So at my work we sell calico critters which are near and dear to my heart, and I've also been super into Trigun Stampede lately, so naturally my brain gave me this wonderful concoction that I had to draw and share with you all.

to celebrate october here is pumpkin snoopy

#shoutout to the failed attempt of the lucy gray dress #i mentioned it had a LOT more orange than other colors but i didn’t realize just how much until i started crocheting this #like i still did have to buy more orange yarn (as u can tell i did not do a good job color matching) but it was TEENY #speaking of crochet #crochet adventures #i multiplied everything by four at the bottom which is why the tail looks so blocky and wonky #at least i figured it out by the face that multiplying everything by two was literally so perfect #for the finer details (like the tail and face) i mean #i rlly wanted to start multiplying by four again when i got to the pumpkin but up top but i ran out of yarn :(#but it’s ok it’s giving witch hat #also snoopy automcially makes everything sm cuter so even though i did make a lot of mistakes at least he cancels it out #also disclaimer he does have feet i just couldn’t fit it all in the frame LOL

Well, I wasn't able to find any cute plastic drawers, but I did manage to snag this from my work. It's probably a tad too big to be considered "doll scale" but it's perfect for storing so many doll accessories. I'm so excited to paint it!

Pros of these poinsettia coasters:

- stinking cute

- so quick and easy, I made one and didn't even need to look at the pattern for the second, I can just crank these bad boys out without even counting past the first twelve stitches [pattern for those who'd like it, I just switched the first two colors]

- functional! christmasy! adorable! kitsch! yay!

Cons of these poinsettia coasters:

- ignore all the fucking ENDS I've yet to weave in, that's a problem for future me

- that green yarn is an actual sensory nightmare of plastic and itty bitty scratchy fibers all over my face and hands and general person everywhere

- six deep, I have finally reached like. halfway through. the number of them that I need to make, and brother the yarn is going fast

- I won't deny that the moment I realized that at some point over the years, I had turned into the kind of person who worries about their coasters coordinating with the Christmas table runner at a holiday dinner they absolutely do not want to give to their in-laws, it felt a bit like my legs had slipped out from under me. I won't deny having had a slight crisis of identity about it.

#splatoon #splatoon 3 #splatfest #marie #marie splatoon #splatoween #frostyfest #springfest #summer nights #grand festival #this is kind of the opposite of Frye's ranking #despite how much I love Marie's design I'm pretty lukewarm on her outfits #Springfest Marie is great #I have established by now I love bright colors #the soft greens and pinks are perfect for spring and Marie #plus her gray hair matches the colors well #can you guys guess what my favorite splatfest outfits for the Squid Sisters are yet #Grand Festival Marie is really good it just feels a bit plain in both colors and detail #I love the crown though #the splatoween outfit itself is great but I don't think it fits Marie that well #I realized the reason why is because of her hair color #Callie's tentacles are already black which perfectly fits Halloween but Marie's gray hair clashes with the holiday's colors #she still looks beautiful though because she is Marie #Summer Nights Marie is admittedly growing on me but I'm not a big fan of the hair #I found an image of the summer version with her OG hairstyle and I think that looked better #it's ok if you like it btw it's just not my thing #and uh Frostyfest Marie is alright her hair matches her outfit colors

hmmm...!! i could look into it! it is a little tough finding moths that fit my weird qualifications for the system but it would definitely be fun to make more.....

#tech.txt #btw my qualifications are that they have to have a meaning/color scheme that fits the original term/umbrella in some way #and that they either have a common name or a scientific name that i can compress where its still recognizable #like how the oriental orange banded green geometer moth got turned into the gavissima moth because. thats a fucking mouthful #and how the rosy maple moth one is called that and not dryocampa rubicunda #also like how the baphomet moth and pine devil moth dont really match daemoniaku color-wise #but their names were so perfect i had to use them #that sort of thing
