Receiving = Words of affirmation! He likes praises and little things that show that his loved one actually cares about him and wants him around. Like remember his favourite things even if he only mentioned it once and complimenting it, or simply reassuring him when he feels down or nervous.

Both = Physical touch and gifting. Jay is the kind of person who has a lot of love in his heart so he wants to express it as much as possible within the comfort of his person’s boundaries. Although he does prefer physical touch more. The kind of person that will have a hand on his loved one as long as they are close enough. As for gifting if he is serious about the relationship and knows it’s going to last he might buy expensive gifts ocassionally but he prefers ones that reflect thoughtfulness and effort put into it. So art or dyi is more preferable by him.

Giving = Word of affirmation, but rather than in a deep and life changing way he prefers to flirt. He might like to see his loved one blush, even hide their face behind their hand or in his arm/shoulder due to how shy they get. At the end it’s really the reaction that he enjoys, knowing his words have an effect on the person he loves since it means they share the same feelings and they absolutely cannot deny it since their face gives them away.

Receiving = Physical touch. He loves the feeling of just being close to someone without the need for words or sexual tension to be present, but to just innocently share each others bodies with one another. Through cuddling, holding hands, hugging and so on. To him it symbolises trust and he has a lot of appreciation in his heart towards the fact that someone can find so much comfort in him that they feel safe enough to be so close.

He feels really grateful to have someone that considers him a safe space, so he automatically considers them a safe space too. Although he might not seem like the type because he is quite straightforward Sunghoon does love to give words of reassurance to his loved ones, and if he is serious about a relationship he will pour his heart out sincerely. Of course these include compliments but also his feelings poured out into words. The kind of things you think only exists in books. Though, he is more likely to say these kind of things in private so they are more special.

Receiving = Acts of service. Although he is very capable of doing things himself and learns quite fast he does enjoy to have someone to rely on. Ever since his childhood he most probably carries a lot of responsibilities within himself so having someone do things for him no matter how big or small will and definitely would make him feel very loved.

Both = Quality time. At the end of the day he just wants to be around the person he loves, to him it doesn’t matter what they do as long as he can be in their presence. He is fine even with sitting next to each other silently, playing games, talking, sharing each others hobbies and so on. Giving = Words of affirmation. He loves to shower the people he loves in compliments and to make them feel special in their skin. He genuinely sees the beauty in everyone and wants to make sure that his loved ones value themselves just as much as he does. He is the kind of person who is very effected by the sadness of the ones around him, so he can easily catch onto when someone is feeling down. So when he can sense his loved one feeling down he will make sure to compliment them and lift their spirit up no matter what.

Receiving = Quality time! He really loves spending time with people he adores but had a slight preference to going with the flow rather than leading everything in the interaction. He finds it really warming and loving to spend time with those important to him, he thinks it’s kind of a point of life. To be surrounded with people you love and find comfort in.

Both = Both of the previous ones mentioned. So, quality time and words of affirmation. He doesn’t need a lot to feel loved and would prefer it if he would have a life partner that’s the same. However! He would still really enjoy doing one of a kind things with his loved one such as going to unique places or doing cliche things just because he wants to be able to tell that he did have the experience of doing this special unique thing with the person he loves. Not in a bragging way but perhaps he looks at it as a small privilege in life and it’s his way of showing gratitude.

Giving = Words of affirmation! Though he does enjoy deep conversations he prefers to take words of affirmations a bit lightly, so he might flirt a lot with the people he loves. (Even if it’s a platonic friendship) To him it’s his way of letting the person know he is comfortable with them, plus he finds it fun. Although he does find joy in comforting his loved ones when they feel down, he might just be awkward at it due to being an action person rather than a words person.

Receiving = Physical touch! He really loves being clingy to people who he knows are comfortable with it, because in his eyes it’s nothing bad at all. He loves to initiate physical touch for sure, but he has a slight preference for his loved one starting it due to it making him feel loved, wanted or needed. Especially if it’s caressing one anothers hand, cuddling or something of the sort.

Both = Quality time! He pretty much is really greatful to be able to spend time around the people he loves and finds comfort and warmth in being with them. He doesn’t mind taking the lead either, he loves to make sure that the people around him are not bored. Both = Physical touch and quality time! Niki probably doesn’t have a third love language, unless you count teasing as one. He seems to find a lot of joy in just experiencing life with his loved ones wether that’s outside or at home, just like Jungwon he is more of an action kinds of person rather than only all talk. This could be something that’s really important to him.
