A day has passed since Liam was buried to rest forever and I feel I have to express what I have in the depth of my heart.
We all agree that we all wished for a private funeral where only Liam's true people attended and where those people were free to be themselves, but this wasn't it. Maybe because Liam's family wanted a respectful public goodbye or, most likely, because they knew they couldn't avoid it (the fact syco's people was there made me question if the family had actually a say in keeping the ceremony totally private).
So, paps were allowed but with strict rules and the details weren't disclosed until the very last. They did everything necessary to keep the dignity of the ceremony. And they did it.
In this scenario, I want to point out at what the boys did: they discussed it prior and they decided to show there separately and to interact the less possibile. The fact that there were paps imposed them to wear their TM trenchcoats but they did it in silence, they maintained the lowest profile possible. They sacrified their grieve to not offer any kind of side to paps for taking pictures of the "reunion", knowing too well how disgusting outlets were waiting for nothing but that. They didn't give anyone any chance to make it about One Direction; they made it only about Liam. They gave him all the respect and dignity he deserved that they only could give him, because they only truly loved him. (Apart his family, of course). This was the biggest final act of love they could do for him, and they did.
Ohana means family, and family means nobody is left behind
Another mention goes to Cheryl and the way she protected Bear. They very likely had their private moment and she kept him away from paps, disgusting people and speculations. I could think what I think about her as a woman in regard of her "relationship" with Liam, but as a mother she has my whole true respect.
And last, to Karen and Geoff. As a parent myself, I cannot even image what kind of devastation has been living in their hearts for all this time; and yet, just because I am a mother, I can perfectly imagine that. I have never stopped thinking at them since that cursed day, and the dignity they showed is something I admire deeply. I don't think I would be able to, if I were in their shoes.
Karen, Geoff, Ruth, Nicola, Bear, Harry, Louis, Niall and Zayn: I hope you can feel our love, I hope you can feel our warm hug. You are not alone in the grief; we'll do our best to keep Liam's memory alive and teach the world what beautiful man he was, and we'll do our best to keep his legacy alive, avoiding his death was invain. Just show us the path, and we'll follow it.
And last, to Liam: you'll live forever ❤️

Tell me more about your horse, please?
Ooohh boy never ask someone about their horse or they won’t shut up. Okay. I have no idea how much you know about horses, so I’ll try to keep the horse terms to a minimum.
Getting her is a bit of a funny story really. And kind of relevant. But background info: Us mere mortals can’t afford horses competing at the higher levels. Your only chance is basically to buy a promising youngster, train them yourself and hope that the stars align and that in a few years you can compete at the level you wanted. But most of those horses are quite expensive as well. Everybody wants those with good blood for a reason (blood = lineage, breed, how reactive yada yada).
I wasn’t even gonna buy a horse back then because I knew I would be moving abroad a year later, and I already had my pony. (Whom I had considered selling to afford a horse but whatever). Anyways, I helped my trainer break in her youngsters, they got an extended summer break after, and come winter she called me and asked if I wanted C. Because they didn’t get along. She had been a… special cookie… to break in, but an incredibly fun one. So yeah. I got a good horse real cheap because she’s crazy.
She’s… well, she’s a brat. A stubborn, explosive bitch that’s too damn smart for her own good and the biggest goddamn drama queen the world has ever seen. She’s also one of the most hardworking, powerful and talented horses I’ve ever ridden. Her teenage years were eventful to say the least, and it has been a lot of work to teach her some proper manners. I could probably fill a book with all the stupid stunts she’s pulled over the years. But at the same time, that’s kind of the charm. You never have a boring day with her.
Despite her attitude and the drama, she’s genuinely very kind. She just doesn’t show it if she doesn’t have to😅 But she never wants to drop her rider, I’ve only fallen off because we stumbled over an xc-jump and she almost did a somersault. And while she usually is too impatient to stand still, whenever there’s small kids around she won’t move a leg, but you can see her literally twitching because that is tiny human. Must not move. Tiny human fragile, stepping on will injure. She was also the one who accompanied youngsters on their first forest hacks at my old job, because, while hacking out usually is a rollercoaster ride of jumping away from invisible monsters hiding behind stones (thoroughbreds in my heart<3), when the kiddos came with, she was super cool and they could even run into her and she didn’t even bat an eye. Because they are her adopted siblings now and Ohana means family.
So yeah. She has quite the personality but this is already getting long. And when it comes to riding, well, attempting to avoid using technical terms, you can teach just about any horse to move fancy, but riding a horse that does it naturally is just something else. She does everything with such ease and such power. And she loves to learn new stuff, which to me is the most important part. I’d rather ride an eager horse with zero talent than an unmotivated one. Because having to force them to work… nope.
Generally with horses, if you have a bad day, it’s 50/50 whether you’ll have one of the nicest rides of your life because the horse notices that you’re not at your best, or you’ll have what feels like the worst one ever because nothing works and the horse decides that if you’re not gonna try your best, they won’t either. 9/10 times, she’s the first type (and considering that we sometimes can spend the entire warmup discussing whether the chair in the corner will eat us or not, that’s saying something)
That’s also kind of why I’m selling her. I don’t have the time to ride her everyday. So when I do, she’s super duper happy and energetic and it makes me feel all guilty that I can’t ride her more. And it breaks my heart every time she comes running towards me in the field all eager, only for me to give her a pat and a carrot then leave (makes me feel like a parent that doesn’t have time for their kid so they spoil them with toys instead😅). I usually give her a kiss on the nose as a goodbye, but lately she refuses to let me do it unless I have ridden her first. And no, that’s not an exaggeration.
Tl;dr: She’s a bitch, she’s amazing, she drives me crazy and she’s my best friend. Being allowed to ride her is an honour. (and unfortunately she’s aware of that😆)
#sorry this got really long#though you did ask so I’m not fully to blame#asks#thank you for the ask!

If you don’t mind I’d love a message from spirit about my music and releasing it. Thank you!
Sure! Let’s see what comes up.
🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨🎸 🪨
Spirit, what do you want to tell anon about their music and releasing it?
Are you happy with it? Do you feel like it correctly expresses you and your feelings? If it does that, that’s all it needs to be. It feels like you are hesitating because you’ve put more weight on your art than it existing as the art itself. Capitalism. Yuck. Even if music is never something that financially sustains you, it’s not for that reason you feel called to do it. You feel called to do it because music teaches you about using energy to create. Because the journey it takes you on as you create, as you transcribe the immaterial into material, is a lesson in energy manipulation. That’s the magic of creation. That’s why you create, because you are a creator.
Creating music is the same as creating worlds. Every time you deprive yourself of following your creative impulses because of your fear around the outcome, you take a ding in your solar plexus energy and you hold yourself back from the magical experience of being inside the flow state. You deprive yourself of the joy of being a magnificent creative being. We want you to be in love with creating, no matter what it is. Your goal is to find a way to stay in love and to learn new ways to love creation. Do you love the process? Do you love the product? It’s all about love. Love is the only frequency of progress. If you cannot come to the creative table with love, you are setting yourself up to fail. Love is the magic in everything, the ingredient you need for success. Be honest, are you in love with music? How much? And if you aren’t, can you find your way back to love?
Card Pull
Hawaiian Mana cards
36 Pōhaku, reversed— Pōhaku means stone in Hawaiian and this card represents relationships
Guidebook—“By relating to others with joyous affection, friendship and love, we experience a sense of belonging, identity, purpose and inspiration.”
This is the quote that stuck out to me. In Hawaiian culture, stones were very important and could sometimes represent an ancestor. They also have an energy, or mana, within. With this card coming up reverse for this reading, I’m feeling that you are hesitant about releasing your music because of a lack of community support. I’m not sure if you make music with a team or not, but I’m getting that you haven’t quite found your Ohana (family) within the music world yet. Not just a family of fans but also a family you create with. To me, this lack of connection may be why you aren’t as confident in your work.
I’m also feeling strongly that you may need to take active steps to create this community, ie, share your work with friends and colleagues, with strangers, people you know—like a girl in my workout class, she recently shared some music she created with the instructor and the instructor played the song in the class. It was super dope to learn that about her and to be able to support her. Get creative with the communities you have.
I think this is saying there’s more support for you than you are tapping into or seeing clearly. I’m getting that you need to put yourself out there more, like maybe playing live, going out and networking with DJs and other people. “If you build it, they will come.” Put yourself in strategic scenarios and the universe will connect you. So maybe try going to music venues, festivals, meet up groups, whatever it is, but go to places where other musicians hang out. You’ll meet people and find out about opportunities you may not otherwise have known about.
If you’ve been feeling drawn to any crystals or to going to any specific places, go or get the crystal. Also pay attention to any rocks or stones that catch your eye. They may have a message for you.
I hope this helps! Would love to know how/if it resonates. 🪨🎸
PS. My friend texted during this reading so I feel like that’s additional confirmation for you to reach out and look for connection in places you wouldn’t always look. Reach out first. It’s okay.

hey!! Your fic recommendations are always elite–I was wondering if you had any kid fics, thank you <3
Hi anon. I have plenty of kid fics for you. Since you didn't quite specify what kind of kid fic you wanted I decided to divide it into fics where Charles and Erik are kids or get deaged and fics that involve kids. This is kind of a long list so I hope that there are plenty of new fics for you to read.
Cherik Kid Fic
--They are kids or get deaged--
Conspiracy of Kisses - Alaceron
Summary: Seven-year-old Erik needs to keep his telepathic best friend Charles from finding out that he wants to kiss him. But that's okay, because he has a plan - he'll put on a tinfoil hat.
Chasing After You - Alaceron
Summary: Charles isn't very good at tag. Erik helps
We’ll be the sum - afrocurl, ninemoons42
Summary: In between bouts of blanket burrito-ing and vegging out on movies, Charles and Erik figure out how they currently feel about each other.
Of course, they're schoolboys and they're on a sleepover and also Edie dotes on them both excessively, so things work out just fine.
Growing pains - ikeracity
Summary: Twelve-year-old Erik Lehnsherr is an angry, closed-off foster kid with trust issues and a bad temper. Ten-year-old Charles Xavier is a lonely kid in boarding school who just wants a friend.
Logan pretends he doesn't think they're both fucking adorable.
Valentine’s day – ikeracity
Summary: Kid fic! Erik waits impatiently all day at school to give Charles a card for Valentine's Day. Maybe Charles has something for him too...?
Now You Know You Know it Now – luninosity
Summary: Erik’s not sure why he keeps glancing at the other boy. Not as if Erik likes other kids, or other people in general, for that matter. But still—he finds himself looking. Again.
This Family Comes with Batteries - Fishwrites, lynneh
Summary: An orphaned Charles Xavier goes to live with his Godfather: Tony Stark. This story is a tale of what would have happened to the events of MCU, if Tony was raising a six year old telepath in Stark Tower. There is also the matter of Charles' robot AI manny/bodyguard/tutor/only-friend, David.
You’re Not Doing This Alone – flightinflame, Lynds
Summary: What's meant to be a simple recruitment mission leads to both Erik and Charles being de-aged back to thirteen years old. Terrified and out of their depth, the boys try to hide their situation and help each other until they can work out what is going on.
Charles Xavier, A Retelling – Extra_fried_noodles
Summary: An attempt to reverse his paralysis goes wrong, and Charles is de-aged into a 2 year old toddler. While Hank scrambles to fix the situation, the whole gang is here to help. Through a mix of selective memory, they watch Charles relive his childhood, revealing some deeply hidden and painful truths.
Protective Instinct – Groovyhornbill
Summary: Charles and Erik were testing Cerebro’s new prototype when things went very wrong.
Divergence – Lynds
Summary: Universes and timelines collide, dropping two younger versions of Charles Xavier into the midst of the hunt for Sebastian Shaw. Now the newly formed X-men have to deal with a strangely quiet and self-reliant six year old, and a sixteen year old covered in bruises.
Erik, in particular, has to accept that the man he loves hasn't had the kind, happy upbringing he wished for him. But these children are here now, and Erik's not going to let anyone hurt them this time.
--Where they have kids--
Sink or Swim – endingthemes
Summary: Erik is a struggling single dad of three kids with a burning hatred for Sebastian Shaw, the man who wronged him years ago. He’s tried to move on with his life, but a run-in with Shaw’s rude, spoiled omega, Charles, drags up old anger. When Charles ends up in the hospital after an accident, Erik goes to confront him only to find that Charles has amnesia. In the confusion, Charles mistakenly assumes that Erik is his mate.
Erik knows he should clear up the misunderstanding, but how can he pass up this perfect chance for a little revenge?
(An Overboard AU)
Rumor Has It - blueink3
Summary: "Did I hear the doorbell earlier?"
"Yeah, but I'd steer clear if I were you. It seemed a little tense. I don't know what's going on, but there's a kid out there who looks freakily like the prof."
Nearly six months after Cuba, Charles' life is turned upside down for the second time. Though he's slowly learning to adapt to the first, he's not sure he can handle the second. Luckily for him, there are a few people out there more than willing to help.
Words and Pictures – pocky_slash
Summary: When Lorna's powers manifest early, Charles Xavier's mutant picture books are the perfect teaching tool. Erik just hadn't expected the author to be so young. Or attractive. Or available.
Write this number down (you can call it anytime) – pocky_slash
Summary: When Erik upsets his children, they have a habit of running away from home--and straight to Charles' school for cookies and consolation. Charles doesn't mind the visitors, but as they appear more and more frequently, he realizes that sooner or later, he and Erik are going to have to talk about what happened on the beach and what it means for their future and the future of Erik's children.
Dress Your Family in Plaid and Skinny Jeans – cygnaut
Summary: Erik and Charles meet at the mutant playgroup/parenting support circle and they instantly hit it off. And so do their kids, Lorna and David.
Not What I was Expecting (So Much Better) – lazulisong
Summary: Erik, the single father, hires Charles, the grad student with the slightly shady past, to be his manny.
Heli Cases – Black_Betty
Summary: "Heli Cases" is a program on PBS whose aim is to educate on the rapidly increasing occurrence of genetic mutation in the general populous by breaking the complex science down into palatable, easy to digest pieces.
It is also the only thing that helps Erik get his fussy daughter to fall asleep.
(Featuring Dadneto, baby Lorna and the struggles of single fatherhood, and Charles as the host of a late night show about genetics.)
Doing Something for Yourself – Pookaseraph
Summary: Erik is a hard working engineer and single dad, Charles runs a local Community Center where Wanda and Pietro spend their time after school. Erik accidentally makes Charles' acquaintance one Wednesday evening when he's running late from work. Erik has no idea if he stands a chance with his new acquaintance, but that isn't going to keep him from falling for the guy.
A Good Dad – listerinezero
Summary: Ten years later, Magneto has left the Brotherhood and Raven asks Charles to help her find him. Charles discovers that Erik is the single father of five year old twins Wanda and Pietro, and he is doing everything he can to keep them safe from his former enemies.
Take a Chance (On Me) – Ook
Summary: In which Charles, terrorised by his abusive ex, takes his young son to a small town in America, where they both settle down and make friends with their neighbours. Particularly the town mechanic, Erik, and his foster son, Alex. Requester stated they wanted to "drown in H/C. "
Can’t Buy Me Love – niniblack
Summary: Erik's a single dad struggling to make it work and nab the promotion he's been waiting for. The last thing he needs is to get involved with politician and notorious playboy Charles Xavier.
(The Maid in Manhattan pastiche that no one asked for.)
Ohana – royal_chandler
Summary: Erik's children are absolute hellions. If by hellions, one means children who are incredibly protective of their new family unit and won't let a few household mishaps get in the way of keeping it together.
One Second and a Million Miles – magneto
Summary: Between being a parent to the best baby in the history of man-kind and co-running a Mutant Center in Hell's Kitchen, Erik Lehnsherr has his hands pretty full. Too full, certainly for romance; something that has never really been on his radar to begin with.
All that changes, however, when he meets Dr. Charles Xavier. Handsome, intelligent, capable, kind, an Omega level telepath, and one of the best pediatricians in the state, he's everything Erik didn't know he was looking for. But he's also Lorna's pediatrician which means, of course, he's off-limits. Except how is Erik supposed to try and forget his crush when he and Charles keep running into each other as if fate is trying to tell them something? When, as Charles says, they seem to want the same thing?
Her Only Mutations Were Her Blue Eyes and Her Auburn Hair – Pookaseraph
Summary: While sneaking back out of Russia, Erik and Charles stumble across Anya, Erik's presumed dead daughter, and it changes quite a few little things along the way. Fluffy, self-indulgent, fix-it.
Despicably Yours – Cesare, veryorangecat
Summary: Erik Lehnsherr, AKA Magneto, is a supervillain without equal... except maybe one: Charles Xavier, AKA Professor X, AKA Erik's next door neighbor. When their competition heats up, Erik decides the only way to get ahead is to adopt four mutant orphans to infiltrate Charles's mansion.
Things don't go as planned.
The Wrong Impression – Rosawyn
Summary: Charles is trying to balance the responsibilities of his career with his responsibilities as a single father to a tiny baby. It's not something he ever thought he'd have to do, and it's not as easy as those women on the internet make it look! He does't have much of a social life (unless talking to his sister on the phone and attending a parents' class where he's the only guy count), and he doesn't even have time to think of dating. He's just trying to keep his job - and keep his son fed and healthy.
Marrying a Mob – Ook
Summary: Charles is a teacher at a very exclusive school. When armed men burst in on the trail of two children, of course he stands up to them and gets hurt. The children are Erik Lehnsherr's children (of course); a "prominent businessman" or, less politely, "mobster".
Erik is grateful to Charles for saving his children's lives at the cost of his kneecap. So very grateful.
Naturally he tries to reward Charles for his actions. Equally naturally, Charles will be having none of that.
Azazel finds the whole thing unspeakably hilarious. Naturally.

my darling, cj, hello!! 9-1-1 as marvel characters or disney character 💛
Well hello, sunshine! How I’ve missed your face.
I’ve already done a 9-1-1 Marvel AU so let’s talk Disney.
Now, your girl loves her Disney so we’re going to narrow it down to Walt Disney Animated Studios Leading Characters.
Let’s go!
Bobby - Elsa (Frozen). Has a dark secret that no one in their life knows about. A family death is the inciting incident for change that causes initial stress but ultimate happiness. Perpetually tired of their family’s sh*t and having to explain very basic concepts (like: you can’t marry someone you just met, or don’t use an axe when there might be a baby in the wall). When their secret finally does surface, it’s explosive and hurts their loved ones. Ice Skating.
Bonus: Bagheera (The Jungle Book). Ends up with more immature children than he knows how to handle.
-
Athena - Esmerelda (The Hunchback of Notre Dame). Fights for what she thinks is right. Thinks outside the box. There’s a softness for those she cares for and a swift kick in the nuts for those she doesn’t. Enjoys some sexy times but only when she’s in control. Has a kid who is ready to throw down at all times. Falls for the boring guy.
Bonus: Shang (Mulan). Motivated by the loss of a loved one and a desire for parental approval. Would love to kick your ass if you even try to give up the good fight.
-
Chimney - Judy Hopps (Zootopia). Big dreams in a tiny body. Smart and fast and endearingly ambitious. Makes friends everywhere just by being a decent human being. #WorkplaceDiscrimination. Big family and growing by the second but somewhat ignored by their parents. Uneasy friendship with an old bully (Tommy). Generally underestimated which proves to be an asset. Falls for a fox.
Bonus: Bernard (The Rescuers). Superstitious. Dragged into danger by his kind-of girlfriend.
-
Hen - Lilo (Lilo and Stitch). “Ohana” means family. Family means nobody gets left behind. Or forgotten. Sees someone she likes and immediately adopts them. The definition of Chaotic Good energy. Will bite a bitch because she deserves it. Struggles to keep her family together (and kind of messes it up). Will go to the ends of the earth for her found family. Mistakes are forgiven, your past is your own, she just loves you now.
Bonus: Nala (The Lion King). An endearing troublemaker and a serious but kind-hearted rebel who fights for what’s right.
-
Buck - Jim Hawkins (Treasure Planet). Comes from a broken family but no matter what, there was an older female family member he could always rely on. Adventurous and rebellious to the point of destruction. Finds a guiding hand in a mentor who isn’t perfect but loves him like a son. Uses his skills to save people and do good. Previous hair choices we don’t like to talk about.
Bonus: Hercules (Hercules). Falls for an older woman. Knows less about the world than his muscles would suggest. Has headbutt a horse.
-
Eddie - Eric (The Little Mermaid). Struggles to find a balance between duty and desire. A traditional beauty with a booty and dark, flowing locks. Relies heavily on the advice of his elders. Humble and kind. Abhors the spotlight despite his profession/nobility. Loves doing reckless things if it means saving others. Kind of a dumbass but in a mature way...somehow - like you don’t notice it right away.
Bonus: Tiana (The Princess and the Frog). Driven by duty and hard work and yet, somehow, veers straight into danger with another dumbass.
-
Maddie - Wendy (Peter Pan). Placed into a maternal position way too young, but she loves her brother(s) and will do anything to care for those in her charge. Kind and curious and maybe a little judgmental, but look at the people she spends time with. Seems helpless but in the face of real danger, she will throw down. She is also completely unafraid to stand up for herself in any situation.
Bonus: Rapunzel (Tangled). Escapes an abusive relationship. Has definitely hit her boyfriend with a frying pan.
-
Michael - Pacha (The Emperor’s New Groove). Constantly getting pulled into other people’s sh*t but eventually finds it very fun. Loves his family more than anything. If he can teach you a lesson and judge you while doing it, he absolutely will. Almost loses everything but ends up gaining something special because two people are trapped together for an indeterminate amount of time.
Bonus: Pongo (101 Dalmatians). Weird meet-cute. Will fight for his family but not, like, directly.
Prompt Me with AUs

Magnum PI 3.04 - First the Beatdown, Then the Blowback
Okay, this episode low-key had EVERYTHING I love about Magnum PI. We start off with Magnum/ Higgins banter.
(Mean seriously! This!!!! "I merely anticipated how you might try to penetrate me and deployed a counter measure...")
We got the lads wearing ear muffs-things (which would not work - have you seen the ear shape of a Doberman? Yeah, those things would not do it - but for laughs and giggles, it’s beautiful)
We got the Kumu plot, which is so sweet and important. I love how she’s so unashamedly Kumu and ready to stand up for herself and her culture. That’s really important and something that’s great to see on TV, especially with how things have been in US lately...
Kumu offering cookies to TC - Macadamia nut and Chocolate Chip! Sign me up for some of those. And TC being super supportive of her was so cute! These are the sub-plots I live for!
I love how at the end they just trick the bad guy and give him some random scull. I’d have loved Magnum and Juliet to somehow tried to get the bad guy but this was great because even the cops agreed and went along with it!
The case was weird and not really sure everyone’s motivation was 100% or Gordon would have been able to arrest them all at the end but it still made sense enough that I think my mother will feel it did. Which is about what I want and expect from a Mangum PI case. We got MMA fighter Kai and her dad going up against organized and Magnum and Higgins sweeping in to save the day. I’m not really into the in a ring fighting-bit thing but it wasn’t very much of that fighting, (except for two minutes at the end!)
And Rick gets to play ‘corner guy’. I love we he gets to do things other than work at the bar and snipe things!
We got bad-ass looking Magnum and Higgins
Matching hats (and outfits...) ❤️
At the end, we got the little sweet moment with Higgy saying she’s sorry that she made it impossible for him to win.
AND THEN...
...him suggesting a re-match. And I’m not sure what it is about that scene, with him pointing out “it’s your house, your alarm system we can do a re-match anytime” and she’s like “I might take you up on that” that not the least bit about security systems...
Seriously, this scene, IDK what is going on but it’s legit the most...well, the most something. But honestly, any time my favorite idiots look at each other it’s pretty amazing, I’m not sure how they mange it. But this was a little extra.
(Please someone, I need a gif set of the end of this scene!)
Anyways, I really enjoyed this episode. There was just a bit of all my favorite things, Ohana-feels, little bit of Miggy-feels, kind of fun case, the Ferrari, Gordon teaching his son math!!, Kumu standing up for what she believes and everyone standing up for her and just over all a fun ride!
Next weeks episode looks great! We got a big storm, armed bank robbers? Plus Ethan in the mix, that’s gonna be...interesting for sure!

tros has been around for 2 years + 1 day and I'll say I've forgiven it for everything except the boring costumes
tros costume moments, ranked:
1. the best costume moment is when kylo grabs rey's gifted necklace and tears it off dramatically, and she holds her chest like oh! It's a probably unintentional parallel to the anidala necklace motif, bc that is a gift from ani that comes to symbolize ani's inability to talk about their problems and padme's devotion beyond betrayal and death. For reylo, the necklace is like, kylo confronts her directly about their problems (I mean more to manipulate her than to get real), then steals her present lol, which teaches her the dyad object-transfer power (did he know he could do that or did he just go for it?), and she's like omg my heaving bosom! It's kind of hard to get a read on this scene but certainly, in comparison to RotS, it's like, THESE hot heteros are MEAN! Unfortunately pocahantas did this scene better, which you never want to hear. (Actually now I think of it, pocahantas also did the blue-tinted smooch and grieving spiritual girlfriend ending better... yikes!)
2. another moment I dig was the monkey fixing kylo's helmet while all the knights of ren supervise. I super hate that he fixed his helmet bc it undid his character arc, but at least the way he did it was adorable. We stan a monkey and you KNOW we stan goths uselessly standing around. And the random lady who complimented the helmet did a lot for me. I've got to hand it to the blood-red kintsugi helmet for 1. going for it and 2. having a color, which none of the other costumes do. I don't like it. I don't agree with it. But I accept it.
3. of course we need a shout out to the good boy sweater. Every costume change in this movie got boring, but at least this one's boringness had intention. He's become Normal!!! Look at him killing the goths like a normal good kissable boy would
4. poe deep-v and scarf is good, could have been deeper. finn's look is okay, could have had a deep-v. I do wonder where the finnpoe jacket went? Was that the only object this movie didn't reference?! If they lost it on crait then they should have gone back for it because ohana means family
5. the giant matching jackets on kijimi were iconic BECAUSE 3po had to wear one too, hehe. The others' hoods stayed attached but somehow poe's hood turned into a big sexy collar, which made me wish I was watching Wrath of Khan. Honestly the kijimi scene was genuinely scary but it was so badly lit that I got mad anyway lol
6. on a similar note, palpatine's red-lined robe was alright, too, though we could also barely see it in the dark. However, this fit was, for me personally, the biggest missed opportunity of the film because if only it had been just a little more faboo, I would have gone INSANE. Imagine if his robe had been covered in sequins. If this is the first time you're imagining that, then welcome to my twisted mind
7. I LOVE jannah's hair and I super wish the rest of her and zorii's costumes had done more for me, but they didn't. Though looking back on their costumes on google, they both have some crazy shoes
8. here's the heart of the problem: at the end of tlj, we saw how great rey looks with her hair down and kylo looks with his helmet off. The genie was out of the bottle. But then they go back to the stupid buns that I've always disliked and the stupid helmet. They even make it clear that the buns represent her yearning for her parents/the past, so they're just walking back on her character arc, too. It's a lot like how the prequels showed us that star wars costumes CAN be colorful and wacky, but then in the sequels we're supposed to go back to the drabs and beiges of the original trilogy. Noooooo!!! What makes this boring movie decision even more galling is that the sequels' excellent companion cartoon series, Resistance, is the most colorful star wars cartoon since Droids in the 80s! Bright and colorful clothes are absolutely possible in this very era and they should totally have leaned into that, like, at all
9. I would have supported rey's white nun outfit IF at the end of the film it was absolutely filthy

Ohana- A Hawaii Five-0 Fanfic Chapter Four
This chapter is super long, so I apologize in advance lol. I’m hoping to still have the next chapter up next week, but I won’t has as much free time to write at work like normally do. Please enjoy and let me know what you think!

FRIDAY NIGHT STEVE MCGARRETT’S HOME STEVE’S POV:
“See, Gracie? You have to wait 4 minutes before you flip it, or it doesn’t get cooked on both sides.” I said, flipping one of the burgers over. She nodded that she understood, her arms wrapped around my neck to hold on since I had her up on my hip so she could see the grill better. We were just waiting on Thea and Nora to arrive, so I went ahead and started the food and asked Grace to be my helper.
Mindy, Kono, and Max were in the kitchen getting the rest of the food together. Danny walked up behind me, nudging me in the shoulder and holding his arms out for Grace. She grinned and jumped into her dad’s arms. “Are you teaching my daughter the incorrect way to grill a burger?”
I rolled my eyes. “Yes, Daniel.” I said sarcastically. I flipped another burger and glanced back at Danny’s girlfriend that he brought with him today, Kari. “So, how is Kari doing?” She was nice, blonde, and a paralegal. She seemed to get on with all of us just fine, minus Grace. Which, in my mind, was more important than her being friendly with us. It was very obvious that Grace wasn’t a fan of the woman. She had stuck with me for the whole hour that she’d been here already and had already asked me 4 times when Nora was going to come. Kari didn’t seem to be that big of a fan of Grace either. She gave Grace an indifferent smile when she became the center of attention, and with our group, that was quite a lot. We all loved that little girl. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with her and was sure Danny and I were going to talk about it tonight when everyone went home.
Danny shrugged. “She’s fine. She’s enjoying getting to know you guys.” I saw Grace roll her eyes and push away from her dad to be let down. I knew bringing up Kari around Grace like that probably wasn’t the best idea. Danny set her down and she immediately made her way back up to the house. Thankfully, he didn’t see her eye roll.
“I’m going to wait for Auntie Thea.” She said.
Before I had a chance to say it, Danny took a step closer to me. “Grace doesn’t like Kari.” He said quietly.
I tried my best to hold back a laugh. “I could have told you that, buddy.”
Danny sighed and smoothed his hair down. “God, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I mean, Kari is nice but Grace means more to me. She knew I had a kid and she just isn’t that interested in getting to know her.” He glanced over at the table I had set up across the yard where Kari was sitting with Malia, Chin, Adam, and Charlie. I felt bad for Danny. He had always told me that dating with a kid was difficult, but I had never seen him really struggle with it. It made me think about what it would be like with two kids. I tried to think about it but really the only person I wanted to be with was already having my kids. Since I found out that Thea was pregnant and we were spending some time together and we were talking more, I’ve really come to like and care about her than just the mother of my unborn children. And Nora has become really special to me like Grace has. I did invite her because the team wanted to meet her, but I also wanted her to get to know them like I know them. If I was gonna try and pursue this with her, I wanted all my ohana to get along.
“Danno! Uncle Steve! Nora is here! Look! We’re matching!” Grace and Nora came running out of the house hand in hand. They were both wearing the same romper outfit over their bathing suits, but Nora was wearing navy and Grace was in army green.
Danny and I both smiled at the two girls. “My two favorite girls, wearing my two favorite colors!” I said, scooping them both up into my arms causing them to giggle loudly. I looked up to see Thea walking out the back door with Mindy and Kono who were carrying bowls of food out. I smiled at her. She had on a blue and white polka dot dress. She smiled over at me, her eyebrows raising slightly when she saw me holding up both girls. I couldn’t help but grin at her. I loved watching her smile and seeing the dimples on her cheeks.
‘God, she looks amazing’
“Can we go play in the sand?” Nora asked, staring over at the beach. I remembered Thea telling me she loved the water. I set both girls down and handed the spatula to Danny to finish manning the grill.
“We’re about to eat so I’ll tell you what,” I said, looking at them. “After we eat, I’ll take you both out into the water. That way Danno doesn’t have to get his hair wet.” The girls giggled when Danny smacked me in the arm.
“Hey, it takes a lot of product to make it look this good.” He claimed.
Thea, Mindy and Kono walked to us. Nora quickly started to tell her mom about how we were going to go swimming after we eat. Thea smiled at the little girl who was practically bouncing. “That sounds great baby.”
Mindy and Kono set their bowls down on the table that was set up for the food. “Alright that’s all of it boss. Let us know when to come make our plates.” Kono nodded. Mindy made her way back to the table with Nora while Kono linked arms with Thea and led her over to the group over at the table. I remembered Thea telling me that she and Kono went to high school together. It comforted me a little bit that not everyone here was a complete stranger to her.
I watched them walk to the table and Kono started to introduce her to everyone. She had a smile on her face the whole time and took a seat right next to Malia. My family felt complete watching everyone sit and have fun together.
I must have been staring for a bit because when I looked at Danny after he obnoxiously cleared his throat, he had the burgers on a plate and was setting them on the food table. “Stare some more, I don’t think she noticed.”
“Shut up.”
“Seriously. Maybe it’s time to thaw your heart and tell her you want to be with her.” Danny said, grabbing two paper plates. He handed me one. “Alright Super Seal. It’s time for your Dad Training.”
“My what?”
“Your Dad Training.” He said. “You’re about to have not just one but two babies you’re responsible for. On top of that you’re practically in love with a woman who has a 7-year-old.”
“Hey-”
“So, do what I do and make Nora’s plate for Thea. The girls are going to eat at the table up on the lanai.” He gestured for me to copy him.
“This is ridiculous.” I sighed but started to make the plate like he was. “I’m going to assume you know what Nora likes to eat.”
He nodded. “She’ll basically eat everything but she’s allergic to onions. So, don’t put her food anywhere near onions.” He filled up the plate with a burger, plain with ketchup, mac and cheese, salad, beans, and the fruit salad. I did the same, quickly avoiding the small plate of onions that was set out for people to put on their burgers. I glanced up at Danny.
“Should these even be out?” I didn’t want to risk her eating them and something happening. I think Danny noticed my small moment of panic and placed his hand on my shoulder.
“No, idiot, she’s not going to go into anaphylactic shock by looking at them. She just can’t eat them or anything they’ve contaminated. She’s good about avoiding them or telling people she can’t eat them. Thea and Rachel both did give me a big speech about it the first time I had her over for a sleepover with Grace though. She always has an epi-pen when she isn’t with Thea- so get that nervous look off your face, it’s fine.” He handed me one of the plastic forks and turned to look over at the table. “Gracie, Nora! Come on time to eat, guys!”
The crowd was laughing as they made their way over to the food table. Danny and I went and set the girls plates on the smaller table closer to the house. Grace has pretty much claimed it as her table anytime she is over. There were marks all over it from craft projects she had done on it. “Grace, go show Nora where the juice boxes are. When we get done and clean up, we can go for a swim, okay?” I said to her and watched them run off into the house.
Danny rushed off to go make his plate with Kari as Thea walked up behind me. “Her burger doesn’t have onions on it does it?” She asked. She had that same nervous look on her face I’m sure I had a few moments ago.
“No no, Danny told me she’s allergic. I just put ketchup on it.” I said softly.
She looked a little shocked but smiled softly at me. “Thank you for making her plate.”
‘Damn that smile will be the death of me’
I put my arm around her shoulders casually. “Let’s go eat before our friends eat all the food.”
She laughed and nodded. We made our plates and sat next to each other at the large table. I noticed she constantly had a hand on her stomach, almost like she was nervous. Kono quickly pulled her into the conversation she was having with Malia and Charlie.
“Thea used to surf with us in high school. She could have totally been pro if she wanted.” Kono said.
Thea laughed. “Yeah, I don’t think so. I was good, but nowhere pro level.”
Mindy shrugged. “I don’t know, T. You definitely could have taken on Kalakaua.” She teased, causing Kono to throw the cap of her Longboard at her. I leaned back and watched the girls interact. Danny was having a semi-private with Kari. I couldn’t hear them, but I could tell from the look on his face he was upset, and Kari didn’t have a care in the world. I gave him a look, asking if he was alright. He just rolled his eyes and shook his head. He and Grace have that eye roll down pat. By the time we had both turned back to the group, the topic had changed.
“Oh, trust me, Danny has several things to say about Steve’s crazy behavior.” Chin laughed as he drank his beer.
“Crazy how?” Thea asked, turning to look at me and then over at Danny. I looked at Danny, silently asking him not to tell her anything but he ignored me.
“Oh, this crazy bastard got me shot our first day working together.” Danny said extremely calmly.
“You what!” Thea exclaimed, her eyes wide looking at me.
“Hey, I apologized! It was just an arm graze.” I said, putting my hands up to defend myself. “You were fine, you even punched me in the face.”
“Yeah that was after you put me in an arm lock!”
“Danny it was over a year ago, get over it.”
“I-” I cut Danny off by changing the subject.
“Anyway, anything else to talk about that doesn’t revolve around me?” I said, whacking Danny in the arm.
Malia spoke up. “So, do you guys know what you’re having yet?”
Thea and I both shook our heads. “No, we might find out in 3 weeks. Our last appointment the doctor said if they’re in the right position we should be able to tell.” Thea said while she stroked her stomach.
“Are you planning on having a gender reveal?” Kono asked. I gave a confused look.
“A what?”
“It’s where the expecting parents invite friends and loved ones to find out the gender of the baby, or in your case, babies, after the ultrasound. Typically, the parents don’t know either. It usually involves a mild, but colorful powder explosive or a pink or blue cake.” Max piped up from the end of the table.
“Jesus, why’d you have to say explosive?” Danny shook his head.
Thea looked at me and then Kono. “Uh, we haven’t really thought about it.”
“Do you want to do something like that?” I asked her.
She nodded. “I think it’d be fun, if you’re up for doing it.”
“Oh, he’s always ready to blow something up.” Danny chimed in. I rolled my eyes and told him to shut it. “Rachel and I did a cake for Grace’s gender reveal. White icing and a strawberry cake since it was a girl.”
“Maybe we could make two smaller cakes. One for baby A and one for baby B.” Mindy smiled.
“My aunt makes cakes for gender reveal parties all the time at her bakery, I’m sure she could do two for you.” Kono said. Thea just looked at me with a smile on her face.
“What do you think?” She asked me. I had never done anything like this, or even heard of anyone doing it.
I shrugged, leaning back in my seat. “It sounds like it could be fun. If you want to do something, we can.” I smiled at her. She turned to Mindy.
“Alright but you have to plan it.” She laughed. The conversation moved on while we continued to eat. Max went into a long explanation about his fossil collection before Danny interrupted him. Despite my trying to keep the conversation off the “dangerous” things I do for work, the team ended up telling more stories about me. I was nervous she was gonna get scared off by some of them. We did have a long conversation about my line of work and what it entails. I wasn’t gonna be home the same time every single night, I was going to be in danger, and I could get called in at any moment. She told me that she understood and as long as I was making an effort to be there, that was good enough for her. I had gotten a better understanding of her childhood out of that conversation too. Her and Nora’s father was almost never around, and their mom was checked out. I had gotten a bit more information from Mindy about her background. Thea basically had Nora from the moment she was born. Her mom was incapable of raising her and Thea didn’t trust her to raise another baby. Her mother gladly handed her off to Thea. I lost my mother at a young age, but to know she was physically here and not involved would have killed me, I couldn’t even imagine that.
After everyone was finished eating, the table was cleaned up and the food was put away. Everyone went on with their activities. Max, Charlie, and Chin were sitting and drinking longboards. Malia, Kari, and Kono were gathered around the fire pit that Danny had started up even though it wasn’t dark yet. I had gotten Grace and Nora ready to go in the water. Danny was standing about knee deep in, refusing to join us any farther than that. Mindy and Thea were sitting in the sand. They had both shed their clothes to sit in their bathing suits. It took everything in me to keep my eyes off of Thea and focus on the two 7-year old’s demanding my attention. I swam around in the water with the girls for a while, enjoying the intense game of Marco Polo they started and teasing Danny about not wanting to come join us.
Later after it got dark, everyone was gathered around the bonfire. I guess I wore the girls out because Grace was asleep in Danny’s lap and Nora was asleep, curled up at my side. I had my arm over her to keep her from slipping off the bench we were sitting on. Thea was on my other side, my arm over the back of the bench behind her. It felt nice having them both this close to me.
“Jeez Steve, you really wore them out.” Danny said, looking down at his daughter.
Thea shrugged. “It’ll make bedtime easier for Rachel, that’s for sure.” She said, yawning herself. Both their phones pinged at the same time. “Speaking of, I guess she’s here.” Danny got up, still cradling a sleeping Grace in his arms. He walked up the house. Kari followed behind him. Thea stood up and looked like she was about to take Nora from me. I shook my head and stopped her.
“I can carry her for you.” I said. I stood up and gently placed the sleeping girl on my chest, her head resting on my shoulder. Her arms came up and wrapped around my neck.
“Are you sure?” She asked, looking a little nervous. I wanted her to know that I wasn’t scared of kids, and that I didn’t care that she already had a kid. Again, I was thinking about the comments that Danny had made about dating with a kid.
I nodded. “Yeah, I got her. You don’t need to be carrying her anyway.”
We walked out to the front of the house. Danny was putting Grace in the backseat. Kari and Rachel looked like they were having a stare down. Thea sighed.
“Here we go.” I heard her mumble before looking at me. “There’s already a booster seat in the back for her, if you’ll put her in, I’ll buckle her up.”
“I can do it.” I said, but quickly realized how demanding that probably sounded to her. “I mean, if it’s okay with you, so you don’t have to bend down-”
“It’s fine, Steve.” She put a hand on my arm and smiled gently at me. “I just don’t want you to feel like you have to.” Her eyes glanced down at her hand.
I took my hand that was on Nora’s back and put it on hers, squeezing gently. “Look, Thea, I don’t care to help out. With Nora or anything you need, okay?”
She squeezed back and nodded; her eyes looked like they were watering up but she turned away before I could really see. She went over to Rachel while I carefully placed Nora in her booster seat. Danny stayed bent down in the car to show me how to maneuver the seatbelt. I was shocked at how easy it was.
“Oh, don’t go thinking you’re a pro just yet, booster seats are easy. Just wait until you’re trying to put a squirming baby in a car seat with multiple straps and buckles.” He said, kissing Grace’s head and closing her door.
“You’re really helping calm my nerves about this Danny.”
“It’s what I do best.”
Thea’s POV:
I went up to Rachel and gave her a hug. I knew she and Stan were going to talk about a divorce tonight, that’s why Grace was with Danny this afternoon. I wasn’t sure if she exactly told Danny what her plans were though.
“I told him.” She whispered. I could tell she had been crying recently. “I told him and here I am having a staring contest with Danny’s girlfriend.” She rubbed her eyes with the sleeves of her sweater.
I rubbed her arms soothingly. “It’s gonna be okay.” I tried to comfort her. “We can talk more about it tomorrow after the apartment showing.” Rachel and I were finally going to look at some new apartments and condos for me and Nora. She nodded, sniffling as she gave me a hug. I pulled back to look at her. “Are you gonna be okay with the girls tonight? I don’t care to take them if you need to be alone tonight.”
She shook her. “No, I’ll be fine. I think some time with them might be what I need. Stan packed a bag and left after we argued, so he won’t be home.”
I walked to the car to kiss Nora bye even though she was still asleep.
“Are you okay?” Danny asked her. He probably saw how upset she was. I glanced over at Kari then looked at Steve. It was obvious he picked up on the anger radiating off of the blonde woman.
“I’m fine Daniel. I’ll call you next week.” She said shortly and got in her car. The four of us stood and watched her drive off. Kari stormed off to her car, Danny quickly following her. We could hear the argument starting so we headed back to the backyard.
“I’m gonna say bye to everyone and head home.” I told him. “Rachel and I are going to look at apartments tomorrow.”
“You’re moving?” He asked, holding the back gate open for me.
“Yeah, my apartment is only two bedrooms and the stairs up to it are starting to kill me.” I laughed. He looked at me like he wanted to say something. “What?”
“Oh, nothing. Just let me know if you need any help.” He said, giving me a smile. “I know you’re not incapable of doing things yourself and I’m sorry if I’ve made it seem that way. I just want to be able to help.”
I stopped walking and put my hand on his arm to stop him. “I know, and I really appreciate it. Just going to appointments with me and helping me with the doctors’ bills has helped more than you know. I promise I’m not over doing it.” I told him seriously. “Also quit listening to Danny about how scary pregnancy is.” I laughed. Steve laughed too, shaking his head.
“Yeah, Danny has been giving me advice.” He chuckled.
“Yeah, that Dad Training advice might come in handy though.” I giggled and walked towards the group. Everyone looked like they were getting ready to go. I heard Steve groan behind me.
“Oh, God. You heard that!”
After saying goodbye to everyone and giving a round of hugs, Steve walked me out to my car.
“Thank you for inviting us tonight.” I said.
He grinned at me. “I’m glad you had a good time. You and Nora are welcome here any time. I know she absolutely loved the beach, just like you said.”
I laughed. “Oh, yes, she’s my water baby for sure.” I got in my car and Steve closed my door for me. “Let me know when you get home, okay?” I nodded and waved as I pulled out and headed toward my apartment.
After my 10-minute drive, I parked and went to check the mail before slowly climbing the stairs to the apartment. I looked through the mail as I closed and locked my door. A large yellow envelope caught my eye. I set all my things down on the bar in the kitchen and opened it.

Petition for Change of Custody
My breath caught in my throat. I reached for my phone and my first thought was to call Mindy. ‘No, she’s going home with Charlie tonight.’ My next thought was to call Rachel. ‘She has the girls, I can’t push this on her too’ I braced myself on the bar and sat down, dialing the number on my phone.
“Hey, did you make it home?” Steve asked me after he answered. I was silent, trying not to let my tears fall. As soon as I opened my mouth to speak, they fell anyway.
“Can you come over?” My voice broke.
I heard some shuffling on the other end. “Thea, what’s wrong?” He asked, concerned.
“I-I just really need you.”

Lilo and Stitch is so severely underrated
Nanni is a teenager, trying her best to be a mom for a little sister that is in danger of being taken away by social services. Stitch is an alien whose sole personality is centered on destroying, and he is now faced with a life that completely contradicts his core being. And he still tries to be good.
And Lilo? She's just trying her best to fill in the hole her parents' death left behind. "Ohana," to Lilo, doesn't just mean family. It means everyone that comes into her life-- her "friends," her tourists she calls beautiful when most people would see anything but, even her peanut butter sandwiches for a fish who controls the weather. Family is David, the hopeless romantic vying for her sister's love. Family is her sister, the only one who's stayed through everything. To Lilo, even Stitch-- her different, chaotic dog-- is family. This tiny little girl who just wants to be loved teaches us the true capacity to give and find love in the first place, even when the rest of the world has deemed it unworthy of love at all.
And not once does Lilo lose sight of the love for her "family."
"Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten. But it's okay if you want to go. I'll remember you. I remember everyone that leaves."

The Guardians: Unexpected
Summary: Regina and Robin had a terrible blind date 6 years ago, swearing that nothing more would ever come from it. After their best friends die in a car accident, though, they are named guardians of their godson. Now these two have to figure out some way to get along.
Also on AO3
There are some words you never expect to hear in life and you don’t really know that you weren’t expecting them, until they happen.
Regina had been babysitting her godson when she received those such words. Henry had gone down easily, just as he always seemed to for her. She was eating the Chinese takeout she ordered, going through Emma and Neal’s DVR selections when her cell phone rang. She didn’t recognize the number and nearly didn’t pick up, but something in her told her to.
“Ms. Mills, this is Dr. Whale calling from Storybrooke General. You were the next of kin listed for Emma Swan-Cassidy.”
That got her attention almost immediately. Emma’s parents had died when she was young and she had spent most of her life in the foster care system. Until she met Regina and Neal in high school, she had been all alone. After seeing Lilo and Stitch, they had dubbed themselves “Ohana”. They were family, none of them were going to be left behind. Even after Emma and Neal began dating, Regina never felt like less of their friend.
“Is she alright?” Regina asked.
“I’m afraid she was in a car accident with her husband. Things are pretty critical right now.”
Regina knew better than to wake a sleeping baby, but she practically flew up the stairs and grabbed Henry before rushing out to the car. She bounced him lightly as she tried to figure out the car seat one handed. Eventually, it snapped into place and she settled him in, double checking the chest strap.
“It’s gonna be okay,” Regina promised. “We’re just going to check on Mommy and Daddy.”
Regina was torn between speeding and also knowing that Emma would kill her if she got into an accident with her kid. She was the town sheriff after all, car safety was in her blood. So how had she ended up in an accident? Regina tried not to picture the hunk of yellow metal that was their precious Volkswagen bug crushed to a heap. Whale had said that they were critical, but that things were looking up. There was hope.
Once she reached the hospital, Regina powered through the double doors, Henry still in her arms. He had lulled himself back to sleep, thank goodness. Regina came to a halt at the desk, not noticing that someone else had ran up at the same time.
“I got a call about Emma Swan-Cassidy,” she said at the same time the person next to her said “I’m here for Neal Cassidy.”
She looked over and realized that it was Robin Locksley. She stiffened a bit, adjusting the 10-month-old in her arms. Regina hadn’t seen Robin since the Christening, as it should’ve been. The two had a disastrous first date before Henry was born. Robin had attended community college with Neal and the two became best buds. For some reason, Emma and Neal assumed they’d be a perfect match, but they had absolutely zero in common. The entire night they argued over every little thing. Regina had made Emma vow to never have her be in the same room as him. She wouldn’t have been surprised if Robin had done the same with Neal.
So, naturally, Emma and Neal had made them maid of honor and best man, respectively at their wedding. Then they had both been named Henry’s godparents. Even so, Regina had sucked it up. Seeing him a couple of times a year at events for Henry would be fine for her. In that moment, none of that really mattered anyway. Emma was hurt and Regina had to focus on her.
“What are you doing here?” Robin asked.
“I’m Emma’s next of kin. What about you?”
“They couldn’t reach Neal’s dad, I was the next on the list.”
“Oh.”
“Why do you have Henry?”
“I was babysitting when I got the call.”
“So, you brought him to the hospital…”
“What would you have like to me do? Hm?” Regina arched an eyebrow, doing her best to keep her voice calm. “Leave him by himself?”
The nurse interrupted their conversation. “The doctor will be out in a minute to speak with you both.”
Regina swiftly walked away, cuddling Henry closer to her. She couldn’t help but notice Robin hovering and she wanted to snap again, but another part of her couldn’t blame him. In her arms was the one thing that Emma and Neal loved more than anything in the world. As much as Robina and Regina disagreed on everything, at least they shared love for that little boy.
“Do you know details about the accident?” She asked, her voice growing soft.
Robin shook his head. “Probably as much as you.”
“God, I just don’t get it. Emma was the master at car safety. Sure, that bug was a piece of junk, but she was always lecturing me about safe driving.”
“I guarantee you, it wasn’t on either of them.”
A tired looking doctor with blonde hair approached the two of them. “Are you here for Mr. and Mrs. Cassidy?”
Regina nodded. “Yes. What happened?”
“Going off the police report, someone ran a red light and collided with them. It was a hit and run, they’re still unsure of who did it but they’re on the lookout.”
Regina wrapped Henry’s blanket further around him out of protection, as though the person who hurt his parents would suddenly come out and hurt him. “Oh my God.”
“But…Emma and Neal?” Robin saying their names came out more of a question than anything. “Are they okay?”
Dr. Whale frowned. “I’m sorry to report that Mr. Cassidy died on impact. We did all we could with Mrs. Swan-Cassidy but she had lost too much blood. We had to pronounce her dead not long after arrival.”
Regina would’ve dropped Henry, had Robin not rushed to her side. Their first and only date hadn’t ended in so much as a kiss, but suddenly his arms were around her and he was holding her up right. Henry was awake and crying again, but Regina didn’t even notice. She held tightly to him with one arm, her other hand clutching to Robin’s shirt as she sobbed. It wasn’t until she felt her hair growing wet that she realized he was crying too.
The next few hours passed in a blur for Robin. He remembered driving Regina back to Emma and Neal’s, watching her tuck Henry back into bed. A part of him could recall dialing Logan Gold’s number so he could be made aware of his son’s passing. He assured him that Henry would be alright until his arrival to Storybrooke. Regina had arranged with CPS to let Henry stay with her, as she was what was most familiar.
He didn’t sleep. He sat next to Regina on the couch, both of them crying but not touching one another. Robin had only ever seen Regina cry once before and those were tears of joy the day Henry had been born. He had also never seen her so relaxed, normally she wore pantsuits or dresses. To babysit, she had been in comfy jeans and a Ramones t-shirt. Those were the things he’d remember. They didn’t say a word until the sun started to rise over the house and Henry’s cries could be heard from upstairs.
“I’ll get him,” Robin said groggily.
“I’ll start on breakfast.”
“I’m not hungry.”
“Maybe not, but he needs to eat.” Regina pushed herself up and rubbed at her swollen eyes. “I’m also going to call Kathryn Gilda. She was a friend of Emma’s dad, their lawyer.”
“I didn’t even know they had a lawyer.”
“Only got one after Henry.”
Regina walked into the kitchen and Robin headed up the stairs. The home was cozy, inviting. Neal and Emma had always fantasized about living by the beach, and they were only a 5 minute walk. They talked about how they’d take Henry there and push him on the swings, they couldn’t wait to teach him how to swim. Their dream had always been to buy a vacation home in Florida, Tallahassee to specific, but it wasn’t about to come to fruition.
Robin went into the nursery and found Henry trying to pull himself up on the bars. He lifted him out, taking in the room. It was car themed, license plates from every state that Neal had traveled to-almost had all 50, only Hawaii and Texas remained. The sheets were yellow, the walls a light grey. That had been Emma’s doing, the color scheme picked out long before they found out they were having a boy.
Looking down at Henry, he could instantly see the bits of Emma and Neal in there. He had green eyes like his mom. He didn’t have much hair yet, but wisps of brown like his dad were evident. He even had Neal’s smile, minus the teeth. God, how had he never noticed just how much this little boy resembled his parents?
“Hey bub,” he whispered. “I know all of this is confusing, but we’ll make sure you’re taken care of.”
Robin got Henry ready, changing his diaper and putting him in what appeared to be the easiest thing to change him in and out of. He wondered if Mr. Gold would bring him to visit. Losing Neal would be hard enough, but Henry being all the way out in Scotland would be a lot harder.
Despite him and Regina not getting along, they managed to get through the morning okay. Neither said what was on their mind, they just went through the motions. Regina didn’t eat and neither did he, but Henry did a good job of getting down his oatmeal. They half-heartedly played with him, trying to keep their spirits up for his sake. By the time they put him down for his morning nap, Kathryn had arrived.
“So, I spoke with Logan Gold again this morning,” Robin said. “He’s asked us to put together the funeral arrangements, but he’ll be here in time for that.”
“I’m assuming it’d be okay if I looked after Henry in the meantime?” Regina asked.
Kathryn tilted her head. “What do you mean?”
“I figured that Mr. Gold would be taking Henry with him back to Scotland.”
Kathryn’s mouth opened, then closed again. Finally after a few moments, she found her words. “Did Emma and Neal discuss with you the plans they had for Henry in the event of their death?”
Regina looked over at Robin, who shook his head. She glanced back at Kathryn. “No.”
“Well, they named both of you.”
“Both of us?” Regina asked right away.
“Yes.”
Robin and Regina looked between one another, shocked. Neal had never brought this up, ever. Neither had Emma for that matter. There had been a few times where they started talking about death, but Robin always shrugged that off. Death made him uncomfortable, as it did most people. He had lost both of his parents by the time he was 18. That didn’t mean that they couldn’t have just come out and said it, though.
He barely knew Regina. They had been one date, one. Outside that, all of their conversations had revolved around Neal, Emma and Henry. They spoke politely, just barely, at gatherings for their friends. They posed for pictures, but that was it. If he had been told that Emma and Neal had left Henry to just him, he would find a way to handle it. He loved the kid. But raising a baby with Regina? How did they expect him to do that? She hated his guts.
“I’m sure this isn’t how you two pictured starting a family,” Kathryn continued when neither of them spoke.
“There has to have been a misunderstanding,” Regina said. “We’re not married.”
“They tried setting us up once,” Robin clarified. “But it didn’t take. We barely even know each other…”
Kathryn held up a hand as if to tell him to shut up. “I understand all of this. When they told me that you two weren’t so much as dating, I tried to advise them to go with someone else but they insisted.”
“I don’t understand. Why wouldn’t Neal want his son to go with Logan?”
“Neal’s father is disabled. He’s not incapable of caring for Henry. As I recall, he said he’d hire a nanny and send him to the best schools.” She folded her hands. “But it’s not what they wanted. Neal wanted his son to have hands on parents, ones that were there for him. While Mr. Gold is now married and is very happy with his new wife, Neal and Emma just didn’t feel they’d raise him the way they wanted.”
“Are Belle and Mr. Gold aware of this?” Regina asked.
“They are. I advised them to talk this over with family, so there would be no issue with the will being contested. They told me that Mr. and Mrs. Gold understood.”
Robin had a hard time believing that Logan Gold would take such a thing well, but also didn’t doubt that Neal would lie about him being okay with it. Belle had seemed to soften his best friend’s father, the last Robin had seen. Maybe he was willing to do what was best for Henry.
Was that really Robin and Regina raising him, though? And if Neal could discuss this with his father, why not the two of them?
“You two could say no,” Kathryn continued. “While Neal and Emma did not want Henry moving to Scotland, they didn’t forbid it either. The two of you were their first choice. This is a big responsibility and I’m sure you’re aware of that. You two would have to live here, under one roof, raising this child together. It’s not impossible, but it’s not for everyone.”
“What if…only one of us wanted to do it?” Regina spoke up. “Would that…be okay?”
Robin shot her a look. “Why do you assume only you would want to do it?”
“Well, I didn’t see you volunteering.”
“It’s a lot to take in at once. That doesn’t mean I don’t want to.”
“Well, I’m not backing down from Henry just because you want him too.”
“I didn’t ask you too.”
“So, you want us both to do this?”
“You’re not exactly my top pick to raise a kid with, but I’m saying we can work it out. For Henry’s sake.”
Regina stared at him for a moment, before looking back at Kathryn.
“We’d both have to live here together?” She asked.
“For now. The life insurance policies would cover the mortgage, but outside that they didn’t have a lot of savings. I don’t think that Emma and Neal expected you to live here, together, full time, but just enough to adapt Henry to the situation. He’s young, but not young enough that he wasn’t aware who his parents are. In time, if you two so desired, you could start splitting custody and move out. If you really have his best interest at heart, this would be my suggestion.”
Robin and Regina were silent for a bit longer. It was clear that if they had a choice, neither would wish to be put in such a situation. Yet, there they were. Neal and Emma had left Henry to them. They would have to figure it out…together.
“How soon could we file for guardianship?” Regina asked, softly.
“The sooner the better. I can get you both as his temporary guardians as soon as tomorrow, in six months-time, if all goes well, you’ll be able to adopt.”
Just like that, Robin Locksley had become a father. When he pictured this moment, he saw himself married, getting a newborn. He saw himself in love.
He definitely didn’t see himself going into it with a woman that hated every fiber of his being.

A P P R E C I A T I O N W E E K — NOV. 2018
“ F r i e n d s become our chosen f a m i l y. ”
To the mods — thank you. for all you do, for all the hard work and sacrifice you put in so that we can have a safe space to write with our friends. high enough praise can’t be given. thank you a million times over. @hollywoodlandhq
To Ally — my sister from another mister. we share a brain & it’s awesome. the friendship we’ve formed - although it was formed long ago, we just didn’t realize it *coughmileyxdylancough* lmao - has quickly become something so important to me that i don’t know how i ever functioned without it. the only thing i love more than writing out precious children with you is our chats out of character. whenever i have a bad day or hell, even a whole bad weekend, i know that i can log on and that you’ll make me feel better instantly. i’m so glad i finally watched the fosters & that my need for more noah/maia interaction led me to you. @hqmaia
To Vic — one of my oldest rp friends. you’ve seen me through thick and thin and i think the only thing more beautiful than our friendship is noah & cierra’s. i’ve gone to you with some of the craziest shit this weird brain of mine has come up with & never once did you laugh me out of the room or write me off. i don’t know if that says more about you or me but whichever it is, i’m beyond grateful for our friendship that just keeps getting better with age. @cierrahq
To Kingsley — i’m so glad that you worked up the courage to im me first (bc we both know full well that i was never going to be the one to bother you) because charmila is eVeRyThInG. and we shant forget the time that we /really/ bonded over a certain twitter video(s) which instantly sent our friendship up like 5 million levels. i don’t want to talk about it for fear of getting a lil hot n bothered but know that it was /quite/ the friendship former and i am so glad that you & i will forever share that experience. we saw things, man. it changed us. for the better...i think? @jfcmelton
To Charlie — another one of my age old friends. at the risk of sounding FIVE THOUSAND years old, i literally watched you grow up. i cherish our friendship so so much and it makes my heart so happy to see you out there killing the game, chasing your dreams, and owning it. i can always count on you for an ego boost and a kind word or two. @emilybettrickrds
To Bonnie — my bonbon. you are truly one of the sweetest humans i’ve never met. i mean, who tf sends a handmade christmas card all the way to hawaii along with the sweetest note i’ve ever read? things like that really make an impact on me & i hope you know how much i value the friendship we’ve built. your influence on me and my writing is something that i will forever be grateful for. and getting the chance to ship with you? priceless. @hyfdanielle
To Becca — another one of my lifers. despite all the unnecessary and idiotic bullshit that seems to come your way, you have never been anything but kind, understanding, and wonderful in all the years i’ve known you. you put your heart and soul into every one of your muses and it is absolutely inspiring. the dedication you’ve shown is something that i look to as an example and the creativity that you have is something of an aspiration to me. thank you for teaching me how fulfilling hard work in the name of a passion can be. @liliisms
To Rose — we’re connected!!! irl!!! who knew that would /ever/ be something that could possibly happen. out of aaaall the people in this big, wide world...the fact that we managed to find a mutual connection is nothing short of a miracle & a sign that we were always meant to be friends. even though i’m old enough to be your grandma (it’s fine, it’s cool, i’m fine...). i adore you & your writing & your muses, each and every one of ‘em. keep shining, you star. @joekcery
To KJ — you are literally the reason i came back to writing. i was nervous in the aftermath of things but a few simple texts from you & any hesitation was out the window. i couldn’t pass up the chance to round out the riv gang and i knew, if you were happy here, i would be happy here as well. our personalities just click and have since day one; it’s a true gift that i’ll always be thankful for. also, our love for ryan guzman’s face will forever bond us (have you /seen/ the new season of 911? HOT. DANG.). love you long time, honey. @kjapayo
To Emily — thank you for helping me keep track of our threads because anyone who knows me can attest to the fact that i’m a super mega scatter brain who is very bad at juggling multiple things & would lose her head if it wasn’t attached to her body. that said, i absolutely adore our cami/troian friendship to bits. they’re the cutest thing since newborn puppies & i’m very grateful for each and every chance i have to interact with you. @itstbellisario
To Sadie — i will never have a bigger brotp than nat & gi. they were cute af fam! not only are you an incredible writer who puts incredible amounts of effort into all her muses, you’re a fantastic admin & i’m so grateful to have you (and the rest of the admin team) at the helm of this machine. each chance i have to write against you makes me a better writer so thank you. @ohlizzo
To the rest of this lovely, little ohana — for those who don’t know, i took a few months off from writing in a group setting on tumblr over the summer. partially due to a bit of drama in the tumblr rp sphere but mostly due to a stressful solo teaching job that took every second of my life to successfully accomplish (6th, 7th, and 8th graders are no joke, y’all). but once the dust settled and i returned to my normal, far less stressful autumnal job, i came back in search of a new place to call home. thankfully, i heard whisperings of a safe space that had been set up by a few names that were familiar to me and i knew i had to throw my name into the ring. so to those i’ve known for a while from past places, i’ve enjoyed every minute back in your ranks. to those newer who found a home here in this place, i’m so glad you did. i’m glad you found us. to everyone, thanks for being here. happy six months, hollywoodland!
#hwlappreciation2018#i'm sorry i don't have time to tag everyone#but know this extends to each & every one of you#even if we've never spoken#i'm grateful that you're here with us :)#okay imma go home before i get weepy at work#be back online in an hour or so

Idyllic Past vs Theoretical Future
- What Danny and Steve’s Hallucinations Reveal about How They See Themselves and Each Other -
While H50 is not a show that normally warrants a deep meta reading, the subtext, parallels, and allegories being more surface level and easily picked up on than a show like Sherlock, after an episode like 8x10, the need presents itself. In order to properly analyze 8x10 though, we have to go all the way back to 5x07.
In episode 5x07, we see Steve kidnapped and drugged by Wo Fat in what would prove to be their final confrontation. Wo Fat is in pursuit of answers regarding his father and Steve, at least at the time, genuinely did not know of his father’s location. Between bouts of being tortured, Steve is injected with a cocktail of hallucinogenic drugs that have him hallucinating a past where he envisions how the people he loves would be if they never suffered the greatest loss of their lives. In effect, he takes their pain away. This manifests itself differently for everyone involved:
Kono - Never blows out her knee surfing, so she goes pro and makes it big, to the point where she makes commercials for her endorsers
Chin - Is never believed to be a corrupt cop and rises to the rank of captain. There is even talk that he could one day become chief of police
Lou - The incident in Chicago never happens and he is only in Hawaii for a golf trip
Jenna - Her fiance is never murdered and is only in Hawaii for what is implied to be a vacation
Danny - He and Rachel never get divorced and he willingly moved his family to Hawaii
Steve - Doesn’t lose his father to Victor Hesse and only comes back to Hawaii to apprehend the man behind the failed hit on his father
Notice the massive alteration Steve made?? By taking away the greatest loss his loved ones have suffered, he made himself a non-factor in their lives and subsequent happiness. He doesn’t even meet Kono, Lou, and Jenna and only exchanges pleasantries with Chin. But aside from saving his own father, he does make one entirely selfish choice…
Danny.
By taking away the loss of his divorce, Danny has no reason to be in Hawaii, nevertheless speak of it as lovingly as he does or put everything into motion by saving Steve’s father. This speaks so deeply about what Steve wants for Danny as well as himself. He takes away the pain of Danny’s divorce, hence giving him a happy marriage so his family is still a solid unit, but he is unwilling to compromise being in Danny’s life even though he is the one of all of his loved ones that he never should have encountered in this idyllic past. Steve wants Danny to want to be in Hawaii, to choose it instead of being there against his will. He wants him to take part in the culture and loosen up a bit. But most revealing of all is that he wants Danny to want to be his partner, for Danny to ask him to be his partner instead of being ordered into a partnership. In other words, Steve wants to be in Danny’s life and he wants Danny to want him there, to pick him in the same way he picked him. That’s an incredibly powerful statement.
In contrast to Steve’s hallucinations, Danny looked to the future in 8x10.
The episode opens with a flash forward to the restaurant’s future. Pictures of their ohana cover the entrance walls, the place is packed, Steve is happily chatting with patrons and getting some complimentary glasses of wine for a couple’s anniversary. Danny is on quality control in the kitchen, getting dishes out, and preparing a new potential dish. When Steve comes back, he gives Danny a hug and tells him it’s a full house. Danny feeds him a bite of the new dish and Steve loves it, singing him praises, which obviously pleases Danny. The restaurant soon fades away and we find out Danny’s been shot.
The next hallucination is of Grace and Will’s wedding day. It’s taking place at Steve’s house and Grace calls Danny into the room, worried that love isn’t enough for her to go through with the wedding. Danny tells her that if her experience of growing up with parents who divorced taught her anything, it should be that relationships take work and that it’s only when you don’t put work into it that they fall apart. He leaves her to collect herself and goes downstairs to get himself and Lou a beer. They talk about how they’ve raised good kids and the scene fades.
After returning to the present, the scene goes to another hallucination, this one centering around Charlie becoming a member of HPD. The scene reveals that Tani (a cop) and Junior (a SEAL) are married, Junior sporting the longer hair that Tani said would be cute on him, and they kiss. Danny sees the kiss and turns away, cringing at the sight, and Steve is revealed to also still have his longer hair, not the buzz cut that Danny protested against (he’s also revealed to be wearing colorful socks like Danny (x)). Charlie looks towards them and Danny says that he was looking at him, whereas Steve says he was looking at him because he’s his role model. They all congratulate Charlie, Tani even offering him a position on her Five-0 squad (!!), and take pics with him, Danny photobombing Steve’s.
Present time reveals that Danny’s situation is increasingly critical when he fades again, this time we see him walking towards the hospital nursery where Adam is revealed to be watching over his and Kono’s new baby girl. In a scene reminiscent of 2x14 when Steve went to comfort Danny watching over newborn Charlie, Danny comforts Adam and mentions that he needs to learn how to swaddle her. He says he’d teach Adam how to do it if it wasn’t for the gunshot wound in his chest.
Danny is finally removed from the quarantine room after Lou sledgehammers a wall down and is taken into emergency surgery. His condition further deteriorates and he flatlines on the table, the final hallucination presenting itself at this point. He’s sitting with Steve in their chairs on the beach (Steve with the full head of hair he mentioned earlier he would go to the grave with), both clearly in their 70′s or 80′s. Danny’s dozing in his chair when Steve starts talking to him, informing him that Clara called for him the previous day, but he forgot to inform him. It turns out that Clara, Danny’s granddaughter, called to inform him of her intention to attend the police academy and ask whether he would’ve changed anything in his life. He tells Steve that he told her that he wouldn’t, that he wouldn’t change a single aspect of his life. They banter back and forth and the scene fades on a shot of Steve.
It cannot be understated how important this hallucination is. In the moments before death, this is where Danny went. His mind wanted to have one final conversation with Steve, one where he makes it clear that he regrets nothing, especially him, and to hear him say “I love you” one more time. And what’s incredible is that’s only cutting the surface of it.
That final hallucinatory scene is also fascinating in that it raises more questions than it answers. Clara called Steve’s in order to talk to Danny and Steve admits that he forgot to tell him. First of all, why on earth would Danny’s granddaughter call Steve to talk to Danny? And with Steve saying that he forgot to tell him, it implies that he saw Danny before the present time. The latter could merely imply that they still go see each other nearly every day, but taking their advanced age into account, that isn’t very likely. When considering both issues though, it implies that Steve and Danny are, at the very least, living together and that Steve forgot to tell Danny Clara called because he was sleeping or working on something and it slipped his mind.
Also, why would Clara call instead of just visit? It could just mean she was too busy to stop by, but it could also imply that she doesn’t live in Hawaii. If she doesn’t live in Hawaii, was she raised by Grace and Will (I’m assuming it’s Grace’s daughter since Charlie joined HPD and would presumably still be in Hawaii) in another state? With Grace potentially having moved to another state and Charlie an adult, why didn’t Danny go back to New Jersey? You could say it’s because of the restaurant, but even that implies he made a choice. Much like Steve’s hallucination in 5x07 wanted, Danny chose Hawaii and Steve over New Jersey.
The big take away from this scene though is Danny telling Steve he wouldn’t change anything, not one aspect of his life. He’d take the divorce and heartbreak, the bullet and stab wounds, everything, to land to where he ended up. He’s content, he’s happy, with the life that he - they - created.
Weaving all these hallucinatory scenes together reveals a common, and potentially damning, thread about Danny. Specifically, there are three subjects present in every single hallucination:
His kids, marriage, and Steve.
Hallucination 1 - Grace and Charlie are one of the pictures on the wall; the couple celebrating their wedding anniversary; Steve tending to the restaurant and trying Danny’s new dish
Hallucination 2 - Has a heart-to-heart with Grace; Grace’s wedding day; the wedding is taking place on Steve’s beach
Hallucination 3 - Charlie joining HPD; Tani and Junior are married; Steve attended the ceremony with him
Hallucination 4 - Danny learned how to swaddle his babies; Adam and Kono’s marriage is still intact; the scene is reminiscent of the one when Steve comforts Danny after Charlie’s birth in 2x14
Hallucination 5 - The daughter of one of his kids called; he’s sitting with Steve on the beach
Now, when looking at the final hallucination, the marriage point isn’t as obvious as it is in the others, but then the show pulled this sneaky move:
While it seems from the short glimpses we see of Danny’s left hand that he’s not wearing a wedding ring, the lens flair on the final shot of Steve clearly draws attention to his left hand and our inability to see if Steve is wearing one. Assuming they didn’t just decide to drop the marriage thread for this final hallucination, we know something is here. When you take into account Steve being somehow present in all the other hallucinations, Steve’s admittance in 8x06 that he’d like to grow old and get married, and the complete lack of girlfriends in any hallucination, as well as no one else being present in the scene, the marriage here is clearly Steve and Danny’s.
On the heels of that revelation, we’re left to ask how serious the marriage thread here is. Their relationship has been compared to a marriage several times, Steve and Danny themselves drawing the comparison once each, so this could just be a nod to that and to us, the fandom who ships them. It’s a figurative marriage in that case, not a literal one, but that may not be what’s happening here. All the other marriages in the hallucinations have been literal ones and like I stated above, it is likely they are living together. In their old age, did they just decide living together was easier and more comforting?
Or, did they take that final step at some point and they’ve been married and living together, potentially for decades?
(also, if you’re into symbolism, smoking a pipe is an old trick to imply SMOKING a PIPE. you’re welcome)
No matter which way you cut it, Danny has come to see Steve as an integral part of his life, lovingly woven into every fiber and inextricable from himself. Much like Steve did in his hallucinations, Danny refuses to see a life without him and wants to grow old with him, bickering and bantering to their heart’s desire, maybe even living together. Their relationship permeates every aspect of his life, it being the greatest relationship he’s built outside of the ones with his children, and he wants to live out his days by his side. Whether figurative or literal, that sounds like a marriage to me, and to Danny, too.

A note to myself:
Focus focus focus
Since i know you better than anyone you cannot lie to me you get caught up in love
Everything about it and you stop yourself to build up strangers you fall for
Focus on you
Because what ive learned is what we learned is no matter how hard you love how much you try people especially im this generation are focused on self
And thats okay
There arent many people who value what we do
And thats okay
And i know some days can get sadder than others because you are a bomb filled with love that you had always and still wish someone can return to you
But like a bomb you implode trying to make the most of a fling of a relationship that isnt meant for you
You want a career
Not just a job that pays well but something you wake up passionate about everyday something that makes a difference in some way.
Maybe the shelter youve dreamed of building
Or the center for people who need counseling support and to be heard
That passion is alive in me and i want no i need to accomplish that!
You want a home
You want a quaint slice of heaven not the biggest but enough to host family thanksgivings or Christmas and enough space for guests when they come and for being the hostess with the most. A home with more than one full bath a garage so i always have parking and a nice big back yard to build my future daughter a dragon guarded castle. Maybe the castle is just a treehouse and the dragon is our lovable puppers named dragon lol but the boys dont need to know all that lol. Or a place to teach my future children how to defend themselves or to play and be completely invested in them and family fun time.
You want family
You want the love that comes with it the unconditional love caring concern and effort and sometimes disagreements but the ultimate trying to understand one another and still always love. I want my kids to know no matter how they dress what their passions are they are loved so unconditionally. They will have a warm home always even when they are old farts. They will have support and encouragement to follow their passions. The world is cruel on its own but in our home there is nothing but love. When they need mom or a place they will never be turned away. We are ohana.
You want floofs
Yes its hard for you to think of another floof other than batman the floof we will forever love. But when it is time and the house is just the way we like it we can be brave enough to relove another floor or two or maybe ten doggos (definitely one first) to be your fur babies to love to spoil to protect like they would protect me.
You want to travel
You want to explore all parts of the world and be a dork like you are lol maybe have Mickey ears in disney in japan do cheesy tourist but also dare to travel outside to experience different cultures and maybe learn to say “my wife is the most beautiful” in every language so my future wife and i have a thing a disgusting sweet thing we thats makes our kids gag every time we travel someplace new.
You want a partner/a wife the spaghetti to your meatballs the peanut to your jelly the nutella to your ferrero rocher
Meaning you want someone who not only tries but does. Not only sells you a dream but is committed to the end picture with you. Not just to keep you from being lonely but to challenge you when you are being stubborn. To understand you just like you will try to understand her. Someone who hears you when you say you are not broken or crazy but a little different when you tell her you have BPD. Not call you a liar or minimize what is happening or has happened to you or within you. When you tell her your secrets she respect you enough to not hurt you in ways that feel bigger than they seem to her. Someone who will not hurt you physically or emotionally because we have had enough of people do that already. She will work hard at whatever she loves to do or her work or her passions be. She wont feel judged or less than me or anyone because i will make sure she is love and respected no matter what she does. She will be different. And when she says i am different or you deserve better she will love you in all the ways to show you that she really meant that. She wont be envious of what you have because she knows what is mine is ours and we both will always lift each other up. She will be a fighter like me but instead of fighting each other we with stand together with our backs towards one another and our gloves our ready to fight the world! Ready to fight FOR each other and our FAMILY. She will be the best MOM to our kids the sweetest kindest warmest woman in the planet and she will choose you because she sees all that you are and she loved you.
Basically what i am trying to say self is this
You want a lot right? Wrongo! it seems like a lot when you are in a place or in bad company!
You are worth the most!
So dont settle for anything less
Dont settle for a job that doesnt fit
Dont settle for a place that isnt “home”
Dont settle with being less than the parent you want to be
Dont settle for not adventuring
Dont settle for love that isnt for you
Dont settle especially when life gets hard or you start feeling lonely or the weight of your emotions or the world let that all go and be patient. I am not a holy woman but i know that you always move with good in you so although some days feel like we’ve gotten a beating think of the BIG PICTURE we are GOING TO COME UP ACES WITH EVERYTHING WE DREAMED OF IN OUR HANDS 🙌

Ohana (Gleggie x Daughter Reader)
Word Count: 2,531
Glenn/Maggie x Daughter Reader
Request: So I would like to request a Gleggie daughter one please. They had their baby in Alexandria before Negan and the reader distances herself from them, opting to go hunt to give them space. After they don’t see her for a few days they corner her and she confesses that her 1st adoptive family abandoned her after getting a baby. Happy family make up and reader gets to hold their baby sibling and something cute happens.
Warnings: Language, mentions of death, mentions of abandonment, slight angst, fluff
a/n: This was kind of rushed since I wrote it in like a matter of two hours for the anon who said they were having a bad night, it’s unbeta’d and unedited/revised, and yes the title is totally inspired by Lilo and Sitich, but I hope you still enjoy it. This one is for you, anon :)
“Y/N, you need to go to the infirmary. Now.” Michonne pants as she bursts through the door of Carl’s room.
You look up at her confused, setting down your comic book that your best friend Carl had lent you as you try to read the expression on Michonne’s face. Panic seeps in your mind as you go through all the possibilities- did someone die? Did someone get hurt? With the earth being in the condition it is now, no one is safe. And with Glenn having gone on a run today with some of the other Alexandrians, all of the worst “what if’s” run through your head. You can’t lose your Glenn- he’s your dad. Maybe not by blood, but that doesn’t matter.
“Everything’s alright,” Michonne reassures, noticing the panicked look on your face. “Just trust me. Go to the infirmary.”
“O-Okay.” You stammer, getting up off Carl’s bed quickly to follow Michonne out of the door. “I’ll see you later, Carl.”
You don’t give him time to respond before you are rushing out the door and running down the streets of Alexandria, nervousness settling in as you wonder what you’re going to walk into when you get into the infirmary. Michonne had managed to calm your nerves slightly by reassuring you that everything was okay (meaning that neither Glenn nor Maggie are hurt, which is all you care about), but the worry is still present inside of you.
Your hand shakily turns the door handle of the small, white house that the doctor practices is. You can see Glenn and Denise standing beside the table through the windows, both of them holding the hands of a person laying down on the table.
“What’s going on? Is everything okay?” You sprint inside. Maggie’s laying on the table, giving you a weak smile as her grip on Glenn’s hands tighten. Is she… Is she having the baby?
“Dad?” You look up at Glenn in fear. “Is she having the baby? Are you having the baby? No, this can’t be happening. This can’t happen, mom. You’re two months early, the baby… Denise, you said-“
“I know what I said.” Denise shakes her head, interrupting your nervous jabbering. “But the baby is coming now. I’m going to do my best to make sure she gets through this smoothly and nothing happens. She’s going to be okay, Y/N.”
“You’re gettin’ a sibling.” Maggie lets go of Denise’s hand, reaching over to grab yours.
“You got this, babe.” Glenn tells Maggie, running his free hand through her hair. “You’re the strongest woman I know. You got this. You’re going to be a great mother.”
“Are you stayin’, Y/N?” Maggie asks you, strain becoming more obvious on her face as a contraction begins.
Your mouth is closed shut, memories of the past making themselves present in your mind again. You haven’t always been in Rick’s group or had Glenn and Maggie as parents. You had only met them just before you had found the prison. You had been walking on the road, eating an apple you had found in an abandoned market when Rick had found you. He was hesitant at first, asking you questions. But in the end, you were just a kid. A kid that was all alone, and he took you into their group. Your relationship with Glenn and Maggie had only bloomed from there, them becoming what you consider your adoptive parents.
Before finding Glenn and Maggie, though, you had been with another group down in southern Georgia. You had a camp set up just north of the border of Florida, and everything was going well for a while. You didn’t have your parents anymore, but John and Carrie, two of the adults in the group, took you under their wing, even calling you their daughter. Of course you missed your real parents, as they had died tragically trying to get you to safety only months prior, but having that sense of safety as a young teenager was important to you. John and Carrie provided that for you, and you loved them. You put your total and complete trust in them.
A few months after you had gotten comfortable in the camp, Carrie revealed to you that she was pregnant. She had been crying and was terrified, telling you that you were the first person she was telling. You were worried, too, but you were more excited than anything. You’d never had a little sibling before.
The pregnancy came and went, and eventually, she had her baby. At first, they were so happy to have a “cute, happy family.” But as time went on, they focused on their baby more, and you had even heard them talking about how they “didn’t want the responsibility of taking care of you anymore.” After about six months, they had abandoned you completely. They made someone take care of you, stopped calling you their own daughter, referring you to as “that girl” more often than not. It broke your heart.
When Maggie and Glenn had first announced to you that they were going to have a baby, your first reaction was fear. Your previous adoptive parents had abandoned you the minute they got into the same situation, and as much as you love and trust Glenn and Maggie, you couldn’t help but be afraid. You never told them about your fears, choosing to keep them inside instead, thinking that they were irrational. You know Glenn and Maggie love you, and you vowed to work on your fears.
Until right now. All the feelings of abandonment and despair are coming flooding back, and all those months of convincing yourself that things would be different this time have gone to crap. You’re back at square one- you’re terrified.
“I- I have to go.” You stutter out, dropping Maggie’s hand.
“Y/N, where are-“ Glenn begins, but the sound of the door slamming behind you cuts him off.
It’s not that you don’t want them to have a baby, or to be happy. It’s not that you don’t want a little brother or sister. You desperately want all of that, more than you’ve ever wanted anything else in your life. But remembering what happened last time… It’s not something you want to happen again.
Your eyes begin to water up, but you shake the tears away. You’re not letting it get to you. This is a good thing for them- you can’t ruin it. The best thing you feel like you can do is to give them a few days alone. They’re going to have a newborn, who undoubtedly will keep their hands full and you know they won’t want to deal with a teenage girl as well. You feel like the only thing you can do is put some space in between you.
“Where are you going?” A voice calls out from behind you. You turn around, expecting to see Glenn standing there, but instead, you’re faced with Carl. “Maggie’s having her baby, don’t you want to be there?”
“No.” You shake your head. “That’s her and Glenn’s baby, I don’t think I have any business being in there.”
“Woah, since when do you refer to them by their first names?” Carl looks at you dead in the eye, a mixture of confusion and worry on their faces. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine.” You shake your head. “I just… I need some time. They need some time. If they ask where I’m at, tell them I’m goin’ hunting for a few days. I’m taking my knife, gun, and crossbow. Thank god Daryl taught me how to shoot, right?”
“You can’t leave.” Carl looks hurt. “You know they love you. Don’t do this.”
“I’m not running away, I’ll be back. We just… They need time with their baby, Carl. They don’t need to have to deal with a teenager who’s not even their real kid.” You snap, a tear threatening to fall.
“I guess I can’t stop you.” He says after a long period of silence. “Be safe. Don’t get hurt. And remember that they love you, no matter what you’re telling yourself right now. They love you and they care about you a lot.”
“Yeah.” You smile weakly at him. “I’m just… I don’t know how to explain what’s going through my head right now.”
“I know I said I couldn’t stop you, but I’m gonna damn try anyways. You’re going out on a suicide mission, Y/N. Stay here. You don’t have to tell me what’s going on in your head right now, I already know.” He frowns at you. “You told me that one time you got really drunk when we first got to Alexandria. I wasn’t going to bring it up, but… I’m just telling you, I understand why you feel like this. Maggie and Glenn aren’t going to leave you, though. But leaving here? Leaving this place? You’re gonna get yourself killed. So, stay here. I’m not sayin’ you have to be around your parents and the baby, but stay. You’re going to hurt your parents even worse if you leave than if you just avoid them for a few days.”
“Yeah… I guess you’re right.” You mumble. “You mind having an extra person stay at your house for a couple of days?”
-
For the few days following that night, you’ve managed to remain busy enough to not have even seen Glenn or Maggie. During the night, you’ve made up excuses to stay over at Carl’s house, and during the day you’re either out on a run with some other people from the group or off doing your own thing. And from what you’re noticing, Glenn and Maggie seem to be too busy to notice. And it hurts.
You’re currently sitting on the front porch of Daryl’s house, having just finished your crossbow training session with him. Daryl offered to teach you how to shoot whenever the group arrived in Alexandria, and as much as you didn’t feel like going to “training” today, you forced yourself. Anything to get your thoughts away from your current predicament with Glenn and Maggie, plus the baby.
“Glenn was askin’ bout you earlier.” Daryl walks up beside you. “Says you’ve been avoidin’ them. Says you walked out when Maggie was givin’ birth. The hell is goin’ on? You alright?”
“I guess.” You shrug. “Just figured they needed their space since they have a baby now and all. I’m good.”
“’Ya can’t bullshit a bullshitter, Y/N.” Daryl laughs. “I know you ain’t alright. You been running the other way whenever Glenn walks by, and aint even seen your new baby brother yet. You been stayin’ at the Grimes house every night. What’s goin’ on in your head up there?”
“Yeah, I’d like to know too, actually.” A voice calls out to your right. You turn your body and see Glenn standing there, looking not so happy with you. “Because, Daryl, how would you feel if your daughter started avoiding you and your family? It’d be pretty damn shitty, right?”
“Nah, this conversation aint for me. This is between you guys. See y’all later.” Daryl walks away quickly, leaving you and Glenn there alone.
“So, what’s going on? You run out while Maggie’s giving birth to your brother- you haven’t even met him yet, Y/N. Maggie’s really upset.” Glenn frowns, walking closer to you. He tries to put his hand on your shoulder but you step away from him, receiving a hurt look in return.
“I didn’t tell you what happened with my last family.” You state, but it comes out more like a question than anything.
“Your family? Like your birth parents? You told me about them, yeah.” Glenn looks confused. “What is going on? You’re freaking me out.”
“No, not my birth parents.” You shake your head. “I… Back before I found you guys, I was with another group. I had ‘adoptive’ parents there, if you will. Just like you and Mom, she got pregnant. They were so excited for all of us to be a family, and at first, it was so cool. I had a sibling. And then they abandoned me, Dad. They left me.”
“Y/N…” Glenn’s voice trails off. “Why didn’t you tell us this?”
“Because I was afraid.” You admit. “Hell, I’m still afraid. I ran away and distanced myself because I’m terrified of that happening again, Dad. I keep telling myself that it won’t, that you guys love me, but… I’m scared.” A tear falls from your eye.
“Y/N.” Glenn breathes out, wrapping his arms around you. “Those people? They were terrible people. They were dumb and stupid to leave you like that. Maggie and I won’t ever do that. Ever. We love you so much, Y/N. You are our daughter. You’re ours, and we’re not going anywhere. Promise.”
“I’m so sorry.” You cry into his shirt. “I shouldn’t have left like that.”
“Hey hey hey, it’s alright.” Glenn rubs your back, resting his chin on your head. “We’re not going anywhere. We love you- I love you.”
“I love you too, Dad.” You smile. You feel like a huge weight has been lifted off your chest.
“Now, you wanna go meet your little brother?”
-
A huge smile is plastered on your face as you hold your new baby brother, his small body wrapped up in a blanket as he sleeps in your arms. He looks so peaceful, so beautiful- you’ve never loved anyone so instantaneously in your life.
“Glad you’re back.” Maggie kisses your forehead. “I missed you. I wish you woulda been there to see him when he came out. But I’m so happy you’re here.”
“Me too.” You smile. “I love you, mom.”
“Please tell me next time. I was so worried…” Maggie trails off. “Just know that you can talk to me about anything, and Glenn and I aren’t going anywhere. We love you so much.”
“She’s right,” Glenn adds in. “I know I told you that earlier, but it needs to be said again. We love you and we’re never going to abandon you like those assholes did. We’re a family, and family sticks together.”
You wish you could capture this moment, the four of you huddled together on the couch. You in the middle, holding your new baby brother, Maggie and Glenn on both sides of you. It’s a picture perfect moment that captures family perfectly. The love in this room that all of you have for each other is unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, not even with your birth parents. Certainly not with your previous adoptive parents.
Family doesn’t abandon each other- family sticks together.
