Okay to make things more entertaining I’m gonna explain in Souls terms.

(This is all my understanding btw I’m still a noob)

Ok the tldr is that they’re a ‘Satanic’ metal band.

Info dump time of the ‘lore’ (there isn’t really that much tbh a lot of speculation):

So, basically, they premise is that they’re part of a Satanic church that tries to spread the word the devil through performing in a band and touring. A more bombastic and involved version of Shabriri trying to encourage the tarnished to take on the Frenzied Flame. Alternatively, they’re like Velka worshippers that wanted to spread sin but haven’t been trapped in Ariamis or anything (yet, there’s still time tbh maybe that’s their next arc).

Basically, the presumed head of the church gets the title of Papa and it’s (up until recently) passed down to the sons of a certain bloodline. So you had Papa Emeritus Nihil who is dead and an awful father (he’s just like Gwyn fr fr). He is also both inside and in kahoots with Sister Imperetor. They’re like Yurt and Mephistopheles if they were Satanists. No qualms with murder. His son Papa Emeritus I got the role. I don’t really know what happened to him tbh I guess he was just bad at his job. Papa Emeritus II became Papa and he was kinda scary, he looks like the rapper Pitbull (or Patches with a ‘tache after a 5 day bender in Ibiza) without his facepaint. I think he was just shit at his job and wasn’t destroying churches and governments so he got fired as well. Then Papa Emeritus III came along (4’9” and horny). All three got murdered and it’s heavily implied/confirmed that it was Nihil and Sister (III got Vengarl’d specifically) so RIP to them. A bit of family murder fun! Like Godwyn the Golden, except with three old men instead of a Demigod. Then Godrick the Golden (Cardinal Copia) comes in and is basically in training to be the next Papa. Except he succeeds unlike Godrick. He’s also potentially the brother of the other Paps (with Sister as his mother) which is a bit awkward. He used that mirror in the Roundtable Hold (plastic surgery) to look more like a Papa so he looks totally different now 👍

The band members are called Ghouls/Ghoulettes (less fucked up versions of those imps that take you to Anor Londo). There’s not really any lore tbh but the fandom interp is that they were summoned from Hell. Sorta like dragging the Pthumerians out of the labyrinths and shoving a guitar in their hands.

Oh, also all of the Papas (except 0) are played by the same guy, just for different albums/tours etc.

Rapid catchups, they name it, though it doesn’t really need a name, it’s basically just talking. Early on Eddie realizes he doesn’t know all that much about his sexy old-but-new long distance serious boyfriend, that he possesses a fuckton of outdated information, that, duh, people change, especially in the long-ass time they spent apart. That the habits and opinions of a twenty-year-old shithead don’t necessarily last until someone’s forties.

That evening, they do the rapid catchups, starting off easy, prompted by the takeout dinner they have at Steve’s: best Asian food, go, at which without a second thought Steve says Chinese, while Eddie goes with Japanese, love me some sushi, yum. Later, when they’re full of kung pao and mapo tofu, lazily digesting on the couch, half-watching an old movie where Sharon Stone saunters across the screen and smolders at bad men, Steve says: you have to sleep with a woman, any woman in the world, dead or alive, go.

Eddie groans and slides down the couch, throws his hands up: dude, I don’t know! Uh, like maybe— Cleopatra? Or maybe one of those amazonian greek warriors with one boobie?

So, no one you actually know the face of? he says, with a little smirk.

Man, I don’t— I mean, there are some beautiful women walking this earth, like stunning stunning women I can’t get enough of, but that don’t mean I want to fuck them! We’d take the girls with us, go in the summer or for the spring break. Would be cool to just wander around, shop, sing karaoke, eat tons of good food. Go to Kyoto, see the geishas, tea ceremony. Go to hot springs. Japan’s truly like no place you’ve ever been to.

I didn't know you liked it that much. A trip does sound nice, says Steve, with a small smile. Emily would go crazy, she loves those cartoons. Chels would like it too, I think.

Eddie smiles and squeezes his leg: sounds like a plan. Also, just to— get it out of the way: from the moment you first kissed me, I stopped thinking of us as casual. Imagine surprising Leo with a relaxing bath.

It’s the first time since Leo’s return that you’ve all gone to Casey’s grandma’s farmhouse. Now, the good thing about it is that it’s always available for your use!

So as you all pile up in the shell-raiser while Raph drives his bike with Casey, you’re all ready for a nice relaxing, well-needed vacation

Especially Leonardo.

It’s been hard on him after Winter’s. Sure, he’s rebuilt his relationship with Raph, and they’re cool now- everything was. But…

Something’s been weighing on his mind.

Was he really stronger? He didn’t even see the dart hit him, he was so caught up that he forgot about his own safety, and almost got sacrificed by some 3000-year-old stone guys because of it.

Not only this but, was your relationship still the same with him?

He beats himself over not sending you letters anymore during his training. He knows (thanks to a slightly irritated Donnie,) that you thought he wanted nothing to do with you while on his training; with no distractions. Or worse, that he was dead. 

“You should talk to Y/n, your absence has also been hard for them, much like Raphael.” He remembers what his father said when he came back. It rings through his head all the time because he didn’t mean to leave you hanging like that. 

You work on rebuilding your relationship after the whole Winters thing because Leo comes home at the perfect time when everything was chaotic. 

He starts by apologizing. He should’ve at least told you the reason why he was going to stop, but, he doesn’t remember exactly why. 

“I was caught up in my own world, and all of a sudden, I just stopped. I stopped writing.” 

This was a double entendre, writing to his brothers, yes, but writing in general for Leo was one of his strong suits. He loved to write. He was great at poetry and had a thing for short narratives. 

He has a dream that he can be an author- that’s what he would love to do. 

When you forgive him and take him back with open arms, he’s so happy he could scream.

Because he fucked up. He’s lucky that you loved him as much as you did. 

As he sits next to you and watches the farmhouse come closer into view, he’s excited. This trip meant that he could spend some overdue quality time with you. 

“Please, I’m beggin’ ya, there are kids here. And by kids I mean Mikey,” Raphael says to Leo before retreating to his room with Mikey already whipping out his comic collection for him and his older brother to browse. This innuendo makes Leo blush, but it’s not something on his mind as a priority. Yes, he’s missed you, and yes, he’s missed loving on you, but right now, he wanted to ease back into things. 

If it happens, it happens. He was content with anything.

He’s excited, especially when he comes into your shared guest room and it’s dimly lit. Sharing a bed and room with you was something he had been looking forward to. It meant quality time.

Alone time, a romantic time. Something that had been lacking for the year and change of his training.

As you both got the room with a bathroom inside, he sees the candlelight become more prominent under the bathroom door, almost glowing in an enticing manner.

It’s left open a crack, but he doesn’t know where you’re at. It can’t be you in there, so he opens the door slowly, wondering what could be on the other end.

He’s shocked when he sees it. He sees the tub filled with bubbles, as the humidity from the hot water clings to his skin. The smooth music from his favorite indie group playing on the speaker- your speaker. The eucalyptus leaves hang from the showerhead, and the scent fills the room. 

“Hey.” Your soft voice tickles his ears, and he’s set. 

As he turns around to you, he smiles at your form. You stand in the doorway, laughing softly at how happy he seemed as you explain what the hell this all is.

“It’s…for you. You deserve a night off just relaxing. Some Leo time, if you will.”

He accepts your offer as he could almost cry at how nicely you put this all together, that you thought about him this whole time. 

“Join me?” Leo couldn’t help but ask. 

You do. You do in fact join. 

And…it’s amazing. Leo unwraps his bandages and unties his mask, getting inside and immediately feeling relaxed as soon as the hot water touches his body. Leo’s favorite thing had to be baths, especially when he was younger. He loved to just sit inside and let time pass until the water became cold.

You take off your clothes, walking over to the tub as you sit in front of Leo, his hands immediately wrapping around you. 

He feels like home to you, as you do to him. 

“I’m sorry.” 

He apologizes. Once you both get comfortable and sit in stillness, enjoying each other’s presence, he just says it. He’s apologized for being absent and the letters stopping before, but he can’t help but continue to feel guilty for it. 

Your fingers draw circles in his hands, and you look back at him, kissing him gently on the cheek. 

“You’re here now, that’s what I care about.” 

That just sends him over. Because you truly forgive him after all that. After all that he’s done- or his lack thereof.

You forgive him.

“How did I get so lucky, seriously.” He mutters just loud enough for you to hear. He could die in this position. He was holding you, while you both shared a rather platonic intimate moment with each other. You chose to mix Epsom salt with the tub water, and Leo’s muscles and joints had never felt so relaxed in a bath before. That was your secret ingredient, just for your boyfriend.

So when you both seemingly cuddle in the tub, Leo, for the first time since being taken and having to battle for the curse of Yaotl, is 100% relaxed and calm. 

Because that’s how Leo is. He’s cool, calm, and collected. At least, he tries to be. Most of the time he is, depending on the situation. 

But right now, with you, he has nothing but positive thoughts running through his mind.

He thanks you with a kiss on your forehead, followed by a tight squeeze around your waist, he’s missed this.

Being so close to you, so happy, so at home. 

He can’t thank you enough.

King behavior king energy and he’s getting the king treatment yall!

Leo’s absence had been hard on him, honestly. 

He’s around you more, not that he didn’t already spend his time with you, but he seemed to gravitate toward you at any point. Like he HAD to be around you.  

You comfort him a lot of the time. Yes, Leo was your friend; yes, you miss him dearly. But, he should have continued to write to everyone.

Raph comes over all the time because the Lair reminds him too much of the memories of Leo. 

He thinks his brother is dead at one point. 

It crosses his mind while patrolling as the Nightwatcher, after being a few weeks overdue for a letter from Leo

He comes to your window, broken, with a frail state of mind. Because he really doesn’t want his brothers to see him like this, but he can’t deal with the thought of losing his older brother-his mentor-his right-hand man- alone. 

You take him in, of course, and it’s the first time Raph has cried in front of anybody other than his Sensei. You just sit there and hold him for hours, eventually falling asleep with his head on your lap once he calms down. 

You hoped Leo was okay, and when months go by, April sees him while on a business trip

“Baby, he’s alive, look-“ you show him the text from April, and he gets the same one just a few moments later from the redhead. 

He’s relieved but mad at the same time. 

So, he begins to resent his older brother. He had no business putting Raph in that headspace. 

So when Leo comes back and everything goes down, he’s so glad he has you. He appreciates you so much. 

After the fight with the stone generals, he sleeps the whole day, getting up to shower and see you. Because he wants to tell you how much he appreciates you. 

He’s cried in front of you, and that’s the ultimate sign of comfort from Raph. He often keeps more fragile emotions inside him. So for him to break down like that in front of you (and Splinter as well,) is a beautiful realization that he feels safe being vulnerable around you. 

He comes up to your window, smiling as he watches you brush your hair, admiring your body and facial features. As he knocks on your window and takes you out of your own little world, you welcome him inside, giving him a slew of kisses on his lips, and ending it with a soft peck on his forehead. 

He needed that forehead kiss btw

That’s his weakness. He likes loving kisses like that. Though he may not be vocal about it, you can tell by his face that he enjoys it. 

“Hello ta ya too, angel.”

And as you sit together, your hands make their way around Raph’s body. Your hands seem to gravitate toward his shoulders, and before you know it, you’re massaging Raph’s arms and shoulders. 

“Wha…what are ya doin?” Not that he’s complaining, but he HAS to ask. 

Because it feels good, and you’ve never done it before

“Judging by your soreness and tenseness lately, you could use a calming massage.”

He just looks at you for a moment, before he gives in, with a small smile dancing on his lips as he turns around and lets you go back to what you were doing.

He’s all for touching, and this right here was something he needed. 

It’s no surprise that he just relaxes under your touch. As you go to work on his (very sexy) muscles, you can feel just how tense they are. Raphael doesn’t like to stretch after a workout, so it’s really not a shock that his sore muscles are enjoying everything that your hands are doing 

He just sits there in front of you while his shell is back to you, and you can’t help but feel his shoulders- his biceps- every muscle this turtle has been working on perfecting. 

And he loves it. He loves that you find him and his body attractive because it’s something he resented about himself.

“I love you.” 

Now, you’ve said I love you to Raph only a handful of times. It wasn’t something that he or you said too much. You didn’t overuse the word. It held meaning, and it wasn’t something he wanted to just throw around. So when you told each other that you loved each other, it was seriously special.

“And…I’m glad that Leo came back alive. For your sake..” 

You say that sincerely, seeing Raphael break down as he did was hard for you. He’s always so strong, that it hurt to see him like that. He truly needed you to comfort him that night, and he’s been so glad that you did.

And as he’s sitting there in front of you, eyes staring off into a dark abyss since they’re closed, he thinks that he fell in love with the right one. 

“I love ya too Y/n. Really.” 

He makes small grunts when you touch particularly tense areas on him, and even lets a quiet moan out when you successfully got a knot out in his neck. It all felt so good. He could just sit with you doing this for hours; days even.

Because honestly, 2007 Raph just needs someone to appreciate and love him. To be there at the rare times he is weak. That’s just how he is.

incoming hot take/rant about natsu and his romantic pairings and his understanding of love

gonna say something thats gonna get me in trouble

natsu has more objectively romantic moments (and i would even dare to say romantic chemistry) with lisanna than lucy.

now, with that being said, i like n*lu more than i like n*li (i do still like n*li tho. dont know why pol hate it sm. its cute!). but like. on a romantic level, natsu has veryyyyy little moments w lucy. he has way more emotional, powerful, and deep moments with lucy. but they’re not romantic.

but as its been shown especially in 100 yq, natsu doesnt really have a grasp on romantic love. he doesn’t get flustered or blush around lucy (for the most part), he doesn’t understand that lucy clearly has romantic feelings for him, and i think the most obvious piece of evidence of this is in 100 yq when that lady (please forgive me i rly have a hard time keeping up w all the villains) cast that spell that made snow dolls out of “the woman held closest in ur heart” or whatever. for gray, just juvia appeared. for natsu, literally every girl in ft appeared.

i just feel like even in the very small moments natsu and lisanna have, and as insignificant as they are in recent ft, natsu always seems a little nervous/shy. at least in old ft. now, its also very obvious that these moments of awkward natsu who may or may not have a crush on lisanna are waaaaaay less frequent now. but in the very beginning of ft when we first learn ab lisanna was literally the most romantic interaction ive seen natsu have with anyone. and i would argue this is the most romantic interaction his character has EVER had. in the whole series.

now, im not an idiot. i know nalu will be end game. as they should be!!! they have arguably the strongest bond of literally anyone in the whole show. u cannot deny their insane compatibility and how they just make sense! i also know that natsu loves lucy more than ANYONE (ok maybe other than happy. theyre prob tied). but i think natsu doesn’t differentiate this from romantic love. YET.

i think something will definitely go down where natsu has this huge revelation that he not only loves lucy but is IN love with her.

but for right now, the most romantic interest natsu has expressed with another person is lisanna. im standing by that.

there should also be something said for the fact i feel like mashima dumbed natsu down over the years???? like in the beginning he was playful, optimistic, brash, and fun loving. i think he is still all of these things but mashima has steadily made natsu less and less understanding of social queues and more socially unaware. idk if that makes sense.

^but i feel like if u asked ep 1 natsu the difference between love and romantic love, he would be able to tell u. now, i dont think he understands the difference. i do think this will change, but for rn thats how i see it.

He just loves laundry in general. He loves how warm everything feels, he loves the smell of soap and linen, especially when it lingers on your skin so that he can smell it when he kisses your hand. 

☆ also, diluc is not 6ft?? don’t get me wrong he’s tall, but not 6ft tall. he’s more,,, 5’9-5’10, plus he’s kinda… thick??? like, he’s more heavyset than tall lean muscle. dw tho, man boobs are preserved, abs are preserved, biceps ykyk. He also was pretty thick hands, and warm palms :)

☆ alrighty YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT TIME IT IZZZZZ:: diluc depression and nightmare segment -_-

☆ has nightmares pretty regularly actually. Most aren’t that bad, and he can usually go back to sleep relatively easily, but some nights he gets it bad. So bad, that it would wake you up and make you freak out. he doesn’t go back to sleep those nights, but after a while of holding him and rubbing his back while he sniffles into your shirt and drinks chamomile (i dont think he’d like peppermint), he’s usually pretty mellowed out.

☆ get’s rly upset sometimes, usually after a rough night of non stop work or nightmares. sometimes he will snap and yell at you over petty shit, but will always make it up to later. when he’s not screaming in incomprehensible frustration, he’s just uncomfortable and overstimulated and does know how to describe it. it’s the level of irritation a person with a stutter would exhibit when they are experiencing a word block (which, coming from a person w a stutter, is a hair pulling teary eyed level of anger i have to regularly suppress). all i can say is be patient. treat him like any other human and not a potential business partner he will literally die 4 you.

so first we have megumi who’s dad is toji (duh) but they’re part of the zenin family business but they’re like the black sheep’s of the family if you will, so megumi does an internship with gojo’s family out of pure spite (bc he’s a lil firecracker) and gojo’s in charge of showing him the ropes and at first he’s just interested in megumi for the sake of getting tje juicy zenin drama details out of him but later he rly feels for the kid and how he’s stuck in so much craziness bc of his snobby rich family (and he relates a bit too) so he kinda grows fond of him in like an older brother type of way bc rich boy gojo is in college so he’s like early twenties and megumi’s like a 15/16 year old so it’s more a brother dynamic

NEXT we have neighbor one like you said !! i rly kind of like the idea of gojo like growing up with suguru and teasing the small grumpy kid next door but secretly they all rly care for each other and megumi always got into fights at school (and usually won) but sometimes gojo and geto got onto the older kids cases and scared them off and warned them not to bug lil gumi or else >:( omg and lil tsumiki had the hots for one (or both) of them even tho they’re older and rly only see her as a kid but yeah they know each other as lil rich neighbors who attend the same parties sometimes and megumi acts like gojo is so annoying and insufferable but rly he’s rly fond of the guy and looks up to him and trusts him in case he needs someone

LASTLY BUT NOT LEASTLY @autumnalsteahouse suggested the barista idea AND I RLY LOVE IT and it kindaaaa ties the first one in with the intern / mentor idea but megs background is different. so basically megumi is a young teen barista after school trying to make ends meet with his broke ass dad toji (jdjsfjf broke toji prevails) but anyway they’re related to the zenin family but toji knocked up this “lower class” girl who’s not rich enough but also has another child from a previous relationship (tsumiki) so the zenins hate her but anyway after he gets her pregnant by accident, he’s still rly in love with her but his family offered her good money to take the baby and leave OR get an abortion but she declined both bc her and toji agreed to raise the lil baby together whos eventually megumi. anyway toji basically gets cut off and loses his trust funds and etc and he’s a guy who’s tryna raise his two kids he loves with all his heart and his darling wife he’d die for but also they’re barely getting by so megumi takes up a barista job to help out. cue an obnoxious gojo that comes right before closing and orders the most painful drink to make and always pays with a black card and megumi is ANNOYED™️ but gojo takes a liking to the kid and megs off handedly mentions he wants to get a second job over the summer so gojo offers an internship—and then it’s like a slap in the zenin fams face that their (cut off) relative is working with the gojo’s (their mortal enemy !!) and toji could not be more proud LOL

What happens when Emily and Mitch eventually find Julie’s YouTube or smth. Like. They just see their dead son. Singing with the girl who gave his song to them a few weeks back. And they’re in the place he ran away to. And he’s just right there. 

What would they do? 

I think they’d be amazed and devastated and a little angry, cos the natural assumption (especially with him being at the house he literally ran away to) would be that he never left, his spirit just went to - what they would assume is - the only place he ever felt truly at home. 

If that were me, I’d feel pretty horrible/angry that he never came to visit or give me a sign that he was (kind of) okay, and he just fully ignored me. And I know he didn’t actually ignore them, he just wasn’t around at al for 25 years, but they wouldn’t know that and I wish we could have a season 2 for them to explore the angst and feels and stuff around that situation. 

Adding on to that, possibly the way that they’d find out is through Bobby. He’d see they’re all somehow still alive in a way, and he’d tell anyone he could that would listen to him. Including the devastated parents of the kids he was in a band with. 

I’d also like to just add that Bobby would’ve  been pretty gosh darn traumatised by the events. Like any normal person who’s in a band with three of their closest friends and then they find out all three of them literally died and now they’re completely alone? They’d be pretty traumatised. He mentions to Carrie at one point “I’m gonna go see my therapist”, and it makes sense that he’d have a therapist, cos three of his friends literally died when they were all teenagers. 

I also think that Bobby would’ve been one of the first people to discover they’re dead. Like either it would be those random people in the background at the start, or the hot dog vendor guy, who would realise these kids are dying and call the ambulance, in which case Bobby probably wouldn’t be notified (cos he wasn’t with them at all) until he’d come outside eventually to tell them they’re on in five or smth and either find no one there at all, or find an ambulance speeding away, or see a bunch of paramedics lifting his friends’ bodies into an ambulance. Orrr he would go outside to find them, and then he himself - a flipping 16-18 year old, a literal teenager, minor, child - sees them asleep and tries to wake them up and nothing happens and he checks their pulses and fear grips his chest and he grabs out his phone (under the assumption that the garage/house is his family’s, and it’s a really nice house, so the conclusion there is that is his family is pretty rich, so I’d assume he’d have a phone with him) and calls emergency services, and that’s the last time he ever sees his friends. 

And then the guys go and haunt him, and he’s probably already been haunted by memories and the thought of their still, lifeless bodies, without the help of actually being genuinely haunted. 

And yeah, it was rly messed up that he stole their songs and gave no credit - or even mentioned them to Julie or rose or even Carrie. But also the guys doing that is messed up. It’s no wonder he never gave them credit or mentioned them to anyone, cos doing that would presumably awaken bad memories inside him, which he very much would not want. Poor guy is bloody traumatised. And carrie basically not reacting at all to her dad going to see his therapist implies that he sees his therapist a lot, probably frequently like once a week, so not only is he traumatised but he’s getting constant therapy for it and still needs more. And yeah, it’s possible those are just regular checkups cos everyone should get therapy whether they’re in a bad place or not, but the fact that he was clearly verbally and visibly distressed, and Carrie still doesn’t react, implies that he might have episodes a lot where he remembers the guys or thinks about them or whatever. 

AND ALSO HE DOES MEDITATION, which could be a coping technique from his therapist, or a way for him to clear his mind and thoughts. 

Whatever happened right after the guys died, whoever it was to find their bodies, it would be bloody traumatising for a group of four to suddenly be a group of one. He’d need extensive therapy and help for that, he’d be very much not okay, anyone in his shoes would be very much not okay. 

He might’ve contacted his friends’ families immediately, to tell them what happened, cos the guys didn’t like their parents at all. Reggie’s we’re right about to divorce. Luke’s didn’t want him in the band. Alex’s were homophobic. They all probably escaped from all of that every single day by going to Bobby’s house, to the one place where they could all be themselves without hate. So not only would it be horrifying to have a suddenly empty garage every day, for your friends to no longer be there, to know that they’ll never come back, Bobby would also probably have possessions from all of them, and no one other than Bobby would be able to give those to their families. Not only that, they probably wouldn’t even know for a while, because of how much their kids hated them. It’s possible they didn’t know for literally days, and they just assumed that their kids were staying overnight at Bobby’s. They wouldn’t think to contact their kids, or their kids’ friends and friends’ families, they’d just assume they’re okay. It was probably Bobby who had to break the news to all of them. So there’s some extra trauma and horrible-feelings piled on top of that. And he’d break the news to them as well as probably give them some things to remind their parents of their kids or something. Imagine an entire fic or episode or something based on Bobby’s experiences after the guys died. 

He’d go to Reggie’s place, interrupting a fight between his parents. He’d tell them their son is dead. He’d give them Reggie’s favourite pick or something. Reggie may be a mess, but something tells me he doesn’t leave his stuff lying around, like both physical objects and real things. He probably always thought he could just internalise it all, make it into jokes, not go into detail about how much his parents’ fights affect him and how scary it is, how he has to shield his younger siblings when he’s at home, to try and keep them safe and happy. Same with physical things: he would seem like the kind of person to forget to clean up after himself, who would leave it all lying around. But he keeps it clean, cos if he can’t clean out his mind and his own house, can’t get rid of the fighting, he might as well get rid of the things he could, take control of what he could. So he probably wouldn’t leave much lying around the garage, wouldn’t even own that much stuff to leave around the garage. He’d give it to Reggie’s parents and they would fight more, saying that it’s his fault Reggie died no it’s her fault and the other kids would cowed behind a corner and Bobby would hug the kids, try to protect them how Reggie used to, but knowing there’s no use. 

He’d go to Luke’s house, tell them their son is dead. They’d cry, they’d scream. Emily would be sure it’s her fault. Mitch would break down and fall to his knees. Bobby would stand there, unsure what to do. 

He’d go to Alex’s house. He’d hesitate at the door, not wanting to interact with these horrible people. Then he’d knock. He’d tell them the horrible news. He’d say he’s sorry. He’d say he wishes Alex could still be alive. Alex’s dad would stare at him menacingly. Alex’s dad would say “serves him right, doing the devils work”. Bobby would fill with anger. Alex’s mum would say “I’d feel sorry if he could’ve brought us a girlfriend rather than that boy. And a rebellious boy at that, he ran away from home to be in your little band.” Bobby would crack, the rage spilling over. He’d yell at them, scream at them, say they’re horrible parents, they didn’t deserve a beautiful amazing child like alex, that it wasn’t his choice, that they should be at least a little bit sad that their only child is gone, that someone they raised is gone from the world and he was only 17, that they could’ve had an ounce of respect or kindness in them to make alex actually feel like a person. He’d take a small pride flag out of his pocket, the one Alex left behind, shove it in their faces and say that everyone is a person. He’d storm away, going back to his home. He’d hang up the pride flag in his room, bright, proud, loud. He’d fall to the floor, crying, lost, terrified. He’d be horrified that someone can hate another person because of who they love, even when that person is their child, the literal result of their love, and they hate him because of love. He’d reflect on hate and love, two very different but very similar things, how they intertwine with one another, like some terrible but beautiful dance.

7. Hmm I actually wrote a little thing before about ebi in a bath, so I’ll do this one with Ebrietas and Lovelace. I think Lovelace would know all of the little intricate details about Ebrietas’s routine tbh. He thinks Ebrietas smells soft and warm (my brain is like balsam candle?? Warm cotton? Frankincense??? Cinnamon?? Stuff like that) he’d undress him for the bath and use a loofah or a sponge and wash him, he’d use his hands to wash his hair (Ebi’s hair curls up when it’s wet, Lovelace loves to play with it). Depending on the size of the bath tub though, he might get in with him, though Lovelace is rly big (7’6) so he prob wouldn’t fit into a small tub with him. I think Lovelace would be so tender with him though for this sort of thing. 🥺

11. Ebrietas for both Lovelace and Erenville can’t stand the climates they’re both from. He’s a winter baby, he loves the cold, wind, snow, ice, etc. Lovelace doesn’t like the cold, he will complain about it, even Sharlayan is cold to him, but he frequents Sharlayan often not only to visit (annoy) Ebrietas, but for business he just bundles up a lot more. Lovelace travels a lot anyways so he’s been in a bunch of climates, usually when they are somewhere cold, he’ll stay in his cabin instead of being out on the deck of the ship like he usually is. Ebrietas would probably be so cranky if he visited to Golmore jungle, Dalmasca in general unless he was visiting the mountainous regions specifically because of how hot it is there. He’s more like a Veena than a Rava tbh. (He’s accompanying Lovelace and the crew in Tural so he better get ready for that too, Erenville asked him nicely and he hesitantly agreed)

12. Hmm I’ll say Elidilace for this one, usually Lovelace will cook something, for some reason, he doesn’t really trust Elidibus to cook since he doesn’t technically need to eat and probably hasn’t cooked in over 10,000+ years so he would cook the both of them something light. Lovelace grew up eating spicy food, but if he’s dining with someone he knows can’t take it, he’ll accommodate. They’d probably eat stew chicken or a light fish soup or something (Lovelace’s village & people eat Jamaican cuisine cos I’m projecting LOL 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲)

14. Surprisingly out of any of the pairings, I’d say Lovelace cries the most. He’s the haughty guy, but he’s also doing most of the difficult work as the warrior of light. Sometimes things get to him or his past will open up old wounds and he’ll cry, usually in private. I think Ebrietas and Elidibus see this happen most. Ebrietas isn’t good with dealing with other people’s emotions so he’ll usually sit next to Lovelace silently, just being there as a presence for him. Sometimes he asks Lovelace about it and they’ll have a conversation about it to help ease the pain. Elidibus will be by Lovelace’s side, wiping his tears away, planting kissing on his face, and allowing him to vent. He offers Lovelace, like Ebrietas, a person to lean on if he needs the silence, sometimes Elidibus will talk to him about his past, travels, etc. in case it’s a much needed distraction.

Ebrietas doesn’t cry often and he’s usually very confused and angry at himself when it does happen, he usually won’t notice at first. Lovelace will either stay some ways away from him or embrace him. He usually doesn’t ask why he’s crying, Ebrietas usually will tell him what bothered him, though sometimes he holds back. Erenville will comfort him and ask him if he’s ok, offer to take him on a walk, offer to buy him a confectionery or the like. He’s very patient with him.

18. Oh boy the biggest one I think is Lovelace and Ebrietas. They kind of crack each other open a lot of the time. Ebrietas definitely learned to be more open to talking to (or at least tolerating) other people because of Lovelace being so insistent on being around him. They absolutely were enemies for the longest time, Ebrietas hated him so much at first like clawing at him like a feral cat because someone would dare be so disrespectful to him when everyone who was disrespectful to him was either brutally killed by him or too scared to be because they were scared of being killed by him. Lovelace taught Ebrietas patience whether he likes it or not, he is more patient and approachable now than he was before he met Lovelace. He’s not angry about it, just more resigned now.

19. Lovelace and Erenville for Ebrietas for sure, they both know their ways around. Ebrietas was basically stuck in his family mansion for most of his life so he doesn’t know how to go about travelling other than teleporting. Erenville is good with directions and Lovelace has been flying in airships 90% of his life, he knows his way around, he’s a certified globetrotter. He’s the one in charge of the steering of the airship/ other mount. Ebrietas knows his way around the sea of stars, not hydaelyn so he’s usually leaving that stuff up to them. He’ll pack his own stuff and that’s it.

last day of nov :o time rly does fly

i took my public health final and it went rly well!! i also finished my last assignments for that class so now i’m officially done. wish i devoted more time into it tbh bc i rly love public health, but ended up spending more of my focus on chem + writing this quarter :,( but still v good class i recommend

afterwards, i walked to tj’s to grocery shop! i needed to buy veggies bc i do not have any and i need nutrition :D ended up buying broccoli, mushrooms, stuff for breakfast. not too much bc i’m going home next week anyways lollll

i made lunch and it was goood. rice + broccoli + nem nướng, which is like one of my fav types of protein ever. reminded me of home :,) then, i ubered to my new babysitting job! the kiddo is two years old 🥹 so adorbs even tho he was rly shy hahahah still v smiley tho :] i’m excited to get to know him! i also met his grandma and dad who were rly kind. SUPER nice house in brentwood i was in awe. beautiful grand piano too! i’ll start in winter quarter hehe

then, i took the bus back to my apt and then went to the hill to visit kayla, gian, + steph for a bit! it was very good to see them since it’s been a while. they’re v v studious and focused so i didn’t stay for long :D they’re such champs. then, i met w jay for a bit and he swiped me a smoothie <3 love my twin. then i went to anderson to study w adi, and then jay came by after a bit too! it was pretty productive,, i rly like the library there it’s very peaceful. i’ll go again tmr in the daytime when there’s more sunlight. i listened to a lot of beabadoobee + cigarettes after sex for some reason. was in the mood ig LOLOL

i went home at 9ish, made dinner, watched vampire diaries, did a little work (very little tho bc im pooped tbh), and now going to bed :) it was lonngggg day but good day. excited for tmr 💛

side note: damon salvatore is so hot im not even watching this show for the plot anymore he’s just so nice to look at. and i love his character

Physical I’d say 1) my arm hair is fucking hot and I’m so lucky estrogen didn’t steal it from me 2) my eyes are rly pretty :3 they’re this delicious hazel color like old moss and rich wet earth. And 3) I gotta say it, the good ol hip to waist ratio, im an extremely yummy shaped lass. As soon as the booty fills back up I’ll be unstoppable.

Non physical, 1) the minute I hear any poetry spoken aloud, my brain slips into meter and verse. It’s really fucking useful. The other night I recorded a really good poem off the dome with no prep and I’m really proud of myself :3 2) Im no good in a fight anymore since my leg went to shit but in an argument? I’ll rhetorically wipe the fuckin floor with anyone who’s being shitty to you. 3) while you were honing your blade I studied the mouth trumpet. Dies ist nur ein music review

So sometime last year i met this rad girl who also listened to warped tour bands. As she described it it’s like she started in the 2010s or something and just never stopped. And for me, I started around 2009 like rly seriously playing the 04-06 albums on repeat playing halo and suddenly clicking with “The Phrase that Pays” by The Academy Is…

That song totally kicked off a series of me getting hella invested in punk rock / emo / etc but i never had like an actual scene phase and i’m living it now haha. I so wish i’d listened to the albums these songs had come from. I wonder how it could have influenced my life back then, but whatever, i’m still here now and finally getting to it!!

I at first wanted to listen to all the Warped Tour Compilations and i was sad to see FUCKING TWTTR killed warped tour. fkn garbage fire site. (well, warped tour SHOULD be coming back next year and i am so hella hyped i can’t wait to get the most exquisite sunburn as i claw and scrape my way to the oasis that is a hose of fresh? water.)

I quickly got through all the warped tour albums from 1996 through 2018? 2019? lotsa music i missed out on. stuff i really wish i *had* been around for but most of the 2010s is voided out for me, between floundering around in college and part time jobs and rediscovering alternative music around 2015. This project intends to listen to the full discography of *every* artist with a song on a warped tour compilation. I’m skipping the DVDs but also including the punk-o-rama albums which did a crossover with warped tour in 1997, and including the european and australian tours cuz why the hell not. Throwing in the local stations top songs list starting at 1997 cuz of how much they’ve influenced my modern taste in music. I’m mostly using spotify - for artists not on spotify i’m just listening to the album (or single/EP) that particular listing came from. youtube is clunky as hell with no background play and i need some form of organization and spotify i have hella mix CDs on…

Anyway, the first album is Punk-o-rama from 1994, with FUCKING, BAD RELIGION. OH MY GOSH IVE WANTED TO listen to these guyses discography for AGES.

I honestly, like, right out the gate they’ve very politically on fire, like, they’re saying the kinds of things people need to fucking hear. they’re so real for it, and as they grow older some of the stuff is kinda tamer, the sound softens a bit, but hot damn if “the kids are alt-right” doesn’t point out the ongoing problems that still need solvation.

and of course they’ve got the classic crazy taxi songs too :D (omg can’t wait to hear the offspring tooooooo)

I recall the warped tour i attended back in 05 that bad religion had performed there the previous day. I don’t believe they were there for that particular warped tour date tho. I would absolutely love to see them live or at the very least get some merch :3 they’re just so, raw. so real. “Punk Rock Song” is still stuck in my head, and i’ve already moved on to NoFX (which, holy fuck they start out crass but mb it’s the bias speaking… they get good FAST)

Bad religion was a great time through and through, ramping up to No Control with some real bangers. Against the Grain had the song “21st Century (Digital Boy)” which I’d all but forgotten about since my first exposure to it nearly four years ago. Stranger than Fiction and The Grey Race had some of my old favorites like “Infected” and “Ten in 2010” with “Gods Love” coming along in 2003. New Maps of Hell for whatever reason lives in my head as a rly good album.

A lot of that early energy was really important for setting the stage for an awesome presence.

Apparently liked 98 Songs… this may go down over time but hey, they’re good. heck.

The particular showing for Punk-O-Rama was “Do What You Want” from Suffer in 1998. Can’t say I entirely remember the track, oh wait hang on, guess i’ll break all the fucking rules and go to hell with superman!! yeah no this song is lit af. love this scene. i gotttttta see these guys at some point.

Next on the docket is NoFX… I’m to “Usa-Holes” off Wolves in wolves clothing.

See, I knew I was amongst cool folx when i went to a party and this dude had a bad religion shirt.
