Just him being young (maybe like early 20’s or 19 or something but young, you can pick) and he has a partner. But his partner had become pregnant unexpectedly. And after a really rough and confusing 6 or 7 months, they eventually settle on staying together and his partner wanting to see the pregnancy through (tho they don’t know if they’re gonna keep the child)

Tho ultimately, when the child is born, and Dazai gets to actually hold them, it’s different. And they do decide to keep the child

So basically that happening and Dazai trying to get his life on track so he’s not an absolutely awful father

You can choose if the port mafia is still a thing in this or not if you want more drama

And if Dazai is trying to either get out or work more to be more responsible

And if he turns to Oda for help. And if he was originally considering asking Oda to raise the child because he’s afraid he couldn’t

D/n - Daughters Name

Dazai sat at the bar, swirling the liquid in his glass around. Oda sat next to him, fidgeting with a scrap of paper he found in his pocket earlier that day. "So, what'd you wanna talk about?" He asks Dazai with a cocked eyebrow. "Don't tell me you're runnin' from responsibility again." Oda says, only half serious. Dazai sighs and chuckles quietly, turning to look at Oda. "You know me really well. My partner is pregnant, and I wanted to know if you could..." He trails off at the end, feeling a bit of guilt weighing on his heart. "Take it?" Oda finishes Dazais sentence, being met with a nod from the brunette man. "Yeah. I don't think that I'm ready to be a father, and I'm not leaving my partner, that would be shitty." His gaze wanders towards the windows, the sills covered in a thin veil of glistening snow while flakes fall from the clouds overhead.

"And why is that?" Oda turns his body to face his companion better while resting his head against his fist. "C'mon, you know I'm just not father material. I don't know how to take care of a kid, nor do I know how to bond with it." He tells. His right hand rests on his knee while the other grasps the short whiskey glass by the rim, the orange light from the candles cascading an incandescent glow onto his skin. His cheeks and nose are still slightly red from being exposed to the cold, winter chill of the dark city even though he had gotten inside five minutes ago. "You just sound unwilling to learn, if you ask me." Oda replies. His hand moves from his cheek to run his fingers through his shirt, ginger hair while his statement makes Dazai reflect for a moment. "I don't think I'm able to learn." Oda shakes his head immediately. "You're always able to learn. You just don't want to. I can teach you how to take care of a child, even if you'd still rather hand it over to me." He says, his stubble slightly pricking the back of his hand before he takes a sip of his drink. Dazai sighs with his shoulders slumped, but he eventually nods in agreement. His stubborn personality has a tendency to soften whenever it came to Oda.

Oda started giving Dazai lessons whenever he was able to on how to deal with children, especially newborns. He taught Dazai how to how to hold them correctly and how to swaddle them, amongst many other essential skills for having a child. It took Dazai a couple hundred tries to get the swaddling down, but he was a natural at the multi-tasking part. He could carry around one of Oda's kids in one arm and make a bottle with the other without problem. He was also pretty good with making children laugh, even without trying. Oda taught him how to bathe and change a newborn and told him when the child could have things other than formula or breast milk. He was doing a real good job at shaping Dazai up into a, at the very least, prepared father. Although with these acquired skills, he still had his doubts and second thoughts.

Even as he's sitting in the hospital room with you and all the medical staff, his stomach continues to turn with indecision. He's stuck in a daydream, to keep the child or not to keep the child, that was his only question in the moment. He was so far gone that he barely registered the sound of cries coming from the newborn, but when he did he immediately snapped back into reality. His eyes darted around the room looking for the baby until they landed on her, laying on your chest. Your smile was contagious and Dazai couldn't help but unexpectedly choke up at the sight of the baby. The way you softly shushed her and pet her head made his heart swell. He immediately stood up and reached over to caress her as well, biting back his tears of happiness. He didn't understand how something he considered giving away made him feel this way, so happy.

"You did so good." He mumbles against your skin. You thank him and lean back, exhaustion overcoming you. "Good, I'm happy you want to keep her, too." A small smile makes its way to your face. He returns it and stands with you while you wait for the nurses to bring the little girl back. His hand rests on your shoulder, rubbing circles into your skin with his thumbs. His eyes light up like no other when he sees the nurse bring your baby back and he almost immediately reaches his arms out to pick her up and take her. His breath hitches and he stares at her sleeping form, unaware of the tears in his eyes until one falls down his face and onto d/n's baby blanket. He bites his lip once again, making them all the rosier as he sniffles and leans down to kiss her forehead.

The sight makes your heart flutter; you really did think Dazai would want to give her away, but he clearly changed his mind. An even bigger smile creeps onto your face when you hear him whispering to her, his dark brown bangs falling infront of his face. "I love you so much! I'm so glad to have you here, you're gonna be daddy's little partner in crime, huh?" You couldn't help but giggle with happiness. You knew neither you nor Dazai would be the perfect parents, but he really seemed like he was gonna try his damnedest for you; for your daughter.

Turns out, Buck is very much serious about the whole thing, and Christopher finds it hilarious and is eager to play along. Eddie doesn’t have valid arguments not to do it, and it’s not like he doesn’t want to. After another snide comment when talking to his parents, he made his decision. And he already felt this exciting feeling of satisfaction when he told them he’d be bringing someone for Christmas this year – miraculously, Buck and Eddie don’t work on Christmas, and they took an additional day off, so their schedules allow for a three-day trip to Texas. 

So now, it’s Christmas Eve and they’re on their way from the airport to Eddie’s childhood home, and he’s nervous, doubts just starting to seep in. What on earth possessed him to do this? He can’t lie to his family. He can’t pretend to be in love with Buck. What if he really does fall in love with him? What if everything goes to shit? He’s watched enough movies to know it’s a bad idea, but he couldn’t and still can’t bring himself to stop it.

“So.” Eddie says, his voice shaking slightly, as they sit in a cab. “We’re doing this.”

“Yep.” he can hear Buck grin next to him. “Unless you still wanna back out?” he adds quickly. They could still say Buck’s just a friend. No big deal. But Eddie does have this petty desire to stir something up, and this seems perfect. 

“No. It’ll be fine.” he smiles at Buck, and then feels hot when Buck grabs his hand and interlaces their fingers, winking at him. Christopher laughs.

“You’d make a great couple.” he comments. He’s been unusually happy about all of this. He also asked Eddie a few days ago if Eddie loves Buck, which prompted a conversation, but he thinks Chris knows what’s going on now. Eddie doesn’t really know what to think about that.

“Thanks, buddy.” Buck responds excitedly, squeezing Eddie’s hand, and he can’t contain a smile. If not anything else, at least all three of them are going to have a lot of fun.

Sorry to bother you but I saw you were a fellow Clark lover and I feel like you were a great person to ask this question to: In your opinion, what traditions/culture things from Krypton does Clark do in his daily life? Ex, could be a small Kryptonian prayer before eating or a specific holiday, etc Clark in my opinion would do everything he can to keep his heritage alive so I was curious what your take on it was :)

hi!! you’re not bothering me, i take every opportunity i get to run my mouth about clark :) you made my day

first thing’s first, i believe clark has some instincual and natural kryptonian things that he does that he either was told wasn’t normal by his parents, or things that he’s done mostly in private for a majority of his life so therefore he has no idea that it’s not normal.

One thing i headcanon he does is bump his head to other people’s heads as a form of affection like if he likes you he’ll put his forehead on yours. im leaning into the kryptonians are like cats thing, i love that. obviously he doesn’t do this with everyone as to keep up appearances, but he does it with ma and pa and the league. Kyrptonians are a very physically affectionate people

Another thing he can do but doesn’t because it’s definitely NOT human, is clicking (similar to a raven), it’s a sound that comes from deep in his body tho so it’s not super loud and only really noticeable in a quiet room or if you’re sitting right next to him, he can control it for the most part but sometimes it happens without his consent when he’s particularly frustrated abt something.

Uuhmm oh i also like to think everything on earth tastes completely different to him, like pickles are like ghost peppers to him and marshmallows taste like cilantro or somethin. as a baby the jarred baby food always made him pull a face and spit it out and now there’s these two panicked parents completely lost on how and what to feed this alien baby. mashed up raw onions and bell peppers were like candy to him and his parents just had to hope that it wasn’t bad for him. stuff like that. he’s physically repulsed by cheese, all of it. the smell alone makes him want to vomit. (i know this clashes with my headcannon that he’s an amazing cook and makes the best meals, but that’s just a process of following the recipe and knowing how to do it cause ma taught him how, as well as all her special recipes, so to him it’s just a routine.)

i have more somewhere in my head but they’re not comin to me rn. i really gotta draw out my versions of kryptonians because i really do like to lean in to the fact that they are aliens and should look and feel a little more like it yaknow?

he wears the traditional kryptonian fits on special kryptonian holidays as well as father’s day. There’s a holiday that celebrates animal companionship (pets basically) and every leaguer agrees that it’s absolutely criminal it’s not a real national holiday on earth. The league celebrates every year.

kryptonian birthday’s work a bit differently, for the entire day your eyes glow and instead of recieving gifts and having a party, the person who’s birthday it was gets an entire day to themselves, no work or anything, they just get to relax and do whatever they want, a birthday was a day of celebration of course with loved ones but the custom applied to work and such, if it was your birthday, you were allowed to do whatever you wanted that day free of charge so long as it wasn’t illegal obviously, this was customary on Krypton because a birthday was considered a very important day, in a different way that’s it’s considered on earth. Bruce does everything in his power to take all work load off of Clark every year after hearing Clark talk abt kryptonian birthday’s once, and Bruce being fully aware of how important keeping krypton alive is to Clark even if it is in small seemingly pointless ways, he does that. Much to Clark’s dismay, Bruce practically forces him to take the day off and offers to pay for literally anything he wants to do that day. Usually Clark just wants to spend time with friends and family.

following this post, might as well give my predictions, even tho I’ve been wrong two months straight, so anyways, yea. (Summary in comments)

first. we average one book 7 update month to every one month w/o an update, anomaly in two months between parts 2 and 3 and then no months between 3 and 4. June was a break month, however it’s entirely dependent on the content, and for some reason I can find barely anything rn about the unreleased in en book 7, so I can not confidently say either way, but if we follow one on one off, we will have an update in July.

Now I’m gonna talk a lot of nonsense about the jp to en event release order to tell you why July almost must have the sunset savanna event. listing only og releases of story and culinary crucible events, of the first 28 on JP, sunset savanna’s was the 23. en jumps around a bit, doesn’t release in the exact same order as jp, of our 27 released events, only cc fish, fairy gala remix, glorious masquerade, cc noodles, twisted tsumderland 2, and cc cream have the same space in their release orders, but our largest positive and negative discrepancies have been by 5, with terror is trending being released five events later in en than jp, and with cc meat, beansfest 2, and cc spice being released five events earlier in en than jp. If tamashina-mina isn’t the next event released, it’ll be the first discrepancy of 6 in en’s 2 and a half years of running. Thus, I have full faith in it being a July drop. If it isn’t, I will in fact scream, that is a threat and a promise.

possible reruns are much harder to predict, we haven’t had one yet in 2024 and we’ve only had seven total in en’s whole run, but if July has to have one and I have to call it, I’d say beansfest: survival of the beanest or glorious masquerade, we haven’t had those reruns yet and they’re less holiday/season oriented than most of the reruns jp has run.

the Jack and Vil Sweets cc is currently within discrepancy range, it’s the 30th released event on jp, so if we had it in July it’d be in the one early/same order/one late range

rapid fire, if we get a club banner it’ll be ruggie, i don’t care enough to predict joint exams or training camps, we’ve got Leona’s bday on the 27th, i think this is everything
