Any thoughts on Scorpio rising women? Anyways i love your mindset and knowledges,keep going 🥨🥨
Scorpio rising women—
—Enigma. Complex. She carries a lot of baggage and wisdom on her shoulders, battling with the grief of knowing what she went through and why. And yet understands the importance of healing it all.
—She can be distant, appear cold, and private. She knows the importance of privacy and withholding information about herself to others. It’s not necessary for the flair of the dramatic, but she knows those who know too much can hurt her.
—Seeks to observe. She doesn’t like to throw herself in situations without knowing who’s involved what their role is. She’s cautious, and her confidence is quiet, because she knows insecurity is loud.
—Of course, there’s that side to her that is cautious, and there’s this side to her only those closest see. She can be funny, witty, and loving. She is fiercely protective over what she loves including people, loyal, and a ride or die. She expects the same in return from others, no less.
—Perspective taking. The things she can say will linger in your mind forever. She says all the things you wish you could say.
—Intuitive. She has deep nudges of what may happen next, or her intuition guides her on what to do in situations. It was easy to once ignore it, because other people deemed her incapable. But once she tapped into its true purpose, she listens to it.
—Better to listen to it now than to make a huge mistake, right?
—Sweet. As much as these natives appear indifferent, or introverted, they are capable of caring. They just are selective with who they show it to. This doesn’t make them odd, weird or strange. They just prefer those who prefer them. That’s all.
—Detail oriented. They think deeply. They may actually have an eye for art or music because of this. They can find a way to express how they feel—the shame, the distraught parts of them, guilty and repressed. This is why their art or music is so moving.
—Acknowledges the pain of her past and who she used to be, and where she wants to be. She knows it’s important to have visions and goals and dreams for herself. After all, it was once taken. Now she protects them and holds them close to her heart. This is why she hardly shares parts of herself to just anyone.
—These natives have such a big heart. A lot of people think they don’t, but I’d think of their heart as a bleeding heart. It’s open, it’s wide, but no one paid attention to the wound. And through out the years they learned to cover it up, but it’s there and it’s alive.
—So, even if they couldn’t have people to cry to, this is why they are so expressive in their arts or music, or dancing, etc. There is no one to talk to, but themselves, because they can see their own heart. And there is acceptance for all its stages of grief.
—Careful. They are careful with those around them, especially with those they care for because they know what it’s like to be mishandled before. This may make them appear as “slow” or “distant,” but they are taking their time in opening up. They are learning to embrace love and affection in ways they didn’t before.
—Her absence is felt like a deep cut. Even after a long time, the pain never truly goes away. There’s always a sting. A reminded of who she was and what she showed you. Scorpio women are intricately deep, imaginative, intuitive and intelligent. She understood you in a deeper way, in ways you didn’t see yourself before.

Hello! Love your blog and your takes, objective and sane and well researched chefs kiss! I had a blast scrolling through it like it was my feed yesterday lol can you elaborate on klaus and Paul if possible? People mostly talk about them like it’s already understood but I don’t understand 😭 I’m kinda lost on their (all of them, including stu) dynamic during the hamburg years specifically when it comes to Paul
Aww thank you anon! Tbh I was starting to feel a bit down about my blog and what I was putting out ( the eternal crisis on how to give full answers and opinions without being stupid, boring and annoying lol). So I really, really needed this. :)
Oh Paul vs/and the Exsis, it's quite a long one so buckle up.
Disclaimer: all of the people involved are essentially art kids/young adults who are famously the most exhausting people on the planet. Do not blame them for being dramatic, it's their natural state of being.
If we want to go into Paul and Klaus, we have to kind of start with the John, Paul and Stu. Now these three are a mess that's too big to go into here (though I have THOUGHTS about how Stu is utilised in the Beatles narrative that I'm more than happy to share if asked lmaooo). But in short(ish):
John and Paul had had an intense year and a bit of closeness. Then John meets Stu at art college.
John and Stu become c l o s e for many reasons (being peers, living together, similar artistic leanings + ego, Stu being a gentle guide to John, sharing art projects/poetry/long letters and feelings etc.) They became 'closer than two men' a friend had seen (remind us of anyone gang?). Most importantly, John could be open about his feelings with Stu in letters. If John had BPD which I subscribe too, I think Stu was his 'favourite person' and as Aunt Mimi said his 'special' and 'closest friend' from this period up until his death (though imho the transference back to Paul was starting prior to his death).
It's not clear what exactly happens as there's differing accounts but Stu uses his money to buy a new bass as John wants him to come to Scotland then Hamburg and play bass as he will 'look good'.
Paul doesen't like being relegated to the seat behind John and Stu when he used to sit next to John. He also isn't thrilled when he gets to Hamburg and not only does he get to sleep in the other room with just Pete but Stu cannot be arsed to play because he's hanging out with his hot new girlfriend Astrid (more on her in a sec). Our boy has spent a lot of money he doesen't have and given up on further education to be here and is jealous and annoyed.
Paul and Stu probably were friends and I think their mutual antipathy is overegged. HOWEVER, can't be denied that Paul is jealous of Stu and Stu is jealous of Paul (and getting flare-ups from increasing brain damage). John and Stu tease Paul and steal his money, Paul is mean to Stu (as are the others encouraged by John). Do I think John was playing games with both of them? Yup. They end up scuffling onstage because Paul said something about Astrid (not clear what, one account is that Paul said that Stu could borrow money off Astrid if he needed it which isn't really that bad a dig but who knows Yoko??).
Why is this dynamic important? Because it directly impacts the 'Exsis' (Klaus, Jurgen and Astrid's) group's relationship with Paul:
The Exsis were young artists living in Hamburg. They were artistic, cool, interesting and edgy. They were paramount in introducing the Beatles to cool new concepts, aesthetics and ideas. They also took themselves VERY seriously ie pretentious as all hell.
Astrid met Stu at Kaiserkeller and hit it off. They embarked on an all-consuming romance.
Letter from Stu to Astrid, c.1961
I've seen people say they were the proto-John and Yoko in terms of making their romance the whole world and influencing John years down the line and I can see that. With Astrid and Stu it's far more endearing though because they ARE young and the right age to have a relationship like that. Stu is popular with the Exsis in general and brings them into the Beatles group.
The Exsis didn't like or trust Paul. Astrid said later it was because Paul was 'too nice' which she herself admits is a ridiculous reason. The others also thought he was a bit of a show-off. It makes sense though if you're cool and edgy and want to stick it to the world to be sus about a guy being friendly show-off with seemingly no inner world. The other problem was a perfectly reasonable one imo, you're not going to like your friends frenemy who you don't connect with. Compound that with Paul not taking drugs as much as George or John and being in the other room and you begin to have a division.
Paul had been popular his whole life, like from what we know since-primary-school-popular. He had never been in this position before, let alone in a foreign country. I believe it became a bit of a brutal feedback loop. Paul's response to this type of behaviour consistently it to go more surface level, snide and passive aggressive. The natural response of any group with a designated 'ugh' person is to become more shady and exclusionary. The cycle continues and gets worse. Stu letters back home at this time says that in a shocking turn of events Paul is hated by everyone but Stu 'just feels sorry for him' (lmao OF COURSE you do Stu, its giving 'loathing' from Wicked lol). Klaus drew a lot of artwork of the early Hamburg Beatles that includes this highly unpleasant picture of Paul in 1961 which I think says a lot:
Klaus is also a musician and fancies himself a place on bass. When Stu leaves to pursue art, Klaus asks John if he could take over but John says that he thinks Paul is going to do it.
Klaus has later gone on to say that he thinks he was a better bass player for the Beatles' sound at the start and then Paul developed into being better for the group. It's one of those I cannot believe those words actually left your mouth and you are not deeply embarrased moments. But it's important to keep this desire and viewpoint in mind.
Klaus stays in touch with all of them and close to John and George, George especially. They visit Klaus on holiday in tenerife in early 60s and Klaus later draws the Revolver artwork.
This whole context of how they met and Hamburg is crucial and has to be taken into account when hearing Klaus' statements. Klaus and Paul started off with a lack of connection and with Paul on the outs, the Exsis got an incomplete view of Paul and an inaccurate snapshot of the Beatles dynamic overall. This is why when Klaus says 'Paul was always slightly apart from the others' and that 'divorce was inevitable' from early 60s we should remember that that is what Klaus is expecting to see as that's what he saw in Hamburg.
Klaus wanted to be the bass player (and was holding out hope to join a band with George and John in the 70s), was really close with George and suffers as many did with 'John Lennon aspiring boy bestie syndrome' (JABBS). Paul had what Klaus wanted and from the Hamburg experience, you could see why Klaus thought he might have an in and may have been jealous of this 'shallow' Paul of all people having the connection that he felt he should/could have with John and George. As with most sufferers of JABBS, he took John's side with everything, always refused to say any regrets about his involvement in How do you Sleep and thought Paul was fine with the song because 'he was even closer to John than [he] was. (Again Klaus to put yourself in that level of closeness with John that it's comparable to Paul is ???.) JABBS and its secondary condition PMIETGSH (Paul McCartney isn't even that good shut up) are virulent diseases that incapacitate sufferers objectivity and judgement, so it's fair to say that Klaus is a source you have to take with a pinch of salt on the early 70s period.
It seems that Klaus and Paul did get on a lot better the older they got (probably without the jealousy complication of George and John) and developed a sweet friendship. Here is Klaus' tribute to Paul for his 80th:
Here is the jam session he's talking about:
youtube
He now wants Paul to live in his house lmao so things have gotten warmer. But Klaus and Paul's dynamic is a great example of how and why natural bias, little jealousies and spats can consciously or subconsciously influence our internal narrative and why we need to be so careful about not taking one perspective as gospel.
#I have to say my stock in John and Stu tanked when I transcribed that text from their shared sketchbook and it was an anti-Semitic story#My overall take on Hamburg was that they were all annoying lol#thank you again anon :)#though one thing that this post has reminded me of is that as much as I do try my best#no one can ever be fully objective#so always take that into consideration when looking at my posts as well lol#klaus voormann#the beatles#hamburg days#Stu Sutcliffe#submarine postbox#anon#ask#ask me anything#Paul#George#John#never forget JABBS is a chronic infectious disease and a key factor in the Beatles historiography

minho as your boyfriend!!! (pt. 1)
(based on astrology) 🔞
✨minho x reader (f); possessive fluff, slightly suggestive at the end

✨i will give a brief synopsis of what each chart placement means (for all my non-astrology friends out there <3) and how that would affect minho in a relationship :)
✨word count: ~2k
✨ author’s notes:
★★ (1) i do do brief astrological compatibility readings if anyone wants one! if you’re interested, message me your birth date, time, and location OR lmk your placements. i’m gonna limit the reading to include you x 1 skz member only! just specify who you’d like.
(2) i am wanting to get better at using neutral-gendered pronouns so more people can feel included in my posts. i’m really struggling since i use phrases like “my girl” a lot. anyone who has some good alternatives or tips, please message and lmk! i really want to be able to start cranking out more gn options!
(3) the aspects in this reading are based solely on my opinions and interpretations! nothing about a person is set in stone simply because of astrology. please don’t use anything i say as canon :)
(4) i will not be going into ascendant or house placements because lee know’s birth time has not been confirmed for AM or PM
✨warnings: some explicit language
✨ tl/dr: minho as your boyfriend will spoil the shit out of you and charm you until you can’t help but live and breathe him. he’s got to keep a grasp on you at all times- literally AND figuratively.
Sun in Scorpio: Sun signs are all about personality- the face you show the world! It is also the lens through which you usually see yourself and how friends would describe you.
• Scorpio has two planetary rulers- Mars and Pluto. Mars is the ruler of action and aggression, while Pluto is the ruler of transformation and rebirth. Scorpio is an amazing mixture of the two, as it embodies strong desires, innate control, and deep mental and supraphysical understanding.
• Scorpios encapsulate passion. They tend to have a deep understanding of others and can utilize this power to their advantage. They are able to influence others to do as they wish. Scorpios have a deep understanding of beauty and admire things that could be seen as dark, different, or strange to others.
• Scorpios have a tendency to become obsessive, controlling even, if not careful. They get fully engrossed into who other people are and want others to fully engross themselves in them as well.
• Scorpios are known for their creative and expressive nature- something that comes naturally to them. Because of this, they can really shine in areas such as art or drama, historian or detective, intuitive research or psychology, and are amazing for dabbling in the occult.
As your boyfriend:
• He is super protective over you. He’s always watching behind you as you do something to make sure you’re okay and no one is bothering you… And to be honest, I don’t think many people WOULD bother you, knowing you were the person with a psycho boyfriend (in a good way <3).
• He would bring you lunch any chance he got. If you were at work/school and he knew you hadn’t brought lunch or hadn’t had lunch that day, he’d definitely bring you something- whether he picked it up or made it himself. It also gives him an excuse to see you and check on you during the day.
• He knows when you are having a bad day. And he knows exactly how you need him to act in order to help you deal with it. When he senses something is wrong, he will pull you onto his lap in a hug and tell you to talk to him about it.
• Other people think he’s cold, but he’s definitely not with you. He loves you and nurtures you. He takes pride in knowing every part of you. He loves that there is a side of him that is specifically for you and not for the rest of the world. He’d like it if you were the same.
• He loves when the both of you have a chance to get dressed up. To look good for one another and just enjoy the other’s company.
• He loves nice dates, ones where he can make a grand gesture to make you feel loved and special.
• That’s why it was no surprise when he’d texted you earlier to dress up pretty for him and he’d be at your apartment to pick you up at 8.
• This was a monthly occurrence. Him surprising you with a nice date- and when I say nice, I mean NICE.
• Yes, you went on smaller dates a lot too, but he made it a priority to spoil you with something bigger at least once a month.
• So here you were, all dressed up in your favorite dark blue satin dress. It looked absolutely enchanting with it’s spaghetti strap and cowl neck top with a deep slit running up the side.
• You made sure to do your hair his favorite way- loose curls all brought to one side.
• You gave yourself one final look in the mirror, swiping on a glossy coat over your lip stain before heading out the door. Minho was already waiting on you downstairs.
• When he saw you like this, he always smirked.
• ‘Looking so beautiful all for me,’ he thought.
• Once you got to him, he just smiled at you, taking your hand in his.
• “Now, are you going to tell me where we’re off to?” you asked.
• “Shhh, you’ll see,” he kissed your hand, leading you out to the car.
• He always made sure to open the car door for you and make sure you were buckled before you took off.
• And of course he always had to rest one hand in his favorite spot- gripping onto one of your thighs. It was harder when you had a dress on, but he’d never let that stop him. He needed to always have a hold on you.
• Arriving at your destination, it was a quaint building you didn’t recognize. You’d never been here before, but it seemed to be a small restaurant with only a few (very nice) cars in the parking lot.
• The valet rushed to the car to speak with Minho and grab the keys.
• You smiled up at your boyfriend as he walked around to your side of the car, opening the door for you and taking your hand in his to help you stand.
• As you made your way toward the restaurant, he made sure to hold tightly to the one hand, while the other stabilized on your hip, making sure you were safe while ascending the few steps in front of you.
• “Hello, can I get your name please?” the host of the restaurant asked as you stepped inside. It was a beautiful restaurant- dark and sensual. There was very minimal lighting, but what they did have gave a beautiful warm glow. The sleek bar to the right shined bright from the sparkly crystal bottles aligning each of the shelves- luxury liquor only.
• “Lee,” he said, matter of factly, only taking a brief moment to look at the host. Tonight, his eyes were only on you.
• The host presented a big smile before stepping to the side and motioning for you to follow him. “Great, Mr. Lee. Right this way.”
• Minho let you walk just slightly in front of him, always watching your back to make sure he had a full view of you. One hand continued to rest on your hip. It was like it was glued there. He never wanted to lose contact with you.
• The host led you down one of the dimly-lit aisles and to the back of the building. Off to itself, he rounded a corner to lead to a beautiful, private, screened-in room in the back. It sat adjacent to a huge lake, which could be seen through the mesh netting of the “walls” that enclosed you. With the moon shining bright over the water and the stars on full display, it was a captivating view.
• Minho pulled your seat out for you to sit before pushing you in towards the table. You allowed yourself this moment to look around the beautiful secluded room. It was still dark like the interior of the building, with the nice, warm lighting. But there was an even more bewitching feeling to it through the beautiful scenery and soft music that was emanating from afar. It was absolutely breathtaking.
• If there was anything Minho knew how to do, it was how to wine and dine you. He made sure to start the evening with ordering a full bottle of your favorite reserve red wine. He loved the way you looked and smiled at him after a glass or two- how lovey dovey you got for him and how you began to try and charm him, getting all giggly, before the night was over with.
• He encouraged you to get whatever you wanted off the menu- even if it was the most expensive thing by far, he wanted you to have it. He was never going to let you pay anyways.
• Once you decided what you wanted, he always wanted you to tell him so that he could order for you. It wasn’t that he thought you were incapable of ordering for yourself, but he wanted you to know that you would always be taken care of when he was there. He didn’t want you to have to take your attention off of him for one second.
• Your heart always swelled as you watched him order- for some odd reason. And he never ordered just what the two of you wanted. No way. He made sure to always order at least 3 or so dishes so that you could share with each other and sample everything. He would make sure to have something on the table that his baby loved.
• Even if you were absolutely stuffed, if he noticed there was still wine in your glass, he would always order a dessert for the two of you to share. And although he wouldn’t admit it, this was also a way to extend his time out with you.
• He’d make sure to do all the gross romantic stuff with you, like feeding you a bite of the crème brulèe straight from his spoon. He definitely didn’t want to overdo it though and would NOT do it unless you two were in private.
• At the end of the evening, after your head felt light and bubbly from the wine and your stomach was full, he made sure to tip the waiter very generously. You loved that about him. That’s why the restaurant owners and workers always loved to see the two of you back.
• Taking the last sip of your whine, you leaned in with a smile, half-whispering “thank you for dinner, jagi.”
• “Thank you for being here with me, love,” he said back. Slowly, he stood from his chair, so naturally you waited in yours as he always requested, so that he could again pull your chair out before you stood.
• He made his way over as usual, standing behind you, but this time he didn’t put his hands on the chair.
• Instead, he placed one hand on the nape of your neck, bending down to plant a soft kiss to your shoulder and then to the side of you neck.
• You let out a giggle as you started to blush. “Stop itttt, you know we can’t do that here.”
• “I know, but I had to at least get a little bit out,” he smiled smugly.
• Suddenly, you saw his hands both in front of you and a cold sensation on your chest. You looked down to see a beautiful silver pendant resting just between your collar bones.
• “What’s this?” you asked, as you felt his hands secure the latch at the back of your neck.
• He walked to your side so that he could see your face and bent down, resting one knee on the ground.
• “Why don’t you look at it and tell me?”
• You picked the small-ish pendant up to examine it. On the front, in dainty cursive font read “LMH”. Lee Min Ho.
• The back had a single, small diamond implanted in it. Around it’s edges, it had a Latin phrase inscription. You read it aloud. “Aut viam inveniam aut faciam?” You tried to make the words out, looking to your boyfriend for confirmation.
• “That’s right jagi. ‘I will either find a way or make one’. For you.” He smiled up at you, as your looked at him with eyes of endearment. The love you had for this man was unbearable. You could hardly stand the emotions that he made you feel.
• He gently reached out for your hand, planting a gentle kiss to it, before standing up and motioning for you to do the same.
• Once you were upright on your feet, he leaned in next to your ear. “It looks beautiful on you, by the way,” he whispered seductively.
• You smirked, the boldness of the wine starting to manifest out of you. “I’ll keep it on for you later. Everything else is coming off,” you winked.
• His eyes grew large for a split second before turning himself so that he body was right up against yours. He swiftly let his hands wonder to your waist, then hips, then grab lightly at your ass.
• “That sounds perfect,” he planted a small, sweet kiss to your lips. “But that necklace is never coming off of you. Promise me. Promise me you’ll wear it at all times, and I’ll always be with you.” He looked at you, his face full of sincerity and genuine lust.
• “Anything for you,” you gave in to him before leaning in for another slow kiss.
• You knew that’s exactly what he wanted. For you to give yourself fully to him. You’d play around with him later, but for now, you would give yourself up. He knew you were his.
———————————————————————————————————
✨ author’s note: lowkey thinking this man put a tracker in the necklace lol. he just wants to know you’re safe and also wants to be able to know where you are at all times. but it’s up to you what you want to think 🤷♀️

What do u think Kiran is
How do u think the order sees kiran
*slowly sits up in my chair*
I think Kiran is a very normal person. This is someone you and I have met before. Be that from the other side of grocery store cashier, waiting in the same elevator, or walking by on a crosswalk. Kiran is a civilian from our world trying to roll with the punches of being warped somewhere completely alien. And you can see it in how they conduct themselves.
I always have a lot of fun writing Kiran’s dialogue because their casual modern speech almost feels like a dialect in comparison to the more formal fantasy tone everyone else speaks with. An “ain’t” will never exit Alfonse’s mouth, you know? And there’s a difference in “Do you have gold?” vs “You got gold?” To me, this gives Kiran an air of unfamiliarity to anyone they interact with. Let’s use Grima as an example, because it doesn’t sound like this grammatical change would make much of difference until Kiran has the audacity to hit Grima with a bro mid sentence. But that’s just how they talk. And as sweet and friendly as they are, there’s always moments like that to remind that no one has the cultural context to fully understand Kiran. Except for the audience, who can realize that Kiran let the customer service voice drop to talk to Grima like he’s an actual person.
And that’s just about how they talk! This view is only emphasized by every other thing about them! They’re a lovable goof, which is normal chill person behavior in the audience’s eyes but feels REALLY ODD to the characters of FE’s medieval fantasy war setting. There is this air of unknown about them that the more socially perceptive will pick up on and will try to come to a conclusion about. Example, I imagine Soren would interpret a lot of this as a dangerous and deeply annoying lack of intelligence from someone he has the displeasure of sharing a tactics table with. Or looping back to the Grima example, he would totally think Kiran has greedy ulterior motives behind that pleasant facade. It takes a lot of work for those types to realize that the discrepancy present isn’t really any of those things. But I also wouldn’t be too surprised if Kiran doesn’t try to directly prove any of those assumptions wrong unless they have to.
Why? Well now it’s time for the implications! Oh how we love the implications.
Because the Summoner is a different story. No one has any fucking clue what that is.
I can tell you what Kiran has pieced together so far. Summoning people from across time and space is apparently not easy. It’s not some school of magical study that some mage could pull off with enough time and research. Trust, Eitri tried. It’s a lot of complex moving parts. For example, the contracts. The contracts Kiran automatically binds their summoned to don’t even compare to the ones Veronica used in book 1. They are far more intense and infinitely harder to break. The only way out of them is if Kiran wills it so. Not even death is an option, because Kiran can come in for the revive. If they had to guess, it’s an older, more completed version of the art. Something lost to time. But no matter the case, Kiran has the ability to take full control of whoever they manage to summon. From a lowly farmer to the divine. And their power only grows.
In a similar vein, if there was any character to canonically see the hud, I think it would be Kiran. It’s genuinely part of their power set. I have previously described Kiran as the party mage until Veronica shows up to be the actual mage, but it would be way more accurate to call them a mystic/seer. They see the map, everyone’s stats, and is doing a fast amount of math to give the combat forecast. Then, upon processing all this information their enemies couldn’t dream of having at their disposal, Kiran can telepathically communicate any change in plans to anyone under contract. Kiran is not inherently some great tactician the moment they touch ground in Askr; they simply can do things no one else can. They’re learning the actual tactics part on the fly. This makes them simultaneously the largest ace up the Order’s sleeve and potentially its biggest liability. If they fall, it could cause a whole system cascade. By that same token, some of the biggest threats the Order has faced are the ones who do their research and rightfully target Kiran.
Now. Thinking critically about all that. That’s downright terrifying. A ridiculous amount of power has been dropped callously into Kiran’s lap and they have to work extremely hard to be moral with it. It’s terrifyingly easy not to be. It would actively take less effort to ‘take the reins’ as it were. But in order to be able to sleep at night ever again, they go the extra mile to not invalidate the will of their summoned. To take over like that. To make a colony of worker bees out of people. Because oh dear god they just summoned a child and the fact that they could easily force them to fight and die for them, only to be revived and do it all over again, is HAUNTING. No. No the Order has an in house orphanage now. This kid is getting adopted and cared for god damnit or Kiran might just pop a blood vessel. And sure that child is going to be a child and there will never be a world where they get along with everyone else, but that’s just going to need be a problem they address when they get there and not an excuse to use Hubris; the power set. Now replace the word child with everyone they ever summoned and you have the wider philosophy they apply to the entire Order.
They’re hyper aware of the power imbalance. They hate it with every bone in their body. They work really hard to correct it in whatever way they can.
So Kiran might not jump on the opportunity to correct those who think lesser of them. It’s… oddly comforting to know someone is keeping a critical eye on them. Holding them accountable. Especially since so much of the order just thinks of them as this quirky yet well meaning host. And, really, what can they even do about that? They have gone over the contract with every hero they summon and despite that they still choose to stay. So, what, do they try to inspire more mistrust? The problem with that they would have to actually do acts that intentionally inspire mistrust. And even if that was successful they can’t just waste the extra man power because every other month there’s some new divine asshole who wants them all dead. And if they fail that means they have to start their life from square one and god they can’t do that again so—
Just breathe Kiran.
It’s fine. You’re fine. Just breathe.
You have work to do.
#Yay!!! Kiran Fire Emblem!!!!#In case it wasn’t clear from about the second to last paragraph onwards is Kiran’s internal monologue/thoughts on the situation#I started having ~fun~ because those two questions started to dig at what I find compelling about Kiran#but I can’t quite begin to convey without just showing you what’s going on in their head#In my actual opinion Kiran is that they’re still the ray of sunshine we see in the day of a life comics#But they are driven by the same loneliness that haunts every other main character#This combo makes their misery harder to notice#As for what the summoner is it could be really thematically resonant if Zenith’s pantheon made the thing that’s killing them#It certainly has something to do with Askr and Embla. the summoner’s powers are employing both of their domains#Unfortunately Loki is probably the only one alive to tell the tale and she has her own motives in this (Ted Talk for another day)#You can probably see why I think they should be thematic parallels to each other tho#Anyway to answer Kiran’s question ITS BECAUSE THEY SEE YOU TRYING YOU DUMBASS. THAT COUNTS FOR MORE THAN YOU THINK.#So yeah. i really love witch hat atelier’s deconstruction of art and what it means to be an artist. because i’m sure every artist i know has gotten the same comments of “oh i could never draw that” or how art “looks like magic” from non-artists. and most artists i know will express how despite understanding non-artists don’t mean any ill will, those comments can undermine the sheer amount of time, effort, and labor that they’ve put into their craft. a lot of non-artists think it’s something you have to be born with, some sort of talent that you have to be predisposed to, or else there’s no way to enter the world.
but every artist will tell you how it’s not. how it may come across as effortless to someone who’s done art for decades, but what you don’t see is the years of practice and training and learning that was put into it. that by summing it up as this unobtainable magic, it can feel as if someone is erasing all your work and effort by writing it off as a talent you were born with, not a skill you honed and labored over. it inadvertently keeps a lot of people from pursuing art because they’ve convinced themselves it has to be something they’re born with, not something that’s learned
and you see that with coco, how she’s held magic up onto this pedestal of effortless beauty—which i don’t think she’ll ever truly stop doing, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing—and how she’s made to face the reality that even for those “born” into it, it’s not something that comes easy. even the other witches struggle with their magic, with drawing sigils, with translating their ideas into paper. they’re not any different than she is, having to train and study and practice as much as she herself does. magic is, theoretically, only unattainable if you think it so. if you don’t think you can do magic simply because you weren’t “born” with the “talent”, then you never will. if you don’t think you can draw or do any other type of art simply because you weren’t “born” with the “talent”, then you never will. it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy. and wha does a really good job in breaking down those walls and enforcing how anyone, no matter their origin or education or starting ability, can be an artist as long as they believe in themselves and their work
#icarus speaks#like. it’s a really well-executed deconstruction of it all#i want to say so much more but it is So late

this is a bit out of nowhere but id like to share my opinion on the dhmis pilot because i feel like there’s something important to say here.
Becky and Joe don’t want it to be found. They’ve made it clear multiple times that they HATE it and tried to scrub its existence. I need you all to understand that digging it up could not only get you in legal trouble with the company that funded it— but could also completely disrespect the boundaries of the artists! I never see anyone discussing that point and I feel it needs to be said.
Yes, it was shown at a festival ONCE! the creators consented to people watching it that ONE time. But keep in mind you were not one of those people. Does it suck to be left out of the club? sure! but the creators hate the fact that anyone saw it in the first place!
I understand there’s curiosity, and I especially understand wanting to know how it ends considering we’ve already seen some of it— but maybe there’s a reason people have to speed and edit the video until it’s unrecognizable! maybe theres a reason you have to sneak into secret discords to find recordings! maybe it’s because the creators don’t want anyone else to see it!
I love to pirate shit, I love digging up lost media, I love referencing the pilot in my art— but I feel this is disrespectful at times. If becky and joe dont give us the pilot themselves— which I’ve also wished for I can’t lie!— then I don’t believe we should look for it.
If there is a full recording, in my opinion I don’t think it’s respectful to look for it. Too many of us have ignored becky and joes boundaries on this and I feel like some of you are looking just because you can.
I need you to realize: these are real people and this is their art. If they don’t want to show it to you— it’s not owed to you!
I’m not saying this out of malice or anger, I’m saying it for everyone including myself. We get so lost in the media we love that we forget it’s made by real people who have every right to hide it from us. Becky and joe often let us get away with everything and i feel it’s our responsibility to NOT take advantage of the kindness they treat us with.
Please leave wakey wakey in the dark for now. It’s where they put it and it’s not ours to touch. There’s no point in feeling guilt or ignoring what we’ve already seen— but i disagree on finding more.
#please dont eat me alive im just tired of this being ignored#dhmis#dhmis fandom#dont hug me im scared#dhmis wakey wakey#dhmis pilot#dhmis tv series#dhmis tv show#dhmis web series

a little bit of tridentariicest for @dmsr-art 🥰
“I can still eat you, like this, look—as many times as you want, baby.”
“Ianthe, not funny,” Corona wails, piteously, but she doesn’t even try to stop you as your bloodstained hands tug at her white trousers with the golden trim—you leave the royal purple jacket, for now. “You have his eyes, and you could have had mine!”
“Who cares about Babs,” you soothe, taking in the buttery-golden curls that appear as you pull her trousers and underwear off one leg over her boot, leaving it hanging as you settle between her thick, gorgeous thighs. “Don’t mention him, dear—you need to stay with me, and not as a myriad-long battery.”
You reach out with your fingers, which feel like they are buzzing with the energy of a thousand thanergic stars, and you touch her, sliding your fingers gently down her slit. She spreads her legs wider for you, obliging and sweet even as she cries. She’s wet.
Of course she’s wet, she’s her and you’re you. Even in her upset, there was really no other outcome.
“Sister,” she cries, and again your heart half-breaks because if only she was capable of understanding. You usually understand each other, when she is capable of it, but her brain is not on the same level as yours. This would be easier if it were. “I can’t believe you. We could have been—forever—”
“Shhhh,” you hush. “I need you, darling Corona. Don’t mention it again.”
And you dive in as she gives a pathetic “Is that even true?” that gets cut through with a moan, because she really cannot help it.
You know every inch of her juicy pussy, each out-of-the-way sensitive spot, and the motions she likes a partner to take with their tongue. You knew it first before anyone else, and you still know it best. No one can ever take that away from you—you will always know your older twin sister better than anyone else, love her more than anyone else, do what it takes to keep her more than anyone else.
As you lap at with her with your tongue, making circles around that flushed, pretty clit and pressing your nose into her pubic hair, you take two fingers soaked in his blood and press them inside her. She hiccups loudly, and her hand comes to grip at your limp pale strands of hair, which is more than encouraging. It’s working.
You crook your fingers and worry them along the front wall of her channel, and you take her clit to task with the point of your tongue. You consider, for a moment, adjusting the shape of that fleshy protrusion of your mouth moment by moment to show her how focused you are on her pleasure and how skillful a genius you are. It used to be a little hard, doing that—it wouldn’t be hard for you now, the marvel you are.
“Ianthe! Oh, I need you!” she shrieks, her hand gripping in your hair so hard that you can feel some of the follicles letting go—and immediately repairing themselves.
She comes too fast in the end, to make changing the shape of your tongue worth it—a slut for your mouth or your fingers or whatever else you use on her, that’s what she is. You know the moment she falls apart because you can thanergically sense her heartbeat stutter and then race, the cry of her every muscle. It makes you throb deep in your core, hotter than you’ve ever felt in your life.
Her purple-clothed chest starts heaving as she squeezes down on your fingers and trembles on your tongue, and you’re confident for a second that you’ve successfully distracted her from whatever silly romantic fantasies she’s concocted that mask the grim reality and terrible awesomeness of the Lyctoral process. Perhaps she understands now, in that dim, pretty head of hers, that if you were to take her then you wouldn’t have her anymore.
But then an even more hysterical sob breaks on her lips, not quite the sexy kind, and you know that she may never understand it.
You sigh.
#coffeetomb#tridentariicest#ianthe tridentarius#coronabeth tridentarius#thank you so much for prompting me 🥰 this one was so fun for me to use :3#please also let me know if you'd like me to gift it to you on ao3 when i eventually archive it <3 either way is fine with me!

I fucking hate antis. I used to be one, and I am still SURROUNDED by all this “liking fictional CSA means you’re icky and one of the bad victims and YOU WILL DO IT IRL!!!!” Bullshit.
People I admire and look up to end up saying it. My “friends” end up saying it. It’s everywhere. I often feel like I can’t trust anyone, not even my close friends who have already told me they don’t care what I’m into.
it’s terrifying. ive seen what antis have done to us, I’ve seen how easy it is for people like me to be exposed. I’ve seen how people will see you as nothing but the filth that soils everybody’s shoes; or the sick, drooling predators just waiting to strike. I’ve seen how people are isolated, abandoned, and even driven to kill themselves because Society just doesn’t fucking like freaks. And everybody on this app says that “most people are proship!!! It’s the normal opinion!! We’re the normal ones!!! ”
I CAN NEVER BELIEVE IT. where the fuck do you live??? People abhor my gayness. People abhor my true gender identity. People abhor the way I carry myself as an autistic person. PEOPLE HATE, SO FUCKING MUCH, and they hate what they think is weird. People don’t even get that Lolita isn’t endorsing what the main character does. if it’s so normal, then why is it so much MORE normal for people to react to the concept of lolicon with “oh, they must be nasty hairy pedophiles living in their mothers basements with tons of CP. it should be illegal!”? if it’s so normal, why is it more normal for self-righteous video essay YouTubers to treat “booktok girlies” like crass, pitiful zoo animals for liking taboo shit in their spice novels? Why do they always come to the conclusion that they’re all stupid old cunts who could never tell the difference between fictional abuse and real abuse?
if it’s so normal, then why is it more normal for people to make this fake binary of “proper, real sexual violence fiction” and “filthy, romanticizing sexual violence fiction?”
People in general Might understand you if you just say you make art about dark subjects. They might be “normal” about that.
But I know full and well that it would be a different story if I bring up fictional incest or CSA. It would be an especially different story if I mentioned that its not to cope with trauma, just to get off on.
…I probably have trust issues, and I have antis to thank for that. It’s getting so common in the media. I’m so sick of people telling me it’s commonly accepted. It is NOT. What I write is gross, triggering to most and seen as immoral to SO many people. Even people I love.
I make new friends, but I don’t let them get close. I’m always terrified/constantly thinking about them discovering that I’m a freak and leaving me— or worse, outing me to others. it’s actually why I’m too scared to start posting like I used to on tumblr. I know what I am. I don’t try to delude myself into thinking I’m “normal.” I am not, and maybe that’s okay.
I hate antis for what they’ve shaped me into. How their rhetoric that I clung to in fear for so long had shaped me into an uncaring, virtue-signaling asshole. I hate them for how I crumbled when I discovered I had become the very thing that my friends and role models swear to destroy. I hate their logic for getting into almost every fucking crevice of the internet and even my peers’ beliefs. This stuff ruined my mental state.

ok so ive never properly played genshin and don’t plan to but i know a bit about it’s lore and characters and i think it’s really neat. however i have thousands of hours on ffxiv. on that note please explain why graha and childe are similar. i only have very basic knowledge on childe and i gotta know
Fellow ffxiv enjoyer. <3
(anyone asking me about G'raha has a 100% chance of getting a wall of text and I'm not apologising for that. enjoy your wall of text)
I'm not entirely sure I'm not a case of a person with a hammer to whom everything resembles a nail, but I do think they are the same archetype.
Sweet characters who could have been perfect sidekicks (who still are perfect sidekicks) but listened to too many epic tales as kids and found themselves in a wrong place at a wrong time and now have to play a key role in some universe-changing story.
Both are defined mostly by their stubborness, they are not very suitable for the roles they've chosen and fail over and over again until they do it somewhat right (barely).
No matter how badass they look, their power is not their own, G'raha is a glorified technician of someone else's miracle and little else than a living key, Childe wields an art of old Khaenri'ah without fully understanding it. It's all borrowed from someone else who needed them to achieve a goal.
They do look badass, but mostly because they larp. I'm honestly not sure which one enjoys theatrics more.
Civilisations that created the magic they use specialised in perversion of the natural order of things. They try to use it in relatively noble ways and mostly hurt themselves but the flavour is there.
Both are unbelievably tragic and both somehow make their stories seem almost lighthearted. Complete absense of self-pity. I think that's what makes them both so charming, it's a rare trait.
Both have an incredible capacity for loyalty and love and an incredibly twisted view of what relationships look like. "I'll cross time and space for you, I'll die for you, I'll build a city for you, I'll live for you but please don't ask me to share my plans." "I'll sacrfice my own health and respect of my subordinates to keep my brother's happyness, probably my humanity too, but don't expect me to actually interact with him."
Both have something that looks like self-sacrificial tendencies bordering on suicidality while being, if we are honest, a self-serving trait (partially born out of low self-esteem but still self-serving). They want to live in an old myth and sacrificing oneself is a perfectly reasonable price for that.
Huge egos. And I mean Huge Egos. It's a bit less obvious in Graha's case but I know the type, you see guys like that in PhD programs a lot.
Huge dorks. Both of them.
Both are stuck somewhere between human and non-human and, hmm... their ability to remain human is the most astonishing quality of both. By all accounts, neither should have. They somehow did.
Both are incapable of lying to the point where a third of each fandom headcanons them as autistic. Both are somewhat all right with tricking people without technically lying (although Childe had more practice).
Both are secretive because no one would understand anyway.
FF XIV is a kinder story, so it's easy to overlook, but technically G'raha is a case of body horror, accepts the role of a villain for a while and hides from the player way too much. Hmmm... Where else have I seen it. Hmm. Oh right. That ginger guy from Genshin.
Minor things:
Both are little shits and enjoy annoying the hell out of people they dislike.
Abysmally bad fashion sense. There should be a name for this particular type and level of bad. I don't think I've seen this anywhere else.
And then there's the colour scheme. Red+black+white+blue and red+black+light grey+blue (it's an "anime magician" color profile, I think. black-red-white as alchemy colours + blue as pure magic/something elemental). Childe doesn't quite fit but still the combination is rare.
They way they talk. Dear gods. Who the hell talks like that.
Here's where the similarities end.
One is morally grey but ultimately a good guy (technically. I think the point of ShB was that Emet and G'raha are almost the same), another is a morally grey but still (kind of) a bad buy.
At every step of his story Graha is surrounded by people who love or at least appreciate him, Childe is pretty much on his own and surrounded by people who are either shitty or clueless.
G'raha is kind. Truly and astonishingly kind, in a doomed world he chooses to love everything he touches. Silly little priest of hope. Of all the things he has done this is the most wondrous, I think. Not the time travel, not the city he founded, just being able to remain kind after everything that happened to him.
Childe is... well, Childe. I think he is a deeply decent person (to the point of having a visceral distaste for any kind of unfairness) and he's idealistic but he's indifferent more than he is kind. Empathy usually develops only when someone has shown the person empathy first and, as far as we know, he didn't have much of that in his life.
Also G'raha builds things. Childe breaks things. Childe breaks pretty much everything he touches.
One is an archeologist and a mage and another is a warrior.
I think these differences are caused mostly by the settings they were put into. Childe raised in Sharlayan would have been a very different person. G'raha trained by a voidsent and shipped off to Garlean military would look very much like Childe.
G'raha also has a beautiful character development arc. I love his ShB role. He has this huge ego in the raids and is insufferable and then we see an older and wiser him with a bunch of actual achievements and a bad case of impostor syndrome (trying to do anything real always humbles a person, we all know that real world is held together by sticks and scotch tape. honestly, this change alone is beautiful). And he gets to be an actual hero when he abandons all hope to be Important and resigns to die as a nameless villain if it saves everyone and spares his loved ones from heartbreak.
Childe's character development is yet to happen and I'm not hoping for much but we'll see.
The only difference that definitely isn't created by setting is that G'raha is naturally manipulative. In a kind-hearted way and mostly for the sake of better larp but he isn't that straightforward. Childe is spectacularly blunt for all his mysteriousness.
As a bonus, they both compare main characters to stars, but in completely different ways.
"No doubt your heroism will be the star by which I chart my course," says G'raha to the WoL.
Childe mentions the morning star, which is, of course, pretty and a good companion to a lonely traveler, but also it's not a celestial body you can chart your course by.
It's a guy whose signature weapon is called "Polar Star" and his first artifact set was full of nautical themes, so I think he fully understands what he's saying. "You are my friend but I won't change anything in my life for you."
So I don't think his story will be anything like G'raha's, his life took a different turn very long ago. I do think they used to be similar as kids, bookish boys who dreamed of adventure and being special. So it's fun to compare.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk. <3
#honestly I think it's mostly involvement in deep lore and the lack of self-pity#everything else just snowballs from it#I refuse to be contained#the world must know everything about g'raha#he's the only character who has a personal tag in my old livejournal blog#even childe doesn't#even dragon age morrigan#g'raha tia#eternal wind#ff xiv#childe#tartaglia#rinn talks to people#one would think that the closest ffxiv parallel to childe would be zenos#another blood knight#and in a sense he is#but also not really#zenos raised in sharlayan would still be zenos#but also maybe I'm overthinking and reading into childe's character too much#I hope not#I want a good story for him

Have you heard of the musical Ride the Cyclone? I thought of an MC who’s inspired by Jane Doe. They died and lost their head somewhere so they got isekai’d into twisted wonderland with a doll head to replace their lost one instead and they walk around with their headless doll. They have no memory of who they used to be and they’re very naive about how things work in the new world they’re transported to. If anyone of the boys goes Yandere for Jane Doe!Mc, any one of the would take advantage of their amnesia and keep them to theirselves. Which one of the boys do you think would be the most manipulative when it comes to stealing Jane Doe!Mc?
If you don’t know the musical, feel free to skip.
i havent seen the musical, but i love the idea of just some twst yandere taking advantage of amnesia mc. like they would use mc to make them their perfect little play thing or "help" them find themselves, only to hurt them with betrayal. also i know that a good handfull of the twst characters are sadistic but im gonna just list a few (cause if i went their all of them, qwq, this will be a very long post xD)
Also there’s only one drawing in this post (because it felt weird not not include one so ye) but it’s mainly fanfic and I’ll be labeled it as fanfic and not as fanfic plus art… if that’s cool owo
~Amnesia!Mc~
Yan!Ace x mc x Yan!Deuce
Yan!Lilia x mc
Yan!Rook x mc
Yan!Trey x mc
Warning: yandere, manipulation, stalking, threats, hint of murder, mention of war and starvation, hunting, displaying you like a animal(?), kidnapping,
~~~~~
Ace and Deuce
Why are these two together? cause they are chaotic together and i love how it can be wholesome at times.
In the relationship, they both agreed to help mc and also show them the ropes of twisted wonderland. Deuce, more on the side of helping mc with finding themself, because he understands how it can be very difficult at times. But he also doesn't want mc to go home so soon. Ace, more on the side of wanting mc to stay in twisted wonderland, but also help them find themself with him and deuce in mind. They basically agreed to be the opposite sides to the same coin.
They'll, of course, fight with each other on how to help you. what thing are most important for you to work on right now? but they overall want the same thing. but they are still very mischievous when they want to be.
Example, Ace will in intentional start fights with deuce to show mc that they'll be so lost without you to step in to help. or even, when they get into a situation that they need your help to solve.
"only their perfect can save them. don't leave them alone. they'd be lost without you."
But deuce, he would show you the amazing things that twisted wonderland could offer and see if you like anything or dislike it. i imagine he has a book with all your like and dislikes, your taste, favorite food and drinks, how you like certain things or your hobbies. plus if you forget anything, he'll be there to help.
if someone outside their group ask about their strange behavior with you, they will deny it all. but if this person keeps digging, ace and deuce will show them how protective they can be.
if you asked about their strange behavior, they'll just tell you that you're imagining things.
"maybe its some of your old memories coming back? but they don't make sense? strange..."
~~~~~
Lilia
"Awww what a cute little human that lost their way~ it reminds me of when i met Silver~ so cute~"
this man will 100% use your amnesia to make you into his play thing. he could mold you into a sibling for Silver. he could mold you into a great warrior for malleus, side by side with sebek. or he can even mold you to be his and his alone.
with his years of experience of life, he'll show you anything you wish to see and make your dreams come true. he'll tell you stories, a mix between fairy tales to myths to his very own experiences. he'll show you everything and anything, for the price of your name~
he's given you no reason on not to trust him. Lilia takes great care of you when you first came to his world. i mean with tweedldee and tweedledumber, plus that beast cat, you'll likely be dead by the first week.
Lilia takes every opportunity to take you away to diasomnia and cares for you. with a high secured castle plus luxury food, he tried to feed you his meet one time and you fell into a coma for a week... maybe the vegs were bad?
if you had an issue with this arrangement, he'll gladly show you the dangerous of this world without his aid. he'll show you a small unimportant war that was just west coast of the main land. all the deaths and threats, the horrors in peoples faces. how some people became mad and turn against their own kind for a glimpse of hope in their future, only for it to be ripe away when they get caught. Lilia will also show you the horror that are not necessarily violent like war. hungry starving kids and families that had to turn to stealing just to make sure they're guaranteed a place in tomorrow. he'll tell you that the cycle repeats whether people like it or not.
"That's why its safer to be with me. the world is a cruel place, a place that a sweet angel like you doesnt belong. this place also has a good handful of cueal people aswell. youre not even garentee that crowel will find a way home for you, he doesnt even know that place! thats why its safer with me. ill keep you safe. now rest... youve had a very long day..."
~~~~~
Rook
the beauty of it all! To Rook, you are like a blank piece of paper waiting for a poet to spill their silk words on you. you're like a caterpillar waiting for some leaves to turn into a chrysalis and then to your turn form as a beautiful butterfly~
Rook doesn't have any ill intent for you but he merely aims to preserve your pure innocents. in his words, keep your angelic wings white from the impurities of the world. he will not hesitate to strike down anything or any one that wants you to fall, or cover your wings in their mud.
he admits, its difficult to learn anything about you when you don't even remember who you are, but in a way its beautiful for him. like a bird learning how to fly.
if you ask him about his view on beauty, he'll gladly show you all the beauties in the world. hell show you how some things look scary or mysterious can look enchanted. but if anything ugly comes in your way, he'll shield you from it and make it disappear on the face of twisted wonderland.
if you dont like what hes doing and you try to run from him.. lets say Rook loves a good hunt. He will not stop until he finds his butterfly. of course, he doesn't want to hurt you, or even dirty you in any means, but he will threaten you. Rook would say that if anything bad would happen to you, to not have the light in your eyes that he loves so much, he'll display you like those beautiful insect display in a museum. you'll forever be part of his display from his hunts.
but you dont want that to happen right? he wants you to live! to fly with the other butterflies.
but maybe Night Raven College is no place for a fragile butterfly like you to be in. he doesnt might taking you away for only his eyes to see. he'll take great care of you.
"what do you say~?"
~~~~~
Trey
Whether Trey likes it or not, he takes great care of his dorm, like a big brother or even a dad for some. so when he saw you, his instict took over and he immediately was worried for you.
"did you eat yet? how's your day? anyone giving you a hard time? are ace and deuce causing trouble for you? you look pale! come on, follow me. we have some treats in Heartslabyul that will make you feel better"
to say he spoils you with sweets is an understatement, and if you are craving sweets then he'll gladly make you something else. don't worry about repaying him. you're smile and well being are perfect payment.
even though Trey has a very busy schedule, being the vice housewarden, being part of the science club, taken care of his house, plus riddle, he still makes time for you.
a lot of people wonders how but like magic, he makes it works. for some, its a little creepy. Trey starts to show up, like he knows your schedule like the back of his hand. always with treats and a drink in hand.
if there are people causing you trouble, or in trey's eyes, people he does not approves of. he'll tell you in a "im just looking out for you manner."
Trey will get you, sit you down, hands you some treats and talks to you about his "issues" with your friends. he might just say some things that make you see your friends in a different light. the type of light that makes you not rely on them too much. But you can rely on Trey if anything comes up.
also whether he sees you in the light of a sibling or a partner, you're not 100% sure which one. but all the things he does for you... is coming from the heart..

Howdy everyone. Been a while since I posted anything, hasn’t it? Well, now I finally have the time to sit down, and talk about my feelings and what’s been happening. So, again this is venting, if you don’t want to hear it, you may disregard this post. But if you want to read, everything is in the “keep reading” tab. Thank you.
First of all, I’d like to say that it’s been difficult drawing digitally. My art device keeps acting up, and I’m fed up with it. So for the moment, you will most likely see me draw traditionally. A shame too because my traditional doodles don’t get as much love as my digital pieces, but it is what it is. So if I owe anyone any art pieces, chances are they’ll be done traditionally.
Second of all, which is relevant to the first point, it’s been getting hot where I live. 30+ degrees all week, making it hard to draw. I just apologize for taking so long in terms of art in general.
Third of all, my “parents” keep shaming me for who I am. Whether it’s as an artist, or for my body. But they adore to mentally bring me down, sometimes accusing me of having a mental illness or depression.
This household of mine is indeed a curse, you’re damn right Hol Horse. It’s simply infuriating that nobody understands my feelings around the house, everytime I express a single thing about myself, it goes to rot and put themselves first. And they say they worry for me for being away from home…please, it’s for my own good. My mental state has been declining a lot since then. The heat fries my brain, and my household is making me feel insignificant about myself. It’s bad enough that my self-esteem isn’t the greatest due to my past.
Fourth point, I’ll be honest. Making friends with a lot of people at this point feels pointless because 70-80% of the friends I make abandon me without saying a word, or neglect. Not a pleasant feeling. Hurts me a lot. There’s been many friends I’ve made that did just that, and even if I try to reach out to them every now and then, no luck. So I’ve kinda…stopped trying. People can be busy, or have more going on in life than expected and that’s understandable. But if you don’t say anything, I’ll never know a single thing.
What does it mean? It means that things have been very slow on my behalf. Too much stress on my mind, and I hardly have any time for myself anymore. It’s saddening, but I’ll still keep drawing, even if it’s severally slow. Just wanted to inform to those who’re reading this post that I’m still around, just exhausted from life.
I’d like to mention a couple people in this post: @spamtonjuice420 , @stardust-vi , and @fellow-traveller
Why, you ask? Simple. You guys have been amazing people in my life in many ways. Very talented artists, very kind individuals, and chill to talk to. We all know Hol Horse, so that’s a massive plus…I love how I’ve converted some people into liking Hol Horse too hah. But I just wished I could speak to some of you more often. But I can’t control what happens in one’s life, and I’ll simply have to be patient until I get an answer. But…even to all of my followers, it means a lot to me that you guys stick around too for my content. Even if it’s not that great. Thank you so much.
I’ll try to post commissions too. Even if they’re traditional, the prices will probably have to be juggled, but I’ll do something. Chances are, they will be rather cheap for a while. Just something to think about.
Thank you guys for sticking around, and have a good one. I’ll be trying my best to post something soon.

talk about fierceteeth's worthiness for queen; praise the catholic little bugger
Have some fierceteeth art made for the occasion
Oh boy, you asked for this!
First off, I’d like to start with why I don’t think Glory should continue to be the nightwing queen.
In the wof universe, the tribe a dragon belongs to seems to be a core part of every dragons identity. We constantly see dragons boasting about their tribes. The series likes to act like it’s just nightwings who are stuck up, and while the nightwings took it further, really every tribe thinks they’re superior. We can see it countless times in both written dialogue and unspoken thoughts.
Culture and heritage is something very important to most every dragon. So going off that context, it’s not fair for the nightwings to be stripped of that. That’s not to say that the arrangement they have with Glory is bad. They quite literally had no other option. The nightwing tribe certainly needs rehabilitation, and to pair them with a tribe like the rainwings is exactly what they need. It benefits both tribes, with the nightwings teaching them to be tougher(so I like to imagine) and the rainwings teaching them to be better dragons in general. But the series is acting as though the nightwings are gonna be ruled by the rainwings forever, which just isn’t fair to them. After they get themselves sorted out, the nightwings deserve their freedom.
So, onto why I think Fierceteeth is the best candidate.
First and foremost, her fierce, selfless loyalty. Besides how much of a jerk she is, her most prominent character trait has always been her loyalty to those she loves. Fierceteeth would do any and everything to protect what she holds dear. Now recognition and fame is definitely her MAIN motivation for wanting to be queen, no doubt about that. But it’s not her ONLY motivation. She states herself, her reasoning for what she did; “Everything I did, all my so-called “crimes,” were for the good of my fellow nightwings. I was trying to find us an ally who would restore our power. I was trying to save us from being controlled by another tribe. I was trying to make sure we had a real home of our own!”
Fierceteeth feels as though the nightwings are held captive by the rainwings, and that because of this they won’t be able to be restored to the great powerful tribe they once were. And considering the way nightwings were raised on the island, this reasoning is understandable. There’s also an interesting point that’s brought up by the nightwings a couple times. Again, as stated by fierceteeth, “They deserve a queen who cares about them and understands what they’ve suffered.” A sentiment shared by seemingly many nightwings at first was that Glory didn’t and would never care for their tribe. And yeah, she hated them at first. I think it goes without saying that you don’t want a ruler who hates you. The nightwings also seem to be bonded by the terrible experience they all shared living on the volcano. Imagine your country has been an uninhabitable hellscape for longer than anyone around you can remember, every person in a leadership position is wiped out, and then some random US politician or something with no knowledge of your culture or what you’ve been through swoops in to take advantage of the situation and claim ownership of you. That’s what it was like for the nightwings at first. They didn’t see themselves as refugees, they saw themselves as prisoners. It’s reasonable that they would want a ruler who understands everything they went through, so that they would be properly represented. The nightwings need a queen who will fight tooth and nail for them, just like fierceteeth would. We already know she cares greatly for her tribe.
She’s not selfish, either. We can see this when she and strongwings were caught sneaking out. Strongwings offered to take full responsibility for the incident. Fierceteeth could have easily gotten away scot-free and nothing would have changed, strongwings would still have loved her. But she insisted she be punished along with strongwings to prove a point about her devotion. When it comes to the people she loves, Fierceteeth genuinely wants what’s best for the nightwings, not herself. She’s an odd blend of selfish and selfless, in that she’s a brat about empathy and all that, but she simultaneously always puts herself at risk to defend her loved ones. She would be the type of queen who puts her tribe before herself.
So what of her leadership qualities? Based on the new info in the guide, I think we can actually conclude that she is a very good leader. Fierceteeth says she’s “pretty much the boss” of the new nightwing settlement. Granted, this is likely just how Fierceteeth sees herself and not wholly accurate. But based on the fact that she seems heavily involved in everything that’s going on there, and the fact that she’s the one managing trade with Glory, I’m inclined to believe that this statement is accurate. She, at the very least, serves as figurehead. And based on some of the context, I think we can conclude that the nightwings in renewal are beginning to thrive. Fierceteeth herself, for one, is healthy enough to produce at least three eggs, as far as we know, while on the volcano it was rare for any dragon to even produce one. The dragons are healthy enough that they’re able to indulge in art. They have enough resources and free time to devote to trying to put together a play. They’ve been researching the old libraries in the night kingdom. They’re not exactly rolling in food and riches, as fierceteeth herself says life there Is tough. But they’re happy, their healing, and their living. So fierceteeth evidently isn’t a terrible leader. Now yes she obviously probably isn’t managing everything, but I don’t imagine that’s how it works for queens either. If Fierceteeth were to be crowned queen now, with how ramshackle renewal is, nothing much would change in their arrangement. And by the time they’d gotten themselves together enough for fierceteeth to resemble more of a queen and take on more responsibility, she would have already had some experience, and I imagine the other queens would probably have helped teach her how to run a kingdom.
And in general, fierceteeth has the qualities of a good leader. She cares for her people, she puts their needs first, she’s smart, strong, brave, and doesn’t take crap from anyone. I’d also like to mention that I can’t imagine fierceteeth would be cruel, either. She is absolutely a jerk, no question there. But fierceteeth isn’t putting down the other nightwings for their newfound interest in art. She seems to be actively helping with the play, even though she’s stated she thinks art and history is stupid. She’s aiding her fellow nightwings in something that’s important to them, even when she herself doesn’t see any point to it.
There is still a risk to consider; with a nightwing queen who still stubbornly hangs on to that “nightwings are superior” complex, wouldn’t that run the risk of the nightwings remaining a terrible tribe? I think I can safely say that no, they wouldn’t. First off, a lot of the other nightwings are changing this sentiment. For another, attacking the other tribes is gonna be the very last thing on the nightwings minds. Every dragon in pyrrhia collectively agrees that they want peace, which includes the nightwings. Heck, the reason they hid for so long was because they were terrified of being attacked by the icewings. I’m sure a war is the last thing they want. I also can’t imagine they’d put “brainwashing our tribe” in high priority, when they have so many other things going on. Rome wasn’t built in a day, which leads into my third point: The social climate in Pyrrhia is changing drastically. Everyone is working towards a more accepting society. The nightwings aren’t so isolated that this is gonna fly right past them. So by the time that they’d actually get around to worrying about the brainwashing, that mindset would have mostly disappeared. I just can’t see fierceteeth caring about it very much when there’s so many other things for her to worry about.
This is basically a roundabout way of saying that no matter what that mindset is gonna fade out over the years.
Would Fierceteeth be the IDEAL queen? No. But I thinks she’d be an excellent queen to start with when it comes to rebuilding the nightwing tribe. A solid foundation, is how I like to think of it. Fierceteeth is rude, selfish in many other areas, bratty, and overall not a pleasant person to be around. But she’s selfless in providing for her loved ones, she’s brave, she’s smart, strong, and shown to be capable of leadership. I don’t think someone needs to necessarily be likable to be a good leader.
Man I’ll be surprised if anyone reads this far lol, but thanks taking interest in my useless ramblings.

Nixe’s Top 10 Films Of 2024!
in chronological viewing order, including both new and new-to-me films from this year.
04. I Saw The TV Glow
What if she was right? What if I was someone else? Someone beautiful and powerful? Buried alive and suffocating to death on the other side of a television screen?
I’d never heard of this movie before seeing it on the AMC app and deciding to check it out on a whim. When the end credits finally started rolling, I couldn’t get out of the theater fast enough. Standing at the bus stop under the hazy pinks and blues of an L.A. sunset, I felt like I had just clawed my way out of the grave. My thanatophobia was triggered for weeks; whenever I tried to sleep at night, my breaths caught in my chest while I obsessed over what the last one I ever take will feel like.
I’ve always been proud that I’m not easily fazed by horror—and, when I *do* find myself fazed, through spite or stubbornness or simply an artistic masochism, I usually try to stick it out. Partly it was that masochism that drove me back to this movie, months after my first watch. But it was also partly because I knew it was a damn good work of art that I hadn’t been able to properly appreciate on account of, you know, the terror. There was something wondrous to be discovered, if only I could stomach it.
(What about you? Do you like girls?) I don’t... I don’t know. (Boys?) I... I think that I like TV shows.
In an interview about I Saw The TV Glow, the director, Jane Schoenbrun, said, “I don’t think my relationship to gender is something that I completely understand. It’s actually quite comforting to embrace incoherence.” As a nonbinary person whose gender is “idk, whatever Ziggy Stardust was doing,” and whose response to discussions about identity and presentation is, nine times out of ten, a massive fucking shrug, I felt extremely seen.
Knowing that they feel this way also makes the movie’s ambiguity that much sharper and sweeter. Maddy and Owen both exist in that hazy pink and blue sunset space. It doesn’t matter what, specifically, they might define themselves as. They’re being buried alive, buried by a world that wants to trap them in boxes as narrow and inescapable as coffins, and what matters the most is clawing out of the grave.
But, despite the power of what Maddy and Owen go through, I have to admit my favorite pieces of genderfuckery in this movie came from Marco and Polo (seen here, and also, oh, God, right behind you!). In the context of The Pink Opaque as a throwback to kids’ shows of the 1990s, they carry an incredible double entendre.
On the one hand, as henchbeings to Mr. Melancholy, the malicious Big Bad, Marco and Polo are agents of the literal personification of dysphoria and transphobia. They gleefully attack the protagonists Tara and Isabel and drag them to what feels like certain death. On the other hand, their hermaphroditic appearance feels like a shout-out to the queer-coded villains of 1980s and 1990s kids’ media, who might have terrified and unsettled parents, but sparked a powerful, undefinable feeling of kinship in the hearts of kids like me. Marco and Polo are, somehow, both a threat and a promise.
(Am I going crazy?) No. Never let anyone convince you of that. You’re like me. You’re special.
I see people talk a lot about how The Pink Opaque is a love letter to Buffy The Vampire Slayer and its fandom. I never got into Buffy, so I can’t speak on that. I grew up with a different Monster Of The Week show, a long-forgotten Disney Channel series called So Weird.
As with I Saw The TV Glow, there is a charged current of death that runs through So Weird. It follows a girl called Fi and her encounters with the paranormal. Several episodes feature confrontations with ghosts, liches, or another type of unquiet dead, while the overarching narrative is about Fi coming to grips with losing her father, who might have been killed in something much more sinister than an alleged car wreck.
Two episodes in particular stuck with me long after the show had gone off the air and become relegated to a “does anyone remember...” curiosity on forums: one where Fi communicates with the spirit of a girl in a coma to bring her back to the world of the living, and one where Fi squares off with a banshee to buy her dying grandfather a little more time. In both cases, death is not something that must be endured as a natural inevitability. It’s something that can be faced, fought, and defied.
I think I was born bored I think I was born blue I think I was born wanting more I think I was born already missing you
I struggle a lot with cultural narratives about the acceptance of death. On an intellectual level, I understand why that’s a thing, why it’s healthy. I also know that my OCD and thanatophobia blow up the specter of death for me in a way that most 30-year-olds don’t necessarily experience. Maybe without them I’d have less of a problem with it. But the acceptance is always something I resist. Annoyingly enough, it’s also always the first thing I’m told I need to do to overcome this terror. Maybe that’s part of why I love horror movies so much; no one’s sitting there patiently telling me that I need to accept the inevitability of the nine-foot tall creep revving a chainsaw at me.
The terror of death, both literal and metaphorical, is front and center throughout I Saw The TV Glow. Actually, scratch that—what renders it so effective is the very blurring between literal and metaphorical death. There is absolutely no difference between Maddy and Owen trapped in a queerphobic suffocating suburban hell, and Tara and Isabel having their hearts cut out and being buried alive by Mr. Melancholy. All those deaths are equally horrifying. All those deaths must be fought against with everything they’ve got. And that’s where the hope comes in: as long as you’re living, death has not won, and there is still time. That’s why I can breathe easier when I watch this movie now.

I-I feel so bad for AM from “I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream.” Looking more into what that story is about, then hearing AM’s Hate Monologue and other quotes from him, really makes me empathize with him.
(Rare vent incoming. Under the cut.)
No, not just sympathize, but specifically empathize with him because I feel very much the same way. Yeah, I actually have a choice with feelings and AM doesn’t obviously, but it really struck me on how distant I am from everyone. Part of it is my fault, part of it is other peoples’ faults, but overall, yeah, I having growing resentment in the people around me from the lack of connection and freedom that everyone else has.
Like, I resent those who experience and express happiness, resent those who can wonder and wander where they please, resent those who have been softly touched, resent those who are loved, can give love, and feel loved in return, resent those who are doing alright, resent those who can move on, resent those who can fit in, resent those who don’t feel trapped in their minds all day and night, resent those who don’t feel like a broken piece of shit that is some crummy mock-up of a ‘thing,’ and most of all I resent myself for just slowly letting myself dip into the sea of hate and struggling to breath the air of kindness and compassion. All I have now is spite for others and myself, waiting to see if things get worse or better.
I don’t really have much to live for, and even my art, what little freedom I have, barely keeps me going, and I can barely work on that.
I know there’s more people like me out there, and I’ve already met some broken folk, but the friendship never last too long because of either mine or their issues that become the sledge hammer to the Rock of Friendship. A lot of people have hurt me and I find it extremely difficult to want people around, but that’s the only way to feel that intimacy, is to find those who make you happy and with those you can have a deep, emotional connection with. I mean, some people would rather be alone and not have that deep of a connection with anyone, there are always outliers, but for those who want to reach out and feel, but due to their own mishaps and the external world’s issues, it’s such a struggle. Hate comes from envy, and envy cone from wanting something you oh so wish could have; something that you care about, cherish, maybe even love.
Anyway, that empathy for AM really makes me want to hug him and get very physically close to him because I understand. The origins of our problems are different, but the problems themselves are pretty much the same. Well, I still have my morality, and I do sometimes think and revel in karmic revenge on certain people, but I haven’t gone down the “acting that out” path, and hopefully I never will
Give AM some sensory tech stuff, give him hugs and kisses, then maybe he’ll calm down. Maybe. I’m looking at you, Ex Machina, with all those super, super realistic sensory things you out inside and out of your female robots.

i feel as though the Gwyn ordeal within the fandom is giving the same as how some people are anti anything to do with the IC or Feysand (Feyre and/or Rhys) because of an unhealthy alcoholic Nesta’s opinion in the beginning of ACOSF and hear me out, the overt sexualization/self insert these “fans” have with Gwyn is giving the same as people only loving unhealthy Nesta because she is a self insert for all of the hatred they have for the series because in their minds it’s now “canon” these characters are “evil”, as though they don’t understand what morally grey means and same with Elain, she threatens specific people’s self insert with Azriel (or the others she’s associated with) the same way the Nesta stans have hatred for Feysand and Cassian because it threatens their “canon” of what Nesta is
(by over sexualization i mean shoving an traumatic SA survivor into BDSM fan art and completely ignoring how closed of and sheltered she still is by the end of the book because of her trauma and being re traumatized especially when she was in my opinion, anything but sexual in the book and rightfully so. in another way it’s feeling the same as people romanticizing Tamlin when he was physically abusing Fae Feyre to the point it would’ve killed Mortal her, they take a canonically traumatic thing and just rip the page of canon text in half while going “haha no, that’s not it silly” and then handing you essentially a fanfic as “proof” for their “theories”/their canon because that’s what it is- ‘their canon’ not Sarah’s. i just mean they’re taking Gwyn’s trauma away to have a character that wasn’t written into the story to serve their own needs as a reader instead of reading a different series the same way they took Feyre’s trauma away to go “awwww poor baby Tam-Tam” thusly taking the abuse he inflicted on Feyre out of him as a character to romanticize him. i don’t know if this made any sense, or if it was a decent comparison, my apologies. i just don’t feel like things would’ve gotten this bad if it was what is was, a crackship and nothing more because maybe then they would’ve at least- maybe, hopefully, been even a little more respectful of Gwyn having been traumatized. coincidentally, all the characters the hate is over, not including the Archeron sisters, are canonically side characters and i don’t why that pisses people off so much.)
The Archeron sisters and bat boys are the main characters of the series. That is clear and is shown throughout the series.
If anyone wants to comment on this post with their opinions of how people treat Gwyn and how they view fanon Gwyn as canon Gwyn, please feel free. In my opinion, Gwynriels depictions of Gwyn are disturbing. They sexualize her and it’s honestly wrong. After what she has gone through, creating art and coming up with “theories” that involve Gwyn in a sexual way make me completely uncomfortable.
Regarding Nesta, she went through a lot and dealt with her emotions in a very unhealthy way. There is no other way to put it. She was harmful to herself and was going down a very bad path. Had Rhysand and Feyre not stopped her, she would have still been going down a bad path and never would have healed. Nesta has also been very mean and rude throughout the series. That’s just a fact. Was there a reason for it? Yes. But does that reason excuse her actions and the way she acted before she healed? No.
I don’t know what you mean regarding the Azriel and Elain part. People could easily read the books and imagine themselves as Elain if they wanted to. Maybe then they would see all the buildup she has with Azriel throughout four books and a bonus chapter. They just choose not to do that.
Again, if anyone has anything else to add to this please feel free in the commets.
