Episode 1: Our Song Is The Way You Laugh

Our 10 contestants have arrived at a luxurious island mansion (Tropical House by JadedSidhe) ready to meet the bachelorette and have the summer of their lives! (finally, after all these years)

This will also be the official order of the contestants for the interviews and stuff!

Note: I changed a few hairstyles and makeup items because I couldn't find the original ones but I tried my best to keep it close to the original ones.

Keep in mind, with this format of the BC, I won't tag the eliminated sim's creator to avoid spoilers for them (and tagging everyone every episode would make me feel like I'm annoying lol), so to the creators - stay tuned if you want to know the fate of your sim! I hope that now, once I got the ball rolling, the updates will be semi-regular at least, so pop by now and then. I'm hoping to do at least one episode per week.

At long last, the star of the show herself appears in a lovely laid-back country-style look!

Cornelia: Hello and welcome! The production took forever and it felt like three years to me, but finally we're all here. Gosh, I'm so excited! I read up on every single one of you! And I can't wait to get to know you and, who knows, maybe find my lover!

Contestants: *cheer*

Cornelia: Now, on a more serious note - how it's gonna work. Our first two days will just be us getting to know each other and hanging out, I'll conduct little interviews with you where I'll initiate a chat and then let you take the lead, and the proper challenges will begin starting from the next episode. Don't worry about elimination yet, just have fun!

Contestants: *cheer even louder*

Lucy was the first one to talk to Cornelia!

Cornelia: Lucy! Our very first contestant, artsy and adventurous.

Lucy: Yes! I love everything that inspires me. You being, of course, one of the things that does. *wink*

Cornelia, flustered: Hehe, same here. I also read that you're studying to be a biologist and love animals! Just like me!

Lucy: Oh, really? Do you have pets?

Cornelia: Yes, I have cats. I feel so guilty about leaving them, but at least they're with my family, and I'm constantly getting updates on them. I couldn't even imagine my life without them!

Laura was next! (with Lucy still standing there and Lilian keeping a close eye)

Cornelia: Laura, your bio said that you grew up in Aurora Skies! How's the northern lights?

Laura: Oh, they're beautiful! And yes, even though I was born in Bridgeport, I consider Aurora Skies my home. Have you ever been there?

Cornelia: Just once, it was a tour stop with my band. But I haven't really seen much outside of performing at the venue. I hope I can come back one day and you'll be my guide!

Laura: You know, I figured you were a musician.

Cornelia: Haha, so you do have a good eye for details!

Laura got a chat and unfortunately didn't initiate the autonomous interaction but she'll have plenty of chances to talk to Cornelia in the future. Her current score is 2.60.

Meanwhile Lilian already managed to have romantic chemistry with both Laura and Lara! The Ls stick together.

Cornelia: Here comes Carson! I was excited to meet you, as it said you were quite experienced in ballet and playing piano.

Carson: I'm super happy to meet you too! I love nerding out with other musicians, so I hope we'll have more opportunities to talk. Yes, I'm currently pursuing a career in ballet.

Cornelia: That's amazing! I hope to attend one of your shows.

Carson: You're officially invited! Ballet is my life, honestly. At one point, it was a bit of a challenge because I started to lose my hearing and was worried about it affecting my career, but the hearing aid helps me greatly.

Cornelia: I'm really happy you managed your dream to come true after all.

Carson got a chat and then another autonomous chat! His score is 4.69.

Aella, who's supposed to go next, is playing online chess, Lara is getting a drink and Sara is just staring out the window.

Cornelia: Hi, Aella! You have the coolest hair colour ever. I'm even a little jealous.

Aella: Thank you! I'm a redhead through and through. Would you believe me if I said I even had an orange cat at home?

Cornelia: No way. You do have a very "orange cat owner" energy.

Aella: Someday I'd like to also adopt a raven. Or an owl. Then I'd feel like a proper witch. God, I'm so obsessed with supernaturals! I've met witches and fairies and some mermaids too, and they're the coolest people ever.

Cornelia: *winks* What if I was secretly a werewolf?

Aella: Oh, I'd absolutely freak out. In a good way.

I had a random idea before of Cornelia being a werewolf but it went nowhere so I'm referencing it here for no reason

Ivalace, who's been sitting outside the entire time away from the commotion and mentally preparing for the interview, is next.

Cornelia: Ivalace, great to meet you! So you're a botanist.

Ivalace: Yes! That's my passion! To be honest, being on an island is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I'm quite curious about the local flora.

Cornelia: I can't wait for you to tell me all about your plants! I don't know much about them, but I love when people are passionate about something. It's infectious.

Ivalace: I know right! The whole way here I've wanted you to tell me about your music as well!

Cornelia: Oh, I'd love to! We can just ramble at each other forever then!

Ivalace got a chat and then Cornelia wanted to get to know her. She stands at 5.21.

Cornelia: Hi, Sara! So elegant and proper.

Sara: You'll be surprised how chatty I am once you get to know me! You know, I'm super into music and poetry.

Cornelia: Oh yeah? I'm a singer-songwriter! Meeting my peers is everything to me.

Sara: We can absolutely have more chats about it! Although, something's lacking in my creative life right now. Maybe it's an absence of a lover I can dedicate all my works to.

Cornelia: No way, you read my thoughts! I often imagine how much richer and more meaningful my songs would be if I had a muse.

Sara, just like Ivalace previously, got a chat and then Cornelia wanted to get to know her. Her score is 4.69.

Cornelia: Lara! You look fabulous!

Lara: Oh, thank you, thank you, Cornelia! I can't believe it's finally my moment to shine. I couldn't do that awful 9 to 5 anymore!

Cornelia: And now you don't have to! Well, at least temporarily.

Lara: I hope I'll make some good connections here to quit for good. My ultimate dream is to be a CEO! And I really admire you, Cornelia. Like, you're one of the people I'm inspired by. You've already built such a brand for yourself!

Cornelia: Aww, I'm flattered to be that for you.

Lara: But do not think this is all that matters to me. I'm actually quite a softie. I have a weakness for animals! I'd rescue them all!

Lara managed to get two chats in a row. After that, she's at 3.28.

Cornelia: Hey, Kitty! You look like someone who'd throw some good sing-along parties for us here.

Kitty: Oh my god, on the way here I was literally thinking of doing a karaoke evening! You read my mind, Cornelia. I'm impressed.

Cornelia: Great minds think alike. So you're also an illustrator?

Kitty: Kind of, if you can say so. I write stories and illustrate them sometimes. But it's quite hard to break through nowadays and gain new readers.

Cornelia: I feel you, but with music. I always want to bring my music to the new audiences, but it's not an easy task!

Cornelia: Lilian! Oh, I can absolutely tell you're a music girl like me. I mean, quite a few people here are, but you just immediately radiate this energy.

Lilian: Yes! My niche is rock, but I also write my own songs, so we could definitely learn a bit from each other.

Cornelia: That sounds amazing, what are your songs usually about?

Lilian: Would it surprise you if I said I already wrote a song about you?

Laken: Yeah, I've never imagined I could do that. I've always been a very diligent student and workaholic, and this was all I focused on. Until some events in my life happened that led me to a bit of a dark place, and eventually I realised I just have to let myself live a little and figure out what exactly I'm living for.

Cornelia: Well, you have me, and everyone here. Maybe this will be a little respite for you.

Laken: My best friend Claire said the same thing! By the way, I can also credit her for my style. It used to be way more basic.

Cornelia: No way! Even when I first saw you, it caught my eye how colourful and funky your style was.

At long last, all the initial interviews are over!

Cornelia: They're all so great! How do I even eliminate anyone? I guess I need to focus and follow my heart.

Laken, Lilian, Kitty and Carson got an extra perk - a chat from Cornelia, because these four were the ones who had a "I want to get to know you better" pop-up when I added her to the household.

Let the day of the autonomous chats begin! This is to give everyone a fair chance no matter how they did in the first interview.

How it works: I set the low social need for Cornelia and everyone else and she immediately started autonomously coming up to people and talking to them.

She managed to talk a bit to almost everyone, so the scores shuffled around a bit!

In the end, Cornelia decided to decompress a bit by playing video games.

Cornelia: This was a long two days... But I think I got the feel of who's who. It's so early to say who I feel something for. Well, the challenges officially begin tomorrow, and I'll have some more moments with them, and maybe it will be crucial in me deciding who to say goodbye to. But I'm not gonna lie, this still stresses me out. Oh, how I wish I was fearless...

Thank you, and it's nice to hear from you too! I'm kind of listening to everything at the moment and unlocking something within myself now that I've finally got my own car and am having my own little karaoke sessions while driving, but here's some songs that keep coming up for me.

Sunlight - The Magician ft. Years and Years This has been one of my fave songs since I went to an Olly Alexander concert while I was still at uni and it really defined the second part of my masters year back in 2022. I'd wake up and listen to it on repeat, the vibes are just so pure to me! (it also helped that Olly's music inspired me for Sam's own music within the character verse)

What Goes Around Comes Around - Justin Timberlake I listen to a ton of 2000s songs and vibe so hard with them, they inspired so much of my early characterverse musings. This is def one of those songs that encapsulates the vibes of those times.

Getaway Car - Taylor Swift This was one of my surprise songs when I went to the Eras Tour last year! It had always been one of my faves by Taylor so when she started singing this after The Bolter (which I wasn't big on at first but grew to love after having it as a surprise songs lol) I almost died on the spot with video evidence to prove it lmao

Don't Stop Me Now - Queen One of the songs that's symbolic to Gale and his escape from his alien planet in search of his sister! I was jamming along to it while stuck in traffic on the way home from work the other day.

Bara Bada Bastu - KAJ So catchy that it was stuck in my head the entire time while on my driving test last month. I consider it a good luck charm considering I passed, lol.

Last week the quads of Gen 13 also turned 10 and I missed it through being sick! Their older sister Melody kickstarted this generation but these guys brought the heart and soul to it and are basically the reason for its longevity which made it the core of my character verse. They've came so far since then!

Spacey cousins! A connection that was strongly missed in both the original Slater and Lilygreen legacies, that's for sure.

Alana, the fourth generation spouse of the Goths! I honestly thought she was one of the long-lost sims that disappeared with my old hard drive several years ago but by complete chance, I discovered that I'd uploaded her to the TS3 exchange back in 2013! Just in the nick of time before I remade her as she's one of the only spouses that I wanted to keep during my revamp.

And here's Melody and Otis's children, Adanna and Dayo! They've existed privately in the verse for a while so here's their debut.

And here's Melody with Otis! She deserved a much better spouse than who she had in the legacy and someone that she had chemistry with, and these two are just delightful together!

Ten years ago today this beauty Melody was born! Her birth was a cultural reset at the time and kickstarted the generation that changed everything for me and is still at the forefront of my character verse to this very day.

Generation Eight

I fell in love with this generation all over again while archiving the Goths! They had a certain kind of magic attached to them and definitely proved underrated in the following years. One of the few gens that has very little changes!

Brooklyn, the seventh generation heir! Has the excitable and childish traits but in reality is the equivalent of midnight rain to her twin brother Orlando's sunshine. In the new edition she's on the ace spectrum but really wanted a family, so in an arrangement with her best friend William married and had children with him to put up a front for his homophobic family.

Next up on my Goth revamps was Bailey, the fifth generation heir! I had a soft spot for her for so many years that I awakened while archiving the legacy a few months ago.

Looking back, her taste in men was absolutely shocking lmao. Her first baby daddy will be revamped and her spouse remade into someone who'd actually be compatible with her. It's what she deserves!
