something funny abt a little before I realized and early into being aromantic is i fully recognized I didn't have crushes on real people. but I thought I had crushes on fictional (drawn) characters. yeah I think you can have crushes on fictional characters and still be aromantic. i thought i was. my thought at the time was "bc they're literally not real it doesn't count" (i had a much more black and white understanding of what being aromantic was(I was like 13 i think)) but anyway no i literally just thought they were cool and interesting. they were Just my favorite character

feelin real foolish for stocking up on trick or treat supplies instead of groceries over the last two months
#it's for the kids i say through gritted teeth as we go into our one month of bills savings to afford food#looking at the amount of stuff we've collected to give our for halloween vs our current struggles is big 2020 hindsight but#whatever it'll hopefully be fine#we live in a poor neighborhood and as a fellow poor kid halloween was the best holiday i wanted to go all out#and any of the toys can be reused as handouts next year#so there's that#tho i assume the toys will be popular which is why we got them#idk about yall but toys and things were MY fave#edit cuz id be nosey too but for clarity “overspending” on halloween instead of groceries means over the last two months or so we have#spent about $150 on Halloween toys and candy to give out#spread out over the two months#so its not that much in todays world but when money is tight and $150 is your grocery money it kinda an L#still excited to do this for this kids tho#i will post pics of the table

people who are so enthusiastic about the things i make and the fandoms i rep at my booth are THE #1 coolest part of the experience 🥺 i feel like convention artist alleys these days are mostly filled with the same 4 popular anime/mobile games and it's really hard to find less popular anime, let alone things like video games and webseries. you would not believe how many comments I got that people never see things like Team Fortress 2 or Portal in AAs, let alone stuff like Infinity Train or HLVRAI 😭 the people who recognize them are always SO excited and then I'M excited and we are BOTH excited and nerding out together. it's fantastic!!!
the hlvrai fandom is definitely still going strong! i still see a lot of fanart and community posts and my sales on my few hlvrai things on my etsy have Not slowed down lmao. i'm sure if covid didn't happen there would have been so many benry cosplayers in 2020. we were ROBBED </3 i've seen You and one benry cosplayer at ACEN last year and that was IT </3 </3 </3

this is so funny to me actually bcuz this is 100% how i talk abt my characters ages. i know what YEAR they were born and i know what rheir ages are supposed to be at the start of the story but i dont actually know when it takes place?? im really bad at math. There was a moment where rainbow was supposed to be 23 and i somehow accidentally made her 17 lmfao
#theoretically it would take place in 2021 bcuz thats when i created my object ocs but the more time passes#the weirder it feels to have it take place years in the past#i considered moving up their birthdays by a few years but like. idk i like their birthdays theyre cute :3#bubblegum is SUPPOSED TO BE 15 and she was born july 2007#watermelon is supposed to be 7 and he was born june 2014#etc etc#starr is 27 and she was born september uhhh 1995 or 1997 i actually dont remember. whichever one makes sense#also that would mean building block was born in 2020 and since she's always gonna be a baby the furhter away we get#it means that she wouldnt have even been born when the story is actually supposed to take place. Like#i know their birthdays and their ages and what year they were born everybody else has to do the math#to figure out wtf is going on because I DONT KNOW#also that means that building block would be a pandemic baby lmao 😭#what was rhe vibe in nigeria in august 2020 during the pandemic. well i say that like it even happened in their universe#which there really isnt any reason for that to be true#it isnt historically important to mention like..... world war two or slavery or whatever. fucking obviously. in the context of objects#it gets messy so its better to just Not#also the months the characters were born really fuck me up bcuz jayden was born in late december#so for most of the first year that they met he would be.... younger than he actually is being born in 2003#but since building's block birthday and exact age is the most important timeline-wise#and she was born august 14th 2020 and she's seven months old when they first meet#then it canonically would take place in march 2021 which was my original intention#bcuz that is the actual date that i first created my object ocs#ANYWAY. boring character age ramblings#but its hard to keep track of so i dont even blame the author!!!! birthdays are weird and hard to keep up w/#when you dont know exactly when your story is supposed to take place#assuming its in a normal-ish world im sure fantasy ocs dont have this problem#txt#object ocs

#my 2020-2022 friends were lovely but i feel so... different. so tired. so isolated. none of us are the same i feel#and after a falling out with one friend i no longer consider posting in that server to be... desirable#everyone's just drifted away#myself included#what a fucking joke my life and this world is. i'm so fucking tired of it all. i'm glad you all have largely forgotten me#i'd rather it be that way. we are all going to die one day after all#the culmination of love is grief right? i'd rather not inflict the pain of grief#forget me. it's easier that way#i'll live quietly out of sight with the few unlucky enough to know me still.

Not to be too personal or too much of a sad bastard but
Happy Father’s Day to Professor Layton, Miles Edgeworth, and Kyle Hyde.
These characters were the ones that were there for me when my real father wasn’t. I know they’re not real, and Kyle especially would HATE that I’m including him in this, but when I was a little kid peering around the curtain to see if my father was at my recital and always seeing an empty chair next to my mom, I always knew that those three would always be there for me, if I just turned on my DS.
They never let me down and if I am a kind, considerate person, if I am a true gentleman, if I believe in justice and that standing up for others is important but not as important as standing with others, if I believe in second chances and forgiveness and the infinite nuance in people and their ability to change and be better… it is because of the example set by these characters. They’re not perfect but they’re actively trying and they make me believe that I can, too. That even when I’m not being the kind of person they’d be proud of, that I can still try a little harder and it’s never too late to start anew.
So yeah. Happy Father’s Day to Professor Layton, Edgeworth, and Kyle. 🤎🩷🖤 And especially to my biological father, I wish him a Father’s Day. I hope wherever he is, he’s having a day. ❤️
