Imagine knowing someone is so infatuated with you that they would dedicate their entire life to you after death. Nigel was so sure. he KNEW IT IN HIS HEART that he would live on through Alex. Imagine being so sure that someone would change the entire course of their life for you even after death, and then easily dying without worry because you know you have become immortal by being loved by this person.

Nigel knew how far Alex's descent into madness, and ultimately, his love for Nigal, had gotten.

Nigel knew that with the intensity of Alex's love for him, his death was the heartbreak Alex needed as cataclysm to keep his mission and legacy alive.

Nigel: “Pray for me.” Alex: "What are you doing?" Nigel: "Pray for yourself. We're one now."

This is it. this is the moment. By dying in his physical body, Nigel was simultanuously reborn in Alex. Because it is at Nigel's death that the grand scheme of his mission was set into motion.

The success of this renders Nigel immortal. With every new "partner" Alex hunts, or will be hunted by maybe, Nigel lives on.

It’s such a small little thing but the queens reactions when Brennan laughed at the Michelle Visage joke made me so happy. He didn’t draw attention to himself or pat himself on the back. It’s like you could see the queens relax a little and feel like they could fully be themselves in a space they all weren’t really used to being in. They know they don’t have to appeal to Brennan, but it’s also fun to know they’re at a table where their work is known and respected and it’s such a small thing but it means so much

ortega ended up hallucinating sidestep after they "died", but sidestep doesnt know about that. they know it got bad, but never the full extent of how their death affected them. so if your sidestep Did learn, if they found out ortega looked for them in every little piece they could, would that change anything for your sidesteps? would their relationship with ortega be any different?

like why did they change where Vegeta was when Cell announced the cell games in the anime

why did they make this vegeta starting shit with yamcha instead of chillin in the lab with his family? why did they take Bulma out of the lab? Why'd they say she was Out while Dr Brief was repairing 16? Why did they change Bulma working on advanced robotics to running in late with her baby?

it's the same scene except: - Bulma's actively at work being a scientist - Vegeta's not being rude to her (or anyone else!) - Vegeta waits for Trunks instead of leaving the room - Cell interrupted the airwaves, which means Trunks and Vegeta were just hanging out with Bulma and Dr B while they were working

Those are all Great Character Details!! That the anime rails against!!

What do you enjoy about the Terrifier series?

the first movie was just meh to me but the second is a proper slasher film in a way that manyyyyyy of the so called revivals of the past few years try but never come close. before watching it i just figured it was a splatter film and was happy that one was playing in theaters but nothing caught my attention really. but i'm glad i watched them back to back and got to enjoy the second one. it understands so much abt a slasher film while still keeping the oldschool splatter set pieces. it understands that a horror movie needs characters and needs space for them to be, you know, people. it understand that the hangout aspect of a slasher is KEY. that tension is needed but that it doesnt mean that you can only have an explosion of blood in the last 20 minutes. i was sold by the dream sequence at the start. there's bits of rob zombies halloween 2, nightmare on elm street, even the prowler in it but it's its own thing and it feels so genuine and that it had actual human beings behind it. that's all i want in a horror movie these days lol. the mother alone, there's so much in there that in someone else's hands would just feel hollow, a pastiche, but to me she was so real. idk. to some it was an attempt at fixing past mistakes but to me it all felt incredibly sincere. a v generous movie. glad it wasn't glossy bullshit. i had fun! will be seeing art at the theater in november!

nothing more cringe than coaxing and half-forcing someone to go to the movies with you because you're talking up how good the last one in the series was and then they finally agree to go and then it ends up being over two hours long and also kinda the worst 😬
