Chapter 3:
Over time, you grew less and less worried with Leon’s nice behavior. Your math grade has gone up significantly, surpassing a low C which is a passing grade, but since the tutor sessions have become much more bearable, you haven’t felt the need to stop going. Besides, you have an A streak to fulfill.
Your friends stayed suspicious about the frat boy’s intentions, however. The way you’d become so unbothered with everything relating to him had them stressed, yet at the end of the day, “no asshole can hold up a facade like that for this long”, as per Sky’s words.
Easygoing is the best way to describe Leon at this point. A gentle soul, from what you can tell. He goes out of his way to hold the door for you, share his food with you whenever he brings it, and he even gets excited with you whenever you get an A on any of your assignments or tests. It makes you happy that you held out for him.
“And that makes sense to you?” Leon was standing next to you, leaned over with both his hands on the table. You were both in the study room, only this time you had finished everything math related. Thanksgiving break had come and gone so everything had shifted towards the finals before Winter break, meaning now you were using the space to go over the study guide for the final given by one of your other professors, though it would’ve been nice to have your math study guide to burn into your brain since it’s your biggest struggle.
“Yeah, this is easy for me,” you mutter, hand against your mouth as your eyes move back and forth across the packet of information in front of you. Having Leon leaning over you had been commonplace since mid-November. He turned out to be very nosey. “Shouldn’t you be focusing on your own classes?”
You didn’t need to look at him to know he was extremely confused by your study guide. “Uhh.. nah,” he stood upright and slowly made his way around the table, sitting down in front of you with a small groan as he relaxed into the seat. “I’ve made it through the past couple years here without ‘em. No need for ‘em now.” You nodded to the side at his, bringing the pen you were holding up to your mouth to nibble on the end of it. “Makes sense…”
It took awhile before you noticed his nervous fidgeting, looking up from your study guide to give him a worried look. “Are you bored? I can finish up in my dorm if you-”
“Do you want to get dinner with me tonight?” He cut you off, his eyes meeting yours before the room fell silent. The question was so sudden and you weren’t expecting anything like it, so it just had you confused. You must’ve looked it, too, since he moved his eyes away from yours while crossing his arms. “I mean-.. Y’know, figured I’d ask..”
Seeing him get nervous was always pretty cute to you, such a handsome guy getting worked up over you never failed to flatter you. “Oh, yeah! I’d like that, actually..” You giggled when Leon looked back at you, soon grabbing your few supplies to put back into your backpack.
Relief spread across his face, moving to stand as you collected your items. “Good, okay, uh.. How’s Olive Garden sound?” To the average college student, Olive Garden was some high class fine dining. Anyone would be a fool to say no to an offer like that.
Just like your friend told you not to do, the absolute biggest no-no when it came to these types of college guys, you let Leon get even closer. It was just dinner in the beginning, but you started seeing him outside of study sessions afterwards with him going out of his way to seek you out and hang out with you and you the same. “Just going out to dinner” turned into dates real fast, faster than you even had time to process.
You’ve almost completely forgotten about just how nasty he was towards you not three months prior with how he doted on you. Leading up to finals week, Leon made sure to bring you food after noticing your long study habits. He wouldn’t even give you a choice, just a simple “whaddya feeling tonight?” over text. He’d hang out in your dorm with you while you ate, much to your roommates dismay, and sometimes he’d just show up for no reason other than to see you. You’d blush and shy away from his flirting, he’d tease you, and you’d get mad at him for distracting you in a playful way. Even if you wanted to be actually mad at him, you couldn’t, not with that cheeky little grin he’d give you.
You never questioned his nosiness as he familiarized himself with your dorm, rummaging through your drawers as you whined at him from the bed to stay out of your stuff. Honestly, you’d probably look through his stuff too if you had the chance.
Having a boyfriend during your first year of college wasn’t exactly a goal, and you don’t know if this is even a relationship or not, but you weren’t complaining. It was so nice having someone care about you like this, especially when it’s someone who’s, to you, way out of your league in almost every sense. Though he wasn’t the most outgoing, he was very well known, and being seen with him meant the attention he received was spilling onto you. Hell, you didn’t even know he played football until he passed by you with his friends, all in their football get-ups. He never bragged about any practices or games to you, maybe you should’ve asked about the various bruises and scuffs he’d show up to the study sessions with. Oh well.
Every night during finals week, Leon would take you out for dinner under the guise of “destressing from the long day”, not that you minded, of course. You were growing increasingly anxious about your last final, the big one; math. The two of you were sitting in his black Jeep Wrangler as it idled out in the parking lot of McDonald’s, snacking on what was left of your meal in a comfortable silence. The combination of the heater blowing on you and the food in your stomach was settling you, if only a little.
Leon kept his eyes on you the entire time, hand rubbing soothingly up and down your thigh. His hand was so warm. “You’ll pass, I know you will.” His soft touch barely had you cracking a smile, looking through the windshield as large snowflakes quietly fell, lit up by the streetlights surrounding the parking lot and by the headlights on his car. The snow had accumulated an inch on the ground already, the sun having set nearly two hours prior. Winter and its short days, a blessing and a curse. “I don’t know..” You could feel his eyes on you, yet yours were stuck staring out at the falling snow. “My nerves always get me. I’m gonna make the stupidest mistakes and then once the final grades are in my parents’ll wanna see and then I’ll be surrounded be disappointment and shame and guilt.”
You closed your eyes and slumped your shoulders when you felt Leon squeeze your thigh, finally able to turn and look back at him. “You know that’s not how it’s gonna go.” He let out a breathy laugh when you raised an eyebrow. “Oh come on, you’ve got it down! Plus, you had an amazing tutor~..”
With a dramatic groan, you rolled your eyes as he wiggled his eyebrows at you, unable to hide your smile. “I guess, but you weren’t that amazing..”
Leon moved his free hand and brought it up to his chest, holding it there with a strong pout to feign hurt. “You wound me.. Was I nothing to you?” His smile quickly returned when you clicked your tongue at him, chuckling through his nose. “Seriously though, I’ve never met anyone as smart as you are. You learned how to do that kind of stuff incredibly fast, so I don’t have a single doubt in my mind that you won’t demolish that final.” His compliments always left you blushing and at a loss for words, playfulness giving way to a more heavy air. “Thank you, Leon. Really, thank you...”
You were too wrapped up in watching the snow fall through the windshield to notice when his hand pulled away from your thigh, or just how guilty he looked as he silently watched you.
The math final was easier than you were expecting. You understood basically everything that had been put on it minus a couple things that you scolded yourself for not brushing up on last minute. Grades weren’t put in until a week or more after the finals were turned in, yet you were confident enough in how it went to feel good leaving that room afterwards.
This first semester had really tested your limits, but you were lucky to have your friends, lucky to have Leon. It didn’t feel strange having him around anymore, it felt natural, real. There weren’t enough ways to thank him for all that he did between tutoring you and taking care of you overall.
You yelped with laughter as Sky picked you up, their arms around your midriff, waving you side to side as they yelled how proud they were of you. Ella only stood by and laughed along, making sure to take a picture of the moment as keepsakes. “Guys, I don’t even know if I passed yet!” You pushed away from Sky and they placed you back down on the ground, smoothing out your shirt which had you swatting their hands away.
“But! You survived and that’s always cause for celebration.” Ella pocketed her phone and took a couple steps forward so you were all standing in a small circle now. “You really pulled through these last few months.”
Thanks to Leon. “I did, huh?” You looked down with a bashful smile, shrugging before pulling the strap on your backpack further up so it wouldn’t slip off your shoulder. “You know,” Sky started, resting their elbow on your other shoulder while pursing their lips as they slowly turned their head to look at you, “you’re not very good at hiding your love for Leon..”
You weren’t trying to hide it, it's just that even the vaguest thought about the man had you flustered and stumbling over your words like a fool. All you could do now was glare at your friend, who just raised their hands up in defense. “Hey now, not poking fun, just making an observation.”
Ella placed her entire hand over Sky’s face and pushed them away from you, ignoring their muffled complaints as she looked at you. “We’ll always be suspicious because we’re your friends and we care about you, but as long as you’re careful, we’ll keep our distance.”
Sky pulled Ella’s hand off their face, making gross-out noises while wiping their face off. “Blegh, anyways, yeah. Keeping our distance, but still watching from afar.” They pointed their index and middle finger from their eyes to yours before smiling.
You hung around in their dorm as Ella finished packing up her suitcase. She’s had her plane ticket back home booked for a month, constantly expressing her need to leave as soon as finals were finished during that time. Sky was leaving the same day you were, which was in two days since you both drove or were driven here. Leon stayed at his frat house all school year, so you were thankful to have two people sticking around so you weren’t left all alone.
Unfortunately, this meant you had your own packing to do. Thankfully though, your roommate had already left, sparing you from their menial chit-chat. Packing was almost cathartic in a weird way, almost as if you saw going home as a reward for working yourself to the bone at this university. Quiet music was playing from your phone as you gathered the essentials, you’d be coming back in three weeks so there wasn’t any need to pack up everything.
A gentle knock knock knock at your dorm’s door startled you from your thoughts, causing you to blink a few times to make sure it wasn’t just coming from the song that was playing. Slowly, you made your way over to the door, and before you’d even opened it fully, Leon slipped his way through, side stepping into the room with a cheeky smile.
You scoffed as you watched him weasel his way in, hand stuttering away from the door handle to allow the heavy door to shut. “You could’ve waited until I opened the door all the way.”
“I knocked, though.” Mischief was evident in his tone as his eyes landed on the suitcase sitting on your bed. “Getting ready to leave?”
“Not for another couple days. Just.. wanna be ready.” You walked past him over to your suitcase, continuing to fold the last few pieces of clothing you wanted to bring back home. “Perfect, got some extra time to spend with you then.” Leon chuckled, now standing next to you to watch you get back into rhythm.
Having him admit that so casually had you nervous, cheeks heating up as you glanced over at him. “Wouldn’t you rather hang out with your friends?” The eyebrow raise he gave you made you stumble as you tried to elaborate. “N-not that I don’t want to hang out with you! I just feel like you’d have more fun celebrating the end of the semester outside of a stuffy dorm.” You tried to laugh away the embarrassment, moving your focus back to the suitcase as you zipped it up.
“I can celebrate with those slobs any time, but for right now, I would really like to be around you.” Leon carefully lifted your suitcase off the bed, placing it near the door for you. “You’re nice and quiet. They’re not.” You sighed after lifting yourself up onto your bed, sitting criss-cross right in the middle while meekly smiling to yourself, watching him walk back over to stand in front of you.
“By the way,” he said, turning his head to look out your window for a split second before looking back down at you, “I haven’t had the chance to tell you how proud I am of you for coming out of that math final. I know results take awhile, but you seem pretty pleased with yourself.” He crossed his arms and bent forward a bit with a teasing smirk as he not-so-subtly looked you up and down.
You covered your face with your hands and laughed into them, a poor attempt to hide your ever increasing blush. After letting your hands fall away, you bunched the end of your hoodie up in them, fiddling with the thick fabric as you replied. “Yeah, uh.. I think I did alright.” You were going to say more, but you stopped when Leon’s hand found its way under your chin, tilting your head back so you were looking at him. “C’mon, don’t downplay this, baby. You did amazing and you know it.”
Your mind went blank at the pet name and you were finding it hard to breathe with the way his hand felt under your chin. The air in your dorm was a tad tense before, yet now it just felt heavy. Stifling. All you could do was stare up at him with wide eyes, eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly as you tried to think of something, anything to say.
“Did I catch you off guard?” He said with a breathy laugh, gently tilting your head side to side as he studied you. And you let him. Your mouth felt dry, face hot as he leaned in closer. “You’re so beautiful..” His voice dropped an octave and his eyes were lidded as they stared into yours. “So smart, so brave..” Soon his lips were brushing against yours, whispering out a final “So perfect..” before pulling you into a gentle kiss.
It didn’t take long for you to relax into the kiss, eyes fluttering shut as you tried to mimic Leon’s movements. His hands cautiously slid down to grasp at your waist while yours moved up to cup his face, pulling him closer. He slowly crawled onto the bed with you tugging him along, leaving you laying down as he hovered over the top of you, knees planted on either side of your legs while one of his arms moved up to support himself.
He was doing his best to be careful with you, noting your nervous tremble as his right hand slid under your hoodie. “M’gonna take care of you, ‘kay?” He hummed against your sensitive skin, kissing along the underside of your jawline. You only nodded as his lips trailed down your neck, stopping when your hoodie got in his way of the rest of you. “Need you to say ‘okay’ f’me, baby.”
Nearly whining when he stopped, you nodded again a bit more vigorously this time, voice barely a whisper. “O-..Okay..” You propped yourself up slightly when Leon pulled his head away from your neck, his eyes meeting yours as both his hands were now playing with the end of your hoodie. “Y-Yeah, okay…” You repeated.
First it was your hoodie, then it was his jacket, and before you knew it, he had you in his arms, chest pressed against yours as he reached around to unclasp the hooks on your bra. You immediately brought your arms up to cover your breasts once Leon leaned back after pulling your bra off, self-consciousness suddenly settling in. “Hey hey, no need to hide from me..” He cooed, eyes raking down your body as he grabbed your hands to pull your arms away, thumbs rubbing circles onto the tops of your hands as he stared with a crooked smile.
You took the opportunity to take in his form; muscular, a couple old scars and freckles standing out to you. He was gorgeous, through and through, no doubt about it. He took notice, craning his neck to look down at his exposed chest before looking back up at you. “Looks good, huh?” That got a small giggle out of you, at least.
He slowly guided you back down onto the bed, his hands firmly rubbing up and down your sides. “You look even better, though. Layin’ pretty beneath me~..” His right hand found its way to your panties, running his fingers along the band before trailing further down to press his middle finger against the gusset. You gasped at the feeling while he laughed quietly, leaning back a bit further to catch a glimpse of the wet spot he was feeling. “You’re soaked.. Lil’ bit of touching got you all worked up?”
Your hands flew up to hide your face again as he rubbed his finger up and down your clothed pussy, letting out small gasps and whimpers all the while. You shakily nodded, subconsciously spreading your legs further apart as he slotted himself between them.
“Tell me something, babe.” Leon paused his movements to look up at you, huffing a chuckle through his nose when he noticed you’d covered your face. “You seem real nervous, so I’m jus’ wonderin’...” Dread settled in your stomach at his implication, you were hoping he wouldn’t ask this. “Yes..” You whispered, parting your fingers over your right eye so you could look at him. “Don’t make me say it, please…”
He hummed low in his chest, eyes darkening as they moved back down to your panties. “Juuust wonderin', is all..” His finger started to caress you over your panties again while adding a bit more pressure. “There’s no shame in being a virgin. Only means I gotta make this extra special for you~.” You moved your hands to shoot him a weak glare and he smiled in return. “Didn’t say I couldn’t say it.”
Once he felt your tremble start to dissipate, he brought his hands up and hooked his fingers on the band of your panties before slowly tugging them off, letting out a low groan as a string of slick stayed connected to the gusset from your leaking pussy. “Fuck, that’s hot..” He breathed in sharply through his teeth, taking your panties into one hand before grabbing his hoodie, stuffing them into the large pocket in the front.
Leon didn’t waste any time putting himself back between your legs, languidly dragging his middle finger up and down through your folds. He relished in your every noise, even as you tried to hold them in. “You ever finger yourself before?” He asked, voice gravelly as he repeatedly pulled his finger back to watch your slick cling to it by a string.
“... no..” Your innocence had him groaning to himself again. He could ignore the guilt eating away at him long enough to handle you the way you needed to be handled. “Let’s give it a try then, yeah?” He hunched over some more so his face was hovering above yours, middle finger now gently circling your clenching hole.
“P-Please be careful..” You whimpered, slightly panicked at the feeling of his finger nudging your entrance, one of your hands grasping the bed sheets while the other held onto his bicep that was closest to you. “I’ll be so careful, baby.. I promise I’ll be careful.”
And he was. What would’ve normally been a relatively quick process turned into ten minutes of Leon tenderly stretching you on his fingers. He studied your face the entire time, whispering sweet words into your ear, even letting out deep moans to encourage your own timid ones. You needed the time. There's no rush.
He moved down to pair his fingers with his mouth, tongue running through your wet folds as his fingers stroked your walls. The noises you let out when he sucked on your clit were intoxicating. You were intoxicating.
Once Leon pulled his mouth and fingers away from you, you knew what was coming. And when he paused for a moment after standing up, hands hooked in his boxers, eyebrows tightly furrowed together in thought, that only served to make you more nervous.
“..Leon?” You managed to say, propping yourself up on your elbows as you watched his shake himself out of his head. “Yeah, sorry, just… thinking about the best way to go about this. Don’t wanna scare you.”
“You-... I’m not gonna be scared..” You looked from his face down to his boxers, eyeballing where his fingers were still hooked in them. He just clicked his tongue, nodding his head to the side with a soft “if you say so”.
As much as you didn’t want to admit it, you were scared. There wasn’t much frame of reference, but Leon was… sizeable, for lack of a better term. And it wasn’t just his size that was intimidating to you, it was the idea of sex itself. Sex has always been made out to be this big grandiose milestone by everyone around you, so now that you’re about to actually do it is giving you the same sinking feeling that public speaking does.
“You’re scared.” Leon had pulled his boxers all the way down without you noticing, letting them lay abandoned on the floor as he took the small step back towards you. “No.” You were quick to object, eyes still glued to his dick. He chuckled and tilted your head back by your chin once more. “Yes, you are, and it’s okay. I’m not gonna kill you with it.”
“You might…” You muttered under your breath, eyes lowly making their way back down to his dick as he got back up onto the bed and in between your legs. “I promised you I’d be careful, right?” Leon grunted, his hand squeezing the base of his cock before giving it a few slow strokes.
You swallowed dryly, pulling your eyes away and back up to meet his. “Yeah…” He nodded, giving you a wobbly smile as he teased his thumb across his tip. “Right. So don’t worry, I’ve gotcha..”
You only nodded, doing your best to keep your eyes up and focused on his face as he lubed himself with your juices. Your eyes widened once you felt him line himself up with your hole, body jerking a bit at the slight pressure.
“You gotta relax, sweetheart..” He used his freehand to stroke your thigh before pulling your right up over his shoulder, hand moving back down so his thumb could rub your clit. “Just breathe and focus on what my hand’s doin’, alright?”
The two of you were lucky that a lot the people in your dorm building left already, cause when his tip finally pushed past that ring of muscle, you let out an embarrassingly loud yelp. It hurt, but it was also such a new feeling that it simply startled you. “Okay, okay, that’s the hardest part. You did it.” You panted, hands tugging at the blankets beneath you as he stilled. “Okay…” You copied him, nodding your head once you felt you were ready for him to move.
The sting of the stretch was the hardest to get by, however it was easily masked by just how full you felt after Leon was fully sheathed inside you. So new, yet so good.
You let out a shaky sigh, eyes closing as you rested back against the bed. Your heart was beating and your body felt hot. It was actually a nice feeling. “You- ugh.. You can move.. a little..” You breathed out, grunting softly when you felt him twitch.
“Mhm..” Leon agreed with only a hum, not trusting his mouth enough to speak. He pulled back an inch before thrusting just as slowly, eyes darting around your face for any sign of discomfort. A minute or so of taking it slow led to deeper thrusts, following your command as you asked for “harder”, “deeper”, “faster”. All with that sweet voice that he couldn’t say no to.
You were eating away at him and you didn’t even know it; wrapped around him so perfectly, that delicious honey of yours dripping down his balls, moaning his name, looking at him with those glassy eyes, fuck. He fits you so well.
He kept his eyes closed, unable to look at you any longer. Ignoring the guilt was harder than he thought, even with him thrusting into you like he owned you. You weren’t his, he can't have you the way you want him to-
“Shit-!” He gasped, too lost in his own thoughts to notice you’d grown close until you abruptly clenched around him, sloppy cunt milking his cock. His thrusts stuttered to a stop as he buried himself deep into you, cumming with a whine of his own. Looking at the wall with bleary eyes, he furrowed his brow again, chewing on the inside of his cheek while he caught his breath.
Clarity crashed into him when you wrapped your arms around his neck, pulling him down into a weak hug. He needed to go, but how could he leave you like this? God, he was so fucked.
He should’ve just stayed an asshole, that would’ve kept you far away. And he should’ve never taken that stupid bet. All this for a pair of panties to wave around like a trophy.

Of Cupcakes and Skulls | Part 6
(A/N) This is a bit on the shorter side, but I honestly struggled with the description of the bakery. I hope that it's good enough that ya'll can paint a picture in your mind.
Pairing: single dad! Mafia! Simon x baker! Reader
Warning: kissies, fluff, angst, comfort, Simon is fucking smitten
Synopsis: Based on this post by @lunamoonbby
Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 | Part 6 | Part 7 | Part 8 | Part 9
Simon chuckled quietly as he watched you stare at your shop. Your eyes were wide and your jaw hung open as he gently maneuvered you so he could get out of the car and pull you along with him. And once you were outside, you could see the entire storefront.
You didn’t know what detail to focus on first as you took in the changes that happened overnight. Until now, it had been a generic and rather boring exterior, something you always wanted, but never had the money to change. But nowit was beautiful.
The storefront was freshly painted in a dark green color, with metal accents decorating the usual plaster wall and a canopy overhead. The windows were sparkling in the sun, offering an easy view into the warm interior of the bakery, brimming with new furniture and counters. There were flowers everywhere, outside and inside, decorating and offering a sweet scent as you stepped closer. Additionally to the tables and chairs inside, there were a few scattered outside, in an area that was fenced off by wooden planters, and filled with tiny trees. Heaters hanging on the wall overhead, for the colder months.
You glanced back at Simon, who just smiled and gestured for you to walk inside. So you did.
As soon as you opened the door, a pleasant jingle rang through the air and the smell of the wood furniture filled your nose. You took a few more steps, hearing Simon following you inside, as you looked around. It felt warm and cozy, everything you ever hoped your bakery would feel like.
There were multiple showcases for your bread and pastries, as well as a whole nook for coffee and tea making, with brand-new machinery and cups. Just looking at everything, you knew it must’ve cost thousands of pounds. When you turned to look at Simon again, he was leaning against the wall next to the doorway that led to the kitchen. With a nod of his head, you walked through the revolving doors and entered…heaven.
You had already been happy with the equipment you had before, but now the room was filled with state-of-the-art machinery. Whether the giant mixer or the dishwasher, everything was brand new and extremely expensive. You knew that because you regularly gazed at them on the website, dreaming of the day you could afford them. And now you had them.
Suddenly, two strong, warm arms wrapped around you, pulling you against a hard chest. You relaxed against it, your eyes still flickering from one corner to the other, taking everything in.
“The windows are bulletproof, with multiple layers so they should be able to resist almost anything. And the door is a security door, it will lock automatically at a time you set and can only be opened by a combination of a key and code you have to enter into a keypad that’s beside the doorframe. I also went ahead and had the best alarm system installed, as well as cameras in the shop that are wired to the security firm, as well as to my people. If we see anything suspicious, we’ll be here within minutes.”
You turned around in his arms, wrapping yours around his waist, resting your chin on his chest as you peered up at him. He smiled down at you, pressing a quick kiss to the tip of the nose, before he straightened back up and spun you around, slowly walking you to the walk-in fridge. His grip on you tightened as he felt you tense up at the sight.
“We installed a new one.”
He was whispering in your ear, hot breath faning over your cheek.
“It almost functions more like a panic room than like a fridge. It can only be locked from the inside. The controls are also inside, so if something like last night ever happens again, they can’t play around with those. Also…”
He stopped in front of the door and opened it, gently leading you inside, where he pointed to a corner that was void of any shelves.
“This is a latch that leads into an actual panic room. Once inside, it locks down, and nothing except for maybe a nuclear bomb will be able to get in there. It’s outfitted with screens that show what’s going on up here, a landline, and a burner phone, as well as a bed and enough food and water to last three people two weeks. It has everything you could need in case anything happens. And as soon as it locks down, there will be an alert sent to my phone, as well to the phones of all of my employees.”
He spun you around again, gently cradling your face in his hands.
“Like I said, I won’t let anything happen to you. No matter where you are.”
You nodded, a soft smile on your face as he carefully wiped away the few tears that were running down your face. It had been so long since you felt so loved. Still, smiling, you watched as Simon slowly leaned down, your eyes fluttering shut as his lips ghosted over yours.
“Boss?”
Thanks to your proximity, you heard and felt him sigh, clearly annoyed, as he slowly pulled back, before he glanced toward the entrance to the kitchen. There was a tall, blonde man, clad in a dark suit. He glanced at you, before focusing on Simon.
“What is it, Graves?”
Simon’s arms remained around you as he glares at the man who just interrupted you two. The blonde man obviously felt uncomfortable as he kept glancing between the two of you before he finally spoke up.
“A call for you. It’s urgent.”
Simon nodded, pecking your lips before he pulled away and walked to the man, whispering a quick ‘I’m sorry’ as he was leaving. You just smiled as you watched him go, taking the opportunity to look around by yourself. You peeked into all the cabinets and every corner, finding new, amazing, and really expensive utensils. Even the cutlery was new, replaced by a set that had been designed by one of your favorite chefs.
The more you looked around, the more your fingers started to itch, wanting to try everything out. You walked to the wall, where you had installed a hook to hold your apron, and were pleasantly surprised when you saw that it was more or less the only thing that remained of your old bakery. As you were about to pull it on, Simon interrupted, clearing his throat as he leaned against the wall next to the swinging door that led into the kitchen.
“What are you doing?”
He looked at you, amusement swimming in his eyes. But you just shrugged.
“Bake something. I really want to try everything out.”
With a chuckle, he crossed the distance between you two, wrapping you up in his arms again.
“May I ask…with what ingredients?”
That’s when you finally realized that he was right. There was nothing here you could use to make something. Not even flour.
As you stood there, surprised and still, Simon squeezed you tightly, before taking your apron and hanging it on the hook.
“Come, that’s our next stop.”
Please consider reblogging and following me! It helps a lot!

Newly Found Happiness
Norman Nordstrom x Reader
Summary: Norman thought he only longed for the child he lost, but then he found you. You opened new doors for him.
A/N: Inspiration for this fic came from @purplelupins please check out their work as well.
Warnings: age gap, mention of abuse, smut
Norman was extremely suspicious of you. Every movement you made, he was listening closely.
Every night, he barely slept, waiting for you to make a move or run.
You often went to the bathroom, which caused him a great fear, fear that you would run. But you never did.
You were the girl who offered yourself to him, being in an awful financial position and an abusive relationship, it was easier for you to become Norman's.
"I'll bear your child, but please don't lock me up here all alone! I'll be good I promise! Please don't leave me down here."
Norman himself wasn't sure why he listened to you. Why he believed you, but he did.
He let you roam his home free, with a shock collar around your neck nonetheless, but you were free.
And you were good.
So good to him.
He honestly thought you were playing it up, but no, it was who you were.
You cooked, cleaned and helped him even when he didn't need your help. You insisted on helping him wash because he did the same.
This far, you didn't manage to get pregnant, sadly, not like you two weren't trying.
Sex was very essential part of your relationship with Norman, and if you were honest, you found yourself falling for the man quickly.
One evening, you pulled him close, moving to sit on his legs, ready to remove his pants when he stopped you.
"Your period is close, the chances of you getting pregnant are low." little did he know you wanted him that night not to get pregnant but to enjoy your night.
You pouted as you fell asleep that night.
Of course, he would be tracking your period. He paid attention to everything.
But once your fertile window was open, oh boy, man couldn't stop. For an old man, he sure had great stamina.
One morning, you went to the kitchen, ready to start breakfast when you saw the back door was open. You looked behind yourself, around the corner but found no one inside.
"Norman? Did you leave the door open?" you yelled but no answer came. You looked out the door but saw no one. "Norman?" again, nothing.
You looked around, then inside.
Then a cold shiver ran down your spine, what if something happened?
Where did you see Norman the last time?
"Norman!" you ran upstairs, into the bedroom and bathroom but found no one. "Oh please! You heard me when I slightly knocked the picture on the wall, Norman please!" you headed back to the door, taking a step outside and honestly, it felt bad. You looked around but took no further steps.
"Girl?" the voice came from inside and you swore you nearly punched him for scaring you.
"I-I found the door open... I didn't know what was going on."
"I left it open for the dog."
"Oh. Okay. I thought someone got in." you let out a sigh and headed back inside, opening the fridge and getting the eggs.
Norman said nothing. He only listened as you moved around.
He wondered why you didn't run. He made sure to give you enough time. But instead of running, you started looking for him in panic.
He moved behind you, raising a hand and getting the collar from you. You looked at him with a confused expression, wondering why he removed it.
"You won't need it anymore." you didn't even realize that this was a test. He wanted to know if you will run or not, and you didn't so he trusted you.
"I'm making scrambled eggs."
"Perfect."
---
After that day, his relationship with you really took a turn for the best.
He allowed himself something he didn't for years, he relaxed and leaned on you.
He let you do things for him, he now willingly went into the shower to allow you to wash him, and he did the same while placing kisses on whatever skin was in front of him. Which usually ended up being your shoulders.
It was nice to see him behave so softly and kindly. It was definitely a side of him that he hid away from the entire world and you were definitely glad you got to see it.
These days, when you woke up in the middle of the night, he no longer worried about you running away.
He found himself more worried about your safety than anything. He walked around the house trying to find a way to make your living more comfortable.
He heard you making small noises in the house, you often did that, so he would know exactly where you are.
And he liked it.
It was one of the small things you did to keep him happy and content.
He loved how gentle you were, he could sense in the beginning you would flinch often when he moved suddenly, no wonder with your past.
So, he paid more attention to not move suddenly or in a certain way.
Even sex like this became a lot better.
He would be gentle as usual but now, you would have more and more sex. It was no longer just about the child he longed for. It was fun and passionate.
The man knew how to use his tongue for sure.
He would say he liked you very much, you would say you were in love.
And your love soon took fruit.
You started to feel ill a couple days ago, you even missed your period, but you didn't want to get your hopes up.
With a pregnancy test in your hand, you went into the bathroom, and you came out two minutes later.
You let out a long sigh.
Negative.
False alarm.
Only an oven, no buns.
I made you very sad.
"What's wrong, Sweet?" he asked during dinner.
"I for sure thought I was pregnant, but the test said negative."
"Tests can be faulty, maybe we should take you to a doctor to double-check."
"I didn't want you to pay for the bills."
"Nevermind the bills, if you feel like you are pregnant, it is worth a check, we go tomorrow."
No point in arguing with him.
---
One oven, one bun.
The doctor confirmed your feelings were right. You were indeed pregnant, the test was wrong.
You looked at the ultrasound in your hands as you stood outside the hospital.
"Norman... we have a baby."
"So I have heard." he said as he stood beside you. "Wish I could see it, can you describe it?"
"It's like the smallest little bean. Definitely looks like you."
He laughed a little.
"How can they look like me if they are only a bean?"
"Mother's intuitions."
He smiled. "I hope they will look like you. I just know you are beautiful."
"Oh?"
"The lady at the reception, gasped when she saw you."
"Maybe she wasn't expecting me to be with an older man?"
"No."
You laughed and grabbed his arm, walking him back to the taxis.
"Now you have a room to decorate." he said as he sat in the back with you.
You gave the address to the driver who took off.
Norman held your hand the entire ride, and couldn't hide his smile nor could you.
As you both headed home, you had a really good feeling about your future but it is how it was when you were with Norman.

This came to me in a dream but reader doing an acupressure move on Aaron’s hand whenever he’s too frowny and tense that makes him see stars and basically drift up to nirvana and all the tightness in his body release and the first time they do it he’d be so confused like why do you want my hand??? but okay here take I- 🤨🤨😐😦😧🤤😵💫
Bonus points bc the team would be like YOU CAN TURN OFF HIS OSCAR-THE-GROUCH MODE??? NEVER LEAVE THIS TEAM.
Just wanted to share idk what part of my uncultured brain spawned acupressure theory this evening but I’ll take it 🤠<3
Aaron's grumpy again. Most of the time he is, at least within the confines of his work hours. It's hard to smile when you're looking for abducted teenagers, but if he frowns any harder, he'll get stuck that way.
"There has to be something we're missing," He presses, narrowed eyes surveying the crime scene photos, "This level of violence is extreme, there's no need for this much overkill."
"Maybe he's fascinated with the blood," Reid suggests, hands coming up to aid in his explanation, "Y'know, some serial killers only kill for blood. There's various reasons for it, maybe they collect it, maybe they drink it, maybe they have some event in their past that makes it significant to them, but whatever it is, the killing isn't what they need, the blood is."
"Well these are teenage girls," Derek sighs, "Maybe the unsub lost a girlfriend or a sister in a pretty bloody way? Like a shooting, or a car accident or something?"
The table falls silent, each profiler extrapolating possibilities. You're halfway to reaching a possible conclusion, a suggestion about hunting on your tongue, but you see Aaron's fingers brush together, and it distracts you. He does it when he's anxious, and you're noticing it more and more lately.
You reach for his hand instead of speaking. You'll help later, when Aaron isn't suffering like this. Your fingers brush against his skin as you take his palm into your grip, and he looks at you from the side of his eye disapprovingly.
"Y/N," He murmurs, but no attempt at keeping his voice silent masks it from the other silent members of the team, "Now isn't the time for personal-" You squeeze at a tender spot on his hand methodically, "Relations..."
His face relaxes, wrinkles and ridges ebbing away as his eyes flutter shut involuntarily. You grin as wide as possible while sitting in front of bloody crime scene photos, happy you're able to provide even momentary relief.
"What was that?" Aaron looks at you, half suspicious and half dazed.
"Acupressure," You announce proudly, "It helps, doesn't it?"
"Yes," Aaron nods, running his fingers over the patch of skin that you'd pressed on, "It does."
"Where'd you learn that?" Rossi leans across the table.
"I was getting migraines from stress," You admit, "It helps to calm me down."
"Well, you're more of a magician than Spencer, Y/L/N," Derek grins, "You just melted that frown right off his face."
"Actually, acupressure isn't magic." Spencer starts, and he pointedly ignores the sighs that echo around the room, "It's a pseudoscience that originates from Chinese alternative medicine, and it works by targeting pressure points in your body that are supposedly linked to your 'life energy'. There've been several studies surrounding it which produced varying positive results, the most remarkable of which have documented illnesses actually being cured." He blinks once, twice after finishing, lips curving up into a half-smile that pudges his cheeks where they end.
"Well, uh, card tricks aren't magic either," Prentiss is the first to speak, "So I guess none of us are wizard-ready."

Thank you so much for doing my first request!! I love your writing, alot!! if your requests are still open, can i have another request?
Basically the sparda boys + v with therapist!reader because they need therapy! Also reader is secretly a billionaireso reader pays the bills in the devil may cry office, spoils them with the sutff they like and always checks on them, telling them that they can let their feelings out, like a therapist !!
if your requests are closed, you can delete this <3
Thanks so much!! Don't worry, requests are still open. Enjoy!
Sparda boys + V x Therapist!Reader headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-Dante's the definition of "but I'm fine" after talking for 2 hours.
-Expect him to be very moody and sulky during therapy cause he's not used to venting on such a personal level before.
-His jokes get progressively lamer as each layer of trauma is shed, eventually revealing himself as the sad, broken man he really is.
-Is very surprised when all his bills magically get paid by an anonymous person who keeps sending him money and pizza to Devil May Cry every week.
-Never realizes you are his mysterious benefactor but he appreciates what is being done for him and doesn't hesitate to tell you all about his secret caregiver. It makes your day to hear how happy you make him.
-He slowly becomes more comfortable with talking his feelings out, and once that happens, he becomes an unstoppable chatterbox.
■ Vergil ■
-Vergil hates the very idea of therapy because he believes he is a MOTIVATED individual who is independent enough to handle his inner issues on his own.
-However, you're very persistent and manage to get him to sit down for a session, much to his reluctance.
-You're oddly kind to him and listen to all his troubles with an open mind--something he's not used to. Though at first he is very cagey about everything, Vergil gladly warms up to you and confesses his deeper secrets.
-He finds it very odd that a secret benefactor has just started sending him presents and money only a few days after he began seeing you as his therapist. It could be a coincidence, but then...maybe not.
-Although he wants to know who is sending him gifts, he decides to just let his mysterious benefactor run their course and not spoil their intentions. Who knows, they might reveal themselves someday.
-Starts writing thank-you notes and leaves them out on the doorstep for you to find.
□ Nero □
-Nero is against therapy for personal reasons. He thinks he alone should know all his secrets and issues, and that he alone should deal with them. He doesn't need outsiders meddling in his affairs.
-He demonstrates his dislike for therapy by being the most rebellious, recalcitrant jerk to have ever walked into your office.
-He talks back to you almost all the time, is extremely rude, and once stole a set of ballpoint pens from your desk because he didn't like how you were jotting down everything he said.
-When he finds random gifts and things being sent to him, as well as his bills being mysteriously paid, Nero gets very suspicious. We're you giving away his address to stalkers?
-Slowly, Nero realizes that his mysterious benefactor is only looking out for him and supporting him, though for what reasons, he has no idea.
-He's grateful for all this help, but still a little wary. He doesn't trust you yet, but maybe with time, he will someday.
● V ●
-V is probably the only one here who actually agrees with the idea of therapy.
-He was a little nervous at first, but seeing how warm and welcoming you are to him relaxes him a lot.
-He's shy and doesn't say all that much at first, but over time, you manage to coax him into speaking to you more.
-He is pleasantly surprised when gifts and bits of money start appearing at his doorstep nearly every day, because last he checked, he didn't have a steady job.
-He can't figure out who's doing this, but he's grateful all the same. He'd love to meet whoever's behind this and thank them for their generosity.
-V's taken up baking treats and leaving them on the doorstep in cute boxes as a way to thank his unseen gift giver.

Thirty To Regain
Parings: Kim Minji x fem!reader
Sypnosis: 10 months of loss, thirty to regain.
Genre: Slight angst
Memories came flooding in of the bitter yet sweet memory of your first love as you reenter your apartment for the first time in 10 months.
Kim Minji was everywhere you looked, in the kitchen, living room, bedroom, everywhere. There wasn’t a single place that stood without her memories.
You felt as if you were going crazy as you heard a ghostly echoes of her laughter.
The place you once called “Home” haven’t been the same since she left. Because she was your home but now that she’s gone, home doesn’t exist.
You turned to your right, facing a bulletin board filled with polaroid pictures of you and Minji.
You took one of the pictures out, it was taken right when she stole your first kiss. You haven’t smiled like that in ages, or even smiled at all.
As you were looking through all of the photos, a sudden phone call rung, startling you in the process. “Hi mom” you immediately relaxed after hearing her voice.
“Hi honey, when are you flying back home?”
“Maybe next week? And how are you mom? Is dad giving you a hard time?”
“I’m managing, but honey, your dad is getting suspicious, but I can hold him on for a little longer. Just make sure to be back before your engagement party.”
You frowned after hearing the two last words, you hated getting reminded of that, after all it’s the reason why things are the way it is.
“Right. Don’t worry, I won’t disappoint you.”
“Oh honey, you could never disappoint me. Your happiness is my happiness, I’ll support whatever you decide to do in the end. Just know that mom will always be on your side, I love you.”
“I love you too mom, good bye.” You felt better after the call, your mom have always been your biggest supporter since day one. Can’t say the same for your dad though.
You held your breath as you went into your bedroom, it was still the same as how you left it 10 months ago except for the fact that her stuff was gone.
All was left was a teddy bear, one that she won for you at the carnival that you guys went to, on your first date.
You lifted the toy and traced its fuzzy fur. A teddy bear filled with memories of the times Minji would jokingly call him your son. She gave it a purpose, but now that she’s gone, it’s just an object.
Before you even knew it, tears were threatening to fall as you were clutching the teddy bear to your chest. Fresh air, you needed fresh air.
With a heavy heart, you placed the bear back to its rightful position before you ran out of your apartment.
You went anywhere your feet would take you to, you just wanted to stop reliving your memories.
But walking through the streets of Seoul wasn’t any better, she was everywhere being a member of NewJeans after all.
They were getting bigger and bigger everyday, you have always been their biggest supporter then and even now. Even before you got together with her, you were also extremely close with the girls.
So when Minji went back to the dorms with a broken heart after you had broken up with her, they were all understandingly upset at you.
Especially Hyein who’s your little cousin, she wouldn’t talk to you for days but then found out about your dad’s plan of marrying you off.
You had to beg her not to tell her members but it was too late since she already told Hanni, Dani, Haerin, and luckily not Minji.
That night, your phone was blowing up with concerned messages from the girls. You were always grateful to have them in your life, they treated you like family.
It felt like time was slowing down as your feet carried you through a familiar street which you missed dearly. Soon, you find yourself heading inside of a cafe you once visited regularly.
The smell of roasted beans and baked goods hit your nose immediately after stepping foot inside of the cafe.
You decided that it was a good time for a hot drink. After putting in your regular order, you waited a bit for the worker to finish with it before finding a place to sit.
You sipped your hot chocolate and was about to pull out your phone when you were interrupted by a gasp from behind .
“Yn unnie?” A familiar voice called out. You turned around and was shocked to face Hyein and Haerin who were both as equally shocked.
“Unnie we missed you!” Your cousin immediately went to hug you with Haerin doing the same after the younger girl stepped aside.
“Why didn’t you tell me that you’re coming back?” Hyein pouted and slapped your arm playfully, causing you to let out a chuckle.
“Sorry, I don’t plan on staying long anyways. Just for a few days since…well, uh, I’m getting engaged next week.” You explained regretfully, your voice dropping when you spoke about the engagement.
“What? That’s so soon…what about Minji unnie? You still love her don’t you?” Haerin questioned with her curious cat like eyes, you couldn’t help but soften up.
“Of course I do, Rin. I still love her a lot, but it’s complicated.” Truth to be said, all you wanted to do was run back to Minji and beg her to take you back.
“Still, I think Minji unnie deserves to know about it, it’s only fair.” The younger girl insisted gently, earning an agreeing nod from Hyein.
“Haerin unnie is right! Yn unnie, you should tell her, she doesn’t deserve to stay in the dark.”
Both of the girls looked at you pleadingly, they were sick of having to hide such a big secret from Minji, it didn’t feel right.
But you didn’t feel any better, it was eating you alive.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, she’ll only hate me more. Plus, I’ve already broken her heart and to find out that I’m getting married too? I can’t do that to her.” During the time when you were still dating Minji, the biggest thing that you guys had after love was trust.
You both trusted each other so much, never hiding anything from one another. So hiding this from her even if you guys aren’t together, was killing you inside.
The girls stayed quiet for a moment, trying to find the right words to comfort you.
“You’re wrong, she doesn’t hate you. Unnie still have your pictures hung on her wall and stuff and sometimes I would find her just looking at it for 10 minutes straight.” Hyein admitted after seeing the sad expression that laid on her cousin’s face.
“Really?” Your eyes widened up at the information before looking at Haerin to confirm.
She nodded. “Yeah I witnessed it too, more than once actually.”
Hyein placed a hand on your shoulder, looking at you pleading. “I feel like a child of divorced parents. Unnie I really don’t like your future fiancé, she’s so mean.”
You sighed knowing full well that she was right. You’ve known your future wife since you were kids but never liked her. She was snobby, mean, and an entitled brat.
She used to always follow you around and would hit anyone who tried to talk to you, Hyein was one of them. She was only 6 when she got pushed to the ground while trying to play with her older cousin.
It was when the younger girl’s resentment started to grow.
“I know Hye, but I don’t have a choice.”
“Still, you should talk to her. You both really need it.”
You nodded in defeat, you could never reject your baby cousin. “I’ll think abo-“ you didn’t get to finished your sentence as you got interrupted by the notifications from your phone.
A sigh escaped your lips as you read one of the many messages that your dad spammed you with. Totally ruining your once happy mood.
Turning to Haerin and Hyein with a sad smile, you said. “It was wonderful meeting you girls, but I have to take this, sadly.”
You hugged them both for the last time before disappearing out of their sight.
“Who were you two talking to” Minji popped out of nowhere, startling the two girls in the process.
“Uh, we were talking to Y-“ Hyein was stopped by Haerin who stomped on her toes. “No one, we were taking to no one”
“Are you sure?” They nodded in sync, it was suspicious but Minji decided to not dig deeper as it was already late at night.
“Okay then, let’s go back to the car, our manager is waiting.”
The question from your mom left you dazed. Is she worth fighting for? Of course she is.
Kim Minji will always be worth it.
You couldn’t believe that you were actually proceeding with the plan that you and your cousin made.
But there you were, your heart pounding as you were standing alone backstage, waiting for Minji to arrive.
The last time you were this nervous was when you were asking her to be your girlfriend.
Seeing her again after so long would be hard, but you had to fix things or at least try.
Being too clouded with your thoughts, you hadn’t realized that she had already arrived in the room, her eyes opened wide as if she had just saw a ghost.
“Minji, can we talk? Please.” You looked at her pleadingly, facing her was nerve wreaking, she was still the same Kim Minji whom you love more than anything in the world combined.
“What are you doing here?” She spoke in a harsh tone, one that she never used with you.
But then again, you should’ve prepared yourself for this reaction, you were the one broke her heart after all.
You took a deep breath, trying to seem calm but in reality, you were anything but calm. “There’s a lot to explain. I made mistakes and left you in the dark but I can’t hold it in any longer. I know I have no rights to want this from you but I need you to listen.”
Minji’s stare softened a little. You knew deep down she still cares. “What is it?” You could hear the hurt inside her words. “What could you possibly say to fix this?”
“Well, for starters I’m getting engaged next week.“ You started off with the main root of the problem, it was a bad idea but you weren’t thinking at the time.
Minji looked at you and scoffed. “What? Seriously? First, you broke up with me without telling me why, then you disappeared for like 10 months and now you’re back just to say that you found a new lover who you’ll be getting married to?” She glared at you with arms crossed. “You’re ridiculous Yn, actually.”
Your heart was aching but you chose to continue gently, looking at her with sincerity. “I know I am and I’m so sorry, no amount of apologies can fix this. I still love you Minji.”
Minji frozed at your words. “No you don’t” she denied. “Not anymore at least.”
Your heart dropped. “I understand that you don’t believe me and you’re mad, b-“
“You’re right, I am.”
“But please listen to what I have to say.” You looked at her pleadingly. You would go as far as to beg on your knees, anything to get her to listen to you.
“What is there to say? You’ve found yourself a new girl, that’s it.”
Your heart dropped at every words that were coming out of her mouth. Especially since it couldn’t be further from the truth, you just needed to explain yourself before you go crazy.
You reached for her hands, meeting her gaze with open sincerity. “Please just listen, I love you so much, it feels like I’m going insane!”
“You can’t just leave and shut me out of your life just to come back and say that, it’s not fair.”
“Well, I had no choice! My dad never approved of us, he wanted me to marry a woman I do not love, if not he’ll do anything in his power to make you disappear from my life completely. So I complied, I did not want to lose you Min, but I had no choice.” You felt like you were being suffocated on spot, the walls around you were spinning around. You wanted to disappear.
Minji’s once cold face turned into a concerned one before turning into a slight frown. “You idiot! You should’ve told me the truth from the start!” She exclaimed as she slapped you gently on the shoulder.
“You’re right to call me an idiot, I should’ve told you from the start. But I was afraid that if I let you know then I’ll have no choice but to go against my dad’s wishes.”
“What changed?”
From the moment you arrived on earth, you’ve never went against your dad. You’re your dad’s daughter after all, but you were always miserable with him around.
But not being around Kim Minji was even worse than any punishment combined.
Squeezing her hands gently with regrets staining your confession. “Everyday without you have been hell. I should’ve realized it sooner but now I know that my love for you is stronger than any threats, even if it means that there will be trouble.”
She stayed quiet but you knew that she was listening. That was your thing, understanding each other without needing words to say it.
Gazing into her eyes, your heart spilled open. “You are my home, Min. My heart belongs to you. Always has, always will.”
A heavy silence fell. She knew you better than any, even yourself, every emotion held in you have been made obvious to her. Her eyes held an answer yet, and rightfully so trust should be re-earned.
“Thirty days.” Minji said gently yet firm. But you felt confused. “Thirty days?
“I’ll give you thirty days to regain my trust.” She took a steady breath. “Show me your sincerity, make me believe that we can work.”
Your eyes sparkled as you nodded in determination. “Thirty days, I promise to be better, no secrets, I’ll tell you everything.”
Squeezing your hand, Minji replied. “I want to believe in us again.”
“I’ll make you believe.”

「Thoughts of my troubles crumble to pieces and scatter」
★ sometimes, you have your own dumber moment.
★ not like academically stupid, but the fact your own decisions could lead you into troubles. How so?
★ you cannot walk an inch without yourself getting tripped and fell as a result. You thought sliding on a stairway wearing a thick fluffy coat would decrease the falling damage — spoiler alert, it doesnt. And once, you also covered yourself in snow and call it a snow bath, then ended up fell sick (sampo behaviour/j).
★ and ofcourse someone would be so worried about you, none other than gepard himself.
★ he thought you were only clumsy, but then he realizing you are so careless and act to an extreme degree.
★ it means, you just cant stay out of trouble.
★ knowing that fact, gepard would be so cautious and protective of your act.
★ "y/n, I will bring the stuff. That looks so heavy," gepard insisted.
★ " why? I'm strong enough to bring it myself!" you asked curiously. He never answered back after.
★ though he remains quiet, deep inside he's caring for you and dont want you to get hurt! Only if he's able to express those words instead leaving you clueless with his protective and aware act.
★ he doesn't want his love to be hurt, it's like his duty to taking care of you. Dark and menacing alleyway at night? Let's take another path! Suspicious looking food in shop? Gepard will cook you his food instead! You fell off the stair? He'll pick you up as if you're a princess!
★ "y/n, y/n? Are you hurted? Do you need me to take you to the doctor? If there's anything sprained, please tell me!" his worriness that soon dominates him.
★ you'll reply with a chuckle instead. Your own recklesness somehow gave you immunity to pain at this point, but watching how gepard looks so worried of your state, you wanted to lighten up the mood. "How silly.. You don't need to exaggerates it so much! I will just sleep it off and everything will be fineeee,"
★ ofcourse your solution to your own trouble is sleeping, sleeping is your cure by this point.
★ however, gepard find your answer not pleasant to him. He would be your personal doctor and will feed you many healthy food to speed up the recovery of your possible injuries.
★ you can't help but to fall in love with him again. His caringness and the way he treat you, it's full of countless love within.
★ he'll wrap both of his arm around you securely, he find himself relaxed whenever he doing it with you.
★ "I never want to see you get hurt ever again, my love.." he whispered. As if the sadness will soon revolves in him, you proceed to assure him with a kiss on his cheek.
★ "thank you, I appreciate that you always looking out for me," you said as you caressing his cheek. Soon, it left him feel embarrassed; yet a burst of happiness filling him, he always feel like his heart beats faster whenever you do it. You can even see he blushed so hard, you always love this reaction <3
★ before both of you fell asleep, you both will cuddling as gepard would humming you a lullaby.
★ if you are around, he feels comfortable with his singing, but mostly he feel more happy if he's able to do it around the one he loved.
★ his voice is so endearing, its a bliss for your ears. There's something in his voice that manipulate you to feel sleepy, starting your journey into the dreamland.
★ noticing you fall asleep, gepard would brush your hair to the back and kiss your forehead.
★ "goodnight, love".

I had to make myself forgiven for the angst of this fic, and a proposing fic was suggested, so... Hope I made it up to you @mandy426 @novamariestark 🥹❤️
Warnings: so much fluff, long distance relationship, age gap, proposal, romantic!Alden, couple taking a bath together, Alden being a mama's boy, talk about a Las Vegas wedding, riding in a limo
Let me be your husband ~ Alden Parker
"Tim, remember you're on call this weekend if there's an emergency." Alden said to his senior agent, grabbing his bag that had been sitting behind in desk the entire day. "I better leave now if I want to catch my flight." He made sure his desk was cleared, computer off and put the bag over his shoulder.
"Need a ride, Parker?" Torres offered.
"Thanks but my Uber is two minutes away. If you feel like picking me up on Sunday night, though..."
Nick chuckled. "Gotcha. Just give me the time."
"Say hi to your lady!" They collectively said as Alden walked over the elevator. He nodded at them with a smile.
He cannot wait until your assignment in Los Angeles is over so you can come back home to him. Flying back and forth every other month is a nightmare, and the time you have together is absolutely not enough. But this assignment was such a big opportunity for you and your career, Alden encouraged you to take it, saying that your couple would survive those two years apart. So far, so good. He just never imagined how hard it'd be.
Six months left. Alden was counting the days and so were you, even though you loved what you were doing in LA. The position was everything you ever wanted, and when your company offered it to you, you were ecstatic. The only thing that you may doubt was your relationship with Alden. You actually considered turning the offer down, afraid that you'd lose the love of your life. But luckily, you have the most amazing man and partner in Alden Parker.
You've had a very long week. Finally making it home, you poured yourself a glass of white wine, and texted Alden to ask him when you could facetime. He was all you wanted and needed, but unfortunately work caught up with him and he had to cancel his visit. Extremely sad about that, you waited for an answer that wasn't coming so you decided to draw yourself a bath. FaceTiming Alden while you're naked in the bath could be quite fun. You've been discovering lots of different ways to be intimate in the past year and a half.
The tub was practically filled up when there was a knock at your door. Suspicious - because you don't really have visitors - you looked through the peephole and you started to shake from happiness. The door couldn't get opened fast enough.
There he was, in all his glory.
You didn't give him time to put his bag away before jumping in his arms and kissing him. "You're here." You whispered between kisses.
Alden made a few steps forward while carrying you so he could kick the door close for his foot. You stayed in the small entrance, just greeting each other, feeling each other's body and smell. You almost forgot how intoxicating his scent was.
Finally breaking apart, you slapped his chest. "You lied to me, dickhead!"
He chuckled. "I didn't. I really thought I wouldn't be able to make it until last night. And then, the team suggested I surprise you."
"They are a terrible influence." You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him again.
"I'll make sure they know that." He held you tight. "I missed you so much."
"Missed you more. We can't let my bath go to waste, can we?" You teased, biting your bottom lip.
"Oh no, we do not waste water in this house. Lead the way, princess."
Your back against Alden's chest, soaking in the hot water and relaxing. It was the best you've felt in a long time, probably since the last time he was visiting. His arms were wrapped around you, holding you close to him. Every now and then, you felt his soft lips against your neck and shoulder. You could feel his cock twitching against your back, as his hands gently touch your tits and legs. It was long until his fingers were brushing your intimate parts. "Den," you moaned.
"Just relax, baby. Let me take care of you." And he did just that.
It felt incredible to sleep in his arms again, you almost didn't want to fall asleep. Traveling after a rough week obviously exhausted Alden, and it didn't take long before he was snoring against you, his head buried in the crock of your neck. You played with his hair and beard until you drifted away too.
You had no particular plans the next day, just wanted to enjoy being with the man of your dreams. "We could go to Las Vegas." He offered over breakfast.
"To do what?"
"Get married."
You choked on your coffee. "We said we'd wait until I'm back in DC." Alden held your hand and played with the engagement ring on your finger. You looked down there and remembered his proposal.
Alden was having lunch with his mom, like every other Saturday. He's been a mama's boy since he was born and on top of those lunches, he would call her every two days, just to check on her and talk about everything and nothing.
When he told her about you, Mrs Parker wasn't thrilled and it was only because of the age difference. She doubted that a girl half her son's age could be serious about him and she didn't want her baby to have his heart broken - again. Obviously, Alden knew it'd be her reaction, so he quickly organized a meeting between both of you, and by the end, you had stolen his mother's heart.
Since then, every lunch started with her asking about you. Why weren't you joining them? How were you doing? How was work? ...
"Well there's something I need to talk to you without her knowing." He told his mom.
"You are not breaking up with this girl, Alden."
He chuckled. "That's literally the opposite, ma. I wanna propose to her."
Mrs Parker gasped as if she was the one being proposed to. She immediately asked how he was planning it, if he had the ring - he didn't so she offered to go ring shopping with him -, what he was going to say. "I'm actually going to know your help." And he told her the entire plan.
As a date night, Alden invited you to go see a musical at the Kennedy Center, starring your favorite actor. You were absolutely delighted about it, and loved the show from beginning to end. Alden did enjoy it too, but what he loved the most was how your eyes sparkled and your smile widened. Walking out of the venue, hand in hand, Alden listened to you going on and on about your celebrity crush, especially about one particular song they sang. It took you a long moment to notice the limo parked there.
"Fancy!" You exclaimed and started to walk on the other side. But the driver standing there had opened the door, and Alden didn't move an inch.
"That's our ride."
And he wasn't kidding. Alden helped you inside the limo. He offered a glass of champagne as the car moved. "What is happening?" You giggled and blushed, kinda overwhelmed by this much of romance and luxury. You never thought you'd get to ride a limo one day, but here you were. Drinking champagne with the man you love, the smell of leather and his cologne intoxicating your senses. "Where are we going?"
"Just enjoy the ride my love." He leaned in to kiss you, and you didn't waste a second before intensifying it. All teeth and tongue, you were ready let Alden ruin you here and there. You didn't know if the driver could see you, but he could probably hear. "Easy Tiger," he smiled against your lips.
You didn't know how long the ride lasted, but you spent the entire time questioning Alden, about the whereabouts, or what this and that buttons would do. "Well this one, love, does something amazing. Press it." You did and the window rolled down. Alden laughed and you gently slapped his chest. "Jerk!"
"But seriously, press this one. I think you'll like it." Suspicious that he was making fun of you again, you still pressed the button he was showing. You heard a noise and looked up. The ceiling trap was opening itself. You grinned at Alden, who winked. He stood up, offered his hand for you to join him. You quickly kicked off your heels in order to not ruin the leather seats, and stood through the trap. Washington DC was unfolding in front of you in a new different way.
The wind was hitting you, but you didn't care at all. You felt amazing. Carefree. "People who say that money can't buy happiness are liars." You took a deep breath, it was almost too much oxygen. "Look at the city, baby, not me!" You exclaimed.
He shook his head no. "I'm looking right at my happiness."
Could he be any more perfect?
You grabbed him by the neck and brought his mouth to yours. Your tongue immediately went for his, not caring that you were offering a show to anyone in the street at this moment. It didn't take long to feel his cock twitching in his suit pants and you teasingly touched him, earning some nice noises from his mouth. "You do deserve to be taken care of,"
"As much as I would love to, we're almost there."
The car stopped and a few seconds later, the door opened. Alden got out first and offered his hand to you. It didn't take long until you realized where you were. "We're--home. Already?" You laughed and kissed him.
"One day, we saw a limo driving by us and you said you wished you knew what it felt like. Now you do,"
"Indeed! And it was absolutely amazing! What have I done to deserve you?"
You eagerly kissed him again, but he eventually stopped you to get inside. Much to your surprise, he stopped you when you were walking towards your shared apartment and dragged you to the rooftop stairs. "Babe?" You questioned but he just smiled.
You were taken aback once again.
The rooftop was fully decorated. Plants, flowers, lights and a couple of blankets. "I wanted to get a fire pit but it's technically not our property so--" Alden said before you could even form words. You looked at everything around you, tears forming in your eyes. It was the most romantic thing no one had ever done for you. You were speechless and didn't have time to process that Alden was on one knee, holding a velvet box in his hands.
"W-What?" Speechless. Breathless.
"I couldn't wait anymore." He chuckled. "Ever since I've made up my mind, I wanted to ask you there and then, but I had to make it as special as you are."
"Alden--" you breathed out, crying.
"If you cry now, I'm gonna cry too and won't be able to say everything I want to, baby." You tried to take a deep breath and let him continue.
"I spent most of my life feeling like there was something missing in my life, in me. I theorized a lot about what it was, I tried to convince myself it was this thing or that person. I even fooled myself for ten years with-- anyways," he chuckled through the tears. "I'm not fooling myself anymore. I feel complete. I am complete right now, because you were my missing piece, sweetheart." He grabbed the hand that wasn't covering your mouth. "Sometimes I just look at you and wonder how a young, smart, funny and gorgeous thing like you can love me, but then you look at me, and I feel like that most loved person on this earth."
"you are." You cried.
"Other times, I tell myself you should be with someone your age, someone you'll have more time with. But, I'm a selfish man. I want you all by myself. I want to be the one you love, the one you sleep next to every night. I want to be your husband more than I want you to be my wife. Does that make sense to you?" He sniffed with a laugh.
"Yeah, I understand what you mean."
"Okay good." He kissed your knuckles. "I love you more than life itself. I'd take hundreds of bullets for you, and believe me, I know how it feels."
"Stop it."
"My princess, my babydoll. Will you do me the honors and let me be your husband?"
"Like you have to ask."
Alden laughed through the tears because it was exactly the kind of answer he expected from you.
Obviously, the wedding was put on hold when you moved to LA. And getting married in Las Vegas had never been talked about before. "We have to wait for you to come back home, but I'm done waiting for you to be Mrs Parker. We can still have the ceremony we were planning in six months, but I want to marry you tonight."
"You're impossible to say no to, but I'm done waiting too. Let's do it, husband."

Bloodlust - Part 1
A/N: This is the first chapter of my Astarion Fanfic. It will mostly follow actual in game conversation, but I will expand on them greatly. The main reason I'm writing it is because I felt like there was a gap in all these stories: none of them had an explicitly evil or morally grey Tav. I like my anti-heros and I want to share this love to everyone.
Leeith is the character I'm playing (first run, still at act 2). I made up a whole backstory for her, so excuse me while I also try to develop her.
I have a plan of where things will go and I might keep writing even after the events of the game.
Other than that, feedback is very much appreciated. I tried to stay true to the companions personality, but it is hard to write characters which aren't my own. Hopefully it won't ruin your experience.
I will also try to add a quick doodle to each chapter.
The smut will come in like 2 chapters, but I did leave some breadcrumbs around.
There's lots of Gale hate because he insulted me and I never forgave him.
Word count: 4.6k
Summary: Leeith is quick to mistrust. Astarion seemed extremely suspicious that night. Fortunately, he was just thinking about their companions blood. The pair decides to take some time to themselves, away from the party.
Read on AO3
Leeith’s eyes were transfixed in the fire, chin resting on her knees to relax. The moon was high up in the sky, casting its light on the camp. They had set it up in a clearing, where a large rock stood in the middle, overseeing all the tents that had been put up around it. The place was quiet and green, covered on most sides by the mountains, except that for a little lake, which sang its song: calm waves caressing the shore. Some bedrolls were laying around the fire, for whoever preferred to sleep near the pit, rather than alone.
The drow was one of them: being in the centre of camp meant that it was going to be a lot harder for any threat to sneak up during the night and slit her throat without anyone noticing. Plus, she didn’t know how to put up a tent. It just looked horrible, barely able to ward off the wind and rain, giving free reign to the cold to bother her all night long. The underdark was much better, full of caves and alcoves to hide, with little rain to worry about. The only thing she would miss if she returned back home was the gentle light of the moon and all the stars.
The drow extended her hand out, testing the flexibility of her wrist: she had slipped in a puddle of mud and down a small cliff the day prior. In the fall the clothes had got torn apart, too damaged to repair even with magic, so Shadowheart had to part with one of her suits. It wasn’t too bad, and the drow was actually happy with the change: the dark cloth suited her better, bringing out the colour from her pale grey skin. Her hair was a black, grey and red mess, as if she was hit by one of her own eldritch blasts, but that was the norm for her. It was much easier to just take a dagger and shorten it whenever it was needed, than having to deal with braids and coils, just for it to look like a bird nest right after any fight.
The stinging pain returned when she flicked her wrist too fast: the bone wasn't broken, but the flesh still swelled up. That was her casting hand and the recoil from her blasts wasn't helping the recovery. Alas, she couldn't take the time to rest. Everyone relied on her planning and she certainly didn't trust anyone enough to go out without her present to keep track of everything.
Many of her companions were reliable fighters, above all Lae’zel, strong and able to perform all tasks with extraordinary efficiency. She respected her, even if she was hard to deal with at times: her arrogance came from mastery of her abilities, so it was righteous. Shadowheart was quiet, but didn’t seem the type to backstab anyone. The cleric had two motives: she wanted her mission to be over and the tadpole out of her brain, the best way to get both was to travel together. Then there was Wyll and Gale: the first seemed too much like an honourable hero with a heart of gold. The drow didn’t trust him one bit. Her methods were ruthless and often involved cruelty, so she would rather keep him occupied with other errands, than take the chance of him making a scene during a crucial moment. Gale, well, he was just an asshole and not the funny kind. His ego was inflated like that of a beholder, always spewing some bullshit about how great he was compared to everyone else. She didn’t feel like that at first, but his comment on her being just a lowly warlock, rather than a learned and mighty wizard like him, had hit just the wrong nerve. He was relegated to cannon fodder for now.
Which left her with one last person, reliable for sure, but something always felt off. More off than him being a blood-sucker spawn. Too nice, too perfect, too flirty. Just enough mistakes to make her believe that maybe that was his true self. Enough said about his past for her to know what she was dealing with and what his motives were: control the tadpole, kill Cazador, gain freedom. Commendable. And useful. Just as a spawn, Astarion already had an edge, a natural talent that only required a few drops of blood to kick in; a full vampire would have proved a most formidable ally. But only if it was governable.
As she laid there, analysing and planning, Astarion's eyes were darting around, pensively. He was trying to hide his face with the large book in his hands, staring at the words, before gazing back up again; in all this time the page had been turned maybe once or twice, so either he was reading a very difficult passage or, more likely, was just trying to conceal some plot that was forming in his head. A good few times Leeith caught him staring at her, but their eyes never met. She wanted to lull him in a sense of false security, so that the drow could learn what his intentions were and why he was checking everyone out.
Her patience though was wearing thin and Astarion seemed pretty content to stand there still. The elf’s sanguine gaze fell on her again, but this time, it was met. She could almost see her reflection in it: they shared the same eye colour, though for her kind it wasn't unheard of to have red irises. The vampire didn’t flinch, appearing nonchalant even after having been discovered with his hands right in the pie.
Leeith stood up, dusting some ash away from her bottom and walked over to him with a smirk.
"Astarion!" she started. "How are you doing this fine night? Is that book any fun? You seem extremely absorbed by it." Her arms followed her words theatrically, to end up crossing in front of her chest. Astarion closed the book, holding it below the armpit.
"There you are. Quite a fine and serene night, made all the better by your presence." He put the book on a nearby table.
"You're too gracious. I didn't know surface elves were still taught courtesy… or discretely ploying." He seemed unfazed, still observing her from under his brow. Leeith walked past him, to sit in one of the many pillows which adorned his tent, giving it a pretty cosy atmosphere. The bit of blood splatter around, she did not mind. The elf soon followed, remaining at arms distance.
"I was just thinking about you." He sighed and shook his head with grace, the curls falling barely out of place. "And about that delicious moment we shared the other night." Leeith didn't even need the gestures towards her neck to understand what he was talking about. This had yet to explain why he was studying everyone, but she was starting to get a hitch of the reason.
"The moment when you bit me?" She decided to still play along.
"The very same." He nodded with a smile that looked genuine. For just a moment, his gaze fell down at the ground, absorbed in thought. His expression changed and though it still held a smile, it was also a lot more serious. For a moment more, no words were uttered, so that the only thing they heard was the lake and the crackling fire. His hands fiddled together for a split second, in search of the right words
"I've had this… condition for two hundred years. But, truth be told? You were my first." Those last few words were quiet, almost a whisper, but a smirk still lingered on his lips. The drow raised an eyebrow, harbouring disbelief and a slight weird sense of pride, if what he said was true. She didn’t get to rebut with anything, that his face returned jolly and his eyes skimmed over everyone once again, studying them and thinking gods-know-what in that wretched mind.
"In all these years I've only fed on beasts. Drinking the blood of thinking creatures is a different thing entirely." The vampire leaned closer, barely able to contain his hunger. "You were delectable." He purred, gently tracing Leeith’s neck, where two dark punctures were still more than visible. Leeith flinched at the unexpected touch, suddenly aware of how close they were laying. Astarion moved back, amused and excited, happy almost. "And now, I can't help but wonder how the others taste!" He laughed, gesturing towards the camp. Leeith holstered the imaginary dagger she was holding, grateful she didn't have to deal with a traitor. The smile returned to her lips, as she dropped her defences.
"Are you looking at other necks? I'm hurt!" Every word was filled with fake indignation. "I really thought we had something special, instead here you are, traitor, after I took your bit-rginity… that sounded better in my head." Astarion chuckled, if at her or at her pun she couldn't tell.
“Don’t worry, there’s enough of me to go around. I’m a man of tremendous appetites!” He placed a finger over his lip in thought. “Not that I think they’d volunteer, of course, but it doesn’t make me any less curious” He rested his weight on his elbow stretching his legs out. She did the same, propping her head up with one hand. Most men and women here on the surface looked so plain, with their brown hair and brown eyes. Even those with some special characteristics, like the devils, had little that interested her. But the vampire was different, skin and hair so fair they glimmered in the light and eyes red like her own, that spoke of subtle blood and violence. It was the charm of bloodlust that made him so attractive in her eyes, of stopping at nothing to survive and thrive, but revelling in the chaos caused, not be ashamed of the cruelty. More than once Leeith needed to defend the vampire from their travelling companions, especially the morning after being bitten. Truth be told, Astarion seemed more than ready to suck her dry that night. It made sense now: after two hundred years of wandering in the desert, thirsty and with rocks and knives thrown at him, the pale elf had found a source of clear water.
"Take Gale for example," the voice shook her awake from the vision of them laughing from high atop a mountain of corpses. "He strikes me as someone whose blood is rich, refined, like a well aged brandy.” Astarion twirled an imaginary glass. “But the Gith? What in the hell would she taste like?” The elf looked up, catching the drow’s eyes.
“Surely something exotic, like an Amnan liqueur.” Discussing the taste of blood wasn’t in tonight’s plan, but they were both having fun.
“Ohh! That sounds very appealing. I’m almost convinced.” She didn’t know if the other’s could listen and, frankly, she didn’t care. For the first time since leaving the underdark, the drow had met someone that did understand her. Being labelled as a mindless monster, just because he had been cursed to be a spawn, isolated him. Leeith too was always labelled as a low-life murderer because of her lineage, but she enjoyed the fear she’d strike in those below her.
“Could I convince you to kill someone less useful?” She raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
“No one is getting killed, I swear. We’re just- two friends talking.” He waved his hands between them. “So - in the spirit of theoretical questions - if you had to take a bite from one of them, who would it be?” He got closer, raising his eyebrow. For once he sounded actually happy, not just cheeky and overconfident. Leeith pondered, staring up at the stars. She glanced at him, noticing how his hair captured the colour of the moon and the light of the fire.
“You, of course.” His eyes opened up and he couldn’t hide a grin.
“Oh! I’m flattered. Who knew you had such taste.” His ego kicked in again.
“That… and the fact my blood doesn’t come free. It’s only fair I get a taste of you, after I shared my own.” Leeith reached up for his neck and, like he had done previously, caressed his scars. The feeling of cold skin was strange, even if she had lingered only an instant.
“Of course. It was a gift. One I do intend to repay.” His voice was much lower now, returning to his flirtatious attitude.
“All this talk made me realise I would love to get treated to a bottle of fine wine.” Leeith sighed. “You surface dwellers really do have much sweeter wines than the sour water we get downstairs.” Her gaze returned to Astarion, but wasn’t met. He was sitting back up again.
“Unfortunately, it will have to wait. All this talk is getting me hungry. I’d better find something I can actually sink my teeth into.” The vampire looked ready to be back on his feet.
A thought crossed her mind. Should she act upon it? It seemed like the perfect time and, truth be told, she was starting to get a soft spot for the elf. Laying there on those pillows, she moved her hair away from the neck, freeing her scars.
“And where would you go? Am I not delectable anymore?” She grinned, raising her arms above her head. “Unless of course you have acquired a taste for goblin.”
“Oh- well.” He fumbled, surprised by the offer. “Of course. I didn’t expect you enjoyed it enough to offer yourself again.” His cocky tone would have almost sounded perfect, if it wasn’t for the fact he didn’t move. He was stuck sitting there, waiting for something; a question still lingered on his tongue. Yet still, he couldn't help lick his teeth and lips.
“Don’t flatter yourself too much.” Leeith was tense, but still tried to keep a calm demeanour. “As you said in the past, I need you strong. If a bit of my blood is enough, then you can have it. I trust you won’t go overboard this time.” Astarion looked around camp. A few too many glances were being thrown in their direction, even the dog seemed to stop sniffing around just to focus on them. Leeith noticed too.
“Should we wait ‘till after dark?” His tone was hushed, but it didn’t mask his excitement.
“If it’s more comfortable for you not to have eyes on you, sure. In my opinion, it’s their fault for not looking away.” She giggled and stood up, stretching her back. “Well, I’ll go eat something more myself. Have a fun time with your book.”
Leeith returned to the fire, calling Scratch to her.
Not much time passed before everyone said their good nights to one another. Leeith spent the time studying a map of the region, thinking of ways to best ration their food during the following days of travel. The light kept getting dimmer in the fire, so she'd just chuck another log in. Scratch was sleeping beside her, shaking his paws at times. She glanced at Astarion's tent: the elf had the flap pulled down, but she could sense movement inside. They were the only two souls awake in the camp. He didn't need much sleep; she didn't feel the need to either, but her body was still weary and hurt in places. She wanted the day to be over and finally rest. The map was folded and put back in the backpack, then she walked to Astarion. The drow knocked on the floor and whispered his name. It didn't take long for him to appear.
"Yes, darling?" He was shirtless. Leeith took her time to respond, not really knowing how to ask. "Did the cat get your tongue?" Something metallic caught a ray of light. A moment later it was gone from his hands.
"I- well, are you still hungry? I am pretty tired, I kind of want to be done with today." She motioned at her bandaged wrist.
"Mh, I didn't think you were this impatient." Astarion made his voice deep, glancing at her with a seductive grin. "Well if you can't wait I'll find a boar or rabbit to snack on. Don't need to miss your beauty sleep for me." He disappeared back into the tent, but Leeith followed him.
"I can wait, just need an estimate." Sprawled on the floor there were a few bottles of blood, some empty, some full. At least the drow didn't have to ration the food for him, since he could provide for himself. More weirdly though, she also saw a pair of scissors, some thread and a small metal box full of pins. His white shirt was laying on the ground, the collar ripped off.
"I know you aren't a vampire, but you could have still asked before entering." He barked, annoyed at this invasion. The elf picked up the shirt and began to pin and sew the collar back on.
"Well, it's not like you're doing anything weird here. I didn't know you liked sewing… you could have fixed up my clothes instead of forcing me to borrow Shadowheart's!"
"I'm afraid your clothing was beyond repair even before it got torn apart. If anything that might have helped make it look better."
"Tks, I'll show you what true luxurious clothing is like; the underdark has the best spider silks imaginable, they feel like water around your body. You surface dwellers know nothing."
"And yet none of your ancestral fashion knowledge got to you, did it?" Replayed him. Leeith crossed her arms and furrowed her brow. If he was any other person, he would have already been made into a fine mist of gore, but his tone was too sarcastic for her to take it seriously.
"I'm done." he said at last, donning his shirt back on. "After you, darling." He pointed to the outside. The drow crawled away, soon followed by tonight's companion. Astarion stepped in front of her and, after making certain no one was around, directed her through a small hidden path. He was more than excited: she could see it in the way his hands trembled, his eyes flickered eagerly towards her, to make sure she was still following. Leeith caught him licking his lips once, the phantom sweetness of her blood still lingered on them.
Finally they got to a small river, with little flowers growing everywhere. It wasn't any random spot, the elf had put thought on where to lead her. Did he think a cute flower bed would have made her more trusting? Or was he just a romantic, wanting the moment to feel special for him? Not that it mattered. He didn't even need to set up a trap since the drow had offered herself.
"So?" She sat down, crossing her legs and looking up at the man. He soon followed, landing at her side, closer that he had ever been. She expected warmth to come from him, but again, nothing but cold dead flesh.
"So? Want to admire the stars before I go?" He teased, brushing her hair away from her neck. His hand fell on it, caressing it. His skin was soft and cared for, unlikely for a warrior. It smelled of fancy cologne and fabric soap.
"Maybe I will, Astarion. You don't seem that hungry after all." Leeith stretched her legs out, then lowered her head to the ground. Her eyes did search for the moon, but it was hidden among the clouds and leaves above her. Finally she shut them, bracing herself for the bite.
"What do you gain out of this? Why are you doing it?" He blurted out, not having moved an inch. His eyes were still bloodshot, but he was controlling himself. Leeith was puzzled.
"Nothing really. Why are you asking?" She lifted one of her eyebrows and rested her weight back in her elbows.
"You said it yourself, I'm borrowing your blood and you want something in return. What is that?"
"Well, I suppose it's true I never do anything for free, but I don't know. I wasn't actually expecting anything back. Again, you can treat me to a bottle of wine if you want, but otherwise, I'll be fine. It's just some blood, a good night's rest will take care of it."
"So, is this just… out of the goodness of your heart?" The way his voice got higher, it almost made him sound offended.
"Oh yes, Astarion. When the gods were handing out goodness, I skipped everything regarding not murdering people or threatening them, and grabbed bucketfuls of selfless vampire feeding acts. My soul aches for all the poor little starving vampires of this world." She placed a hand over her heart. His expression was undecipherable, a mix between confusion and indignation.
"Relax, Astarion." Leeith sighed and dropped the act, understanding his displeasure. "I don't know why I'm doing it, but it does help you, doesn't it? I see the way you fight and act after being able to eat something proper. It's a completely different you. A better you. I need that."
"Is this it?" He was still unsure. Was this it? Not even Leeith could tell. There wasn't a reason to give herself out like that. He was a perfectly good assassin even when hungry. The only ulterior motive was gaining his favour, so he’d still be on her side once killing and drinking Cazador. Not that she was going to tell him that. She scrolled her shoulders.
"Guess so." At that answer, he smirked again, returning to his old bastard self.
"Shall we make ourselves comfortable?" The vampire guided her down, supporting her head all the way. His body shifted over hers, putting his weight on his knees. For a moment, Leeith hoped his fingers would caress her stomach and move upwards to her ribs or down to her thighs. That didn't happen. Astarion just used his other hand to keep himself hovering above her. The drow closed her eyes and exposed her neck. A sharp pain followed. She whimpered and gripped his shoulders tight, clenching her jaw almost enough to break some teeth. Then the pain faded, substituted by a dull humming above her shoulder, in rhythm with her heartbeat. Astarion's tongue lapped at her skin.
"Easy now." He murmured, still with his lips on her. Was it just a thought he had? Leeith swore she could sense herself in his mind and him inside her. A similar feeling to the tadpole, but more fuzzy, deep into the recesses of their soul. The drow smiled, feeling his bliss as hers, the excitement of blood awakening something in them. For the first time, his body felt warm, alive, as he kept clinging to her sweet, sweet life. The elf was on edge. He didn't want this to finish, it felt better than any sex or drug or wine he's ever had. Just a moment more, just one more drop. Leeith’s mind was well and alive, shaking in shared joy. He needed this more than gold; he needed her to stay, to defend him from others. He couldn’t let the drow grow bored of him. As long as she trusted him, he wouldn’t have had to worry about monster hunters or Cazador’s goons; the warlock would have scared them off and, failing that, she was more than capable of crushing their bones. Her body was warm like the sun under him; He was going to cling to it for as long as he could.
The cold arrived too soon. The connection broke for an instant, as the drow below him got weaker. A wake up call.
He lifted his head up and almost felt like he needed to catch his breath, but his lungs were still dead. The vampire admired the wound on her neck: he had done a perfect job, with very little blood running off. They shared a glance as he went down on it again, just licking the few droplets on her shoulder.
Leeith tested the wound with one hand once he sat up. It hurt like hell, but it wasn't bleeding a lot. She undid the bandage on her wrist and used that to pat her neck dry. Astarion, by her side still, was brimming. His eyes were alive and shining like rubies, a faint smile was on his lips and he seemed not to have noticed that a drop of blood was about to fall down from his chin to his prized shirt. They sat in silence for a few minutes. The drow was the first to break it.
"So your hobby is sewing." She noted.
"I would call it less a hobby and more a useful skill. It's not like Cazador would give me his hand-me-downs." He spat, bile raising from inside of him.
"You're free now. You could buy anything you want."
"I quite like my clothes. And besides, where should I get anything? Maybe if we were in Baldur's gate I’d think about it, but here I could at best cover myself with twigs like those druids."
"Uhh… you wouldn't look too bad covered in fig leaves. I'm sure you'll find a way to make it work."
"Just because you want to see me nude, doesn't mean I'll concede myself to you so easily."
"Alright then, no more blood until I see you dressed with just one leaf." She wanted to sound serious, but the look on his face was worrying. Did he actually understand sarcasm?
"Hey, I'm still joking. No need to look at me like that."
"That reassures me. The thought of bedding a drow wasn't a pleasant one."
"Hey what?!" For once she was actually offended.
"Canings, ties, gags, whatever spiked torture device you have in your caves to get you off. Are you sure you are having sex down there, or just trying to eviscerate each other?"
"Well first and foremost, the "device" is called a spike cross and you aren't actually supposed to get off on that. Second, not my fault you surface elves are more sensitive than a babe. And third," she moved her lips close to his ear, whispering seductively. "I'll be gentle your first time, you'll still be able to sit the next day." She smirked, but couldn't hold in a chuckle.
"Is it true your men are slaves?" He asked all of a sudden.
"It depends. Most commoners, like me, have left the practice behind. Not that I wouldn't enjoy having a slave or two, but you know, either they consent or I buy one. Now, the matriarchs, they still cling to the old ways. In any case, most say it's not as bad as it was a few centuries ago. This doesn’t change the fact all men are unworthy and unclean in the Spider’s Queen eyes and her followers… like me, but I won’t chain you up unless you request me." She shrugged. Astarion was lost. His face was turned towards her, but his eyes were looking somewhere far. In that moment, Leeith remembered all that he had to go through, between the torture and the servitude.
"Hey," she placed a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. "That won't happen anymore, alright. You're free now. Nothing can take that away and if they try, you aren't alone. I'll personally go into Cazador's lair and open all of his curtains, while you stand above his ashes. The sun will burn him, while you will be free." He shook his head.
"A naïve and puerile fantasy… but thank you. Shall we go? You said you were tired and don't think blood loss made you any stronger." He offered his hand and she took it. Even with that, standing up was not an easy task when her world kept spinning and going dark at the edges, but she managed.
"Lolth be graced, no one tells you the downsides of being a blood bag when you pick up this job." She joked, as they both walked back to camp.

THE PRINCESS WEI YANG - 189 PART 2
CHAPTER 189: Visiting Relatives in the Palace
Princess Qixia... That beautiful but thin shadow passed through Eunuch Zhang's mind, and he felt his body stiffen. Until now, he could not forget the scene on the day Princess Qixia died. At that time, Princess Qixia's mental state was very unstable, so they, the eunuchs and maids, took turns to watch over her carefully. But one day, her mind was inexplicably clear, and she was very happy, and specially invited His Majesty to come and talk. Even though they only spoke for a while, His Majesty was already extremely happy.
The servants thought that the princess's condition had improved, and they felt relieved. So that night, no one expected that something like that would happen. The next day, as soon as His Majesty woke up, he heard someone screaming, "Oh no, there's someone here, they're dead, they're dead -!" He got up in a hurry, only to find that Princess Qixia was missing, and he and others were in a panic. When he rushed to the lotus pond in a panic, he saw a pair of beautiful embroidered shoes neatly placed next to the lotus pond.
Princess Qixia walked out of the palace step by step, through the garden, and arrived at the lotus pond. Everyone could see the princess in her favorite dress, drowning in the lotus pond full of pink hibiscus flowers. When she was fished out, she had a smile on her face. This kind of scene will never be forgotten by anyone who has seen it. It's really terrible...
His Majesty watched her die in front of his eyes, and his heart was torn apart by a thousand blades, and a large mouthful of blood spurted out with a loud sound...
Eunuch Zhang didn't dare to think about it anymore, he just looked at Yuan Lie and warned him again: "My lord, please don't say that name again. This old slave is scared when he hears it!"
"Really? What's there to be afraid of?" Yuan Lie smiled thoughtfully.
Eunuch Zhang looked at Yuan Lie's face, and a strange thought suddenly passed through his mind. His voice suddenly dropped three octaves: "My lord, I heard someone mentioned that you grew up outside the palace when you were a child. Why didn't you come back before?"
Yuan Lie looked at this very shrewd eunuch and said calmly: "I was not in good health, so my father asked me to stay outside to recuperate. You must also know the situation in the household. If I come back, I'm afraid I won't grow this big."
What he said was very clear. Eunuch Zhang smiled sheepishly: Indeed, the old Princess Hu is not easy to deal with.
"Eunuch Zhang has been here for so many years, so he must know a lot of things."
Yuan Lie's tone was very easy-going, as if it was just a small talk. But Eunuch Zhang was a little nervous and said: "This slave is old and has forgotten many things in the past."
All of the members of the Yuexi imperial family are gorgeous, but no one can compare with Princess Qixia. Eunuch Zhang suddenly remembered that Princess Qixia had given birth to a son, but he died just after being born. If he had survived, he would have been as handsome and extraordinary as Grand Prince Xu in front of him. Turning his head, Yuan Lie looked at him intently, and Eunuch Zhang was shocked. His eyes and expression not only resembled that person, but also resembled the current Emperor. God! Could it be that that child was still alive back then? How can this be! He obviously watched that child die with his own eyes...
Yuan Lie just smiled, knowing that the old eunuch must be a clever person to survive to this day. He did not expose it, but simply changed the topic and said: "His Majesty's headache, has it gotten better these past two days?"
Eunuch Zhang's expression remained unchanged, but he felt much more relaxed and said, "It's getting better. Since the prince returned to the capital, His Majesty's headache has been getting better day by day."
The death of Princess Qixia was a huge blow to the Emperor. He became suspicious and felt that Princess Qixia was murdered. He searched for the murderer everywhere and killed many people in the palace, which caused rumors for a while. Even when dealing with courtiers, his temperament changed drastically, and he had the Head of the Ministry of Industry killed for a joke. The Imperial Censor Zhong Cheng protested that Princess Qixia should not be buried with such high standards of etiquette, and the Emperor immediately ordered him to be dragged out and torn apart; General Wu Lin, who was talking about Princess Qixia, was shot more than a hundred times with arrows by the Emperor himself and died... The Emperor was always wise and had never done such ridiculous and terrible things before. During that time, almost everyone was in danger, and even the Empress shut her doors and did not come out. The concubines in the palace also did not dare to go to his bed, for fear of offending the Emperor with just one word and ending up with a tragic end.
The Emperor had been imprisoned since he was a child (t/n: As a reminder, the history of the current Emperor of Yuexi and why he grew up imprisoned was explained by Yuan Lie/Minde in chapter 109), and his health was not very good. Coupled with this tragedy, he often got angry and finally fell ill. Of course, this is just an outside statement. The truth is that Princess Qixia contracted a fever for some unknown reason in the middle of the month. It was highly contagious and extremely difficult to recover from, making people avoid her. But the Emperor insisted on taking care of her personally. As time passed, the princess's illness recovered, but the root of the fever was buried in the Emperor's body, and it became more and more serious later. Fortunately, the palace took good care of him. After three years, the Emperor improved again, but he still suffered from headaches. Once he got angry, he would have a splitting headache, and the pain would last for three days and three nights. Even the imperial doctor's acupuncture could not relieve the pain. Later, thanks to the Empress presenting Pei's heirloom ice and snow cicada, the pain could be relieved. Over the years, the Emperor's headaches still occur frequently, and they become more and more serious. Sometimes he even falls into a crazed state and is unable to handle government affairs at all...
Eunuch Zhang said no more words, "Your highness, hurry up and enter. His Majesty is waiting for you!"
Yuan Lie did not answer. Eunuch Zhang looked up secretly and found that Grand Prince Xu was distracted again. He was staring in the direction of Changchun Palace, but the palace door was closed and he couldn't see anything. What was there to look at?
The play on the stage was reaching its climax, and Li Wei Yang seemed to be fascinated by it. The Gracious Consort ordered someone to prepare fresh fruit and bring it to Li Wei Yang to eat.
Madam Guo then quietly spoke to Consort Guo: "How are you doing in the palace?"
Gracious Consort Guo looked at the maids nearby, gestured for them to stand farther away, smiled and said, "Look, what's wrong with me?"
Madam Guo shook her head: "Back then, your eldest brother said that you would not be able to bear such a life." After a pause, she muttered: "Based on your temperament, , I never thought you would be able to endure in the palace. I thought you would fight to the death with Empress Pei." Every time she entered the palace, Gracious Consort Guo acted as if nothing had happened, but she still felt that this life was not one ordinary people could live. If it were her, she would go crazy sooner or later.
The Gracious Consort said softly: "Yes, when my first child died because of her, I hated her to the extreme, but since then I have become more thoughtful and know that I can no longer live as carefree as I did in the Guo family before. Even if I don't think about myself, I must think of the Guo family who cares about me and my future children. For this reason, I had to suppress my hot temper and be patient with her. In the past two years, my son has grown up, and I am even more worried. I don't expect him to compete for the throne, but others may not be willing to let him go..."
Madam Guo was silent for a long time and then whispered: "I understand that your life is not as glamorous as it seems. You've been wronged for the sake of the Guo family."
Gracious Consort Guo didn't take it seriously and said: "You always say this, but I was willing to enter the palace." She glanced at Li Wei Yang, who was staring at the stage with all her attention, as if she didn't notice them, and then continued. , "When my father asked me to enter the palace, it was to balance the Pei family. I was willing to do something for the family. Besides, marrying someone like His Majesty, wouldn't it be hypocritical to say that I am wronged?"
His Majesty is indeed handsome and intelligent, but over the years, he has been moody and doesn't even recognize his relatives when he has a headache. He is basically a sober lunatic. Moreover, he has respect for Gracious Consort Guo but no affection at all. Can one be called happy by staying by his side? Madam Guo sighed and said no more.
"The Empress is here!"
The expressions of Gracious Consort Guo and Madam Guo changed at the same time. They looked at each other with slightly strange expressions. The Gracious Consort reunited with her relatives and talking about their family relationship. What is the Empress doing here? But having said that, proper etiquette cannot be ignored. Everyone stood up and bowed, looking very respectful.
When Li Wei Yang heard that the Empress had arrived, her body trembled involuntarily, but it was not because of fear, but because she felt faintly excited. She originally thought that she might encounter this person when she entered the palace, but she didn't expect to meet Empress Pei so soon!
"Get up." The voice was very young and beautiful.
After everyone heard this, they all stood, but they still looked down.
"I heard the sound of drums in the courtyard from a long way away, and my theater addiction stirred, so I came over to take a look. What a coincidence, Madam Guo is also here." Empress Pei said.
Consort Guo sneered in her heart, she had already sent the news to her superiors, how could the Empress not know that the Guo family is here! But there was no expression on her face as she said: "Are you all blind? Quickly go and set up a seat for the Empress!" The maids were busy for a moment, and then Empress Pei sat down.
Li Wei Yang kept her head lowered, as if she were very frightened by the arrival of Empress Pei.
"Is this the daughter of the Guo family? I remember you just returned to Dadu. Are you used to it?"
"Many thanks for the Empress's concern. This subject's daughter is very used to it." Li Wei Yang answered unhurriedly and politely.
"Well..." Empress Pei smiled slightly, "raise your head and let me take a look."
Upon hearing this, Madam Guo frowned imperceptibly. The Gracious Consort winked at her and told her to see what Empress Pei was going to do first.
When Li Wei Yang heard these words, she raised her head. Empress Pei was holding a colorful glass cup in her hand. The gold thread on the cuffs was as light as ivory. The Zhai pattern shone in the sun, making her hands look as white as jade. But none of this compares to her stunning appearance. Her facial features were beautiful and refined, as if the heavens had calculated everything for her without any deviation, and they were perfect. Compared with Li Chang Le, the most beautiful woman in the Dali Empire back then, Empress Pei was even more graceful and gorgeous.
Empress Pei put down the tea cup and stared straight at Li Wei Yang. She seemed to be smiling, but upon closer inspection, the bloodlust in her eyes had subsided, and what remained on the surface was only a gentle and cheerful expression.
Such a scene made Li Wei Yang feel that all the blood in her body was trembling, but she just stood motionless with a submissive smile on her face, letting Empress Pei look at her.
Empress Pei already understood that the girl in front of her was definitely not an ordinary character. She smiled and said, "You are really good-looking. No wonder Madam Guo treats you as such a treasure, making it hard for others to see!" There was a trace of deep sarcasm in her unsmiling eyes, and she glanced sideways at Madam Guo.
Madam Guo had a smile on her face, but she said insincerely: "Thank you for the compliment, Your Majesty." She seemed to be very honest as if she could not understand the meaning of the Empress's words at all.
A deep smile appeared on Empress Pei's face: "It's impossible to hide such a girl. Speaking of which, this child is somewhat similar to sister Gracious Consort." Empress Pei's voice sounded profound: "Especially these deep eyes. I wonder how many men will fall in love with them?"
Gracious Consort Guo just had a calm smile on her face: "What is the Empress saying? Jia'er has a gentle personality and never leaves home." What do you mean 'how many men will fall'? This is something that only frivolous women would do. Do you think everyone is like your daughter, Princess Lin'an?
"Oh? Then there's no marriage arrangements yet?" Empress Pei seemed very interested.
Consort Guo smiled faintly and said: "Well... His Majesty once said that the Guo family's marriage should be approved by him personally. Without His Majesty's will, how can we dare to decide in private?" It was a nail that was neither soft nor hard.
This means that the Empress does not have to worry about her niece's marriage. No one else would ever dare to talk to Empress Pei like this, but the Gracious Consort was a extraordinary person.
"That being said, I'm afraid the Guo Family has too high standards. However, it is better not to keep your daughter for too long, or it will be difficult to find a good marriage in the future." Empress Pei was not angry and answered with a smile.
Li Wei Yang sneered in her heart. If these words were said by others, it would seem that they were caring about her, but when they were said by Empress Pei, it was really a bit creepy. She raised her head and looked at Empress Pei. The Empress's phoenix were curved into a smile, carrying with it a trace of an inexplicable strangeness.

@taterswithranch
"Any idea what ya want for dinner?" you called from the kitchen as you sorted plates and glasses into each respective cabinet. You winced as a plate made a particularly loud clang before adding, "I can order in if you'd like!"
"I do not care," Tabi's voice replied from the living room, just audible over the noise of you stacking dishes, "get whatever. I'm not fussy."
After tidying the last of the dishes into the cupboards, you went directly to the lounge to hopefully strike a conversation with the skull-headed man sat on your couch. He was sat back against the cushions with his arms folded, staring down at his lap with a deadpan expression. You internally sighed.
It was only a day after Tabi moved in with you. You has spent months to gain his trust after finding him battered and broken in an alleyway, freshly stripped of his career and body. The image of him shaking with tears and wrapped in that dusty, dirty blanket tugged at your heartstrings, and you never wanted to see him like that again.
Your friendship was rocky, but quite close. Tabi was tolerant of your gags and affection, but always pushed you off of him whenever you got a little too touchy. You respected that of course, considering what he had went through. When you finally offered for him to officially move in with you instead of bouncing across motels, he was understandably quite suspicious.
However, after you promised and swore up and down that you genuinely wanted him with you for the sake of giving him a home (it surprisingly took much less persuasion than anticipated,) he accepted!! You could even see his golden eyes glow a slight pinkish hue. The sight of his eyes gleaming with happiness and tears would always make you smile every time you remembered that heartfelt memory... although it was only yesterday.
Returning to the present, you casually dropped down onto the couch next to him, crossing your legs and leaning back onto the cushions. You looked down at the ex-musician next to you and go to place your hand on his shoulder. Unfortunately he saw your hand and flinched away, frowning a little. You also frowned, but in confusion.
"I just–" Tabi spoke up gruffly, relaxing again, "... don't really like to be touched anymore."
"Why not?" You asked gently, sitting up to look at Tabi in the eye. He shifted uncomfortably, tugging his hoodie zipper as he replied, shrugging.
"I never did after the uh..." his voice faltered.
"... that night."
Your heart sank. It was understandable in the long run that Tabi wouldn't like to get affectionate or super-close with anyone, especially in light of what that family had done to him. The Dearests. Simply hearing the name aloud or in your own head made your blood boil. How dare they do this to such a kind individual?
"I get that," you replied. Tabi only blinked at your response, averting his gaze slightly. Suddenly you get an idea– a somewhat risky one at that, but you hoped it would be worthwhile.
Slowly, you inched your hand towards Tabi's face. The skull-headed man instantly went to move away, but you interrupted him.
"Please, stay still... just trust me." You flashed him a gentle, reassuring smile as you moved closer and closer to the side of his skull.
Tabi squeezed his eyes shut in fearful anticipation, you could see the skull tremble ever so slightly as your hand drew nearer until it lightly cupped the side of his face. He squeaked a little once he felt your warm palm against his cheek, your thumb gently stroking the bone underneath his eyes.
"I'm not trying to do anything extreme or hurtful, Tabi," you reassured him, "I only wanted to try something."
Tabi sat there, processing the sensation on his left cheek for a solid ten seconds. You were unsure what he would do in response. Would he stay there, or would he push you away again and leave?
But, as luck would have it, the former occurred. Tabi actually leaned into your palm, the cold side of his nose resting against the heel of your thumb as he closed his eyes. His entire expression was so soft, much unlike the Tabi you talked to shy of one minute ago. You could feel his warm breath against your palm, making you smile as a sense of accomplishment bubbled up inside of you.
"I told'ya it would feel nice," you said quietly, chuckling softly as you watched a light amount of blush dust his cheeks as he melted into your hand.
Perhaps you both stayed like that for a minute, maybe two, but a quiet sniffle snapped you back into reality. Tabi's eyes were looking back up at you, brimming and sparkling with tears. His hand shakily rose upwards to hold your wrist, keeping your hand in place.
"... I, uh..." his voice was soft, trembling and cracking from holding in the tears, "... I-I didn't realize how much I needed this..."
Sympathy swelled inside your chest as you embraced the ex-musician, wrapping your arms around his torso and pulling him close to your chest. He shivered considerably at the sudden rush of feeling all over his body, but sunk into your arms and wrapped his own around your torso. Considering you were at least five inches taller than the skull man, hugging him was no difficult chore. You even felt triumphant that he allowed you to embrace him like this.
You rubbed tender circles into Tabi's back as you heard him begin to weep into your chest, quiet but pitiful sobs muffled by your shirt. No doubt the tears would stain the fabric, but that was the least of your concerns. All you cared about in the moment was making sure he felt safe, comforted and trusted. You didn't expect Tabi to be so starved of affection.
Starved of love.
Starved of... touch.
"... Listen to me, Tabi..." you spoke gently, lifting the ex-musician's face up with your hands and cupping both of his cheeks. "I promise, I swear that I will always stay with you. I want you to know that I will never repeat history. I will never do what she did. I love you, Tabi, and I will never let you get hurt like that ever again."
Tabi whimpered softly, his response coming out as a whisper.
"... Promise...?"
You nodded. "Promise."
Something repeatedly slapped into your thigh, prompting you to look down in curiosity. You exhaled in pleasant surprise as you saw a small, soft tail the same colour as his skull wag gently against your leg. Suppressing a wholesome squeal, you grinned and looked down at the short man in your arms.
"Several months of getting to know ya," you remarked playfully, "and I never knew you had a tail."
Tabi made a quiet noise and hugged you tighter, "Didn't feel it was necessary to tell."
You chuckled. "What urged the change of heart, then?"
"... trust you, now ... and you like it..."
"You're right," you smile and pat the back of his head gently, "I love it."
The little tail wagged even more at those last three words as Tabi made a happy squeak, cuddling into your chest. You giggled and gave him a gentle headpat.
An idea suddenly arose in your head.
"Hey, hear me out on this..."
You never anticipated that a vast majority of the snacks and fizzy sodas in the kitchen would be pulled out for one single night. However, in light of your current circumstances, you could not care less as you held Tabi close and watched the corny series play out on the TV. You both had already burnt through a two-litre bottle of cola and a shared bag of Doritos, but you were both warm and happy as you laid there on the couch, draped in a cozy blanket.
You briefly glanced down at Tabi, noticing how his eyes glowed a more vibrant pinkish hue. The man now laid in your arms, his skull nestled against the crook of your neck.
"Were your eyes always that pink?" you asked playfully, watching Tabi freeze up. He made an irritated grumble as he buried himself into your chest, pulling the blanket up further over his shoulders.
" N-No ..."
You giggled and lifted his face up, pressing a gentle, tender kiss to his forehead. Despite the blanket weighing it down, you could see his little tail begin to wag in happiness again.
"... Y/N...?"
"Hm..?"
"... I don't want this moment to end..."
"Neither do I, Tabi..."
"... please don't leave me..."
Those last few words made you feel incredible sympathy as Tabi's arms tightened around you, hearing him whine quietly. You reached a hand up to stroke the back of his head in smooth motions, whispering reassuring words into his ear.
"I'm not gonna leave ya, Tabs. I promise."
Both your words and the comforting strokes of your hand elicited a short, soft sound similar to a cat's purr from the ex-musician's throat as he snuggled into your chest, practically clinging to you like a baby koala. You chuckled and headpatted him even more, kissing his forehead once again. His tail wagged even harder, much to your delight.
"... I love you..." you heard him mumble. Smiling, you hold him close and give one last kiss on the forehead as you feel him slowly drift off to sleep against your neck, his breaths soft against your collar.
"Love ya too, Tabs."

hi i am EXTREMELY interested in bottom John and would like to know your thoughts on this topic
Thank you so much for the ask, which I hope you will not regret after my answer
From a #soft standpoint, the vulnerability. I love this side of John anyway because I think we don't talk about what a vulnerable mess he is enough. And in that, trust - (johndean lens coming up) - the idea of John getting to a point with Dean where he has enough trust in Dean to let him take that vulnerability for himself. I don't think this would be something that happened all the time, even if it happened once - I was word vomiting at @amiwritesthings recently about my unending belief in John's erectile dysfunction (over 50, too much booze, bad diet, seems inevitable to me) and how from that a dynamic could build where John lets Dean fuck him. The ED itself being a stepping stone to vulnerability - its awkward, and John would undoubtedly feel some humiliation about not being able to keep up with his young, hot, red blooded son, getting angry about it and pushing Dean away. But Dean... pushing back. Looking at Daddy with big heart eyes whether his dick works or not. Skirting around the idea until John thinks he thought of it himself. I picture it being pretty awkward - John not being able to relax enough and Dean being nervous - but very sweet and connective and it makes my heart horny. (And that will be the extent of my soft johndean thoughts for the remainder of the year).
Selfish John rights. I actually wrote a (girl!dean) fic about this once - John asking this of Dean simply because... he wants it. This side of it is linked more with my sub!John headcanon (I stand by it) - but he's not bottoming/subbing out of a desire for connection or a mutually beneficial dynamic. He wants a certain headspace. He wants to zone out and forget and he wants his son (or his daughter) to service top his sad ass and fuck him senseless so he can get there and get off, Dean(na)'s enjoyment be dammed. Just another weird fucking thing John asks of Dean(na) that happens occasionally (and in a very mundane way) but is never spoken of again. I think this is my favourite iteration of bottom!John - John's ultimate fixation on his own needs and Dean(na) doing as told, no matter how messed up, to keep Daddy happy. It's the exact kind of fuckery that drew me to this ship in the first place and it makes me drool.
Bi John rights. The idea of John hooking up with pretty twinks who look suspiciously like Dean? Yep, behind it. The idea of John hooking up with hench masculine types like himself and bending over a car hood for them? Behind it even more.
Lastly, my personal view is that John getting fucked is really really hot. And I'm glad to know I'm not alone 🥲

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY DEAR FRIEND @owlfacenightkit !!!! I LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH BESTIE 💞💖💕💝
Here, I wrote you a lil something :3 I hope you like it!!
~~~
"Alright, one chocolate, one strawberry, and one mint chip." The lady behind the ice cream cart set the frozen desserts down with a practiced movement and accepted the wrinkled wad of cash Sasha gave her.
With a quick smile, Sasha thanked the vendor and walked back towards where she'd left her girls. Balancing three cups of ice cream in her hands at once was a bit of a challenge, but she managed.
Once she was sure she wasn't going to drop her precious cargo, she tilted her face upwards, savoring the feeling of the sunshine on her face. It was a mild April day, one of those precious few meant to be enjoyed before the LA summer sun came along and burnt everything to a crisp.
Which was exactly why she had dragged her two oldest friends along for a relaxing day at the park.
She heard Anne before she saw her, over at the outdoor chess tables.
A shout of, "Again?! How?!" echoed conspicuously through the park, shortly followed by, "HOW did you do that?!".
Sasha found the other girl engaged in a boisterous game with an older gentleman she was pretty sure Anne had never met before. It was a pretty amusing sight, to say the least.
Anne was too busy loudly protesting the seizure of her knight to notice Sasha's approach. Barely even slowing as she passed, the blonde simply slipped her her styrofoam cup and moved on.
Now to find Marcy. She wasn't on the bench where Sasha had left her, which was only slightly suspicious. She mentally shrugged and rounded a corner, past a swing set and a few hedges.
And, there she was. Sasha smiled warmly at the sight. Even after everything, in some ways, Marcy hadn't changed a bit.
She was sitting cross-legged on the grass, in an open spot away from the main walkway. Two crows ambled around remarkably close to her, evidently not frightened of her in the slightest. They were pecking at little pieces of granola bar Marcy had obviously given them. She watched them intently, her phone dangling loosely from one hand. Upbeat music struggled from the phone's speakers, the sound tinny but audible.
Sasha tiptoed closer, trying to be stealthy and failing. Marcy didn't look up. The shiny black birds considered her warily, but stayed where they were.
"Hey, Marce," Sasha whispered in greeting. "You make some new friends?"
Marcy smiled then, finally acknowledging Sasha's presence, but still didn't tear her eyes away from her birds.
"Yep!" she replied, popping the P. "At least, I think so. These two seem to remember me. Which. Cool."
"Wow, so you know these two in particular?"
"Mm-hm! I've been interacting with them for maybe a month now."
Sasha sunk down onto the grass beside Marcy and passed the other girl her ice cream.
"Ooo! Mint chip, thanks Sash!" Marcy quickly shoveled a large scoop into her mouth and shut her eyes in bliss. When she reopened them, she turned her head and peeked at Sasha shyly.
"Do you… wanna hear more about crows?" she asked around a mouthful of ice cream.
"Always," she answered immediately. Marcy's face lit up.
"Okay okay so!" She swallowed. "Their binomial name is Corvus brachyrhynchos, also known as the American crow!"
She went on, excitedly moving her hands as she spoke. "These are extremely intelligent birds. In studies, they've been shown to have the capacity to remember human faces!"
Sasha cracked a small, genuine smile at that. "That's really cool. Got any other interesting crow facts?"
Marcy thought for a moment. "Hm… OH! Did you know they have the same brain-weight-to-body ratio as humans? Amazing right?!"
"Wow! Yeah, that is pretty amazing, Mar." Lost in thought, she absent-mindedly rubbed the scar on her cheek with a fingertip, then reminded herself to stop. She glanced down at Marcy's phone, which was now lying in the grass and still playing some chipper electropop song. "So… what's that for? The music, I mean."
"Oh! Yeah, I had the thought one day to play some music for these guys, and they seem to like it," she answered simply and shrugged.
The song playing ended with a smooth final chord, and another started. Sasha tilted her head and considered the lyrics.
~Oh, oh, I can't even take it in, Oh, oh, I can't even take it in, Oh, oh, I left my heart in Metropolis…~
"Heh, makes sense," she chuckled. Marcy turned her head and looked at her quizzically.
Sasha blushed. "Owl City… for the crows…" She gestured vaguely to the phone. "Ya know… fits the bird theme…"
She trailed off awkwardly. The other girl blinked at her once, twice, then snorted.
"You're such a dork, Sash," Marcy chuckled.
The blood rose in Sasha's cheeks, but not in a way she really minded. She huffed out a laugh and rubbed the back of her neck self-consciously.
"Pfft, yeah whatever…"
They sat after that for a while in comfortable silence, enjoying their rapidly-melting ice cream and Marcy's Owl City playlist. Marcy resumed telling the other girl bird facts as soon as she finished eating, and Sasha laid back on her elbows and listened.
Eventually though, one of the birds apparently grew tired of granola and strutted over to the two of them. It ducked and bobbed its head, eyeing them curiously.
Sasha grinned and propped herself up. "Hey Mar-mar, I think your friend wants something."
Marcy's smile was radiant. She leaned forward, slowly offering her hand to the bird like she would to a shy cat. "Hey there, friend," she cooed. "S'okay, I'm not gonna hurt ya!"
The sleek animal croaked at her in response. Beady black eyes regarded her a moment longer, then with a smooth flap of its wings, it hopped upwards to perch on Marcy's outstretched wrist. Temporarily stunned, Marcy's arm dipped from the sudden unexpected weight, but she quickly recovered and sat rigidly still.
Both girls stared, open-mouthed. After a few moments, though, Marcy broke the silence by releasing a sound that was very obviously a suppressed squeal.
"Sasha!" she hissed. "Sash, are you seeing this?!"
Sasha broke out of her shock just enough to think to hit record. "Oh, yeah. Sure am."
She plunged her hand into her pocket and whipped out her phone just in time to record Marcy's avian friend pecking at the drawstring of her Saint James hoodie and trying to pull the plastic tip off, Marcy giggling uncontrollably the entire time.
Oh, she was definitely sending this to Anne later. If it was even possible, the grin on her face grew even wider.
Yeah, park day had definitely been a good idea.
Minho squints when he steps out of Chan's car, suspicious of the eagerness of his housemates to stay at the other apartment, Changbin's car long gone. His shift at the bar the night before had gone extremely well; regulars had wished him an early happy birthday, Hyunjin and Jeongin let him relax in the break room; it was nice. He knows tonight is his birthday, but he never expects much. It's just the day he was born after all.
He's learning to enjoy it. Slowly.
"Hello to you both~" Minho chuckles, greeting the bunny rabbit and tortoiseshell cat as they rush to his feet. Carrots being in his home can only mean one thing, and he's frozen in surprise when he takes a good look at his living room. It's gorgeous, and so is the man responsible.
"I can't believe that I get to marry you," Minho remarks as he crosses the distance between the both of them and engulfs Jooheon in a hug, joy in his features, "when did you get time to do all of this?"
Happy Birthday Bunny!
Jooheon was running around putting up decorations in the living room, he had asked the kids to help as well in exchange for food. He had made sure there was separate food for Min and Rabbit’s Blood for him. He set up a big bouquet of roses, the happy birthday balloons, lights and so on before rushing to their shared room.
He started setting up things in their room. More balloons before pulling out gift bag after gift bag onto their bed. He tossed some rose petals around with a little laugh to himself. He lit two candles and stepped back to look at his handy work. He smiled, his plans was for them to have a nice party with everyone a little early in the day and then the rest of the day they could do stuff together. Whatever Min wanted they could do, indoors or outdoors Joo didn’t care as long as they could spend their time together.
He chewed on his thumb nail as he nervously looked at the time, Min was coming back soon with Chan being the one picking him up. “I hope he likes all of it.” He mumbled to himself as he kept chewing on his thumb nail walking back to the living room making sure everything was alright.
donatello x gn reader | part one of part two
Sleeping next to Donnie had never been easy.
He always was doing something. Whether it was building a new life saving machine, writing out dimensions and equations, or even just researching something entirely new to anyone on the planet ever, he was busy. He’d be fully engrossed in whatever he was doing, unaware of you even if you poked him with a sharp stick.
It was also hard to sleep with him when he was at his desk which was where he usually was. You couldn’t rest your head on his arm because it was usually moving. Sleeping on the desk was a no go. You would never sleep in such a barbaric way.
And the few times you managed to get him into bed with you, finally relaxed and happy, any small disturbance would set him off. If someone sneezed in the next room or someone tripped into the wall, he was up and grumbling. Not to mention when he realized he had a new idea for an invention at 3 in the morning and just has to knee you in the stomach to get out of bed.
Well, tonight your hopes were up. Tonight could finally be your chance.
Tonight was family movie night, which Leo had finally gave you permission to join only a few months ago. Donnie was forced to attend at least biweekly and always got sleepy during it. It usually guaranteed that he’d be in his bed that night instead of working.
“Are you planning something?” Donnie’s suspicious voice made you snap back into reality.
“Of course not,” you said and stopped staring into the void. “What could I be planning?”
Donnie held his gaze on you, obviously doubting you. You smiled innocently. He decided to let it go, looking back down to his hologram watch thingy that you could never wrap your head now.
He suddenly grabbed your hand and led you out to where you’d be watching the movie.
Donnie sat on side of the couch, leaving one spot open to his right. You went to sit down but Leo wonderfully plopped down there before you could. You blinked at him. He blinked up at you.
“Problem?” Leo yawned, kicking his feet up on the foot rest in front of them.
“Nope.” You sat down on the ground in between Donnie’s legs, leaning your back against the couch.
“I missed my twin!” Donnie let out a strangled groan as Leo probably began to hug him. You were too focused on trying to pray for the universe to let Mikey or Raph pick something other than the same movie you watched the last seven times to pay attention to the idiots behind you. The movie had to be different this time, right?
It wasn’t. Three hours into this six hour long shitty movie these mutants had somehow found in the dumpster, you were beginning to dread your plan.
But luckily, the movie sent Donnie right to sleep at hour four.
“Looks like we’ll be heading to bed!” You stood up and dragged Donnie up by his arm. He grumbled about his rude awakening.
Leo squinted his eyes at you. “What are your intentions with my brother this late in the morning?”
“Strictly business!” You hiked Donnie’s arm over your shoulder and practically dragged him to his room. You two were going to cuddle whether you pulled a muscle or not to get him there.
You dropped him onto the bed and he groaned, curling up into a small ball and facing away from you. Not ideal, but you could make it work.
You crawled in behind him, wrapping an arm and hiking a leg over him. It was difficult to get comfy with his shell, but him having his battle shell off made it extremely easier than it would’ve been had it been on.
Nothing could go wrong. His brothers were all out there watching a movie so no one was about to get up and run into a wall. Nobody could wake him up. All you had to do was make sure you didn’t yawn too loudly. You happily snuggled into him, smiling serenely.
Then your stomach growled.
Time seemed to freeze. You held your breath, squeezing your eyes shut and praying to god he did not hear it.
Donnie shifted and groaned quietly. You knew then that it was over. He slipped out the bed and out into the main part of the lair and you buried your face into the pillow, groaning into it miserably. Great job. Your stomach just had to ruin it.
You slammed your fist into the mattress, counting out all your woes as if you were counting sheep. But a hand ran down your back.
You turned your head and looked at Donnie. In his hand he held a paper plate with a pizza on it. As you sat up, he slid into place beside you, leaning heavily into your side as he handed you the plate.
You eyed him carefully, wondering if this was a test. He usually did not ever eat in his bed. But you were hungry and willing to risk it. You took a bite and all he did was rest his head on your shoulder, eyes heavily blinking at nothing.
Soon enough, he was out.
You quietly ate your pizza as his face nuzzled into your neck. You two were finally cuddling at last.
