"Wylan Van Eck isn't canonically autistic so you shouldn't be putting labels onto him."
Um? He's also not "canonically dyslexic" - as you say - because that term is never used in the show but there's no doubt at all that he's severely dyslexic.
Most people that are saying this just don't like the idea of a character they like being on the spectrum, and I find that to be a real problem. He's a very heavily autistic-coded character, and he is canonically disabled. We can put labels on a character that we relate to. As an autistic person, I heavily relate to Wylan. His characterisation felt very authentic.
Jack Wolfe's portrayal of Wylan is very autistic, and telling an autistic person that they shouldn't see themselves in his behaviour is just ableist - I'm tired.
This is a series set in a fantasy universe, they're hardly going to use terminology like ours to describe behaviours. Wylan just is autistic, just as he is dyslexic. He canonically has all of the traits of both. Just because the terms aren't used in canon, it doesn't mean the disabilities aren't there for disabled fans to relate to.
Wylan being autistic doesn't erase his dyslexia because the two are co-morbid and do co-exist.
He stims, he info-dumps about his special interests, he has difficulty socialising, he struggles to make eye contact, he doesn't know how to express his feelings vocally, he bounces when he walks, he carries his comfort bag and clutches onto its handles when he's nervous, he has sensory issues and is shown to cover his ears, he has bad posture and he struggles to read other people's emotions but feels empathy so deeply.
He also has those autistic t-rex arms, as shown here:

This boy is autistic.
Stop telling disabled fans to stop relating to disabled characters - it's gross.
