do you have any advice for not falling into defeatism?

Take breaks from the news. We’re being bombarded with what feels like every other minute and it’s not healthy for us (I also need to work on this).

Take some deep breathes, and be in the moment. Take a few minutes to remember that your feet are on the ground and that you are safe.

I also would suggest looking for places in your local area where you can volunteer. See if there are any protests going on, and be outspoken. Several minority groups have been here before us and have gone through similar periods of dread, fear, and pain…but they’ve never given up. We will get through this.

I finally finished that jacket for the fell sans cosplay- just in time too cause the convention I want it for is just around the corner….

BUT!

I also want to ask for some help/advice/opinions!!!

Here’s my rough plan for the cosplay- but I’m not sure how to style my hair for it/ what would fit a fem (human) version of fell…

I’ve drawn up a few examples of styles I would be able to do, though other suggestions would also be greatly appreciated!

What I should be doing: finishing my Gararagator amagurumi and working on my most recent cross-stitch pattern

What I am actually doing: gazing at the basics of bobbin lacemaking with sparkly, covetous eyes

Maybe I did this to myself but it does irk me when people see me knitting and they ask who it’s for and I say it’s for me and the immediate reaction is “you should sell it” yeah… let me spend at least a week’s worth of my free time making an item I like, want, and would wear just to sell it on etsy, making at most a £2 profit on materials and not being compensated for my time whatsoever 👍🏻
