appalachia is devastated. towns i loved, towns i visited all the time, are gone. not damaged, GONE. they are leveled to the ground. there is nothing left but rubble and ruin. people are dead. appalachia is poor to begin with and relies on tourism for a lot of its income, and multiple of those tourist locations are just...gone.

my town is okay, but it's flooded and wrecked. trees are blocking all but one way out of our neighborhood. power lines are hanging limp in the roads. we've been without power for over 24 hours and will continue to be without power for likely another 24+. disabled people and poor people are GOING to die from this. gods save appalachia.

Imagine you and Tomura are out on a mission, when you hear the distinct sound of crying— a baby crying.

You follow the noise and find a baby, lying on top of garbage bags in a dumpster.

You go to pick them up and Tomura stops you, “What do you think you’re doing?” he asks.

“We’re not leaving them here.” You argue, as if he’s stupid.

“You’re not seriously suggesting we take a baby back to the hideout? We’re not babysitters. The league isn’t a place for babies.” He argues back, as if you’re more stupid.

“Tomura, they’re a baby. They’re helpless… defenseless… vulnerable! What if it were you all alone in an alleyway, begging for help?” you ask.

Tomura pauses as he stares at you, his eyes drifting over to the baby, but his mind clearly fixated on something else.

He sees snippets of him walking the streets alone, small, and scared. Begging for someone— anyone— to do something. Like a nightmare, he remembers taking refuge in an alleyway, his tiny hands still covered in dried blood. Why won’t anyone help?—

“Tomura?” You ask, him snapping out of his thoughts. He looks down in his arms, realizing he’s holding the baby.

He quickly places the baby in your arms. “Fine, but don’t come crying to me when you can’t handle playing house anymore.”

—

Cut to hours later, Tomura is sitting with the baby in his lap as he plays Mortal Kombat. “That’s called a Fatality.”

☆  He’s naturally worried ab you. Like why are you down here anyway ?????????? Did you fall down here ????????? Whatever yr pretty so he’s keeping you for himself <333

☆  At first he truly thought that you had, like, accidentally tripped and fell into the whirlpool here, but then you explain your search for differing types of jade coral branches for research purposes. He's a little hesitant after that, since his whole mission is to retrieve the branch for the abyss order it's obvious that you both had differing reasons for completing similar goals.

☆  After a while of you two had bumped into each other while exploring separately, he’d warmed up to you. He would show you around enkanomiya, He’s definitely a hopeless romantic “we’re totally meant to be together fate said so” typa guy, he’s pretty chill to be around though. He shows you around enkanomiya and fends off any creatures that get a little too close.

☆  Because Enjou is an abyss lector and therefore a “divine” being, he doesn’t really have a firm grasp on the idea of ‘dating’. He’s gets a little bit scared of the idea bcs he was just so happy doing whatever you were doing now, which was basically holding hands and absolutely ass attempts at flirting while going around to explore, bringing each other gifts from the few explorations you had spent separated. 

☆  Would still be very physically affectionate w/ you anytime, anywhere. Like, he kind of holds your hand whenever you two are out, he wraps his arms around your waist whenever you guys are generally just together, and HEAD PATS. No arguing, he loves to pat your head. Especially when he’s turned into a full out abyss lector bcs his hands get a lot bigger. He typically becomes more affectionate when he’s in his abyss lector form. 

He looooves to tuck you into one of his arms, give you shoulder/piggy back rides, etc.

☆  Bonus: when you’re tired he lets you lay on his lap or shoulder while he continues his work. Sometimes, he just stops working and gets as still as he can so that you won’t be as easily disturbed. Plus  bcs he’s, like, the pyro abyss lector, he raises his body heat; just for u <3

☆  Since he’s a huge nerd for ancient Byakuyakoku lore, that's obviously a huge point of interest, since you also need the information for your own research. Since he’s like a thousand years old he’s extremely knowledgeable when it comes to enkanomiya and its history, which you found a little bit weird since he only looked like he was in his twenties. 

☆  Basically he’s a himbo, but like not that buff most of the time and he’s actually pretty smart soooooo…. Bye <3
