Sam: Have you talked to him yet..?
Robin: Yes! Thirteen fucking times! Everytime I so much as take a step in there he starts growling then getting upset and apologising! he's so sad Sam!
Sam: Damn, well Dani's got the truck ready..we should probably get rid of her as soon as possible..and by that i mean tonight.
Robin: I know I know! But what the hell am i supposed to do?! He'll never forgive me if i take her from him!
Sam: Calm down Robin, he's just going through a phase, it's likely he saw dark skin, curly hair and his little alien heart just went pitter patter-
Robin: Three.
Sam: What..?
Robin: Al-an has three hearts, and they look nothing like me!
Sam: Right Right! Look, the point is he'll get over it, sure he'll be sad for a while but he'll come to his senses eventually and recognize that it was just his misfiring parental instincts rearing for the vary first time.
Robin: I don't know…he's never acted like this before..
Sam: we can't let him keep her Robin, she has a family, they've been tearing up town and the surrounding woods looking for her! …you haven't seen the faces of her family as they staple her flyers to every damn tree..
Robin: I know! It's just…ugh.
Sam: it'll be hard I know, just the sedatives-
Robin: You mean tranquilizers…
Sam: Robi…Im giving you the option to do this the easy way, one word and i can have Margurite do it for you..we need to take her back and we need to do it tonight when that idiot is on patrol, anyone else would be too risky.."
Robin: I'll handle it okay?! I doubt I'll need the tranqs, besides we need him awake to insure she doesn't squeal. And don't call me that I'm not a kid! I just need to figure out what to say to him after…
Sam: Your certain he can remove everything..? All traces of us..? She can't remember anything..
Robin: Yeah, he can…anything she does recall she won't be able to decipher enough to sense of this whole mess, Just get the bag and tell Danielle to have the van ready.
Sam: on a lighter note, Magurite is having a field day with those ransom notes, says that idiots been loosing sleep over her demands.."
Robin: fifty thousand dollars, seriously? is it right to pick on him like this?
Sam: Yes, Robi or do you not recall last christmas when that hopeless jackass tried to break into our lodge with his fake warrent..
Robin: I said don't call me that, and yeah, I'll admit that was pretty damn funny, but to be fair we did shoot his tires out.
Sam: what officer Ryley doesn't know Officer Ryley can't prove.
Robin: okay enough chit chat, this won't get done by being idle, I'm going to go tell him to wipe her, wish me luck.
Sam: Good luck…tell him we won't even complain if he mopes on the couch for a few days.
Robin: Really Sam?
Sam: What?! I was trying to be supportive!
Me still thinking about that domestic cyptid comedy horror Au where Ryley is a park ranger living out his days patroling the woods where an odd old lady , quirky researcher and her sibling and her girlfriend reside .
And every now and then he has to Head out and investigate reports and sightings of weird alien wendigos and robot not deers and chase off the local hippie cults (alterra) convinced aliens are trying to commune. And 100% knows Robin sam and Margaret know more then they act like.
And refuse to explain the power outages or odd glowing lights.
But its all told in like a podcast format And Ryley is 100% done with their gasslighting.

Just hear me out,
Wild west outlaw König.
That's all ,please and thank you❤️
P.s I love love love your work and you inspire me so much more than words can express,so thank you so much
Wild West Outlaw König Headcanons
Tumblr media
Warnings: Outlaw König, König Kills People, Obsessive König, König (DEEP) in Love, Looting, Kidnapping, Implied Smut, Non-Explicit Descriptions of Smut, Dominant König, Submissive König, Mention of Ghost, Fluff, Angst, Hurt/Comfort, Petnames, No Pronouns used for Reader except ‘You.
A/N: Thank you so much for your kind words, my lovely ! Your kind words have touched my heart, and I hope your creative endeavours flourish <3
Man owns a pair of handcuffs and KNOWS how to use them.
Let’s work on the assumption that he kidnapped you.
Perhaps you were already partially romantically involved but your family would never let you marry someone like König, so he stages a robbery and takes you as part of the ransom.
One he has no intention of accepting any payment for because he’s never letting you go.
König’s monstrous proportions make it easy for him to physically overpower aggressors – other bandits, outlaws, authority figures.
However, he does pose something of a hazard to himself because there’s (much) more of him to hit.
Luckily, he’s straight out of a situation the minute it gets sticky – as if he just disappears into thin air.
Just one of the reasons why he’s called the Phantom Outlaw.
Not to be confused with Ghost, who is also an outlaw but never leaves a trace (or a witness), making his reputation far more ghoulish than König’s.
Though, König does excel in the fear factor, his sheer size and notoriety – his trenchcoat and mask the very visage of Death – forcing everyone who sees him to relinquish their goods in exchange for their lives.
Speaking of, König’s ability to swing thousands in cash makes for a happy home life, given how he spends much of his fortune on you.
Clothes, jewels, literature, instruments, automobiles: you name it, you’ve got at least a treasure trove of each.
Even if you try to resist these gifts, König refuses to let up.
“Can’t have my precious little Engel going without, can I ?”
So, in return, you typically handle all the chores, though König insists you don’t have to.
“It’s not like we can hire a maid to do it for us, can we ?” you tell him. “Especially not when there’s a handsome bounty on that even more handsome head of yours.”
Said bounty is what makes it difficult for the two of you to stay in one place for too long.
And whenever you move, you always try to make the house a safe space for König.
Blankets in his favourite chair, his favourite meal on the table for him whenever you know he’s going to have a rough day, a bit of fun before bed, etc.
You can tell whenever he feels really comfortable, because he takes up three quarters of the bed, just sprawled out like a rapidly growing infection.
And you always fit neatly against his side. Or on his chest.
König calls you his “Little bunny” (or “Bun-Bun”) because of how small you look when you’re nuzzled into his chest.
He never takes you, or anything you do, for granted.
You don’t know this (so keep this a secret between you and I) but König watches you when you sleep. More than you’d think.
Truth be told, the outlaw life terrifies him.
Sure, he has the swagger and the notoriety to make off with thousands in gold, jewels, and lavish material items, but, really, his greatest, most prized treasure is you.
There is only one of you. You cannot be bought, or replicated, or found in the wild like an ore of purest diamond.
Simply put, König’s success is entirely down to the fact that he can’t be caught lacking.
If he ever was to, he knows he’d lose you. Whether you’re taken by a stray bullet in a shoot-out or your town’s rangers come to tear you from his cold, lifeless grip, König takes every precaution to circumvent these tragedies by remaining the fastest hand in the west. And the most ruthless.
Even for an outlaw, his kill count is exceedingly high.
And it’s no coincidence that the numbers began to climb after he met you. Fell in love with you.
People who he’s seen giving you lecherous stares, or those he can sense have poor intentions, he’s taken them out the back and absolved the world of their presence.
And, at the end of every excursion, every execution, every haul, the weight of the world falls from König’s shoulders as he comes back to you.
He takes his mask down around you, hangs his hat upon the coat rack. You’re the only person who he shows his face to.
But, whenever you can tell a fragment of the day resides pinned in his mind, shrapnel of his self-inflicted lifestyle, you make sure to service him before bed.
How he likes to be serviced can change on a day-to-day basis. He’s not fussy.
The only thing that changes is whether he wants to be handled by you or if he wants to slam you into the pillows.
Possessive sex <333.
“Tell me you love me,” he rasps into your ear, pinning you to the mattress with his body, making escape an impossibility to you. “Tell me I’m the only one that will ever have you like this,”
As stated previously; he has a pair of handcuffs and knows how to use them.
Or, if they’re too far out of reach and he needs you bound now, he’ll use rope. Or even just his hands.
Eye contact. The whole time.
It’s as if a different person inhabits him when he gets like this; something dark and jagged, no mere demon, possesses his form. And, by extension, yours.
König’s not stopping until you’re full, he’s empty, and he’s confident you’re not leaving the house for the next few days.
But, when König is feeling fragile, he lets you take the lead.
Just lies back while you’re on top of him, calling him your “Good boy”, “my Prince”, “my protector,” – anything that reaffirms that he holds a great deal of importance in your life.
More often than not, he ends up with tears in his eyes.
Nobody has ever been so gentle and loving towards him as you have. And coupled with how you’re taking him slowly, taking the time to make sure you’re hitting all bases and he’s thoroughly loved, sends him over the edge.
Kiss his tears away and his soul leaves his body.
It’s times like these that, more than anything, König wants a simple life. A paroxysmal desire to lead an ordinary existence where the two of you can live together happily, without the threat of being chased out of town every few months.
And, maybe, one day, even have a family together.
Until then, König will continue to dream, to give you a lifestyle of sapphires and gold and every delicacy the human mind can conjure.
And whenever he looks at you before he leaves, he sees his good luck charm, the light at the end of his tunnel. And, most importantly, the embodiment of love itself.
Reblog for more content like this! It helps creators like myself tremendously and it is greatly appreciated :-)

My redneck neighbor Doug on 'Into the Breach'
Sorry, been busy with work and life and so has Doug.
Now, let's get onto the next episode, 'Into the Breach'.
CW: Pretty chill, by Doug's standards.
------------------
Episode 13: ''Johnny Cash would be Proud''
Welp, sometimes, you gotta go where you’re wanted. And for Little Orphan Blondie, she’s back at the Museum of Science and Industry, now doing shitty puzzles with the Jedi babies. I really do hope Gun Safety Muppet sat on one of his own guns after that bullshit, hate that blue puppet fucker.
Tumblr media
At least the little pink girl got to keep her souvenir doll from the gift shop that Stepsister Beth . I hope these babies are going around and stealing from the storage. I would.
Church Lady left these guys in a shitty parking lot. Ha! Time waits for no man and she’s got a potluck with Sassy Park Ranger to prep for.
Aw hell yeah! My boy Toaster Strudel showing up in a stolen work van. And Daddy Warcrimes and his boyfriend MBA Rob are wondering if there’s yet another sobbing family stuffed in the trunk they can ransom once they cross the border. Never change, you two.
Tumblr media
God MBA Rob looks and TALKS just like my asshole nephew. Ugh. “Do you think I’m lying?” “Yes!”
Wow, Daddy Warcrimes and Julio ain’t taking no one’s shit. My boys!
Toaster Strudel even went into the Empire’s dumpster and yanked out an imperial uniform and forcing MBA Rob’s scruffy ass into it. Or maybe he hooked up with one and stole his clothes. Didn’t take Toaster Strudel for that but hey I don’t judge, that’s for Jesus and your God to do now ya know.
(“Wait, that Echo likes dudes?”
“No, that he steals from people he’s banged. Come on now Meat Muffin, why you gotta be prejudiced and stuff, we got laws now, ain’t you seen Brokeback Mountain?”)
Tumblr media
Oh, Stepsister Beth is on the struggle bus. Come ON, Stepsister Beth, start chatting with some of those other clones can get these babies out of here! Why all the male scientists got them windowless van mustaches?
Scientist with bangs is a real bitch. Don’t like her.
Look at Little Orphan Blondie plotting her way out of the Museum of Science and Industry!
Oooh my boys going all Johnny Cash with the BLACK! Love it! And MBA Rob trimmed his ass down, looks like My Wife’s First Love in Star Trek, gotta give it to him, good look.
(“I’m assuming that’s Will Riker?”
“Yeah, Captain Picard’s Number 1.”
“Why not call him Riker since you know who he is?”
“My wife told me I’m not allowed.”
“....I’m not asking anymore.”)
Tumblr media
MBA Rob’s super power is being a wild asshole. Ya know, that’s not always a bad thing. Man, he’s good at this. Ah, there’s Daddy Rambo shooting Stormtrooper dingbats and Toaster Strudel doing a thing.
There’s Julio checking out the ladies on his cell phone. Wonder which lady he’s texting, lay that pipe where you can, brother.
Is Toaster Strudel wearing jeans? Oh who cares–look at my boy kicking ass! Being all 007! Man, hope Alex-from-Manitoba is watching from heaven, proud of his boy!
Tumblr media
(Alex-from-Manitoba is Fives?!)
Julio fires up the stolen work truck, and off they go! Will they make it? Will they make it?! Come on, Daddy Rambo! Turn on some Folsom Prison Blues, you got this!
Even Daddy Warcrimes knows that Toaster Strudel’s on it. No wonder they gotta sideline Toaster Strudel like this, when he comes on shift everything works. Dang.
Woah! There they go! My boys! And Little Orphan Blondie! Woah!

More genuinely friendly reminders that these things are canon
Halt smiling when Will chose the Ranger Corps over Battleschool
Evanlyn giving Will the last of that sour sauce
Horace being enthusiastic over Maddie’s hunting skills
Arald teasing Gilan over having ,,other dinner plans”
Berrigan staying hidden as Halt and Crowley test Will before debriefing him
Halt being more impatient during the test than Will
Cassandra messing with Selethen over Erak’s Ransom and random Bedullin supporting her
Shigeru gifting Horace one of his own drawings
Selethen running to the boat because he cannot stand the idea of missing an adventure [/finding Horace]
Alyss saying “love me a man who can cook”
Pauline telling Will that Halt almost dying wasn’t his fault
Halt thinking of Horace as a second son
Pauline hiding a smile and then a laugh over the whole rabbit situation
Jenny telling Chubb she certainly has “the right figure” for Cook school
Alyss being saved from being hypnotised because Will tells her he loves her
Horace saying “of course you do!!!” when Will says he thinks he loves Alyss
Orman seeing through Will’s disguise
Horace knocking Ferris out
“so it’s a case of they think that we’ll think that they’ll do A, so they’ll do B, but then, because they think that we think that we know what they’re thinking, they’ll do A after all, because they wouldn’t think that we’ll think that way” “i’m inclined to make you repeat that” “i don’t think i could”
Cassandra silently admiring that Horace is the rock she always can lean on
Gilan becoming the Ranger Commandant
David never hesitating to be proud of Gilan no matter his job
Horace being hella excited for having his own Ranger cloak

top ten favorite Oxventure episodes because I feel like it let’s go. og Oxventure only otherwise you know Lampblack Wedding would be top of my list, followed by whoever’s first to make a Victoria McClary supercut.
Heist Society: Fancy party is my be-all end-all favorite ttrpg trope. I have watched this one so many times I have portions of it memorized. It’s the first episode I ever showed to my partner. I enacted Bear Down Protocol in my own campaign.
Bride or Die: (gestures to all of my oxventure tag) Do I need to explain.
Watch Out!: Very long and very silly. Love to watch Luke go, and the others playing along. Love that Luke based it on a museum he knows and loves. Love just the entire concept of Hengist. and. Merilwen’s Microwave :)
Dine Hard: World’s wildest plan goes off without a hitch when that plan didn’t even have a defined goal. Luke and Jane roleplaying at the absolute top of their game. and. Liliana hot. I know she doesn’t melt a man til start of next episode but extra points for that anyway.
Squid Pro Quo: I Was There, Gandalf. The spiraling insanity of Dob’s social engineering feels like he’s the one succumbing to eldritch madness and absolutely nothing could be funnier. Peak shenanigans that not even the players are in control of.
Wedded Redemption: Who would’ve thought Aubrey the tabaxi would be so endearing! Hilarious to learn that Harry McEntire ended up there because the only request he’d ever made of his agent was to do a D&D show! Despite what Andy says I think the title pun is great! And guess what! This one’s also a fancy party!
Court in the Act: I will never be over the fact that Corazon egoed his way into being arrested. It was only supposed to be Dob, it was very explicitly supposed to be Dob, but Corazon made a bit of drawing attention away from Dob and Johnny immediately adapted the setting to accommodate. The bit about replacing their nooses with pasta makes me crave udon to an unreasonable degree.
A Fête Worse Than Death: Body!!! Swap!!! Johnny summed up the feeling with, “That’s right folks, we’re doing it!” Also, Corazon holding the Seal Gaiman plushie to ransom, and then just holding it, 10/10.
Exhibition Impossible: Can you believe it, another fancy party! Corazon does cool pirate shit and looks cool doing it. Dob briefly attempts PvP before straight up walking away from a man begging for his life. Egbert brains an old man with almost no prompting. Seal Gaiman is born.
Tower Rangers: Liliana :) The different levels of the tower, the different kinds of Clonebert, and the plan to create infighting are all interesting and entertaining. I love the inventive circumnavigation of all Johnny’s expectations and I love that they do it all just to avoid Liliana as much as possible, because she’s that fucking scary. Cloud of Daggers :)

@iwtd-lmfao YOU BETTER FUCKING READ THIS
The poll is finished and it said to yap about RA, so I'm gonna do that while I should be doing schoolwork, and my friends are looking at men from Criminal Minds.
I first found Ranger's when I was at a library, and I wanted to find a new book to read. I was never really interested in medieval fantasy books, so I don't know why I chose Ranger's, but I did. They didn't even have the first few books there. The closest book they had to the first was the sixth, and I didn't know what reserving books back then was so I just picked up the sixth book and was like, "this is the closest to the first, it'll make more sense to read this one." It did not make sense, since the fifth was a fucking cliffhanger. Either way I got it out, read it and loved it so that turned into the best decision I have ever made. My dad then told me how to reserve books and I got the first one, started the series from the start and also loved it.
Originally Will was my favourite character because Halt was barely in the sixth so I didn't have the chance to experience the magic that is my lovely husband. I think it was a couple more books before Halt really became my favourite, and became the love of my life. Will has now gone quite down the list of favs.
My main favourite characters, in no particular order except for the first three are Halt (obviously), Crowley, Horace, Jenny, Gilan, Will, Rodney and Arald, mainly when they are together though because they are def best friends and you cannot convince me otherwise, Pritchard, and Pauline, mainly only when it comes to Haltine though.
I don't know when I started really liking Halt, but for years, don't know how long, he has been my ultimate favourite fictional character above any other character from any other media. I love him so goddamn fucking much. He started everything. He started my obsession with dilfs. Whenever I find new fav characters from other shows, I always like the characters that are similar to him, or remind me of him, and when describing those characters to people who don't know them I'll always go "he's kinda like Halt." My second fav ultimate fictional character is Izzy from Our Flag Means Death and he is very similar to Halt in my opinion and I love them both. Izzy even got seasick one time even though he's a fucking pirate. I was talking to my friend about watching Criminal Minds and we both agreed the Aaron Hotchner would be my favourite because based on the information we compared, Halt and Aaron are similar.
There is not a single goddamn day that passes where I don't think about RA and Halt.
Moving onto favourite books and then we can get back to my husband. My fav book in the entire series is Halt's Peril, mainly because its an entire book about my baby, and he's dying and suffering, and it's great. I like it when my favs are hurt and suffering as long as they don't die. I also like it when Halt's pissed off because its hot and he's pretty much pissed off throughout the entire book. I also like it when he's being a little sleepy cutie patootie because its adorable to think about, and he's unconscious for a lot of it. Pretty little boy. My second fav book is Kings of Clonmel because once again it's focusing on my pretty boy and we're unlocking trauma so it's amazing. Third one is probably Tournament at Gorlan because it;s CRALT. I don't have any ranking order for the others but some of my other favs are Seige of Macindaw, Ruins of Gorlan, Burning Bridge, Erak's Ransom and Battle at Hackham Heath. There's a bit of a theme with most of these, as in most of them have Halt in them.
Seige of Macindaw will always be special to me because it was the first one I read, and I suprisingly enjoy it for it not having a lot of Halt. I don't really give to shits about Willyss, but I really like them in that book. Plus, I love Keren, he's probably my favourite villain next to Morgie, and he probably had the most brutal death out of any of the villains unless I'm forgetting, and I really like brutal deaths because they're fun to think about. I know Jory Ruhl got set on fire, and that would bloody well hurt, but Keren got acid thrown into his eyes, and then pushed out a fucking window. And before he fell, he was caught on the window bars, which would have probably been sharp and stabby from when the acid was desroying them, and I be the probably dug into his skin, then he fell back and probs landed in a real painful position. I like to imagine that he pretty much fell on his head and it ripped apart kinda like that guy from Hot Fuzz, just not as extreme, or he landed on a weird position on his neck and snapped it really badly and there was lots of blood. I also love Horace in that book and loved Trobar and Malcolm. Another obvious reason why I love that book is because HALT CALLS WILL SON FOR THE FUCKS SAKE.
I would do anything to hear Halt call me something nice. Like darling. I'd do anything to just hear Halt speak, or to see him, or hug him.
I really wanna hear him speak, I bet he would sound sexy. He's got a fucking Irish accent and a deep voice that shits hot.
I don't think I've ever really cried over anything in the books, apart from one time. It wasn't when Will got taken, or Crowley or Alyss died. It was a scene in one of the TRR books where Maddie hugged Halt, and I was sitting in bed reading in the middle of the night and crying because I was really jealous and wanted to hug Halt so bad. I've had fantasies when I've been walking on a bushwalk and imagined coming across him, and I would just run up to him and hug him. I would probs get stabbed, but it would be worth it. I would love to get stabbed by Halt. I want him to yell at me
Sometimes when I'm bored I'll just pick up different books and flip to my favourtie parts and read those parts and get high off of it. I know how to get to my fav parts now. My biggest accomplishment is collecting all the books and all the Brotherband books. Screw any other real life accomplishment that may have some affect on my future, thats what I'm proud of.
There have bee multiple things I have started doing because of RA. Drinking coffee, archery even though I've basically quit because of ✨social anxiety✨ and I don't know why I started this sentence off by saying there was multiple things like it was going to be a long list, those are the only things I can think of right now.
I'm 80% sure I'm aromantic, or at least on the spectrum, and my sister most likely is as well, but we were talking about fictional characters that we would generally marry and date because we would both marry a couple fictional peeps. The conversation wasn't just about what characters we would marry as a joke, because otherwise I would have named all my favs, but we were ACKtually considering them and what we would one hundred percent agree to. It was a very serious conversation. Halt was the first name I said. No questions asked, that is the man I would marry. I WANT HIM SO BADLY HES MY LITTLE CUTIE PIEEEEEEEEEE. He could become a serial killer and kill heaps of people, being a onehundred percent selfish prick, an apath, not care about anyone else and be an arrogant douche bag and I would still be in love with him. I'm in love with Art the Clown and Pennywise for fucks sake they were on my list of people I would generally marry I don't think he would ever be that bad compared to them.
This man could commit war crimes and human attoricities and I would still call him my sweet little boy who deserves love and I could fix him just give me time.
This rant was supposed to be about the whole of Ranger's Apprentice but I ended up mainly yapping abt Halt. I didn't expect any different to be honest, he's my baby. I am very possesive over him my sweet little boy.
Anyway moving away from my cutie patootie (but I'll probably find a way to bring it back to him tbh) imma move on to the books and just say my opinions on them and random ass thoughts.
Ruins of Gorlan: One of my favs. I like origin stories and this is pretty much one. I also like training montages and things where people are just training and doing different things, but I mainly like them in books. and like the mentors if you couldn't tell. That's why I like ruins of Gorlan and The Outcasts because they're both similar in that way. My fav scene from it is probs the scene with Salt Peter because my boy was pissy, and also the scene with Alda, Jerome and Alda beatin' Will because my boy was pissy. I like the scene at the end. With the kalkara and my boys unconscious and hurt. AAAAA it's great.
Burning Bridge: I like the ending of it. Not the complete ending but the part with the last battle, and Morgie. I like Morgie. Did you know my husband is in this book? He's pretty good in it. Those chapters are the best. Especially THOSE four chapters with the sexy defrinistration and brouhaha. Beautiful man. Defend him with my life. The other chapters are alright. I like Gilan. He reminds me of Sodapop from the Outsiders.
Icebound Land: I like this one too. Honestly couldn't give two shits about Will and Evanlyn, or about Will's addiction. I understand that's a serious problem, but I honestly couldn't give two shits. Especially since it only lasted one book and then disappeared for ever and now only exsists in fanfics. I like the Horace and Halt chapters. I think this was the book where I really started to love Horace and he became my sweetheart. He's another character I would generally marry a be happy about it. Halt and Horace's dynamic is one of my favourites because they are just my little sweethearts. I love their weird father-son, uncle-nephew, older brother-younger brother kinda relationship they have going on. And their little arguements are funny. Horace is such a silly little innocent boy I love him.
Oakleaf Bearers: This ones alright. Not my fav, but I like it. Main thing I take from this one is that I love Halt and Erak's dynamic. Again the little sillies. That's probably one of the main things I love about this book. And a couple scenes.
Sorceror of the North: Why do I feel like I spelt this wrong. For a book that doesn't have a lot of my boy in it, I like it. It's funny because the two main characters that are in this one are Alyss and Will and I don't really care about them unless it involves their dynamics with the love of my life. I'm quite biased if you haven't noticed.
Seige of Macindaw: Love this one, part of the reason because its the first one I ever read, and because it's just great in my opinion. Keren is really cool and like I've said, he's my second fav villain. And Horace is in this one too! YAyyyyy! My sweetheart. He makes EVERYTHING better. Already talked about this one and why I like it so Imma move on
Erak's Ransom: I like this one too. Gotta a lot of characters I like in it, even if the chapters with just Will are boring to me. I like the scene where Halt gets beat up. I like seeing him vulnerable and hurt and in pain without actually dying and its cool.
Kings of Clonmel: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. My sweet little boy has so much traumaaaaaaaaaaa. It's beautiful. HE'S beautiful. I love the arguement scene between him and Ferris. I love hearing about his past. I don't really care about anything else. Just him. One of my fav scenes is the scene where he a little sleepy boy at the inn. So cute. My boy. My love
Halt's Peril: LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. My boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. I don't care if this book was basically just a sick fic and it has no plot relevance what so ever apart from a little trauma, I love it. I like things like that. That part where it said that when Halt was delirious when being unconscious and it said he was saying people's names, and it said that Horace didn't recognise some of them, I headcanon that one of those names was Pritchard's.
Emperor of Nihon-Ja: Honestly don't give two shits about this one. It's kinda boring to me. I love Horace though. The only interesting scenes are the ones with Halt, obviously. I like the scene where he gets super pissed at Cassie and Alyss. Beautiful
Lost Stories: It's alright. Liked it a lot the first couple times I read it, but started liking it a little less. Still good though. I'll let you guess what my fav story might be.
All TRR books: Don't care. I don't like Maddie for absolutely no reason, I don't like that Will is no longer baby, and my boy isn't in them as much. There are some ones I like, but I still don't give two shits about them. When new ones come out I pray that my hubby wubby will be in them, and then be terrified that he's gonna die. No joke, when the most recent one came out, I went to Whitcoulls everyday after school until it was there, and before that I had been stressing through out the entire week. I was so scared when I finally bought it I kinda felt sick. I would have cried so hard if he died, and bought another copy of the book just to burn it. I told my friends that I came to school the next day depressed, they would know why. I want him to be in those books, but I also don't want him to be in them because I'm scared he might die.
I SWEAR TO FUCK IF FLANNY KILLS HIM OUTSIDE OF THE BOOKS.
Halt's immortal I'm calling it now.
Tournament at Gorlan: Love. Love both of tey books, and this ones my fav. My little grumpy young boy. He would have looked so cute. He still does. In my mind anyways. Loved Pritchard as well. He's one of my fav characters even though he was only in half the book before he died but I love reading Halt and Pritchard fics. Imma write one where it turns out he's actually alive and he reunites with his son
Battle at Hackham Heath: The same thing, loved it. I wish Flanny looked more into Pritchard's death though because it happened right at the end of the first one, even though the two books would have had a time gap, still wanted to see it.
I want Flanny to write a third tey book set in between thoses two where it talks abt Pritchard's death more, and has lots of angst and shit, and also maybe has a scene with Thorgan the Smasher, because Halt and Crowley seem very gay right there. They were literally found cuddled up together, unconscious. If that's not gay, I don't know what is.
This rant about RA turned out to be one about Halt. It was mainly Halt, but I already knew it was going to be about him. If you have managed to stick around to the end, thank you for listening to my insanity. I am in love. Imma go flirt with Halt on charcater ai now.

Stella's opinion on all the German Ranger's Apprentice book titles (Of the main series)
Alright, here it is. I will follow the same pattern throughout the whole thing, so you better know it before hand: Book x - English title - German title - (The translation) - opinion - rating (I'm not gonna rate literal translations) Also, I talk a lot also about the English titles, but the rating is only for the German ones.
Book 1 - The ruins of Gorlan - Die Ruinen von Gorlan - literal translation
Book 2 - The Burning Bridge - Die brennende Brücke - again, literally translated
Book 3 - Icebound land - Der eiserne Ritter - (The iron knight) - out of all the translations, this is the one that I understand the least, like, ??? Did they just call it after the book cover? There's little to no mention of iron in the German book, so. why. would. they. call. it. that. - 1/10
Book 4 - Oakleaf Bearers - Der Angriff der Temujai-Reiter - (The attack of the Temujai-horsemen) - This is just a very German translation, I think. Just straight to the point, long, no mystery, just what's happening. Also, it's been a while since I read that book, so I don't quite get the English title. Is it a reference to how the book ends? Anyway, a little less germanificated would've been nice, but a valid translation. - 8/10
Book 5 - The sorcerer of the north - Der Krieger der Nacht - (The warrior of the night) - there's not much to say here other than I just personally prefer the German one. Both titles are fitting, and I think Krieger der Nacht has the better ring to it. Might be because I'm german - 10/10
Book 6 - The siege of Macindaw - Die Belagerung - (The siege) - Almost a literal translation, so I'm not gonna rate. But it's rather funny to me that for once, the English title is longer.
Book 7 - Erak's ransom - Der Gefangene des Wüstenvolkes - (The prisoner of the desert-people) - Notice how these two titles are together a bit of a spoiler for the book, 's kinda fun. Both titles fit though, but I suppose the English is better, merely because Erak is a known and liked character at that point, so I think this title gains more attention/curiosity. - 7.5/10
Book 8 - The kings of Clonmel - Die Befreiung von Hibernia - (The liberation of Hibernia) - Not a fitting translation. If I remember correctly, it's mostly just Clonmel they 'free' from the cult, but let's be honest, this is not the main focus of the book. Halt's backstory is. - 3/10
Book 9 - Halt's peril - Der große Heiler - (The grand healer) - While I do stan some Malcolm recogition, he is not the focus of the book. Again, it's Halt and Will kind of panicking about it. I'm starting to wonder if the translators don't like Halt. - 5/10
Book 10 - The emperor of Nihon-Ja - Die Schwertkämpfer von Nihon-Ja - (The swordsmen of Nihon-Ja) - Both titles kind of fit, but the English one is just a little more on point. The book is about keeping Shigeru emperor, not about the black bear learning some sick moves. But both are related to war, so I'd say it's more fitting than book 8 and 9, but that's not too difficult - 6/10
Book 11 - The lost stories - Die Legenden des Königreichs - (The legends of the kingdom) - Well, we just get a few stories out from a box. They're not legends. But the German title sounds far more epic and does do justice to the stories a little better, so I still like - 10/10
So. There you have it. I rated all the books of the English main series. Why do I say English? Glad you asked. It's because the German translators decided that sequals are for the weak and added the whole of RR onto the main series.
Anyway, hope you enjoyed!

I want to be clear my AU is also a crossover so like. Pacrim characters would be in it. Not heavily majorly but mentions.
I'm debating if this will be post canon or not but the major breakdown I have is:
The timeline is most likely not going to be the same as Pacrim canon. I just simply can't get the timeline to work the way I want it to otherwise. I'm gonna keep plotting things and figuring that out
Wicky was in the PPDC. He's older than in canon, yes, but not by much. Probably 2 years, at most.
Tango also was PPDC. Yes I'm making him older than in CP canon for this too. He's Ollie and Bitty's age.
Dex was in the academy as a teenager and worked for a year in the PPDC before he left. Something Happened for him to leave, it was not technically what he wanted to do. He's only a year older than in CP canon, so also Bitty and Ollie's age.
Dex was in the J Tech division.
Tango worked in the K Science division.
Wicky is the only Pilot out of the 3.
There are some Things/Jokes that are said about the PPDC that Wicky doesn't like. So he doesn't spend much time with them.
Someone makes a joke about Holster and Ransom being Drift Compatible. Wicky is blindly furious about that joke because he was a pilot and had a drift partner.
He throws Ransom and Holster into a makeshift Kwoon.
This is how the 2 learn Wicky was a pilot and they feel rather bad about their jokes about being drift compatible. Wicky still makes them go a few rounds.
When it's over, he nods and goes "looks like you might actually be drift compatible" and it blows their minds because they kinda like. Fucked up some there.
Wicky tells them what it actually means to be a drift partner and compatible and that it all comes down to trust.
Ollie stares at him and goes "is this why you asked me to spar with you?"
"Yes. And you trusted me enough to do it. And we aren't perfect partners, I think the Kaidonovskys are the only really perfect drift match, but we're compatible."
Tango very easily is just getting his like, 3rd degree in a specialized biology sect at this point. He already had 2, and 1 is in Kaiju biology. (He worked closely with Newt for a year.)
Dex may or may not have worked on a jaeger that got taken down and the pilots died in the fight.
He blames himself because the escape pods he put in didn't engage (which is wrong the pilots thought they had more time and just didn't USE THEM, so they died)
Wicky knows Tendo. Just cause. They exchange phone calls once a month at least and Tendo gives Wicky dating advice.
Literally mid work, Tendo picks up the call from Wicky. As he's working with a ranger team that's DEPLOYED. And the team screams at him to "CALL HIM BACK LATER"
That's it that's all I've thought of so far.

Tag game: Tour my bookshelf!
@totally-not-one-of-the-fae, thank you for tagging me!
An estimate of how many physical books I own: I just counted, and I have 772 plus two boxes about 2' x 3' x 18" stuffed full that I didn't bother to drag out and count XD (And I'm pretty sure I have other books scattered throughout other boxes that I missed counting.) So I have over 800 books!
Favorite author: I definitely don't have one favorite author, but some of my favorites are J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Murray N. Rothbard, Socrates, Richard J. Maybury, and Chuck Black
A popular book I've never read and never intend to read: Mine is likely also the Harry Potter series, though I may re-read it at some point (if I have nothing else to read or do, which will likely be...never XD)
A popular book I thought was just meh: I don't really pay attention to the popularity of books, so I'm not sure what books I've read are popular, and I also don't remember the names of books that I think are neither good nor bad, so I can't really answer this question.
Longest book I own: Based purely on page number, which varies depending upon the size of the books and page thickness, the longest book I own is The MacArthur Study Bible at 2,247 pages. After comes another Bible and then The Complete Works of Shakespeare.
Longest series I own all the books to: Probably The Chronicles of Narnia
Prettiest book I own: The Barnes and Noble edition of The Prince by Niccoló Machiavelli; it is black, gold, and silver with gilded edges and I find it both beautiful and stately. Actually, here's photos of it:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A book or series I wish more people knew about: Oh, there are so many good ones! If we're sticking to fiction, I would probably say Ranger's Apprentice, The Knights of Arrethtrae, or The Silmarillion (though I'm not sure how well-known those are). They are really good books and series that I enjoy and are on my re-read list, which is carefully curated to only my absolute favorites. If we're discussing non-fiction, I would say Whatever Happened to Justice? by Richard J. Maybury (this is an interesting look at justice and the legal system in non-technical terms), The Amazing Dr. Ransom's Bestiary of Adorable Fallacies by Douglas Wilson & N. D. Wilson (a hilarious and informative book on the different kinds of informal logical fallacies), and Economics in One Lesson by Henry Hazlitt (an informative introduction to economics in non-technical terms).
Book I'm reading now: Most recently, The Silmarillion, though I am currently reading several books.
Book that's been on my TBR list for a while but I still haven't got around to it:
Again, there are so many on this list! However, the one I'm planning to read next is The Lord of the Rings.
Do you have any books in a language other than English: Yes, even though I can't read them...yet! From what I can remember, I own two books in German, two in Spanish, and one in Korean.
And lastly, paperback, hardcover or ebook? I generally prefer hardback because they are sturdier and from what I've seen are usually prettier; however they are also more expensive and heavier, so I only buy hardback books when the book is a favorite of mine and I'm planning on re-reading it.
No-pressure tagging @solarcola, @hirazuki, @dreamingthroughthenoise, @nutmegs-tired, @actual-bill-potts, @eilinelsghost, @erdariel, @backgroundelf, @mersilisk, @none-ofthisnonsense, @thelordofgifs, @invisiblewashboard, @sweetmaggie, @violecov, @quixoticanarchy, @milesasinmorales, @dicksoutformtl, @aureentuluva70, @curiouselleth, @warthoong, and anyone else who wants to join!

The absolutely batshit order in which I reread RA this summer:
(did not plan to reread them all, it just... happened)
Burning Bridge (misplaced my Ruins of Gorlan somewhere)
Battle of Skandia (disliked some stuff in Icebound land when I read it 10 or so years ago)
Erak's Ransom
Ruins of Gorlan (found an audiobook!)
Icebound land (didn't want to read about grown up ranger Will, and it was way better than I remembered it. The antics that Halt and Horace got to? 12/10 would recommend)
Lost Stories (it was supposed to be the last one. It wasn't)
The emperor of Nihon-Ja
Kings of Clonmel
Halt's Peril
Sorcerer of North (last but definitely not least, I think I reread them like 3 times when Siege came out)
Siege of Macindaw (The best ending of them all)

Operation Ironfist (2011)
Objective: Extract documents and classified information
Note (2018): Alicia gave me this man's archive. And I heard about this operation, I wonder why it was signalized as something to look into.
Tumblr media
A base in the middle of a mountain range, reported to belong to a terrorist organization. Date and location are classifed. The intel had report of many objectives to kidnap and ransom or assassination, so the fifth team of the 75th Ranger Regiment was assigned to the mission. They had the mission of bring the list of the objectives and some other documents.
Their deadline was two weeks maximum, but to everyone surprise it was finished just after a week. It was a sharp team work under Captain Cromwell command, but every soldier coincided on something. The Sergeant of the team at the time, Luke Michaelis, was an indispensable piece of it, mostly when the comms failed and divided the team.
Note (2011): Apparently the comms expert assigned to the team made a mistake while preparing the lines.
Apparently the structure was unstable and collapsed, there were no casualties while the injuries were minor. From it was reported from said Sergeant and the other soldiers, comms failed because of a mistake before the mission and they were isolated from eachother without a way to get in touch with the commander officers to get instructions. Sergeant Michaelis reported little details and just said that he went for his teammates with all he had.
On the other hand, the rest of the fifth team said other details about it. The Corporal mentioned that the ones who found eachother, before crossing paths with the Sergeant, heard how something or someone fought with savagery. Soon they encountered the Sergeant again, and said that all of them were surprised to see him so differently to how they knew him.
The team advanced and searched for the other soldiers. Fortunately they found the rest soon enough, everyone was unharmed and the worst injury were cuts on Sergeant Michaelis' arms. From there, the path was clear for the most part, just the collapsed walls on their way.

Archive 01830273: Case Stormbringer (October 4th, 2011) Seven minutes
▶️ ------------------ 0:00/07:18
"Are you Corporal Mike Amery? Fifth Ranger Team?"
"Yes sir"
"Were you involved in Operation Ironfist?"
"Yes sir"
"Tell me about what happened after the structure collapsed"
"I found some of the soldiers while I walked around and looked for an exit, but we didn't find the Sergeant, the Lieutenant or the Captain. At least until we heard a fight behind one of the piles of rubbles, and it was...worrying."
"Worrying? How come?"
"It was similar to hear a fight between two wild animals, there were screams and something that sounded like bones smacked against metal."
"I see, did you know what caused it?"
"Yes, it was the Sergeant"
"I'm sorry, what? The Sergeant? Are you sure?"
"Absolutely, we saw with our own eyes how Sergeant Michaelis made his way across the stones and metal"
"Is this something usual with the Sergeant...?"
"Hell no! He usually is really polite and calmed, always with an impecable uniform even in warzones. But this time was really different!"
"How different?"
"He was covered in stone dust, filled of cuts in his arms, basically growling and cursing like a drunken sailor. Hmm, may I ask what happened with that fight, sir? The Sergeant never told us"
"The only thing I can say is that he was cornered and made his way out"
"Well, that's explains a bit"
"I guess we ended here"
End of recording
Note (2011): I recommed keep Sergeant Michaelis under vigilance, he has the potential of becoming a threat when pressured.
Note (2018): That part of cornered...I don' t know what to think about it.
Note 2 (2018): I just talked with this guy, apparently he fought three soldiers on his own and won. He called it "being on the storm zone".
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Medical record: Lieutenant Luke Michaelis (Sergeant at the time of the OP), patient 0-65
Tumblr media
Cuts to the epidermis: Left and right arm
Scratches: Face and neck (caused by the stones that continue falling after the collapse)
Bruises: Chest, legs and arms
Note (2018): He went away...surprisingly intact.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

What if Will missed his own first dance with Alice?
(or his whole wedding)
We all know it. The constant back and forth between Will and Alice during the whole series. In book 7 of Ranger's Apprentice - Eraks Ransom Will misses the dance with Alice at Halts wedding. At the end of book 10 – The Emperor of Nihon-ja, the two other marriages are finally announced. (Honestly, it took long enough for them to reach that point.)
Anyway, at Evanlyn and Horace's wedding ceremony, he's late for the dance. Alice's threat comes prompt and without mercy.
But what if he missed his own first wedding dance?
The morning before the wedding Will gets a mission and he thinks he can make it in time. Spoiler: He can't.
So afterwards, he comes home all dirty and exhausted. Hair standing in all directions. Looking at the sun (which he didn't get a good view at in the dark forest before) he realises that the ceremony should have started by now for a long, because it's already sunset.
He runs off, quickly putting on one of Crowley's awful shirts on the way.
When he arrives, the guests are already sitting at the tables, drinking, eating, and laughing. Baron Arald is the first to notice him: Hey, what unexpected guest is arriving already?
Walt and Gilan are most likely laughing it off, one inwardly, the other loudly, not able to help himself at all. Pauline, of course isn’t in a really funny mood, neither Alice.
Alice would be very disappointed by Will, no matter how much he’s trying to explain the reasons and apologizes deeply. In fact, she only gets more furious. And in my opinion, Alice can be very vindictive.
Any ideas how she might deal with this?

hiiii nika 🥺🫶🏻💕💕
7. who you relate to
oh, hmm... off the top of my head - elinor from sense & sensibility. there's a great quote from austen about how she's the comforter of others, even when she's in an equal or more amount of distress and that's just how i've been living for the last decade. im full of emotions, i feel so much, but living practically and caring about others instead of myself is just... easier? more right? idk
9. who you would take to a ren faire
there are too many good options. i want to see ransom in his fancy get-up bc u know if he's gonna go, he'll look spectacular (i think he's a bit of a fantasy/history fiction nerd deep down inside) and jake would look cute in a ranger/robin hood look.
but out of everyone, i'd choose steve!! i think he'd enjoy the arts & crafts vendors, eating the food, watching jousts 🥺 and he wouldn't feel too out of place bc we're all pretending to be in a different era anyways.
15. to go out to drinks with
sooooo I don't drink? but I would happily have a cranberry soda while frank adler sips his beer 😌 he feels safe to be around and i don't think i'd have to carry him out of the bar. just some casual chatting, lots of bar food, and light flirting 😖💕💕

CELTIC SYMPHONY
#It was far across the sea, When the devil got a hold of me, He wouldn’t set me free, So he kept me soul for ransom.
Chorus 1 na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na.
I’m a sailor man from Glasgow town, I’ve roamed this world round and round, He’s the meanest thing that I have found, In all my days of wandering.
Chorus 1
And I could see his evil eyes, It was then he took me by surprise, Take me to your paradise, I want to see the Jungle.
Chorus 1 Chorus 2 Here we go again, We’re on the road again, We’re on the road again, We’re on our way to Paradise, We love the jungle deep, That’s where the lion sleeps, For then those evil eyes, They have no place in Paradise.
Chorus 3 Graffiti on the wall just as the sun was going down, I seen graffiti on the wall ( Up the CELTS, Up the CELTS), Graffiti on the wall it says we’re magic, we’re magic, Graffiti on the wall….I see graffiti on the wall…….. And it says Ooh ah up the Celts, say ooh ah up the Celts (x5).
We went through each jungle deep, For the Paradise that we did seek, Was no trip for the weak, We’re waltzing with the natives.
Chorus 1
From the Amazon to Borneo, From Africa to Tokyo, To the darkest jungles of the world, But nowhere could i lose him.
Chorus 1
Around in circles every way, He turned to me and he did say, I think your leading me astray, I want your soul me Bhoyo!
Chorus 1
Chorus 2
Chorus 3
With the devil spittin blood, He said welcome to my neighbourhood, I’d lose him if I could, But he was always there beside me.
Chorus 1
He took me back to Glasgow town, Around the world around and ’round, The Celts were playing at the Rangers ground, So I took him up to Ibrox.
Chorus 1
While Mingling with the crowd that day, I lost him along the way, You can see him to this very day, Cheering for the Rangers!

oh god oh fuck * blows up *
obligatory link to the original ask game
🎲 If your OC played a pen and paper RPG, what class would they pick? Warrior, mage, thief, ranger, cleric, paladin, druid, necromancer, bard (or other, if that’s not enough).
I think honestly if he ever got convinced that playing dnd wasnt for nerds (lonnie would probably try to get him to play i know that dude would be a nerd. his kids would play too) then he would wanna be like the coolest strongest dude... probably a barbarian or some kind of warrior.
🪤 What is one thing that could be used to lure your OC into a trap?
EASY kidnap his daughter for ransom ✌ pretty much the easiest way would be to endanger his family in some way or see if theres a way to make him think his family is endangered... u kno? also he is always like lured towards whatever will make him big bucks so long as it doesnt like mess with his hyper specific system of morals lol
🕐 Was there ever a time your OC would have given everything to turn back the clock 5 minutes? What happened?
probably pretty much every time he died lol, big on trial and error when it comes to dying. not to mention i think he says alot of stupid shit that he realizes is stupid after the fact and so hes like ahhh fuck if only i perfectly did everything all the time * blows himself up* I think that vicky is just like a really regretful guy lmao even tho he hides that fact very very well
