Replaying the demo (finally) for the loresheets and man is this lady funny.

First off, she comes out the brothel to see Vere with his nostrils practically pressed to MC's throat and is immediately like, "For the love of GOD—"

Like she's already frustrated. But frustrated in the way where you just know she's dealt with it before and she'll deal with it again. And she's all too aware of that fact.

Astrology observations #2

-people who lack an element in their chart really do surround themselves with a lot of people in said element. for example, my friend lacks earth and has at least 4 friends who are earth sun signs

-some capricorns really can't get along with leos, but they are attracted to sag and aries placements. they can't help it

-mars in the 1st house get sexualised a lot, to the point it gets too much for some people..especially women. these people are also very ambitious. even when going through tough times, they never lose sight from their goals

Toby can’t remember a single thing about his life prior to becoming a proxy. Despite this he still has PTSD from all the bad shit that happened to him. Stuff like the smell of alcohol and being inside of a car freak him out a bit but he has no idea why.

Clockwork and Toby use to be a thing. He rather not talk about it, it's a sensitive topic..

Toby rather enjoys other proxies company, unless they are have relations with someone he doesn't like or is uncomfortable with.

He doesn’t stutter as much as he used to when he was younger. He only really stutters when he’s stressed out or nervous.

This guy is a total pyromaniac and loves setting off fires for the fun of it. It reminds him of when he killed his dad. Even though he can’t remember his dad he has subconscious memories of something good (I.e. his dad dying) happening before a fire.

Linda is in quite the dilemma. Ever since Arthur brought his new best mate to live with them on the countryside her heart for her husband begins to waiver.

At first she disapprove of his arrival. Arthur just came back from a 3 month long work trip on the request of his brother and bringing a stranger who she hasn't even met was pretty suspect.

Only in a matter of days did her opinion of him start to change. He helps out around the house; cleaning the house, helping her cook, doing the farmworker and even play with little Billy when both her and her husband can't be bothered to do so. His presence also made Arthur more happy and understanding to her plait.

He wouldn't argue with her when she asks him to do something and he listens to her complains and tries his best to make it up to her. Over time she starts to associate his change in demeanor with his friend.

They would go outside together everyday for four hours and returning home with produce that they'll eat for dinner. Laughing and roughhousing with each other in the dinner table, often looking at each other knowingly across the table

When she really started to develop a crush was when he would personally drive her to town when Arthur and Billy were out visiting family. He would accompany her to shops to get dresses and accessories. It would make her heart swell whenever he complimented her and over time would view his activeness to do chores as a way to get to her.

"Your friend's nice" brushing her hair blonde hair with the new comb in her new nightgown Arthur's friend bought for her, but quickly realizing her mistake on complimenting him in front of her possessive husband.

Arthur's head perked up at the mention but to Linda's surprises there was no sudden burst of anger from him but rather an agreement, "Yea he is, the best mate I ever met Lind"

She thought nothing of the comment but of their trust in one another. She fail to notice her husband sentimentally playing with the new gold band ring with a big garnet stone as a center piece on his finger.

Months went by and her crush on her husband's friend didn't seem to dissipate causing her to feel guilty. However her desire took over, viewing the man as more fitting then her husband to pursue her religious endeavor.

At the night when Arthur is out on another one of his brothers errands and Billy was fast asleep, Linda approached him smoking at the front poarch.

"Night love, your not sleeping early? It's cold out tonight" He puffs out dark smoke out of his thick lips. Linda lost her train of thought for a moment.

"Ah yes, thought I would wait for Arthur with you" she says as she takes a seat next to him, she could use a smoke which of course like the gentlemen he is, the man next to her provided

"He's a goodman your husband" he puffs another inky smoke with a longing look across the gentle breeze of the night

It's cool send shivers down Linda's spine, reminding her of what she's about to say, "I would like to confess something to you"

Intrigued he leaned in closer to her as his eyebrows arched, "And what is that love?"

"I'm in love with you" she finally said it. The cold and smell of his cologne brush against her, reddening her face. For a moment she cursed him for being a temptress devil straying her away from her husband but now she's done it, the five dreaded words left her mouth

In response his warm hands envelopes her cold ones, a reassuring squeeze made her heart skipped a beat "I'm flattered luv, your the most prettiest rose I have ever met" He kissed her cold hands, as he rubs the other trying to warm her

Linda was speechless, she wanted this sure but she doesn't know what comes after confessing her feelings. Before she could responds, he leaned in further

"Can I also confess something?" Lind could only respond with a nod as she was to flustered to respond

As his lips near her cold ear, expecting him to confess the same thing.

"I fucked your husband"

TPOT 14 Mini Review

So this episode was...fine. The best parts are on par with TPOT 13, but most of it reminded me of TPOT 12, the worst parts of TPOT 12.

Best part of the episode, the elimination scenes. Using the failed debuters for this part was great for a reason I'll get into later, but the emotional parts are what really made it shine. Pin getting emotional over Gaty's elimination, making you think that's the worst it could get, only for Two to show up and have a reaction that hits even harder, Pen getting emotional about his last friend in the game, while Eraser takes it in stride even though he was upset, it was all so good! (not the scene with Eraser and Bottle though. That dynamic was boring and didn't go anywhere)

Another thing I liked was how many characters they ultilized. Like the focus is still on the TPOT constestants, as it should be. But they also gave small moments to characters outside the game. Failed debuters with the elimination, the scene with some of the eliminated TPOT characters(shoutout to Foldy for finally getting some lines after being irrelevant for like two years!), and the scene with Match seeing Ruby and Bubble again was such a nice way to end the episode. No jokes, no words even, they just let the scene speak for itself. Also shoutout to Firey Jr. for taking residence in the most flammable house ever and NOT burning it down, only for the contestants to show up and ruin it anyway. Definitely the funniest part of this episode.

I haven't said this before, but I think the reason some people get really heated when their favorite character gets out is because after they leave, it's like they don't exist. That probably bothers them more than their fav not winning, because it means they'll be irrelevant for a long time. But between this and what BFDIA's been doing with the hosts, it seems like the writers are finding ways to give characters outside the game moments to shine. Which I really like because it allieviates the sting that comes from their elimination.

As for the worst part...it's the pacing. Not just with the challenge, but also with the arcs. TPOT 13 did a good job of setting up some character arcs/conflicts. We saw Pencil try and fail to reconnect with Book and Ice Cube, Golf Ball and Donut argue about what's best for their team, and Liy try to form a friendship with Pen. Now, I didn't expect all of these arcs to conclude in one episode, they need to take some time to feel genuine. But in TPOT 14, it felt like they didn't progress at ALL. Pencil just doubled down on her approach with Book and Icy, which obviously didn't work, while Book and Icy didn't have any strong scenes together. Golf Ball's dynamic with the rest of Cloudyay barely changed. They immediately dismiss her plan and she works on it by herself anyway. There's a bit of progression here because they eventually work with her, but then her and Donut argue and the plan fails and the dynamics reset and it's like they never worked together in the first place. And Liy's desire to be friends with Pen is shown once before never being relevant for the rest of the episode. The scene itself is great, but until they follow it up with something it doesn't do much for that relationship. The most "development" it gets here is Pen calling her his teammate in a throwaway line. It's good that these arcs weren't forgotten, but they shouldn't be paced THIS slowly.

Some smaller problems before I go: why was Cloudyay so stupid? TPOT 13 proved that they could work together efficiently while contributing in different ways...but in this episode they make a ton of avoidable mistakes while, at times, acting like the same character. I get that they wanted the other teams to have a chance at winning after Team 2 gets the Ice flag, but did they need to do it like this? If the writers weren't going to use that time to properly develop the team, they should've had a second team go after the Volcano flag at the start.

This episode wasn't that funny to me. Most of the newer episodes aren't, their style of humor is just too loud for my taste.

And finally, the action. I am no expert on what makes a good action scene, but the ones in this episode felt kinda slow and floaty? It's hard to explain but good action usually has some weight to it. It can be fast and snappy or slow and heavy, but what really makes it work is the impact each hit has. In TPOT 14 though, most of the hits in each fight felt so meaningless. I don't know if it's because everyone got recovered so quickly or something else, but the action here was just mid. Which wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't much of it, but that wasn't the case. I'll give them points for being creative with some of the objects though, that was nice.

In conclusion, this episode was...fine. I want to say it's good because of its best parts, but the content surrounding it is too lackluster for that rating. So I'll give it aaaaaah 6.5/10 no, a 6.8/10 because I'm very clever and funny.

I think the hermits and their attitude towards wardens really shows the perpetual dilemma and difficulty mojang faces whenever updating Minecraft in the sense that ther is truly two major camps within Minecraft's playerbase; the very very large casual playerbase, and the smaller but much louder professional and technical playerbase. And then ofc you have the divisions within those player bases in general (builder/redstoner/speedrunners etc). Because the warden is meant to be one of, if not The scariest thing you can encounter in Minecraft, it's not meant to be fought, when you see it you're meant to just up and run for your life, etc. And in casual gameplay, that works well. The amount of players who will actually farm wardens is very few when compared to the amount of players who will properly just avoid them at all costs. But then you've got professional players learning it's AI, using it to scare their friends, for pranks, luring the strongest most terrifying mob to the surface for the sake of a prank, or farming them as a simple mob switch, or using them in their masterpiece of a game within a game. And then these professional players will grow so accustomed to the warden they'll just decide one day oh hey I want a warden head to hear what it sounds like on a noteblock so they'll just kill it, early game - before even going to the end and getting an elytra they'll casually kill a warden. And this isn't a bad thing btw I'm not saying hermits are ruining the warden, far from it. It actually shows just how... Different hermits and other professional players approach Minecraft and it's mechanic - what was meant to be a mob that shouldn't be fought and should be avoided at all costs becomes the subject of pranks and games and farms. Even when mojang specifically made it so there would be little aim to farming it, technical players looked at them, laughed, and found a use for them anyway. Isn't that amazing. There's something beautiful about it.

But it's those very same unintended uses and consequences that makes it so hard to add content to Minecraft. Whenever people say that modders are able to do so much mroe than mojang are I kind of have to laugh because it is said with so much lack of knowledge as to why mojang has to be so extremely deliberate with all of their addition. There's a balance they have to try to strike each time between developing a game for the vast amount of casual players whilst being very aware of the very dedicated technical and professional playerbase that will have access to the very same features. And of course, both these player bases don't exist in a vacuum separate from each other. And that's the issue - something that is obviously useful and fun for professional video makers could potentially suck the fun out of the game for casuals or, worse, lead to malicious exploits within casual servers. Genuinely such a hard balance to strike

As did Astraea and Damian relationships at the ripe age of 14 and 15, both together and apart.

Damian had received more siblings, the newest addition being Signal and aka Duke Thoman, rounding up the official Wayne children to Seven: one daughter and six sons. Unoffically there were nine Wayne children, two more unofficial daughters which Mr.Wayne couldn't claim due to their parents still being alive and coherent/sane. But they were Mr. Wayne's daughters and Damian's siblings nonetheless. Damian's relationship with his siblings (mostly Tim) was tumultuous and unruly, but over time, they changed. He settled and started to love tolerate his siblings.

He also developed a friendship with a boy named John Kent. (His only friend besides Asta). Even with time, Damian still found relating to his peers difficult, but after acquiring John, he stopped trying to. Damian had grown; Damian had changed, but he was still the same.

Astraea was still on the streets, but that's because she wanted to be. Damian set up and gave her codes to a few safe houses that his family rarely, if ever, used. Which she, in turn, rarely used. The 'gang' she accidentally started was far more structured and efficient than before, networking in a way that helped the most people. Her group had become a well-known secret in the lower and poorer parts of Gotham and had even extended to the outside of the city. 

Despite her growing connections, Asta still held that Damian was her only friend, even if he was hesitant to claim her himself. Damian was still teaching her. She did well in math, history, and science but still struggled with reading and writing below her grade level; she was trying. Astraea had grown and changed, but like Damian, she was still the same.

Damian sighed as he flopped on the bed. Things at the manor had been tense and uncomfortable due to Batman digging into a human trafficking ring. Pair that with a shitty day at school. He didn't want to deal with anything or anyone.  One quick message to Alfred later, and he was cozying it up in one of his safe houses with no expectations of him until evening. He could do what he pleased by himself, and right now, all he wanted to do was sleep. Taking a quick shower, washing the day's disgust, he climbed right back in bed and away from the world just like he wanted.

Hours later, he woke up to Find Asta lying in bed eating grapes in the nude. Body-grown Asta was no longer the little girl, now growing into her more womanly curves.

Growing up within the League of Assassins led to Damian being taught differently. The League had different approaches to things. While joining his new family changed some views, others stayed the same. For example, nudity was common in the League and not something to be ashamed or disgusted by. He was made familiar with the male and female body at a very young age. And this upbringing did lead to Damian's comfort with Asta.

Asta was raised as and always nude for her abilities. She found it refreshing not having to cover up due to someone else's shame, disgust, and arousal. He was refreshing. And that's why moments like this could happen. Unlike the rest of the world, Damian could control himself and see her as just her.

"Hello," Asta says as she notices him awake and staring at her.

"What time is it?"

"6:36. You've got time" Damian sat up, giving a 'TT' as he checked his phone and found a slow of messages from his brother Dick and missed a call.  " I put it on silent. You looked like you needed sleep." He nodded in thanks. " What's got you more uptight than usual?"

"human trafficking"

"The homeless, right?" Damian wasn't surprised Asta knew she worked more closely with people than his family(those below the elite, that is). This often permitted her to receive information quicker than the bats and even get details they'll never know. Such knowledge was an asset that Damian used for his own cases but did not share with his family. He didn't want to. He was selfish.

Damian sighed and took the grapes she offered. " It's the new people. Those who've been on the street for a while and know the city know better."

"Do you know who these people are?"

"The victims are homeless from neighboring cities; apparently, they're cracking down on homelessness in a bad way. The bad guys, you know, those pop-up trail clinics, they run those or at least some of those. You can tell they're bad guys because of how clean they are."

It was saying something that cleanliness is what tipped off people to something suspicious. But then again, it wasn't because Gotham Rogues, like Scarecrow, did like to experiment with the public, and despite being evil, they did follow OSHA, surprisingly. Most Gotham villains did,actually, because most of them had PhDs and special degrees. Gotham's rogues were smart as they were fucked up. Most of them contained some form of sanity, even if it was small and only to certain areas. The only fully insane people in Gotham were joker and his goons.

"Real volunteer clinics smell like bleach and dish soap." the afford stuff " These ones smell like a hospital, an actual hospital. Our hospitals don't smell like a hospital unless you're on the rich floors; they smell of dry blood and drool."

"Drool?"

"Drool".

Damian doesn't really remember what the hospital smelt like, but he could agree the private rooms and areas smelt better than the lobby. 

"So, we need to pay attention to well-equipped and hygienic clinics in low places."

"Or you can let me and mine handle this and just rest. We're already working on it." She moved closer, leaning on him. " You need rest." closing his eyes, he leans into her. 

"What do you have so far?"

"What I just told you, and we've been tracking some people, keeping an eye on certain areas, and warning people. We believe whoever this is, they're experimenting on people. I don't know why yet. There is no difference in those missing. Everyone is a victim. We've been focusing on protecting the children first," he hummed as he lay, and she lay down next to him. "That's all I've got right now. I haven't spoken to my whispers yet. They probably have more. It's been a day or two since our last meeting."

Asta had a much bigger network of information as she had many connections on the streets. While people don't always understand the strange things they see and hear, they'll always talk. And that's what her group relies on.

" Let me play big hero tonight. You just worry about the muggers and thefts. I got it." Looking at her, Damian sees her and believes her; he has faith in her. 

"You'll tell me everything."

"Of course, I tell you everything," and she did.

True to her word, Robin didn't get to be involved with the case, focusing more on the current seen crime. Muggers, thugs, robbers, etc., were tonight's focus. Relatively, by vigilante standards, it was a calm night. Asta wasn't following him tonight. She had seen him off for patrol and then left for her own mightily activity. While Robin was grateful for the semi-calm patrol, he was also lonely. Not having Asta talk his ear off and having his brothers argue off and on in his ear wasn't the same. It was really annoying he was tempted to pull out his comm.

Normal families enjoy little reunions and get-togethers. Their family argued and solved murders but mostly argued recently. Nightwing needed to go home, Red Hood needed to stay in the crime alley, and Red Robin needed to dip off with whatever team he currently had, at least until everyone got their head out of their ass. 

"The lady said no," Robin said as he dropped into an alley between the lady and four thugs. Usually, the presence of Robin (especially this one) was enough to send the most simple-minded/commonly sensed criminals running.  These men appeared to be lacking common sense. Robin will blame it on drugs. The dilated pupils, runny nose, and excited behavior were obvious signs of cocaine use.

The one in the front seemed to be used the most. He seemed most excited to face Robin, bouncing on the ball of his feet and pulling out a switchblade. The three behind him seem to have more common sense or less drug use to hinder their common sense because they weren't as eager to face the most violent/sharpest Robin to date. 

Sniffling and rubbing roughly at his nose, " Take a look at his kid," he laughs.

The woman cowered against the fence as Robin pulled out his throwing blades. Before anyone could blink, Robin tossed his blade, cutting the frontman and making him drop his switchblade. Before reacting to his wound, he got two boots to the face. Using him as a springboard, he knees the next guy in the face, landing in a crouch; he comes up upper, cutting the third guy. All this happened in a minute three guys down and the fourth taking off. 

He wasn't worried about that guy. He was more hesitant than the others, and sober, he'd make better decisions after tonight.

Approaching the woman, he offers her a hand and comforts her the best way he knows: silence and gentle pats. He learned that patting from Nightwing. As the Police pulled up, Robin disappeared into the night, leaving them to handle the rest. 

A quick but satisfying save. The night continued as such, with two more attempted muggings, one store robbery, and a carjacking, as well as walking one young girl home. A relatively slow night on his part. Sitting on the roof, he was joined by a robin. He turned his comm off.

"Hello Astraea"

"Hello, Robin"

"How is the case proceeding?"

"I know that word. And we found a couple of clinics and some goons. Saved some people."  she said as she leaned on his back as he sat on the ledge. " The organization is a bit more than we thought."

"I can take the case back."

"No, it's fine. Just these.... the people they took- they're going to need a lot of help. I don't think Gotham can help them." 

"Probably not. If that is the case, they'll be moved to a place where people can." He could feel her frustration even if he wasn't looking at her. He could not provide any comfort. No matter the amount of help, these people would be damaged forever. They had been taken from rock bottom and dragged to the trench and had unspeakable things happen to them. There was no surely happy ending to this case. 

"we'll finish this. we'll finish this by the end of this week" 

"That fast?"

"That fast"

True to her word, Asta delivered all the necessary information to Robin before the end of the week. Robin himself chose to involve Red Robin, Red Hood, and last-minute NIghtwing, and unlike the team, maybe everyone had their purpose. Red Robin was to collect more information about the organization further, Nightwing was to comfort the victims, and Red Hood was to make sure that no one present would go unpunished if not by the law, then by him.  Red Hood was also present because many of the victims came from Crime Alley. He needed to avenge his people in some way. And he did.

"You did well tonight," Batman said as he and Robin stood on the roof of a neighbor's warehouse overlooking the police and emergency services as they cleaned up the aftermath of the raid. S.T.A.R. Labs had been called to help the people who were now presenting as Metahumans. Gotham would do its best to take care of them now, but as soon as they could, they'd be transferred to San Francisco and/or Metropolis to receive better and more appropriate care. " all of you did." 

Robin didn't pay attention to whatever nonsense Batman was spouting, everything but the words 'I'm proud.' He was watching below at those rescued, specifically a young boy. The boy looked no older than five. He had a fire blanket draped over his shoulder and thick padded gloves on his hands. He sat alone on the curb, a bit distant from everything, his only company being a black cat crawling all over him and rubbing itself into his stomach. She put a small smile on his face, and that was a kind thing to do at a time like this. 

Suddenly, the cat stopped and looked up, looking at him. The boy did the same thing, his smile becoming bigger as he spotted Robin looking down on him. Robin waved at him, he could hear the precious child's giggle from the rooftop. The small accomplishment had him receiving a nod in thanks from the cat in the boy's lap. Now, that had him fighting his own smile.

"Robin," the smile won, "it's time to go."

"yes, father."

Wednesday was a very important show for me because of how it reflects female loneliness. There's also the fact that I'm a goth and a fan of the Addams Family from the 60s and the 90s, however the "loneliness in girls" aspect of the Wednesday show hit me like a truck.

It is known that men are lonely. I know this because when a man I don't know has approached me somewhere, as a woman my guard was up, and it wasn't the case with other women, we are more likely to trust other women. Men are expected to know how to put up with loneliness, while us women are expected to be more social and have a lot of friends. A woman without friends is seen as weird, while a lonely man is also seen as weird. (And I really don't like how a lot of people want to create a war between sexes - there are pros and cons to each gender). Loneliness as a female has been really hard for me, because I was aware of that social pressure, the idea that if a guy has no friends, "he doesn't need them", but if a girl has no friends, "there is something wrong with her". I mean, something was up with me, indeed. I am autistic but I was never diagnosed as a kid, and the fact that I am a goth also made people want to get away from me. Just because something was "wrong" with me (NO I don't think having autism is wrong, but going undiagnosed is because it can ruin your life) it doesn't mean I deserved to be so alone. Does any child deserve that? I don't think so.

Wednesday is not used to having friends so when people try to get close to her, she pushes them away, consciously or not. Because being alone is all she knows. But does she like being alone, or was she simply forced to get used to it? I can't answer that question for her, because I can't answer it for myself.

I didn't like how in this version, the Addams family don't get along. What made other versions of the Addams so great was that despite being weird, creepy and spooky, they were a supportive family. So yeah, they changed a key aspect of the family and I don't like that. But I still appreciate the show for representing the way I feel. It was an eye-opener, seeing how loneliness can make you push others away just so they can't push you away first. You very much develop a "well they'll leave me anyway so I might as well push them away now" mentality. I'm a young adult now and idk if it's too late for me to change this. Maybe it's not, but I am comfortable this way, like Wednesday is. It's comfortable even though it hurts, because it's what you are used to. Every time I've made a new friend, I've thought "it will work this time. Now I've found the right friends, they'll accept me like I accept them" and it's never the case.

To any Wednesdays like me out there, I hope you find your people, and if you don't, that's okay too. What makes Wednesday awesome is how emotionally independent she is, so don't blame yourself if you can't find friends. If you do find them, however, I hope you aren't disillusioned enough to shut them out. Take care.

11. When do you think a ship is not fruitful for your muse development or enjoyable to write?

Hmm! A good question. I don't really fully know, because I think I leave it very much to the muse's discretion lol. I don't tend to go into interactions planning to ship. So with that, I kinda end up not knowing what to expect! I could probably tell you by interaction how that's affected the character and their feelings on the other person, but even the littlest or biggest thing might change the whole trajectory. Tbh I think everyone brings something interesting and unique to the table, so in most cases i'm open to it if the chemistry happens and it feels natural regardless of speed it happens at. It's fun because personalities can have some real interesting chemistry narratively you don't expect!

BUT that's kind of a side tangent. The best answer I can come up with is if it feels like the mun is trying to force it? Like if the mun tries to undo every conflict, especially if their muse is instigating it, either by having it erased, or their character immediately trying to fix it? Or making their muse behave out of character to make something happen (especially if it aligns with the muse they're interested in's wants/needs), and coming up with reasons why after the fact? Even going out of character and basically asking what the right answer should be so their character can say the right thing, so they can get extra points with the other muse. It feels kinda metagamey and trying to force a good relationship to happen, and it feels inauthentic and kinda makes me feel weird and uncomfortable sometimes?

The other thing is if some of that stuff happens and it feels like the only thing the other mun is after is a ship between the muses. I think shipping stuff can be a neat side effect of rp! But my focus is on characters and how they change and grow and bond when connecting to others, and the constant ever changing growth that comes with being a person. So when someone is clearly there for the ship, most of the time they don't know my version of a character, just either the canon version they're interested in or in OC cases, that they like their look. They'll usually approach and immediately ask to ship, and I'm just not comfy without at least having some kind of interaction first, even if we establish a baseline to make that easier and not need an introduction thread that's an in-character first meeting.

Gosh, that reminds me of a story i find funny though.

It was yearssss ago and it still kinda makes me laugh at the absurdity. I had yet at the time the ability to say no to anyone. someone approached asking for an rp. I agreed, and they immediately wanted to ship, and toss Artair and his gang into a ship with their oc. I was kinda like 'haha i don't know your muse' and they were like Okay. Then just remove the single woman in the ship. Which is bonkers as a response? And i was like 'well maybe we should have them interact first, Artair is demi' which they they asked me to explain why he was demi, how it worked and why that would prevent him from liking thier OC, and what specific traits that they should describe their muses having so I could decide if he'd like him--- and then when i said i didn't know if hearing the traits and not seeing them in action would work, they were like 'okay just put him with the other guy not artair' .

i didn't know how to say no so i just tried to make it sound really boring if i wrote him, so they changed their mind and agreed to just a platonic thread with artair. And then immediately jumped into stuff like a demon chopping off all their limbs and artair needing to make prosthetics and attach them to this character. I distinctly remember that they said artair could surgically attach them and i said I didn't think artair could do that part, and they went 'well then who can' and i was like '.....a doctor?' with the most bafflement lol. It was wild, and my one friend still jokingly says 'paging doctor art-io' as a joke (art-io was because I said artair was as qualified to be a real doctor as dr. Mario was when i told them, i think xD)

That mun went to eat dinner and never came back to the conversation, which i was alright with. Then six months later they reached out and asked to rp again, and i told them if they want to rp, I specifically don't ship-- and they never responded and i never heard from them after that xD

I love the idea of Eggman of all people sometimes taking the role of responsible adult because you just know its so silly and might even be hypocritical at times.

for me this kind of depends. a more lighthearted approach like that would probably work best in something like boom where it wouldn't feel out of place, but for serious mainline contexts i'd much prefer if the position of maturity was used with malicious intent, weaponized against sonic even, in cases where his immaturity and naivety has caused things to go south. "this wouldn't have happened if you took things seriously and didn't treat everything like some kind of twisted game" kind of deal. while normally something like it wouldn't likely have much of an effect on sonic, i think when confronted in the right moment of vulnerability it would force him to reflect whether he wants it or not and that? that would be Interesting to see

Archive of AU: Star Rails Chronicle

So, basically I did this on Twitter, and I'm thinking I should 'archive' it here too since this Tumblr account is about TTTE (and Touhou) so some of you can read it and not confused when I make somw artworks or writings for this AU.

Like I said in my first artwork of Sir Handel and Peter Sam, In a nutshell, how all of this happened is: Sir Handel and Peter Sam got into an argument; Peter Sam met Proteus and wished Sir Handel would stop being such a prick; wish granted; now Sir Handel's memories are gone.

In my art style, I tend to give a character unusual eyes to emphasize something unusual about them; that's why Sir Handel's eyes look like dead fish. Since Proteus now hunts Peter Sam for the payment of the wish (which is HIS SOUL), he hides this fact from everyone but feels guilty.

While Sir Handel's memories were gone, he developed another persona (nice and thoughtful), because imagine waking up without memories and having people who claimed to be your friends and family tell you that you're used to doing awful things. You'd be like, "Oh my God, I am a horrible person." And trying to change.

But there's also a problem. Since memories are sometimes the 'binder' of your relationships with others, now that the memories are gone, who are these people to you? That's why, deep down, Sir Handel doesn't actually feel anything with them, but he craves to be a person again.

While now Peter Sam (who, yes, in this AU has a little bit of savior complex tendencies) is trying so hard with anything to jog Sir Handel's memories without telling the truth about Proteus. Since this AU is also an OC story, yeah, secretly desperate Peter Sam even 'used' Sri as a pawn to make Sir Handel remember.

2. Duncan used to work in the RAF with Douglas too. Before finally getting sent to the factory (which he hates) to work there.

3. Rusty is actually sensitive to supranatural disturbances. They (yeah, I love enby Rusty headcanon) can't see ghosts, but they know that something, someone, or some place had a different vibe. But they also like being unfazed(?) by the horror, if you get what I mean.

You can ask them to watch the most scary and disturbing video you found on the internet, and they'll say, "Hmm, this is not that scary, though." 🤨

4. Rheneas is into witchcraft and the occult. No, he's not practicing it or being an occultist or something. It's more like he got a stack of books about it and studied them.

This means Skarloey did know there was something strange happening on the railway. He just kept silent about it.

For context before I answer: you came to a (formerly shy) professional social butterfly for advice who's had a fair amount of experience with friendships. I wanted to assert this first in case I sound like I'm glossing over matters a little too easily. It's not my intention to but it may be harder for me to draw from your angle since it's been such a long time for me.

Anyway, I can see that the root of your concerns essentially boils down to the idea that starting new friendships is terrifying especially if you're uncertain about whether or not they'll last long. I personally don't view people or friendships in general this way so it's not a concern for me at all.

Personally, I find it very easy to get along with people wherever I go. I will say, it's definitely a skill that took me time to master (mentioning so you don't think I'm brushing away the nervousness that can come with socializing, I was once a shy kid so I know what that's like), but once you have it down it's so easy to walk into rooms (or cities) and feel relief about the fact that you can find people to hang out with easily. Because of that, I never really can feel alone.

Moving on to the concern about creating new friendships, I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing, you know. In fact, I'm very open to it because so many of the surface friendships I have mindlessly made (I mean people I've gotten along with without trying to pursue an intimate friendship with) have taken me around the world and brought me so many amazing opportunities. You never know what awaits you when you bond with new people.

Furthermore, I think surface friendships are great and even essential. I like the idea of being able to have a good time with someone without us having a particularly intimate connection. You don't need to exclusively have a list of friends where you're close with every single one of them. I have friends all at different levels of closeness and some which I would turn to for different matters/interests than others. That ambiguity is very refreshing to me.

I am open to meeting all kinds of people regardless of who they are because they may surprise you. I never stop myself from interacting with someone because I don't think they have best friend potential or because I am not thinking long term. I'm just here to have a good time surrounded by other people who also want to have a good time. If we click, that's wonderful but if we don't that's fine as well.

In my opinion, I think it would be much healthier for you to approach friendships knowing that they may or may not last forever and whatever happens, it's gonna be okay. I'm someone who's already very comfortable with solitude (not to be confused with loneliness) and am willing to live with it if someone doesn't meet my standards.

[While we're on the topic of standards, you shoudn't be afraid of having them and you shouldn't compromise them out of fear of being alone (again something that'll dissipate if you develop more experience socializing and realize how easy it is to find people to get along with).]

If you see cutting off friends as something super awful and hurtful and terrible, you will find it difficult to feel happy in any relationship. You may not click with someone as you once used to and you won't feel so drawn to them anymore and that's okay. People are allowed to outgrow you just as you are allowed to outgrow them. There are so many more people out there for you to meet, it's not the end of the world if it doesn't end up working out. The length of any relationship means nothing.

I think your preconceived notions as well as your skepticism of meeting people if they're not long-term friendships is really interfering with the possibility of meeting some truly wonderful people, even if they do last a short period in your life. You're holding yourself back from so many wonderful possibilities over something so small and generalizing people as (bad trait) won't do you any good ever. I would suggest that you be open to friendships regardless of longevity because otherwise you'll be placing yourself in a position of "waiting" which will impede you from embracing the present moment. Be open to meeting people without conditions, put yourself out there from time to time and don't impose so much pressure on yourself or others to make things work. I love socializing and enjoying my time with people I just met regardless of how our friendship will turn out. I was put on this planet to have fun and so were you! I say give this different angle a chance and see how you feel about it. It's been very fruitful for me as I've mentioned. :)

I hope I covered all of your concerns as I had a lot to say on the matter and revised my response quite a few times (hence why I responded so late, this has been in my drafts for some time now)

Really appreciate hearing that from you Rex! It makes me happy knowing how many people are cheering me on despite IRL stuff that I talk about on Discord. It really does mean a lot to me.

It's really surprised me how much people like how I've written Celeste's trauma and how she just continues going despite it all. And in such an optimistic way too. Though she is still scared of bringing it up to her friends out of concern that they'll see her differently; and that's something I've been wanting to write so that Celeste can see that they'll still care about her.

Her character anthem truly is The World Hasn't Started Yet. That Celeste still wants to be positive and see the beauty of the world even while including how messy and confusing it is with her own life experiences.

As for muses I'd want her to interact more with, I'm open to anyone really; especially from other regions so that Celeste can expand her horizons. Lately I've been fighting anxiety about approaching people and fearing that some might not want to since she's an OC and not a canon character.

Also really wanna write my Miriam more too; and I appreciate Rye for sending things there at the drop of a hat.
