Post-game, As.tarion readjusts poorly to being nocturnal, so he finds himself with a bounty of time during the day and absolutely nothing to do. This leads to him trying… so many different hobbies.

Embroidery he finds to be difficult without natural sunlight, though it’s by far his favorite and it helps he was good at it prior to being turned.

He does enjoy actually making clothing, and having the fabric delivered to his estate is easy, so it’s something he keeps up with.

Watercolors are nice, but he can only paint so many still life’s before it loses its charm.

He is actually very average at cooking and baking, though does not partake in eating it so he only does it when he has guests (to the tadfools, he’s inviting all of them to dinner parties. He misses his new friends). Food is more often under-seasoned given that he accidentally over-seasoned when he decided to go off recipe the first time.

He spends a lot of his time reading, and actually catching up on other world events that he wasn’t worried about knowing given that he didn’t need to.

Overall he hates being cooped up and closed in. He misses life and sunlight.

Eventually, in the verse with @thiefscant , Astari.on seeks out to cure himself of vampirism rather than just a fix for being immune to sunlight.

It is a lot easier to start living again if you are… well actually alive.

i am lucky, i live in a safe neighborhood in a safe state. my masc passenger princess comes up from DC. i drive her for an hour to where all the leaves are a violent arrangement of color. we walk along the trails, letting autumn into our blood. in this part of the state, there's a lot of pickup trucks and trump signs. when we chastely kiss before getting into the car, i accidentally make eye contact with a woman holding her child's wrist. she looks disgusted. she looks fucking pissed.

two hours later my girl and i are eating dinner on a patio, soaking in the last warmth of new england sun before the chill of winter sets in. we are giggling and trying to talk through plastic vampire teeth. at another table, i see a young woman sit up straighter. i watch her watch us. she blushes and takes her partner's hand from across the table. shy, like the taste of evening has just become something deeper.

it's worth it for this moment, i think. my lover is still humming the same song she's been singing for four days straight and i don't want to kill her for it. her guitar is beside my bed. her toothbrush is in my bathroom. in a few moments i will make us lunch. we are lucky enough to have found each other. it is lucky enough to be in love.

Gets Xiu Ya reforged but patently fucking refuses to make a sword mound. Because his disciple Is Not Dead :))) There was No Body. He's Not Dead. There is no convincing this man that Shen Qingqiu is dead. Absolutely nothing at all. He is buried so deep in denial that moles would be jealous of how deep he is. He keeps making tea for two in the bamboo house only to remember that it's just him. SQQ's fans are hiding everywhere, little reminders of his presence. He goes to wake up SQQ on the mornings he sleeps in-- only to find the room empty.
