The tent – the big top, as they had taken to calling it – was never empty. From the moment it was constructed, there was always at least one person in there training and practicing. Usually multiple people, until it turned into a chaotic cacophony of curses and laughter and barked instructions as everyone hurried to get the show together in time for their grand debut at their new location; their new home. 

However, late as it was, the big top was now silent. The troupe and stagehands gone for the day, resting before their first show tomorrow night. Although it still wasn’t empty. Anne, unable to sleep, had found her way there after weaving through the caravans and outbuildings that housed everyone. She was not at all surprised to find Phillip already there, checking over equipment out of habit. Maybe that was why she had ended up there, she had known she would find him. 

“Shouldn’t you be sleeping?” he asked, once he noticed her approaching. 

“I could ask the same of you.” 

“I’m not the star of the show.” He held out a hand to her. Anne took it carefully, lifting her skirts gently as she stepped over the lip of the ring. 

“Funny, neither am I.” She straightened out her skirts with one hand, since Phillip had yet to relinquish the other. “Do you think P.T. is nervously pacing his house right now?”

“No,” Phillip laughed. “He’s probably sleeping like a baby.” He eyed her askance. “Is that why you’re up? Nervously pacing?” 

“No, mostly I’m excited.” She couldn’t keep her gaze from drifting upward to the platform overhead. “I think it’s going to be a good show.” 

“I know it’s going to be a good show.” He raised their linked hands and pressed a lingering kiss to the back of her knuckles. In polite company, such a kiss would have been the highest form of decorum. Although to Anne it hardly felt like that, it seemed far too intimate, and she pressed her lips together to keep from grinning outright. 

“Careful, Mister Carlyle, you sound like a fan.” 

“Of you, Miss Wheeler? Always.” He turned over her hand gently, and laid a kiss against the inside of her wrist. She had to suppress a shiver down her spine.

“It almost sounds like you’re playing favorites among the troupe.” Her voice sounded a little breathy even to her own ears. “Isn’t that against the rules?”

Phillip laughed softly, his breath hot against her skin. Another shiver ran down her back. 

“I am playing favorites. I may even ask you for an autograph soon.” He was still laughing when he kissed the inside of her forearm, just below the edge of her sleeve. 

Anne held her breath as he kissed the bend in her elbow, then he shoulder, covered by her blouse, before he brushed back her hair and kissed the side of her neck. Her breath left her in a shaky sigh. 

“If you ask nicely, I might oblige you with an autograph.” Anne turned her head toward his face, and wet her lips. She slowly lifted her gaze to his and let a quiet moment pass between them, as they stood close together, her hand still clutched in Phillip’s. Anne was the first to move, leaning into Phillip. He mirrored her movement and their lips met in the middle. 

It was a long, slow kiss. And Anne shuffled herself closer still to Phillip, laying her free hand on his chest, fingers gripping at his shirt slightly. His free hand came up to cup her cheek as he slanted his lips over hers. 

“Have I convinced you yet?” he asked against her mouth, thumb gently brushing against her cheek. 

“Close. I think I need a few more niceties, though.” 

“You drive a hard bargain.” 

“All’s fair in love and negations.” They both laughed. 

They were still laughing as Phillip finally let go of her hand, and wrapped his arm around her waist. Anne looped her arms around his neck, and kissed him again. 

The sun was just cresting on the horizon when she finally made her way back to her caravan – knees a little weak, and lips swollen – she would likely be late for rehearsal later, but it was entirely worth it. Phillip always was.

the first kiss scene Alina is so beautiful Her little smile as she picks up his kefta after he hears him call out for Ivan to get it like ooh I'm gonna play a little trick on Alek Her making him smile with a joke that's not even funny The tentativeness of it all, them tiptoeing around each other, testing the boundaries Him being taken aback by her offering to help him put on his kefta but still wanting her to and immediately resorting to business voice asking questions about official sun summoner stuff And putting on his serious business face him trying to explain away the gloves by calling them a safeguard, not a sign of him not trusting her abilities the face he makes after saying spectacle either depicting his distaste for the showiness of the event or depicting his embarrassment at how he phrased the sentence, like what the fuck did I just say (more likely the first one) Her quickly turning around and walking away after the eye contact makes her realise how close they are and him pulling a puzzled look as she does so Just. Just how adorable the energy is. Both of them making jokes to diffuse the tension, her gripping the table to maybe steady or calm herself, the looks they give to each other as if engaged in a delicate dance; god-like Him straight up just blinking and looking down and gulping as she says 'we can offer Grisha and Ravkans hope' (could be multiple things he's thinking at this point, and all of them interest me) 'That means a lot to me, Alina.' *her turning to look at his face* 'You mean a lot...' *her immediately lowering her gaze and tracing where her mal scar used to be lmao* 'to everyone' *her raising her gaze to him again* The music swelling as she walks up to him, her barely grazing her fingers against his collar, his eyes looking across hers as if in disbelief, her looking at his lips, and then her closing the gap between them. Him being a little stiff, indubitably from being shocked, and yet giving into it almost instinctively as if he can't help it. The violin coming in powerfully yet softly to emphasize the tenderness of it all. This thing has been made with so much love and I can't contain myself about it. Him opening his eyes half a second after Alina, almost as if waking up from a dream and then, following a relaxing of his facial muscles as he clearly regains his composure, immediately looking inscrutable. Her doubting herself, not losing eye contact as he stands up from the desk, but her sudden fear, regret, and embarrassment clear on her face. Her sides of her lips slowly rising giving way his own self mirroring her and breaking into smile and composing himself and breaking into smile again before saying 'Not many people surprise me, Miss Starkov'. Her now fully breaking out into a smile, her face a picture of unguarded joy, she looks down only to have his gaze follow her face. Both of them giddy in the other's presence and the audience can feel it. It feels like he is leaning in for another one when the sound of the door opening makes them spring apart, regaining their composures and standing at a respectable distance from each other. Her poorly suppressing a smile, him looking at her visibly, her mimicking him with a glance out of her periphery, causing her to give in to her smile completely. Him looking visibly distracted as he attempts to pay attention to whoever came into the room. the Jesper of it all Jesper the mega idiot not being able to control his face from doing a thing as he realises the person who caught him where he wasn't supposed to be is the same person he was making sexy eyes at before and yet regaining his composure in record time The poor stable hand actually being interested in Jesper and being adorable with Jesper just being like charm itself Can you believe looking at Jesper Llewellyn Fahey in the flesh and having him make sexy eyes at you and then forgetting about it? you were “just a little bit sick” (your words not his), which meant yuta was spending his day off in bed, taking care of you. he didn’t have to, or at least that’s what you insisted last night before he invited himself over and made sure you got some food in you before he put you to bed.

“why didn’t you call me?” he scolded you when he felt your fever against the palm he pressed to your forehead. “i would’ve canceled any of my plans.”

“i know you would,” you smiled fondly at him, feeling a little delirious and sleepy as the medicine yuta made you take started working. “that’s why i didn’t call.”

“silly (girl/boy),” he tsked, a sharp tap of his tongue against his top teeth, before he swooped you up in his arms and carried you to bed.

you half weren’t expecting him to still be there in the morning (most of the time he had practice) so waking up with your face smooshed against him was a happy surprise.

“hi,” you smiled, turning your head so your chin was resting on his chest. he laughed, giving your waist an affectionate squeeze before he reached out to tap your nose.

“hi, cutie.”

it was one of those late summer nights where the air felt hot and sticky against your skin. you and yuta were hanging out on your fire escape, draped lazily over the sofas you had shoved out there earlier that summer when you realized it was the perfect spot to eavesdrop on your neighbors (who had broken up and gotten back together twice since you moved in) or, like tonight, to soak in the sounds of the city that reached down the alleyway between your apartment building and the next one over.

“here,” yuta swung one of his legs through your window, dropping down onto the couch with all the grace of a newborn deer. “that’s all the ice you have left.”

pulling an ice cube from the bowl he offered you, you almost moaned at the feeling of relief when it touched your skin.

you sighed, leaning into yuta’s side while his shoulders visibly relaxed at the feeling of an ice cube of his own sliding over his warm brown skin.

“i think i’m going to melt,” he murmured, eyes closed, but he smiled at the feeling of your lips on his. opening them, he shook his head at you. “stop it. it’s too hot for that.”

but he pressed his lips back against yours anyway.

although, sometimes the trick is figuring out how to get him to use them

promising him a kiss usually does the trick

also, george is happy almost all of the time???

he will be that person that sings in the shower

he will dance with you in the mornings

he will sit down on the couch with you and talk about the future for hours on end

he will make jokes across the kitchen counter and encourage you to share ideas you have for the joke shop

he gets sad, though, at night

but you will make tea or hot chocolate and sit up with him while the two of you talk about the battle of hogwarts

you will run your hands through his hair and whisper that everything will be okay while he cries into your shoulder

you will draw or write or read with him while his mind is full of dark thoughts

arthur loves you to pieces, from the moment he first met you

he is so excited that george found “a good egg” and will talk with you about literally anything you are interested in. he is the ultimate father-in-law.

molly, on the other hand, needs some convincing because she is vvv protective of her boys

but once she warms up to you, she is the best mother-in-law you could possibly ask for. you can help her with baking (and learn a trick or two) or you can read with her

she’s been getting into a lot of new hobbies now that all of her boys are grown and have left the house

she’d love to have you over at any time

then we have bill and fleur, who are super nice because they had to go through this whole in-law thing first, and they have a lot of tips and tricks

then charlie, who is so cool to hang out with, but is hard to catch when he’s in town. when he is, there’s usually a big get together at the burrow and so you end up associating him with a full house with a lot of laughter

then percy, who is really a character. he’s grown to be less uptight in his later years, but he still tries to rise above his station just a little bit.

but he’s always good to tell stories. he gets lost in menial details sometimes, but he does great, overall.

if you ever want an account of what any of the weasleys were like years ago, it’s him you go to.

he should really start scrapbooking, tbh.

then theres fred, who loves you like crazy, and always pretends to be george for laughs, but really likes how good you are for his brother deep down

btw, he’s a sappy drunk, so if you get him enough firewhiskey...

then we have ron, who is really just astounded that george picked up someone as kind as you. he gives you your space, mostly, but definitely goes to you for advice

we finally get a girl in with ginny, and she is honestly the one who is the most intimidating, she get’s it from he mom. the relief is, though, that she knows what she likes, and she liked you early on.

she maybe makes joking threats about what she would do if you hurt her brother, though, which used to set you on edge in the beginning.

and, at the end of it all, we have harry.

he is honestly such a pal. i mean, he’s the one you can go too if you ever need a break from the crazy. he’s gotten really good at knowing how to balance life with the weasleys, as he is a fellow outsider, fleur included.

the three of you are pretty good friends.

[x] - Answered here ; As a bonus, i’ll answer A and R in regards to the Inuyasha fandom bc we’re both in it. He is coming into a friendly relation with Margaret (OC) which is great. IDK what he’d be with Elena, but realistically, I think it would maybe be a friendship of sorts? I think that covers that. I don’t have any ships that are official in threads. However, I do think our Kikyo and Sesshomaru would eventually get down to being a ship.

In fandom, I support Inuyasha/Kagome and Sango/Miroku as it’s canon. In regards to what I like, I do like Sesshomaru/Kagome and Sesshomaru/Kikyo (GET FUCKING REKTED INUYASHA! Don’t be mistaken, I love Inuyasha but I am biased). Sesshomaru and Kagura would be an interesting dynamic to explore more on. I think I’ve seen people state Sesshomaru already loved Kagura when she died and I just-- don’t feel the vibe tbh. I personally think he would’ve needed more time to come to terms with such an emotion. I think it was interest, respect, and familiarity at best at that time. Anyways, I think their dynamic would be very fun as a ship. I’ve seen Sesshomaru and Sango as well and i’m like LE KEK, SURE WHY NOT? Me casually making my muses a ship magnet in fandom? Yes. In RPC? LOL SHIP? Can I eat that?

Trash of the Count’s Family

Cale- I am biased, I love the main character, obviously. I just really like Cale. He has some sassy thoughts in his head and I LIVE for that. Additionally, I just find him to be fascinating as a character. I can’t really go into it because it goes into severe spoiler territory, but basically, the way he was integrated into the world he was isekai’ed into is so fascinating to me, especially when you realize there is more to this isekai than we, the readers, are initially led to believe. In regards to emotions, he’s more stagnant than I’m used to in a lot of characters I like, but I don’t hate it? Rather, it fits him well. He’s an ‘unlucky’ dude and I laugh at his misfortune. When you consider angst material—Ohhhh CHEF KISS.

Alberu- BIG BROTHER CROWN PRINCE ALBERU!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love him so much. AHHHHHH He’s such a fun character to me. This sly Prince. He really does care a lot about Cale and it makes me cry. He takes his role as a Prince seriously and puts so much care into the common-folk and he doesn’t discriminate against those of the dark species (Necromancers, dark elves, vampires, etc) which is almost unheard of especially since the most prominent religions are those of the Light. He has a reason for it which I won’t spoil. AHHHH I love him. //sob

Raon Miru- BABY DRAGON!!!!!!! The cutest lil thing who I love to pieces. He was introduced as an abused baby and it hurts me to think about. He hates humans but he sticks around Cale because he’s the human that saved him from being tortured daily. He slowly becomes acclimated to being around humans and grows to trust some. He still hates humans but the ones he’s close to aren’t ‘humans’. They are ‘his people’. I cry. This all-mighty dragon is amazing and can do everything. Bow before his might. I love him. Fite me.

Legend of the Sun Knight

(Lesus) Judgement Knight- Okay, he’s not the main character, but--!!! He’s great. Even though he’s supposed to be at odds with the Sun Knight as they embody different philosophies, they are actually the best of friends in secret. He deals with a lot of Grisia’s (Sun Knight) BULLSHIT, getting him out of trouble. His dynamic with Grisia is just hilarious to me. He’s a calm and collective type. Very serious, not very talkative. He’s the head of the ‘cold-faction’ and his role is to punish sinners in grotesque ways so many fear him but HE’S. A. GOOD. BOI!!!!!!! He just—is so dedicated to his role but mostly Grisia, his best-friend-who-is-not-his-friend. I’M CRY.

(Grisia) Sun Knight- The actual main character of the series. He’s so… HE’S AN INSUFFERABLE LIL TWAT—BUT I LOVE HIM. So sassy and just a lil shit in general. He’s very clever and he’s also what you could consider a genius. I love competency, mmm. He’s HELLA petty. To put it simply, he’s the Sun Knight, who is like the head of the Sun Church. You could say he’s the leader of an entire religion, who worship the God of Light. (If you ever see me type OMGOL, it’s bc I’m typing Oh My God of Light. Fax) There are select knights who are spokespeople for the church and he’s the head of them. All such knights are considered to be ‘brothers’ and he’s very protective of them all. Princess? King? Liche? The world? He don’t give any flying fucks. You touch his knights and he’ll get revenge. BET. I love that level of savagery.

(Neo) Sun Knight- I must say, he doesn’t show up much, but he is just //chef kiss. The special knights I mentioned earlier are roles that get passed down to a new generation. There are 12 in total, and the Sun Knight is the topmost knight. Neo Sun is said to be the best knight in HISTORY aside from the original. His sword skills are legendary and he raised Grisia, the… uh… ‘weakest’ Sun Knight in history. He’s the weakest in sword skill and horse riding skill, but Grisia is the strongest when it comes to magic proficiency. Just Neo’s name can send Grisia into a panic. He is somewhat of a Father for Grisia. A scary one, but one that Grisia cares deeply for. The sacrifices that Neo has made for Grisia is just //sob. He and Lesus both have done so much for Grisia behind the scenes and I’m just--- //cries harder.

The King’s Avatar

Ye Xiu- He is the main character of this novel and ughhh I love him so much. He too, IS A LIL SHIT!!!! He is so insufferable sometimes to his opponents and I LOVE IT. He’s very smart and skilled in what he does. He’s a professional gamer and I don’t understand a thing about games but I only need to know that he’s wicked good lol. He’s very dedicated to Glory, the game that he was a professional gamer for. He kinda… got ousted out by the team he FOUNDED. He says that he’ll get back into the professional association and take another championship. The novel centers around him and you watch as he sets out to complete a specific goal in mind in honor of a certain someone.

Huang Shaotian- A talkative dumbass. I love him. He is such PUPPY ENERGY. He bothers Ye Xiu a lot with his highkey energy. He’s extremely talented and he is known for his trash talking. He talks ridiculously fast and he’s just so--- insufferable in another way lol. I love him for it. He doesn’t always think before he talks and it gets him into trouble. Even though they are on opposing teams, he is quite fond of Ye Xiu and after finding out Ye Xiu suddenly retired (ie he was forced out of his team), he was very concerned for him. He even travelled to come talk to him and do him a favor. He was like: Old Ye, if you ever need anything, just ask! I’ll help! THIS. GOOD. BOI!!!!!!!!!! He’s really just a big idiot sometimes. “Hey, Shaotian, where are you?” “Oh, I’m xxxxxx.” “Oh? That’s where a boss spawns. I’ll be there.” Who just—he legit just gave intel to Ye Xiu about a boss monster spawn to an enemy guild. He is just too honest and ready to answer to Ye Xiu. You can tell he really respects Ye Xiu despite what trash talk he spouts. Ye Xiu IS the God of Glory, after all.

Han Wenqing- IN COMING YE XIU’S OLD RIVAL FOR YEARS!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH They just--- I’M CRY. They have such history with each other, constantly butting head with each other in game/tournaments. They don’t have a dynamic where they look at each other and just cuss each other out or what have you. They genuinely respect each other and wouldn’t mind hanging out with each other in private. They are both captains of their own respective teams and the fans of their teams are mortal enemies lol. Han Wenqing and Ye Xiu are both older players and you really get to see the struggles older players face in the tough gaming industry. He’s a responsible captain and he is so respectable. He’s so great. I love him too. The dynamic he has with Ye Xiu is--- //crying

The One Where the Moon Became a Witness

pairing: sera x jeno

summary: in the middle of a blackout and dead phones, they danced to the music from her box in the dark with light from the moon streaming in through the window

for christmas, the members all respectively went to their homes with Renjun and Chenle going back to China and the rest to their families, but 2 remain. The parents of the two decided to take vacations without their children since they were told to warn their families that they might not make it back home for the holidays. But it was proven wrong as they were free and now, had no family to go to.

One was in a cruise while the other was in a vacation to make up for a previously cancelled anniversary trip.

Refusing the other members’ wish to stay with them, they slightly regretted the decision at the empty dorm and the silence that filled every crevice.

Sera sat on the couch with Haikyuu playing in the TV but she was barely paying attention, instead focusing on her phone with her fingers typing rapidly and her brows furrowed together. Her brothers were all in college and they too, were without their parents. At least, they had each other and met up in New York.

jeno noticed her soft smile and he approached her, holding 2 mugs full of hot chocolate and marshmallows topped with whipped cream. Exactly how she liked it. A giggle escaped from her and she turned to look at him as she felt the cushion beside her sink due to the weight placed on it. She smiled gratefully at him and moved to hold her cup so he could safely hold his.

“Do you miss them?” He asked, noticing the name of her oldest brother’s name pop up. 

With a wistful look, she nodded and blew on the hot liquid. “Yeah. Even though I want to see them, we only have 3 days of break so its not worth flying back and forth.”

Jeno wrapped an arm around her shoulder, gently pulling her close. His eyes trained on the ball that flew around the court in the show and he felt her laugh when the orange-haired boy missed the ball.

“Ah, no!” She whined with a laugh at the face of the boy.

Continuing to watch the banter between 2 characters, they grew silent as they became focused and interested at the show and the speech that a character was giving. She soaked in every word since it reminded her and Dream but then it went blank.

Everything went dark and the soft glow from the street light came through the window beside the TV to give them a way to see things a little bit clearer. Jeno felt her tense form and with the help of the slight light, he gently pried the cup off of her hands and placed both of their mugs on the coffee table in front of the couch.

“Ah, we have a blackout,” Jeno said. Sera nodded and she moved to turn on the flashlight from her phone only for it to blink ‘1%’ in red. 

Cursing at the worst timing, she turned it off and placed it to the side since it was no use anymore. “Jeno, can we use your phone?” 

With a sheepish look, he sent her a lop-sided smile. “You see, I played my game too much and I just plugged it in earlier. It might not have a lot of charge in it. I can go get it?”

“Oh, it’s okay. We just need it to tell the boys we have a blackout and in case they need to get ahold of us,” she reasoned as he stood up to get it from his room and coming back with it on hand.

They sat in silence, even the sound of birds disappeared and was replaced with eerie quietness which was very unfamiliar to the dorm. This might be the first time the walls heard such silence after they moved in.

“The light is hurting my eyes,” Jeno mumbled before taking off his glasses and rubbing his eyes.

“Do you want to go in my room? My string lights are battery operated so it’s not turned off. It’s very bright,” she suggested. He nodded and they padded over to her room at the end of the hall.

Jeno has been in her room millions of times so it wasn’t unfamiliar territory and he even noticed his hoodie hanging on her chair.

“There it is!” He pointed at the missing material he was just looking for a few days ago.

Sera smiled guiltily and placed her hands up. “Sorry,” she apologized.

“Nah, it’s okay. I just thought I lost it. You can keep it,” he reassured before jumping on her bed. “It’s so not fair you got a soft bed.”

She rolled her eyes before climbing on it beside him. “What are you talking about? Jaemin has the softest. This isn’t that comfortable.”

Jeno turned his head to look at her and his ears turned red as admired the way the bright lights against the wall illuminated her face and made her eyes brighter than they usually were. It almost made it look like she was glowing.

Sera noticed his stare and looked at him curiously. “Hm? Something on my face?”

He snapped out of it and his smile reached his eyes, turning it to crescents. “No. I just like the lights.”

For a 30 minutes, they just talked about absolute nonsense and old memories to past time since they couldn’t use his phone for entertainment. Then the string up lights flickered slightly that went unnoticed by the two.

“God, Chenle almost killed Renjun. Thank god you were able to hold him back,” Sera laughed at the memory.

Jeno shook his head with a smile when he remembered the unpleasant time that Renjun spilled a little bit of paint on his apple watch. “Honestly, he could’ve just gotten a new one. It didn’t help that you pointed it out in the first place.”

“Yah, if I didn’t, Jisung would’ve. There was a big blob of blue in the screen of his watch. Who wouldn’t notice that?” She defended and tightened her hold of his middle.

“Okay, okay,” he chuckled and was about to say something when for the second time that day, they were covered in darkness again.

“Really, God absolutely hates me right now,” she muttered harshly. “Chenle took all of that good luck with him. I told him to leave that jade bracelet here.”

Jeno knew about her slight fear of the dark because she slept with the lights on everyday and it’s been probably a while since she changed the batteries. 

“You stay here while I go get some batteries and a flashli-”

“No, don’t leave me.” She stopped him from sitting up with a hand on his arm. 

Jeno saw her slight wide eyes and nodded before laying back down. His brain racked up ways to comfort and keep her entertained but he came blank. Turning his head to the side, he looked around her room with blurry eyes and he found the small box that she had on top of her dresser.

“I have an idea,” he said. “But I need to get up, love. Will you let me go get it?”

She nodded and he smiled softly before standing up and crossing the room to grab the circular object. Sera sat up and saw the familiar outline of her great-grandmother’s music box that was given to her right before she died.

Jeno gently wound the box and opened the lid, hearing the soft melody of an unknown song and watching the dancing of the 2 figures. He placed it on her nightstand and he held his hand out to her.

“May I have this dance, m’lady?” He asked. Sera wasn’t able to answer properly since the moon hit behind him so perfectly that it looked like he was an angel and she still cannot believe someone as gorgeous and perfect like Jeno was her best friend.

“I-Um,, Yes.” 

In their pajamas and socks, the two people danced slowly, moving side to side. Their eyes were closed as they slowly got lost into their own world. The soft music from the box filled the room and she could feel his heartbeat as her head rested on his chest and her arms were loosely around his neck. Jeno’s hold of her waist tightened when she moved closer to his warm form.

“Thanks, Jen.” Her gratitude made a smile appear in his face and he kissed the top of her head.

“I can feel your heartbeat,” she mumbled against the cloth.

“Hm? Can you really?” He asked, smile growing wide.

“Yea,” she answered. “Hey, Jen?”

“Hm?”

“I love your smile the most.” 

The declaration took him aback. “W-Well, thanks?”

Sera smiled at his awkward stutter and continued on. “It reminds me of the moon. When you smile, it just lights up everything else. Like the moon in the sky. It gives purpose and comfort that there is light in the midst of darkness. And your eyes. They scrunch up like moon crescents. That’s my favorite hour of the moon.”

“I love your smile, too.” He giggled and there was something different in the atmosphere.

She opened her eyes and saw the digital clock flash a red ‘12:05′. “Look, it’s Christmas.”

Jeno moved his head and he swears he could see faint snowflakes. “Oh? It is.”

“I guess I got my wish then,” she hummed happily. 

“What?”

“I wanted God to let me spend Christmas with someone I love,” she revealed and looked up to meet his eyes. “It wasn’t just a coincidence that you happened to have to stay here too.”

He brushed away strands of her hair that rested on her face before patting her hair. “Stuff happens for a reason.”

“When I came to Korea, you and Jaemin were the only ones I had. But now, I have 18 people with me. I’m very thankful for everything but I think meeting you is the one I’m most thankful for.”

The confession might’ve been spawned as she got more tired and sleepy but he thinks that she’s probably wanted to say that for a while.

“I’m here for you, Sera. I’ve been here from the start and I’ll be here till the end.” Jeno reassured and she hugged him tighter with a content sigh.

His promise is only heard by the 4 walls of her room and remembered by the two of them but it signifies a new beginning and the creation of a deeper bond and the only witness was the moon.

And it thought this was beautiful.

You cast your eyes to the small numbering that made up the time in the concern of the screen of your laptop. Just fifteen minutes and then you’re out of the lecture hall. From your Whatsapp on your laptop, your two boyfriends were on their way to pick you up before Bucky had started spamming the group chat with memes.

ugh yOUTH: Did Sam show you all this?

You figured that Steve was driving then, which was understandable since Bucky was a terrible driver. You waited for a bit, gazing over back to your teacher who was slowly concluding everything up.

buckaROGUE: No, Stark’s son.

ugh yOUTH: Tony doesn’t have a son, Buck, do you mean Peter Parker™?

You replied in half the time Bucky conjured a reply, as you see Steve starting to type indicating to you that he was either at a red light (unlikely, Mr All American doesn’t want to break any more laws) or had parked the car and waiting for you to come out. 

MR ALL AMERICAN: Did you just trademark Peter Parker’s name?

You grinned in amusement as the lights were brought up and you unplugged your laptop from charging as you shoved your laptop and charger into your bag. Then, promptly putting your notebook in your backpack along with your pencil case before zipping it closed and swinging it over the one arm.

You pull out your phone from your coat jacket and quickly pressing on the messaging app to type in your reply before Steve has a small meltdown in your reply time.

ugh yOUTH: look at you, Steve, now you’re doing it.

MR ALL AMERICAN: Trying to get down with the kids.

Walking out of the building, you look up from your phone to scout out your two old men, amused at your own joke as you see Bucky and Steve at the car park, Bucky casually sipping on ice tea as he is flat out lying across Steve’s beloved car as if he was modelling for next vogue’s front cover as Steve casually leans against it, on his phone. 

“Bucky,” You greeted, “Are you drinking iced tea?”

“Parker has informed me that it is what the gays are now drinking.”

“No,” You shake your head, “Well, I mean, sure, but got to stop listen to Peter.”

Steve shakes his head as you turn to look at him, you grinned at your boyfriend before planting a kiss on his lips. Bucky pouting behind Steve when you pull away, you shake your head and giving Bucky his own kiss as well.

“What’s the agenda for today, boys?” You asked, slipping your phone back into your pocket.

“Well, up to you,” Bucky says, sliding off the prestige car as Steve shakes his head, “I personally-”

“It’s not about you Buck,” Steve interrupts shaking his head but a fond smile was clearly on his face, “Stark is going to have a fit when he sees the car have scuffs of your boots.”

“It’s your car, Steve,” You say with knitted eyebrows, “Who cares what Tony thinks?”

“Mr Big Shot does,” Bucky comments dryly, but a sly smirk aimed at his other boyfriend, “As I was saying, before rudely interrupted, I personally want to get ice cream.”

“Ice cream?” You asked, tilting your head, “You can get ice cream anywhere, Buck.”

“Yeah, but what if we include a cute walk out to the park with your two dashingly handsome boyfriends?”

“Convincing,” Steve comments offhandedly, “I’m convinced.”

“It doesn’t sound like it babe,” You snicker as Bucky’s face falls flat, “But, I’m up for it, I haven’t had ice cream for a while.”

“Great! There’s this new dessert place that Barton suggested....”

Bucky rushed to the passenger seat of the car, slurping the last bit of his iced tea as you and Steve share a look. You shake your head amusingly at your boyfriend, waiting patiently in the passenger seat like a puppy. You get in the back seat, shoving your school bag onto the floor as Steve gets into the driver’s seat. 

“Is this the place that Clint brought his children to and immediately all of them had a stomach ache for eating too much?” You asked, leaned closer to the boys as you rested your arms against their seats.

“Seat belt on, (Y/n),” Steve ordered as you huffed and pouted but obeyed, “I love you a lot and there are a lot of idiot drivers on the roads - I can’t risk you.”

You smiled at the compliment and confession, leaning back in your seat, “Okay, but is this the same place we're going?”

“If Barton is certified the place with a stomach ache for eating too much then I guess it’s a ten out of ten place to visit.”

“What if they just got food poisoning?”

“Can you get food poisoning from ice cream?” Steve questioned.

The three of you sitting in silence, not answering the question. You thought to yourself how you end up dating these idiots but then remembered you were also an idiot who is in love with these two old, in the wrong generation, idiots. Smiling like a total fool, it raised up some questions by your boys.

“What are you thinking?” Steve asked, seeing you in the review mirror, grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“Just you two,” You answered tilting your head and batting your eyes like some lovesick fool, “I’ve very lucky to be dating the both of you.”

“Well, I’d say we’re lucky to be dating you,” Steve replied, but the heat was rising to his cheek at your compliment.

“Oh, baby boy, we’re definitely lucky to be dating you. There was no man like you in our time that could catch our eye,” Bucky verified, twisting his body to look at you and grabbing a hold of your hand, “I mean it, you’re something new, something refreshing.”

“Something young,” You offered as Steve laughs as Bucky shakes his head, unamused by your joke.

“Hey, we’re here!” Steve parks the car and all three of you get out.

You looked at the little shop, Steve and Bucky clasping your hands as you enter the cute dessert shop. The three of you finding a booth to sit, luckily finding a curved booth so you were sandwiched in between the two super solider and they didn’t need to battle out who gets to sit next to you with rock, paper, scissors. 

“Are we ordering this big massive ice cream sundae?” You asked, looking at the menu.

“It’s share recommended for five,” Steve reads out the fine print, but that didn’t bother you as you shrugged your shoulders.

“Okay, but you two are super-soldiers so, therefore, you make up two people. So, theoretically we’re five,” You countered back the argument as Steve looked apprehensive, “You guys eat so much, much more than an average male and us guys eat a lot.”

“Okay, he does have a point, Steve,” Bucky backs you up, before reading the ice cream details, “We get to pick the flavours, we might as well try all of them out!”

“I can see with Clint and his kids got a stomach ache here,” Steve bemused out before giving in to yours and Bucky’s opinion on what to order.

At least it was less expensive than ordering three separate ice cream sundae, at least this was sharing with a bigger portion. Steve slides out the booth to go to the counter to order as many flavours he could.

Steve comes back slightly flushed.

“Let me guess? They flirted with you?” You asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I don’t understand why you’re going out with me (Y/n), I’m a right idiot,” Steve says, as you smile at him.

“Yeah, but you’re mine and Bucky’s idiot,” You emphasised, as Steve chuckles, feeling a little better for himself.

Five minutes later, with you three joking, laughing and some heavy flirting with each other - as if it was the honeymoon phase of your relationship and not a year into the commitment. Your order had arrived, you three all give each other glances, you hadn’t expected it to be so big. 

“Is it possible for you guys to get brain freeze?” You asked, “Since it’s almost impossible for you two to get drunk.”

“I can try and get brain freeze,” Bucky offered as he dove into the dessert.

“You know, I think we won’t be making it onto the cute walk you guys promised me,” You say watching Bucky eat the ice cream in pure bliss.

Steve nods, diving into the ice cream sundae with his spoon, licking off mango ice cream into his mouth. 

“Yeah, me too.”

Remy is Bad Boy. Nothing gets to him. He’s got shades inside and a leather jacket in any weather. He’s Aloof.

So, no, he isn’t blushing just because Patton waved at him. No, he’s not stumbling over his words because Patton giggled in a way that was too cute to be human. He is decidedly not completely swept off his feet just by Patton smiling softly, sweetly, happily at him.

Nope. Not at all.

Patton is just a happy-go-lucky boi who wants the world to smile with him!

He likes to bake, and he’ll often carry around whatever pastries he baked the night before to hand out to anyone who’ll take one!

He’s known throughout the school. He’s just so damn fluffy and sweet. He got lost on his way to class one time, stumbled into a back room where some of the school’s toughest kids (bullies) were smoking and doing other generally not school friendly things

He offered them his donuts while he smiled and apologized and asked for direction to room 304

He knew all their names, didn’t look annoyed or frightened, just embarrassed for getting lost

Since then he’s been more or less off-limits to be picked on; messing with him gets you ganged up on by EVERYONE

It’s a very good thing that Patton’s sugary sweet because he honestly has too much power in the school

They first ran into each other (literally) in a hallway during passing

Remy wasn’t paying attention to where he was going until suddenly there’s a warm body slamming into his and multiple things falling

He bends down because his sunglasses got knocked off, reaching around blindly, grabs them just as someone else does (so cliched, I know, shh), looks up with a huff of annoyance because he doesn’t have time for this bs-

Turns out? It isn’t bs

He knows Patton by sight, of course, everyone in the school does, but he’s never seen him properly, it seems

Patton is... Patton’s literally glowing, Remy has to think, how his cheeks are a bright, rosy, beautiful red and his skin is sun-kissed golden like he’s a treasure built by gods and his hair is curly and bouncy and light brown with streaks of light bright bouncing blue

Everything about Patton screams- no, it doesn’t scream, it energetically but lovingly tells you- living, loving, bouncy and free and amazing

Remy is star-struck- after all, the sun (who is currently kneeling, personified, in front of him) is a star

Patton laughs, and somehow his laugh glows to, is warm like fresh-baked cookies and easy smile, and apologizes, jokingly saying he needs to look where he’s going, pushing the shades back into Remy’s grasp as he collects his papers

Remy manages to come to his senses enough to help with the pick-up, which he normally would never do, shuffling the papers together as he tried not to look directly at Patton as he handed them back

Patton thanked him with a smile that could have melted the Artic and pressed a cupcake into his hand, the bright yellow frosting on top dashed with black streaks to form a simply perfect smiley face, before hurrying off to his class

Remy remained standing in the hallway, looking at the cupcake held in one hand, glasses clutched in his other hand, a stupid stupid smile quickly spreading across his face and stretching cheeks that were burning

He missed his class and he didn’t care

He had a problem to deal with

Cue: Remy suddenly realizing he sees Patton a lot more often than he thought, and now that he realizes he shares a school building with the sun, with the embodiment of sunshine, with an angel who came to walk among humans as the ultimate sacrifice and brought his halo with him- brought it in his grin and laugh and personality, brought it in his treats and the way he touched people even with just a moment shared- realizing that makes it a LOT HARDER to just ignore him

He’s the definition of a mess. His carefully crafted attitude of never-caring is falling to pieces in front of him. He needs to ignore Patton but... he doesn’t want to. Gods help him, Remy wants to chase that pile of fluff and chat with him as he walked to class and eat lunch with him and if he gets burned up in the other’s inhuman heat than it would be a beautiful way to go

It takes longer than it should for him to get over himself, weeks and nearly months of stumbling over everything he did while in Patton’s presence, to the point that pat probably thinks he’s a weirdo at this point, but finally Remy does it: he askes Patton if he can eat lunch with him. One time. One day. It’s small but it’s something and Remy needs something if he’s going to survive what he has quickly identified as a crush

The lunch is FANTASTIC- Patton is giggly and happy and fun to talk to, and Remy’s able to hold himself together just a little, if only to make this count; bantering with Patton with his snark, though it’s softer around Patton; sweeter, less condemning

When it’s over, he’s a little sad- but that’s okay. Remy ate lunch with Patton and it had been everything he could have hoped so, yep, he was good now, out of his system, this was definitely how crushes worked

Except... Patton found him out the next day, asking if they could eat lunch together again. And again. And again and again and again until they just ate lunch together, no questions, and sometimes on Wednesdays they ‘break’ into the school’s chem lab and Patton pulls ingredients out of his bag and they make mini treats while the chem teacher ‘doesn’t’ supervise and ‘doesn’t’ chuckle and roll his eyes when something inevitably sets on fire (Remy’s doing, always, not that anyone really minds)

(Yes the chem teacher is Logan)

And one day Remy’s chuckling as he helps Patton pat down the table he has, for the seventh time, managed to set on fire, and Patton runs out to get some paper towels from the bathroom (some batter spilled in the mess) and Mr. Logan says something like ‘this takes me back’

Remy: ‘oh, yeah? you burn a lot of tables in your youth, Mister?’

Logan: ‘not exactly, but... well, me and Virgil (aka Mr. Emo Weirdo, who has walked in on every single one of Logan’s classes at some point, mostly to offer wrong answers to questions that are at least half of the time poorly veiled flirts) used to break into the science classrooms and make rather dangerous concoctions when we were in high school. off dates, I suppose, but when young and in love...’

Remy: ‘...what’

The conversation falls into confused Logan saying that Remy and Patton are dating, yes, it’s exactly what it looks like...

Remy’s mortified. He’s not dating! That would be- well that would be great actually- but he’s not dating him! That’s... that’s impossible!! He’s not... Patton would never want him, sweet sweet Patton who shines bright enough to light the world, they can’t be dating, it would never happen

Before anything more can be said Patton’s back and everything’s back to normal... or is it?

Remy starts hanging out with Patton less, worried he’s sending bad signals, or taking advantage of the sunshine, or something

Tbh... Logan thinking they were dating, and him considering that as a reality... it was amazing. He had never been happier.

But Patton wouldn’t want him, it wouldn’t be right, so he had to move on before his heart got broken and it was all his damn fault

Patton’s upset, and worried. what changed? Why is Remy avoiding him? Did he say something?

Patton finally corners Remy and it all spills out. Remy admitted he’s been crushing since day one, that dating Patton would be... would be incredible, but Patton’s just his friend, that’s all they are, he’s sorry he got ahead of himself or acted too close or anything-

Patton’s been steadily getting closer to him as he speaks, Remy’s words coming out quicker the closer they are, until Patton’s right in front of him and Remy’s breath is caught in his throat but he has to pretend it isn’t because it isn’t fair

But then Patton...

‘can I kiss you?’

Remy says yes so quickly it’s almost as if he had seen the question coming

The kiss is... it’s warm as freshly baked brownies and as sweet as them, it’s softer than just-washed blankets and as lovely as the first lilies of spring

Most importantly it’s with Patton, both of them holding each other, arms having wrapped around the other at some point, secure and soft and warm and, because it’s with Patton, utterly perfect

Once you arrive, you plop her on the counter and look around for some bandaids and gauze. After finding them, you walk over to her and gently put your hand on her thigh. "I'm gonna wipe your cut, okay? It might sting a little, but I'm right here. "Mmkay. M- make it quick please." You nod, and begin to wipe away the dirt from her pretty nasty cut. "H- hurts!" she whimpers, and grabs your free hand. "I know baby, I know. I'm almost done." A few more wipes and you're done. "Okay, all done with that. You hold up the boxes of bandaids you found. "Which one do you want? We have normal, big, oh, and Hello Kitty ones." Yachi shyly points to the Hello Kitty box, mumbling out something along the lines of "That one please." You smile, you'd been secretly hoping she would've picked them. Taking out a pretty pink bandaid, you gently apply it to her knee and stand up, but not before giving it a kiss. "All better?" A sniffle and a nod. "Mmhmm. I love you Y/n." "I love you too, my sweet one. Oh, wait!" She looks at you in curiosity as you pull another bandaid out of the box and put it on your knee. Now we're matching! C'mon, let's get going. I'll carry you."
