The fun thing about this Au that I’m working on is that I can probably add in some real-world elements and include some scenes of Finn and his Bianca in it.

It was established in the first movie that Emmet represents Finn's feelings and relationships with people (In their own Lego universe), and I do think that Rex is basically just representing Teenage Finn beginning to think Legos are childish or at least shutting himself off from his family a bit more, since Bianca seems to take control of most of the Lego things that he has made, making her own Syspocalypstar compared to the one she and Finn worked on in the alternate timeline. 

Now because Finn would be around 18 in the original timeline, he would be going to college, so I could make that time Rex is out in space a symbol of the time Finn is spending away from his family, but still making new relationships and finding who he is in the world.

The brand new crew that I’m gonna give to Rex is like representing the new friends that Finn has been making and such, helping him build himself as a person instead of trying to be tough and cool all the time, and embracing his love for legos again (The adventures Rex and his crew go on could be just Finn having fun making Lego stories again with help from his friends) 

Now when I get round to the Watevra and Rex 'reunion', that could be kind of like a reconciliation between Finn and Bianca, after the time he and Rex spent away from home (character development and all) to reconnect with each other, sharing their love for legos (For Rex it’s probably going to be more of a father daughter bonding time), and Finn finally enjoying his childhood toys again with his little sister.

This is mostly just a concept, but I think it would be interesting to incorporate some more of the real world along with the Lego world in this Au.

But yeah, those are my thoughts so far, I’m still working out the actual crew, because I really don’t want it to seem like I’m copying from guardians of the galaxy.

I also really should come up with a name for this au, god.

okay but something i keep thinking about is the fact that mc, Rafayel, Zayne, Xavier and Sylus are currently all in the same timeline/lifetime. in the main story we’ve interacted with all four so far, and we’ve learned through their cards/myth/scenes about their past with mc and what has brought them here now. so is it not a fact that they are all SIMULTANEOUSLY pining and craving for her?! a man who betrayed a god, a man who betrayed his kingdom & people x 2, a man who?? well we aren’t sure for sylus just yet but LISTEN!! The thing that’s so special to me about Emily Prentiss being lesbian is that she’d be a specific type of lesbian the media is sorely missing.

This is a very middle-aged woman with multiple sexual experiences with men that significantly impact who she is as a character (pregnant at 15, seducing Ian). Like they are canon, and undeniably formative experiences for her personality and how she interacts with other people/the team.

Having her realize her sexuality now would not only be such an incredibly story arc, it would also be representing so many lesbians who don’t get that type of representation.
