It's always funny to me when in an lu fic the chain is offered bananas and don't accept them. Like, you're offering these high energy adventures free food?? Fruit they'll have never even heard of before??? A ridiculously expensive imported good at best?? AND it boosts your attack?

Not ONE of these idiots would ever turn down something new and interesting to eat at least once. They'd be all over those bananas and immediately get dubbed yiga and I'm honestly surprised no one has used it in a fic yet 🤭

Some of the character ideas got moved around, and the core idea of this story has totally changed from my original ideas of a sort of psuedo-airsoft with an arms race, as they chase those sweet ad dollars... Now it's a bit bleaker 🤪

Yeah... I remember seeing the architectural design majors at my uni having this breakdown each semester...

#love in the air #lita #rain #scriptwriting was the only course within my major famous for making people openly cry #because the professor would eviscerate you with her feedback #not to be mean; but she would look at the feedback you'd already been given by your classmates over and over throughout the course #and if you still hadn't fixed issues she'd really stab into them and rip you apart #she liked me though- i followed the syllabus due dates and no one else did #meaning day 1 i already had a treatment ready by the first class #and even though she told me the syllabus schedule didn't need to be followed; i chose to follow it #because it kept me a week ahead or so #So when I finished each 200+ page draft of my script I was finishing it a week early #which let me focus on other exams in other classes and manage my workload more easily #the only time scriptwriting made me cry was when i spent 6 hours typing draft 6 of a 214 page feature and my computer crashed #erased the whole thing #i'd been typing up the script based on hand notes i'd written on my previous draft so it was easy to recreate #but redoing it took 8 hours since my hands were so tired #but that wasn't the classes fault; that was my fault #i did really well in the class; you just can't take feedback personally and a lot of writers really struggle with that #i've lost so many friends because they claim to be writers who take feedback seriously #and then it turns out they're little bitches about it and throw tantrums after begging me to give them feedback #so now I will not give a friend feedback on anything they write #for the record- the way i was trained is not to be cruel or mean #you literally just go through it like 'here is what I had issues with as a viewer and here are some ideas on how to easily fix that'#always offer a solution #and for every complaint you have to give a complementt #so i'm not out there like gordon ramsey ripping into people; it's very gentle and kind #except when i gave M her round 6 feedback on her script and she STILL insisted Mt Everest was 3 billion years old in her story #AT EVERY STAGE OF THIS SCRIPT I REMINDED YOU IT IS AROUND 30 MILLION YEARS OLD GET IT THROUGH YOUR-

i spent all morning looking for the cheapest ways to get to venice next monday and i feel like i've cracked the code or something i think i got it

#i have to talk it with my mum cause she's the one with the money #but i've seen some good ideas #i have 5 options for now #for some reason flights to and from venice from madrid are expensive as fuck #so i'll have to get to another airport first #here are my options. keep in mind the exam i have to take is on monday 10 at 9:30 am. also ideally i wouldn't want to pay a hotel room #in venice. cause they're expensive as fuck #so let's see. you can also help me out all help is welcomed:#option 1. on sunday i get on a train to barcelona. i sleep in bcn (most likely in a hostel at the airport)#and at 6:35 am there's a flight to venice from bcn for 64€#i arrive at 8:25. i go take the exam #and there's another flight off from venice to bcn at 16:45 for 75€#this is the cheapest flight out of venice i could find so this will always be the flight back #and then i arrive at bcn at 18:45 and have cheap trains to madrid at around 20:00 #option 2. i think this is the most likely one. it's similar to the previous one BUT instead of bcn i'd be flying from alacant #why is this important? because i have family there #more precisely my grandpa's sister. who just had a surgery #and my grandma wanted to go visit her. she was literally talking about this two days ago #so. if my mum agrees to it. she could drive us three to alacant on sunday #we would sleep at my great aunt (?)'s place #and then i'd have a flight at 5:45 to venice for 70€#i'll get to venice at 8:00 and then the going home plan is the same #if she doesn't agree i have trains to alacant for 49€. and even if i wouldn't sleep with family (i have tons in alacant not just #the great aunt) hotels are definitely cheaper than in bcn #option 3. there's a flight from santander on sunday 9 for 14€ !!!!!#i could get on a night bus to santander for 71€ and be there at 6:30. the flight is at 10:10 and i would be in venice at 12:15 #i would have to sleep in venice but i think it would compensate for the flight being so cheap #and then you know the drill with the flight to bcn #option 4. this is also quite likely i think this is the cheapest and my favourite i think.#i could fly on sunday to florence from madrid for 54€. i would arrive at florence at 12:15

#I can average like 2500 words a day for a while and then something gets in the way and I don't write for a week or something #which then sort of erases my previous Doing Good At Keeping Up With It lol.. but... alas #Still moving slowly forward...#There's a 'community board' place in game where you can go to look at a few things and some of whats there is little 'odd jobs' the player #can do for a little extra coin (since you can buy items in the game/might need coin).#Thhough of course since it's just interactive fiction/visual novel it's not like... actual minigames or something. Just like..#mini stories of your character going places and doing stuff and having some interactions with the other places in the world #Like for example since modern refrigerators don't exist in this world one of the odd jobs you can do is help with doing ice deliveries #or there's one odd job where you assist a guy recharging the city's main bell tower/time keeping place by helping him go around and replace #the iriminel crystals (kind of like magical batteries - stones that are able to store energy that way and be used to fuel passive #enchantments). or one where you help food prep for the cooks at a nearby automat. etc. etc.#Just little short things to get a better glimpse of how the wider city is outside of just interacting with the main characters. plus earn #a tiny bit of coin. Though because they're so short there's not really branching paths or anything much for choices beyond #usually an optional dialogye menu where you can talk to the person you're working with and ask them personal #or work related questions if inclined to do so. It'd be cool if they were more in depth but.......erugh...#I have so much writing left to do already lol.. Also since it's really just to get money I could have just had them #all be like a single sentence of 'you go here and you do this all day then you come home. + 15 coins. yaay' and thats all #So maybe it's a middle ground to elaborate upon them at all. Just enough extra details to maybe be a little interesting #like ''ooh my character is in a little cart riding through the misty morning forest on their way to deliver ice'' . but also not so much #that it takes away time from like... the literal actual main game lol #ANYWAY. That's what all these are. There are like 10 optional little world exploring/job things you can do. and each I guess seem to be #about 2.500 words ish. That's including the optional chatting menus though. but still. reasonable for a little side thing I guess.#I got finished with one character's quests and stuff so I decided to take a break to work on some of the other little things like the Odd #Jobs and the 8 characters you can find around the world to have short conversations with that aren't actual main characters either. etc.#Then I shall return back to the Main Actual Things. ... augh...... still so much to do...#Which I could also just cut everything extra out but... idk.. since it's mostly all text I feel the need to give more options to flesh out #the actual setting somehow. Since in a 3D game you can walk around and explore the world and stuff. And of course there #are pictures. but it would take me infinitely longer to do detailed art of so much of the entire city youre in or etc. So i guess my versio #of still having some amount of ''exploration'' is just.. set up optional paths where more of the world can at least be Described.#You can't actually walk through a 3d orchard. or an elaborate bell tower. or an elven shrine. But you can Read About being in them LOL

so not only is my smoke detector's battery still chirping

my ac broke yesterday morning. and it's being super loud now AND im hot.

This apartment is currently over-stimulation station..

im going to have to rewatch pacific rim again and take my own notes on the timeline because the timeline given on the wiki makes NO SENSE. supposedly the double event was jan. 8 and pitfall was jan. 12, but newt was in the bone slums from before otachi's attack right up until his drift with hermann, which was DURING pitfall. you cannot tell me that was four days.
