alright so I saw Across the Spider-verse a while ago but have only recently been roped into the Miguel O'Hara craze and have this thing where I LOVE to combine my interests so:

Crack Fic Taken Seriously idea: An anomaly pops up in Twst and after a while of Yuu and the others trying to fight it off (Yuu is a spider-person, which is how this version of Twst is included in the Spider-verse) Miguel zips in all menacingly and takes it down and sends it off to HQ. After finding out about Miguel's dimension-hopping gizmo, Yuu is ofc like "!!!! Hey you can send me home!!". Their friends all get a bit upset over this, especially Malleus, which means that, before Miguel is able to take Yuu to HQ to send them home, Malleus's magic fizzes out Miguel's tech and now Miguel is ALSO stuck in twst.

Cue shenanigans while Miguel tries to get his tech fixed at Ignihyde. Idia fanboys a lot over his tech and maybe they both geek out or smth idk. Yuu ofc asks him a ton of questions about the Spider-Verse and all the other spiders. Meanwhile, their friends (the first years) are upset about them leaving but do their best to support them. Malleus is sulking in a corner somewhere though being all "Of course I'm not upset by Yuu leaving why would you think that." while his face is like >:T. Him and Grim comfort each other because ARSON FAMILY LET'S GOOOO.

This is completely unnecessary but I think it's hilarious (and also I want to project without anything being weird): but Lilia, when he sees Miguel, is immediately like "I swear to the Seven I WILL get in this man's pants." and starts relentlessly flirting with him. Miguel is just miserable while Yuu watches, confused but amused, and Silver is kind of tired by his father's antics but does his best to be supportive and talk him up to Miguel. Miguel is desperate to get out of there at this point.

After Miguel gets his gizmo fixed, Kalim throws a big farewell party (rip Jamil) and everybody comes to terms with Yuu leaving. They all say their tearful goodbyes, the first years have a big group hug, and then Yuu and Miguel are gone.

Some time passes, and similar to the ending of Into the Spider-Verse, Yuu shows up again via their own gizmo to hang out with their NRC friends.

"Hey, Pete?" "Hm?" "Have you ever thought of how your life would be like if you weren't working here?" The cigarette stilled between Pete's fingers. Smoke swirling in front of his face, somewhat blocking his expression from a curious Porsche standing to his left. Through his bangs, he noticed how Porsche wasn't actually looking at him when he asked the question. Momentary relief spread through him, though he knew Porsche wouldn't be satisfied without an answer. "Not really," he said truthfully. There was no point in hypotheticals, not in his case. "I have," Porsche said, as if he ignored Pete's words. The relief settled between his lungs. He took another drag. "My life would probably be the same as it was before," continued Porsche, "but I'd like to think I'd be able to open up that bar one day. Maybe after Chay finished university or something." Pete hummed and exhaled. His cigarette was getting shorter. Their break would be over soon. "How come you've never thought about it?" asked Porsche suddenly, turning to face Pete. "Do you... like working here?" Pete coughed and dropped his almost-finished cigarette to the ground. His eyes were darting between his feet, his mouth hanging open. Fucking Porsche and his questions. Sometimes, he had this need to pry Pete open and discover things Pete himself wanted hidden; mostly because he didn't know what would happen if he exposed them to the world. He looked at Porsche with a dumb look on his face, not knowing what to say, but he quickly remembered about their training and how they'd get punished by Chan if they were late to return. As good of an excuse as any. He said so and left with hurried steps, leaving a puzzled Porsche behind. Hopefully, he'd have forgotten this discussion by the time they'd be on their own again.

the chb counselors would pull frank and hazel into their little group SO quickly once they meet them after the war

this is a group of people who remember little twelve year old percy walking around chb with the widest eyes and naïveté. they've heard his snarky comments, have seen him stand up to bullies, they watched him panic searching for his closest friends, they've witnessed his breakdowns and tears during the summers where he just couldn't do it anymore.

everyone else at the camp has a view of percy as another god, or as an untouchable being. they only see him for the hero he is, but they don't see the real him.

frank and hazel, however, got to see the real percy on their quest. they saw all his little quirks, heard every quip and sarcastic comment, watched him freak out over other demigods and legacies getting hurt, and they saw how percy is so much more than just a hero.

not saying that the rest of the seven wouldn't all be welcomed by the chb head counselors, but frank and hazel would immediately just click with all of them because of their connection to percy. there's a small group of people who know the true him, and they're part of that, and it just brings them into this little special group. they'd be invited to the sleepovers and told every single embarrassing story about percy while he just groans and attempts to commit murder by smothering clarisse with a pillow. frank and hazel would get introduced to sally and paul and just be immediately folded into their little family.

frank and clarisse would become an inseparable duo. hazel and chris would become so close, not just because their partners are siblings, but also i think they'd connect on their shared "being trapped somewhere for an unknown amount of time after being manipulated by someone i cared about" experiences. travis and connor would ADORE frank, i think for some reason pollux and hazel would get along really well. there would just be an automatic camaraderie between all of them so quickly.

yes, nico is the go-between for the camps, but i think frank and hazel would just automatically be so completely and utterly trusted by the entirety of camp half-blood purely because percy completely and utterly trusts them.

Guys, just as a concept: not every ship has to be composed by someone who is 100% a top and someone who is 100% a bottom. If that's what you want to do with the ship, all the power to you! But like, if you want them to switch they can actually. Don't limit yourself!

I'm coming out of hiding about this cause I'm so fucking anxious about sharing this info about Silvaire Canon, but uh!! Sil's canon ship is with Krile!!

I'm anxious cause of the types of reactions that come with ships with lalafells and any race that isn't also a lalafell :( But! For a longstory short of my brainrot with them, Silvaire through most of the MSQ is still 'a voidsent' or technically a 'villain' type character, working behind the scenes to play multiple parties (reasons usually literally just to cause problems for the WoL to force them to grow as a person so they they'll be a 'better meal' down the line.) Though the longer he stays with the warrior of light the less atherical imbalance he has from his voidsent/darkness affliction and the original person he was (the warrior of crystal from ff11) comes through more as he is a good person deep down! Krile, is the first person to clock him on his behavior and see through the way he acts around people due to her Echo! She can read his intent and tell if he's lying, as well as see the unnatural traits (slitted eyes, sharp teeth etc etc) that are hidden from those unblessed. She's the main person who starts correcting his behaviour by giving him consequences for his attempts to distance himself from others by seeming 'untrustworthy' - as she can tell that he's never doing anything maliciously or to be cruel to the WoL or Scions. It's a very nice slowburn relationship! As Silvaire recovers his soul through the process of healing from his traumas (Shadowbringers is the main point he starts becoming a person again cause of his direct confrontation with Emet, and then post Endwalker dealing with the Thirteenth and the potential of fixing his original home) and Krile is a good support to that, as unlike the scions, she's not as quick to mistrust him (or in Thancred's case to fight him on most things) as said before she can sense his intent for what he does, and as he gets more of his 'soul' back, she's the first to offer that olive branch cause she believes him.

There's so much more!!! Honestly!! It's a long goddamn narrative for him, hence him having an entire Google Doc Lore (Covering his original ff11 Lore + The Hound of Garlemald + post > Actual game lore) but someday I'll have it all written, and by that point it'll be a novel in itself. But uh! Yes! I've always seen @starrysnowdrop's content and it eases my heart of worries for the affection I have for the relationship and the development I've done behind the scenes \o/ Inspiration to overcome my phobia's to talk about it in general as it were! The Gposes and Writing that they do is always beautiful!!! And heartwarming!! \o/ Give them a looksie! Their work is wonderful! I wouldn't be confident to post this without seeing them on my feed. But ya! I'll be doing more content of them now that I'm not being fearful of it! Cause they're important!! And I'm a sap!

Thanks for reading and while it's none of most people's business I will say that the relationship itself is emotional attraction top of all, and sexual aspects are not the focus of this narrative >:( Lalafell are adults who can have fully established relationships and 'sex' isn't an end-all-be-all when exploring character dynamics. Fighting demons always comes with risks. Magical bullshit risks. Such as wedging a fiery exorcism stone into place atop a ritual pillar, and the risk of burning your hands so badly holding it there that you get benched in the middle of the apocalypse. Risks, like a self-sacrificing dumbass making himself into a shield for you, fighting off imps and withstanding the infernal storms of hell long enough for the exorcism to be performed— and the risk of maybe-sort-of-temporarily getting himself transformed into a demon as a result.  “Just a little,” or so the self-sacrificing dumbass claims.  The All Caste is involved, and it goes over Tim’s head (only because someone won’t spill their mystical-holy-order secrets to him), but at least Jason hasn't been permanently scarred by the darkness or whatever. Reportedly.  Tim remains skeptical.

Uuuuggghhh. I'm out of words to properly articulate today. But it's just something about how Dazai saved Atsushi and Atsushi saved Dazai. How these two are so intrinsically intertwined. How they meet and talk at sunsets and waters like it's their destiny.

The river and the sunset and the boy saving the man from drowning. The bay and the sunset and man telling the boy it's his city. The ship in the harbor and the sunset and the boy telling the man about the bet he's made.

It's just THEM and they make sense because they're them. They're so tied to each other and so important to each other.

The man who wants to die but lives each time. The boy who wants to live but dies every day it feels like.

They're the opposite sides of coins, or perhaps mirror images. Not quite the same, but still recognizable to each other.

Ok so in my silly little head the Apollo kids, Chiron, and some of the seven are the only ones that know that Nico is trans because of his internalized homophobia

Nico is disgusted with himself and doesn't want Will to have to deal with him

And Will, ever the sweetie, doesn't really get it but lets his sister, who is ALSO TRANS help him instead

And Nico slowly realizes that they both share a lot of struggles, like he's still struggling with self harm, Kayla used to before she got help

She also somewhat understands his whole eating thing because when she's in her depressive episodes her appetite is shit

So Kayla becomes like, his main medic. Because while Will loves him and is the head doctor of the infirmary, Nico is still new to the whole being loved and accepted thing, and *gasp* Kayla can't judge him for that! And of course, Will still doesn't really get it, but it makes Nico feel better, so he lets her take care of Nico instead.

So Kayla and Nico become best friends

And Kayla is loud and proud about her gender because she was still Kyle when she came to camp, so most seniors at the camp already know she's trans.

She's also pretty open about her sexuality, seeing as she's had crushes on boys and girls and not really hidden it.

Meanwhile Nico over here is terrified of anyone finding out he's gay, let alone trans??? He'd be shamed! Because of course he's still in the fascist Italy mindset, he doesn't understand that the world is more accepting

And she's slowly helping him accept himself

Sonic noticed the room turn even darker as the jackal moved further away from him.

But at that moment, when the door swung open, his heart plunged in greater darkness than before.

“Sonic!”

No…Not him.

Pain. The first thing he registered as he came back to his senses. His entire body was aching tremendously as he strived to push himself from the cold hard metallic ground where he had been laying for who knows how long. With a groan, he stood up—

Just to stumble and fall down again with a thud.

“What the—” he quickly whipped his head around yet this simple action reminded him that maybe that wasn’t the best idea at the moment. A wince escaped him. His eyesight was already bad in the darkness he was plunged in, dizziness on top of that would only aggravate the situation.

However, knowing he could not rely on his blurry vision, he used his other senses. He could feel something tugging at his foot. An attempt to kick the air with his right leg only resulted in the echoing sound of metal striking on metal. And a grunt that he had a hard time muffling due to the sudden stab.

“…Chains?” he whispered, ignoring the soreness around his ankle and the effort it took to keep his breath under control, without letting another wince leave his lips.

He blinked rapidly in hopes to make his eyes adjust at the lack of light a bit faster. But it didn’t help. So instead, he chose to close his eyes for just a second, taking in a deep breath before sitting up. Now, he could barely make out the thing that was restraining his foot, silver shining softly thanks to the minimal light that made it into the massive room he was in, from the windows atop of a steel door.

Groaning once more at the thought of himself not being able to run, he looked around in hopes to find a way out. How exactly, he didn’t know, but that was a problem he would deal with later. He searched for the source of light, turning his head around just to find that the only way out was—what seemed like to him—miles away. There was a good chance the door was seal shut and locked but breaking through the windows would be a piece of cake; he just needed a spindash.

It actually means so much to me that Stede seems happy to finally settle down. He used to think that he needed action and adventure to escape a monotonous life, yet here he is giving up piracy to become an innkeeper with the love of his life. And so it was never about becoming a pirate, but about being able to choose the life he wanted to live. And turns out he just wants a peaceful life with Ed, and he never needed much more than that.

Look. Don't get me wrong. I love the batjokes fandom literally everyone I've interacted with has been SO nice for such an insane ship it's a surprisingly chill fandom.

That being said... sometimes I feel Weird because a lot of the community (not all! but a large part) is like haha yeah my favorite fucked up toxic problematic ship love how twisted it is >:) batman wants to fuck that clown even though he literally killed his whole ass son it's so fucked I love it.

But I'm just over here like... what if they both got better together and processed their trauma and Joker made amends with everyone and everyone was happy and content as a family.

Like, the most compelling thing for ME in Batjokes is easily Bruce's refusal to view Joker the way most other people do. Even in arcs where he does dehumanize Joker, he at the very least makes an attempt to understand him. Everyone else is just like yeah, he's evil, he's just doing this shit because he enjoys it because he's a monster. But even when their relationship is at its worst, like in Joker War, Batman tries to understand where Joker is coming from. He doesn't just assume oh yeah Joker is just doing this because he's evil there's no logic behind his crimes he just enjoys it.

Bruce actually understands that Joker is trying to show him something, i.e., that he isn't being Batman right (in Joker's opinion). And even after Joker literally tears down his life, fucking reanimates his dead father figure to torment him and re-enacts his childhood trauma on the city, Bruce STILL ends up agreeing that he had a point!

Like to ME... Batjokes is about loving someone so transcendentally that you devote your entire existence to helping them. It's about having compassion for someone even after they commit horrific atrocities. It's about loving someone who everyone else hates and views as a monster. It's about someone loving the parts of someone that they consider terrible and unlovable. It's about being misunderstood your entire life and finally finding someone who gets it. It's about love for one person motivating you to stay alive in a world that's been nothing but cruel to you. It's about finding someone who makes everything awful that's ever happened to you seem worth it. But most importantly it's about the refusal to give up on someone who everyone else has long since declared a lost cause.

Something about starting The Bear for SydneyxCarmy, and finishing it for Richie and Carmy.

The conversation about purpose. Richie asks if Carmy ever thinks about purpose and responds, "I love you but I don't have time for this." He looks at him for about 2 seconds and decides whatever it is, he has time for it. Gets a chair, and sits down. And Richie, who's never felt like he belonged anywhere, has someone who loves him enough to make a spot for him. Richie's scared they're all gonna wake up one day, and see him the same way he sees himself and drop him, but surprise surprise, Carmy already sees through all the bs and he still loves him and he still wants him CAUSE THEY'RE FAMILY. Like what am I supposed to do with that?

The "no one's laughing" comment.

Carmy yells horrible things at him through the walk-in door, tells him he's a loser, tells him he hates him and he should have cut him out, brings his daughter into it, and Richie just responds with "I love you" over and over again. LIKE COME ON YOU KNOW I WAS CRYING

Richie used to blow up when people brought his daughter into conversations like that i.e., the stabbing incident. But he knows Carmy, and he knows he pushes people away when they get too close, he knows Carmy doesn't feel like he doesn't deserve to have anything good happen to him, he knows he's waiting for the shoe to drop. I just love the strength that he has to stand there and listen to that and just respond with "I love you." and keep repeating it. He's not trying to reason with him, and he doesn't get upset, he knows Carmy doesn't mean a thing he says in that walk-in, and he's not gonna let Carmy push him away.

i just love them so much that's all
