Babysitter
Prelude - I do not understand how some people get turned on by spanking, but I still respect that kink. I could never lol I just think back to the days where I got spanked so hard I’d pass out or the wooden spoon would break haha.
Pairing - Bakugou Katsuki X Reader
Prompt - idk I just thought of babysitters being so flipping like “Im in charge here” and stupid and I feel like Bakugou would enjoy babysitting like someone just a few years younger than him cause he’d get such a rush of power.
Warnings - NSFW, abuse of power, noncon, spanking, degradation, slight misogyny. slight masochism?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your mom was overbearing.
Here you were, a full-grown adult, and your mom was yelling her thanks to your “babysitter” as she rushed out the door.
You knew she was a bit protective, a bit hyper-vigilant and akin to a helicopter parent. But it was hard to be mad at her for it, not ever since dad had divorced her. She was terrified of something happening to you, of loosing the last thing in her life that she cared about.
Still, it was hard not to feel a little bubble of irritation in your throat as you watched your “babysitter” wave to her as she climbed in her car. You didn’t need a babysitter, not at your age. And you especially didn’t need the gruff, surly man that had lived in the house across the street as your babysitter. You could take care of yourself, thank you very much.
And how come your mom didn’t trust you by yourself, but somehow trusted this Mr. Grumpypants that you had met a total of zero times. You had seen him once, when your mom’s car had broken down at her job and you had to go pick her up.
You hadn’t minded, rolling up to the curb to see your mother animatedly talking to some blonde man with a stick shoved up his ass, his handsome face grimacing like he just sucked on a lemon dipped in hot sauce. Apparently she worked with him, the younger man a security guard for the complex her office was located in. You watched as his bored red eyes slid from your mother, over to you through the car window, his brow furrowing. The bored look had disappeared, and he regarded you with… curiosity? Contempt? It was hard to tell what emotion was hidden behind his eyes, underlaid so strongly with irritation and anger.
Mom had gushed about him all the way home, telling you details you didn’t really care about. His name was Bakugou Katsuki, he was single, 27, and wouldn’t you know - he lived right across the street!
Well, if she trusted him, you guess you should too. Didn’t mean you had to like it though.
And you didn’t, huffing as Bakugou closed the door and you turned back to your game, mashing buttons and sitting forward as you tried to beat this level.   It was ridiculous, your mom going over to his house a few days prior with a plate of cookies, asking the man if he wouldn’t mind coming and hanging out while she was away on some business trip. She had expressed her worry about leaving you - what if something happened while she was gone for a week? Someone could kidnap you and she wouldn’t even know until she got back!
Even when you politely reminded her that cell-phones existed, she was adamant; you were going to have someone big and strong stay in the house with you. It not only would keep potential burglars and thieves away, but it’d keep you safe, make sure you weren’t doing anything silly like staying up too late or eating too much junk food. It was embarrassing.
Some small part of you wanted to stomp your foot and whine at her, but that wouldn’t help you in trying to convince her that you were an adult. Once your mom convinced herself of something, nothing would be able to change her mind. Even when you pointed out that Bakugou was a strange man, she didn’t budge.
“I see him everyday at work!” She had pointed out. “Plus, he’s a security guard sweetie - his literal job involves keeping people safe.”
Bakugou locked the door, before glancing your way. You felt his eyes on you, but you didn’t feel like acknowledging his presence, by gracing him with conversation or any sort of interaction. The man moved on after a second, walking behind you and into the kitchen. You heard him rustle in the cupboards, the clink of glasses, then the sound of water filling a cup.
Right - your mom had kindly showed him where everything was. She had guided him through each room showed him the guest room which she had made up for his stay, even walking him through the kitchen and showing him the contents of each cupboard.
He came back into the living room with his backpack and cup full of water, settled himself down in one of the armchairs by the couch.  You didn’t spare him a glance as he pulled out his laptop, threw on some glasses, and settled himself in for… well, whatever he was doing. You were just glad that the two of you didn’t have to interact with each other.
You continued playing your game, occasionally getting frustrated enough to mumble under your breath at the TV as your character died yet again. This was going to be a long week.
----
You were taking a gap year after graduating, relaxing before you threw yourself into college and working. Right now, your days were spent playing games, scrolling on your phone and laughing at memes, going to the pool for hours on end, the library, bike rides, hikes… lots of activities that kept your mind and body occupied. But this week? Bakugou threw off every plan you made.
It was the second day, and you had gotten up early to go swim and goof off at the community pool for a few hours. It was fun, you could tan a little, cool off, maybe see some cute boys your age.
When you got out of the water you had two missed texts from Bakugou.
Where are you
Tell me where the fuck you went
Instead of answering, you huffed, wrapping your towel around your waist. It took maybe fifteen minutes to walk home - you’d deal with your overprotective babysitter then.
He met you at the door, throwing it open before you could even touch the handle. His face was drawn tight in a scowl, the blonde crossing his arms as soon as you stepped inside and shut the door behind you.
“Your fucking phone die? Or are you just ignoring me?”
You shook your head, irritated with how big of a deal he was making out of this. You went to the pool all the time, you weren’t going to die. “I was at the pool, chill dude.”
“Oh, I thought you just popped out to go fucking parachuting!” He spat, uncrossing his arms to gesture at your body. “I can see that you went to the pool dipshit. Why didn’t you fucking tell me, huh? You normally run off on your mom without a damn word?”
You stared at him, curious to see if he would burst a blood vessel with how worked up he was getting. He didn’t seem like someone that knew what the word “relax” meant. Bakugou probably slept all angrily, arms crossed, lips pulled into a frown, eyebrows drawn low.
“Fucking hey, earth to idiot!” Fingers snapped in front of your face, and you recoiled, glaring up at the man in front of you. Before you could open your mouth, he huffed, rubbing a hand across his forehead. “Don’t fucking go anywhere unless you run it by me, understand? I don’t need you wandering into a fucking alley and getting stabbed or some shit.”
Snorting, you moved past him, not even bothering to answer. He was an asshole. Despite what your mother thought, you weren’t a child. You knew how to take care of yourself, you didn’t need some grumpy old guy bossing you around.  Said man was grinding his teeth as he watched you walk away, headed for your room. It probably annoyed the life out of him that you hadn’t answered, but he didn’t say anything.
When you finished grabbing clothes for your shower, you came out of your room to see Bakugou leaning against the wall.
“So you’re being a little spoiled princess, not even talking to me? That’s rich. You know I’m gonna be here for the next fucking week - you better make peace with that.”
“Dude, I don’t know what you want. I’m fine, I do this all the time. Just leave me be, and I’ll do the same for you.”
Bakugou grumbled something under his breath, but your skin was getting dry and tight from chlorine, so you ignored him as you slipped into the bathroom, locking the door behind you. You could hear his feet stomping away, and almost giggled at the sound. It almost seemed like he was the petulant child that needed a babysitter.
It didn’t take you long to rinse off, get all the chlorine and salt off your skin. Drying off, you quickly realized you forgot a bra when you had grabbed clothes - which was fine, you would just wrap up in your towel and waddle back to your room. Plus, the bathroom was directly opposite your room, and Bakugou wasn’t nearby, you could hear dishes rattling in the kitchen, so that wouldn’t be a problem.
And it wasn’t, not until you were in your room, door closed, towel on the floor as you rifled through your dresser drawers for the bra you really liked.
“Hey princess, do you want-“
You only heard him as he opened the door, and by that time you were scrambling to snatch your towel up around your naked body. Bakugou choked on his words, face turning a flaming red before he slammed the door shut, giving you your privacy.
Heart racing, you sat down on the floor, too embarrassed for words. That was awkward.
“Why the fuck would you grab clothes, only to come back and change in your room!??!” Bakugou yelled from the other side of the door, a decidedly angry “thump” from where he banged his fist against the door.
“I forgot something, geez! Why didn’t you bother knocking?!?” You yelled back, your own face heating up.
“Holy fucking shit, just get some fucking clothes on, asshole. I’m makin’ pancakes and shit.”
Breakfast was an awkward affair, your gaze focused firmly on the perfectly cooked food on your plate. Bakugou was glaring at you between bites, obviously fuming. He was probably just as embarrassed as you were, but at least he wasn’t trying to make small talk.
----
Bakugou doesn’t appreciate how much time you spend playing video games, and it’s only the third day. He’s grumbled about it several times already, but you aren’t hurting anybody, and there’s nothing else for you to do, so.
It seems like the only thing Bakugou is willing to do is sit nearby, glare at you condescendingly, and mutter under his breath about how you spend your time. When you decided to run to the store to get groceries (there was a surplus of food in the house - you just wanted some air and time away from your “babysitter”) Bakugou had suddenly appeared, moving in front of the door and sneering.
“Are you trying to fuckin’ sneak off again? I won’t let that shit slide twice.”
You huffed, shrugging on your jacket. “Bakugou, I was going to the store. Contrary to what you think, I’m not eight years old, and I can take care of myself. My mom’s just a helicopter parent. You don’t even need to be here, honestly.”
The man scoffed, his face souring. “You’re literally a fucking child. Didn’t you just graduate highschool?”
Stepping closer to him, you squared your shoulders, eyebrows furrowing as you looked up at the blond. “Call me a child all you want - doesn’t change the fact I’m old enough to do stuff by myself. Now-“ you gestured to his body “-please move.”
“No.”
You crossed your arms over your chest. “And why not? You can’t just lock me in the house until my mom comes back.”
Bakugou’s head cocked, red eyes burrowing into your head. He grinned. “Why the fuck not? I’m in charge here, I get to make the damn rules. I say your ass stays here, and it’s going to.”
Clenching your jaw, you huffed, spinning on your heel. You weren’t going to be able to talk the bull-headed man into leaving you to your own devices. There was nothing left to do except shuck off your shoes, admitting defeat. It was so irritating - you didn’t need anyone looking after you, you were an adult! You were more than capable of handling yourself! Why didn’t your mom trust you? Did she think that you were too stupid to keep yourself alive and safe?
You left Bakugou at the door, grabbing a soda from the kitchen before flopping onto the couch in front of TV.
Sure, you could read a book, do a puzzle, browse social media. But right now, you were feeling particularly angry, violent. You wanted to achieve something, finish quests, accomplish tasks. So video games it was.
Of course, that meant Bakugou sauntering back into the living room, groaning as he saw you back in front of the TV. But if he wasn’t going to let you go out, then this is what you were going to spend your time doing. If he wanted to treat you like a child, then you were going to act like one. Show him how much of a brat you really could be.
You turn on your console, select the game you’re going to be playing for the next few hours, and settle further into the couch, making yourself comfortable.  Reaching down to the coffee table, you’re about to grab the soda you had brought in earlier, but Bakugou beat you to it.
“Hey!” You whined, watching the blond pop the tab, take a long, slow drag of the carbonated drink. He smacked his lips and cocked his head, smirking down at you.
“You shouldn’t drink this sorta shit, ’s bad for you.”
“Why are you drinking it then?!!?”
Bakugou shrugged. “‘Cause I’m in charge here. I get to do whatever I fuckin’ want.”
Huffing, you gave up the argument, starting to push yourself off the couch. Bakugou was one of those people that got off on power trips, liked being the one to call the shots. The best course of action here would be to just ignore him and grab another soda.
“And where the fuck do you think you’re going? I didn’t say you could move.” The blond man was standing in front of you, making it impossible for you to stand. He was so irritating - you couldn’t wait for this week to be over.
“I’m going to get something to drink, since you decided to help yourself to my soda.”
He moved out of your way, clicking his tongue before flopping down into the armchair by the couch. You glared at him for as long as you could, until the kitchen wall hid his face from view. Ugh, he was such a jerk. At first he had seemed somewhat decent, but as he got more comfortable around you, the man was turning into a self-absorbed tyrant.
Whatever, you were only going to have a stupid “babysitter” for a few more days.
----
“Get off the damn game! Don’t make me haul your ass off that couch.”
Bakugou threatened. He wasn’t very intimidating, standing there vigorously brushing his teeth like there was something wrong with them. The blond had already asked you two other times, and you had ignored him on both occasions. You were so close to leveling up, just a few more points.
If Bakugou wanted to go to bed when the sun was still up, he was more than welcome to do so. You however, had better things to do with your time.
You saw him stomp away out of the corner of your eye, apparently giving up on trying to tell you what to do in your own house. Good.
If anything, Bakugou should be grateful that all you were interested was playing video games and going to the pool. You could be out getting in trouble, doing drugs, rebelling against the system or something - but you were here, chilling and causing zero trouble.
The sink in the bathroom ran, then clattering could be heard as Bakugou finished up his bedtime routine, putting his toothbrush away, washing his hands, yada yada.
He appeared back in the living room, arms crossed. His muscles bulged out like that, showcased by the sleeveless black tank top he was wearing. But you weren’t intimidated, it’s not like he was going to hit you or something.
“Alright, last chance. Turn the fucking game off, it’s your majesty’s bedtime now.” He sneered.
You ignored him.
“You seriously wanna do this princess?”
You stayed silent. Just a few more kills….
“Alright, you fuckin’ asked for it.”
The TV turned off, Bakugou yanking the cords out behind it.
“Dude, what the hell! I was so close to leveling up!!” You screeched, sitting up straight. Bakugou’s face was screwed into an angry frown, and he advanced towards you, walking with purpose. You were fuming, rising to your feet so you could get in his face, tell him off. He was acting like he was your dad or something, and he most definitely was not.
When the man got within an arm length of you, you immediately jabbed a finger into his chest, mouth opening to spit nasty words. Those words died when your hand was slapped harshly away, Bakugou still walking forward until he was crowding into your space. You tried to shrink back, but a rough hand latched onto the back of your neck, holding you still as Bakugou closed in on you, bringing your foreheads together.
“You are such a spoiled little princess. Think you can get away with shit, yeah? Never had a man in your life to put you in your goddamn place, that’s why, isn’t it?”
You blanched, still trying to lean backwards, away from his overwhelming presence. It was kind of scary, how he was all up in your face, how his fingers gripped the back of your neck so tightly, how his face was so close to yours that you could feel his warm, minty breath.
“Bakugou, ple-“
“Nah, shut the fuck up. We’re past any point where you could’ve begged for forgiveness. I am so sick and tired of your bratty little attitude. You keep testing my patience, being a little shit, acting like you own the damn place. You’re gonna show me you’re fuckin’ sorry princess.”
A hand wrapped around your waist, another on your thigh, hefting you up with brute strength and slinging you over his shoulder in the blink of an eye. The swift movement made your head spin for a second, but you quickly adjusted.
“Woah, what the hell man? Put me down!” Bakugou ignored you, spinning on his heel and marching towards the guest bedroom. “Dude, put me down right now, this isn’t funny anymore. C’mon, put me down, I get it. You’re in charge, and I gotta listen. You can let me down now. Please?”
Your pleading went unheard, even as it got more and more desperate the closer to the guest bedroom he walked. When you passed through the doorway, you kicked at the mans stomach, tried to hit his back - you had a faint idea of where this was going, and it was nowhere good.
Without ceremony, you were thrown on the bed, the air getting knocked out of you with the impact, your head bouncing a few times on the mattress.  Bakugou turned, shutting and locking the door before he was back in front of you again, a vicious look on his face.
You scrambled backwards on the bed, holding out one hand as if to ward him off. “Okay, dude, wait, you don’t want to do this. Please don’t do this, you’re a good guy-“
“Shit, do you ever stop running your mouth? Calm the fuck down princess, I’m just gonna spank you ’till you cry, then we’ll be even.”
The idea was humiliating, embarrassing, degrading. But it was better than what you thought was about to happen. Bakugou grabbed your ankle, pulling you back towards him with a quick yank, sitting down beside you on the bed. The man patted his lap expectantly, before getting impatient with your hesitance and grabbing your hair, pulling you across his lap with a pained shriek from you.
“Now, here’s how this is gonna fucking go. You’re gonna sit there and take it, and you’ll be done once I say so. Now shut up.”
Without further ceremony, a broad hand slapped your ass, your shorts providing only the thinnest of barriers. You weren’t ready for the hit, so you lurched forward across the mans lap with a small cry. Another smack landed, and while you still weren’t ready, the sting wasn’t as jarring as the first slap.
SMACK
SMACK
SMACK SMACK SMACK
You tried to not whine, or cry, or make any noise, but it was hard. His hand was coming down with more force on each strike, and it /hurt/.  You could feel your skin throbbing underneath your shorts, red and tender, and you were ready to be done.
Bakugou however, was not.
He kept going,
SMACK
Each hit harder than the last.
SMACK
You wanted to cry, trying to hold it in, just endure through the mortification of being spanked like a child.
SMACK
SMACK
SMACK
You couldn’t take it anymore, bursting into tears, skin burning, blubbering for Bakugou to stop, please.
The spanking stopped.
The two of you sat there, you sobbing, Bakugou rubbing the skin of your ass over your shorts. Somehow, that hurt just as much as the spanking did, so you reached a hand back blindly, trying to catch his wrist and push him away. As soon as you grabbed his wrist, Bakugou delivered another savage slap to your behind, making you immediately apologize and drop your hands, let him pet and stroke your ass at his leisure.  It hurt.
You don’t know how long you both stayed there, Bakugou further irritating the burning, raw skin of your butt, you sniffling and calming down from the full-bodied sobs that had wracked your form earlier.  It had been long enough that you barely flinched when Bakugou tentatively fingered the waistband of your shorts, twisting up the fabric, as if he were hesitant to go further, but obviously considering it. You didn’t flinched when a decision was seemingly made, and a hand started slowly pulling your shorts down.
You flinched when the fabric slid over a particularly sore welt on your ass.
“What are you doing??” You panicked, trying to rise up, move away. A hand between your shoulder blades held you down, Bakugou’s gruff voice telling you to stay still.
“I just wanna see how it looks, fuckin’ chill out princess.”
It’s not like you could argue, so off slid your shorts. You tried to protest again when you felt fingers hooking into the waistband of your panties, but another swift slap to your rear had you keening in pain, quickly falling silent. You could let him assess the damage, but that was it. If he tried to touch you further, you’d bite a chunk of his skin off, go find your phone and call the police.
With your lower half bared to the room, you squirmed uncomfortably, immediately stilling when Bakugou’s hand smoothed over the abused skin of your ass. He seemed fascinated by the damage he had caused, and you were sure that there were welts, maybe even bruises already forming. Your skin burned, and not in a pleasant way. God, it was painful.
There was so much pain, your skin somehow felt numb and on fire at the same time. You almost didn’t notice Bakugou’s hand dropping to your thigh, slowly beginning to wiggle it’s way upward, headed towards the little pink slit nestled between your legs.
When his hand made contact with your pussy, you flipped out.
Almost literally - you rocketed off the man’s lap so fast that you almost flipped over onto the ground, just barely catching yourself at the last second.
And then you were standing in front of the man, lower half completely bared, him staring at the space between your thighs, before slowly dragging his eyes upward to find your own.
You turned tail and ran for the door.
A problem with your aforementioned plan of calling the police, was forgetting that Bakugou was a security guard. His job was literally chasing people down, subduing them.
He had you pinned to the door in a matter of seconds, chuckling in your ear.
“Damn, I really was just only gonna spank your ass raw. You look goddamn delicious though, and it seems like you just haven’t learned your fucking lesson.”
You were hauled backward, a hand pulling your hair, the other wrapped around your waist. For the second time that day, you were tossed onto the bed, but this time you barely stayed for a second, already trying to scramble off the other side.  But Bakugou was faster, his hand around your calf and dragging you back to him with an iron grip.
A scream tore out of your throat, and you kicked at the man with all your strength as you got closer, catching him square in the jaw. His head snapped back, but his grip never loosened, keeping you stationary while you tried to wiggle away.
His other hand came up to massage his jaw while he slowly rolled his head down to fix you with the most intense, hungry look you’d ever seen a human wear.
“Ohhh, shit. You don’t even know what you just did, do you princess?”
You gasped at his breathy laugh, the way his eyes seemed to light up. Within a second, he was on top of you, face inches away from your own. You could feel his dick, hard against your thigh.
“Wait, you don’t have to do this-think of the consequences! Please, I won’t tell anyone, just let me go, right now. You don’t want to do this Bakugou, please, it’s not gonna be good for either of us-“
He ignored your reasoning, instead focusing on ripping off your shirt, doing the same to your bra. You tried to stop him, hitting and punching, trying to sink your nails into his back, claw at his eyes. You even resorted to snapping your teeth at his nose when his face got too close, turning your head to sink your teeth into his forearm.
Bakugou just groaned throatily, his eyes fluttering shut. Immediately, you let go, not expecting that response. That was supposed to hurt, why wasn’t he yelling in pain? The man lifted his forearm, watching blood start to drip from where your blunt teeth had punctured his skin. He was breathing heavily, straddling your legs, hunched over you like a dog.
The next seconds were a blur, clothes coming off, his hands manhandling you onto your side, his deranged laughter and low, excited swearing filling your ears.
You found yourself on your side, Bakugou straddling one thigh, holding the other up with his arm. He was lining himself up with your opening, rough hand guiding his dick to nudge against your entrance. You screamed.
“Stop it! Stop it, please! You can’t do this! Oh god, stop, stop, stop, don’t-“
“I can do whatever the hell I want, princess.” The man spat, seemingly unaffected by the way you thrashed your body. You tried kicking the leg under him, but his weight anchored it firmly to the bed. You tried kicking the leg he was holding in the arm, but his tight grip just became painful, squeezing you into place. You tried to sit up, to reach out and grab him by the neck and squeeze, but the position you were in was impossible. He knew what he was doing.
You screamed again, a sound of pained, fearful anger crawling out of your throat. Bakugou just laughed.
“This wouldn’t be happening if you had just been good and listened to me. We could’ve gotten along.” He gathered the spit in his mouth, before crudely spitting onto his fingers. “I would’ve left you alone for now, I mean, I’m not a bad guy. “ Bakugou slapped his spit-slicked fingers down over your pussy, smearing his saliva along your folds, messily rubbing it in.
“I’m an upstanding citizen, I keep little crooks and stupid brats from running things their way, that’s all I’m doing.”
You yelled as a finger entered you, probing at your walls. “That hurts! Take it out, take it out! You’re disgusting, get off of me! Stop-!”
Bakugou kept talking, pointedly ignoring your panicked whining.
“Yeah, I’ve seen you before, and you’ve got a nice little body. But it’s not like I was just gonna up and hold you down. Good thing you’ve been giving me reasons all week though, being an absolute spoiled-ass princess, you’re so fucking annoying.”
Another finger joined the first, roughly jamming into your cunt, your juices beginning to flow and smooth the way. It was so stupid that your body was responding to this.
“I woulda never touched you, no matter how much I fucking wanted to, if you had just been good. I guess it works for me that you’ve been shit, huh?”
The man laughed again, leaning down towards your face to smile at you in a jeer, adding another finger to your aching pussy. The stretch hurt, it was too soon, but it felt good nonetheless. It’d been a while since you’d last messed around with someone.
When his fingers retracted, you gasped, face quickly blushing red. Another glob of spit was ejected onto Bakugou’s hand, and he quickly slicked up his cock with his own saliva, hissing as he first touched it.
As he lined himself up, you tried begging one more time. “Bakugou, Bakugou, please. Please don’t, you don’t want to do this. You can’t! Just let me up, please? Oh god, please, just let me go, I won’t tell anyone.”
He shoved the entirety of his cock inside with one, jarring thrust.
You screamed, voice cracking in the middle. The stinging pain of your ass was forgotten in the face of the jabbing, spiky pain in your lower abdomen. Bakugou hissed, eyes closed in bliss.
“God, you’re fuckin’ tight. You a virgin?”
Tears in your eyes from the unexpected pain of being filled so suddenly, you shook your head no. Bakugou clicked his tongue.
“Ah, I kinda figured. Slut like you probably can’t go a few days without a cock stuffing your cunt.” A thought seemed to cross his mind, and Bakugou’s eyes opened, peering down at you inquisitively, a slight twinkle in his eye.
“Is that why you’ve been such a demanding little princess?” You shook your head no vehemently, the pain slowly fading the longer Bakugou remained still inside you. “Holy fuck, that’s why you’ve been like this all week! You just needed a cock!” The man laughed before reaching a hand down to pat your face condescendingly. “Don’t you worry princess,  I’ll give you what you need.”
No further words were spoken, despite how much you wanted to scream and yell and curse at the man above you. He immediately drew his cock back, before thrusting into you again, quickly finding a mind-numbing pace that didn’t allow you any time to think.
His thrusts were smooth, steady, fast - it was hard, no, impossible to stop yourself from moaning at how good everything was starting to feel, despite how much you didn’t want it to. It was even worse when Bakugou’s hand found it’s way to your clit, beginning to furiously rub the little button as he fucked you stupid.
“Yeah, you fuckin’ like that?”
You ignored him completely, turning your face against the covers of the guest bed. Bakugou just huffed, increasing his pace ever so slightly.
It wasn’t long before you were gasping, moaning on every other breath, trying to hold yourself back from begging the man to let you cum. You writhed underneath him, trying to arch your hips back to meet every one of his thrusts, ride the hand that was rubbing at your clit so nicely.
Your orgasm hit you out of nowhere.
It fizzed in your stomach, pleasure racing through you so quickly that you lost your breath, muscles locking up. It felt so good, you couldn’t breath, couldn’t move. Bakugou fucked you through it, smirking down as you obviously rode out your orgasm, his finger falling away from your clit before you could get overstimulated.
A few more thrusts, and Bakugou pulled out, quickly moving to straddle your chest as he quickly jerked himself off. His hand made the most lewd sound, squelching up and down his length that was drenched in your juices.
You were so blissed out from your orgasm, you almost didn’t mind when cum started splattering over your face.
You did mind, however, when Bakugou tried to rub it into your skin after he finished.  A quick snap of your jaws towards his fingers made your point clear, and Bakugou backed off.
“We have plenty of time to work on you, seems like you still need to be put in your place by the man of the house. Spoiled little princess.”
——
When your mom got home, you barely kept yourself from sobbing in her arms as she hugged you. You wanted to tell her everything that had happened, what Bakugou had done to you - but that would just make her more paranoid, fearful.
She would lock you in the house and never let you leave. Plus it was embarrassing. “Hey mom, by the way, the babysitter you hired for me, your adult child, raped me after spanking me so hard I bruised, and I couldn’t stop him!” Wasn’t a sentence you wanted to utter. You were weak, and stupid.
Bakugou watched in the background, his backpack slung over his shoulder, ready to head across the street and back to his own house. Your mom kissed your hair, finally disentangling herself from your arms, moving to talk to the gruff blond. You stayed by the door, watching Bakugou with narrow eyes.
“We were fine - although, you were right in having someone come over. She’s irresponsible as hell, I don’t know what could’ve happened if I wasn’t here to stop her from doing stupid shit.”
Your mom threw you a disapproving glance, quickly turning to thank Bakugou for helping the two of you out. She pressed money into his hand, but he told her not to worry about it - he got to eat good food, sleep in a nice bed, and the wifi was better here than at his house. Your mom gave him a quick hug, and you watched his face sour, before he quickly moved away from her grasp.
“Just let me know if you ever need me to come hangout with her again - I think it’s good for her to have a strong male figure in her life. And my wifi sucks, so it’s a win-win for everyone.”
Except you.
Your mom clapped her hands together excitedly. “Oh, that’d be perfect! What a nice young man you are, I knew you were trustworthy.”
Your stomach soured.
Bakugou said his goodbyes, obviously trying to get out of the house and away from your touchy mother as quickly as possible. Your mother thanked him again, welcoming him over “at any time!” To use the faster wifi, as long as he wouldn’t mind hanging out with you.
Bakugou gave a gruff laugh, brushing past you on his way out the door. He turned, looking at your mother, then at you.
“I’ll be here to help out, don’t you worry princess.”
You slammed the door in his face.
He was never stepping foot in your house again, not if you could help it.

“Stop being so fucking clingy!”, he shouted.
“Clingy? You think I’m clingy? News flash Jeno, I don’t have anyone except you. I’m sorry If I’m being clingy, but I can’t call someone to hang out because there’s no one!”, you yelled back.
“Oh come on, don’t act like you’re the victim here. Everything’s your fault! Did I ask you to get pregnant?! I’ve almost lost everything! Everything! I almost lost my job, my fans. My fucking perfect life. I lost my fucking opportunity to make a solo album! You fucking destroyed my career!”, Jeno looked at you furiously, he closed his eyes as he tried to calm down, but it didn’t help. Jeno felt this way for a long time now and finally, he exploded.
Jeno never talked to you like that. You’ve been together for almost three years now and he was always sweet and he never, not even once, yelled at you. His outburst right now really scared and hurt you. You started to doubt your decision to keep your baby and stay with Jeno. Did you really destroy his life like that?
“I’m.. sorry.”, you really were. You were sorry that you took everything from him, his life, his fans, just his whole career. “Yeah, sorry doesn’t fix this.”, he snapped and turned around, he was about to leave but your son, who was barely one year old, started crying and yelling as he heard his father shouting at you. “Here we go again! Why the fuck is he crying again?! My head’s going to explode that baby just never stops crying!”, you had enough. He can yell at you as much as he wants, but he can’t talk to your baby like that.
“’That baby’ is your son and If you can’t bear his crying then leave! He wouldn’t be crying If you weren’t an asshole who just yells and yells, so just leave!”, you picked up your son from his crib and patted his back to calm him down.
“You know what? Fuck you!”, Jeno shouted at you one last time before he left you alone with your baby in the living room of the apartment you shared. Jeno went back to the dorm, back to his members. He couldn’t stay with you any minute longer.
When you found out that you were pregnant, you were scared and you knew that everything would change, you could lose Jeno, or you could lose the little life in your belly.
Jeno promised to stay with you forever- through thick and thin. He’d be by your side no matter what, he didn’t care about the company or about his family. It was just about you, him, and your baby.
Jeno stayed with you and he even asked you to marry him, and you did. Just you, your baby, and his members, because you had no one else, but it was enough for you. You didn’t need anybody else.
Your parents kicked you out, they looked at you like you were a disease when you told them that you were pregnant with Jeno’s child. You were just 22 and having a child before marriage was a big no go for your family, you were a disgrace for them. They never wanted to see you again, and you had no siblings who could help you go through this fight with your parents. You were all alone now, and that was alright because you had Jeno, the love of your life, the father of your child.
When Jeno told the company that you were pregnant, they told him to stop promoting with NCT and focus on you and your baby. At first, that was alright for him, he was happy that they didn’t kick him out or anything like that. He would spent his time with you and in the first months of your pregnancy, they allowed him to work on his solo album, and it was perfect, until they told him to stop working completely until the baby was born. Fans lost interest in Jeno and they hated on you, they were really cruel and Jeno tried his best to cheer you up but you could see the sadness in his eyes, not only because you were getting hate, but because he couldn’t do what he loved the most. He had to stop being an Idol for quite a long time. After your baby was born, you asked him to stay a little longer with you before he could focus on being an Idol again. You were scared, it was your first-time taking care of someone who wasn’t you, a tiny little baby who looked so fragile in your hands and it scared you. You were scared of being a mother, scared of making mistakes and scared of losing Jeno.
He always assured you that it was alright, that he would give up everything just to be with you, you believed him, until he started to act weird. He’d ignore you and he was just grumpy, but you started to fight more frequently and now he let out all of his anger and left you alone.
You were an overthinker and right now you were devastated, your heart hurt, and you hated and blamed yourself. Did you really destroy Jeno’s life like that? You thought about it, all night long, because Jeno was still gone.
As soon as Jeno left your apartment, he felt a knife stabbing his heart. Jeno drove as fast as he could to the dorms, he needed to talk someone. Someone who wasn’t you or a little baby.
When Jeno arrived, he knocked on the door and it was Mark who opened the door. “Hyung what are you doing here?”, Jeno asked him. “I just wanted to visit the others. What are you doing here? Where’s (Y/N)? And little Minho? I missed- Jeno are you alright?”, before Mark could finish his sentence, Jeno broke out in tears. “H-Hyung…”, he covered his face with his hands and cried.
Mark pulled him gently inside and looked at him with concern in his eyes. “Hey what’s wrong? D-did something happen to them?”
“No, it’s just- I fucked up.”, he was ashamed of himself. He couldn’t even face Mark. “I really f-fucked up.”
“Hey, calm down. Drink some water.”, Mark guided Jeno to the kitchen and gave him a bottle of water. The bottle was empty in 3 seconds and Jeno tried to breath calmly.
“Now tell me what happened.”, Mark sat down next to Jeno, Jisung and Chenle were out and Renjun was at wayv’s dorm. It was only Jaemin and Mark there. “Yo Jeno Lee what are you doing here?”, Jaemin entered the kitchen and greeted his friend. “Why is everyone asking me that? Am I not allowed to visit?”, he asked annoyed.
“You can but you have to bring Minho with you. Oh yeah, and (Y/n) of course.”, he sat down next to Mark and Jeno and looked at Jeno’s red eyes. “Wait, did you cry?”
“I- “, Jeno didn’t know how to explain the whole situation. “You?”, Jaemin said. “I said some things to (Y/N).”, he whispered. “Things like?”, Mark slowly asked. “I told her that she’s being… clingy and that she, uhm, that she destroyed my life- something like that.”, he mumbled as he looked down to his hands in embarrassment.
“You did what?”, Jaemin asked in disbelief. “I told her that she’s clingy and that she destroyed my career and that I almost lost everything because of her. And then Minho started crying and I yelled and then she told me to leave. I said fuck you and left.”, the tears were falling down his cheeks again. Realizing how harsh and cruel he was broke his heart. The words that left his mouth, they were horrible, and you didn’t deserve them.
“Wow, that’s- wow.”, Mark never thought that Jeno was able to get angry at you, let alone say such things. “Did you mean it?”, Jaemin murmured. “No! No I don’t know why I said that- I just said it and I was so angry, and I just wanted to hurt her.”, Jeno loved you so much, even If he didn’t mean it, he hurt you and he didn’t know what to do now. “She told me that she has no one and I know that it’s true, but I felt like I couldn’t breathe anymore.”
“Look, you are here- talking to us whereas she’s at home with a little baby, all alone. We can’t really tell you what to do because we don’t know what’s going on in that head of yours, but I can tell you that you should be with her and not us. We know how much you love each other, you shouldn’t run away after a fight like that. You hurt her and I don’t think it’s going to be easy to make her forgive you, I’m telling you this as your leader, but as your hyung I’m telling you that we are always here for you.”, Mark explained Jeno what he thought about the whole situation and Jeno knew that he was right. “Y-You’re right. She’s always alone and I have you guys and my parents, of course she wants to be with me all the time- fuck I’m so stupid.”, Jeno admitted.
“Yeah you are.”, Jaemin agreed.
It was past midnight and Minho was fast asleep, the baby monitor showed you every move he made, and you tried to sleep, but you couldn’t fall asleep- the events of the night still haunting you. It’s been hours since Jeno left and you didn’t stop crying. You were doubting yourself and your relationship and you had no one to talk to. A little baby couldn’t help you, you were all alone. The voice in your head told you to disappear, to leave Jeno so he can be happy and life his Idol life to the fullest. It hurt, to think that he didn’t want you or your child.
You heard the front door open and close as you turned your back to face the wall. You tried to keep your tears to yourself, tried to stop whimpering, but your head hurt from all the crying.
Jeno slowly opened the door to Minho’s room, quietly checking on his sleeping son. He closed the door again and entered your bedroom. The room was dark, he switched on the lamp on his nightstand. Jeno knew you were awake, you couldn’t fall asleep without him next to you, which annoyed him before but after your fight, he hoped that you’d be awake and waited for him.
Jeno reached for your exposed shoulder, the rest of your body was under the blanket, but you slightly flinched away. “Don’t touch me.”
It hurt Jeno, but he had no right to be hurt. After all the things he told you, after leaving you alone and after being an asshole, he didn’t deserve to touch you.
“C-Can we talk?”, he stuttered.
“Aren’t you done telling me how annoying I am?”, you were so angry after he tried to touch you as if nothing happened. “Don’t say that. You are not annoying.”
You didn’t say anything. He let out the breath he was holding and talked again. “I love you. You are the best thing that happened to me. You and Minho, you are my family and everything I need in life. I don’t care about the other things. I don’t need a solo album or fans- You were always my biggest fan and that is enough for me.”, how could you believe him now? After all the other things he had told you?
“I don’t believe any of your words right now. You don’t have to explain yourself. I got it.”, you were still facing the wall.
“Babe, please. What I said earlier, I was just angry at myself and I let it out on you, and I know you didn’t deserve it, you don’t deserve being treated like that, and I’m sorry. You have to believe me…”, he couldn’t stop his tears from falling, so he just let them drop on your blanket.
“I want to sleep. Turn off the light.”, you ignored his words and closed your eyes. Even with Jeno on your side, you knew you wouldn’t sleep tonight.
“I love you.”, Jeno whispered. He changed his clothes, turned off the light and got under the blanket, you were right next to him, but it felt like you were far, far away. It’s hard to reach you after what he had done to you, but Jeno would do anything to make you believe him again.
It took you so long to actually fall asleep, that you slept almost until 1 pm. You woke up slowly but as soon as you realized that it was that late, you jumped up. You had to feed Minho, you had to change his diapers, you had to- when you entered Minho’s room you saw Jeno changing his diapers. You watched him as he talked to your son.
“I love you so much, you know that right? You may be a little tiny, cute baby, but you can see that I love you more than anything, and that I love your mother. She’s perfect. You have her genes. Your way too perfect to be like me. Well, except your eyes. You have my eyes. But it suits you better than me. I look stupid, you look cute.”, Jeno talked and he didn’t notice you watching him. “We have to be really quiet. Mommy is still sleep- “, before Jeno could finish his sentence, Minho saw you and laughed happily. He tried to reach for you and Jeno turned around to see you. “Oh you are awake already.”
You didn’t answer him, you just took Minho and left the room. Jeno trailing after you like a lost puppy. “Are you hungry? I can make you waffles If you want to? Or anything else?”
“Did Minho eat?”, you asked blankly.
“Yes. I can make pancakes If you- “
“Jeno why are you home?”, you kissed Minho’s chubby cheeks after you asked him that. “W-What do you mean?”, he was scared of the answer. When you told him to leave yesterday, you didn’t mean forever, right?
“Don’t you have any practice or, I don’t know, concert or radio show or just anything to do?”, you spoke coldly.
“N-No not today, I have no schedule for today, I thought maybe, I don’t know, we could go to the park or- “, you looked up at lifted your hand to stop him from talking. “Let me stop you right there, I don’t know If you lost you memory or anything, but I don’t want you around. I want to be alone.”
It was the first time you told him to leave you, well, the second time, but this time it was different. You were still hurt and angry, the wound is still fresh, nothing healed over night and the way he acted to you, it boiled your anger even more. “I don’t want any pancakes or quality time with you. I don’t want to act like a happy family when you are clearly forcing yourself. I get it, go and do music or dance, just don’t act like yesterday didn’t happen.”, your voice was still calm, you didn’t want to scare Minho. But the calm way you talked, scared Jeno. There was no emotion on your face, just pain in your eyes. You put Minho to the crib in the living room.
“Please, what can I do for you to forgive me? Do you want me to go down on my knees?”, he kneeled down and looked you in the eyes. “I’m begging you, please forgive me.”
“Jeno stop it.”
“Do you want me to stop being an Idol? I’ll do it. I’ll leave NCT If you want me to.”
“Jeno! You are doing it again. Our relationship has nothing to do with your job. I don’t want you to choose between your family and your work. I want you to talk to me, to tell me If something is bugging you. I want you to be happy because your happiness is my happiness, you are everything I have. But If you don’t want me, tell me, and don’t let me suffer here. If you stopped loving me, tell me! Tell me to leave and never come back If you aren’t happy anymore.”, you started crying again, you don’t want to fight for Jeno’s love anymore. You are not strong enough to go through pain every day because he stopped loving you.
“No don’t think that, please.”, Jeno got up and held your head between his hands. “You are my world. I don’t need anything. I just need you and Minho. I could never stop loving you. I don’t want you to think that, please, don’t ever think again that I stopped loving you.”, with his thumb, he brushed the tears away, which were falling down your cheeks. You were crying and he was, too.
After that, you could see Jeno trying, but you couldn’t forget his words that easily. It’s been two weeks since your big fight and your heart still hurt. Jeno tried everything to make you forgive him, but every time you looked at him, you could hear his voice in your head, telling you that you were annoying and that you destroyed everything he worked hard for.
“Baby, please. It’s been two weeks. Are you never going to forgive me? Please tell me, what do you want me to do? I’d do anything for you.”, Jeno turned in bed to you, but he only see your back. You always slept with your back to him, you avoided his presence as much as you could.
“Let’s not talk about that, I’m tired.”
“You are perfect. I don’t deserve you, but it hurts so much that you’re avoiding me. Please just look at me.”, he begged you, his voice almost breaking.
You turned around and looked at him. You missed him so much, but you felt like a big burden. Maybe you should stop acting like that and forgive him. He’s preparing for a new comeback, he needs you.
“All I can think about is you. Whatever I’m doing, It’s always you. I can’t focus on practice because I just want to leave and come home to you.”, he slowly cupped your cheek with one hand. You let him because you missed him so much.
Jeno slowly caressed your skin with his thumb and looked you deep in the eyes.
“Can I kiss you?”, you’ve been together for so many years and he didn’t even ask you the first time he had kissed you, years ago, but now he did. He was scared you’d push him away, but you didn’t.
You slowly nodded and he leaned in and placed his lips on yours. God, how much you missed Jeno and his lips. The kiss was slow, and you could feel how much he longed for you. How much he missed you.
You could taste his salty tears on your lips as he deepened the kiss. Jeno gently pulled away as he looked at you. “I love- “, before he could finish, Minho started crying and interrupted you two. “You can go to sleep, I’ll go check on him.”, Jeno pecked your lips.
The next day, you woke up without Jeno by your side. It’s a Sunday, Jeno was always home on Sunday’s. You got up and checked out the whole apartment for your baby and husband, but none of them were there.
Not even a single note was left. You called him, but he didn’t answer the call. You got a little worried, but not even a minute later, you got a text from him.
From: my love
I’m in the park with Minho, I thought you should rest a little. I love you.
That’s what Jeno told you, but actually he was somewhere else.
Jeno visited your parents, he was determined, to safe your relationship with your parents. He was angry, angry that they treated you like that. He didn’t care If they hated him, but hating you, his own wife, and their only child. Jeno couldn’t let that pass.
Now he was standing in front of their house, with Minho in his arms.
“You’re going to meet your grandparents now.”, he kissed Minho’s forehead, his tiny son was looking at him and not getting anything his dad was saying.
He rang the ball, and it was your mother who opened the door. “How can I help y- “, her voice broke as soon as she recognized Jeno standing there with Minho in his arms.
Her eyes got teary and her mind created the worst scenarios in her head. “J-Jeno? Did- Did something happen to her?”, she was so scared to hear his next words.
“So you do care about your daughter?”, he asked.
“Of course I care about my daughter. Please tell me that nothing happened to her.”, she whispered the last words.
“(Y/n) is fine. Well, as fine as you can be without your parents. I am here because I need to stop this, whatever this is. My wife didn’t deserve the way you treated her.”, Jeno said.
“Honey who is- What is he doing here?!”, your fathers voice raised as he saw Jeno standing there. But as he saw Minho in his hands, his eyes widened.
“This is your grandson. Minho. He’s the best thing that ever happened to me and (Y/n). We love him so much and it was the best decision to keep him. It wasn’t even a decision, there was never another option. Your daughter is still heartbroken because her parents kicked her out. Why? Because of a miracle named Minho. I want you to stop treating your daughter, my whole family, like something bad. She’s your only daughter and this is your only grandson. You can hate me as much as you want, but don’t hate your daughter and your grandson.”
Your mother wasn’t the only one crying. Your father started also crying, Jeno’s words hitting the spot in his heart that was empty, because his daughter wasn’t there anymore and that was his fault. You never did anything wrong, your parents’ decision to kick you out, slowly teared both of them apart. They missed you so much, they couldn’t imagine the pain you lived through. Your pregnancy without them by your side. You had no one to help you with raising your baby except for Jeno. They should’ve been there for you. They should’ve been supportive and excited. But they weren’t. They acted terrible, they regretted everything, letting you go and not having enough courage to face you after all this time. If it wasn’t for Jeno, none of you, not you or your parents, would’ve tried to end the war between you.
It’s been a couple hours since you woke up, time was going by really slowly. You had showered and cleaned the whole apartment. You cooked Jeno’s favorite meal because you wanted to make him happy after the last weeks.
You heard the door unlocking and you were so excited to see your husband and your baby, they were only gone for a couple hours but you missed them so much.
“I missed you two so much, don’t go out without me next time. I don’t need to rest I just need you two.”, you hugged them both tightly and your son’s giggle lit up your heart. “We missed you too. I have something for you.”, Jeno kissed your cheek as he stepped to the side. Your parents were standing right in front of you. You thought you’d never see them ever again.
“M-Mom? Dad?”, you whispered. Your parents couldn’t hold in their tears. “W-What are you doing here?”, you looked at Jeno who smiled at you.
“We are here to apologize and ask you for forgiveness.”, your father explained, your mother was unable to speak as she looked at her daughter.
“We are sorry for treating you so bad. We never deserved a daughter like you, the decision we made, it was impulsive and stupid. You are our only daughter, and we made the biggest mistake. We will understand If you don’t want us in your and your family’s life, but we want to apologize. Not only to you, but also to you Jeno. We were too blind to see how much you loved our daughter and you were there for her. We can be lucky that our daughter found someone like you.”, you could feel the tears falling down and the weight on your shoulders fade away.
You didn’t say anything. You couldn’t say anything. Everything felt like a dream, your biggest wish just came true. You pulled your parents into a hug and you cried with them, you finally reconnected with your parents and everything thanks to Jeno.
Your parents stayed over for a while, you told them everything about Minho and about Jeno’s career. You talked and talked and Jeno never saw you happier (except for the day Minho was born) and he wanted to see you like this forever. He made sure you’d never cry again and just always be happy.
After your parents left, you put Minho in his crib and when you entered your bedroom, Jeno was waiting for you already, he was walking in circles, he wanted to tell you how much he loved you. When you entered he stopped walking around like a maniac and faced you. He got closer and gently cupped your cheeks.
“I just want you to know that I wanted to talk to your parents for a long time now. You don’t deserve your parents or me, but we need you. You are way too perfect, you are everyone’s dream girl and I’m that lucky bastard who got you. I will love you forever and I would quit anything just to be with you and our son. You two are all I need in life and I promise you to love you forever.”
“Stop talking like I’m a rare crystal or something. I was also wrong, I do mistakes and I’m far from perfect. You have no idea how lucky I am to have a husband like you. Look what you did for me today and not only today, but you are always too good to me. I love you so much.”
With that, Jeno pressed his lips on yours and you melted into the kiss.

The brothers ranked from best to worst roommates:
1). Levi:
Honestly? The best roommate. He hardly leaves his room so his mess is usually concentrated there
Still wants to hang out with you, especially if it's related to his videogames
Sometimes you don't see him for days at a time which is both impressive and worrying
You wake up at night sometimes to hear him yelling at whatever videogame he's playing but if you text him and ask him to quiet down he usually will
Occasionally knocks on your door and shyly asks you to talk about his favorite manga/videogame/anime with you, and this boy will talk to you for hoURS
If the wifi is down you have to help him through whatever kind of crisis he has
2). Asmo:
Would be the best roommate if it wasn't for the 0 sleep you get over the weekends from all of the *noises*
you get invites to join him and his "friends" all the time, which is either a good thing (👀) or a bad thing
your closet is his closet. No clothes are safe. Sometimes you wake up to see your closet completely replaced and vaguely remember a drunk and excited Asmo telling you he's your new stylist
you guys always make sure you spend quality time together. Mani/pedi nights, popcorn and terrible rom-com nights, etc
Really good for your self esteem and will Force You to take care of yourself if you're feeling too depressed/anxious to do it yourself
Talks about himself a little too much but hey that’s what ear plugs are for
Showers you in compliments as long as you compliment him back
3). Belphie:
one of the most quiet roommates you could ever have. You're not sure if you've ever seen him awake for a span longer than 20 minutes
Will try to make an effort to hang out with you, but he always falls asleep halfway through, no matter what you're doing
He is always down for some platonic (or non platonic) cuddles
The apartment is such a mess. He never cleans up his messes because he's always too tired. Clothes are strewn everywhere, dishes sit in the sink unwashed, and old mugs litter any open surface.
Belphie always falls asleep in the oddest places/positions, which is almost endearing. You once opened your door to find him sleeping against the wall outside your room, as if he fell asleep while trying to knock on your door
Maybe ignore the yandare personality tho
4). Satan:
He's usually a very quiet roommate, usually reading in a corner of the living room or in the comfort of his own room
Lets you borrow his books all the time but you have to ask first.
If you ever step foot into his room without knocking he will use on or his forbidden books to curse you
Usually very clean, but sometimes you come home to see the entire apartment in shambles. These are the days you want to avoid him because there are more painful things that he could break when he's angry
Mystery movie nights!!!!!
You too play those roleplay games where you work to solve a mystery all the time
Don’t like cats? Too bad. You are never getting cat hair out of your favorite sweater
5). Beel:
-you would love this man so much if he would stop eating all of yoUR FOOD
-like how is he so sweet all the time but the moment he's hungry he tears through the entire apartment looking for a snack?? And he's terrifying??
Like he'll slam your door open with glowing eyes, some ungodly rumbling sound coming from his stomach and just look at it you and say "Food" and you're not sure if he's asking you if you have any or if he's thinking of having you as his next meal (and not in a sexy way)
-Constantly wants to hang out and if he ever thinks he hurt your feelings he would literally explode with sadness
Way too easy to forgive. Is he doing this on purpose?
Literally only ranked this low because of the grocery expenses
6). Mammon
Hey wait a second the *insert anything of some value here* I bought is missing!
Literally have to buy very intensive locks for your room
Nothing of yours of value can be left anywhere in the house. You forget your headphones in the living room? Gone. Your favorite mug in the sink? Poof! Mammon has stolen any object that you may somewhat care about before (and would do it again)
If you can get around the thievery he’s actually loads of fun and you guys hang all the time
Chaotic partners in crime, something about him makes you want to be reckless
Don’t be surprised if you walk in the house and suddenly there’s a bunch of animals running around. Mammon picks them up from the street and brings them inside. He’s taken rabbits, racoons, stray dogs/cats, and birds
I hope you have your rabies shot
7). Lucifer
If anything doesn’t go his way he throws one of his angry adult temper tantrums. What is the man’s obsession with threatening to hang you from the ceiling anyway??
Everything is spotless and if you leave even a spoon in the sink you are Dead
Lucifer is obsessive about you doing your chores on time but will get super frustrated because “you’re not doing it right” and then do it for you while complaining very loudly
Acts too stuck up to do anything fun with you and then gets grumpy because he’s bored (and unable to admit he’s interested in spending time with you)
You could be minding your own business and he’d come up to you like “Weren’t you aware that you need to brush your teeth using a softer brush?” or some shit
Lucifer’s a good listener, even if he doesn’t want you to know it. You mentioned how you liked a certain bakery once and you open the fridge to find a couple of treats from there with a post-it note with the words “for you” written

“Wei Wuxian you need to come get your fiancé this fucking instant.” Jiang Cheng’s voice hissed through the phone as Wuxian put it to his ear.
With a soft sigh, Wuxian grabbed a spoon and continued his stirring before he bothered to answer Jiang Cheng’s begging. Jiang Cheng and Lan Zhan were supposed to be bonding while Wuxian helped Yanli finish cooking. He’d only been gone for two hours and apparently they were already at each other’s throats.
“Chengcheng, please, what did he do? You know you can’t treat him like me, he and his brother aren’t like us.” Wuxian hummed, thinking about the well-mannered Xichen fondly. They really were so much more lowkey in their arguments.
“I hate you, I hate you so much and I hate him… We’re… bonding and I don’t like it.” The way Jiang Cheng howled it into the phone, Wuxian would have thought he was being actively killed rather than just wandering around a museum.
Wuxian laughed so hard he dropped the spoon onto the floor and had to fall back against the counter. He tried to stifle it with a hand to his mouth but it did nothing to stop the flowing giggles.
In the other room Yanli gave him an alarmed look but that just made the giggles turn into wheezing. Even Jiang Cheng’s angry growling in his ear did absolutely nothing to help cut off the endless stream. He tried his best, he really did, but this was the most ridiculous thing he’d ever heard out of his brother and he would remember this for years.
“Wei Ying.” Lan Zhan’s voice came through the phone, sounding almost as distressed as Jiang Cheng and the laughter only increased.
“Wa-wait…” He wheezed, fumbling around for the spoon and taking the second to grab a clean one to suck in a few breaths. They sounded so upset at getting along, what was Wuxian supposed to do?
“Okay, okay, I’m… I’m back.” Wuxian still snickered to himself as he started stirring again at Yanli’s pointed look. Pregnant and missing her husband was not leading to a happy Yanli and Wuxian did not want to be the one at the bad end of her disappointed face.
“Can I please come stay with you?” Lan Zhan said, and if it was anyone else Wuxian would have said it was a whine but of course his amazing Lan Zhan would never.
Suppressing another round of laughter, Wuxian shook his head and smiled at the pan instead. Was it cheesy of him to still be so excited and fuzzy-feeling whenever Lan Zhan said anything about being with him? Yes. Would Wuxian ever stop? Nope.
“Lan Zhan.” Wuxian finally said, trying his best to use a stern tone that definitely wasn’t working. “Jiang Cheng, you two are supposed to be bonding. Why is that so bad?”
The phone scratched and made a shuffling noise before Jiang Cheng’s voice came back.
“Did you know your fiancé loves art history?”
Wei Wuxian nodded to himself, wondering why that was a big deal. Was Jiang Cheng just grumpy that Lan Zhan knew more about the paintings? Or maybe Lan Zhan had corrected the guide, that had happened the last time they’d gone together.
“Xichen is a well known artist, I’d be more confused if Lan Zhan wasn’t interested in it-”
“Did you know that your brother loves art history?” Lan Zhan’s voice cut in and that was news to Wuxian.
“Uh, no? Jiang Cheng hates it, he failed three art classes in college. Had to get a job and everything to pay for them because his mother wouldn’t pay for them.”
“I didn’t-” Jiang Cheng’s voice cut off and Wuxian just knew his fiancé was giving Jiang Cheng a glare of absolute loathing for daring to lie even if it was to get along with Lan Zhan. “Wuxian, I did not fail three classes.”
Jiang Cheng’s voice dropped into the lowest hiss as if someone was going to crawl out of the walls with his mother to yell at him again. It had not been a good two years and even Jin Zixuan had been trying to offer Jiang Cheng money to just take a different elective so he could pass. Jiang Cheng, like usual, had been too damn stubborn to admit defeat and had just re-taken the same classes even when his parents had cut the college fund.
Wei Wuxian understood not wanting to admit to that, especially when the Jiang name held prestige in the fashion industry, and if it was anyone else then Wuxian would be happy to lie. Not to Lan Zhan though, never to Lan Zhan.
Wuxian opened his mouth to inform him of just that, when Jiang Cheng cut him off with an embarrassed confession.
“Tell your perfect fiancé to stop looking at me like that… I didn’t fail the classes, I didn’t want to graduate yet and have to go into the business so I lied and said I failed them. No one looked at my transcripts, I took a different class each time, I didn’t realize you actually believed that bullshit.” Jiang Cheng confessed sullenly and Wuxian wished he was standing beside him so he could kick his ass.
“You what?” Wuxian howled at the phone, dropping it onto the counter and pressing the speaker when Yanli ran into the room in a panic. “You tell Yanli-jie what you just said right now.”
“No wait- She’s going to be ups-”
“A-Cheng.”
“Fuck.” The phone went silent and Wei Wuxian wondered what silent conversation Lan Zhan and Jiang Cheng were glaring out. If it wasn’t for the fact that Yanli was now in this, he would be driving over there just to watch it go down.
“Okay… fucking… You remember when Mom kicked you out? You left and you said ‘don’t be a pushover when I can’t protect you’.” Jiang Cheng started and Wei Wuxian wailed dramatically, smacking himself in the face.
“I meant don’t let Jin Zixun talk shit, I didn’t mean… Lan Zhan, smack him for me! Twice!” There was a moment of almost audible mutual glaring. “Jiang Cheng, oh my god, oh my god. This is why she hated me, I turned you into a disgrace.”
“Shut up, I have two Master’s degrees from it even Jin Zixuan only has one.” Jiang Cheng shouted back before shuffling came over the phone and Wuxian realized Lan Zhan was probably shoving him out of the quiet museum.
“Enough yelling,” Yanli sighed softly, “A-Cheng, what are you talking about?”
It took a moment but finally Jiang Cheng’s voice came through at a much softer tone.
“I… wanted to get back at Mom for kicking Wuxian out, and I wanted to major in Art history anyways. Dad said that I had to go into business to take over Lotus, the only difference for the degrees were three classes so I just… Did both of them. Told Mom I’d failed to make a point, I’m perfectly fine at fucking up my life without Wuxian in it. Wait, why am I even having this conversation?”
“That backfired real fucking quick didn’t it.” Wuxian growled, he could see Jiang Cheng’s wince and the stubborn set to his shoulders.
How could his little brother be so stupid? He could have just done classes on the side, there was no need to get back at his parents. Wei Wuxian never held that against them, never! If he’d known it was all a stupid childish grudge that caused Jiang Cheng to get kicked out of the house for two years, he would have dragged him back and apologized himself.
“Shut up, I loved those classes! The only part of college that was fucking worth it. Don’t give me that look Lan Wangji, not all of us get to do what we want with our lives.”
“I did not give you a look-”
“You did, it’s the same fucking look you give me every time you see me. Like you have no fucking clue how your perfect precious Wei Ying came to be so amazing with me as a brother, like you’re disgusted with having to see me exist or fuck up-”
“I have not once-“
“Hey hey! You two stop it, both of you now. Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, can you please walk away for me?” Wuxian barked into the phone, trying to be louder than their arguing but he had no idea if either of them even remembered that he was still there.
“-give a fuck if you hate me, you’re-
“I have never said that I-”
“He’s my fucking family and I-”
“Wei Ying is-”
“Lan Zhan! Jiang Cheng! Come on you two please stop fighting, guys I swear I will cry.” He tried again but the growling didn’t stop for even a second.
“-I don’t care! Who do think gives a damn about you-”
The call ended with a rather concerning cracking and Wuxian’s head fell directly into the cupboard. Even the pain wasn’t enough to get him to actually concentrate, what just happened?
One moment they’re getting along, and apparently bonding to the point that both of them were actually worried and now they’re screaming at each other because of a lie that wasn’t even involving Lan Zhan! A lie that was completely and utterly Wuxian’s fault for pissing off Yu Ziyuan and somehow convincing his brother to go insane by trying to tell him to not let Jin Zixun kick him around.
“Jie…” He turned to her, eyes wide and hopeful. She would be able to tell him what to do or atleast what was going on. Right?
Even Yanli looked completely taken aback, her mouth moving soundlessly. They stared at each other, both trying to figure out how to fix this.
Atleast when Wuxian had punched Jin Zixuan he’d been fourteen, not twenty eight and in public. Was this going to be a tradition? Was Yanli going to sock Jiang Cheng’s future spouse?
The front door creaked open with a soft call from Jin Zixuan and they both snapped back to themselves.
“A-Xuan, I need you to drive A-Ying to the museum. I have to keep the food from burning.” Yanli said immediately, grabbing the spoon to stir before things started to burn. Jin Zixuan’s face came around the corner looking rather like a kicked puppy at the lack of greeting.
If it wasn’t a matter of life and death, Wuxian might have actually thought it was cute. But it was so he didn’t care and simply grabbed his arm to drag him out. Yanli was too far along in her pregnancy to be running after the two so Wuxian didn’t mind going alone anyways.
“Jiang Cheng and Lan Zhan got into a fight,” Wuxian finally explained as he shoved his feet into his shoes. That got Zixuan’s attention and he picked his keys up again and let himself be pulled out after a quick declaration of love towards Yanli’s stirring form.
“A fight? I mean Jiang Cheng I understand, but Wangji?” Jin Zixuan looked even more bewildered than Wuxian felt, but that didn’t stop him from freezing until he’d scowled Jin Zixuan into a mumbled apology.
“Just… Just get us there and we’ll explain everything over dinner.”
Wuxian tried to call Lan Zhan the moment he was in the car, tapping his feet anxiously against the bottom of the floor. For once, Zixuan didn’t bother to complain about it and just drove a little faster when the phone reached voicemail.
“Are you sure it was a fight? Don’t give me that look! Wanyin has a temper but he doesn’t just attack people… That aren’t you.” Zixuan amended and Wuxian hid his face behind his hands with a loud groan.
That was true, Jiang Cheng had a temper but he’d also been running Lotus LLC. for years and knew how to keep himself calm. Which meant that either Lan Zhan had said something truly unforgivable (for Jiang Cheng atleast) or Lan Zhan threw the first punch.
Wuxian couldn’t even say that it was impossible, Lan Zhan was more than a little overprotective of him. If Jiang Cheng said the wrong thing or it sounded like the wrong thing…
“Oh my god I’ve ruined my family a second time.” He said desperately, wanting nothing more than to just be home, preferably in the arms of his fiancé.
“Hey, hey, if something happens it’ll blow over eventually.” Zixuan said awkwardly before a very hesitant and flat hand patted Wuxian’s head. “Right? Family no matter what, even if you break someone’s nose, I said that before right? Remember you hated me and now you don’t.”
“Oh god Jiang Cheng’s going to break Lan Zhan’s nose and he’s going to hate the rest of my family.” Wuxian cried, pressing his hands firmer against his face so he didn’t actually start sobbing. If he was the reason why the love of his life hated his family then Wuxian would never be able to forgive himself or feel like he deserved to look at any of them.
“No- I… No you don’t hate me, and I don’t hate you and I’m making this worse.” Zixuan cursed tried to squeeze Wuxian’s shoulder comfortingly before he focused on the road, trying to figure out when he started actually caring about Wuxian and his partner.
__
Dark hair took up most of Jiang Wanyin’s vision as he blinked rapidly, the tears still pricking at his eyes. He tried to sniff but agony just shot up his nose instead and he groaned angrily.
“How bad is it?”
Lan Wangji’s hum did nothing to assuage his fears but a second later pale eyes met Jiang Wanyin’s and the man nodded.
“It’s not broken.” Lan Wangji finally said, carefully pressing a few more napkins onto the bloody mess. Jiang Wanyin swatted his hand away and moved to hold it himself, tilting his head to follow Lan Wangji’s movements to the bench beside him.
“You,” Jiang Wanyin started with a bump to Lan Wangji’s shoulder, “have a hard fucking head. Welcome to the family.”
Lan Wangji bristled like an angry bird before he blinked and realized that Jiang Wanyin was grinning at him. He was trying to be friendly.
Lan Wangji quietly reminded himself to tell Xichen just how much he appreciated having a mentally sane brother.
“I’m sorry I broke your phone.” Wangji finally said, looking down at the shattered screen in Jiang Wanyin’s hand.
“Don’t worry about it, I broke yours too when you fell on it… Wuxian’s going to have a heart attack though.”
Lan Wangji winced at the reminder, Wei Ying was incredibly attached to both of them and the last thing he’d heard was Lan Wangji headbutting his brother. Then he winced again at pain rocketing across his face, and reached up to tenderly press against the freshly bruised skin on his eye.
“Oh, right, lemme see.” Jiang Wanyin didn’t bother to wait for permission, just reached over to turn Lan Wangji’s face over.
It took every ounce of Lan Wangji’s patience not to headbutt him again, but after taking a punch to the face it really wasn’t worth it. Besides, if Wei Ying came over while Wangji was fighting his brother it would make things that much worse. He could barely fathom that not even fifteen minutes ago he and Jiang Wanyin had actually started to like each other and now they were both bruised and bloody.
“I didn’t hit hard enough to worry about cracking your skull, so you probably don’t need an X-ray, but if it stays a sharp pain I’d go in anyways, or if you can't move your eye.” Jiang Wanyin said knowledgeably, Lan Wangji wondered how he knew so much but at the same time he didn’t really care about that right now.
“Are you saying that you pulled your punch?” Lan Wangji said blankly. That punch had hurt, and Jiang Wanyin had pulled it?
“Of course I did, If I didn’t you’d be on your way to the hospital with a broken nose and a cracked eye. I grew up with Wuxian, do you really think we never got into scuffles? Got to the point, Dad signed us up for classes so we’d punch other people instead… Never stopped us though.” Jiang Wanyin said fondly, dabbing at the still bleeding nose and leaning back into the bench now that his examination was over.
“Why would you fight your brother?” Lan Wangji was aghast, of course Wei Ying had told him about some of the fights he’d gotten into when he was younger, but he’d never realized how physical he meant. He couldn’t even imagine punching Xichen, or, heaven forbid, Xichen punching him.
“Why wouldn’t I? Oh right, you were raised properly.” It didn’t sound sarcastic so Lan Wangji didn’t react. “Sometimes you just get pissed off and you have nothing else to do but to tackle your idiot brother until Jiejie comes over to help. Don’t look at me like that, Wuxian broke my arm, twice. And the second time wasn’t even my fault.”
Jiang Wanyin’s head turned toward him with an almost evil mirth.
“You got grown-up Wei Ying, I got feral Wei Wuxian. Do you know how many times that little shit would pick fights then bolt back to hide behind me when he realized he was out-sized or out-numbered? Another reason we had to take defence classes, even if we were outnumbered, if we had each other’s back we weren’t going down easy. This way we stopped coming home bloody.”
Again Lan Wangji didn’t say anything, just sat quietly and watched the park in front of them as he thought. Wei Ying had told him multiple times that Jiang Wanyin wasn’t like Xichen, they communicated differently. Lan Wangji had assumed that meant that he was probably more like Nie Mingjue but atleast Nie Mingjue could compliment Nie Huaisang to his face instead of half hearted insults.
Wei Ying said they were bonding, and they had nothing to do until Wei Ying arrived so perhaps…
“You said… You lied for him?” Wangji finally asked, wondering if it counted as an attempt at friendliness.
The laughter drained from Jiang Wanyin’s face immediately and his lip curled slightly like he wanted nothing more than to bare his teeth. If he was looking for another fight Wangji wouldn’t give in a second time, that would only hurt Wei Ying more. Yet Jiang Wanyin’s voice was soft and strained like he was forcing himself to speak and it was painful.
“Mom kicked him out after a fight with Dad. She wasn’t really mad at Wuxian but she couldn’t do anything against Dad but she knew kicking him out would hurt him. Jiejie was already living with her husband and I was off to college so she couldn’t actually do anything but yell over the phone. So when the opportunity to rub it in her face that Wuxian was the reason I was so good in classes showed up, I took it. Wanted to hurt her for hurting him.” Jiang Wanyin’s face slipped into a mask of guilt and shame, even two years out of college and the full owner of Lotus he still couldn’t believe he’d been so shitty to his mother. She’d only wanted the best for him but he wanted his family together and when one went missing he cracked the connections to the rest of them. In the end Yanli was the only one he talked to all those long years of college until the beginning of his last semester when Wuxian returned.
“Your parents cut you off?”
“Of course they did, wasn’t Mom though. She thought I was sick or just rebelling, which I was, but Dad was pissed. Still surprised he even remembered I existed once I left the house.”
“You paid for college yourself?”
“Eh? No, I got a scholarship in the first place, parents paid for my business administration degree and the school paid for my art history degree. Do you think I’d be so good at design if I couldn’t pass an art class? The extra scholarship meant I needed another year and a half of school unless I wanted to stuff it all in at the same time. Kept me out of the house long enough for that idiot to come back… Otherwise I probably wouldn’t have gone.”
Lan Wangji couldn’t stop himself from frowning as he looked at the man avoiding his gaze. He really couldn’t get a read on him, which in itself wasn’t that strange he didn’t get most people, but Jiang Wanyin had literally just told him something even Wei Ying didn’t know and Wangji still didn’t know what was going on with him.
He wanted to put Jiang Wanyin firmly in the ‘I only accept they exist when Wei Ying asks me too’ but he couldn’t help but remember the hour and a half prior when they’d been debating painting styles from the 18th century, it had been almost as much fun as speaking with Xichen over painting archetypes. Now he also knew that Jiang Wanyin hadn’t wanted Wei Ying to leave and waited for him to return to the family. As much as Wangji wanted to hate him for all the arguments between the brothers and for not fighting his mother to keep a roof over Wei Ying’s head, he couldn’t quite bring himself to feel it.
“... I..” Wangji started, mentally chanting ‘this is for Wei Ying’, “I do not hate you.”
“Oh that’s a relief.” Jiang Wanyin said sarcastically but he didn’t glare so Wangji took that as a good sign.
“Earlier… When you said no one cares about Wei Ying and I-”
“I meant the gay thing, Wuxian’s always so touchy about it like I didn’t have to share a room with him for thirteen years and hear him when he saw Nie Mingjue for the first time. I thought you were arguing about that.” Jiang Wanyin said so flippantly that Lan Wangji actually felt bad for head butting him.
“Wei Ying is not a disgrace to you or anyone else.”
“I don’t care about that. Who gives a damn about you and him?”
As Wei Ying would say: Oops.
“I see how fighting works now.” Wangji said with a nod to himself. After throwing a few punches, they were both now too tired to argue in the same way and could only listen and communicate. That made a lot of sense even if Wangji would prefer that Wei Ying never need to throw a punch ever again.
Jiang Wanyin gave him a wide eyed look before he barked out a laugh and shook his head as he stood.
“Uh Huh. Sure you do, atleast you and Zixuan will have something to bond over. Wuxian really did break his nose when we were fourteen.” Jiang Wanyin was still smiling at that and Lan Wangji realized he would never understand anyone in his husband’s family. Not really.
“... Xichen has a painting that was recently added to this museum’s collection.” Wangji said, wondering if the olive branch would be taken. They’d started arguing and debating on every painting and hadn’t even managed to get halfway through the actual museum before they’d both had the panicked realization they had started to like each other.
Jiang Cheng gave him a narrowed eye glare before he tossed the bloody napkins away and shrugged.
“Let’s go see it, who knows when Wuxian’ll show up.”
Half an hour was how long it took and Wuxian nearly screamed when he saw them.
“Lan Zhan, Lan Zhan, your face! Jiang Cheng, how could you- Chengcheng your face?!” Wuxian had gasped, holding onto Lan Wangji’s jacket and looking more horrified then the time he’d watched a documentary where the fox ate a rabbit. “You two! How could you- I cannot believe you two- Why are you both looking at me like that?”
Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji shared an amused glance, keeping quiet over Wuxian’s admonishing. Jiang Cheng passed over the drink he’d been holding to Wuxian’s hands and successfully distracted him from his staring.
“Your fiancé has good taste in coffee.” Was all Jiang Cheng said, walking toward Jin Zixuan instead and leaving the dramatics for the one who signed up for it.
“Your brother has rather interesting ideas on color theory.” Lan Wangji said to Wuxian, his lips only twitching into a more fond smile at the hand waving and bewildered look on his fiancé’s face. “We have bonded.”
“You… broke each other’s faces.” Wuxian cried, holding the drink in one hand so the other could cradle Wangji’s cheek and gently stroke over the unbruised skin. “I’m so so so sorry, Lan Zhan, I didn’t realize he’d punch you or I never would have left-”
“There’s no need for apologies,” Lan Wangji said pointedly, gently reaching up to take Wuxian’s hands and press a kiss to the fingertips, “besides, I hit first. It was a misunderstanding. It has been cleared up. I believed him to be looking down on you, he believed me to be ashamed of my relationship with another man.”
“You two.. You two are never allowed to bond again. If I wanted you to punch each other I would have sent you to Huaisang’s brother’s gym to box it out.” Despite his words, Wuxian had relaxed considerably and spared a glance over his shoulder towards his brother. “So… You don’t hate him?”
“No. I do not understand him, but I know he cares about you. That’s all I need to know.” Wangji said with another kiss to his fingertips.
“That’s the best thing I’ve ever heard… Well other than when you confessed, and when you proposed, and when you say my name and-”
Wangji shook his head, shutting him up with a kiss that Wuxian was more than happy to reciprocate.
Jiang Cheng glanced at their disgusting affection and then the very awkward looking Jin Zixuan.
“... Go ahead.” He finally said with a suffering sigh. In seconds, Jin Zixuan was in his face, carefully checking his nose. The moment they’d found out that Yanli was pregnant Zixuan had devoted himself to all forms of emergency medical training just in case anything happened to their baby. In doing that, though, had somehow unlocked his need to use that towards anyone he considered family.
“Okay it’s not broken, and Lan Wangji… I’m sure Wuxian has that handled.” Jin Zixuan said after glancing at the couple and Jiang Cheng really couldn’t blame him.
“Why are you here anyways?”
“A-Li yelled at me to drive Wei Wuxian here.” He said pathetically, like there couldn’t be anything worse in the world than Yanli yelling at him. And he was right.
“Hmm, we should probably call her and tell her that we’re not dead. I broke my phone and Lan Wangji’s.” Jiang Cheng said, holding out his hand for Jin Zixuan’s phone. Jin Zixuan looked like he didn’t trust him but a moment later he gave in and passed it over.
“Uh… I hope you two are getting along now.” Jin Zixuan said, trying for an awkward smile. “I’m glad my family is getting along.”
“You’re not good at this.” Jiang Cheng said bluntly and Jin Zixuan shook his head rapidly.
“No I’m not. Please call A-Li, the stress isn’t good for the baby, and I mean all three of us.”
“God, I hope I die alone.” Jiang Cheng sighed as he clicked on the contact and started to herd Jin Zixuan out of the gallery before the two behind them started getting handsy.

CLINGY 《 STILES STILINSKI x READER 》 PART THREE
Tumblr media
Warning: Jealousy, angst and fluff.
Summary: She goes on a ride with Dean. Stiles keeps a distance from her but his eyes were burning with fire. Jealousy takes over him leading to a fight between them.
It would be a lie to say that Y/n didn’t enjoy the ride. It was peaceful and Dean didn’t miss a chance to make her laugh. Well ofcourse she almost fell two darn times for speeding up her cycle, trying to beat Dean. But, overall she seemed happy and the nature did keep her happy.
It reminded her of the Woods…all the animals and the breeze and..Stiles. Well.um..she didn’t quite forget about him. At the back of her mind, it continued to pinch her. But she decided to concentrate on her surroundings rather than someone who didn’t appreciate her company. There were trees around, breeze making her hair flow back, the birds chirping around, a shiny golden quiet afternoon and a laughing crazy Dean.
Things were going nice. She felt happy.
“Woooohoooooooo!!” She yelled.
Try and beat me Y/n!!!“ Dean shouted.
“IS that a challenge?!!” She shouted from the back.
“YES!!!” He said speeding up his cycle.
Dean sped up and was before her, and they heard a honk from the behind. She looked behind and saw a car..Roscoe. She moved aside as her thoughts began to move all over the place, and that’s when she realized. Dean decided to come cycling this way and this is where the Pack are gonna have their picnic. She quickly tried to hide her face when she heard a yell.
“Y/N!!”
Ofcourse. I AM LATE AS ALWAYS GODDAMMIT. She looked beside her, trying hard to smile but ending up with a weird face.
“H-Hey Lydia!” She said.
“Are you going this way?!” Lydia yelled.
Y/n stuttered but was interrupted when Dean yelled, “You are losing Y/n! If I win I want a kiss!!!”
She felt the color of her cheeks rising when she realized that not only the Pack heard that BUT Mr Stilinski and Mrs McCall HEARD IT TOO. Ugh Dean can be reaallly annoying at times.
“Oh.” Allison giggled “It will be nice if you lose this race.”
Y/n smiled and took a peek inside, hoping to see Stiles, but he was turned around towards the right side of the window.
Wow, he didn’t even look at me. I mean atleast a hi would have been nice after his conversation with them. Sigh, looks like he is right. I am the one who is missing him. “Well um, you guys need to speed up. Hey Dean!! Move aside!!”
“Enjoy Y/n!” Scott shouted before they sped their car and were almost out of sight.
She stopped when Dean smirked and came beside her.
“Tell me this wasn’t the reason you planned the cycling for.”
“Not at all. If you remember then I asked you about the cycling before all those things happened.” He laughed when you glared at him “Okay, maybe the destination changed.”
“And?”
“And the competition…so that we can reach there faster.” Y/n gave him the cold look.
“Ugh, I am not going there.” Y/n said turning her bicycle around. Dean held her hand and said, “YOU said you are up for a challenge, so I just leveled it up darling.”
“Leveled it up?! I didn’t even pass the beginner’s level and you decided to surprise me with the EXPERT LEVEL!! Dean what is wrong with you?! You are supposed to help me!”
“Oh I freaking am. See, the more you are around him, the more you will get used to him and then eventually all the hard feelings will be vanished just like ‘poof!’” He said.
She sighed, “It’s too much for the first day. You don’t understand how I feel.”
“I do. You…you are the one who supported me when she left me. Turned me into a fuckboy .”
Y/n smiled and said, “Yeah, I suppose. But wait, are you trying to turn me like a slut?”
“You? A slut? Oh trust me, you can’t do that even if I tried.” He laughed.
There was a moment of silence. “So..you feel good enough to turn around and continue cycling?” She just nodded her head.
“But please tell me we will be out of their sight.” Y/n said starting to cycle back to the park.
“Whatever is comfortable for you darling.” Dean said.
*Time Skip*
The Pack were all a giggling mess. They were whispering and occasionally looking at Stiles
“Will you guys stop that?” Stiles snapped, irritated of everything.
“Will YOU stop that? What is that behavior? We are going for a picnic STILES, we are supposed to be like this. Laughing and happy and not grumpy like you.” Issac said.
“Enough kids. No fighting. We are here.” Noah parked the car nearby while the others took out the food and mats.
Stiles wasn’t sure why was he upset. He was confused. Yes, he kind of expected Y/n to arrive and be with them in this picnic. Maybe he is upset because of this. She could be arriving here in this spot with that nosy Dean, then that would mean they will be together in the picnic right? Then why wasn’t he okay by now? I mean everyone will be there along with Y/n…and why was he upset with all the giggling and how Dean shouted about the kiss?
“Hey.” Scott nudged him.
“Oh. What were you saying?”
He laughed and said, “I didn’t say anything!”
“Oh..I was just..”
“Thinking about Y/n?”
“Ye–uh no no.”
“Come on bro you know you can tell me.”
“I don’t know..It’s just that..I don’t know why I am feeling angry. I mean, Y/n is gonna be here I guess and then I can apologise for everything but still something feels wrong.”
“Oh..don’t worry, you’ll figure it out. But if you ask me, then I will say you are just jealous to see them together.”He mischievously smiled and said.
“What?”Stiles looked at him.
“Coming!!!” And ran away to Allison who was standing with a volleyball, preparing herself to play.
Stiles sighed and ran towards them, hoping his mood will be fine at the end of the day.
*Time Skip*
*Tring Tring*
Stiles looked back. And there she was. Smiling and laughing. And her hair perfectly flo– His thoughts got interrupted.
“HEY LOOK OUT!! There’s a bird pooping above you!” Y/n looked up and Dean took the opportunity to overtake her and he turned back. “I win.”
“HEY! That’s cheating!” She laughed.
Oh she definitely wanted this. Ofcourse she wants to kiss him. She is not even looking at me! We are clearly loud enough for her to hear! Stiles looked at how they both perfectly parked their bicycles next to each other like..like darn couples.
And he suddenly felt a sharp pain on his shoulder. “Ow!!” He yelled.
“You need to be present in the game physically AND mentally Stiles!” Issac smirked.
“I-I am!!” He blushed. Y/n now looked at him. His face was red.
She walked over the green soft grass and finally settled down under a tree, a little away from them. She looked at Mr Stilinski , who was present there and  pouring some tea and drinking it.
“Watching your father-in-law?” Dean laughed sitting beside her, their shoulders touching.
She kicked his legs lightly and smiled “It’s not funny.”
“It made you laugh. Kinda is then.”
“Make Stiles laugh and I’ll agree with you.”
“Naaaah. Atleast I can peacefully flirt with you now. Although he is literally trying to burn me to ashes right now.” He chuckled.
Yes, Stiles was playing, but his complete attention was towards Y/n. His jaw locked, eyes frequently moving back and forth from her to Dean, how dangerously close those two were sitting.
“What? Really?” She said turning her head to look at him but then Dean cupped his hands on her face trying to block her view. “Wha–”
“Don’t look. The method is working.”
“What??”
“WHy can’t you just shut up for a second?”
“WHy can’t you just answer my questions?”
“This is the time. Kiss me.”
“Wait what? Woah Dea–” As she went on to remove his hands, the ball came rolling near Dean’s feet.
“Don’t wanna interrupt you two but can you pass the ball?” Allison giggled.
“Hey Y/n!! Join us!” Lydia yelled.
“Uh..s-sure! Sometime later! I promise! I have a company you see!” She said pointing at Dean.
Stiles chest tightened and he huffed, “Yeah!! You can enjoy with him!” He furiously walked to them, picked up the ball and said, “We are absolutely happy over here! Please don’t ruin our mood!”
Y/n now snapped. Enough is enough. She stood up while Dean quietly sat and watched the drama, a grin on his lips. “What is wrong with you! Why are you acting like this?! Have I done something now to irritate you? No right? Then why don’t you go back to your business!”
The Pack went to sit with the elders giving a little privacy to the both.
“What is wrong with me? What is wrong with you! All these days you are with me and-and spend your time with me and suddenly today you show up with some damn neighbour!”
“Well Miecyzslaw the world doesn’t revolve around you! I prefer spending my time with people who actually loves my clinginess and not lie about how they are enjoying with me, when they are actually not!”
Stiles went quiet for a while. “But I thought you only did this with me.”
“What?”
“I am really sorry. I didn’t mean those at all. I said those to make Scott and Allison shut up. Those just came out of anger. I missed you. I thought you sat like that only with me. I thought you laughed like that only with me. I thought you hugged like that…only with me. I never thought that..that you will…I always thought those moments belonged to me.” He said eyes locked with hers.
“But Sti you said you didn’t like that.” Her voice softened.
“I do, your every little gesture makes me happy. I love spending time with you. You are the only one who can make me smile and who truly understand me when.the Pack fails to do that.”
Y/n smiled and blushed. “I love you Sti. I did for a long time. You never..never really made any move to make me understand anything. I know that you may not love me like the way I do but…I need to let these out. I can still be your friend but, there will be changes in our friendship then.”
Stiles was quiet for her sudden confession. “I understand.” She smiled. Fighting back the tears, she turned around. Why did I do that?!
She suddenly felt a strong pull and they were kissing. It took a moment for her to realize what just happened. She smiled and kissed him back immediately, her hands going on the back of his neck, tugging his brown hair lightly, finally letting out the tears forming on her eyes. His hands went down to her waist pulling her closer to him. The kiss was full of love and force–needy, strong and passionate. All the emotions suppressed between them starting pouring out.
“Uhh…I appreciate your lovely moment of sucking each others faces but being her best friend, it really looks gross.” Dean interrupted.
They pulled from each other with a red face and smile on their lips. They looked back and saw the Pack smiling and giving him a thumbs up .
“Oh no.” She blushed and hid her face on his chest, while he hugged her, “I really am clingy.”

Chapter 1: Milo’s
Tumblr media
“Hi, is this the Peters residents?”
Whoever picked up the phone shushed the person that was yelling in the background, missing the reserver as I could hear everything.
“Who’s asking?” The voice was rough and it reminded me of my step-mother and her never-ending cigarette problem.
“I know your son, I was wondering if he was home because I have something of his,” I looked to the well planned out history notes that I held tightly in my hand.
I know I could have, no should have, just waited for Monday to return the papers but I couldn’t stop thinking about yesterday in the gym and that stupid video.
Was I actually decent? I knew I wasn’t the same level I was at one point but I had a chance and according to the four, she wasn’t bad.
“He’s not here, that boy, he’s probably at that Bobby’s boy house,” I nodded even if they couldn’t hear me, understanding this nasty language more than I wish.
“Do you know their address?”
“Yeah yeah, 458 Sunset Road,” I opened my mouth, ready to thank the lady but the phone was hung up quickly and I rolled my eyes. I was thankful that my parents with ahead and divorce when things started getting bad.
I grabbed the papers a little tighter in my hands, realizing I lived a block or so from the house in question and left the keys on my bedside table. No need to waste gas for some notes that I didn’t even need to drop off. I walked down the carpet stairs of my house and walked out the front door.
As soon as I made it from the door I felt the sun run over my skin, calming to my overthinking mind as I grabbed the railing, careful not to make my knee worse.
Did they delete the video as I asked?
Was this stupid?
I knew how desperate they were, it could have been all a plan to get me a part of the team because if I trusted them then some other dancers might. I was respected in the dance community and I knew the numbers to call.
I watched my feet, skipping each crack in the pavement as I did so for something for my brain to focus on.
Would they really help me face this fear?
Were they just selfish?
As I turned down one of the roads I could hear a faint sound of loud music drift over the streets, kids drawing on the road with chalk and bobbing their head.
I couldn’t believe the difference in the two sides of the neighbors, how proper and elegant my side was compared to the dancing kids, and the loud music. I spotted a small lemonade stand across from the house I was heading for.
A light smile graced my lips, amazed at the little community the little space had. It wasn’t just doctors and lawyers packed together trying to be better than the next yard.
I stopped at the driveway for the house, looking over the black roof and the white exterior of the house. Would it be weird just showing up?
We weren’t friends, no problem between me and the four but still, I definitely shouldn’t know where one lives and the only reason I knew that was from a phone call with the Peters, which I got from the phone book.
Maybe this was weird, very very weird. I panicked when I heard some sort of door open, the loud boyish laugh drifting from wherever to my spot at the end of the driveway.
“That might be one of our best works,” the happy voice was nice, the atmosphere obviously better than yesterday.
I panicked, turning around while my sweaty hands gripped the notes in my hand tightly.
“(Y/N)?”
I closed my eyes, taking a small breath in and turning back to the four boys I knew were looking at me widely.
“Hi,” I nodded, looking at each of their confused faces. I knew this would be weird.
“I have Reggie’s notes,” I held them out to the boy who was clad in a leather jacket as he gave a soft smile.
“Thanks, how’d you know I’d be here?”
I was thankful his voice was disgusted and angry but nice and gentle, just what I needed right now.
“Found you in the phone book,” I nodded, wondering if I should apologize for the household, but I backed off when I realized it wasn’t my place.
“You called my parents?”
I watched his shoulders drop, his face psychically panicking as he looked back to his friends for some help.
“Yeah, they seemed Uhm, nice?”
Reggie watched me for a few seconds while I rocked back and forth on my beat-up tennis shoes, doing my best not to combust at the sight.
“Oh, Uhm yeah,” he nodded, a mutual agreement made with each other's eyes not to mention any farther.
“Is that all?”
Patterson, or Luke, stood behind Reggie obviously trying to protect the boy from whatever I might say next.
“No,” I nodded, doing my best to come off as friend and not foe but it felt too late from that as Luke gave a grumpy smile.
“Bye bye then,” Luke waved, keeping Reggie close to his side. Reggie looked up at Luke, begging him to stop his anger to me.
I turned around, doing my best to run away for the four without making myself look more like an idiot, but I’ve never been great about that with boys.
“Do you have the video?”
Shut up (Y/N)!
“Uhm, yeah,” Bobby cut in, his voice calm as if not to scare me or make me mad. I didn’t know which but I understood both sides.
“Can I see it?” I turned back around this time, taking in some heavy breaths as I prepared for faces that looked like they would hurt me, but it never came.
Reggie looked to be bouncing on his heels as his smile grew ten times the size, Alex looked to be taking breaths that were calming his nerves, Bobby nodding his head at me with a smirk, and Luke looked to bite his bottom lip trying to hide his smile.
“Yeah, no totally,” Luke looked at his other bandmates, smirking as he walked past me. I was about to say something, pointing over at the house where they had just left from.
“We have to get Milo’s first,” Luke called over his shoulder, pointing over at the lemonade stand that I noticed once I turned the block.
“Milo’s?” I watched the other three follow Luke, each turning back to me while waving their arms.
“You’ll never have anything better,” Alex called over his shoulder, smiling once the little boy came running from the house. He almost came alive at the sight of the boys standing in front of his stand, the boy couldn’t be more than 8.
I slowly walked across the street, looking to both sides twice before jogging to join the boys that seemed to smile as the little boy made it down his stair railing and skipped to the older ones.
“Morning boys,” he spoke with a small lisp and seemed to be missing a tooth but his smile would have lit up a room in the entire state.
“Morning Milo,” Luke responded, leaning against the stand before it shook slightly and he hurriedly pulled away.
“Who’s that?”
He didn’t seem bothered by my presence, just curious about it. I was wondering why I never knew about what went on around the block from my house, but that didn’t matter as Reggie grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the front.
“A friend from school, her name (Y/N),” Bobby introduces me, the boy smiling as he holds his hand out for a handshake. I reached out, placing my hand in his and he gave a firm shake. I was shocked at his confidence, making me miss my own.
“I’m Milo, Sunset Road official lemonade and bakery stand,” his voice made a smile grace my lips, watching as he left a cute little kiss on my knuckle, earning a laugh from the other boys.
“Okay loverboy, we demand service,” Luke jokily slammed his hand on the table of the stand, pulling the sweater on my arm so he rested back to my side.
“Coming up!”
The boy dived behind the stand, pulling out a cheap bucket he got from a local shop with four mason jars inside. Once he pulled them out I noticed that each one had glitter and colored paper. Each had different drawings and little cut-outs.
I reached from one, Luke trying to grab my arm but I was already spinning it around, in horrible handwritten was the name “LUKE” in all capital letters.
“Oh wow,” I smiled at the horrible handwritten and the little microphone that definitely didn’t look like a microphone. The blue and red glitter made the sight even better.
“They made them once they became regular after babysitting me one night,” Milo cut in, holding up a finger to run back in the house, probably to grab the lemonade.
I smiled turning around and smiling at the others around us. Bobby looked as embarrassed but Alex was simply laughing at the others and Reggie looked proud.
“I came to watch my tape but this might be better,” I tried to turn my laugh into a cough since I still wasn’t that close with the boys.
“Hush,” Luke bumped my shoulder. Milo's wide laugh brought me back to the boy as he held a plain mason jar in his hand.
Tumblr media
I couldn’t believe myself as I watched my feet glide across the floor, for the first time in a long time. I definitely wasn’t as good as I once was, which made me upset me but I still wasn’t half that bad.
“See! We told you,” Luke had made sure to sit close beside me on the couch of what seemed to be their studio. He wanted to watch how I reacted, thinking I would change my mind.
I couldn’t help but think I would, I mean I came here on a Saturday for a reason and it wasn’t the return notes.
“I’m not as good as I was, but I’m not bad,” I kept watching, smiling before I watched myself spin. My body falling to the floor as it did all those months ago, the horror-filled me up before Alex ripped the video camera from my grip.
“That’s not important,” he nervously laughed, hiding the camera behind his back but I could still hear their panicked voice from yesterday still.
“Because it will never happen again,” Reggie cut in, I could already tell he was optimistic for the four.
“But it could and one more bad fall and I might not walk again.”
I knew how dramatic I sounded but it seemed the only way to get through their skulls. I rolled my eyes, standing up from the couch, not even stopping as I walked to the open doors.
“I don’t know why I even came, I’ll see you guys around,” I waved over my shoulder, letting the video that I would hope have given me hope finally stop playing behind the blonde boys back.
“You came because you miss it.”
I shouldn’t have thought over Luke’s words, he just wanted to win the Battle of the Performers, but man it struck a deep chord. He took me rooted at the door as a sign to continue.
“You miss dancing and if I was as good as you I would be too,” Luke's voice grew closer and closer as he walked closer to my frozen figure.
“I have a question for you,” I spun on my heel, stepping back slightly when I realized how close he was. I could smell the scent of sugar and musk, which was a nice change to the overbearing scents I was used to.
“Shoot!”
“What if you broke your wrist, snapping it just the right way that you could never bend it around the neck of your guitar the same ever again, you couldn’t slide your fingers over the frets the same, would you still play?”
I knew how harsh I sounded, but the truth was harsher because that is exactly what happened to me. I tried a lift cause I was bored during practice and now my dreams were practically gone, so I knew harsh was the only way he’d see it.
“Yes, because music is more than just being good. Sure, it suck but I could still feel it and love it, why’d give up something that special!” He spoke wildly with his hands, obviously not realizing how close we are as he stepped closer.
“But watching someone else dance and myself dancing are two different things,” I spoke, trying to find a flaw in his logic but his point was clear.
Just cause I wouldn’t be as good doesn’t mean I’ll never be good again.
“But you dancing is still possible, we have video evidence,” at that Alex held up the video, pressing play as I watched myself calming walk into the gym, my hands close to my chest as I looked around the room.
“Join us in the Battle of the Performers and maybe you’ll feel it again, let two dreamers chase their dreams together,” he spoke happily, seemingly happy with his words.
“You listen to way too much John Lennon,” I spoke, shaking my head, turning around, and finally leaving the studio. I felt tears threatened to fall down my cheek but knew better than to cry with a chance of getting caught.
As I jogged down the long driveway I was on, the sign I had been asking myself since the fall. Milo stood in his front yard, talking with an older man I had seen work at a bakery a town or two over.
He seemed to have a children's cookbook in his hand, pointing over different things as Milo smiled and took notes in a black and white notebook. Maybe it was stupid to use this as my sign, their were plenty of others that made more sense, but after listening to little 7, soon to be 8, year old, Milo go on and on about how he was going to be a baker even if he wasn’t great at it now.
Because he liked it, that was all. He was bad, according to Bobby he almost burned his house down, but he liked baking so who was to stop him? The only person that Milo let stop him was his mother, but he said that’s only because he can’t reach the top shelves.
I turned around, my confidence that I had missed washing over me in a wave of adrenaline and I didn’t mind it, I missed it.
The doors to the studio were still open and I could hear much talk, maybe tuning but nothing more. I made my way to the door, standing in the center of the doorway while looking over each boy.
These boys played because they liked it, they just happened to be good.
“Need something?”
People didn’t have to be good at something to like it.
“Is she okay?”
And maybe they don’t win the competition, but you can’t win something you don’t try.
“Is she having a stroke?”
I took shaky breaths, looking at each boy's confused face.
“How long till we bomb this battle?”
My words were simple but the smiles that broke across each face were way more complex and beautiful.
“She came thought!” Bobby yelled, jumping up and down as Alex laughed, pulling his friends into a tight hug.
“Sunset Curve gonna win, Sunset Curve gonna win,” Reggie sang in a loud boom, smiling as he did a funny little dance with some sort of imaginary rope.
Luke pushed himself from the couch, running over and wrapping his arms around the back of my head. My two hands rested on his biceps, smiling at the vibe that had busted the room wide open.
“Look’s like you’ll need your own cup at Milo’s with how often you’ll be here.”

Hi, I see baby Idia and baby Malleus and I loved, one of the cutest things that I ever read, so I want to ask to you If you can do more, about the others, you choose who. Thank you🥰
Hello~♡
Awww you really guys love them babies,Don't you?♡
More babies to go🍼
Have a good day and take care ~♡
Small point before we begin (age)
Azul/riddle/kalim (a year or less)
Idia/vil (a year and half or more abit)
Leona/malleus (two years)
• Been called in the headmaster's office means no good sometimes, you entered the office and you wish you didn't, once you opened the door and saw all dorm leaders as babies you turned back and closed the door behind you.
• "No you won't!" Said Crowley who was already holding baby riddle on his hand and opening back the door and dragged you to the office again.
• "(Y/n)! You have to take care of them while i find a way to return them!"said Crowley trying to lower his voice not to wake baby riddle or any other babies.
• "Why would i? Don't they have vices?" You said pouting as Crowley handed you baby riddle.
• "Well! They have lessons!"
• "Don't i also have lessons?" Let's say you can't keep your voice lower than this anymore
• "Well dear, you don't have magic so there's no use of you going there! Oh well! Take them to your dorm and take good care of them while i finish what I'm doing so i will have time to find a way to return you to your world!" Said Crowley pushing you and rolling baby strollers of them with you out of the office.
• You were provided by baby stuff from the headmaster, bottles, diapers, rattles and other needed things for them.
• You set up a playing area for the babies with all safe toys that they can't swallow, it was all at peace until malleus' eyes landed on a stuffed dragon on the floor, once he placed his hand on it leona also put his hand on it and then the war began!
• "Mine~!"
• "No! Mine!!!"
• They both pulled the dragon each side till it got torned into many pieces, malleus' eyes began to tear up and then the tantrum began! He began to cry out and breath fire everywhere.
• You rushed carrying kalim and riddle in your arms as azul found a pot to hide himself in (baby octopus form) as idia started Crawling away along with vil far from the fire and also leona took some far steps from the fire.
• After placing everyone in a safe place you went back to malleus who was crying so hard, you put down the fire, he was still sobbing, you bent down to him and took the torn toy in your hand, you gave him a warm smile and pated his head to comfort him.
• "I will fix it for you, then you can play with it later!" You said to the still sobbing malleus who noded you in silence .
• You of course had to comfort them all but they took a place to play away from malleus not wanting him to go any near of them which made him sad, he sat in the corner alone sadly, it made you feel pity for him but you noticed that someone was missing!
• "Azul!" You remembered as you looked for him everywhere until you found him in a pot, all shaking and scared with his chubby face and cute baby octopus arms, you carried him out of the pot and started patting on his back to make him stop crying.
• You felt something wet, like a line of water dropping from your arm, you looked down to see a black line running down your arm, is that ink?!
• "Ew!" Said little vil disgusted who was sitting on the corner holding a mirror that you don't know how or where would a one and half year old baby would find a mirror!
• It if course made little azul embarrassed as he started sobbing hiding himself in your chest from embarrassment, you gave vil an angiry look but he didn't care anyway, you took azul to the bathroom washing his arms fron ink and also your arms till both of you became clean!
• You returned to the group holding azul in your arm and hoping that everything is going to be alright but that was far from gaining! For some reasons vil had a figh with leona or it's leona who had this fight! And due to this fight baby riddle woke up crying and when kalim saw riddle crying he also started crying! And while vil and leona were fighting leona pushed vil so he fall on idia who fell already over the blocks tower that he was making smashing it!
• That's when idia started tearing and crying loudly! Will this stop now? Noooooooo! Idia decided to take revenge so he took a piece of blocks and threw it over them but it missed them and hit malleus by mistake so he entered the fight! It was a disaster!
• "ENOUGH!" You yelled at the crying mess everywhere and everything fall silence in seconds.
• "Who began the fight?" You asked them angirly as you bent to place azul by riddle and kalim, they all pointed to leona!
• "Leona! To the naughty corner, right now!" You yelled at the little boy pointing at the corner as he walked grumpy there, sitting on the floor cross arms on his chest.
• "Vil! Apologies to idia! And you too idia apologies to malleus!"
• "No!" Said vil looking away which made you angry at him
• "VIL!" this time you glared at him and let's admit you sometimes become scary when you're mad, vil looked at idia then he cracked an apology and also idia looked at malleus silently till he decided to speak.
• "Soooy~"
• Accepting the apology with a smile ,malleus started building another tower with idia and vil joined them for sure, it was a peaceful moment until kalim started feeling hungry, he began to cry but on hearing that baby riddle was sucking on a pacifier, he pulled it from his mouth and put it into kalim's to be calm for some time until you prepare something for them and also azul was on helping as he held a rattle with one of his octopus arms and started shaking it to draw kalim's attention.
• You hurred to the kitchen to prepare bottles and some snacks for the others, you gave the bottle to kalim first as the other two waited patiently, on another hand you prepared some mashed biscuits and melted them on milk and started feeding them to idia and vil (even i love to eat it! :D ) and gave some mashed food for malleus and leona.
• Sadly no one wanted to be by leona as they were sitting away from him, ot made him sad but he will never say this!
• It was story time as you brought a colourful book and started reading the story and even started acting for them, on noticing leona was always watching from a far you left the book by your side and went towards him and suddenly carried him from his back lifting him from the ground returning to your place you put him on your lap and continued the story again.
• On finishing the story they were all asleep and leona was the first to take the dream land train and slept on your lap from the middle of the story, you tucked the olders on the bed and put the youngers on the crib, and as kalim was sleep kicking, his feast was on riddle's face annoying him, you fixed kalim and covered azul who was pushing the cover away!
• ~ time skip~
• The headmaster found a way and returned them all back, yay!
• "I talked to the teachers and they don't mind giving you classes that you missed today! Just so you know how kind i am!" Said Crowley with a wide smile
• "Erm can't we just skip this?" Said kalim as they all seemed tired from the full day
• "Oh sure thing! Then how about (y/n) tell us some embarrassing stories about what you did today?" Said Crowley thinking with an evil smile
• "NO!" they all shouted running out of the room leaving only you and Crowley there
• "Won't you go with them?"
• "Nope! Didn't you say i don't have magic and i don't need classes? Close the door behind you!" You said collapsing on your bed tired from the tiring day

Over Time
Tumblr media
Commissioned by: @my-loves-18
Pairing: Shownu x Reader
Warning: Mentions of Violence, Angst, Smut
Word Count: 3.8k
"You're just jealous." Your best friend, Steph chuckles, nodding her head towards Shownu with his arm wrapped around a girl.
"Jealous of what exactly?" You scoff while rolling your eyes.
"Hey, Y/N." Shownu yelled from across the lawn. Despite you hating him and your assumed dislike he had for you, he still tried to get under your skin. Well not tried, succeeded. He enraged you, not made you jealous.
Pfft.
You may be a lot of things, but jealous was not one of them.
"You have to make a comment everytime you see him with a girl, or just see him in general, Y/N, and with me dating Wonho we're around him alot." She says.
You know she's right, but it's not like you dislike him for no reason. You had two, and to you they were very valid.
The first one, you hated the way he treated women. Every party you went to, his arm was wrapped around a new girl every time, when you'd see him out, he was with a new one. You'd heard plenty of girls crying in the bathroom after just seeing them together, and it wasn't hard for you to put two and two together. He was a typical frat guy, who did the typical frat guy thing of sleeping with a ton of girls and throwing them out after he was done with them. You didn't care if he slept with thousands, just treat them better.
The second thing that made you really despise him, was the fact that he dropped a beer on you at your first frat party of your Sophmore year and laughed while high-fiving his friends, leaving you completely embarrassed.
"Whatever, I'm not jealous. I have class." You say, giving her a small wave before walking away.
It was the first day of your junior year and you wanted this one to be the best one yet, since you knew next year was going to be your last.
You walk into your math class, scoping out the people you would be with for the next few months, when one person in particular caught your eye.
Kim Namjoon.
You had seen him around campus last year, and the immediate attraction you had felt for this man was powerful. He crossed your mind off and on all throughout the summer and you made a vow that you would talk to him if he was ever in one of your classes.
Taking a deep breath, you walk over to where he was sitting and clear your throat.
"This seat taken?" You ask Namjoon, sliding in beside him before he can even answer.
"No." He coughs, clearing his throat, and goes ahead. "Hi, I'm Namjoon." He says, holding his hand out for you to shake.
Oh you know.
"Y/N." You smile, excited to see what this year brings.
**
Over the next few days, you and Namjoon are unable to stop talking to each other. Your heart skips a beat everytime you see him, the butterflies in your stomach act up whenever you even think about him.
Was this love? Is this what it felt like? Because if it was, you were here for it.
However, everytime you interacted with Namjoon in any way, you felt like someone was staring at you, as if someone was burning holes in your back. Finally after a week, you got tired of it, turning around to see who had an issue.
Shownu sat there with his arms crossed, eyes staring right at you and Namjoon. You could see Namjoons face become frightened as he quickly looked away from Shownu, looking almost guilty.
"God that guy." You mumble, feeling annoyed.
"You know him?" Namjoon asks, avoiding eye contact.
"Kinda. Same friend group. My best friend is dating his best friend." You say.
"So you're not close with him?" Namjoon asks, looking relieved. You shake your head no, which makes Namjoon smile but for some reason, this smile felt different. It was cold and creepy, but you shrugged it off, not thinking too much into it.
Later that evening, you sat inside the frat house, gushing about your week with Namjoon to Sarah when Wonho and Shownu walked in the room.
"Kim Namjoon?" Wonho asked, sitting beside Sarah, wrapping his arm around her.
"The one and only." You chuckle.
"Careful with him. We've heard things." Shownu says, plopping down on the couch opposite of you.
"Pfft. What things?" You scoff, not believing him.
"His last girlfriend went missing, Y/N." Shownu says. "Just be careful." He finishes, standing up and walking towards the front door.
Your stomach dropped.
Was it true?
On Friday you woke up grumpy as all hell. Shuffling your feet down the hall, you enter the kitchen where Sarah stands, drinking a cup of coffee while you yawn largely.
"Late night?" She asks, pouring you a cup of coffee.
"Yeah, I don't know. What Shownu said to me was playing through my head, but I don't know if I believe him." You tell her.
"Just be careful. I don't have a good feeling." She tells you, with a sympathetic smile.
**
That weekend you spent your days not doing homework, no, you spent your time googling everything you could find related to Namjoon and his previous girlfriend and what you came up with was astonishing.
Nothing. You found nothing that linked Namjoon to any type of disappearance. You read about a young girl going missing, but Namjoons name was nowhere to be found. That was when you decided to not take anything Shownu had to say seriously. Clearly he enjoyed just fucking with you and making you panic.
**
Saturday night you went back to the frat house for a party, hoping to see Namjoon there, along with hoping that maybe, just maybe Shownu would sit this one out but to your luck, he didn't.
The moment you walked in, you felt a pair of eyes on you. Looking around you see Namjoon staring at you. You smile at him, walking towards him but something stops you, another pair of eyes, burning into your skin. Looking up you see Shownu staring at you, his eyes going in between you and Namjoon. He shakes his head no to you, telling you not to go over there. You roll your eyes, walking to Namjoon anyways. You didn't understand what Shownu's deal with you was. He only likes to crack jokes at your expense and taunt you, why was he acting like this now that you were interested in someone?
Sarah had told you it was because he was into you, but you couldn't believe that. There were no signs, he was always mean to you. Plus you did not like him at all. She was delusional, right?
"Y/N. Can I talk to you?" You hear from behind you. Shownu standing there, looking worried.
"No Shownu. Butt out." You sigh, walking away.
You ignored the nagging feeling in your stomach as you walked towards Namjoons extended hand, ready to see where the night took you.
**
Monday morning you walked into your classroom, a smile on your face that you could not shake. Your night with Namjoon had gone perfectly. The two of you had gone for a walk before going to get some ice cream and then sat at a 24 hour Cafe and just talked. You talked about everything, family,  friends, school, life. It was perfect and you were falling hard.
"Are you okay?" You hear, making you come out of your happy bubble.
"I'm fine why?" You ask, looking at Shownu with a blank stare.
"Just checking. Sorry." He mumbles, walking back to his seat as Namjoon glares at him, sitting beside you.
**
Over the next few weeks, your high of going out with Namjoon began to quickly dwindle into becoming scared of him. If you didn't call him back within two minutes he got very angry.
"Hey , sorry I was talking to Sarah." You laugh, the phone against your ear.
"Yeah sure. Probably fucking someone else like a whore." Namjoon spit.
"What? No, I was literally talking to Sarah." You whisper.
"Yeah, you better have been." He snaps before hanging up.
 If you ignored him, he showed up at your apartment.
Sunday night you heard a frantic knock at your door.
Knock
Knock
Knock
"Open up Y/N! I know your home!" He yelled through the door. You quickly unlocked the front door, Namjoon pushing his way inside. "Why are you ignoring me!" He yells. "Who's here!? Where is he? I heard shuffling. You're probably hiding him in the bathroom, aren't you?" He yells, storming to the bathroom.
"Im studying!" You say, pointing to your books scattered across the floor. "This is too much." You sigh. He apologizes after looking in the bathroom, the crazy in his eyes still lingering.
The two of you weren't even dating yet and he was very controlling and possessive and you didn't want it.
On Monday you sat at the opposite end of the classroom, away from Namjoon. You could feel his eyes burning into your skin. You turned around and saw Shownu staring at him, making sure he knew he was watching.
"Why didn't you sit with me?" Namjoon asked, grabbing your hand as you exited the room, pulling you to a corner.
"Look, I don't want to see you anymore. I'm done. Leave me alone." You say, walking away and feeling relieved.
With your head down, you continue walking down the hall, accidentally bumping into someone on your way. "I'm so sorry." You say, looking up to see Shownu standing there.
"No worries5." He smiles at you, making you smile.
"Look.. I'm sorry I've been butting in with you and Namjoon. The dudes just not right." Shownu expresses.
"I know. And I'm sorry for not believing you.. I told him I didn't want to see him anymore. He's scaring me." You tell him.
You're not sure why you were telling this to Shownu. Maybe it was the fact that he had been so nice to you, so concerned about you. You weren't sure.
"I'm glad you're okay." He says.
"I still don't like you." You mumble, beginning to walk away.
"Woah, woah, what did I ever do to you?" He asks.
"Seriously? The beer poured all over me?" You scoff. He laughs.
"That was an accident." He says. "It wasn't meant for you specifically, you just happened to be under there." He clarifies.
"Well I don't like the way you treat your conquests." You say, crossing your arms.
"My conquests?" He asks with a laugh.
"The girls you sleep with and the dump." You explain.
"Which girls are those? Because I haven't gotten laid in like 6 months." He laughs.
"Then why are you always with a different girl? Why are some of them crying after being alone with you?" You ask, crossing your arms.
"I do have friends that are girls. And when they're crying, it's usually because they're having issues with their own boyfriends." He chuckles. "Contrary to popular belief, I don't just fuck anything with two legs and a vagina." He tells you. "I only sleep with someone if I like them." He finishes, giving you a small wink before walking away.
Had you really been wrong about him this entire time? Hating hkm for something he wasn't even doing instead of giving him the benefit of the doubt. Honestly you felt a little shitty for the way that you had treated him all the time and assumed how he was acting.
Walking to your apartment, you don't feel the gaze of Namjoom on you, as he follows you, making sure you're heading there alone.
As you walk down the street, you can faintly hear the sound of footsteps behind you. You try to peek over your shoulder to see who's there, but you can't see anyone, only your shadow from the dimly lit street lights. Your stomach is in knots as you pick up your pace, just wanting to get home and feel safe.
You round the corner of your apartment, bolting up the stairs as fast as you can, noticing a figure behind you catching up. Your hands shake as you find the key and slide it into the lock, hoping you can make it before he reaches you.
You knew it was Namjoon. You knew he was pissed you wanted to end things, and he knew you were scared of him and he decided to use this to his advantage, knowing when you get scared, you get clumsy.
"Hi baby." He whispers in your ear, covering your mouth with his hand and pushing open the door to your apartment.
You were so close.
That evening Sarah had messaged you reminding you she would be out of town for the week with Wonho, visiting family.
"I remembered. But judging by the look on your face you forgot and hoped she would be home tonight. Sorry baby." Namjoon whispers, stroking your cheek. "So beautiful."
**
Wednesday.
[7:29pm] Hey Shownu, it's Sarah. Can you check on Y/N? It's been a few days and she hasn't responded to me. I'm worried.
[7:31pm] I'm on my way.
**
Shownu arrives at your apartment, his hand up ready to bang on the door, when he hears a voice. Pressing his ear to the door, quietly, he immediately recognizes the faint voice of Namjoon. You try to reply but he can only hear mumbles. You couldbt be tied up.. could you?
Shownu juggles back and forth for a minute, deciding what to do, and ultimately he decides to go for the safest bet. He walks away from your door, pulling out his phone to call his cousin, who just happens to be a cop.
"Hey Seo-Joon, it's Shownu. Look, I might be overreacting but…" he goes on to explain the situation and how he thinks you're being held against your will.
"Don't worry, we're on our way. Hang tight." Seo-Joon says, reassuring him.
A few minutes later, Seo-Joon, along with five other officers walk up the stairs, joining Shownu as he points to which apartment is yours.
The police count down before they break down the door, three men rushing in to tackle an unsuspecting Namjoon, who swore up and down everything was consensual, while you barely sat in a chair, rope burns around your wrist and ankles and torso, showing that you had been trying to escape, your body limp and bruise.
Shownu rushes towards you, untying you and holding you until the ambulance comes, riding with you to the hospital and not leaving your side for a minute.
Sarah and Wonho came home as soon as they could, Sarah feeling so guilty about leaving you, even though no one could have truly predicted this.
Namjoon had been arrested and was awaiting trial as you healed from the terrible experience. You were assured you would never have to see him again, as he was now also being looked at for the disappearance of his previous girlfriend.
As time went on, you and Shownu slowly became closer. He visited you at the hospital often, then when you were home, he practically lived in your apartment.
When you got better and started going out, he was always around you, if not beside you, he was close enough that if you needed him, you could call and he would hear you.
The second frat party you attended is where he kissed you for the first time.
You had excused yourself from the dance floor, feeling flushed and a little thirsty, you made your way to the kitchen for a drink. Shiwnu came in behind you asking you if you were okay and if you needed anything. You were leaning against the wall when he walked over to you, his body just barely pressing against yours.
"W-what are you doing?" You ask, your throat suddenly dry.
"Can i see something?" He asks. You nod your head yes, and he leans in for a kiss.
You melted.
He pulled away, smiled and walked away.
Oh boy.
 The next week, neither of you talked about what happened at the last party. However, that weekend you found yourself pinned against a wall, your legs wrapped around his waist as he aggressively slid his tongue into your mouth.
Shownu pulls himself away, letting you slowly slide down his body until you're level on the ground.
"Fuck." He groans, giving you a smile and a wink before walking back to the party. You were definitely starting to like him.
You had tried to ask him about it on Tuesday in class, and he told you to "just let it flow."
You weren't sure what he meant, so you left it alone and went on with your week.
That next weekend as you walked into the frat house, your body instinctively moved toward Shownu, but you decided you wanted a drink first. You smiled as tiu stared at the wall that just last weekend he had you pressed against.
"Whatcha smiling at?" Sarah asks, walking behind you to pour herself a beer.
"Ahh, nothing." You nervously chuckle. You knew she'd be happy for you, but honestly you didn't even know what the two of you were, if anything so why get excited over nothing?
You and Sarah took a few shots, getting nice and tipsy before heading to the dance floor. You were feeling a little sad you still hadn't seen Shownu. The song changed as the two of you walked over there. You began rolling your hips to the beat, your eyes finally meeting Shownu's. He lickdd his lips as he watched you dance, shaking your hips and ass, keeping eye contact with him.
When the song finished, you tried to get yourself another drink, but instead of making it to the kitchen, you found yourself being dragged up the stairs by Shownu.
He pulled you into the bathroom, closing and locking the door behind you.
"Can I help…" you began before being cut off by his lips.
"You are so sexy." He groans, his lips never leaving yours. He pushes himself against you, letting you feel his hard cock through his jeans.
"I want you." You moan, moving yourself so he will pick you up.
You wrap your legs around him as he moves you to the bathroom counter, sitting you down, never breaking the kiss, grinding his cock into your already wet clothes pussy.
Shownu parts your legs as he pulls your ass closer to the edge of the counter, gripping his large hands tightly to your thighs.
He drops to his knees, pulling down your panties licks, with your help. You both were thanking you for wearing a skirt tonight. Shownu places your legs over his shoulders, leaning you back to get better access. Bending down, he llicks a strip up your already sopping cunt,  causing shivers to trickle down your spine.
“Fuck” you groan as he latches his luscious lips to your clit, sucking harshly.
You move your hands to his head, gripping a fist of his hair as he flicks his tongue against your clit, while you grind your self in his mouth.
Shownu reaches his hand up, slipping under your shirt, cupping your breast before pinching your nipple, rolling it in between his fingers.
“Just like that” you cry out. "Fuck." You grunt your orgasm building.
Shownu flicks his tongue faster, switching between using his licking and sucking.
Your grip on him tightens as your orgasm comes closer, a few more long licks and you’re sent over the edge, letting out a string of cries and curses words as your body shudders, harshly grinding yourself against his face.
Shownu pulls away from you, licking his lips with a smile on his face.
You push him back, sliding off the counter before dropping to your knees.
Reaching up you unbutton his pants, yanking them down, along with his boxers, allowing his cock to spring free.
Your mouth waters as you stare at his large, thick cock, his red tip dripping with pre cum. You wrap your hand around his large shift before taking his tip in your mouth, sucking harshly, lapping up the cum.
"Damn baby." He groans, throwing his head back. You begin taking in as much of him as you can, moving your hand from in the way.
You gag on his cock as you deep throat Him, making him hiss in pleasure.
Taking him from deep in your throat, you twirl your tongue around his tip while pumping him at the same time.
"Holy fuck." He moans, not wanting you to stop. "If you wanna fuck, you're gonna have to stop." He cries.
You halt your movements, taking him from your mouth, before standing up and bending over the bathroom counter.
"Fuck me." You cry, shaking your ass for him.
You can hear Shownu groan as he watches you stand there, bent over, waiting for his cock.
"Gladly." He growls, lining himself up with your entrance before pushing himself inside you.
"Your cunt feels so good." He moans, thrusting in and out of you. Your hands grip the counter tightly, your fingertips turning white.
"Harder." You cry. Shownu pounds his cock inside of you, the sound of skin snapping fills the bathroom.
There's a knock at the door that shocks ykh both, but Shownu yells for them to fuck off, his orgasm building.
You rub your clit, your second orgasm coming on quicker than your first, taking no time to wash through your body, making you cry out.
"Shit im gonna cum." Shownu grunts, pulling himself out of you before pumping his cock to cum all over your back. "Fuck I'm sorry." He says, making you chuckle.
"Just loan me one of your shirts." You smile.
"Now that I can do." He says, grabbing your hand to take you to his room.
Later that week Shownu asked you to be his girlfriend, which you happily accepted. He had told you, he knew that over time you'd come around to be with him. And he was right.
**
It had been a few months and you had never been happier. You and Shownu were still going strong, and Namjoon was being held in prison. Life was actually really good, it felt like nothing could bring the tso of you down.
"Hello?" Shownu says, answering his phone. His face goes confused, putting his phone on speaker.
"Y/N." You hear, it's Seo-Joon.
"Oh, hi." You giggle.
"Look.. i don't know how to tell you this but Namjoon was released. The judge decided there wasn't enough evidence." He sighs.
Your body begins to tremble at the thought of Namjoon roaming the streets again. Just as you feel like you're about to cry, there's a knock at your door, and your stomach drops.

Me reflected in your eyes
Since it was so dark on the moon, Tim has no clue what Jonny looks like. When Jonny finds out one of his lovers survived, he is desperate to make sure Tim never finds the link, so that the other can’t become mad at him or blame him. But it is pretty hard to hide such things and Tim never blamed Jonny for a moment.
On AO3.
Ships: Tim x Jonny (x Bertie, but he’s already dead at the start of the fic)
Warnings: grief, low self esteem, mentions of war.
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was dark on the moon, this was not uncommon knowledge, but people sometimes didn’t realize to which extent that fact was true. The soldiers would get vitamin D supplements just to survive and most had no clue what their comrades looked like.
This was also true for Jonny and The Toy Soldier, this was great news for The Toy Soldier, since now less people realized how deeply unsettling the wooden soldier could be, but it was less then ideal for Jonny.
You see, Jonny had fallen in love on the moon.
Yes, the great Jonny d’Ville, known for his emotional constipation had found not one, but two people who loved him despite the ways he found himself to be lacking. Tim and Bertie had held him and told him how much they loved him, even if they’d never even seen his face.
Jonny both loved and hated this. On one hand, he was convinced the two would stop loving him the moment they saw him, but on the other hand, the not seeing made this little bit of joy last longer and prolonged the time before he would be rejected.
He knew he wasn’t that much of a catch, many people had told him his manic eyes could be unsettling and he was on the short side with a baby-face. Jonny never liked the way he looked and his personality also wasn’t winner material, but the two had loved him regardless of that.
It probably wouldn’t have lasted, though. Not that it matter now, the moon was gone and so were Tim and Bertie.
Sighing again he looked out of the window of the observation deck once more. The stars were peaceful and Jonny liked getting lost in them.
A small cough pulled him out of his thoughts and he turned to see Nastya. She looked uncertain, which made worry bubble up in Jonnys chest as he asked: “What’s wrong?”
“Uhm, well, you see, Jonny. Me and Brain were clearing out the docs lab and, uhm, there is a person there.” Nastya said.
“What?” Jonny exclaimed.
“I wouldn't have bothered you with it if he wasn’t halfway to mechanized and it seems unlikely we can reverse the process, but that’s not all…” Nastya trailed off, uncertain.
“What are you not telling me?” Jonny said in a vaguely threatening tone.
Nastya reached into her coat and pulled out a necklace as she said: “He had these hanging around his neck.”
Jonny stepped closer taking the necklace to inspect the dangling pieces of metal only to stumble backwards in shock, eyes wide, fear in his heart. It was not just a necklace, it were dog tags. Dog tags that read: Tim, G.
“It- it can’t be.” he said.
“I’m sorry, Jonny. I thought you would like to know.” Nastya told him, “I can complete the process or he can stay half-mechanized, but I don’t know what that will do to him long term. So far only me and Brian know, who he is and that he’s even here, if you’d like us to not tell the others or something, we will.”
“No one can know about this. Take me to him.” Jonny demanded.
In the lab Brian was organizing stacks of papers and clearing away most of the experiments that had been on display, in the center of the room there was a familiar examination table, with on it a prone form of a young man that Jonny recognized to be Tim from their short introduction at the Moon Kaisers throne.
“Are you okay, Jonny?” Brain asked worriedly, when he came strolling in.
“Do I look like I’m alright?” Jonny snapped at him as he walked over to the table, inspecting Tim closely. He was as pretty as Bertie always said he was, even with his face half open and full of metal. Jonnys heart clenched, Tim didn’t deserve this faith.
He carded a hand through Tims long hair and a small strained smile appeared on his face at the familiar sensation. He could feel Brian and Nastya looking at him, but he couldn't find the strength inside him to snap at them for it.
“How did she find him?” he asked softly instead.
“According to his file, she thought it was you in the little space shuttle, but no other details are known.” Brian answered.
A pang went through Jonnys heart, this was his fault. Carmilla had gotten her hands on Tim in an attempt to find him. It was his fault he would never be able to find Bertie in the afterlife, if that even existed, or find peace if it didn’t.
He swallowed heavily and asked: “Do you think you can successfully fix him up completely?”
“I mean, it would take a while and it might not be as seamless as other mechanizations, but I think I can figure it out with her notes.” Nastya told him.
Jonny thought about it for a moment. He looked at Tims ripped open face, then at the slow rise and fall of his chest.
“Do it, don’t tell the others who he is and don’t mention me to him.” it might be selfish, Jonny knew it was selfish, but seeing Tim, alive, he couldn't find it within himself to leave him like that. Tim might be angry, but that would only be once he made the connection, if Jonny just kept his mouth shut, he would be able to witness this, one of the loves of his life, being there, even if it was just out of reach.
With that Jonny turned around and left, only managing to keep up a strong facade until he was in the comforts of his room where he broke down crying, clutching the dog tags.
He stayed in his room for nearly an entire month. He was sure the others had caught on to the fact that something was wrong with him, but he didn’t care. Jonny had no time for Ashes asking if they needed to burn someone alive for him, or The Toy Soldier asking if he needed some tea or even Ivy asking if she could help him in some way.
What he needed was for Tim to be okay and not mad at him. He needed the other to know everything and tell him it wasn’t his fault. For Tim to hold him, like he had done so many times so that Jonny could just take a breath and not feel like the weight of his decision was crushing him and making him feel like he was going to break in two.
The only person he reacted to was Nastya, who knocked on his door and called out: “If everything goes to plan, he should wake up somewhere this week, I though you’d like to know.”
“Thank you. Have the other said anything?” Jonny asked.
“So far they think it’s the reality of the doc being gone that’s crashing down on you.” Nastya told him, “Me and Brian have not discouraged this.”
Jonny nodded even if Nastya couldn't see it. The silence between them hung heavily, until Nastya said: “I have to go now, please take care of yourself, Jonny. Aurora tells me you died too many times in there, I’m getting worried.”
“Piss off.” Jonny managed to push out of his throat, sinking back onto his mattress willing the world away as Nastyas footsteps disappeared down the hall.
About a month later Ashes was knocking at his door as they yelled: “Jonny, I’m fed up with your bullshit, I know everything sucks right now, but I don’t care that you don’t want to meet another one of her creations or something. This new guy needs everyones support, even your grumpy ass, so you better get out there and at least say hi.”
Jonny was quiet, so Ashes said: “He already knows there is another member he hasn’t met yet and he thinks you already hate him for no reason at all. Please, just push your own issues aside for a second.”
That made Jonny look up, the idea that Tim thought he hated him was enough for him to move. He stank like hell and looked a mess, however, so he knocked three times on the door.
“Alright, you get fifteen minutes, but I’m waiting here for you and I will blow up your door if you aren’t here by then.” Ashes said.
Quickly jumping into the shower and getting himself dressed, Jonny was done in ten. He probably still looked like he’d been beaten by the sandman in a bad way, but that couldn't be helped.
“There you are, I was kind of expecting the octokittens to have eaten you by this point.” Ashes joked, but Jonny wasn’t really in a mood for that, if even one person had slipped up and told Tim his name, he would be fucked.
Ashes seemed to catch on and said: “Brian and Nastya really pressed us to not mention your name to the new guy, I don’t know what happened, but he’s not so bad. I’ll respect it, only because I know you wouldn't fuck with another mech for no reason, but don’t be too hard on him, okay.”
Jonny nodded, lump in his throat. He was mentally prepping himself for what to even do when he met Tim. He couldn't talk or Tim would know, but staying silent would be weird.
Lost in his thoughts as he was, he missed getting to the room Tim was in until he heard Ashes say: “This is the latest guy.”
Then a familiar voice said: “Uhm, hello, I’m Gunpowder Tim, but most just call me Tim. No one mentioned your name yet.”
Looking up Jonny came face to face with Tim, his eyes were horrible, and faintly Jonny remember how Bertie used to wax poetry about them and he was sad he never got to see them, but still the beauty of Tim was overpowering.
Alive and standing he seemed more human. He was taller than Jonny had realized and in perfect proportion and when he smiled a shy smile, he could see that all his perfect teeth had survived his mechanization.
In short, Tim was gorgeous and Jonny had never felt less worthy.
If he had been planning on making any noise, it would have died in his throat. Instead he just stood there as silently as he had intended to be.
When the silent dragged on, Tim got more uncomfortable as Ashes raised a brow at him. They asked: “Are you gonna say anything?”
Jonny swallowed and opened his mouth, but nothing came out. He had no clue what to do, if he were to talk he would have to explain and he- he- he just couldn't right now. His mouth snapped closed and he stumbled backwards.
“Are you okay?” Tim asked and all the times he’d asked that after a battle flitted through Jonnys mind as he collapsed to the floor.
He could hear Tim ask Ashes what had happened, while Ashes sighed: “He’s not always the best mentally, I- I have no clue what set him off, but it’s not your fault. Could you be a dear and go see if you can fetch Nastya? Tell her the idiot is being himself again.”
“Yeah, of course.” and Tim ran off.
Ashes then turned to Jonny and crouched down as they asked: “Wanna tell me what the fuck happened?”
“I- I can’t- voice- it won’t.” Jonny stammered, unable to put in to words what was going on with him, as he broke down crying.
Right at that moment Tim returned with Nastya, if Jonnys vision hadn’t been clouded by tears he would have seen the guilty and concerned expression on Tims face. Nastya took in the scene and sighed: “Goddammit.”
“Come here, cowboy.” she told Jonny as she hoisted him up, “No use in giving Tim a guilt complex or something, you don’t want that right?”
Jonny shook his head and Nastya told Tim: “He’s in a bit of a strange head space right now, but I promise you that he is glad to meet you. Sometimes, words, you know? He will write you an apology when he’s up to it.”
She led Jonny away from Tim, hoping Ashes would be of some help on Tims end. The poor lad hadn’t had it easy since he woke up, with the sudden loss of everything he knew and the patch job of a mechanism shoved into his face. The fact that he was coping as well as he was, was frankly a freaking miracle.
Back in Jonnys room she said: “Okay, I know you probably weren’t there by choice, but he is on the edge of breaking. I feel like denial is what’s keeping him going right now, so you’re going to write a nice letter for him and stay out of his way for a while, alright?”
Mutely Jonny nodded, then he whispered: “Thank you, Nastya. Can you- can you keep an eye on him?”
“What do you think me and Aurora have been doing? I got your back, don’t worry about it, just try to figure out what the fuck you’re gonna do, because you’re not going to be able to hide this for forever. And it is going to be forever.” Nastya told him, before she walked out of the room.
That night Jonny spend hours bent over his little desk, fucking up his back in an attempt to get his messy ‘I-went-to-school-for-only-three-years-or-something-give-me-a-break’ handwriting into a neat and coherent apology/explanation:
Deer Tim,
My apologys for my urlyr behaver. I dont know what the others have told you about the crew before you came aboord, but it changed recently and I have been attemting to just work threw that. This has nothing to do with you, sorry.
I hope your ajusting well to this new life. And I hope we can become friends or at leest akwaintences at some point, because you seem like a okay guy.
I will attemt to carry a notebook with me, so that we can talk, because my voice is kind of fucked right now.
Hope this helps.
That would have to do, Jonny thought. It was both a good excuse not to use his voice and make Tim suspicious and it would hopefully make Tim feel better about everything, which had been the final goal.
The letter was nothing like Jonny wished he could say to Tim, nothing like the thousand of apologies that had played through his mind and the million ways he’d come up with to attempt to make things right again and be able to keep Tim close once more.
Jonny handed the letter to Nastya, who promised to hand it on, before he went on his day. He might be dealing with a lot right now, but so were the others and as First Mate, he should be there for them.
It actually went well, the others were getting by as good as possible and it felt good to have the weight that was Carmilla of their shoulders. Jonny was careful with speaking, always checking to see if Tim was near before opening his mouth, but it worked.
After that weeks passed by. Jonny saw Tim a total of three times and had manages each interaction without speaking or making Tim upset in any way.
Tim himself, however, was not doing so hot after a while. The reality of everything had finally caught up to him and he was using his newfound armory to let out his frustrations and anguish on a bunch of crates.
Jonny wanted nothing more than to go over and hug Tim, tell him that he felt his pain and that he missed Bertie too, but he refrained.
It was better to let Tim work through the grief without adding his own to it. It was better for Tim to not know that one of the people he had loved was responsible for what had happened to him. It was better to let him think Jonny was gone too and not have to come to terms with the betrayal.
Through Carmilla, Jonny knew firsthand how it felt to be betrayed by someone you trusted in this way and he wasn’t about to let Tim go through the same.
For about four months explosions and rage echoed through the halls, before it seemed Tim had worked through the anger stage. In that time Jonny had avoided him as much as possible, knowing he would be unable to stop himself if he were to see him.
Tims process was hard on the other members of the crew as well, but all had similar touches with grief and were used to staying quiet and out of the way of someones wrath.
When the raging stopped all had been walking on eggshells, waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it became clear after a while that Tim was now just lying in his room, not interacting with the world around him.
Aurora reported his first death of starvation a while later and it was decided that Brian should go up and check on him.
The Pilot came back a long while later to report that Tim had not noticed he died and thought he had fallen asleep and that Tim had freaked out a lot, before collapsing and saying he didn’t care anyway and had wrapped himself up in a bunch of blankets again.
It was about a year after Tim had been pulled aboard the Aurora that he had processed most of what had happened to him the best a mech ever would.
He made fast friends with Ashes and was often found in Brians company as well as rekindling his friendship with TS. He also tried to talk with Jonny, but Jonny wasnt quite ready for that yet and almost always shut down whenever Tim tried, leaving the poor gun-lover confused.
Jonny had come up with an infinite amount of ways to tell Tim it was him and explain what had happened, but none seemed good enough and every scenario he could come up with ended in Tim hating him.
Beside, it seemed like Tim had finally managed to get himself together and Jonny was determined to not be the one to pull him apart again.
But as Nastya had already said, he wasn’t going to be able to hide this forever and soon enough he found himself caught in a reveal.
Tim had obviously caught on to the fact that he didn’t like talking to him and that everyone referred to the First Mate with a moniker instead of his name, almost as if they were trying to hide something from him and he was confused about what.
He had gathered that Nastya and this mysterious guy were closest and had gone to her to ask what he had done wrong.
Jonny on the other hand considered Auroras engine room, also known as Nastyas safe space, as his own safe space. He’d go there to bitch and whine or to sit in silence comfortably, knowing she wouldn't ask and just offer a hug.
Today, he was coming in to annoy her, since she had been holed up for a week and Jonny had deemed that enough lack of social interaction. He threw open her door, not noting that there were two figures in there, and loudly yelled: “A normal person needs interaction and you had enough you-time with Aurora, lets bitch about life.”
Instead of the groan of annoyance he was expecting, he got a small gasp from Nastya, then a loud yell in an achingly familiar voice: “Jonny? It’s you?”
His eyes met Tims as they grew wide and in his momentary panic, he replied: “If I say no, will you believe me?”
“You- you- you survived? You’re- you’re immortal.” Tims voice broke.
Jonny swallowed, completely unequipped to deal with this. He stood frozen in place until Tim got up, at which point he turned around and got the fuck out of there, the whole situation making his head hazy with stress.
He locked his door behind him. Looking around his messy room, he decided that this was his new home for the rest of eternity now, because he didn’t think he was ever going to be ready to deal with that confrontation ever.
Alas he only got a full three seconds of peace before someone was banging on his door. It wasn’t hard to figure out who it was and his suspicions were confirmed when Tim called out: “Love, angel, darling talk to me. I know you’re in there.”
At first Jonny wanted to stay quiet, pretend he wasn’t in there, but the knocking and calling out continued, until it became weaker and weaker and Jonny could hear sobs from the other side of the door.
“Go away, please.” that had not been what he wanted to say, but Tim was still in shock and the moment he thought about it, he would be mad at Jonny and Jonny didn’t think his heart could take that.
Tim gasped, shocked. Then he heard a chocked back cry before Tims footsteps disappeared down the hall.
With Tim gone Jonny allowed himself to fully break down. This was it, Tim knew. Now he was shocked, but then he’d think about it and see how it was Jonnys fault this happened and he’d get mad at Jonny and take back all the times he’d told him he’d loved him, which were the only memories keeping his sane right now.
He would probably tell the others what happened and Tim was a sweetheart and incredibly precious, so who wouldn't be on his side and then they wouldn't want Jonny there and he’d be tossed out and on his own again.
Not that he didn’t deserve it, but it would still hurt.
Jonny didn’t know how long he sat there, but he was pretty sure he died of dehydration a few times and it felt like he had become one with the floor.
A loud knock startled Jonny out of the emotional blocked out trance he had been in and Ashes called out: “Oh my fucking god, Jonny, get you stupid ass out here now and go apologize to Tim and make things right or I swear to everything unpleasant that I will burn all your stuff.”
“What?” Jonny replied, startled.
He of course did not know that Tim had done nearly the same routine of locking himself into his room and crying, however, Tim had been more responsive to outside help and let Ashes in. He had told them everything and they had gotten pissed on his behalf.
You see, Tim had not interpreted everything as Jonny had feared, instead he had assumed that Jonny had never even loved him, but had seen him and Bertie as a little plaything that fell away compared to his immortal lifespan.
When Ashes heard this incredibly stupid explanation of events they had filled the blanks that had confused them about Jonnys behavior the past year and marched to his room to yell at him for being a dumbass.
“He thinks you hate him, go tell him you love him.” Ashes told him.
“What!” Jonny exclaimed, tugging open his door with a shocked face at the same time Tim came running into the hall: “Ashes, no, don’t-”
On the side of his face there was a little blood, it was clear that Ashes had killed him to get a head start to Jonnys room, but he still managed to look breathtakingly beautiful.
For a moment Jonny was speechless, open and closing his mouth helplessly while he waved his arm around meaninglessly. Then he swallowed and brokenly asked: “You really think that?”
“Think what?” Tim replied, sounding so vulnerable.
“Do you really think I hate you?” Jonnys eyes were full of heartbreak and his voice full of disbelief.
“Why are you acting like that’s such a weird conclusion, Jonny?” Tim asked him, “Why are you acting like you didn’t ignore me for a year and desperately tried not to have me find out who you were while I mourned you? While I was alone? I missed you, I needed you and you weren’t there.”
Jonny didn’t know what hurt more, the broken tone of Tims voice or the use of his name. Tim took so much joy in finding the sappiest petnames to use and Jonny had almost forgotten how his own name sounded in that voice.
Tear sprung in his eyes and he hardly noticed Ashes quickly backing away as he answered: “Because you should be hating me right now.”
Tim sighed, all the frustration and anger leaking out of him as he said: “Why do you always think that you’re to blame? We tried so hard to tell you how worthy you are, why do you always do this to yourself?”
The tears now really started to fall as Jonny fell to his knees, sobs tearing from his throat. He didn’t know why he always blamed himself, it just always seemed so logical that he was the thing that messed everything up.
He was just babbling, apologizing over and over again when Tims knees appeared through the watery haze of tears and two arms wrapped around him.
Tim pulled him close and kissed his temple as he rocked him back and forth every so slightly, like all the times Jonny had had a nightmare in the trenches. He whispered into his hair: “It’s okay, it’s alright, love, just let it out. I’m not mad at you, I still love you.”
Jonny was barely able to form words, but his mind clamped onto how important it was that Tim knew how much he loved him as well, so he chocked out: “I love you too, so so much.”
The arms around him squeezed him for a moment and Tim brokenly told him: “I know, dear, I know.”
They could’ve sat there for eternities and not have noticed with how lost they were in one another, just glad to have the other safe in their arms. They might be missing someone, but at least they could bear that heartbreak together, at least they weren’t alone, not again.
Never again.
Big Hero 6
Tumblr media
This time I come with a Big Hero 6 fanfic because I'm in the mood for this guys. Also I'm trying with (Y/N) because I couldn't find a good name for this one and you could imagine her/him whatever you want. I just love this movie and I hope you enjoy this!
Starting a new life it's always hard. You only had twelve years when your dad came to home with the news: "They give me the job!" You celebrated with your parents, both happy and excited, and you were happy because they were happy -you didn't had any idea what those words implied.
The first few weeks were very hard, unpacking and accommodating but luckily your parents made the job easier for you; music and laughs sounded throughout the house. Then, the day you were finishing painting the living room, the only place in the house that hadn't yet suffered your artistic attack with the brush, someone knocked on the door. You peeked down the hall without caring that there was paint all over your clothes, face and hair to see how your two parents opened the door to a stranger. That woman introduced herself as Cass Hamada and had brought her nephews to introduce herself to the new neighbors. It was weird. Where you lived, the neighbors ignored each other or yelled at each other because they annoyed each other.
One of this woman's nephews was your age, with messy black hair and a gesture of discomfort as if he preferred to be somewhere else. The other, the one who caught your young and easily impressionable heart, was tall, probably older than seventeen, wearing a baseball cap and preventing his little brother from running away from the situation. Still, no one was surprised that your parents were two men. One of them, the one who had gotten the job as journalist and for whom you had moved to that city turned to the hallway looking for you.
-We have a (girl/boy) your age, Hiro -said the one who hadn't turned.
-Wow, Hiro! An opportunity to make friends! -Mrs. Hamada was excited.
-It has to be around here... (Y/N)!-yelled the one turned.
You hid yourself and took a look in the mirror; it was when you realized how you looked. Your head was a chaos of negative thoughts and your hands tried to fix your hair. Your father shouted your name again and you took a deep breath, your two parents didn't mind going out with a paint mess, you shouldn't care either. Gathering all the confidence you were capable of, you went out into the hall and let them see you. Hiro looked annoyed, Tadashi just smiled and Mrs. Hamada looked like she was about to jump out of excitement.
-Aren't you the most adorable thing in town? -smiled Mrs. Hamada- Hiro, say something.
-I don't wanna to say anything -said Hiro crossing his arms.
-Then I'll say it -said Tadashi, bending down to be at your height- Hi, I'm Tadashi. This is my aunt Cass and he is the stupid, grumpy and immature of my brother -Tadashi was still smiling, although Hiro was complaining behind him, and extended his hand towards you- How are you?
In that moment you decided that Tadashi was the perfect boy.
From that day on, you became inseparable from the Hamada. They lived across the street and you always had fun being at their home. When you couldn't get out of your house because you were sick or punished, Tadashi made funny gestures out of his bedroom window -which looked at yours- while Hiro just looked at you wrongly or stuck his tongue out at you.
Trying to be friends with Tadashi was very easy, he was a person with whom you could talk about all subjects and who never laughed at your concerns. When you turned thirteen, a classmate invited you to the movies -your first date- and your response was to run to the Lucky Cat Cafe and tell Tadashi while you were dying of shame because Hiro was laughing at you.
Trying to be friends with Hiro was something else. Hiro was only interested in robotics and robo-combat and building robots. It was boring. The worst thing of all is that Tadashi started university and almost all his free time was spent at the university or working on his project so you had to spend time with Hiro. Now the routine was go to the Lucky Cat Cafe when finish class, grab some candy and interrupt Hiro in anything he was working on until Tadashi came home and played with you or your dads came to pick you up, whichever was earlier. Sometimes you stayed in his room or in the garage with Hiro while he worked and you did homework, both in silence until you had a doubt and Hiro tried that you find the answer by you alone because you wouldn't learn anything if he simply gave it to you.
The days went by while Hiro graduated from high school and rubbed it in your face, Tadashi continued to be an older brother to you, Aunt Cass prepared her delicious sweets, one of your dad entered as a professor at the University of San Fransokyo and the other entered as a journalist in one of the most important newspapers in the city. Things were going well.
The holidays passed quickly, Tadashi spent a lot of time in his laboratory, Hiro ignored you while working on his new robot and your young person of fourteen fantasized about Tadashi who was now your great crush.
-You know you will never be together, right? -said Hiro without looking at you.
-Excuse me? -you stopped sketching Tadashi's face on you notebook. You recently discovered that painting was one of your qualities and that you really enjoyed drawing everything you saw.
-Nothing, don't worry -he said with that tone that he always uses to make others believe that he doesn't care but you knew very well that he was dying to say something else.
-What do you know about this things?
-He is four years older than you, it is silly that you continue with that.
-It is none of your business if I have a crush for your brother.
-You are wrong about that. My favorite activity is seeing how you look at Tadashi, really expecting him to notice you like that. Do you know that that would be pedophilia? But what do I know about these things?
Finally, Hiro turned his chair to look at you with his sly smile plastered on his face until he saw your pained-angry expression and realized that you were about to cry. You ran out of there without saying a word, Hiro screaming your name running after you, you almost collided with Aunt Cass before leaving and crossing the street to go up to your house. You didn't open your bedroom door even to Tadashi when he came to see what had happened between you and Hiro. After three days without showing up at the Hamada's house, Hiro tried his luck with a drone that carried a message for you. At first, you were surprised to see that weird robot but when you looked behind it -towards Hiro's window- you saw the boy with the drone controls and with a nervous smile on his face. You shot him an angry look and closed the curtain, which didn't open all week.
One night after dinner, Aunt Cass appeared at your house, your dads were trying to calm her in the living room, she seemed about to break. Apparently, Hiro had disappeared and Tadashi had gone looking for him, Aunt Cass thought he would be here with you but he wasn't there -she didn't know that you and Hiro had fought. You sat with your parents in the living room, waiting for news from Tadashi while Aunt Cass was debuting the cookies your parents had brought, a feeling of anguish tightening your chest. Then Aunt Cass received a call from the police station and ran to find her nephews, your parents sent you to bed, it was very late and you had class tomorrow but you couldn't sleep: when Aunt Cass's car appeared on the street, you stuck to your bedroom window to see how the Hamadas were arguing with each other before entering the house. You sighed in relief to see that Hiro was safe and reacted late when the light in the brothers' room came on. Hiro had sat at his computer and looked out the window -out of habit- and saw you there with a worried face. He gave you the most sly smile and you show him your middle finger before closing the curtains again. Now you could sleep.
When missing your friends won over your pride, you showed up in the Hamada's garage to see Hiro and Tadashi very focused on something they were working on, Tadashi first became aware of your presence and gave you one of his kind smiles before leaving you with Hiro to fix whatever had happened between the two of you. Hiro was very bad asking for forgiveness and talking about feelings but you were honest with him; you told him that in your old city you didn't have many friends, so Tadashi behaving so well with you was a great change for you. You also told him that you weren't in love with Tadashi, not really you thought, you were in love with the idea of Tadashi: an attentive, smart and funny boy who cared about making you feel welcome in his house because he knew you didn't know anyone and you needed friends. You ended up accepting Hiro's apology and hugging him even though he had never liked this kind of display of affection.
But he also hugged you.
Now you were in context; Tadashi showed Hiro his university and introduced him to his friends and Hiro had marveled at everything and was now trying to carry out a huge project to let him study there as well. You also met Tadashi's friends since they started coming to the Hamada's house to cheer Hiro and help him advance his project, you became good friends with Honey Lemon and Fred, you even went to eat with all of them because they invited you. Your parents were concerned that your friends list was practically much older than you but they couldn't say that they were a bad influence on you, quite the opposite actually. While Hiro was developing his project, you kept him company simply by being there with him; you talked to him about how the classes had gone, who you had a fight with, which teacher you thought was against you because you didn't pass the last exam and you drew. You spent hours talking and talking while you drew. Sometimes Hiro would go for hours and hours without answering and you thought he wouldn't listen to you and you were silent but then he interrupted his work and asked you what happened next. You smiled broadly at him and kept telling him the story. Sometimes he would ask you for help with the most important task; give him gummy bears. He would leave his mouth open and you would put the sweets.
Until the day you fell asleep at the Hamada's garage. It wasn't planned, you were really having fun with Hiro throwing gummy bears to his mouth and sketching Hiro's hands while he worked. At some point in the night Hiro realized that you had fallen asleep in the couch over your sketches but didn't wake you up, he looked for a blanket and put it on you before continuing to work. The next morning the laughter of the others woke you both up, Tadashi had taken a picture of you both sleeping together in the couch and Fred was starting to sing a song about you two sitting under a tree. From that day on, the atmosphere between you and Hiro changed. You wouldn't know if it was your negative reaction, the panic on Hiro's face or the fact that Hiro shouted that you liked Tadashi, you only knew that that day you felt very bad, a pressure in your chest that you wouldn't know how to define. Tadashi went to talk to you and you both sat down on the stairs in front of your house to talk; he told you that he was honored to have been your first love but he also told you that he felt bad for being the first to break your heart. You, to Tadashi's relief, told him that you weren't in love with him. You confessed that you didn't understand your own feelings but it was true that you took references from him for the idea of your type of boy: cool, smart and who cares about your well-being. He said, mysteriously, that you would end up realizing it. What did you have to realize? You had no idea and Tadashi wasn't going to make it easy for you. The Hamadas were obsessed with you learning by yourself.
-I thought you promised to keep my secret -you said entering the Hamada's garage- I thought you were my friend.
Hiro was sitting at the computer but his head rested on his hands and his elbows on the table, he seemed to be overwhelmed by something. When he turned to see you, it looked like he hadn't slept in days.
-I'm your friend, (Y/N).
-Friends keep secrets.
He signed, seemed really bad.
-Is the idea of dating me so bad?-you didn't know where those words came from but once they were said there was no going back. The tension between you two seemed to increase.
Hiro mumbled some things you didn't understand before sighing again and running a hand through his hair.
-What did you said? -you asked a little more abrupt than you intended.
-Can we become friends again?-he repeated a little louder- I miss you...
Something inside you stirred restlessly and perhaps it was his pleading look or that you missed your friend but you ended up smiling defeated. This time it was Hiro who hugged you, whispering another apology.
The day before the convention where Hiro was supposed to prove himself to Callahan, you spent the evening trying to calm Hiro who was on his nerves pacing from one side of the garage to the other checking that everything was perfect. Since it was an impossible task, you let him be while you made new sketches in your new sketchbook. So you spent several hours until Tadashi appeared and stood next to you to see your sketches.
-You never cease to amaze me with every drawing, (Y/N).
-Miss Trainor has taught me to focus more on how light moves -you commented absentmindedly looking at Hiro to erase a line from your sketch and draw it again.
-What are you drawing? -Hiro asked coming closer to look too.
You panicked for a few seconds and closed the notebook. This had been going on for a couple of weeks; when you started drawing you showed all your sketches, then when you started drawing Tadashi it didn't bother you that Hiro saw you draw but lately when you drew Hiro you didn't let him see your sketches. A feeling of urgency and shame arose within you every time he asked to see your notebook.
-Why can Tadashi see and I can't?
At Hiro's insistence that he was beginning to get upset and your denials that you were starting to get angry, Tadashi ended the discussion.
-Because I am a human being who stays neat and rests well. Have you seen your face? Did you even take a shower yesterday? What impression will you make tomorrow if you fall asleep in your own talk?
Embarrassed, Hiro fled to shower, slamming the door behind him. You and Tadashi laughed at the situation and then he started to go over the same details that Hiro had been perfecting.
-You care about him a lot -you said, storing your things in your shoulder bag.
-He is my little brother, for me it is natural to worry -he shrugged his shoulders closing one of the containers of microbots.
-I'm jealous... You have each other. I am always alone at home when my dads aren't around.
-You have us, (Y/N) -Tadashi approached you and put a hand on your shoulder and gave you that smile that was reserved for Hiro- You are one more and you know it.
-Thanks, Tadashi.
You hugged Tadashi with all your might, partly because you didn't want to cry and that he called you corny, and partly because you wanted to show him how grateful you were for accepting you into his family. After you broke up, Tadashi asked you to come upstairs to check that Hiro had showered and to see if you could get him to get some sleep, he was going to finish the last checks.
In other circumstances you wouldn't have minded entering Hiro's room without calling and yelling at him to do what Tadashi had asked but now every step that brought you closer to the room made you blush more. For some reason it took a lot of courage to knock at the wall to advise him that you were there, to your relief, a freshly showered and already dressed Hiro peeked down to see who was there.
-Since when do you knock? -Hiro asked, yawning and stepping aside to let you in.
-Since when do you not sleep?-you changed the subject bluntly but Hiro didn't seem to care.
-As the date gets closer I find it harder to sleep -he confessed with a shrug- I review things in my head all the time, I want it to be perfect.
-You will be better off if you rest properly - you scolded crossing your arms.
-I can't, okay? I can't sleep. Does it matter? My technology will speak for me.
-Of course it matters! Ugh. Sometimes you're impossible.
Full of rage and without saying another word you took Hiro's hand and dragged him to bed, laying you down with him. Hiro was a chaos of stammering, complaining and blushing but you imposed yourself and forced him to lean his back against the bed, you ordered him to close his eyes and you stayed with him looking at the ceiling. After a few minutes Hiro opened his eyes and turned his head towards you to tell you that he was still not sleeping. You completely turned around and looked at him angrily.
-I will stay with you until you fall asleep.
And he didn't try anything to make you leave.
The next morning both Hiro and you had to put up with comments from Tadashi, Fred, Gogo... Even Aunt Cass made a comment!
One of your dads as a professor at San Fransokyo University was helping to organize the event and the other had to be there to do an article about the event for the newspaper so Aunt Cass offered to take you with Hiro and Tadashi. Even you could see perfectly well that Hiro was pretending not to be nervous when he was actually about to have an attack so you spent most of the way holding his hand to cheer him up. You gasped when the convention doors opened and it had to be Hiro who pulled your hand in order for you to move forward. Before everyone scattered around the room to hand out the containers that guarded the microbots that Hiro had built, Honey Lemon took a selfie of the group where, to your surprise, it was Hiro who pushed you into a surprise hug so in the photo you came out looking at Hiro, smiling and if you looked closely you were a little flushed. After that you were going to go with Aunt Cass to wait for Hiro's exposition turn, but Hiro didn't let go of your hand.
-All right, bro. This is it -said Tadashi trying to bump fists with Hiro but he was distracted- Come on! Don't leave me hanging -Tadashi looked at me and then to Hiro to realize that Hiro was worried- What's going on?
-I really want to go here -he said frankly at the time he squeezed your hand.
-Hey, you got this -reassured Tadashi putting a hand on his shoulder.
Hiro looked at you one last time before releasing your hand and walk to the scenario. Tadashi and you shared a worried look but he put his arm around you and took you with him searching for aunt Cass, your two dads and the gang: they actually found the best place where they could see Hiro but when people started noticing Hiro exposition and they started to approach to see better you were too small to see through them so Wasabi sit you on his shoulders. Hiro started shyly and you thought he was so cute when he started talking with new confidence. That was the Hiro you knew and you were so proud of him. The exposition finished and you were left behind with aunt Cass and your parents and when you did it to where Hiro and the gang was, a men was already leaving them and you freaked out that this men was Alistar Krei from Krei Tech and Callahan was giving Hiro his acceptance card. Hiro seemed so freaked out and you take advantage to run and surprise him with a big hug.
-That was amazing! Why did you so much drama last night?
-What happened last night? -asked Fred with that tone that made you and Hiro blush and broke the hug.
-Nothing you should care -you crossed your arms and frowned to him.
Your parents called you and you thanks them for that, perfect timing. They told you that they should stay for the party because of their job so you had to go with the Hamadas, that didn't bother you and you found the gang going out the building. Actually, Hiro and Tadashi were leaving behind after a big hug from aunt Cass.
-Eh, where's going everyone?
-They're over there, we'll meet them at the cafe -answered Tadashi with his big smile.
-Aren't you coming?
-I want to talk with Hiro, would you save us a place with you in the cafeteria?
You smiled to Tadashi, nodding, and them looked at Hiro to hug him again.
-That was really amazing, Hiro.
He hugged you too and broke when Tadashi took a photo of you hugging.
-I'll send this to everyone!
You simply blushed again but Hiro started to chase his brother yelling at him. Laughing, you tried reach the gang at the parking but then you heard people yelling and when you noticed it the exposition building was on fire. You were so worried about your dads that you started running without care if aunt Cass shouted you don't. Your two dads were good, they could go out the building fine but then, the building exploded and when you looked you could see Hiro at the ground yelling Tadashi's name. Either your two dads could stopped you when you run to him, you stumbled and skidded on the floor in your way but you made it to him and took his face so he could look at you.
-Hiro, where's Tadashi? What happened!? Are you listening me!? What happened!?
But he didn't tell you anything. In fact he didn't tell you anymore since that day. He closed up to you, to everyone, and didn't care if there were people worried about him. You didn't know what you could do or say, your dads insisted that you only had to be there for him but you felt like you weren't welcomed in his room anymore. You tried a lot but you couldn't reach him and the person who you go when you need advice wasn't there anymore. It was frustrating and you were almost depressed as Hiro but you thought you had to be strong for Hiro and Tadashi so you still go to school and then to the Lucky Cat Cafe, you went to Hiro's room and helped him with cleaning and trying to get him out but he didn't want you there. You still trying showing him a new painting you did in Art Class but he didn't care. You thought that painting was horrible anyway, since Tadashi's death you didn't draw anything good. When it was time for you to go to your house, Aunt Cass hug you and said that you were doing good, but you didn't believe it. Took you a few weeks to stop trying. You didn't know what to do either the gang didn't have any idea.
And then, one night, your phone ring with a message from Baymax. You didn't remember what a Baymax was but the message said that Hiro needed you so you didn't hesitate, you dressed up and were careful to not wake up your dads, crossed the street and stopped when a car park next to you. Wasabi, Gogo, Honey Lemon and Fred were there, and all of you saw how Hiro with a big armored thing escaped to the streets. Gogo take you on the car and Wasabi drives following Hiro to the bay where they were spying something. He freaked out when all of you go out from the car.
-Dude, what are you doing out here? -asked Wasabi saying what everyone was thinking.
-Nothing! Just out for a walk. Helps my pubescent mood swings.
-Pubescent? -you asked as he was regretting said that.
-You have to go! -Hiro yelled at all of you stopping the questions about Baymax.
-No, don't push us away again, Hiro. We're here for you -said Honey Lemon- That's why Baymax contacted us.
-Those who suffer a lost, require support from friends and loved ones -said Baymax- Who would like to share their feelings first?
You looked at Hiro crossing your arms, after all those days without say nothing he were here playing around? You were angry and Hiro could feel that. And just when Fred was starting sharing his feelings a kabuki masked man with Hiro's microbots tried to throw you a container but Baymax stopped it. All of you run to the car but Gogo had to took Hiro because he was this stupid that he was staying there. Once in the car, Baymax broke the car ceiling with his butt so Wasabi drives you out of there.
-Hiro, explanation. Now! -said Gogo.
-He stole my microbots! He started the fire! I don't know who he is!
-And you were trying to go for him you alone!? -you freaked out taking him from the arm- You're crazy!
The whole chase took all over the town, Fred freaking out about this Kabuki man was a super villain, Honey Lemon stay at the positive part and Gogo lost all his patience and sit in Wasabi's legs to drive. Baymax saved Hiro's life and you were about to suffer a heart attack almost at every turn. Honey Lemon and you hugged while the car fell at the water and Baymax take all of you out of there.
-I told you we'd make it! -said Honey Lemon.
-Your injuries required my attention. And your body temperatures are low -said Baymax.
-We should get out of here -pointed Hiro.
-I know a place -Fred was so strange again.
While Fred took you to his house, Hiro looked at you with a feeling you couldn't say what was but you frowned at him and hugged Honey Lemon looking some warm. Fred house was ridiculously big and any of you could believe it was Fred's house. The conversation with the gang ended up suspecting about Alistair Krei was that Kabuki man, Hiro was so strange when he said he would upgrade all of you and you all agreed that someone had to catch the one who started the fire where Tadashi died. All of them worked on what skills they have and you heard them on the design on theirs suits, Hiro was the last word on the design because only him knows what he can do on his lab and you feel like old times. It was refreshing and inspiring and the fact that Hiro and you could talk again was the best part. And when everybody had their suit you looked at Hiro waiting for yours.
-What are you looking at? -he laughed a little nervous, you even said he blushed.
-Where's my suit? -you were so excited about it, you can't wait.
-Oh, your suit -Hiro didn't look at you, he was evading your eyes- I didn't do it.
-What? We were working on it! You said... -and then you realized it- You don't want me here.
-What? (Y/N) That's not true.
-You're pushing me away, again -he tried to denied it but you cut hum- You did this all the time! Why I still believing in you?
-(Y/N), I don't... You don't understand.
-I understand everything. You just were my friend because of Tadashi -you can feel tears forming on your eyes and your voice broking- You don't want to be my friend anymore?
-I don't said any of that! You're getting me out of context. Let me explain...
He tried to approach to you but you pushed him away from you and hugged yourself.
-No! I don't want more lies! I tried everything, Hiro, to cheer you up but you ignored me and when I thought we started being friends again... I don't want you to hurt me anymore.
You were crying now and Hiro looked terrible because of that, he didn't know what to do to calm you and was looking around to think something.
-I... I didn't want to hurt you.
-I wish Tadashi were here, not you.
You know from the moment those words escapes from your mouth that you will regret that forever. Hiro looked hurt first and then angry.
-Get out of here! I don't want you in my house! Never!
-I hate you! -you shouted leaving the garage but you could heard Hiro's last words.
-I wish aunt Cass never took us to your house! I wish I never met you!
That words hunted you all day and night. Your parents didn't know why you spend those days crying in your room, you were hurt and heartbroken and you knew perfectly that you have the fault. Also you knew that Hiro and the gang were busy with that Kabuki man so you thought you shouldn't bother them. You were alone, again, and you thought you deserved it. You received a message from Honey Lemon telling you to call her and when you did it, you were surprised.
-And Hiro just left you there?
-Don't worry, Fred called Heathcliff to pick us but we're worried about Hiro. Could you check if he's at his house?
-I don't know if I should... He don't want me there anymore.
-Look, I don't know what happened between Hiro and you -that was Gogo voice- But I know something about you. You two are the best friends I've ever seen, ok? And no matter what problem you have between you, you are always there for each other. Ok? So go there and check him because he wasn't himself and he needs you even if he didn't know it yet. Got it?
-But...
-Stop whining. Woman up -she said before hanging up.
At that moment you heard a noise at the street and saw how Hiro and Baymax landed and went to the garage. You took all the courage you have and send a message to Honey Lemon "I got him". When you reach the garage you were hesitant until you heard them.
-Yes! No! I don't know! Open you access! -that was Hiro's voice.
-Is this what Tadashi wanted? -and that one was Baymax's.
-It doesn't matter!
-Tadashi programed me to aid and...
-Tadashi's gone!
You were crying when you stopped hiding and called him.
-Hiro?
-(Y/N)? -he was crying too.
Neither of you moved, just stare at each other in silence. Then Baymax said:
-Tadashi's here.
-No -mumbles Hiro looking at the floor- He's not here.
Then Baymax started to reproduce a video about Tadashi building Baymax and his failed tries. He was so optimistic, and excited and tired but he never give up. You were crying again at the sight of your friend and approached to Hiro who was looking at him too.
-Oh, man. Wait till my brother and (Y/N) see you. You're gonna help so many people, buddy. So many. That's all for now. I am satisfied with my care.
The video stopped with the image of Tadashi smiling and Hiro took his hand to his brother face.
-I miss him -he said.
-Me too -you whispered looking at him- He was like a brother to me.
-He was my best friend -he didn't looked at you.
-I know... And you're mine -you surprised him and now he looked at you when the image switch off- And I hurt you and I know I said things and I am so sorry for that. I was so frustrated and upset and only thinking on me but you were suffering too and... -you stopped yourself because you were crying so much that you can't speak.
-I'm sorry too. I should talk to you before but I was scared that you would be angry with me and... -he signed- I don't regret aunt Cass forced me to go to your house to meet you, (Y/N). Actually I'm grateful.
-I... Do-don't hate you -you said between cries.
Hiro smiled at you and hugged you and you cried in his arms.
-Those who suffer a lost, require support from friends and loved ones -said Baymax.
You both laughed at this and break the hug to look at each other.
-I didn't build you a suit because I don't want you get hurt. I was trying to protect you because I can't lose you too, (Y/N).
-I understand now -you nodded smiling but then punch his arm- Next time, talk to me! Got it? I'm here for you, you stupid genius butt!
-I don't get it -he rubbed his arm- I'm a genius or a stupid?
-You're impossible!
-But you love me!
He started tickling you and you hopped he didn't notice your blush or at least think it was for the laughs.
-I knew you'll make it -Gogo voice stopped both of you.
-The all team again! -celebrate Fred.
They show you a video that they get on that spooky island and then explain to you what you discovered there. Callahan was that Kabuki man and he was taking revenge of his daughter.
The gang prepared for his next move and you helped them, givin to Gogo her bubblegum, her bag to Honey Lemon and when Hiro took his helmet you took it from his hands.
-You're gonna be careful, right?
-I promise -he smiled to you and you believe him so you put him his helmet.
-I'm trusting you, Hiro. Just come with me again.
-I will always come to you, (Y/N).
He seemed like he would say something more but Wasabi called him so he smiled at you one more time and went with the guys. You were left on the garage and use Hiro's computer to use the satellites that Hiro had hacked when he was working on Baymax scan to see what was happening. You were so proud of then when they make it to trick the bad guy and left him without the microbots. But when you saw Hiro and Baymax going on that weird portal thing you freaked out and couldn't take it anymore more. You run to your house, it was your dad free day but you needed him.
-Dad! I know it's your free day but I know where you can get a big new.
-What are you talking about?
-I'm talking about the biggest new your newspaper have never seen. Believe me.
And he believed you so he take you on his car to Krei Tech just in time to see Hiro getting out that portal thing. Your dad started to interrogate to Krei and Callahan and the police and ambulance were starting to park so you take advantage of that to run to Hiro without anyone noticed it.
-Hiro! -you jump to hug him- You made it! You came back.
-I... I promised you, didn't I?
He hugged you with a arm but he sounded sad so you looked around and that's when you noticed it.
-Where's Baymax?
He just looked at the ground without answering.
-We need to take you out of here.
The gang hides away and Heathcliff took them away while you came back with your father.
After a few days things went to normal or at least as normal as they can be. Hiro went to university with the guys and you were so proud of him while you still were going to high school but now you pass all the afternoon and evening with them at the university, Fred said you were the new pet of pet's university and you didn't complain him because it was funny. And then one day Hiro came running to the gang with a chip in his hand: it was Baymax's chip, the original! And he was so excited about it so you help him with whatever he needed, even if was only giving him gummy bears.
-I think I get it! -shouted Hiro waking you up from his desk.
You fall asleep on your sketchbook again. Since Tadashi's death you didn't draw anything good but now Hiro helped you drawing again. He worked with you and now you didn't care that his head suddenly appeared on your shoulder when you were drawing, in fact you blush and feel this weird thing because he was so close to you.
-What? -you rubbed your eyes approaching to Hiro.
-Let's try! Ow?
With that, the robot go out his container and said:
-I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion. Hello, Hiro.
He was so freaked out that he jumped and screamed. You both were celebrating til Hiro took you by your arms and kissed you. On the lips. Your lips just touched but that was enough. He pushed himself away, blushing hard and mumbling excuses while you were so surprised that you didn't do or said anything.
-(Y/N)? I'm sorry? We can forget about this if you want.
That's when you wake up and blinked looking him like he was an alien.
-You're crazy? -you were blushing while you speak- There's no way I'm forgetting my first kiss. Furthermore when I like it.
-You did? -he smiled his eyes full of hope and excitement again.
-I like you.
-You do?
-Stop asking, you stupid brain of circuits...
You have more things to say to Hiro but he interrupted you with another kiss and then smiled you with that sly smile that you really loved.
-I knew you loved me.
-No, you didn't, you little bastard.
-You're spending so much time with Gogo -he laughed while you throw your tongue to him just for him to catch your mouth with a deepened kiss- I love you.
You blushed abruptly because of the kiss and his words.
-I... I said I like you -you mumbled.
-I know but I love you since last year -he simply said with his sweet smile- That's why I was so mean with you. I was jealous of Tadashi.
-You're a weirdo, you know?
-But you love me, just you don't realize it.
You were feeling that thing again, the blush doesn't go away from your face and you suspected Hiro was delighted with that fact.
-I'm going to kill you.
-Death is a thing I can't take care of-said Baymax pointing with his hand.
-It's just an expression, buddy-answered Hiro, smiling.
-Don't be so sure about that.
Oh, Baby
Summary: Your lie leads to a fight which leads to a silent treatment and a very interesting hockey game.
Player: Colton Parayko
Word Count: 3.5k
Requested: Can i request a fic with colton where he and y/n fighting or having an argument but he has to leave for the road trip the next day so you don't have time to apologize then when you want to call him to apologize turns out he calls you first? I really like all your fics! Bur really love the colton ones! Good job!
You sat on the bathroom floor staring blankly at the wall with the test grasped loosely in your fingers. What a colossal fuck up. What a massive, grade A, absolute fuck up. You tossed the test up angerly into the sink then sunk back against the wall with your head in your hands. You’d done it now. You’d really gone and ruined everything.
You were pregnant.
You had only been dating Colton for six months and the idea of sitting him down right now and telling him that you were having his baby was the most terrifying nightmare that you could imagine. You had faith in him. You knew he wouldn’t walk out on the baby. But… what if he walked away from you? What if he did something even crazier like… propose?
You allowed your head to fall back, smacking against the wall as your eyes fell closed. Literal nightmare. You pulled your phone out of your pocket and looked up the number for your doctor’s office. There was no sense in telling him anything until after everything was confirmed by a blood test and an ultrasound.
You scheduled an appointment for the next week and climbed back to your feet, buried the test in the bottom of the trash can then opened the door. There wasn’t any time to sit on the bathroom floor and be pathetic. The game came was coming on in a few minutes.
****
Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump, Thump.
You stared at the monitor in awe as tears filled your eyes. That little blob was your little blob and you loved it. It had a heartbeat and as you were answering the doctor’s questions about yours and Colton’s genetic histories you had come to realize something else. This baby was half Colt.
You could picture a baby boy with the palest skin, lightest blonde hair and the brightest blue eyes, always filled with curiosity. You could see a toddler on his first pair of skates wobbling around the ice. A little boy running around the playground always faster than everyone else, so much taller than all of the other kids in his class. More determined to succeed than the other kids and doing it effortlessly but doing it so quietly and humbly that no one noticed.
For the first time since the positive had shown up on that pregnancy test you were happy. The problem was you still didn’t have any idea what to expect from Colton when you told him. Because now not only were you pregnant but you’d known for a week and neglected to tell him. For three days you’d had an excuse while he finished up his road stint, but he had been home for six and was leaving the next day. Still you’d neglected to spill.
You had the excuse of the doctor’s appointment until today.
Which meant you had to tell him tonight.
You prayed for a win.
“You look to be measuring at around five weeks,” the doctor said casting a smile in your direction before she returned her gaze to the screen to snap a few pictures. “The baby’s heartbeat is strong. Everything looks great.”
You walked out of the appointment with three pictures of your little baby, a video of his heartbeat and the feeling of a piano having been lifted off of your chest but chained to your ankle.
****
They lost. Badly.
You left Enterprise right after the game and headed home without waiting for Colton.  You sent him a quick text message simply: come over to my place. I’ll cook for you.
           He didn’t respond right away but you didn’t expect him to. Half an hour later he responded with: I’ll be on my way soon.
You were moving around your kitchen throwing the ingredients of a dish that you knew he loved together in a way that you had memorized by this point when he walked into the house. “Kitchen!” You called anxiously.
You had yet to decide whether or not you were going to tell him about the baby after their horrendous loss to the Canes. So, when he walked into the kitchen all smiles you were relieved. You were expecting a grumpy Colton, not a happy one.
“Do you just call out what room you’re in every time someone walks into the house?” He asked, “What if I was someone breaking in?”
“I live in the suburbs.” You said while stirring the pot on the stove, “The worst crime I’ve seen since I moved into this neighborhood was some kid setting up confetti cannons to go off when people opened their front doors.” You looked up, “That’s why I’m thankful I don’t have a storm door.”
“There’s a first for everything,” He said moving closer to look over your shoulder at what you were cooking. He studied it for a moment then asked, “Is this pity food?”
You laughed, “No.”
“Is it…” He paused, “Guilt food?” He studied you and you avoided his eyes, focusing your attention on the pot and stirring with more focus than was probably needed. “It is guilt food!” He exclaimed, stepping around you to lean against the counter so he could see your face. “What did you do?” He asked.
You narrowed your eyes at him, “Who says I did anything?”
“You’re making me guilt food, you basically admitted it.” He said, “That means you did something. So, spill. It obviously isn’t that big of a deal or you’d be more concerned. What, did your ex leave you more flowers?” You shook your head, “Did you wear one of the other guys jerseys to the game?” You just laughed in response, “Come on your killing me here, (Y/N).”
“You have to eat the guilt food first,” you said with a laugh. “I wouldn’t even say it’s guilt food… just… put you in a good mood food.”
He groaned and stepped behind you, wrapping an arm around your waist, pressing himself against your back and using his free hand to brush the hair off of your neck. He pressed a kiss to the bare skin of your shoulder just above the line of your shirt. “Come on, tell me. You know I don’t like to wait.”
You sighed as he continued the trail up the side of your neck then whispered in your ear, “Please, (Y/N/N)?”
Well, he’d done it. He found your weakness. Your brain was only halfway functioning as you whispered, “I’m pregnant.”
You didn’t realize the words had come out of your mouth until you felt him freeze behind you. After his long pause you were halfway expecting him to drop his arms, back away, and retreat from the room, maybe even your house. But he didn’t. He pulled the wooden spoon out of your hand and placed it on the counter then took half a step backwards, so he had room to turn you around. Now that you were facing him he looked into your eyes and in the most dazed, confused voice you’d ever heard leave his mouth, asked, “What did you just say?”
You hesitated for a moment, biting your lip as he stared down at you. You could tell he was beginning to get impatient when finally, you managed to tell him for the second time, “I’m pregnant. We’re having a baby.”
His eyes widened but he didn’t say anything, clearly shocked into silence. You would give him his moment though. He was still taking it better than you had. He hadn’t thrown anything. You lowered your eyes to the floor, took a deep breath and then twisted to turn off the burner.
When you turned back to face him Colton was staring at your stomach. “There’s a baby in there?” He asked quietly. He still sounded confused. Not angry. Not indignant. Just confused like he couldn’t quite wrap his head around the idea of there being a tiny human running around the world with his looks and your stubbornness.
“Yeah,” You said, “I went to my first ultrasound today. I have the pictures if you want to see them.”
He slowly looked up from your stomach to meet your eyes. “You went to the ultrasound without me?”
You licked your lips nervously while shifting your weight from foot to foot. It hadn’t really occurred to you that he might want to go to this appointment. He was so busy with playoffs coming up and you had been so upset about being pregnant at the time that you had just assumed he would be as well. Though somehow judging by the hurt look in his eyes it seemed like a bad idea to tell him that you thought that he wouldn’t be interested in going. “I wanted to be sure before I said anything. I didn’t want to worry you unless I had to.”
“How long have you known?” He asked now taking a step back.
You responded slowly after an awkward pause, “A week.”
“How could you keep something like this from me for a week, (Y/N)?” He asked. He wasn’t yelling, his voice was a controlled calm. “We’re supposed to be a team. You can’t lie to me about stuff this big.”
“What if it had been nothing?” You asked.
“Did you think it was nothing?” He responded, his tone rising for a second before he calmed it again. This was a man who laughed when people tried to punch him yet he was struggling to control his anger over something you had done.
Your lack of an answer was more than enough of an answer.
He crossed his arms and stared at the floor. You pulled your lip between your teeth and stared at him. There was a tense silence for some amount of time that seemed ungodly but probably wasn’t actually that long.
You shuffled your feet along the hardwood floors, “Are… are you mad at me?”
“Yes… yes (Y/N), I’m mad at you.” He said, and you winced because you didn’t even need a full hand to count the number of times that Colton had openly admitted to being mad at you in the six months you’d been together. “I’m already going to miss so much. I could have actually been there today. You didn’t even think to give me the choice.”
“Colt, I was scared!” You defended, arms crossed over your chest and chin stuck out stubbornly. You briefly felt a flash of pity for your boyfriend if the baby did, in fact, inherit your stubbornness.
“Of what, (Y/N)?” He asked, rather loudly for a man who prided himself on so rarely getting angry.
You snapped back, “Of what you would say! Of what you would do! I didn’t know if you would want to have a baby with me! What if you thought I was trying to baby trap you or something?”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” He asked, shaking his head. He took a step away from you. “Wow. I thought our relationship was a hell of a lot more than that. I thought you knew me better than that.”
“People do crazy shit when they’re stressed,” you told him, again finding yourself defending your position.
He just continued to stand and shake his head at you. After a tense silence he turned and walked out of the kitchen and into the living room. You followed, closely on his heal. “Where are you going?” you asked him.
“Home,” He said. “I can’t do this right now.”
“Colton do not walk out that door,” You stated with wide eyes as he pulled on his coat. He eyed you with a look that very clearly said I’d like to see your microscopic ass stop me.
He made it all the way there, had his hand on the door knob, then sighed. For a moment your heart lifted as you thought he had decided to stay. He turned to you, pressed his lips to your forehead and said, “I love you.”
Then he was gone.
****
You realized that you were wrong about five minutes after he walked out the door. Your pride however, would not allow you to call him and apologize. To be completely honest, you didn’t think he would answer if you did. You’d never seen him this angry with you. He had never walked away from you in the middle of a fight.
This time he’d completely left the house.
You’d expected him to stop by the next morning before he left and fix things. Nothing. Radio silence. Not even a text message.
Then he left town.
Without another word.
That was when you got an idea of how angry he really was. You could never imagine him doing this, let alone five minutes after finding out you were pregnant. It was so uncharacteristic for him. You’d really fucked up and you knew it.
But even the day he arrived in Boston you were too afraid to call him and apologize. Too afraid that he would ignore your call, send you to voice mail, or tell you that he was done with you. A thousand worse case scenarios ran through your head every waking moment of the day and hormone and fear induced nightmares destroyed any chance you had of regaining your sanity while you slept.
You almost didn’t watch them play the Bruins. You almost decided to sit in the bathtub with some music playing, tune out life and pretend that your world wasn’t falling apart. Though as you sat down on the side of the tub, before you even turned on the water, you sighed and shook your head.
You couldn’t miss the game.
You hadn’t missed a Blues game by choice since years before you’d started dating Colton. You weren’t going to be so petty that you chose this one to miss. For all you knew he would play amazing and you would miss it, then you would feel horrible and it would make the situation even worse.
So, you stood your miserable ass up, made your way into the living room and turned on the pregame. You saw him for the first time since he walked out the door two days before as they showed clips of him skating around the ice during warm ups.
He looked out of it. He wasn’t talking to any of the other players like he usually did. He wasn’t smiling or laughing or tossing pucks over the glass. He was going through the motions. You really hoped that he had more life than that during the game.
A small part of you was relieved that he was as unhappy as you.
A bigger part of you hated it.
The game started, and you really wished it hadn’t. The first twenty minutes was nothing but Colton missing passes, overshooting the net by a mile, and giving the puck to the other team. By the time intermission came you were really wishing you could have a glass of wine.
Then second period started.
What Chief said in the locker room you would never know, and you were sure Colton would never tell you but things turned around really quick. His first shift he came out onto the ice skated straight to the player with the puck and completely destroyed him in the middle of the ice. He passed the puck to Perron who buried it in the back of the net.
Everyone looked a little bit surprised, especially the dude in black and yellow still in the process of regaining his balance as the Blues celebrated their goal. You were right there with them. He didn’t stop there. His next shift was on a Blues power play and after almost taking off Rask’s head with a slapshot, he was passed the puck again a few seconds later. Back of the net. Blues 2-0.
Colton with an assist and a goal. Two points in five minutes after the cluster fuck that was the first period. Lord bless Chief and whatever magical powers he possessed.
Not long passed before Colton was throwing his hands in the air, indignant look on his face as he skated to the penalty box. “St. Louis 55, two minutes for charging.”
Well… yeah. It was a good call. But Colton was pissed. He wasn’t talking or laughing or smiling in the box like he usually did. No. He was angry.
He came out on the ice ready to fight. You didn’t even have time to register who the player with the puck was before Colton smashed him into the boards.
Colton is a big guy. He was pretty angry when he made the hit, so it was safe to assume that he hit the guy pretty hard. It was also safe to assume this because the Bruin’s feet came out from under him and struggled to get back up. His teammates didn’t seem to like this very much.
You watched with wide eyes as Wanger got in his face, well… tried to get in his face, yelling something. They dropped their gloves.
And holy shit, Colton won the fight.
The best part of the entire game? It was listening to Pang’s commentary on Colton’s random personality change. “That sure was something from big fella, number 55. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him lay a hit like that on someone!”
“And the big fella follows up his assist with a goal? So, what do you think was said between periods Kelly? Have you ever seen this kind of aggression from Parayko before?”
“Well Kelly, I didn’t think I’d ever see the day that Parayko took a charging penalty and a fighting major in the same game. That must have been some chat in the locker room.”
And you didn’t realize it until John Kelly responded but when he did you actually laughed at the absurdity of the entire situation. “Well Pang, Parayko just completed a Gordie Howe hat trick. That is definitely a  first for him.”
You decided in that moment that you really needed to call him before the Blues played their next game. Someone was going to get hurt.
****
You wanted to call him that night when the game ended but you knew you would have had to wait until he got to his hotel in New York, god knows when. So reluctantly you laid down in bed deciding you would call him in the morning.
Though you couldn’t sleep, so you were laying in bed reading a book at three thirty in the morning when your phone started ringing. It was a facetime. You didn’t have to look to know who it was from. There was only one person who ever facetimed you this late at night. You jumped across the bed and grabbed your phone off the charger, sliding to answer it then settling back against the headboard.
He was sitting in bed, no shirt, hair a mess. “Hey,” you said.
“Hey.” He said.
“So…” You started, “Gordie Howe?”
He pulled a face, “I was really hoping you didn’t watch tonight. First period was brutal.”
“Second period was fun though.”
He gave you a stern look, “(Y/N), I sent a guy to concussion protocol.”
“He was cleared,” you defended.
He sighed, rubbing his forehead, “I don’t think that’s the point.”
“Actually,” you said, “I think that’s a huge part of the point.”
“(Y/N).” He said, stressing your name in a way that made the smile fall off your face as easily as it had come. “This isn’t why I called.”
Oh, right. You were pregnant. You lied to him about it. You went to an ultrasound without him. He was pissed. He left town without making up with you. There were a lot of big things happening in your relationship right now.
“I’m sorry-,”
“No,” He said, “I’m sorry.”
“What?” You asked, actually confused. You were wrong. You knew you were wrong. Objectively, most people would say that you were in the wrong.
“I’m sorry that I left the other day without fixing things,” he said. “I’m sorry that I left town without coming by to see you.” He shifted the phone and readjusted himself on the bed, now leaning forward with his elbows on his knees. “I shouldn’t have done that to you. It was a dick move. I’ve felt like shit about it since I got on the plane.”
You shook your head, “You shouldn’t be apologizing, Colton. I’m the one who should be sorry. I lied to you. I took something away from you that you can’t get back and that wasn’t fair.”
He sighed, looked down at the floor as he responded, “Do I wish that you would have told me, and I could have been there? Yes, I do. I really fucking do. Do I hate why you didn’t tell me? Yeah, it really sucked to hear. But it happened. It’s over. I love you and I love this baby, and nothing changes that.”
“Colton,” you said quietly, and he looked up at his phone. You could see his eyes. They weren’t sad like you thought they would be. “I love you too,” you smiled at him, “and for what it’s worth, I wouldn’t want to start a life with anyone but you.”
Slowly, he smiled back at you. “Babe, I’ve never wanted a life with anyone as badly as I want one with you.”
The Phantoms, Triple Threat, Nick, & Caleb Covington as Pokemon trainers
Julie’s Pokemon: Sawsbuck (Bambi), Lurantis (Bloom), Mismagius (Magician), Pikachu (Sparkler), Solrock (Sunshine), Meganium (Long-Neck)
Julie’s a loving, gentle trainer that gives every Pokemon that comes her way a nickname and lets them out every once in a while to relax and play in a forest but goes hard in battles. She never loses. Her Pokemon never lose.
She’s good friends with every nurse Joy and officer Jenny and loves meeting new friends along the way to becoming a real Pokemon master. She never forgets her daily check-in calls with Ray and Carlos. She also keeps in touch with her best friend, Flynn, and loves the pictures she gets from her.
She likes to give her updates on “that cute but mischievous boy with the Gyarados and the Charizard“ that she’s pretty sure has a thing for her but she’s too shy to ask. Even if he seems to just “pop up“ wherever she goes after they met outside of a gym.
She genuinely laughed in Caleb Covington’s face when he tried, and failed epicly, to intimidate her. She thought it was the funniest thing she’d ever heard. Then she proceeded to beat him in battle. In public. Humiliating him. She hates him, and Team Rocket, and everything they stand for.
Bloom and Magician usually prefer to be out of their balls and walk and float around with her. She likes that about them. Sunshine and Lon-Neck seem to be closest with each other, but love the rest of the team as well. And they never run low on food or berries to munch on while they make pit stops on their journey.
Julie usually likes to wear a purple t shirt or sweater, a matching purple headband, white pants and sneakers and a black jacket. She always has a charm bracelet with 6 charms: A Poke Ball, a Great Ball, an Ultra Ball, a Master Ball, a Love Ball and a Friend Ball.
Luke’s Pokemon: Jolteon (Bolt), Charizard (Blaze), Gyarados (Bayou), Poliwrath (Polly), Zapdos (Tazer), Beedrill (Honey)
Yeah, Luke’s a bit of a genwunner. What’s it to ya? He knows what he likes and he knows what’s good. And yeah, he might have gotten himself in trouble with more than one officer Jenny more than twice for trying to steal a potion or two. (Nurse Joys always hate him so he’s learned to stay away from centers.) So he’s a rebel. Sue him. At least he cares enough to get them for his team.
Unlike those awful Team Rocket people that, rather than loving and caring for Pokemon like the epic, amazing, awesome creatures they are, they hurt them. Luke hates Team Rocket with all of his heart and he makes that fact known. He’s only ever met two, and they both sucked. One yelled at a kid’s Geodude and the other made a Togepi cry. Hard. He took it upon himself to comfort the little Togepi and feed him some (stolen) Pokemon food until he smiled and skipped away like nothing had happened.
Anyway, he loves being a trainer and exploring places with his Pokemon and he loves forest picnics (of stolen food, usually) and watching his Gyarados hide in waterfalls to jump out and scare people off. He also likes to keep tabs on “that girl that gives her Pokemon nicknames like a (pretty) dork” (Which is a thing he totally didn’t steal from her. He was already calling his team those names.) and tell the few friends he has about her.
Charizard and Jolteon have been with him since the very beginning of his journey, as a little but strong Charmander and Eevee and he loves them (and everyone else) like crazy. Zapdos tends to come out of his Ultra Ball without warning to spread his wings. Poliwrath is a big fan of swimming in lakes when they find them.
Luke generally wears a blue tank top with a black vest hoodie, jeans and black boots. He’s never seen without his blue knitted beanie (”My mom knitted this, so I’m wearing it forever.”) or the pink, red and blue friendship bracelet Reggie had gifted both him and Alex with before they went on their journeys. (”Reggie and Alex are my best friends, so I’m wearing it forever.”) Luke’s bracelet has a Master Ball charm and he loves it.
Reggie’s Pokemon: Eevee (Foxy), Braixen (Fire-Starter), Vulpix (Curly Top), Cyndaquil (Volcano), Teddiursa (Baby Bear), Togetic (Angel)
Reggie’s not necessarily too concerned with being a Pokemon master. You see, he’s more inclined to just have a good time and explore and let his Pokemon just be and give them all nicknames. He’ll sometimes pop into a Poke Mart just to say hi and grab a potion or two, mostly to not have to bother nurse Joy about his Eevee, who prefers to be carried around like a baby, (And who he doesn’t want to evolve into anything. Same with the rest of them. He’s very content with his “baby” team, thank you.), or his other Pokemon, again.
He likes hearing about his friends crazy adventures, though! And he likes hearing about their love lives, even if they’re both too shy to do much about anything. He likes telling his friends about all the stuff he sees in his town, like the old guy selling Pokemon food and the little girl that “just has an Arcanine, a Flareon, and an Infernape already! How did one little girl manage that?”
Reggie thinks he’s really lucky he’s never met a Team Rocket member, considering everything he’s heard about them from Luke, they suck. He’s honestly started to genuinely hate them by emotional osmosis at this point.
Reggie likes to dress in red and black flannels, white or grey t shirts, black jeans, black sandals, his own friendship bracelet that has an Eevee charm and a black jacket when the weather calls for it.
Alex’s Pokemon team: Sobble, Psyduck, Entei, Rapidash, Lapras, Starmie
So catching the Entei was kind of an accident. He’d just been exploring around a volcano looking to try and catch a Rapidash (he got it) when the volcano erupted and Entei appeared. He had (somehow) managed to calm the rather disgruntled Pokemon and catch it with a Poke Ball and Entei loves being part of Alex’s team, as do the rest of them. The Lapras was an accident, too, but that’s another story for another day. It involves a very grumpy, greedy hunter and Psyduck’s chronic headache.
Sobble, Starmie and Psyduck all just kind of felt drawn to him. He wasn’t going to question why an anxious duck with a permanent headache, a water lizard that always looked distressed and a star felt like sticking around him, but he loved them all equally. He loves updating his friends, Luke and Reggie on his adventures and catches (and the cute boy with the Blissey and Bellossom he met in a Poke Mart and keeps bumping into “on accident”*) or just calling to talk about nothing when he misses them.
(*It’s so not an accident.)
Alex likes to wear pink t shirts with a grey or black jean jacket, blue jeans, a white snapback and black sneakers. He never takes off his friendship bracelet and is very careful to not snag it on a twig or door handle or lose the Starmie charm.
Willie’s Pokemon: Blissey, Bellossom, Slowbro, Snorlax, Garchomp, Aromatisse
Earlier on in life, Willie had been pretty certain he wanted to be like his dad and become a real gym leader, but over time, he grew to like the idea of being a Pokemon doctor. His parents were a bit surprised by the news of their boy wanting to be a doctor, but they wholeheartedly supported his dreams and let him go to school to be a doctor, getting semi-regular updates from him.
Now, he’s often seen picking berries from trees and walking into Poke Marts to grab whatever he’d run out of that week, always happy to see the store clerks or say hi to a friend whose Pokemon he helped heal. (He especially liked when he ran into that Cute Blond Boy and he sometimes walks into stores just to talk to him even if he bought supplies just the day before, but shh. Cute Blond Boy doesn’t need to know that.) He also liked to offer grumpy, angry people a couple bites of Blissey egg to make them happy just because.
Willie usually likes to be comfortable and wear orange and white tie dye t shirts or orange and yellow floral t shirts, blue jeans, white sandals, and his hair loosely tied in a bun. After meeting Cute Blonde Boy, though, he started incorporating snapbacks and sneakers into his wardrobe. He liked how they looked on Cute Blond Boy better, though.
Flynn’s Pokemon: Liepard, Torracat, Delcatty, Pyroar, Lillipup, Persian
Flynn is honestly more of a Pokemon photographer than anything. She likes to hang around fields and forests to see the Pokemon roam free and take pictures or just watch while her big and little wildcats (Her favorites.) and her puppy (Accident. She doesn’t know how she fell so hard for the little pup.) either play or lie next to her and nap. She sends her favorites to her best friend, Julie and talks to her over the phone all the time. She likes hearing about her adventures and her cute boy and give advice on how to talk to him.
Flynn has only ever encountered Caleb, Dante and Fuego twice and she hated him instantly. The first time, she saw him snap at a little boy holding a Growlithe plushie. She had instinctively sicced her Pyroar’s flamethrower on him, yelling at him to leave the kid alone. The second time, she saw him physically grab a girl’s Hoppip and stomped toward him, commanding her Liepard to use Fury Swipes on him. She watched him struggle to walk away afterwards, gently handing the Hoppip back to the little girl and pointing in the direction of a Pokemon center just in case “her little friend got hurt when the mean guy grabbed her”.
Flynn is always seen wearing some kind of wildcat print in her outfits. Whether it’s the orange tiger t shirt and blue jeans combo with matching tiger boots she loved to put together, or the leopard print dress she saved for special occasions. She and Julie have always worn their matching charm bracelets with nothing but pride and love.
Carrie’s Pokemon: Mew, Sylveon, Dragonair (Shiny), Alomomola, Clefable, Audino
Listen, Carrie Wilson may be a pink princess, but don’t mistake her love of girly, glittery clothes and only having pink Pokemon on her team as her being weak. It’s not “she loves pink and glitter, but she’s strong and smart“, it’s “she loves pink and glitter AND she’s strong and smart“.
She simply has an aesthetic and an image to maintain and she maintains it, while having a team of strong fighters. She caught her Mew when all she had was a Sylveon and a couple of Pokeballs (What, like it’s hard?) and she’s proud to have a Mew, who prefers to float around her or piggyback her rather than be stuck in a ball, on her team.
She thinks it’s hilarious that Caleb assumed she would be at all scared of him. And assumed that she would lose to him. Carrie Wilson never loses a battle and she doesn’t plan to make that a habit of hers anytime soon. It’s simply not what Carrie Wilson does. Carrie Wilson instills fear into the hearts of weak little men, and has fun doing it.
But she’s always nice to little girls like her who love pink and love to beat boys in battle. She even gives girls strategic advice and runs into stores to buy them potions, poison heals and more just because. Little girls love her for it and she loves the little girls she comes across like her sisters.
Carrie wears a bedazzled white t shirt with a picture of a Love Ball on the front, a pink (faux, of course) fur coat, a sparkly pink tiered skirt with matching pink high heels. She saves her favorite pink and silver crystal dress for only the most special occasions.
Nick’s Pokemon: Cubone, Elekid, Wartortle, Chimchar, Pidgey, Butterfree
Nick is an aspiring baseball player, just like his dad. He’s not the best in battle, and he has to make quite a few emergency trips to Pokemon centers or clinics when he’s out of potions, but his team still loves him and fiercely (Well, as fierce as a tiny dinosaur, a ball of electricity, a turtle, a chimp, a pidgeon, and a butterfly can be.) protects him from danger.
Like that time when he accidentally angered a flock of Zubat by kicking a rock a little too hard and startling them awake. Emolga and Chimchar had to come to his rescue and they managed to get away relatively unscathed. Or that time he’d been found by a sweet old couple that offered him a warm meal, some Pokemon food and a bed for the night. After he’d been ambushed by a massive colony of angry Beedrill for walking too close to Beedrill territory.
Nick liked to wear a yellow t shirt with his dad’s baseball team, The Electabuzz, white shorts, black sandals and a white vest. He was always in either that or a regular white t shirt with a Poke Ball, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Caleb’s Pokemon: Seviper, Grimmsnarl, Gengar, Skarmory, Umbreon, Spectrier
Caleb’s a member of Team Rocket. No one there really likes him or takes him seriously except Dante and Fuego, but he’s convinced himself they all do. No one, not even Dante and Fuego, is really sure how he managed to catch the Spectrier (or any of his team, because they don’t really like him much, either), but they also haven’t bothered to ask and he can’t really be bothered to tell.
He’s totally not friends with Dante and Fuego (yes, he is) and he totally doesn’t love them like sons, what? He doesn’t have a heart. (Except for Dante and Fuego.) He steals from stores and scares kids just by existing near them. Except Julie, Flynn, Carrie, and Luke. They’re not scared of anything. He’s more scared of them.
He hates the standard “bland, boring and ugly” Team Rocket uniform. With a burning passion. So naturally, he decided to dye the white parts of his uniform purple and cover it in glitter, replacing the hat with a much more his style top hat. He had gotten in trouble for the modifications to the outfit initially, but he didn’t care much. He was evil, but he wasn’t boring. And his boss had just sighed and decided he could get used to the non-regulation uniform after all.
Warnings: idk, sad?? Then fluff
Alright well this probably sucks, but here goes: it’s Y/N’s sweet 16 and almost no one remembers, that’s about it as far as the plot goes.
F/B = favorite band, F/F = favorite fandom, F/C = favorite color, Y/B/D = your birth date
Y/N was on cloud 9. She hadn’t known it was possible to feel this great so early in the morning, but it was. It was her birthday, her second favorite day of the year, (Christmas came first) and she couldn’t be more excited.
She had already received several presents this morning, courtesy of Peter, who had delivered presents from several of her friends in his neighborhood while he was patrolling.
Thus far she had received the most adorable stuffed bear she had ever seen from Ned, (and of course the bear was dressed in a little Star Wars t-shirt, because, Ned) MJ had gotten her a book she’d been wanting, and texted her to remind her she was even closer to dying (MJ had a weird view on birthdays), and Peter himself had gotten her a collection of t-shirts: one from F/B, one from F/F, and—Peter has found this one rather amusing—a Spider-Man t-shirt. He made her promise to flaunt it in front of her father, too, saying maybe if she did that he’d get jealous and buy her an Iron Man t-shirt, so it was a win-win all around.
Y/N couldn’t wait to find out what her father had planned for her. Being the daughter of Tony Stark meant that birthdays would be filled with way too many presents and the biggest party of the year. Part of her—ok, most of her—wished that her birthdays could be a bit more simple, but she loved watching how happy her father was when he got to spoil her, and she loved that every year on her birthday he made sure to spend the entire day with her, no matter what.
Y/N quickly got dressed in one of her favorite outfits, jean shorts and a F/F t-shirt (her other favorite was a F/C dress, but she didn’t feel like getting too dressed up today, she wanted to be comfortable), and practically skipped over to the elevator. She knew the first event on the birthday schedule would be pancakes, compliments of her father, which was very special. Tony Stark never, ever cooked, except that one day a year when he rolled up his sleeves and made birthday breakfast pancakes. They were always oddly shaped, with weird lumps in them, but Y/N loved the tradition anyway.
Y/N was confused when she arrived in the kitchen and saw it completely vacant. Wasn’t her dad awake yet? He always got up a little earlier on her birthday to make sure they had plenty of time together, so where was he?
Barely had the thought crossed her mind when she heard her father’s voice in the living room
“...are you sure? Alright, I’ll call you back later then.”
Y/N rushed to the living room just as Tony Stark got off the phone.
“Hey babygirl,” he greeted and kissed her forehead “you’re up early. What are your plans for today.”
Y/N felt her heart drop like a stone. He...he didn’t remember?
She struggled to keep her voice steady as she replied.
“Not-not much, you?” Maybe he was just messing with her, just joking as usual. He wouldn’t forget.
“I have a meeting in Paris with some execs at Stark Industries, really boring stuff but Pep says I have to go. I’ll be back tomorrow night though.”
Y/N fought hard against the tears that had begun to gather behind her eyes. He really had forgotten, and he would be gone all day.
She probably should remind him, that would fix everything, he’d drop absolutely everything and apologize a million times and the day would go back to normal. But she couldn’t bring herself to do it.
She didn’t know why, but she felt too embarrassed to bring the subject up. She hated being the center of attention, and she hated making her father feel bad, and reminding him that he had forgotten his daughter’s sixteenth birthday would make both of those things happen. Besides, she didn’t want him to drop all of his important business just for her. It was just a stupid day.
Before she could stop it, a tear slipped down her cheek and dripped off her chin. Her father hadn’t seen it, however, because he had turned and stepped into the elevator. He had his important meeting to get to after all.
With one last smile and wave, Tony Stark disappeared.
A few more tears slid down Y/N’s face, but she quickly wiped them away when she heard approaching footsteps.
“Morning kiddo,” Bruce greeted with a grin. “Where’s your dad?”
“He—um...he went out,” she muttered. “He’ll be back tomorrow.”
“Alright,” Bruce nodded and walked into the kitchen, and Y/N felt her heart sink even further. Bruce had forgotten too.
She didn’t want to mope, not on her birthday, but she was also pretty bad at cheering herself up. She’d just need some help.
She saw her first opportunity when Steve walked sleepily into the living room. Steve was both the best cuddler and the best tickler on the team, the perfect way to cheer her up. But if she wanted to be tickled she’d have to annoy him a bit, that always got him to tickle her.
“Hey Stevie,” she greeted with a grin, stepping up onto the couch and using it as a stepping stool to jump onto his back. He grunted at the impact, and turned his head to glare at her.
“Y/N, go annoy someone else, I’m not in the mood,” he snapped, and she pushed back the hurt at learning that yet another teammate had forgotten her birthday.
“Ignore Captain Mcgrumpypants, he got back from a mission at four a.m,” Clint announced as he walked into the room. Had no one remembered her birthday?
“Stevie I’m bored,” Y/N whined, jumping off his back and poking him in the chest.
He moved away from her, scowling. “Then go find someone else to bug.”
“But you’re the most fun to bug!” She insisted, poking him again.
He shoved her hand away. “Y/N, I swear, touch me one more time and I-“
Y/N grinned, mistaking his grumpy tone for the usual joking threat. She was so close to getting tickled. She poked him yet again, hard in the center of his chest.
Steve shoved her back harshly, and it was then she realized that he hadn’t been kidding around, he really was angry with her.
“Y/N, I mean it! Grow the heck up and leave me ALONE!” He was standing in front of her now, using his height as an advantage to tower over her. She had never felt quite this small before.
“Steve I just-“
“I’ve had ENOUGH of your childish antics, you’re too old to be running around and acting like a two-year old, now stop it!”
Y/N couldn’t hold back the whimper that bubbled up in her throat as tears streamed down her face.
Upon seeing her reaction, the anger almost immediately faded from Steve’s eyes, but it was too late.
“Y/N-“ he began, but she had already disappeared up the stairs.
“Oh nice going Steve,” Clint scoffed.
...
Y/N threw herself down on her bed and began to cry into her pillow, hugging it tightly. She hadn’t meant to upset Steve, she just wanted to have a little fun.
She didn’t understand. Why didn’t anyone remember her birthday? Why had Steve gotten so mad at her? What had she done wrong to make today go so horribly?
One thing was for sure. This was the worst birthday ever.
...
“JARVIS, what time is it?” Tony Stark asked as he went over his notes for the upcoming meeting.
“It is 3:27, Saturday, Y/B/D, sir,” the AI responded.
Tony froze. Had he heard that right?
“You...you said it was Y/B/D?”
“Yes, Mr. Stark.”
Tony moaned. It was Y/N’s birthday! How had he not known?!
“Clint spilled coffee all over your calendar three weeks ago, that’s how,” Tony muttered to himself. He hadn’t looked at the date in forever, and he’d forgotten to set a reminder on his phone.
Tony groaned. That was such a lame excuse. He shouldn’t always need a reminder or a calendar to remember his kid’s birthday. He should’ve kept track!
“JARVIS, cancel my meeting and turn this bird around,” he demanded, doing calculations in his head. He had left at 9 a.m, meaning he should get home a little before 10. He would still be there for a little bit of his little girl’s birthday.
“JARVIS, call all of Y/N’s friends and-“
“Mr. Stark, I believe Y/N would be much happier if she was just able to spend time with you,” his AI responded.
Tony stopped. Maybe JARVIS was onto something.
...
“Hey, where’s the birthday girl?” Everyone in the living room froze when they heard Bucky’s question.
“The what?” Steve asked, but he already knew.
“Oh don’t tell me you guys forgot,” Bucky groaned. “It’s Y/N’s birthday! So where is she?”
All eyes slowly turned to Steve, and the guilt already torturing him doubled. Why has he been such a jerk to her?
“Upstairs in her room,” Steve muttered.
“Alright, I’ll go get-“
“No,” Steve interrupted. “I have to get her.”
...
Y/N had finally stopped the flood of tears when she heard a gentle knock on the door.
“Y/N?” Steve. Of course.
“Go away!” Her voice came out quiet and muffled because of the pillow still pressed against her face.
“I’m coming in,” he announced, and Y/N was surprised when the door opened. She lifted her head from the pillow.
“JARVIS!” She whined. “You were supposed to keep him out!”
“I’m sorry miss, but it seemed like it would be better if you listened to what Captain Rogers has to say.”
“Traitor,” she mumbled, dropping her head back onto her pillow.
“Hey,” Steve said gently, sitting down next to Y/N. She ignored him.
He sighed. He wasn’t that good with awkward silence.
Slowly, he began to sing happy birthday.
“Stop it,” she interrupted, her voice thick. He sighed
“Y/N I’m sorry.”
“Who told you it was my birthday?”
“Bucky. I’m sorry I forgot.”
Y/N sniffled. “It’s fine. You’re not the only one.”
Steve froze, realizing he hadn’t seen Tony all day. “Your dad too?”
“Yeah,” Steve could tell she had started to cry again. He pulled her gently away from her pillow and into his lap, and she cried softly against his chest.
“I’m sorry I annoyed you,” she whispered.
“Don’t apologize. I should never have yelled at you.”
“It’s ok.”
“Captain Rogers, you’re wanted downstairs,” JARVIS announced.
“I’ll be right back,” Steve promised, kissing her forehead.
Steve was surprised when he reached the bottom of the stairs and was greeted by none other than Tony Stark.
“How is she?” Tony asked.
“Sad. But she’ll get over it, especially if you get up there,” Steve assured.
“Great,” Tony started up the stairs, but Steve stopped him.
“Please, no huge parties. I don’t think she would want that right now.”
Tony merely grinned. “Don’t worry, I’ve got it all worked out. Go to the living room and you’ll see,” and with that Tony disappeared up the stairs.
...
“JARVIS, please don’t let anyone else in,” Y/N muttered. She didn’t feel much like being happy anymore. The only thing that could make her feel better was-
“Babygirl open the door.”
Y/N froze. No way. He was back?!
“JARVIS let him in!”
“But miss you-“
“JARVIS!”
Instead of a response, the door clicked and Tony entered.
“Hey kiddo,” he said quietly.
“Dad,” she didn’t even care anymore that he forgot her birthday, she was just glad to see him.
“Commere babygirl,” Tony hugged her tightly, and she smiled. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s ok. Everyone else forgot too.”
“But I shouldn’t have. C’mon, let’s go downstairs,” Tony stood, pulling Y/N along.
“Dad, there’s not a big party down there is there?”
Tony laughed softly. “Just come down.”
...
Y/N grinned when she reached the bottom of the stairs.
“You like it?” Tony asked.
“Are you kidding? This is great!” Y/N ran over to the huge table in the back of the living room, filled with about a dozen different kinds of ice cream and way too much candy. She turned and saw a pile of presents in the corner, and next to it a stack of dvds.
“Tonight we’re gonna open presents, eat ice cream, and binge watch every Star Wars movie,” Tony promised with a grin.
“Every one?” Steve whispered, and Nat elbowed him.
Y/N hugged Tony. “Thank you!”
He grinned. “You’re welcome baby girl.”
“But there’s one thing we have to do first,” she announced, wandering over to the couch.
“And what’s that?” Bucky questioned.
Y/N grinned and snatched up a pillow, swinging it hard at Bucky’s face, “pillow fight!”
Best. Birthday. Ever.
Angel with a shotgun Final
part 1| part 2
wordcount: 3466
A/N: Real quick thanks to @nankri @fukyouthink @terrifying-testicles @domtamaki who made suggestions to me! It really helped me finish this! Thank you!
“Alright, let’s go Blasty,” Kaminari panted to himself as he practically dragged a half-aware Bakugo down the street.
He wasn’t drunk enough to not shoot back with an insult though. “You are weak as shit, Drooly.”
This was just not Kaminari’s night; instead of picking up chicks after a night out with his bros, him caring for a drunk, heartbroken Bakugo. “Well, not all of us can lift a building over our heads like Midoriya or Sato.”
“Drooly.”
He was in no mood to deal with anyone’s shit, especially Bakugo’s. “Stop insulting me and just focus on walking.”
“Kaminari,” Bakugo spoke in such a serious, broken tone that he couldn’t help but to stop to look at his friend. Kaminari stared at Bakugo, anxious to hear what he had to say. Maybe he was about to drunkenly open up to him like he did to Kirishima, finally admitting that they were best friend—
“I’m gonna throw up.”
Or not. Kaminari began to panic as Bakugo slammed a hand over his mouth. “Ah, not on me! I just bought this jacket! In the bush, man! In the bush!” Kaminari supported Bakugo as he spilled his guts into a poor plant. Looking around, he saw that there was a convenience store across the street. “Okay, stay here while I go into the store to get you some water.”
Kaminari was inside the store for five minutes. Just five short minutes.
“Bakugo?” Kaminari dropped the bottle of water on the ground, frantically looking around for his struggling drunk friend. The ash-blonde was long gone. “What? How?! He can’t walk five feet! I was just— five minutes! Ugh!” He yelled at the empty street, yanking at his hair. This is why he shouldn’t be in charge of Bakugo!
Pulling out his phone, he called the only person who could get Bakugo to do anything. “There better be a fucking villain on a rampage.” Kirishima growled into the phone; someone giggled in the background.
“I lost Bakugo.” Kaminari didn’t feel bad for what he had possibly interrupted. That’s what they get for dumping the drunk on him.
“How do you lose a half-asleep drunk? I’ll send you Bakugo’s location.”
“You have Bakugo’s phone chipped?”
“Trust me; it’s been useful in the past. Call me in the morning when the sun is up. Where do you think you’re going?” Kirishima hung up, abruptly but not before Kaminari heard his wife squeal.
Gross; he had a pretty good idea of what his bro was getting into now. “Man, I need to find a wife…not a drunk Bakugo…” Following the coordinates that Kirishima had sent him, he found that Bakugo had wandered off only three blocks away. That wasn’t too bad.
“Angel! Open the door! I know you are there! ___! Please!” He’d spoken too soon. As he approached an apartment building, Kaminari heard Bakugo screaming.
There he was, in all his drunken glory: Bakugo Katsuki. Ground Zero, the number seven hero, banging his open palms against a door, shouting and trying to look through a peephole, all while struggling to stand up straight.
“Dude!” Kaminari tried to pull Bakugo back away from the door, but despite being drunk, he still had his strength and was holding onto the door handle. “Bakugo, come on— you can’t! Ugh!”
Bakugo shook his head, pouting like a five-year-old. “No, I want to see her.”
“Oh no. You’re really gone, aren’t you?” Bakugo had only gotten like this once before, when he first started drinking. He had been hugging everyone and refused to let go of Mina, who was moving to an agency further away. All night, he cried that he was going to miss her. Mina was ecstatic while Bakugo was so mortified by the fact he’d spilled his true feelings; he refused to hang out with anyone for weeks. “We need to go.”
“No!” They continued to play tug-of-war till the door opened and the two of them went tumbling down to the ground.
~
You love sleep. It’s one of your favorite pastimes. After the week you’d had, sleep was exactly what you needed. When you are in a low mood and not producing any of the needed chemical for your quirk to work, you are left in a depressed state, causing a lot of stress on your body. So being woken up at two in the morning by someone screaming and banging on your door did not exactly put you in the best of moods.
“Oh my god! What are you doing?! Shut up before the cops come, dumbass!” Slamming the door open, your eyes went wide as you saw Bakugo sitting on his ass with another blonde man standing behind him, his arms hooked underneath Bakugo’s arms.
“Angel!” Bakugo smiled at you, his voice sounding oddly cheerful as he pushed the other guy’s hands away.
“Bakugo, wha-what are you doing?”
You blinked as Bakugo began to crawl on his hands and knees towards you, giggling. “Angel is grumpy when she wakes up.” You looked up at his companion, completely confused, but were only given a shaky smile and shrug as a response.
“Are you drunk?” Bakugo was now standing on his knees, hugging you. You could smell the alcohol on him. It was like he’d taken a bath in cheap beer. “I thought you couldn’t drink while in therapy. Let go.”
You tried to push the oddly clingy Bakugo off; you looked to his friend for help, only to see that he wasn’t standing there anymore. You turned just in time to see blonde hair disappearing down stairs. “Hey! Get back here and take him!”
Arms tightened around your waist. “I wanna talk…”
“No, you said you needed time, well so do I. You accused me of faking our whole relationship. My quirk is not strong enough to even do that. All I can do is make people relaxed and content, but that isn’t special. Anyone if they are close to you can do that for you, there is no need for a quirk like mine.” The two of you struggled in the hallway; you kept trying to push him off but his hands clung to your clothes.
“I realized that and—”
Your voice broke as you spoke. Why won’t he just let go of you?! “You don’t. Many people have misconceptions about my quirk. I told you from the beginning what my quirk could do and I thought you understood. Then you stopped talking to me, cut me out, because you made assumptions about me. Like everything meant nothing to you.”
“No.”
“You didn’t bother to ask me and just…I would have talked to you…” You whimpered, arms starting to giving out, no match for Bakugo’s strength.
“No, I need you!” Bakugo held you more tightly against him, causing your knees to buckle slightly. He buried his face into your stomach as he pleaded. “Please Angel, I can’t do this anymore! I miss you! Even the fucking singing, you can sing “It’s a Small World” over and over and I’d be over the fucking moon.”
Instantly, you stopped struggling, hands resting on his shoulders. “Katsuki…you hate my singing…”
He leaned harder into you, the two of you awkwardly scooting into your apartment enough to close the door. “I don’t…I hate that song, but I love your voice. I could listen to you reading the street signs for all I care, as long as I can hear you.” You could feel his hands shaking as he gripped onto your shirt.
“You do things to me. I can’t even describe it. You completely fucked me up inside. I dated and fucked around out of boredom in the past. I never understood how Kirishima or fucking Deku could feel so intensly for one person, but I get it. I fucking get it now.”
He sucked in a shaky breath. “I need you in my life; you came into my world and made it a goddamn mess. You not in it makes me a mess. I’d do anything to keep you; I babysat Kirishima’s kid for free for a fucking month and a half just to see you! And it freaked me out.” His shoulders quivered under your hands.
Katsuki pulled at you; you let him pull you down to the floor. The desperation in his eyes took your breath away.
“You…you’re just too perfect. Everything was too amazing. My mind was looking for fucking anything to explain why. I never get exactly what I want without effort or any issues. There had to be something wrong with you. Something always goes wrong and it ends. This time, it was me; I fucked everything up. It was my fault. I should have been out celebrating getting reinstated today, but all I could do was bitch about how fucking stupid I was losing you.” He kept you close to him, hugging you so desperately you were practically in his lap, his face shoved into your neck and a hand in your hair to keep your face next to his.
You only noticed that your neck was wet when he pulled away to look at you. Bakugo Katsuki was crying? Even if he was drunk, it was shocking. His hands engulfed your face, thumbs rubbing at your cheek and wiping away your own tears. “The first time I saw you, you fucking captured my attention without even trying. You fucking little thief stole my heart while I was frozen in the doorway, listening to you read a shitty kids’ book. I was nowhere near you for your quirk to even affect me in the slightest. It was all you, baby.”
You chuckled awkwardly for the first time in weeks, a small smile on your face. “Sounds like you fell in love with me at first sight.”
“I did.” He answered seriously to your joke, eyes looking straight into yours.
“W-What?”
Katsuki sighed, leaning against your door and taking you with him, your body between his legs and head against his chest. “I did. I won’t say it outright while drunk. I don’t want you to doubt me, not after all this shit I put you through. Just know I feel it.”
It was your turn to cling to him; gently, you wrapped your arms around his waist as he ran his fingers through your hair. “Katsuki…even when my quirk makes me overly emotional and react violently?”
“Have you fucking met me? I’ve done way worse. Besides, you’re pretty sexy when you’re angry.” You sat up to glare at him, smacking his muscular chest. The stupid jerk just smirked at you. “Though I do prefer you glowing and not throwing plates at me.”
“Your fault, do it again and I’ll kill you. Also you owe me new plates, asshole.”
“Love it when you talk dirty. Deal.”
~
“Miss __? Why aren’t you doing the glowy thingie?” You looked  up from your lunch to see one of your kids. It’s been a week since you seen Katsuki. The morning after his drunken fiasco, he made you breakfast while acting completely shy and embarrassed about what he’d said the night before, and then he asked if you two were back together. He looked so nervous, you couldn’t help but to mess with him, not speaking as you ate a couple of bites before smiling at him. He smiled back at you and it was peaceful again. The two of you were okay. It was nice to sit with him, eating his cooking, and just talking like you did before. But the little bubble around you two had to pop when he had to go to work, full time hero again.
Text messages and random quick calls in the middle of the night was all the time he had. He had to do some publicity stunts to get the public’s attention again since he’s been out of the game for so long. He was furious when he saw that the hero Deku had gone up in ranking. So now here you were, moping from not being able to talk to your now official boyfriend and making children worry about you. “I’m sorry; I usually glow when I’m really happy. I’m not feeling okay today…” You patted the child on the head when she nodded and leaned against you.
“Look! I colored a kitty for you!” Another little boy came over to you, jumping up and down while holding the drawing over his head.
“Oh, I’ll draw something for you too!”
You giggled as multiple kids started drawing pictures to help cheer you up. Bless these children, they give you hope for the future. “Um ___, there’s something for you in the front.” A co-worker of yours came into the room; it looked like she was trying to hold back a smile. You just gave her a nod and let the kids know you’ll be right back.
As soon as you made your way to the front of the daycare, a bouquet of orange and red roses were dropped into your arms. It was so large that you had to hold it with both arms wrapped around it. “What in the world?” You thank the delivery man and looked at the information card.
In the language of flowers, red and orange roses symbolize love and passion. Eighty-eight roses are to express that they are sorry from the bottom of their heart.
You snorted, sliding the card in your apron pocket and hugging the flowers to your chest, inhaling their scent. This was just too much. What a dummy. “Miss ___ is glowing again!” The kids were peeking around the corner of the doorway, all of them voicing how pretty the flowers were.
Running to the breakroom, you placed the flowers down and made a call. He answered within two rings, as though he was expecting you. “Katsuki!”
“Speak of the devil… or should I say angel?”
You shook your head at his joking tone. “Katsuki, stop.”
“I assume you got the flowers.”
“I did. You didn’t have to, you know? You already said you were sorry.” You played with one of the rose petals, feeling its soft, velvety texture.
Katsuki chuckled into his phone, his deep voice sending a shiver down your spine. You could picture the suggestive smirk on his face. “I wanted to. For you.”
“You didn’t have to do so many; I can barely hold them all.”
“I don’t half-ass things. Besides, I can hear you glowing, so it’s worth it.” It was true; your quirk was fully active right now. Much better than just a few minutes ago. All thanks to him. You heard someone yell Katsuki’s hero name distantly, talking to him urgently. “Yeah, yeah, I fucking heard you.”
You tried not to sound disappointed, your lower lip jutting out. “You gotta go?”
“Some fucking interview; going to let the public know about my arms and stuff. PR said it would be a good way to get my ratings back up. I’ll call you when I’m off work.” He let out a heavy sigh, letting out a frustrated groan. There has been a lot of Ground Zero on the radio and news lately; he’d mentioned having to do a modeling gig and a commercial for some random product soon. “I miss you, I love my job but I’m actually kind of disappointed that I won’t get to spend all day with you.”
“I miss you too. And you still owe me plates.”
“We can go shopping on my next day off.”
“Yeah, that sounds nice.”
“It’s a date. I’ll call you later, Angel.” You sighed happily, holding your phone to your chest for a moment before going back to work. By the end of the day, your arms were full of drawings and flowers. You were glowing brighter than the street lights all the way home.
Breaking news: Ground Zero is in love?! The explosive hero has recently returned to hero work and disclosed that he was on medical leave due to a four-man villain group who terrorized the Tokyo four months ago (read more here). During his interview, the host started probing the hero on what he did while on leave and about his love life. GZ refused to provide any information about his personal life, but earlier the hero was caught backstage on the phone with an unknown person, making date plans for his next day off. When questioned and faced with video evidence from the staff, you wouldn’t believe his reaction! Click here to read more.
~
Today, you were helping out in the infant room; there were a few upset teething infants that needed constant calming. Your quirk came in handy to soothe them. You were feeding one of the infants when you heard the door open. “Psst. Psst. Ms. ___.”
A familiar black-haired boy poked his head out from around the corner, a red bandana over his mouth and wearing a Red Riot shirt. “Fujio, what are you doing—?”
Fujio held up a hand, pressing his finger to his lips and loudly shushing you. “No! You can’t use my suvillian name. I in hero mode, like Daddy; I can’t call him daddy when he in hero mode. I’m a hero on a super-duper top secret mission from Ground Zero.” He reached into his shirt and pulled out a note.
Standing up, infant secured against your shoulder, you took the small note from Fujio. “Oh thank you, hero.”
“Mission accompished! Now I must return before anyone notices I’m gone.” He saluted you and then turned to run back to his class, arms behind him. Once you knew for sure Fujio was back in his class, you looked at the note, which had Angel written on it. What does that silly man have planned now?
~
“You’re still using Fujio to see me.” You fed Katsuki a piece of sushi over your shoulder. You were currently sitting between his legs, his arms wrapped around your waist and you leaning completely into him. The huge, super-secret mission that Katsuki had given Fujio was inviting you to the sushi place you’d gone to when the two of you had first met. He’d booked a private room for the two of you and had a huge spread prepared for when you arrived.
Katsuki hummed, resting his chin on your shoulder. “Hey, I thought you would like that cute romantic shit.”
He reached over to grab a cup of saki, but he’d already had a couple cups. Quickly, you took the cup from him and placed it back. “Ah, no more drinking. I’ve had enough of drunken Katsuki. As adorable and cuddly as he is, it’s much harder to get him home.”
“Hmm, fine, but only because my guardian angel told me to,” he purred into your ear, kissing the junction of your neck. You roll your eyes; who would have thought that Katsuki would be someone who liked wordplay?
This man was much sillier than you expected him to be, giggling as he opened his mouth for another piece of sushi. Not to mention clingy and needy. Relaxed Katsuki was so entertaining now that he wasn’t busy thinking stupid things. “I’ve already forgiven you; you bought me some nice plates after all. You don’t need to keep doing stuff like this.” He had been putting in so much effort, it was hard not to forgive him.
His arms tightened around you, pulling you closer. “Don’t give a fuck. I want to, so I’m going to.” He pulled one hand away and placed an envelope in your lap before returning his arm back around your waist. “I got you somethin’.”
Another gift? Flowers, dates, desserts delivered to your home, and surprise dinners. What else could he possibly have up his sleeve? You opened the envelope and pulled out the small items inside. “The happiest place on earth…Tokyo Disneyland? You got tickets to Disneyland?” You looked back to Katsuki, a slight blush on his cheeks. “You hate Disney.”
“You don’t, so I’ll go.” His eyes didn’t waiver from yours.
“Is Fujio going too?”
“Fuck no. Just you and me. Only kids I’ll be willing to take there is ours.” He snorted but then quickly squinted at you. “You must save a lot on your electricity bill.”
You covered your face with the envelope, trying to hide the stupid grin on your face that wouldn’t go away. How does he just say things like that? There is no way you will be able to stop glowing for hours now! “Shut up. You said something so adorable, I can’t help it.”
He hummed again, pressing light kisses on the back of your neck. “___.”
“Hmm?” What else can he possibly say now?
“I love you.” Your quirk wasn’t needed to tell just how happy you were that night.
Ninjago/Avatar au Pt6
The second half of Book 2 (hopefully)
(Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5)
So Garm finally reads the letter from Wu. It starts off as a normal pseudo-journal entry, but after it mentions finding the Garms old armor, but no body, it turns into more of a normal letter. Wu says that he’s missed his brother since he was banished, and that he hopes that they’ll be able to see eachother again soon if Garm is alive, and ends with Wu saying that he normally burns the letters he writes to Garm, so that no-one else finds them, but that he feels hopeful that this one could actually get to him. It’s touching stuff.
Lloyd picks up earthbending almost immediately, unlike Aang. The element Lloyd is going to struggle to learn is fire (if you don’t count his airbending being self-taught. He picked up airbending really, really fast, but bc he’s been making stuff up and trying to do what Maya did with her waterbending [Maya’s had decades to hone her style tho, not just three-ish years, but he’s like someone learning ballet only from YouTube, for only a couple of months] since there are no more airbenders [or so they think, bc none of them saw Morro airbend at the North Pole]), and I’ll get into why that is when it comes up. They haven’t had Garm start to teach Lloyd any firebending bc they’re trying to go in the order as much as they can, but Garm has finally convinced Kai to learn more than just the basics, and he picks it up really quickly.
Meanwhile, Morro is taking care of an injured Wu (and accidentally making him suffer through poorly-made tea). Now, Morro is onboard with Wu wanting to leave the Fire Nation behind; unlike Zuko, Morro isn’t trying to win back the favor of some distant parent, the only family he’s ever known is Wu, and he’s not about to abandon Wu for a bunch of people who would probably kill him as soon as they could no matter what he did for them, and Harumi made it clear that no-one in the Fire Nation is going to be extending them any mercy.
Once Wu wakes up, Morro does yell at him for doing something as stupid as taking a hit from a well-trained firebender to protect a stranger (Wu hadn’t gotten around to telling Morro ‘hey, you know that guy with the big burn scar who’s traveling with the Avatar? That’s my dead-but-not-really-dead older brother. Pls stop trying to stab him’, and Morro wasn’t there when Garm revealed his identity in the North Pole), until Wu tells him that Garm is his brother. This leads to Morro yelling out ‘You mean to tell me that the Avatar is my cousin?!?!’ And that how Wu learns that Lloyd is Garms son (’wait, what?’ ‘Have you really gone this long without noticing that the Avatar calls your brother his dad?’ ‘I’ve had a lot on my mind, give me a break!’), and now he thinks that Garm and Maya are married with three kids, one of whom is the Avatar.
They make their way to Ba Sing Se, with the help of the White Lotus. Wu isn’t the leader of them (he isn’t super old in this au, imagine what he looked like in S9, with the mustache), but he is a fairly respected member. I still haven’t come up with a Jet character who would work, and I am open to suggestions. If I do find a good character, they will definitely throw hands with Morro (mb Shade? Just cut out the romance subplot in S1 and pick a couple of EM’s to be the other freedom fighters?). And yes, Wu does get his tea shop in the upper ring (Steep Wisdom), and Morro tries to be happy and supportive, but even though he is fine leaving the Fire Nation with Wu, it does still feel like he wasted years of his life, both in chasing the Avatar and just trying to prove himself to everyone back in the Palace, so he’s pretty grumpy.
Now back to Team Avatar: at Maya and Garms insistence the kids have been picking out their little mini-vacations. They know that they only have a limited amount of time before the comet arrives, but Garm and Maya want these kids to be able to be, y’know, kids, at least a little bit, in spite of the fact that they’re growing up in a war-torn world. Kai want’s to check out that glacier-spring place by the desert, it’s kinda underwhelming, but they get fruity drinks out of it. This whole time Kai and Cole have been getting closer to each other. Kai feels a little guilty, like he’s betraying Zane’s memory, but talking to Maya and Garm about it does help him start to feel better, and it helps his over-protectiveness start to abate a little.
Jay wants to pick a really cool mini-vacation to impress Nya, and he asks the people who are in the glacier place if there’s any place around those parts, and ends up learning that about a year ago some lady showed up saying something about a huge spirit library in the desert that she was looking for. They never saw her again after that, and figure that she must have died out in the desert. When pressed (and payed) one of the artistically inclined staff members roughly recreated the sketch of the library, and vaguely remembered the area on the map she said she was going to search, and with that Jay has his mini-vacation picked out.
They set off and find the library. Cole chooses to stay outside with Ultra (who can’t fit inside) bc he thinks they’ll be safer if the only earthbender stays outside incase something goes wrong, and if they need to get out of there fast he’d only slow them down with his legs. Everybody else heads into the library and meet Wan Chi Tong (did I spell that right? I’m too lazy to check), who agrees to let them use the library if they 1) don’t intend to use the contents of the library against anyone else and 2) contribute something to his library.
Lloyd and Nya both use their wanted posters (they both thought they were awesome [Lloyd bc he’s 13 and Nya bc you can’t convince me that Nya wouldn’t be thrilled to have a wanted poster bc she’s been fucking with a tyrannical regime] and incredibly accurate considering the art had to have been done by someone using other people’s descriptions, and they totally intend on framing and hanging at least a few of their posters up in their rooms when all this is over), Kai has a copy of a poem that Zane wrote for him, Garm has his brothers letter (he doesn’t want to give it up, but he has nothing else), Jay has a blueprint from one of his inventions, and Maya has a copy of a story in a series that Koko had brought back to the South Pole over the years. Wan Chi Tong comments that about a year ago a researcher had arrived and had offered him another part of the the same series. He mentions that they should be careful, as she never left, and has been primarily researching the Avatar.
Everyone has an idea of who this mysterious researcher could be (except Jay), but they decide to be cautious all the same, just incase she isn’t who they think she is. They all start discreetly searching for anything that could be used to help them fight the Fire Nation, and they end up finding and empty placard saying something about ‘the Darkest Day in Fire Nation History’, but when they go to check part of the section on Fire Nation (that library was enormous, y’all cannot tell me that Zhao was able to destroy absolutely everything that the library had on the Fire Nation. It could only have been the last few decades/mb centuries of Fire Nation history), as well as a campsite that was full of scrolls having to do with the Avatar and different bending techniques (and a few misc scrolls about random things like cooking, engineering, etc). As they’re poking around the campsite, who else comes around the corner but Koko!
She has her nose buried in a scroll as she’s walking, so she doesn’t notice them all until Lloyd happily calls out ‘Mom!’, and goes in for a hug. Koko drops the scroll and has a happy reunion with her son and husband, as well as with Maya, Kai, and Nya, and she and Jay are introduced to each other. Koko explains that she’s been able to stay in the library so long was bc she managed to get the fox assistants to like her enough to start bringing her food and water. She also explains that she’s been doing nonstop research into the Avatar State, the Air Nomads and airbending, and the Fire Nation (though she’s really quiet about that part so they don’t catch Wan Chi Tongs attention and ire) and shows them that planetarium thing and that she discovered the eclipse. (How did she make it out to the library without a flying companion or something? SHe’s just that much of a badass.)
Koko had been saving up supplies and charting a course out of the desert, and planning to leave the library as soon as she could, but now that they’ve showed up with Ultra she can just grab her things and go. Someone, probably Jay, gets a little too vocal about how they have a chance to beat the Fire Nation, and cue Wan Chi Tong sinking the library and trying to add them to his ‘collection of specimen’. Garm and Koko are a dynamic duo, with Garm distraction the angry spirit while Koko gathers all of her scrolls and supplies together while Maya gets the kids to the exit.
Meanwhile, Cole is holding up the library, and trying to help Ultra fend off the sandbenders that showed up to capture and sell the dragon. Cole is able to put up a bit more of a fight than Toph was (meaning that he was able to get one or two good hits in) bc being in the desert doesn’t impair his vision (the sand does tank his mobility just as much as it would anyone with prosthetic legs tho), but he isn’t able to stop them or even hold them off long enough for everyone else to get out. Cole, despite being initially afraid of the large dragon, had quickly grown to be one of Ultras favorite people in their group (like, third favorite. Kai will never admit that he’s jealous), and is pretty upset that he wasn’t able to save him. More on Ultra later.
So Lloyd is really upset about losing his companion, just as much as Aang was. He doesn’t act out (for lack of a better word) as intensely as Aang, since Ultra wasn’t the last thing he had left of his people like Appa was for Aang, but Lloyd is still rightfully pissed off. He takes off shakily on his glider, leaving everyone behind before trying to search for Ultra and the sandbenders, ignoring his families protests. Koko starts working on getting them out of the desert using the route she had plotted out (using the sun and shadows to orient them and get started in the right direction), and starts planing out how long her food and water (she had the good sense to bring those from the library) will last between all of them. The answer is: not long enough.
Kai (and mb Jay too) is the one who has the bright idea to drink the cactus juice, bc while Kai, like Sokka, (and Jay tbh) is smart enough to know that drinking a strange liquid out of an unfamiliar plant is a bad idea,but the fact that it is a stupid idea doesn’t stop him. Wait, y’know what? Jay definitely tries the cactus juice, but instead of acting as out-of-it and inebriated as Kai does, he acts like he does in S9, weirdly chill and disconnected from reality. He’s still tripping balls, but he’s reacting to it differently from Kai. Cole just ends up carrying Kai piggy-back, even though the sand makes it harder for him to move (he’s crushing, and he’s the only one [adults included] whose physically strong enough to carry him for long periods of time) (also Kai awkwardly and drunkenly flirts with him. Everyone pretends not to notice for Coles sake) and everyone else takes turns holding onto Jays wrist and leading him through the desert or else he would have wandered off and died.
Lloyd gets back to them, landing hard in the sand, holding back tears bc even though he’s upset and could use a good cry he knows that they need to conserve as much water as they can. He’s got his family there to comfort him (even if Kai and Jay are kinda incapacitated atm), which does help him a bit, but he’s still rightfully upset. They find the abandoned sandbender skipper thing, find the vulturewasp hive, and come across the sandbenders. Cole is able to pinpoint the sandbender (no idea who this guy would be, Ninjago character wise) who lead the others to take Ultra via his voice bc Cole a) was trained in a myriad of performing arts thanks to his father, primarily singing b) has perfect pitch and c) never forgets a voice bc of that.
Lloyd goes full Avatar State, but is comforted and calmed down by his parents while everyone else books it. The sandbenders tell them that they sold Ultra to some guys who were going to take him to Ba Sing Se, and then they take them out of the desert (with the sandbenders getting the Death Glare from all of Team Avatar the whole way. Koko totally punches the sandbender who lead the others to steal Ultra once they’re out of the desert.)
They make their way to Ba Sing Se on foot, with Lloyd trying to get a handle on his emotions (and worrying everyone in the process), and they run into a family with an expecting mother/wife (I am also taking suggestions for who these characters could be. I’m pretty tired while typing this so I can’t think of anyone) and try and get on a ferry to Ba Sing Se. Cole, whose father is well known and wealthy, uses that fact, his double amputee status (he ‘accidentally’ slips out of one of his prosthetics. Kai catches him before he hits the ground), and his acting skills to get them tickets without passports.
And we get best girl Pixal back! She helps Team Avatar help the pregnant family go through the Serpents Pass, and it goes pretty similar to cannon, except instead of a situation where Sokka is overprotective of Suki, Jay picks up on how much Pixal likes Nya, and sees that Nya, his crush, reciprocates those feelings, and gets a bit passive-aggressive w/everyone, but Pixal especially. It doesn’t last long, bc Jay is a hormonal teenager who realizes he’s being a dick fairly quickly, but it does help fizzle his crush on Nya a bit (sorry again to any hardcore Jaya shippers who were hoping for that in this au, but it’s really not my cup of tea).
They also help deliver the couples baby, but Maya and Koko are the ones helping take care of that. Team Avatar get to the outer wall, just to see a huge Fire Nation drill heading closer and closer to the wall, ready to start tearing through it...
