ok HUFF i have many Though.ts about this and theyve evolved ever since i read the book the first time. i wanna write a concise reply without yapping so i just cut like entire blocks of text.....sigh. let me try and gather my throughts for real

i think one of the biggest ways bunny differed from the others in the group-- and a big reason for henry's growing distaste for him-- was the fact that Bunny didn't worship henry like he SHOULD have.

Bunny, out of everyone (even richard), received the most amount of grace from Henry. Yes, Henry saved Richard from dying in that shithole in winter, and he 'saved' (debatable) Camilla from Charles, but how many times do you think, in the 3 years he knew Bun, did he pay for Bunny's food, clothes, and most likely medicine/inhalers etc. (thats another headcanon for another time i was just about to type a whole ahh paragraph). Considering everything he'd done for Bunny, Bunny should've been the one most devoted to him. And yet, he was ironically the least devoted. (but i'd argue he was somewhat of a devotee anyway)*

I say Bunny admired Henry enough to stick with him throughout the bachanal attempts. Given his conservative way of thinking and unserious attitude towards the practice, I was always baffled about WHY bunny even gave a shit about the bacchanal, why he didn't blow them all off. He surely didn't care enough to be involved in the practice for the sake of Francis (homosexual) or Camilla (woman, incest-er), or Charles (alabama) because by then he was disillusioned with them all. He gave a shit because Henry was doing it. He wanted to be involved because he wanted to stick by Henry.

Bunny's almost child-like dependence and clingy-ness (Read: How he drove Henry mad in Rome by following him EVERYWHERE. even to the BATH?) when it came to Henry was also baffling considering his brash and over-confident, 'masculine' character. He probs knew he was dependent on Henry, like a devotee is to a god. Or a son is to a father. (DONT. get me started on THAt. i have talked about it before i will no shutup ABOT it,)

So now we have established that Bunny did in fact worship Henry to some degree, but in the end he only saw him as another man (cough. A friend.) Because Bunny was not so detached from the rest of the world like Richard and the others were, he had a foot lodged in the door of reality and he only occasionally peeked into crazy lala cult land for the sake of Henry every now and then. He most likely assumed he'd be able to get away with it by just doing performative shit for his friends like wearing togas and singing in the forest lol.

Bunny's image of Henry's superiority or his godhood shattered in Rome, when he realized he was nothing more to Henry than...well, whatever Henry had called him in his journal. And also, that Henry was apparently crazy enough to kill a man with his bare hands. (MIND YOU, he read HENRY'S direct thoughts on the murder. Thus we can argue he knew about the murder more intimately than anyone else did. I just know Henry didn't really voice his true thoughts with any of the others (about how the murder probably felt exhilarating) but BUNNY read that shit. So thats when he realized just how fucked up Henry really was.)

Now, for richard and the others (particularly richard) the murder did nothing but lowkey solidify Henry's 'godhood' (and power) because these fucking morons were so detached from reality that they fr thought they were living in a greek myth or something. lame as hell. (me biggest greek class hater , hater #1)

Also I think its a bit karmic-ally satisfying how and why Henry meets his end lol. It IS through Bunny, and brought about by his OWN hand (Henry turned the letter, Henry pressed the trigger). But the reason Henry was really driven to it was because his own god was destroyed when he was shunned by him (Julian).

Henry's hand shoved Bunny off the cliff, but Bunny's hand wrote his ruin.

What does a scorned follower do when he loses his faith? He destroys his god. So Bunny's final act of prayer-- he destroyed Henry through Julian. Julian's godhood for Henry shattered when he abandoned him. An eye for an eye.

*Henry became extremely disillusioned with Bunny AFTER Bunny refused to observe the rites properly. Up until then, he was tolerating him despite everything, even the stupid stunt he pulled with richard LMAo. I guess the rites thing really showed Henry how little Bunny was willing to do for him, so he cut him out of the bacchanal entirely.

as i've said before, it's not really (or at least, primarily) about the ship. my own personal distaste aside, fandom by and large does not care about the fighting over it so my stance here is to block accounts i find that engage in it without interacting with them at all. if they had been upfront about it from the start that is what i would have done, like i have done with other blogs prior to this.

its about the fact that they intentionally positioned themselves as someone who was not into it to get close to people who were very clearly uncomfortable with it, including children, when that wasnt true. if expressing that this is not acceptable behavior is rude then what does that make their own behavior? or the fact that they disrespected Indian Hindus who were uncomfortable with their behavior shipping other characters, portraying it as a simple 'disagreement over interpretation'? (the nature of fgo aside, it isnt appropriate to talk like that to someone from the actual religion like that if they're trying to tell you that you're making them uncomfortable)

If simply pointing out that lying about a very controversial subject they engage in to interact with people who dont like it is an inappropriate thing to do, then what does that make them? or is it ok that they decided to do that instead of finding a group of their peers? is it ok that theyre now posting asks saying that the person being sent death and rape threats for mentioning it on twitter is lying, or that being given evidence of what they did constitutes stalking on the end of the person who was given the evidence, or any of the various other things theyve been saying in an attempt to twist the people who were uncomfortable with their lie as enabling victims when we were very clearly only talking to our friend group about something that bothered us? is all of that ok?

i've gone out of my way not to name them despite their attitude because i know how people get about this, which isnt a service theyve shown me or others. you are not the victim because people you had talked to found out you were lying about writing nsfw incest fic and told their friends.

Reader got a cryo vision at a very young age, and idk in my head people who get cryo visions have had to harden themselves against the work like the tsaritsa has. This plays into that.

Reader has always masked what they were really feeling. Most people owuld call them charming and good humored, but (individually) Zhongli, childe and diluc have always been able to sense something else.

THEN one day they get hit by an empathy spell and are almost knocked onto their knees when they see reader and feel an ocean of anger/hurt/resentment flowing from them. Reader doesn't know theyve been hit by the spell so they try to dodge the questions and its just an angst fest all around

The sound of cutlery filled the air as you enjoyed dinner with some of your colleagues. Laughter filling the air as you made another joke. A permanent fake smile plastered onto your face. After the jokes and laughter died down, some started discussing about work.

“Ah speakin’ of i just received a case about a recent murder from one of my clients. Family dead, they barely survived themself. Think you might be interested.”

Your eyes widened a noticeable amount, a neat file of papers being passed to you from across the table.

Should a world war start, i would pray for my countrys downfall, in that a global threat of violence, destruction, and subjugation might finally be eliminated. And i will have no grief for my country when it shatters.

A country built of the corpses of an entire continent of peoples can only stand so long. A country built by religious extremists exiled from their own countries to a continent in which they murdered everyone shouldnt be around. No country is without sins and no nation established without blood, but the US's level of depravity has long outperformed many other western nations.

I suppose ignorance and comfort are the only ways to ensure its public doesnt turn on the government.

I guess this is the same hopelessness that tires many other people, i dont have a real point here. I dont want to feel hopeless, and ive only been paying attention for the last 5 years really. this fight has come before me and will continue after me. humanity is an idea we must spread, apparantly, as modern humans forget how to and chafe at caring or helping one another.

Understand that without eachother, we are alone. We become powerless as individuals. We get walked over and ignored and used. When we put the effort into eachother, its returned and love, respect, admiration, and decency are allowed to shine through if we can only look at eachothers personhood.

A person in palestine lived and worked and went to school, scraped their knees and got them kissed to make it better, helped their children learn their harder lessons, rode bikes, had secrets and romances, had queer experiences and hid them from families with the same anxiety many queer people always feel. They loved and laughed and danced and when the bombs fell, it was on fathers and brothers, mothers and daughters, real people with rich lives cut short. Sonder is a powerful feeling that once felt can recontextualize everything.

We have to care because they are people like we are people, struggling and wanting, laughing and raging, saving the best cuts of meat for the ones they love, with their own inside jokes in friend groups and mistakes with lovers and any other aspect of humanity you yourself experience. I dont think we could ever convince those in power of the importance of their humanity and how damning it is to our own when we harm eachother like this.

Can't we care? Aren't we allowed to recognize eachother? Who are we if we let them be slaughtered so brutally, so disgustingly and ruthlessly? Less than humans and more akin to beasts hellbent on destruction.

Sorry for the long ask, but with Fit's deadline fast approaching I've been seeing a ton of posts talking about how Fit's secret being revealed will break trust with the other islanders so I'm wondering if I missed something about that? I haven't had the time to catch streams lately but as far as I remember Fit's mission was just to collect player data, and I don't understand why that would be a big enough deal to destroy the trust Fit has gained with the other islanders

well i guess the fact he hadnt told most of them. they all believe they know why fit is on the island with them. the vacation the same reason so many of them supposedly went to quesadilla island and they have built bonds over time so once they find out that that piece of information was actually not true it could shift peoples trust and perception of fit. especially if you consider he is selling and giving madagio all his friends data and information that they did not consent to and also do not know what will be done with. he has been basically lying to the majority of people on the island and if he can keep a secret for so long whose to say that he isn’t hiding more? whose to say he hasn’t been lying about everything else they know about him as well? it could get messy

player data entails everything to do with a player in the game so i can’t exactly remember what was listed in the player data he has collected but i distinctly remember stuff like number of times blinked, how many blocks theyve traveled, damage taken, number of player kills, etc. that type of data.

heres the thing do I PERSONALLY think this reveal with ruin his friendships and trust with people? no. but theres always the possibility and of course a side that disagrees. i believe he’s only informed ramon and pac about his whole mission on the island. my memory of the lore is getting so foggy-.-

everything is ending. last day of the quarter for me was yesterday, and that same evening my grandmother told me she put the mountain house on the market a few weeks ago. i had been dreaming about it a lot but didnt know why, now i think i know. i want to try really hard to go and see it one last time, pack up my things. i hate that my lives end and end in this life. there is no way to go back to the things that dont exist anymore, or even to the things that do. my grandparents have gotten very good at loss. i wonder if ill be as good at it as them when im their age, but i doubt it. theyve crossed oceans, ive barely left the front door. this was my last first quarter of a schoolyear in college. i dont know how four years have passed. i dont know how i am still surviving this terrible plague, all this terrible loss, and my terrible loneliness. i can feel how far i am from myself under the rubble of trying to do well in school above all else. ive stopped painting and drawing, ive stopped making music, ive stopped cooking for the most part, ive stopped leaving my house for more than a 4 block radius unless im in h's car. my life has gotten very small and parts of it keep dying. i havent decided today if its cruel that i have to live so many lifetimes in my one life, or if its a good thing. all i know today is that i want to be outlasted by the things i love.

here is a preliminary list of the things i want to bring with me from the house:

-the pillows and comforter on my bed(wish i could have the mattress too its so comfortable and has barely been used) -the flying tiger in the main floor bathroom -the lizard mugs -a lot of the other dishes too actually -a bunch of the books, especially gerald durrell -bones from the bones box on the porch -the little yellow backpack we used to hike with -the towels, one from each bathroom set -the contents of my desk drawers -the guitar and banjo -some of the spice racks in the kitchen -some of the pots and pans

if i could id take the copper sink basin, the saltillo tiles with the dog prints in them, almost all of the furniture which is monolithic and ancient, the sound of the nighthawks and bluebirds and elk, the wild irises and aspen, the mariposa lilies, the smell of deer droppings and all of the parts of my heart i left there over the years

things have settled down in the past couple years at least now that octaria officially is not our enemy anymore and theyve gotten their feet back on the ground and there are also no other potential world ending threats after the space bear

but as for inkadia not having an official military the way i see it is they havent really needed one since the great turf war? since it was just the nss fighting against the octarians everyone else kind of just forgot about them

and when again at least half the population of your country fights to the splat for sport you dont really need to train anyone to fight or pay to enlist them when you dont need them

they probably think that if any sort of horrible apocalyptic event was going to happen everyone would band together to stop it without any sort of centralized military force

and the big runs thatve probably been fully orchestrated by grizzco are a testament to that people who wouldnt ever work for grizzco before flocked to defend both inkopolis and splatsville when the cities were being attacked by salmonids

as for it all being decentralized im not sure

there are cops but ive mostly seen them just giving out traffic tickets and they might just act more as detectives idk

you dont hear about a lot of murders or violent crime so while i doubt that they dont happen theyre probably resolved pretty quickly

theres other agencies like social services etc that generally take care of things though they uh

arent always on top of the things they should be

ill be honest i dont pay much attention to government bodies i only interact with them when i have to

yeah a lack of communication is probably what leads to a lot of just people doing their own thing

There’s this one blog on here that kinda weirds me out because they are so hyper deadest on shipping Foah together. Like whenever they write normal Byler posts, it’s so beautiful! But then, everything else idk. And I know a lot of us joke about Noah wanting to kiss Finn or vice versa but this blog gives off weird vibes because they seem to genuinely want Finn and Noah to date in real life. They also seem to make a lot of assumptions about their feelings for each other just because of their chemistry. And I don’t know how serious this blog is about it but it gives me Larry shipper vibes. Or like the Fack conspiracy all over again, which hurt Finn and Jack’s friendship at the time

oh my god im glad you brought this up i know exactly who youre talking about. every time i make a post telling people not to ship real people it was bc of that blog in particular. i have them blocked so im not afraid to talk about them. we’ve made jokes and memes about noah being the biggest byler shipper and wanting to kiss finn for byler and theyre mostly pretty harmless but this blog is just something else.

ive also noticed that they ignore anybody who tells them that finn has a gf. they just wont answer the anon (i know bc i have sent one) or ignore any replies about it. they live in this weird bubble where they choose to believe these real people are dating. and like ok i cant stop you from thinking theyd be cute together, theres nothing wrong with that, what makes it problematic is trying to read into their interactions and expressions and publicly suspect their relationship and sexualities on the internet. and again, they always try to be like “theres no harm in it im not directly @ ing finn or noah” but this is the internet. anybody can screenshot anything and put it anywhere. there is always a chance that either of them could see their posts and it could be so bad if they did. i dont think theyve ever once considered what it could be like to be finn or noah and see this.

like yes, there is a chance they’d just laugh about how ridiculous it is and move on but what if one of them actually was questioning their sexuality and then they saw some random person on the internet reading into it like this??? that would be so fucking hard. jack came out as bi after people were shipping him and finn so much. i cant imagine how anxiety provoking it would be to see what people were saying about him and finn while being in the closet. it gives ME anxiety on their behalf!! i hope so bad theyre blissfully unaware of this.

one anon told them that theyre using foah as a coping mechanism after byler didnt work out how they wanted in s4 and theyre so right. before vol 2 came out i saw maybe two posts from them in the byler tag about it that kinda weirded me out but after volume two they just turned into a foah blog instead of byler. they literally had byler in their url before and then they changed it to foah for fucks sake. and they still have the nerve to claim they dont ship them and what theyre doing is completely fine and just “observation”.

also i was looking at their blog once and they mentioned that they were 31 years old…. look it is not weird to ship byler at any age. i have personally as a 22 year old been told that its weird for me to ship byler and analyze these fictional characters and i completely disagree with that. theres nothing weird about shipping characters at any age even if the characters are kids (as long as youre not nasty about it) but real people??? god i would have been SO relieved if this person was like 15. i would not have gone as hard on them as i am right now if they were a kid because i would assume they would grow and eventually realize that its weird and invasive. i mean i remember reading stupid fanfics about youtubers when i was 14 but i grew and matured and realized how insane that is and no longer had any interest in reading into real peoples love lives. but i cannot excuse any adult shipping them like this.

god this ended up being so long i just had a lot to say. moral of the story: if actors have great chemistry on screen together it just means theyre good at their job, it doesnt mean theyre dating or crushing on each other in real life.
