cedar and cerise as a ship intrigue me sm in the sense that you take the character who has the biggest secret to hide; who constantly has to hide her true self away to protect her family, who spends her every waking moment worrying about keeping said secret and making sure no one finds out about it, and then you see her fall in love with the one person who quite literally can't help themselves from revealing her secret.

Okay. Cedar Wood is horrifying.

Like not her, she is best girl and you can't convince me otherwise. But like her curse is horrifying. Like she's got Ella Enchanted truth-curse. She can't have any privacy which means no one really deeply talks to her because she is forced to reveal private information even if she doesn't want to indulge it.

It hurts her and she understands why people don't get close to her and she's just...deserves better.

And like she's the next Pinocchio, right? And before Raven goes "NOPE, NOT SIGNING", everyone believes if you don't do your role, you disappear and by extension, everyone in your story disappears.

But like, by her very curse, Cedar cannot complete the role. Because Pinocchio spends the majority of it being the biggest liar ever? Like sure, his nose might reveal the fact he is lying. But he can choose to lie. He just does not have a poker face.

Exactly how is Cedar supposed to complete her role when she cannot lie at all?

Hatchetfield citizens being all high and mighty about being better than Clivsdale, but Clivesdale was never the root of a singing apocalypse, was it? Clivesdale never produced a prophet that tried to build a portal for an evil god to enter through, did it? Clivedale never had a yearly competition to see which woman should be sacrificed to a creature of greed and desire, did it? Clivesdale may suck, but at least it's safe.

It would be so hot to keep him completely bound and in my possession. He is dangerous to keep, given that he has a chance of escaping, and if he did, it would be handing him an excuse to kill me. Isn't that exciting? Having him completely dependent on me, barely able to move, never mind fight back, available to me whenever I want him. He would have nothing other than me. Psychologically, that wouldn't be too much of a change for him. Already, he only thinks of me. Would he even want anything different?

I know he would resist. I know how much he wants me dead, and this would only increase his desire to kill me.

I can imagine him thinking of it every time I'm close to him, every time I use his bound body.

Would he figure out a way to get out? If he did, I doubt I'd last a day alive. God, I want to keep him for myself until he kills me.

Just thinking about the time that Cedar Wood roasted that mean kid and he couldn't say shit because he knows she's compelled to tell the truth.
