Eep! But Gortash is my favorite non-party character in BG3 (I mostly play Urge, and its heavily implied he had a crush on the Dark Urge before the events of the game, so that probably doesn't help. I also feel bad for him because of his backstory (basically being sold to Raphael as a child)) even though it doesnt excuse his horrible actions and what he did to Karlach. Still, It's very difficult being a Gortash fan.

this is just a mishmash of hcs (mainly eyes) :3

— some shifters have markings on their skin that reflect markings on their shifted form (tiger shifters having stripes, deer shifters having spots, etc)

— all telepaths have blue eyes. the shade and hue will differ from person to person, but will always be blue

— a small percentage of seers will develop vitiligo when their powers manifest (both Morgan and Obscura have vitiligo; Blake doesnt because i dont like him /j)

— some of the sunbound races have an abundant amount of freckles all across their body (this is most common with Warders and Air Elementals)

— dreamwalkers eyes have a chance to turn purple when their powers manifest

— freelancers have a wide variety of eye colors, in accordance to them being the most common empowered race; however, brown eyes are more common in freelancers than in other races

— electro energetics tend to have drier skin and frizzier hair due to their powers

— wolf shifters have thicker hair than the average person and are more prone to dandruff than most people

— illusories (thats not a real word 💀) are often born with moles on very specific parts of their body (side of the neck, on a shoulder blade, etc)

— when stealths powers manifest, theres a chance that their eyes will turn pink or theyll gain a white streak in their hair (sometimes both!)

— vampires pupils often become a cat-like slit shape after they get turned. sometimes, they become goat-shaped

— speaking of vampires; when theyre first turned, vampires eyes are a bright silver. over many decades, their eyes become less burnished and more dull, the only sign of aging vampires have

— maybe a bit stereotypical, but the elementals have common eye colors associated with their elements:

– air elementals — gray + blue

– fire elementals — black + brown

– earth elementals — green + brown

– water elementals — blue + green

— contra elementals often have chapped lips + calloused hands due to their powers

— some moonbound races are more prone to developing poliosis or going silver/white early in their life

i still can't believe that.. THATS what saint peter looks like. is viv really incapable of not designing anything other than a clean shaven white man? like i feel like i can forgive most of the inaccurate demon designs for the 7 sins and the goetia, even paimons (since hes a shape shifter) mostly because theyre all birds, but saint peter is supposed to be a human; yet he doesnt even have a nose! and i dont think hes supposed to be that pale either.

I love Scott Smajor so much actually- His X-life series like completely altered my brain chemestry and i have no idea why- And Afterlife was so fun I love Scott's vampire getting nerfed!!! I ALSO ADORE HIS AND LAUREN'S (laurenzside) DYNAMIC, THEYRE BESTIES YOUR HONOR

My favourite Scott series are the ones where he gets to show off how good at surviving he is. Like what do you mean he has to keep finding ways to die at the end of the series because everyone else is already gone??

And I especially loved Afterlife, it's what gave me the headcanon that Scott's a shape-shifter. He was just so quick to figure out how to use his new powers

I love his and Lauren's friendship SO much. It's kind of an old video, but I recommend his Bedwars episode with Lauren if you want to see more of them being chaotic together

Like in the moments that you don’t know what’s happening, you feel completely hopeless, and sick to your stomach. And you’re so so confused like, “why would they even do that? And then on the other side Callisto’s panicking, because he just reacted on instinct, he didn’t mean to reveal that he’s a shape shifter, he just had the thought of ‘I need to get my baby brother somewhere safe’ and now he’s sealed away, all comfy and cozy inside his belly. His instincts are satisfied, knowing that Oliver’s secure, he’s in a good place, and he knows exactly where his baby brother is, can feel every shift and movement. The other part of his brain that has been raised and nurtured by human hand and ideals is shrieking its head off in horror.

he can barely even think straight with his instincts burning like wildfire through his mind and has to wait it out so that they’ll subside and he can feel Oliver getting progressively more tired out and anxious the longer he’s tucked away and it!s making him panic in turn and overall it’s just not good. Because it feels like when Oliver is scared or hurting, especially because of him; it’s like daggers, straight to the ribs bc he loves his baby brother more than anything else in the world. But still terrifying. Not the best introduction to noms so far.

Liu started as a female character and presents as such normally. They are a shape shifter and can switch between masc and fem appearances but any pronouns are fine for them as they are gender fluid. Canonically they are still figuring that out for themselves as they were raised cut off from the outside world. We love and cherish our gender non conforming royals in this house

🎆 - Do you/your self-insert have any powers or abilities? If so, what are they and how do they manifest?

Necromancer (self taught and it messed her up), shape shifting, color shifting, acid blood beam, jaws that can crack a person's arm clean off, some form of bard magic (she can influence how people feel and control the dead by singing).

She's essentially a necrobard. Being able to just influence living people, but when it comes to dead folks, that's where she has the upper hand. Controlling and making the dead do her bidding.

She's only one iteration of Pancake. There's a lot of others cuz i reuse the same S/I for everything. OG!Pancake is known as Leave Death to the Professionals!Pancake, where she's a demigod who has a Deity's soul in her possession (and that lead to a situationship). UTY!Pancake however, is NOT a demigod. She has an extended life, being a necromancer yes, but she's no demigod. Including Leave Death lore in UTY was confusing so I cut it.

As for the others, she's half human, half alien. And an alien species I made up called Terrorvants. Theyre shape and color shifters, though with being half human, her forms are extremely limited. Doesn't stop her from turning into a candy colored version of the Thing, though. Being able to change colors of her fur, hair, mouth, antennae, etc on a whim.

Call her a Mary Sue cuz that's what she essentially is and I love her
