The Monaco apartment was dimly lit, the quiet hum of the city filtering through the windows as she and Max sprawled on the plush gray couch. Her focus was entirely on her phone, the small screen glowing softly against the shadows of the room. She was watching clips of one of her favorite streamers, a smile playing on her lips as chuckles spilled out, warm and genuine, every few seconds.

Max glanced at her, his curiosity piqued, but it quickly shifted to something closer to irritation as he caught sight of the screen. There was a guy—confident, good-looking, and undeniably funny—reacting to a video while cracking jokes that clearly had her entertained.

“Is it really that funny?” Max asked, his tone carrying a hint of that unmistakable jealous edge.

She looked over at him, catching the way his jaw tightened slightly, his blue eyes narrowing at the sight of the streamer. It was endearing, really, how transparent he could be. “It is, actually,” she said lightly, her voice laced with teasing amusement.

Max’s eyebrows shot up, and he gave her an unmistakably offended look. His arms crossed over his chest as he leaned back against the couch, his pout making him look every bit like a sulking child.

“What’s that look for?” she asked, her laughter bubbling up again, softer this time. She knew exactly what that look meant—Max Verstappen, fierce on the track and cool in almost every situation, didn’t like sharing her attention, not even with someone on a screen.

He shook his head, but the twitch of his lips betrayed him. “Nothing,” he said stubbornly, though his eyes flicked back to her phone. “I just didn’t know your sense of humor was so… basic.”

Her laughter turned into a snort as she nudged him with her foot. “Oh, come on. You’re jealous, aren’t you?”

Max scoffed, his cheeks flushing just slightly. “Jealous? Of that guy?” He gestured toward the phone with exaggerated disdain. “Please.”

She raised an eyebrow, a playful grin tugging at her lips. “You totally are. Admit it—you hate that he’s making me laugh more than you do.”

Max huffed, but there was no real heat behind it. “I’m way funnier than him,” he muttered, leaning closer to grab her phone. She squealed in protest, holding it out of his reach.

“You’re ridiculous,” she said between laughs as she tried to fend him off.

“Maybe,” Max replied, his grin breaking through as he managed to snag the phone. He paused the video and set it on the table, his attention fully on her now. “But at least now I don’t have to compete with Mr. Streamer.”

She rolled her eyes, her amused smile teasing. “You’re impossible, like a baby all day craving attention,” she joked, knowing he only acted so clingy with her.

Max smirked at her words, leaning in slightly, his eyes glinting with that playful, mischievous look he always got when he was about to turn the tables. “A baby, huh? Is that what you think of me?” he asked, his voice soft and teasing as he slid closer to her on the couch.

She laughed, shaking her head. “Oh, absolutely. A big, sulking baby when you don’t get what you want.” Her tone was light, but the way her heart sped up as he closed the distance between them was impossible to ignore.

“Well,” Max murmured, his voice dropping as his face inched closer to hers, “babies need lots of love, don’t they?”

Her breath caught for a moment, the playful atmosphere shifting into something warmer, softer. She felt his hand gently settle on her waist, pulling her just a little closer as his lips brushed against her temple in a featherlight kiss.

“You’re ridiculous,” she muttered, though her voice lacked any conviction. She turned her head slightly, meeting his gaze. The proximity made her stomach do flips, and she couldn’t help but smile.

“And yet,” Max said, his lips curving into a grin, “you put up with me anyway.”

Before she could reply, he leaned in fully, capturing her lips in a soft, unhurried kiss. It wasn’t rushed or demanding, just sweet and full of affection, the kind of kiss that made her forget everything else for a moment. His hand moved to cradle her cheek, his thumb brushing against her skin as he deepened the kiss slightly, enough to make her head spin.

When they finally pulled apart, her cheeks were flushed, and she couldn’t suppress the shy smile tugging at her lips. Max looked down at her with a smug expression, clearly pleased with himself.

“That’s cheating,” she whispered, her voice breathy but amused.

“Cheating?” he echoed, leaning his forehead against hers. “Pretty sure this is just me winning.”

She rolled her eyes again, laughing softly as she relaxed into him, letting her head rest against his chest. His arms wrapped around her securely, holding her close in the dim light of the apartment.

“You’re impossible,” she murmured, though the affection in her tone was unmistakable.

“And you love it,” Max replied, pressing another kiss to her hair as they settled into a comfortable silence.

pairing: steve harrington x fem!reader ( no use of y/n ) summary: steve is bored at work and you're the only one who makes his day better content warnings: nothing

Steve leaned against the counter, the boredom etched across his face as his fingers drummed an aimless rhythm on the countertop. With a loud, exaggerated groan, he let his head fall back dramatically. 

“Will you stop it?” Robin snapped from behind him, not even looking up from the stack of DVDs she was sorting through. 

“Stop what?” Steve groaned again, his tone deliberately petulant. 

“That!” Robin shot back, exasperated. She abandoned her post and grabbed a handful of DVDs, heading toward one of the shelves to restock them. 

Steve didn’t answer, but the tapping stopped. 

Robin glanced back over her shoulder, smirking knowingly. “You know, she’s probably gonna come by later.” 

Steve froze, his fingers hovering mid-tap on the counter. He tried to play it cool, leaning back against the counter as he scoffed. “Who are you talking about?” 

“Steve,” Robin warned, her tone dripping with the kind of exasperation that only came from knowing someone far too well. 

He looked over his shoulder at her, feigning cluelessness. “What? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” 

Robin rolled her eyes so hard she probably saw the back of her skull. “Oh, come on. Don’t play dumb. We both know who I mean.” She stacked the last DVD on the shelf and crossed her arms, quirking an eyebrow at him.

Steve gave up the charade with a sigh, standing a little straighter. “Did she tell you she was coming by?” he asked, trying and failing to sound nonchalant. 

“No,” Robin said, shrugging her shoulders. “But her car just parked outside.” 

Steve’s head whipped around so fast he almost gave himself whiplash. Sure enough, your car was pulling into the parking lot, and he couldn’t help the smile that broke across his face. 

Robin snorted, shaking her head as she turned back to her work. “You’re pathetic, you know that?” she muttered, though there was a faint smile tugging at her lips. 

Outside, you parked your car in front of the video store, glancing at the plastic bag filled with DVDs on your passenger seat. They were the ones Steve had recommended last time, and you’d watched every single one. Truthfully, you weren’t even sure you were interested in half of them—but you’d watched them anyway, just so you’d have something to talk about with him when you came back. 

Adjusting the bag in your grip, you stepped out of the car, smoothing out your shirt as you walked toward the door. Through the window, you could see Steve at the counter, already looking in your direction with that trademark grin of his, the one that made your stomach do an annoying little flip. 

You pushed open the door, the bell jingling softly as you stepped inside. “Hey,” you greeted, trying to keep your tone casual. 

“Hey,” Steve said, his voice a little too eager as he straightened up. 

Robin shot him a look over her shoulder, but she didn’t say anything—yet. 

You walked up to the counter, setting the bag of DVDs down. “I’m returning these,” you said, holding up the bag. “And, uh… I might need some more recommendations.” 

Steve’s grin widened. “Oh, I’ve got a list,” he said, already leaning forward on the counter like you were the most interesting person in the world. 

Robin groaned from the back. “You always have a list,” she called out, though her tone was more teasing than annoyed. 

You laughed softly, and Steve looked back at Robin, narrowing his eyes. “Do you mind?” he said pointedly. “Some of us are working.” 

Robin threw her hands up in mock surrender, retreating to the shelves. “Fine, fine. Just don’t scare her off, Harrington.” 

Steve rolled his eyes before turning his attention back to you. “Don’t listen to her,” he said, his voice dropping slightly, his tone more conspiratorial. “She’s just jealous she doesn’t have my impeccable taste in movies.” 

You smirked, resting your hands on the counter. “Well, let’s hear it, movie expert. What’s on the list?” 

And as Steve began rattling off titles, complete with his over-the-top descriptions and reasons why this one is an absolute must-watch, you couldn’t help but smile. Even if you weren’t totally sold on his recommendations, you knew you’d be back—because it wasn’t really about the movies.

I get worried promoting my patreon at the risk of sounding annoying, but I want to hit a pledge goal this year so I can focus uninterrupted on this video game until there’s something cool and polished I can give to u. For my goal I wanted to hit 300 patrons!

I have some ideas too relating to working on some new swords and a longer swordtember-like challenge where I can draw 1 sword a week based on patron suggestions :} this is something I’ve been wanting to do for a long time but I cannot afford the time to right now. This could also include fanart suggestions, and other fun stuff like that!

BG3 Headcanons No One Asked For (ilikecrocssuckit edition)

This episode: Each companion at the movie theater!

Astarion

Gets Hot Tamales candy or other cinnamon one just because it allows him to feel some semblance of warmth.

Pretends to like horror movies. Actually finds them deeply troubling and triggering but he'll be twice-damned if he shows that.

Chronic hater of every movie ever.

Gale

Rather disgusted by theater concessions. Still buys the biggest popcorn because he knows it's how they make money.

Seeks out the artiest and most pretentious films possible. Donates to the Baldur's Gate film festival and submits to it every year specifically to support such films.

Meticulously crafts his Letterboxd reviews after every screening.

Karlach

Wants to get a shushy but they always melt too fast so she never bothers anymore. Settles for popcorn, nachos, and 3 hot dogs.

Genuinely loves horror movies and finds Ghostface, Art the Clown, and Michael Myers attractive. Mostly though, she just loves being at the movies.

Cheers and laughs and generally reacts enthusiastically when the movie calls for it. She always cleans up after herself if she spills though.

Lae'zel

Rarely eats at the theater until she learns that they make money off of concessions, then follows Gale's lead because she finds the fact that they don't make money doing the thing they're designed for reprehensible.

Mostly just fascinated by the fact that movies exist and people put effort into creating them. Deeply interested in the filmmaking process and specifically looks for Blu-Rays with extensive behind the scenes features when she likes the movie. Treasures her Lord of the Rings Extended Editions for this reason.

Obsessively watches those "Expert Breaks Down Scenes From Movies and TV" videos because she wants to know where her favorite things succeed and fail so she can write letters to those responsible in the crew.

Shadowheart

Loves the Good & Plentys or other licorice candies. Doesn't like popcorn. Gets an obnoxiously large drink though and almost always beelines for the bathroom after the movie's over or sometimes during. Relies on Lae'zel to fill her in afterwards because Lae'zel won't speak during the movie itself. This has caused her to be confused about major plot points on multiple occasions.

Loves the horror movies that even make Karlach squirm. The really extreme horror ones that get like a one or two night release or get shown at the grindhouse that Orin frequents. Also has a soft spot for family dramas and romantic comedies but she'll never suggest them as something to go see.

Genuinely fails to see the point of theaters in the age of streaming [Editor's note: Yes, I do hate this about her.] Still goes because it makes Lae'zel happy.

Wyll

Buys a big slushie and puts it in Karlach’s cup holder. Gets a modest popcorn for himself.

Doesn't particularly have a lot of preference for what they watch. Usually just lets it all soak in. Has a penchant for swashbuckler epics though, and secretly keeps his eye out for rereleases of some of the classics. Sad there are hardly any made anymore.

Has the theater membership so everyone else can get cheaper tickets. Is happy to help his friends be more social and get out of the house.

Bonus

Halsin

Has a kink about sex in the back of the theater. Rarely gets to indulge. Sometimes goes to whatever the biggest R-rated bomb of the weekend is with his date so he can do so.

Jaheira

Exclusively sees children's and family movies with her wards and Minsc. Too busy otherwise. Maintains an encyclopedic knowledge of them regardless.

Made the mistake of thinking animation=kid-friendly only once.

Minsc

Only goes when Boo is excited for a movie or when asked by one of Jaheira's wards.

Boo loves to watch space sci-fi to laugh at the inaccurate aliens. Still appreciates practical effects of them though. Minsc just enjoys explosions and cool spaceships.

Wishes someone would make a movie about him. He would absolutely be banned from the set for being too nitpicky.

Elliott:

Elliott had recognised Farmer as soon as they first met near Willi's shop. And how could he not - a famous writer in the horror genre, whose lines skilfully present anxiety and intrigue to the reader, had come here to Stardew Valley! On top of that, it was Farmer who was the one who inspired the ginger writer not to give up on his writing path despite the comments of others. Naturally, the two will find quick common ground, exchange ideas and advice about their work (if Farmer continues to write novels in addition to their new job), or just relax over a mug of strong ale. Elliott is delighted to meet them and hopes that the Valley will become a home and a place of inspiration for Farmer, just as it has become a home for Elliott.

Sebastian:

At first, Sebastian couldn't believe his own ears when he heard Farmer's first and last name during their meeting, but then, upon asking Farmer again a little later, they confirm the local emo's speculation. The new farmer who has taken over their grandpa's old house is the author of all five volumes of Cave Saga, his favourite books! Sebby loves science fiction and sci-fi, and Farmer's works in this genre are bestsellers in the Republic and a gem in Sebastian's personal collection of his books and comics. He will be a little awkward at first to approach them due to his shyness and reluctance to show himself like an obsessive fan or something. But Farmer turned out to be a very chill and nice person, with whom Sebastian became friends pretty quickly.

Shane:

After Shane had replied to Farmer upon introduction in a not too polite manner, he wondered if somewhere he had heard their surname/name before. Not the chatter of townsfolk who were intrigued by the new resident of the Valley, much earlier. The realisation came when he started reading Jas her favourite bedtime story (which Shane also secretly loved) in the evening. "The Brave Little Sapling. Author-" !!! No way... Could it be a coincidence? But overheard conversations of others confirm that Farmer is the same author. Sigh... Though it's a children's book, it raised some pretty adult issues, and helped Shane to not give up and to appreciate what we have. He doesn't know how to address Farmer now, after a not very great first meeting, but he thinks it's worth apologising at least.

Alex:

Perhaps Alex would have reacted to the news that Farmer was a famous writer more surprised or enthusiastic. The thing is - and he's ashamed to admit it - he hasn't read very many books in his entire life. Athlete, however, wants to catch up, and has been blowing the dust off some of the books on his shelf since last week. Most of them were as boring as integrals, to be honest, but 'Jack Be Nimble, Jack Be Thick' has become his favourite. Easy to understand, lots of pictures, some puns, and very cool tips for him - no wonder it's the most popular according to reviews. "This is my first volume, I already wrote a second one." Wait... Farmer is the author of this book? Hey, there's so much great advice in there! That's awesome! Now Alex is super excited.

Sam:

Not to say that Sammy is a big fan of books, he's more of a comic book fan, but there are a couple of exceptions. One great fantasy book, based on which people created some great video games and produced a lot of comics - naturally the young guitarist, who loved the franchise, wanted to know the source material, and the book was even more interesting. When he mentioned it to Farmer, the Valley's newest resident, about it, they told him they were the author of the book. Which made Sammy's jaw drop with shock. He couldn't contain his delight and would ask questions about the fictional world, but wouldn't disturb their peace if they didn't want to. Whether they continue write or not, Sam will thank them for a great book and a cool fictional world Farmer created.

Harvey:

Hmm, funny coincidence..... The surname of the new resident of the Valley and Harvey's patient is exactly the same as the surname of the author of one of the most popular love novels, "The Apple Orchard." Yes, the doctor is a fan of this book series, he's not just into medical reference books and encyclopaedias about aeroplanes, you know. True, now he's heard that the author wanted to retire... "Well, not exactly, I wanted to take up farming and make writing a hobby again, not a full-time job." Not a coincidence, then... Harvey is pleasantly surprised that his new friend is his favourite writer, also a decent man and a calm patient during check-ups. The relationship won't change much, the doctor doesn't want to inundate Farmer with a bunch of questions about book universe. Maybe later, if they want to talk about their novels over a cup of coffee.

Hi hi :3 thanks for asking Dismp (Divorcesteal) is a server made up of a lot of artists / writers / etc who were in the lifesteal community (a lot of us were also stream mods). While it uses a lifesteal plugin, a lot of the server is more interpersonal conflicts in relation to violent acts and the conflict between those who embrace the plugin and act more violent and instigate and those who reject the idea. As a player, its very fun to navigate this kinda of competitive server with a very low skill ceiling, as you'll have players build and fire arrow canons then drop their swords constantly when getting into fights. I'd say the current "lore" per say is about helplessness in the face of power, consequences for actions, insecurity and accepting love, and the conflict of differing playstyles on a "competitive" server. and gay marriage and divorce as you would expect by the title. everyone leans into storytelling, but not everyone is explicitly intentionally roleplaying a seperate character, most people act like more dramatized versions of themselves. There aren't any videos made on the server yet, but people do stream! Most would be happy to explain whats going on to twitch chatters if asked. I feel like now is a really good time for a Stepford Wives.....not exactly remake.....but like.....reimagining. We won't even call it Stepford Wives.

We've got a lot of influencers preaching very traditional women's roles (while not truly living what they preach a lot of the time) and a lot of grifters preying on very specific ideas of a purer, better kind of Femaleness that you can get in touch with if you just buy into their diet/crystals/tea/supplements/yoga/radical political beliefs.

And certain types of dudes are being very loud and disagreeable about wanting control over women's lives and bodies.

So, instead of "woman moves to Stepford with her husband who joins a Men's Club while she tries to make new friends and retain her identity and watches cool ladies suddenly become weird idealized stereotypes (and also robots)"....Let's start with a woman who is an influencer.

Maybe that's been her goal, maybe it's something she stumbled into with a bit of viral success but friends are encouraging her to network and make it like a Thing. Capitalize on the accidental success. Her particular thing is a little offbeat and quirky and needs all the help she can get to find an audience! So she starts connecting with others and decides to go to a convention or seminar (in stepford maybe, lmao) for influencers and other folks making a career out of an online presence, not only for like advice and networking opportunities but to meet up with some of the folks she's made friends with.

At the same hotel is a convention for developers of next generation AI software. Cue joke about men not even needing women these days because they have their AI girlfriends with their perfect AI generated faces and voices and who can be shaped with prompts into exactly what men want with no real inner lives or needs of their own.

The convention is a little depressing for our MC gal as some of the talks she attends advise leaping on trends and playing it safe to appeal to a wider audience. And like, she doesn't want to be a soft-spoken trad-feminine beauty blogger making "delicious" health food for her family. (She has a cat and maybe she'd prefer a girlfriend.) She just wants to know how to make it easier for people who would like her content to find her.

She goes out for drinks with her pals that night and one of them is acting a little off, different than she did earlier, but she puts that down to the same sort of "authentic identity vs brand" issues she herself is working through.

But when she's back at home struggling with her next update and sees this friend's next post or video, she is shocked to see that her friend has gone very tradwife-y all of a sudden. She reaches out to her friend to be like "oh new direction. kinda a sharp pivot....? you know you don't HAVE to change up what you're doing just because someone at the convention said so, right?" and gets back a chipper note that this friend is just SO HAPPY with her new content. She didn't realize how unhappy....how unconnected to her inner goddess she had been. Plus, like, the stuff she was doing before was hurting her husband's chances at a real political career and she real wants to live in such a way that their lives and values are perfectly aligned, a team!

Okay, a little strange, but this was a new friend and maybe our MC just never really knew the real her. That's a risk with folks you meet online.

But then more and more of her fellow quirkier influencers start shifting their content to the same sort of bland, safe feminine content that reiterates a sort of second-to-your-man (and you DO have a MAN, right?) ideology. Their videos look very polished, but sort of wrong at the same time....and they all have new sponsors.

Desperately digging for info into those sponsorships (she knows how controlling those can be), she discovers they are all linked back to one guy, a venture capitalist whose put a lot of money into shady pyramid scheme type companies and has recently also starting investing in an AI company that sounds familiar. Our MC realizes she saw a lot of their banners at the AI conference sharing the hotel with her influencer conferences and realizes that it's possible someone hacked the hotel's data for the names, addresses, phone numbers, and credit cards of all the women at the influencer conference and has been using that information to target popular women whose content he doesn't like.

He's also been donating a lot to a campaign for a guy going for a house of reps seat on a platform with a lot of Traditional Values dogwhistles.

Digging further, reaching out to more people (neglecting her update schedule!) she's found worrying signs that the women whose content has suddenly changed haven't been seen out and about in person in awhile and she can't get any of them to agree to going out for a coffee or even an in-person collab for their instas! She even finds some Missing Person reports.

The idea that someone has maybe killed these women and replaced them with AI-generated versions that are increasingly unsubtle shills for a trad-femme/anti-feminist ideology (and a bunch of bogus products) is too ridiculous to be true! But also...increasingly too plausible to deny.

Our MC gathers her evidence. She doesn't think she can trust the cops with this. She's not really in the habit of trusting them, though if these women really are missing she'll have to talk to them eventually. But not until she can convince them she's not just some crazy. Not until she's built up some outcry and support for her suspicions. So she sets up her camera and prepares to record a True Crime style video on what she's uncovered.

In the artfully blurred background of her video we see movement. A person dressed in dark clothes. They go off camera while, uneasy, but unaware, the MC continues to narrate her video, gesturing in the air to where she will edit in graphics later. Just as she starts in on her sponsorship bit, a figure in black with surgical-gloved hands steps into the frame and kills her.

Cut to black. Credits roll, interspersed with clips from her new video! Which is a safer, tamer, more male-gaze-y take on whatever she did before. Other clips also play during the credits. Slight glitchy tradfemme videos. A few short reaction video clips to same. Short clip about the politician winning his seat. His wife is so proud of him and would be here by his side if she wasn't recovering from a recent medical procedure. But she'll be back at his side soon! More unsettlingly off clips, ending with a bit from the MC's sponsor moment that just straight up advertises for a perfect AI Assistant who is just like a friend who can help you keep track of all your responsibilities and help you so you have more time for You! (tho "more time for you" is paired with an image of the MC getting a chaste embrace from a handsome man in a soft sweater, as if "you time" is not complete without a man.) Cottagecore beauty blogger video called "How to get the Stepford Wife aesthetic!" but in between talking about where to find Gunne Saxe dresses online and how to do that 70s mascara look, there's something...off. She keeps jerking and repeating lines, like she's stuck in a loop. i just wanted to tell you a ginormous thank you for being my best role model <3 i was going to say that you're my biggest role model, but you're literally the opposite of that! i had this desire to binge a few nights ago, but i thought, what would water do? i watched some of your daily steps videos from tiktok, and omg my hunger disappeared faster than ever. it was actually insane how just how fast i snapped myself back into the good mindset.

so thank you for posting your tidbits of life and your motivating thoughts about 4n4!! seeing your posts about wieiads, steps, and daily thoughts helped me get out of a horrible binge cycle that lasted from august until december. i've been binge-free for the last 4 days, and even though that's a short amount of time in the long run, it's weird how i feel that i'm a completely new and different person. i'm thinking back to when i would binge everyday, and i just think it's insane that i was doing that, like that past version of myself wasn't me at all. idk if that makes sense tho

anyways that's my big thank you for being my role model! i'm also a ballet dancer so i find it really cool that you're so disciplined in your mind & your body, and i strive to be like you (not in a creepy way) <3

Hey Cake, how do the normal students react to videos of Amira? You mentioned that the staff and characters were sharing videos and info with the rest of the school. So how do the NPC students react, especially since she mentions some of the characters.

Went crazy writing this, wrote it all and the minute I went to post it was gone! Thanks for the question, this is gonna be more over just the NPC students, not the countries and cultures of their homelands. Housewardens and Vices basically have fan clubs in their dorms.

Heartslabyul 

“Did you hear the Goddess praising Housewarden Riddle’s performance in his equestrian club last night?” 

“Of course she did, Housewarden takes after the Queen of Hearts after all! Not to mention his grades are top of the class and he is one of the youngest Housewardens in Night Raven history. That’s got to be why our dorm has the most of her favored students.” Smirks were sent to a passing Savanaclaw student. 

“Hey, Trey-senpai has been baking almost nonstop for days now. Is something going on?” A duo of students peeked into the bustling kitchen. 

“Yeah, in last week’s stream the Goddess mentioned some of her favorite dishes and how she would like a garden party in the rose maze. Trey’s been practicing the desserts so that they are perfect when she arrives.” 

“Wow, with that kind of dedication, no wonder she favors him.”

Savanaclaw 

“Have you seen Leona-senpai on the Spelldrive field lately? He’s been absolutely on fire since the Goddess said she liked his strategies.” A group of Savanaclaw students gathered in the cafeteria, watching the practice on one of their phones. 

“I know! Housewarden has been practically hunting us in morning practice and I hear the Spelldrive club look almost professional now.” 

“She even mentioned wanting to see us play RSA! I swear we are going to win this year.” The group cheered before sneering as a group of Diasomnia students settled nearby. “At least our Housewarden makes sure we are all trained well unlike other dorms who only have one overpowered player.” 

“Man, Ruggie has been taking over all the dorm chores lately. What’s up with him?” A student walked into the washroom after morning practice. 

“Well yeah, on the Goddess stream Monday she mentioned how she liked how capable Ruggie was. She mentioned how reliable he was when he took over for the Housewarden.” 

“Really? Man, that’s so cool, even if he’s not the official vice he’s getting praises from her. Maybe I should try and take care of our dorm more?”

Octavinelle 

Mostro Lounge was currently undergoing renovations. Everyone in the dorm was lending a hand between classes. 

“Why are we redoing the lounge again? I thought the Goddess said she liked it?” 

“Dude, she didn’t just say she liked it! After you crashed, she said she looked forward to visiting the lounge and trying our food! Housewarden is setting up a special “VIP section” for her to sit at when she comes.” 

“No way! I hope I can serve her!” 

“That’s not all,” another student cut in, carrying a chair. “She compared his signature spell to the Sea Witch herself.” 

“That’s such a compliment!” 

On the other side of the lounge some of the third years sat, taking a quick break as they watched Floyd carry in a throne. 

“Have you seen all the students gathering around Jade lately?” 

“Yeah, after the Goddess said she liked his club and compared it to exploring the woods of her home a LOT of students have been asking to check out his club.” 

“He’s even had to limit how many can go on a hike, he said he only wants serious students to join the club.” 

“Man, and I thought he looked happy when she said she liked his tea making skills.” 

Scarabia 

A trio of students were currently decorating a balcony in the dorm. 

“Uh, why are we decorating all of a sudden? I don’t remember a party being planned today,” one student yawned, climbing a ladder to hang something. 

“You didn’t see the Goddess’ announcement last night man?” His friend asked, helping to steady him. 

“Nah, I stayed up all night to study for an exam in astronomy. I hope that her true knowledge blesses me, I’ve been struggling lately.” 

“Oh man, you may just be blessed then,” the third cut in, bringing more decorations. “Kalim said the Goddess herself is blessing us with a light show tonight.”

”What!?” The tiredness left the first boy’s body as he nearly fell off the ladder. “What did he do to get her blessing?” 

“From what she said she’s been in a down mood lately and Kalim managed to raise her spirits. So she is blessing us to raise ours!” 

“No surprise there, Kalim can lift anyone’s mood.” 

“Oh man, have you seen what Jamil is cooking for the party?” A few students were preparing the dining room for the feast. “I’ve never even seen most of those dishes.” 

“I know. In the last stream our Lady of Prosperity said that Jamil was one of the best cooks she knows. And since we heard her favorite dishes last week he’s making them all for the celebration.” 

“Ha! I heard the vice in Heartslabyul was doing the same, but he needs practice. Of course our vice would already be knowledgeable about all of the dishes!” 

Pomfiore 

The dorm had been in a riot since last week’s stream. Not only had she called Vil the most beautiful man she knew, but she had introduced them to her love for unconventional and experimental makeup. She stated how she did like beauty and glam looks, but that makeup could do so much more. And the very next day Vil had managed to put together a full photo shoot of unique but extravagant makeup looks. 

“Oh! To be under Vil’s leadership! He’s pulled off each look with such perfection the Goddess herself must have blessed him!” A student cried, ‘fainting’ on a couch. 

“Vil may be the only one able to stand next to the Fairest Queen in beauty!” 

Rook was amused, going from the hunter to the hunted. 

“Rook-senpai! Please teach us how to see beauty like you!” 

“Yes, the Lady of Beauty says you are blessed with sight, teach us your ways.” Oh boy. Let’s leave that alone. 

Ignihyde 

Idia was already known to be an absolute wiz with tech, but when the Goddess of invention called him the most talented technomage of their age? Oh Ignihyde may be full of introverts, but they were still just as prideful as the rest of the school. Forums were dedicated to reviewing Idia’s designs and breaking them down to improve their own designs.

 “Hey, do you know why Housewarden used this filament here?” 

Ortho on the other hand… 

“Did Ortho just make a new set of attachments? I thought he made some a few days ago?” A student asked as they saw the cyborg fly off. 

“He did, but he heard the Lady break down some of his looks and what she liked. He’s working to create a new look based off her input.” 

“Cool, he can fully edit his look based on her favorite aspects of each design.” 

Diasomnia 

The students of Diasomnia already revered Malleus due to his sheer power, but lately his look had been changing daily. 

“To hear the Lady of Light call out Malleus-san’s regal looks must be such an ego boost,” a student whispered, seeing the prince adjust his hair to reveal the scales on his forehead. 

“Not only did she call him regal, she said that he looked just like his mother and that the ‘Draconia family have such gorgeous features’. She even said that their good looks matched their power.” 

“She also said that they had a temper and said she would chastise him for causing storms like a fledgling,” one chuckled. “Said that dragons were temperamental but wonderful things.” 

“Have you seen Lilia today? He’s practically glowing since the Lady called him a wise advisor.”  

“At least she told him to stay away from the kitchen for our sake.” 

“Thank the Goddess,” a chorus of voices agreed. 

On the other hand the ‘random’ students she favors can get mixed results. 

Ace and Deuce 

They don’t really get special treatment as individuals, but as a duo they are the Champion’s closest companions. They are looked at favorably as the Goddess favors their loyalty and determination, but for the most part they are just ‘the Champion’s friends.’ 

Jack Howl 

Savanaclaw has a grudging respect for the wolf. As a Goddess of justice she highlighted his bravery to stand against his whole dorm. Some are whispering about him taking over after Leona. But most of the older students from his dorm tease him after the Goddess called him a cute puppy. 

Epel Felmier 

Epel was seen giving it his all at Spelldrive whenever he could. (He may also take breaks to put on a lotion/sunscreen since the Goddess said his skin was pretty.) Many of his dorm saw him as reliable since she had called his signature spell a lifesaver and quite beautiful. Others were also organizing a trip to his hometown after hearing her praise the beauty and community from the sled race some of their peers had challenged. 

Sebek Zigvolt 

Loud. No one could deny the first year was loud, but hearing the Lady of Light talk about him being considerate and passionate about all things made them look more at his words. When not praising Malleus (a rarity) he did have good insight on a number of topics. He clearly cared about his fellow first year friends and others that gave him a chance. Like Jack though, many in his door teased him after the Goddess a hatchling following Lilia and Malleus around. 

Cater Diamond 

Before he was seen more as a shallow Magicam obsessed guy, but hearing the Goddess describe his moments of cunning had others wondering if he was in the right dorm. But hearing her praise his club and finding a good connection with his band mates drew more eyes to the Pop Music Club.

Floyd Leech 

Don’t get it wrong, everyone was still terrified of Floyd. But hearing the Goddess’ opinion on him made some curious. Hearing that he was into fashion and had hydro dipped Azul’s hat made some of the braver students approach the laid back tweel on occasion. Students were still wary, but seeing new sides of Floyd was eye opening. 

Silver Vanrouge 

Silver had a lot of Pomfiore students jealous of him now. Described as a prince, with the prettiest eyes, made a lot of others give Silver a second look. But hearing her admire his strength and training got him some challenges from other students (usually from Savanaclaw). He is seen as a good opponent, strong, will put his all into it, and will give you areas to improve on after the fight. Gained quite a bit of respect from certain dorms.

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible

like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

hey Genshin artists! i've got a tip for you!

TL;DR: In the current Fayz event in Genshin, on PC you can use the walking stance during time-freeze to "tick forward" time in tiny steps without cancelling the current animation. This can be really helpful for getting good reference photos with unique angles in each snapshot!

I'll be reblogging this post with a more detailed explanation and extra photos, but for this post I'm keeping it short and showing one set of images with instructions.

One note, though: you have to re-toggle walking after each time you "move". So the sequence is like this: Freeze time, take a photo, toggle walking, tap a movement key to unfreeze time, and repeat. You have to toggle walking each time you do this, because after each freeze/unfreeze, you're put back in the default running state.

Like when Benoit basically has to hold Miles' hand to get him to the conclusion that someone reset the puzzle box Benoit lies about receiving:

Benoit asks if it's possible that someone reset the box, and Miles then declares that someone must have reset the box like it is this huge reveal - and the camera zooms out while the music subtly swells as though he really has figured out something smart, when actually he literally restated what Benoit just said.
