my attempt at sorting through the kakashi timeline. (i now realize my other post had a small mistake)

5: enters the academy along with everyone else. matriculation is more like the official enrollment into attending an academy/university rather than yearly orientation. seems we can assume this was the point that the students were first accepted into the academy

later at 5: graduates the academy and becomes known as a prodigy

6: becomes a chunin all while the rest of his generation are still in the academy

7/8: sakumo dies

9: is put on team minato with genin his age. meets obito and rin (also 9) but theyve just freshly graduated the academy. im not actually sure if 9 is the graduation age cause i dont have confirmation panels but thats what ive heard. its kinda irrelevant anyways i guess as long as its before the chunin exams.

…11/12..? (look to obitos age below for a more accurate estimate): takes chunin exams with team 7. now THIS is where the issue is. that stupid fucking panel of him holding up his chunin paper that shows after he beats guy. i originally mistook this for a flashback to him becoming chunin before realizing what the order of the panels was suggesting so thats the mistake. there are a couple ways to fix this

1. pretend it was a reinstation for whatever reason.

ideas:

- because he was made chunin super young and the rank needed a renewal due to his young age at the time

- he didnt actually take the exams at 6 since he didnt have an official team and was given the rank based on skill so it was kinda unofficial and this was his official exam

- he needed to get reinstated because he had a new team and the exams were supposed to in part measure the teams compatibility

- something else thats better thought out than my ideas

basically directly addressing this panel instead of deaging him fucks less with the timeline and portrayals and should fix the inconsistency as well. i mostly see people headcanon the age difference as 2-5 years but if were going with this, the age difference should be roughly 5-7 years- obito was 12/13 when he got crushed and had just become a chunin because in that same scene, rin whispers to him about meeting up and that meet up is to discuss kakashis present for becoming jonin. they give kakashi his gifts on the way to the bridge. chunin exams are held biannually during fall and spring. he got whooped by guy in the 1 on 1s and promptly failed in what we can assume was fall.

hes shown training during winter and retakes the exam in the spring so less than a year passes in between obito failing and becoming chunin (those are flower buds btw. i thought they were leaves but theyre not). if obito was 12/13 when he got smooshed, he was 11/12 at absolute minimum when he failed and kakashi became chunin (6)

and that age difference of 5-7years makes no sense because hes taller than rin and the same height and age appearance wise as the rest of his grade. if that really was their age difference, kakashi would look a LOT younger during orientation. as crazy as his chunin at age 6 feat is, its very difficult for me to suspend my belief and imagine him enrolling in the academy at 0 to -2 years old. it would also make rin pretty creepy and as confrontational as obito is, i feel like he would not beg to be rivals with someone 5-7 years younger than him. that would hurt his pride too much

but this one is a good reference to use. can see both of their full figures, theyre standing pretty in line so no height lost to depth of frame. and theyre walking pretty much in step so no real height difference there from up/down positions. the railing also provides a helpful guide line to compare them against

i imagine clem is about 5'1 and vi is about 5'3 minus slouch hsfksdksd. look at clem and her good posture in comparison. vi stand up. also i caught her here before she slouched again so you can really see her full height. her shoulders come above clems

I introduce yall my Haunting ground character whose name is Bernhard Durchdenwald(Bern or Bernie for short)

Age: 20-21 years old

Personality: Daniella type of coldness but less creepier, quite genuinely curious and afraid of everything because he has lost touch with the real world so when Fiona arrives in the castle hes acting quite distant at first, very gentle with women(both with Fiona and Daniella)

Sexuality: hetero

His role in the Haunting ground story:

I wanted to make some Haunting ground character and i was wondering what function they should take and since Fiona is my main fav i decided to make her an extra helper along with Hewie…thats how their ship got born😭

I read somewhere about Daniella’s backstory and that she was actually kidnapped by Lorenzo when she was a little girl and basically got brainwashed or something like this…so i basically built this guy in a similar way.

Still cant choose if Riccardo or Lorenzo is the one kidnapping him but since Daniella and Bernhard are the same age maybe they both were kidnapped around the same time.

Once he got kidnapped he was put to guard the castle and take care of the garden(just like Debilitas) BUT he wasnt let in the castle for absolutely no reason(or maybe cause both Lorenzo and Riccardo hated him enough but wanted to keep him for better protection??of the castle). So yeah the rabbit youd see in the garden is actually his and he lives in a self built little house similar to Debilitas’ .

So how does he exactly win Fiona’s heart and Hewie’s trust? Simple, he was behaving good towards Fiona and helped her in many situations but his key was the patience he had. After all Fiona, all traumatized, cant just get with the first one who shows her humane behavior in that weird ass castle.

What i was thinking about is that in Ending A and B(and C) she gets with him after Debilitas’ boss fight because hell run in(even if everything is actually finished and Fiona already spared Debi but with that move hell prove Fiona that he actually cares and searches for her to help her. (Fun fact but he actually was planning on keeping Debi away from Fiona by making him a doll of her, which funny enough, timed so well because Debi would have something to pray to that actually looks like Fiona, something like an idol).

Yes, corny, but apparently they dont kiss on the mouth there(only Fiona kisses his cheek), but later on after Debilitas gives the Smudged key to Fiona. They even get quite intimate and quirky(yk what i mean), after Fiona gets caught by Riccardo and locked in a cage they become even more passionate for each other. Still havent decided if Hewie first finds Bern and then they find Fiona or vice versa due to Bern’s actually terrible condition. Riccardo removes his arm when he gets his caged as well, but before that he shoots it a few times in front of Fiona to demonstrate how “scary” he is and to eventually make Fiona suffer even more(no bro youre a criminal). He also removes his 12th and 11th rib(a dreamy surgery to some people, my guys a skinny legend now)just to make him more vulnerable but to also ruin his posture.(not so fun fact he actually removes the entire ribs and not just 1/3 of them)

(So yes in Ending C theyre just officially together but still havent kissed☠️).

Endings:

Ending A: Fiona, Bernhard and Hewie escape the castle after defeating everyone except Debilitas

Ending B: The trio leaves after defeating everyone

Ending C: The trio leaves without anyone being defeated

Ending D(the not canon one): Fiona gets r4ped by Riccardo due the fact neither Hewie neither Bern help her because she treats both of them badly to a point even Bernhard disappears (idk if he k1lls himself or something).

Relations with the others:

About his relations with the rest of the fellas, the rabbit and Debilitas are his best friends. Since both Bern and Debi have the same things to do they basically become workmates. Bern found his way of handling Debi’s more specific behavior and they both value each other a lot.

He sees Daniella as his sister, even if they dont have any biological connection(probably because she would cook for him and bring it to him and basically gave him the minimal attention). He treats her with huge respect and is being very gentle with her. Never felt something romantic or sexual towards her obviously, but he does think shes very gorgeous both on the outside and the inside. He couldnt even believe she wanted to hurt Fiona until he sees with his own eyes.

Depending on if Riccardo or Lorenzo kidnaps him hell see the one of them as the Master(or maybe he sees the both of them as the big guys). Hed treat his Master with respect mainly out of fear. But he lost that respect once he saw what both Riccardo and Lorenzo do on his future wife.

Facts:

Yall see, hes got quite of big hands and feet an ad d weird posture. I was thinking for a while if i should make him a homunculus as well but then i thought it wouldnt make sense if him and Fiona are planned to have a baby(well yeah they did the baby “ritual” and yes im sure Riccardo ate his nails out of madness) so currently ive been thinking about making him a “superman” (Jacob’s syndrome aka the extra Y chromosome anomaly in male individuals)

Hes actually very good at making stuff out of wood and hed also sew good, quite of a creative dude. He’ll probably notice on how tight Fiona’s clothes are so hed offer her an alternative dress made by him that will fit her but make her feel more free(he noticed the jiggle physics too so he wouldnt want no bad people to look at Fiona’s chest or butt).

He is coming from North Germany, Quedlinburg. From a big family with many sisters. He was the only boy from all siblings. Due the fact he got kidnapped at a very young age he forgot about his past.

Hell be quite naive at first, his bad part of his character is that hell be kind of emotionally dumb. But i believe that with the enough patience from both sides he can learn how to grow up emotionally. I can assure yall that both Fiona and him were scared of each other in the beginning x3.

Hes got a very, veeeery deep voice and basically if he gets to talk to Fiona while shes sleepy for example she’d immediately fall asleep cause his voice is perfect for reading/telling lullabies.

Sun has been searching for someone who can 'bless' the curse of Moon (or whatever is making Moon be nasty murderous bloodthirsty man) for ages but mages r rare and most of them spend maybe one night trying to cure Moon before either getting got or being scared into getting tf outta there

so eventually word reaches Sun of a mage who's been looking for work, with the only catch being that they arent very powerful and no one has much to say abt them, and Sun, who has burnt every single thread he has trying to find a mage, is like GOOD ENOUGH CALL THEM HERE

and reader is like 'oh shit this is potentially a rlly good job, the only catch is that i have to deal w a demon possessed guy thats like twice my height and three times as strong,,' and like. bc they have Zero Options and also feel like their life has run itself into th ground and there is little left for them/no way to get themselves out of their Issues, they r like 'yeah sure its gonna take a while bc i can only perform minor magic but i'll do whatever i can to see that this curse is delt with'

and instead of trying to face Moon head on, they start with just kinda,, getting to know him. he's kept chained/locked away in a chamber every night to keep ppl safe, but every night reader goes into the chambers, sits at a tea table just out of his reach, and just. talks with him

they dont entertain his trying to mess w them, taunting, cruelty, etc, but they talk when there's the chance for standard conversation. at first it's hell bc Moon is a little shit and he never cooperates. he never answers questions, he spends the entire night threatening to tear them apart and savor their insides, etc. they bring him a cup of tea every night, and every time he smashes the cup and throws the pieces at them

ok well point is eventually Moon starts to mellow out around them, will actually sit and have conversation with them, one day is like 'you think i dont know what youre doing?? youre just trying to bore me into falling for ur trap so u can kill me. i like ur style but its not gonna work >:3'

and reader is like 'i literally do not have enough magic to kill a toad let alone a whole entire possessed person' and moon is like ',, huh. so what IS ur goal here??' and reader is like 'i want to lift ur curse for both u and Sun's sakes. i gave u my word, and i will follow through, at the very least to clear my own conscience of a past sin'

and so eventually Moon, out of curiosity, and later bc he likes spending time with reader, starts letting them cast the healing magic on him, breaking the curse little by little every night

and at the same time all this is happening, reader is spending mornings and evenings with Sun and keeping him up to date on how the process is going and, eventually, becoming the person he turns to when he's stressed or tired or rlly just wants company

and idk smthn smthn eventually both of them rlly want Reader and they dont know how to act so they just b making fools of themselves but reader is a dumbass so theyre just confused

(Moon absolutely tells Reader abt every 'oh man i rlly wanna kiss kiss snuggle smooch the mage rn' thought Sun has during the day but Reader is so used to Moon being a little shit n making shit up to mess with them that they r just like ._. )

the plot twist part,,

(the secret dark past that reader is hiding is that they used to be a local mage for a nearby town who was known and respected for giving 'blessings' to ppl for small fees but one day for Reasons, they cast a curse upon someone and one of the biggest no-no's a mage can do is Curse someone so the town practically rioted, tore them down from their pedestal, called upon another mage to strip reader of their magic, and then cast them out)

(rn im considering the idea that the person reader Cursed is Vanny, who, because of her own curse, eventually went on to be the one who cursed Sun and Moon)

I also think for proshippers specifically that these young people are (to steal a quote from [youtuber]) “shadowboxing” a world that sexualizes them… and losing. What I mean by this is that they’re making up easy bad guys to fight because they feel powerless to fight a world where teenage girls get countdown clocks for their 18th birthday and teenagers are debuting as sexualized kpop idols. A world where, if they criticize these issues in public spaces, they get shouted down by the adults around them for being wet blankets or people who say “well, it’s technically legal!!” They feel disenfranchised, but the one place they do have a voice is the welcoming sphere of fandom. For me, I (as a teen) remember feeling particularly radicalized by the [horse cartoon] fandom’s reaction to the time he nearly committed statutory rape (they blamed the victim and said she was nearly 18 anyway, despite the fact that he was already middle aged and groomed her). I never became an anti, but I DID have huge long arguments in comment sections with people over this. This is the kind of energy antis are bringing to the table. Except, because they’re teens, they have much more black and white thinking and much less media literacy. Rather than defend a victim of almost statutory rape, they’re applying this black and white logic to situations that don’t really need it, probably because they’re using “I got discomfort from this, so that means it must be just as bad as people defending statutory rape!” They likely don’t have the experience to articulate/think nuanced positions like “The way artists emphasize the height difference of this ship reminds me of how society likes traits that infantilize women in romances, so I prefer ships where the woman is not much shorter than the man.” But I’m betting you that it bothers them still, even if they can’t put into words, which makes them feel crazy. So they try their best to put it into words, and it comes out as “Short women are child-coded, so romances with them are basically pedobait!” They need someone to take their frustrations with sexism seriously, but they suck at words and “I don’t like short women romances” doesn’t really sound like a sexism problem, so they escalate it into “it’s basically statutory rape” just to find others who feel as frustrated as they do. I personally feel this on a deep level, as I remember feeling like the entire romance genre was geared to fetishize the oppression of women, and I felt alone in my anger at this because nobody else in my life felt the same way. It’s only as an adult (when I developed a better capacity for nuance), that I realized that some women respond to the oppression in “problematic” ways by fetishizing it in a safe environment, and that’s okay. I think another cause of this is that a lot of the antis I see today are extremely young and grew up in cartoon fandoms where predators ran amuck in the lawless Wild West of [gems cartoon]/[pony cartoon] fandoms. They likely saw the effects of fandoms with poor adult/child boundaries (specifically ones where predators might’ve wrote stereotypically dark fanfic with “It’s just fiction” as a justification, only to be later revealed as a predator), and they are now vigilant about potential predators as a trauma response. They NEED to be able to “spot” predators using the Anti logic they’ve made up, because the alternative is realizing the predators have no standard look and can be anybody you know. The reality is, sadly, that no amount of Anti Logic will save you. Sure, some predators write dark fanfic, but a lot dark fic writers are perfectly good people. And people with “wholesome” interests can just as easily be a predator. [some person i dont know], a famous anti, is for instance a well-known predator. I have no doubt that she uses her anti status as a signal that she’s “safe,” when she’s very much NOT a safe person. This is compounded by the fact that the internet actually has a poor understanding of what grooming even is.

My thoughts after playing the new Touchstarved demo :]

This is gonna go in order of which characters got introduced

So starting off with mc :3333 the Hound backstory got sniped 😞 I feel like they should’ve told us that they removed that backstory instead of surprising us, because from what I’ve seen so far, not even the kickstarter people knew about this and so many people who got attached to that backstory are upset now. I personally haven’t played the Exile because I like the Oracle more and that’s something that would fit my MC more, but when I play the Exile and the Alchemist route then I’ll probably edit this post with my thoughts on each route (except that might be in a month or two) another thing is why would you remove that route and add a new one? That’s wasting time for you guys. It would be easier to improve the hound instead of making a new backstory.

I do like how they answered the question on why MC wears bandages instead of gloves, and I do like the new interactions MC has.

I also like how MC got to sleep instead of continuing to roam around because I feel like meeting many people in a single day would be tiring, but that’s just me.

Although one thing that’s still there is the height description for mc. I remember other fans being upset about that. For me the description does fit because I’m really short (150cm 😔) but what about those taller than me? What about people taller than Ais??? He’s not gonna be towering over them.

The new scene with him :333 I loved that a lot personally, mainly because oh new background to overanalyze and try to figure out how RSS artists drew that! I wonder what brushes or effects they use!! He changed so much I was surprised. This guy??? Is?? Is he the same Leander from demo 1.0????? Hello??? BUT I personally don’t mind. When I first played demo 1.0 I was so cautious(?) around him because he was too nice, while in the new demo I feel like it was more natural, especially with the games setting. There were still some of his sweet moments from the first demo and it kind of added onto that and I liked that a lot because I think I’d be very confused if he was rewritten entirely.

OH the bloodhounds changing to the adderstones, personally I don’t mind, and also I remember someone saying that the new name fits them more for a very specific reason and I unfortunately can’t remember who said it but it was someone here on tumblr. Also I like how the adderstones actually have a personality now instead of just being a mindless group that follow Leander.

I felt very happy when I got to leave him instead of deal with his teasing about stealing our key, because that is something I’d definitely do. I like the new expressions a lot too it’s very pretty. Vere felt more alive this time and I liked that. I mean he did in the first demo version but here with the new interactions and sprites it’s more noticeable and more natural, to me at least. Oh his new dialogue about Kuras was a bit funny to me, but also I didn’t expect that I expected him to just rant about his deep hatred for him but also it’s Vere he makes a lot of those jokes so it makes sense

i have silly design quirks for Gary actually, like how he has double eyelids and sometimes I have a hc were he has green and blue heterochromia because of that one single frame of Gary with a blue eye i saw, As a child (like 4 or 5 or smth there.) he was really reserved since he knew alot of children who came up to him wanted to be friends with him bc of well, prof oak, but when Ash approached him he just knew it wasnt for prof oak (Ash probably didnt even know prof oak at the age.)

Gary and Ash were probably the same height or possibly Ash was even by an inch or two taller than Gary as a child, which led to Gary doing all the habits that would quote on quote make him grow taller like vegetables and such (which he didnt need because he was gonna grow taller anyway.) he's probably either 5' or 5'3 which is big for a 10 year old.. man he's taller than me, what, He grows to be 6' foot or more when he becomes an adult

Id like to think that he was there during his parents uh... parents begone incident, associated with fire but i wont delve that deep into that, Gary probably blames himself and chose to stay distant and rude to Ash to protect Ash, also probably the reason why he choose squirtle uhhhhhhhhhh yeah
