OnePlus 6, OnePlus 6T Receiving OxygenOS 10.3.8 Update
OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T have started receiving OxygenOS 10.3.8 update that brings the latest Android security patch and a couple other improvements. OnePlus 6 was released in May 2018 with Android 8.1 while OnePlus 6T was released in October 2018 with Android 9 Pie. The two phones are still on Android 10, as the update suggests, which makes sense as later OnePlus phones such as the OnePlus 7 series and OnePlus 7T series have also not been updated to Android 11 yet.
There are some system updates present in the latest OxygenOS 10.3.8 update. The Red Cable Club membership has been updated to 1.2.0.2, the GMS package has been updated to 2020.09, and the Android security patch has been updated to January 2021. The update also comes with the OnePlus Store app that allows users to manage their OnePlus account, shop for OnePlus products, get easy-to-access support, and discover members-only benefits. It can be uninstalled as well.

Xiaomi Leads as Indian Smartphone Shipments Near 145 Million
Xiaomi leads as the Indian smartphone market finished 2020 with nearly 145 million units shipped compared to the 148 million smartphones shipped in 2019, a new Canalys report says. The slight downfall of two percent was due to the coronavirus-induced lockdowns in the early part of the year, but the second half more than recovered for the loss with the third quarter driving strong shipments. The pandemic pushed people to start working online and taking online classes, driving people to purchase smartphones. Xiaomi remained at the top of the table with 28 percent market share and 40.7 million units shipped in 2020.

Telegram 7.4 iOS Update Will Let You Import WhatsApp Chats Using a Migration Tool
Telegram has released an update for its app on iOS that includes a migration tool to let users import chats from WhatsApp and other apps. The mention of the new tool is part of the Telegram 7.4 update. But another update (Telegram 7.4.1) released soon after does not include the mention of the new migration tool. However, in our testing, users were able to transfer their chat history from WhatsApp even after installing the 7.4.1 version of Telegram. This could be good news for people who want to move away from WhatsApp after its contentious privacy policy changes.
On WhatsApp, you need to swipe from right to left on the individual chat you would like to migrate and then tap on More, then choose the Export Chat option. A pop up will ask if you want to move the chat with or without attachments, which can be imported to Telegram through the iOS Share Sheet.
When you select Telegram, it will ask you to select the contact or group you want to migrate the specific chat to, and the messages will be synced for you in the chat history of the contact. Messages imported from other apps come with a flag at the bottom that says ‘Imported'. This works for both individual chats, and groups. Chats that have been imported show the original time stamp, along with the text, “imported” and the time when they were copied over.
