Hey I saw your requests were open! May I ask for a fem reader x Anya! Instead of Jambalaya joining the crew it’s a sweet small energetic but slightly chaotic ADHD copilot? No crash but they open their apartment to her when they return after pony express shuts down and supports her through nursing school? Bonus for “I’m gonna launch myself at my friends” type hugs and inviting the gang over to celebrate her graduation! Sorry if that’s too much and thank you for your time and work!
Bubbly Co-Pilot HCS | Anya
A/N: Oh this looks super fun to write
When you'd opened up your apartment to Anya she was already left in disbelief
But she was beaming when given the opportunity to move in with you.
(I actually really want to save some of these HCs for what it would be like to have Anya move in with her partner)
But given your support of her to retake the final nursing exam she could not ask more of you. You had already given her a second chance at life after her main source of income (Pony Express) shut down
Now, Curly is on a ladder hanging the streamers, Swansea brings in the first round of cooked burgers and fixings to set on the counter top, Daisuke sets up the speakers around the house and has Anya's 80's synthesizer music, and you do the finishing touches of your make up in the mirror along as put some effort into the dress you're in.
You all had attended the graduation, but Anya had to stay a little late due to her professors wanting to speak more with her as far as job opportunities. This bought you and the rest of the Tulpar crew to set up a little surprise gathering for Anya in your cozy apartment.
You hear the tell tale beep of Anya's car in the drive way as it locks and you quickly gather everyone near the front door
When Anya opens it her eyes turn to saucers when she takes in her old coworkers and the decorations about the living room.
Then she spots you and the moment you lock eyes with Anya you bolt and leap right into her arms.
Anya, after being with you in space for a little over a year in close quarters knows this habit and catches you before lifting and spinning you, her graduation cap knocked askew in the process.
As you guide Anya into the room further, she takes note of the food, the music, Curly, Daisuke, and Swansea each giving her a bone crushing hug.
As the night draws on there's dancing, dining (finest of grease foods), and a classic game of cards against humanity.
When the night starts to close, the crew helps clean up before leaving and refuses to let Anya help with cleaning
Anya nearly cries after the silence flows back into the apartment but instead of doing that she just squeezes you. Possibly taking her cap off and even leaning down to recreate "The Kiss"
You can expect Anya to print out those photos and scrap book them to look on them on tough days.
A/N: god this was a long prompt BUT THERE WERE SO MANY DIRECTIINS I WANTED TO TAKE IT TOO. Sorry if it seems all over the place it's 6:18 AM here and I have Night watch in 12 hours so I'm going to knock out but pushing more content out!!!

Band AU bullet points / slight timeline of events
This IS an AU, and they’re MY barbies I can make them kiss when I WANT /silly
Here are general bullet points for the Band AU with a slight timeline of events. Reblogs are so appreciated :)
If I write out a scene that's here I'll link the post and reblog this post as a sort of master list? Maybe? I'll figure it out. Also here's the playlist for the AU :)
Cw: mentions of parent death, implied neglect, drug abuse, assault, ooc characters
A little context---
Band Name: Tulpar
Record Label: Pony Express Records
Genre: Rock and Metal
Canon divergence note: Anya does get assaulted, but by her boyfriend instead of Jimmy. I don’t really have a character set up for the boyfriend yet, but I wanted to keep that as an element of her story
Curly on guitar and vocals, Jimmy on guitar and scream vocals, Anya on bass and fills for drums, Daisuke on drums and synth/keyboard, fills for bass sometimes when he’s feeling confident and Anya wants to switch it up
Swansea is their manager right before they go pro and remains their manager when they sign with P.E Records! He is the one the band has to impress with their new songs. If he doesn’t like it, it doesn't get used
Curly and Jimmy formed Tulpar in their junior year of high school. Originally it was going to remain the two of them(Curly was learning drums), but the two clicked with Anya and Daisuke almost immediately during senior year (they were both transfer students).
It for sure took convincing for Jimmy to let them join the band. He made them ‘prove’ they were ‘worthy of finding a place in their art’
They totally fucking blew him away (Curly was a little smug about it after Jimmy conceded.)
Jimmy does bond with Dai and Anya over the years
Dai is the one to propose they go pro. His parents have lots of connections in Hollywood and production, so it’d be easy to find someone willing to listen to them and give them a chance on the billboards
Jimmy gets a little pissy about this (he’s huge into actually working for things in life and hates the idea of using connections to get his success) and storms off without saying anything (normally he’d be dragged out of the room screaming. He’s been working on his temper since senior year. Curly literally slapped it into him that the world isn't highschool and he needs to change the way he acts around people if he wants to retain friendships)
But Jimmy’s mom dies. His dad can't take the grief and follows her into the afterlife. Jimmy breaks down and he’s lashing out at every turn
The rest of the crew take it for months and months, with Curly explaining that Jimmy's really going through a lot and should be patient. He would talk to him later if he hasn't calmed down in a few days
But it just gets worse over the days
Jimmy is constantly putting down the rest of his bandmates but mostly targets Anya as she is the most insecure of the group and finds it easier to spit poison at
One day she visits Curly to discuss this (Salt and Mouthwash scene here)
Jimmy ends up apologizing but it takes time for things to return to normal for all of them
Dai brings in Swansea, a music critic for them to workshop songs with
He goes full manager mode, disapproving of songs the crew thought for sure he’d love and approving ones they were really on the fence about
Insert training montage here
Swansea eventually brings them in front of P.E Records execs
After a brutal five week waiting period, Tulpar officially signs with Pony Express records
To celebrate, the crew goes out clubbing. Anya hooks up with a girl for the first time. Lesbain shenanigans ensue in the bathroom. Jimmy and Curly get a little too drunk. Daisuke pukes outside of the car (and tries really hard to not puke inside the car. He fails.)
Sleepover at Curly’s house (they all forgot they had exams in the morning and Curly’s house is right next to the campus.) Jimmy gets flirty and lonely when he’s drunk and through the heightened emotional states of it all, he goes in for a kiss
Daisuke stumbles into Curly’s room thinking it’s the bathroom. Almost pukes on the carpet like an ill cat.
They startle apart and when Curly comes back from leading Dai to the bathroom Jimmy is already asleep (he’s a little faker- he’s just embarrassed)
Exams go like shit the next morning and everyone is too stressed to go back out and get their cars so it’s a week-long study session at Curly’s while everyone crams
Song writing breaks that become too frequent. Swansea suddenly appears to oversee the studying (Dai’s parents sent him over to check on him, but he finds a reason to stay and supervise. Writing breaks become nonexistent) and he actually helps everyone with studying. He’s the one to propose flash cards and Anya hs to scream into a pillow because why didn't she think of that sooner? Then again when she realizes She did, but her flashcards were in her car. Which was at the bar. Which was an hour away because they’re all idiots.
Swansea and Curly get her car for her and convince her to take a break from her own material while they’re out (Dai just asks her to help him with studying.)
Jimmy like a fucking DOG keeps himself from begging to go with them, but Swansea says “I’ve known how to drive longer than your daddy’s been shooting into socks. Anya’s car will be safe with me, kiddo,” and pushes Curly out the door lmao
On the way, Swans and Curly have a little heart-to-heart and Swans reveals he’s been family friends with Dai’s parents for years and they’re actually large shareholders of the record company.
Curly doesn't care, not really, but he feels his stomach drop and his heart drown in fire. Jimmy could never find out about this. He can hardly keep the radio on during his solo drive back
When they arrive back at Curly’s, Dai and Anya are passed out on the couch while Jimmy sits wide awake at the dining-room table. Swansea sees no reason to stick around (“I went to the club for the first time in twenty years, Grant. I need to get home and sleep it off.”) and dips.
Exams go a little better, but on the last day Anya gets pulled over on her shame-stop to Burger King. She has a panic attack during the stop and it gives her the idea to write HAMMS IN A GLASS. She’s caught humming it and tapping on the coffee table one day while Swansea is over discussing logistics or whatever with Curly. He full stops their conversation, tells Anya to polish it and have it to him by the end of the week (“Motherfucker I might not have a degree if I think about anything other than my tests and where the fucking rotator cuffs are, PLEASE”), and then LEAVES (“Guess I’ll find what our budget will be after you’re finished…”)
She tries to workshop it with Dai between classes (he’s in an engineering course, but their buildings are pretty close together)(Ive only taken online college classes please) but Dai is becoming increasingly unavailable. She turns to her boyfriend. The night they work on it, he gives her a drink to help her relax from all the stress she’s been under
But he takes advantage of her that night. When she realizes what he’s done she flees to Curly’s house. Her boyfriend follows her, accusing her of cheating when she gets to the door and Curly is there to catch her.
Curly tries hard to deescalate the situation, but when Jimmy catches wind of what’s happening at the door he makes his appearance (anya had no idea why he was there (gay reasons) but grateful for the surprise help). Jimmy punches his FUCKING lights out (“I didnt do it for you, Anya. That guy was pissing me off. So I took care of it… Now he won’t mess with either of us, alright?”). Everyone thinks it’s a little hot, even the guy getting punched (hey, everyones having a gay awakening this evening, huh?)
Anya stays the night, thwarting Jimmy’s plans to dick Curly down sexual style at last.

⋆˚࿔ WINTER WONDERLAND
Headcanons of the crew celebrating Christmas
Word count: 1287
Sorry I disappeared for a bit, I got pneumonia and was so sick I couldn’t write. Merry belated Christmas.
Tumblr media
Warnings: Brief mention of: slight injury, alcohol, implication of bad childhood
⟡ ݁₊ . Notes: Not proofread. I quite literally wrote this in the hospital so I genuinely don’t know if this is ooc for some characters so apologies if they are.
CURLY
Assigned to put up the Christmas tree and to prepare the Christmas movie marathon.
Quietly struggled to put the tree in place and had the tree collapse on him multiple times resulting in a few trips to the medbay. Now has those round cartoon bumps on his head.
Had to pry Jimmy away from getting into a heated argument over a missing Polle ornament.
Gave everyone presents wrapped with bright pink wrapping paper with ugly gingerbread men.
Genuinely thought the wrapping was cute so nobody told them it looked like a bunch of mini disfigured Igor album covers arranged in a pattern. (I’m not saying the cover is ugly I swear I love Tyler.)
Turned the sofa into a cozy area with blankets scattered everywhere, pillows in every corner, snacks in a little basket. It’s oddly surprising how the ship could look this much like home.
Fell asleep drowning in blankets after the party, also had the deepest sleep of his entire life with arms wrapped around pillows, drooling, weighted blanket on his side. No one knew he was there until Anya woke him up the next day.
JIMMY
Assigned as the tree decorator. Reluctantly let others put up their own ornaments too.
Couldn’t find a star so he made one himself with paper and yellow markers stolen from Daisuke, hence the crumbled origami star sitting on top of the tree.
“Accidentally” knocked over the “make your own hot chocolate” bar because it was decorated better than his tree. Framed Curly.
Secretly was really excited to cuddle under blankets and watch cheesy, poorly made Christmas movies. He misses how lively the city looked during the festive season and crappy Christmas movies seemed to fill the void just fine.
Has a peppermint flavored candy cane addiction. Ate a whole box and stole a second box to store under his bed.
Told everyone he hated his gifts but if you squint really closely you can see a slight smile on his face while opening every single one as he’s finally experiencing the childhood he didn’t get to live.
Never knew he was so bad at tree decorating. The tree fell over multiple times and he had to start over twice. Threw a tantrum and claimed that Curly did a bad job at getting the tree to hold up.
ANYA
Assigned as the hot chocolate bar organizer and the decorator alongside Daisuke.
Made those really cozy “customize your own hot chocolate bars” with different flavors, toppings and mugs. Even decorated it with mini gingerbread houses and snowmen. (Yes, I’m talking about the bar Jimmy knocked over.)
Was in charge of decorating the hallway and put up polaroids of the crew on the walls which ended up never getting removed after the party.
DIY enthusiast. Made heaps of ornaments and painted a lot of them, she invited Daisuke to paint some too.
She even DIY-ed some decor—snowmen made out of white blankets rolled into balls, snow globes made out of a picture stuck on a jar lid screwed onto the jar with water and glitter… that type of stuff.
Got the crew to add songs to a Christmas playlist that would be played during the party. Sadly got all her own songs removed by Jimmy. It’s okay she added them back and put laxatives in his hot chocolate when he wasn’t looking.
DAISUKE
Assigned as decorator with Anya and also the food organizer.
Had lots of fun taste testing all the food while Swansea was cooking. Literally stood by him half of the time with a look in his eye equivalent to whining “can I try some?”
The whole counter at the kitchen was turned into a buffet. At this point the countertop couldn’t be seen and it was completely covered in food and decor. Was really proud when Swansea complimented how it was arranged.
Hums a few Christmas carols while arranging how each plate or bowl was placed. Was actually a perfectionist and didn’t let anyone toucv anything.
Drew a festive yimpy and pinned it beside OG yimpy.
Bow tying might just be his hidden talent, he tied bows out of ribbons for everyone’s presents. Possibly a ribbon bender if you get what I’m saying.
Ate a serving of every dish before the party started without anyone knowing. Woah wait who did that? Wasn’t him. Actually no food was missing at all. Who mentioned food again?
SWANSEA
Assigned as the cook. Hell yeah Swansea get it unc. Also made a bunch of decor.
Honestly I think the crew used some of the cryo pods to store frozen ingredients, that's where Swansea gets a whole turkey from.
Cooking made him feel like he was on earth again, it made him forget how lonely space was. He whipped up a few dishes made from his wife’s recipes. It reminded him of when he used to cook for his family with his mother and wife. Good ol’ days.
There’s a massive light up snowman decoration he made. He actually messed it’s face up a bit and left it with a permanent lazy eye.
Daisuke and Anya placed said snowman in between the door and one of the vending machines. Swansea let out a funky dad scream seeing it. Has a burning hatred towards it now.
Made a Santa hat for Polle because it felt right.” He actually just felt bad because Polle was excluded.
Tumblr media
CREW SECRET SANTA ⊹ ࣪
CURLY
He got a Christmas basket so thoughtfully packed it nearly brought him to tears. Inside were his favorite protein bars, a pack of Biscoff, gift cards to use back on earth, candy canes, and coffee-flavored sweets. He couldn’t have been happier. But the real star of the show? A leather cowboy hat paired with a red bandana with his name engraved right on it. He loved it. Wore it proudly around the ship for weeks before finally tucking it away safely in his quarters, far out of reach from anyone who might dare to steal it. (Jimmy)
JIMMY
When he unwrapped his gift, he didn’t expect anything special. Probably just booze or something generic. But this? A custom pillow with his face on it and a blanket covered in a pattern with all the crew members’ faces? Seriously? Still, it wasn’t all bad. There was a Dexter poster, Take a Look in the Mirror album, and four cans of beer. Not terrible. But then he spotted the note. It read, “I hope Dexter gets you next.” And just like that, it was bad.
ANYA
She really hoped Jimmy wouldn’t draw her name. In fact, she prayed for it. And it seems those prayers worked, because the gifts she received? Absolute top tier. Swansea has kids, he knows how to pick presents. Not that she knows it was him, of course, but it’s obvious the gifts were chosen with care. Books which were already on her wishlist, new board games, medical school supplies she could never afford, jellycats, custom jewelry. It was everything she could have hoped for.
DAISUKE
Probably still leaves out cookies and milk for Santa just in case. But knowing a different Santa was behind this gift? That had him buzzing with excitement. And when he unwrapped a Nintendo and a stash of sweet treats? Pure joy. His Secret Santa even threw in game cards for Splatoon, Overcooked, and Snipperclips... Just like that, his boredom was cured and so was the missing sweetener problem.
SWANSEA
He knew he had the worst luck as soon as he saw how his gift was wrapped, the paper didn’t even cover the whole box. One glance inside confirmed it: a very clearly secondhand pair of sneakers, scuffed with a few marks and a scratch on the back. Not exactly ideal. But hey, at least they were a good pair he didn’t already own. Another one for his collection.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sorry for being so inactive. Hope you like this, I had to cram it in today so I can go catch up with my other projects. Thanks for reading.

Note
how do you think the tulpar crew spends their free time together when theyre on earth? (eg karaoke, movie nights etc etc)
They don't NEED to interact with each other when they're not working, but Curly insists it builds good morale and connection, making life easier for when they do go on long trips together.
Curly is celebrating, he's drinking, singing back karaoke with Daisuke, daring Anya to join in to lift her spirits. Jimmy tags along but on the promise that he's sensible.
They go bowling, Daisuke's idea, and Swansea ends up beating them all. Curly accidentally throws the ball too hard and it dents a little bit/
Swansea invites them over for dinner sometimes, the house gets a little too quiet with his kids gone and he knows how important a good meal is especially since they have to eat nothing but sad, vacuumed-sealed instant foods on the ship.
Daisuke and Anya throw movie marathon sleepovers, Jimmy isn't allowed because he bitches too much. Most of the time Curly is the only other one who shows up, but sometimes when Swansea decides to join they watch a lot of cop dramas. They hang out and have lunch otherwise maybe a couple times a month, Anya, Daisuke and Curly are the three that hang out the most together, they're the closest in age and have similar interests

For some reason I have a soft spot for recovering Curly and him interacting with the others.
What about a Christmas celebration at Swansea's household? Including Anya, Daisuke AND Curly who was discharged from hospital. I imagine him without face reconstruction at this point, but you can change it if you have your own better ending AU. I also would like to see him as an electrolarynx user.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
A Christmas with the Crew: A Mouthwashing Christmas One-Shot
Summary: Swansea's throwing a Christmas get-together, and the Tulpar crew catches up after some time apart!
Characters: Anya, Curly, Daisuke, and Swansea, all from the video game, "Mouthwashing"
Warnings: None :)
Genre: Fluff (I think?)
Author's Note: My first Mouthwashing request! Thank you so much! I love Mouthwashing, and I totally see Curly as an electrolarynx user too! Have an amazing Christmas! <3
Word Count: 958 words
Tumblr media
"You know," Daisuke said, popping a Hershey kiss into his mouth, "it has been a while since we've all been together, hasn't it?" "Yeah, it has." Anya chuckled softly as she wheeled Curly through the door and into the house. "It's been a while... But, it's nice to get to see everyone again." "Oh, hello!" A soft, feminine voice spoke up, and a sweet elderly lady waved to them from her spot on the couch. (SWANSEA'S WIFE MENTIONED?!?!?!?!!)
"Hi, Mrs. Hotard." Anya smiled and waved, as did Daisuke. (The wiki says that fan speculation says that Swansea's last name might be Harold or Hotard, so I picked Hotard :))
"Hello, dear." The sweet old woman smiled in return. "Swansea will be in here soon, he's just fetching some firewood. It's rather chilly in here, isn't it?" "It is." Daisuke chuckled before turning to Curly and offering him a piece of chocolate. "Hey, man, you want one?" Curly raised his electrolarynx to this throat and said, "No, but thank you."
In response, Daisuke simply turned to offer one to Anya who promptly shook her head after shutting the door behind herself. "Man, suit yourself." He shrugged his shoulders. After that, he turned to Mrs. Hotard and immediately switched to the soft-spoken, respectful youth persona, as all Asian kids do (I personally think he's Filipino-Korean).
"Mrs. Hotard, would you like one?" He asked in that tone he rarely used.
"Oh, yes, please." The woman nodded, taking one. "Thank you, dear. I see why my husband spoke so fondly of you upon his return!"
"Wait, he did?" Daisuke asked, getting a nod in return. He pumped his fist in the air. "Yes!"
At that, she laughed. "Thank you so much for inviting us, Mrs. Hotard." Anya smiled, standing behind Curly's wheelchair. "Of course. You're always welcome here." She smiled. "It was Swansea's idea, after all. He's very fond of you all!"
Just then, in came the big guy.
Swansea!
"Oh, hey, y'all." He nodded, his arms carrying a few small logs that he promptly placed into the fireplace.
"Hey, boss!" Daisuke smiled.
"Hi." Anya greeted him.
"Hey, Anya. Hey, Daisuke. You don't have to call me 'boss' anymore, y'know."
"Yeah, I know." He chuckled. "But it feels familiar."
"Yeah, I guess." Swansea shrugged his shoulders before turning to Curly. "Hey, cap. You sure look a lot better. Makin' progress, I take it?" "Yes. I think I'm doing well." Curly replied, giving as best a smile as he could.
"Well, that's good to hear." Swansea gave him a smile. "It's good seein' you all again."
"Yeah, it's great!" Daisuke smiled brightly. "Mhm... It's really nice. I've missed you guys." Anya added.
"Well, have a seat. I'd love to know what you've all been up to." Swansea prompted, taking a seat next to his wife as Anya and Daisuke sat down as well. "Well... I'm in med school." Anya smiled softly, obviously proud of herself. "While I do that, I've been doing a lot of volunteering..."
"That's good to hear." Swansea smiled. "Proud of you. I know how much you wanted to go back to school." "I can definitely admire a woman with ambition." Mrs. Hotard smiled. "Med school isn't easy from what I heard, and neither is the work that comes after."
"Yeah... But, I don't mind it." Anya spoke with a soft grin. "I've always wanted to be a doctor. I'm really excited."
"That's great to hear." Mrs. Hotard smiled.
"So, what about you, huh, Daisuke?" Swansea asked.
"Oh! Well, ever since we got back, I've been spending a lot of time with my family." He replied before chuckling. "My mom got so scared that she's hesitant to let me do much else, but I'm trying to get a job at an auto repair place until I figure out what I wanna do with myself."
"That's... understandable, actually." Swansea nodded. "Take your time, it's not like a mob's gonna come at ya with pitches and forks for not knowing yet."
"Yeah." Daisuke laughed. "I'm definitely putting some thought into it." "Well, what about you, Curly?" Swansea asked, now directing his gaze to the ex-captain. "I take it you've been spending a lot of time in recovery, huh?" "Yeah, exactly that." Curly said with his electrolarynx to his throat, letting out a scratchy chuckle. "Bunch of surgeries, a bit of physical therapy, even some psych evaluations."
"That's not a surprise. That fucked all of us up a bit, huh?" Swansea spoke, and they all silently nodded.
"But, that doesn't matter anymore." He continued. "What matters is that we all got back, and we're fine. Life goes on, doesn't it?" "Yeah, I guess it does." Anya nodded.
"Well," Swansea spoke, standing up now, "the kids are coming soon. I'm sure they'll like y'all."
"I'm gonna put the oven on. I gotta do a bit of cookin' real quick." He said, going into the kitchen. "Daisuke, you wanna help?" "You bet!" The young man shot out of his seat, running over to the side of the older man, and Anya chuckled.
"It's wonderful to finally meet you, Mrs. Hotard." She smiled. "It's wonderful to meet you too, dear. I've heard a lot of great things about you." The older woman smiled. "Very impressive of you, keeping this man with you alive with a first aid kit." She said, gesturing to Curly. "You're going to make a great doctor." "Thank you." Anya smiled, blushing from the compliment. "I appreciate it."
"Of course." Mrs. Hotard smiled. "And Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas to you, too." Anya smiled, and then the doorbell rang, most likely being Swansea's kids. "I'll get it!" Daisuke exclaimed, rushing over and opening the door, greeting them with a beaming smile.
"Hey! Merry Christmas!"

How do the cast of Mouthwashing celebrate halloween?
Daisuke: All the candy. He loves sugary things, sour gummy worms, etc. The most enthusiastic about putting together a costume
Anya: Isn't too big on unhealthy food, happy to just be included by the group. Won't say no to lollipops or butterscotch. Likes candy corn
Curly: Maybe handles decorations if a party's happening. Mostly prefers mini chocolate bars
Swansea: Refrains from trick-or-treating, hates holidays in general. Obsessively prevents teens from pranking the house
Jimmy: Not big on celebrating either. Goes anyway for begrudging moral support but gets mainly apples and a rock

"My favorite teammate is Davis"
At the Tottenham fan forum held on the 25th (Korea Standard Time), Son Heung-min answered, "Ben Davis" when asked "Who is your favorite Tottenham player of all time?"
Son Heung-min smiled broadly, and Tottenham fans welcomed Son's answer with applause.
Davis from Wales left Swansea City in the 2014-15 season, one year earlier than Son, and joined Tottenham Hotspur. He has been with Son for nine seasons, who joined Tottenham Hotspur in the 2015-16 season.
As it turns out, Son Heung-min has revealed quite a few times that he is especially close to Davis. When asked "who is your best friend with" in a video released by Tottenham's SNS on the 29th of last month, Son Heung-min said, "Everyone is my best friend in 10 years of playing for this team," adding, "But I am especially close to Davis and Fraser Foster."
Davis, who appeared after Son Heung-min in the video, also answered Son Heung-min and Foster as his best "best friends."
In addition, Son Heung-min was interviewed in a special article for Davis, who celebrated his 10th anniversary this year. In an interview released in July, Son Heung-min said, "Me and Davis are close, and we have shared many memories on and off the field," adding, "I will do anything for Davis."
Son Heung-min said, "I've been close with many different players at various clubs, but Davis is a completely different player. I want to call Davis a family member. He's an incredible person."
"Davis is consistent on the field. He doesn't complain, he works hard and plays for the team. He is a great professional, and he is a player that everyone can admire. Whenever he had to step up, Davis always shone and helped the team in a variety of situations. That is his skill. Davis is always there for the team, always for the team as a team player."
He also stressed his special relationship with Davis. "I am the godfather of Ralph, Davis' son. I couldn't believe it, especially being invited to Davis' house. Davis invited me to his family in an amazing way. It was my first time feeling like a godfather. I was so touched, and I was so grateful that Davis thought of me that way."
"We have known each other for nine years. We have shared many memories together both inside and outside the stadium as we got closer. I can do anything for Davis," he said, boasting his unwavering friendship.메이저사이트
Davis, who stepped on the Korean soil for the third time in August with Son Heung-min after 2017 and 2022, also showed his affection for South Korea.
At the press conference, Davis said, "I am happy wherever I go in the world, but I am very happy especially when I come to Korea, Seoul. I am so grateful to receive a lot of love, passion, and attention even after some time has passed," adding, "When I come to Korea, I feel more humble because the love I receive is great. I can feel this heat anywhere in the world, but what makes Seoul special is that it is delivered outside the stadium."

Pasture (City Centre, Cardiff)
I recently had my 24th birthday, and this coinciding with the end of my first academic year in Swansea felt like a perfect opportunity for a big celebration (and a bit of a splurge). On the highest of recommendations from one of my friends, I decided that a trip to the restaurant Pasture in Cardiff would be a fun outing for myself and the sizable friend group that accompanied me.
Simply put, this place specialises in meat - and lots of it. On making our way to the table, the board of weights caught our eye:
Tumblr media
This was for the designated "house cuts" meal, which served a sizable quantity of steak meant for sharing. Although I was tempted by the sheer audacity of ordering the châteaubriand (their finest cut, at a lofty price), I realised that my stomach might not be able to keep up with my appetite and compromised with the fillet (about £32):
Tumblr media
Paired with the lighter brown butter bearnaise sauce, the steak was excellent. Although a tad undercooked relative to my personal expectations, it was quite lean and hearty. I felt that the price point was reasonable for the quality of cut.
To accompany this, I ordered the sourdough bread and raw butter (about £4) and the truffle chips with shaved parmesan (about £6). The butter with the former item was superb, with rich and salty notes that I wouldn't have expected normally from butter. However, I noted from the menu that this was farm butter and lacked the usual preservatives and additional ingredients that dull the flavour. I really appreciate the restaurant's commitment to supporting local food and drink purveyors, and this unexpected treat really emphasized that ethos. The chips were great as well, with the truffle oil really elevating the side. A nice accompaniment to the steak.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(An aside not pictured: the virgin coconut and pineapple mocktail [£7] I had upon arrival. Fairly small, but with a curious floral flavour. A refreshing first drink.)
For dessert, the chocolate dome (£9) was the clear favourite among our group. Although the spectacle of watching the chocolate shell melt via heated caramel sauce was part of the fun, the melted dish that remained was quite varied and nice. The bowl consisted of vanilla ice cream, the aforementioned caramel, a hardened chocolate shell, and hazelnut marshmallows hidden under the shell. It was good fun mixing these ingredients together, and each spoonful was tasty and moreish.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We had a fantastic time here. The meal itself was excellent, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was relaxing. It might not be sensible as a place one would visit on the regular at the price point, but it's perfect for a special occasion. (Note that the "house cut" portions of steak and sides easily scale to the triple-digits in price, and plenty of the fine spirits they had on the menu also go for hundreds of pounds.)
The important part of this trip was getting to have a nice time out with my friends, and the great meal just made it that much more memorable.
total: about £60
grade: 8/10

Independent publishers dominate Swansea shortlist
Tumblr media
The shortlist for the world’s largest and most prestigious literary prize for young writers – the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize – has been revealed, featuring six emerging voices whose writing plays with formal inventiveness to explore the timeless themes of grief, identity and family.
Comprising of four novels, one short story collection and one poetry collection – with five titles belonging to independent publishers – this year’s international shortlist is:
A Spell of Good Things by Ayòbámi Adébáyò (Canongate Books) – novel (Nigeria)
Small Worlds by Caleb Azumah Nelson (Viking, Penguin Random House UK) – novel (UK/Ghana)
The Glutton by AK Blakemore (Granta) – novel (England, UK)
Bright Fear by Mary Jean Chan (Faber & Faber) – poetry collection (Hong Kong)
Local Fires by Joshua Jones (Parthian Books) – short story collection (Wales, UK)
Biography of X by Catherine Lacey (Granta) – novel (US)
Worth £20,000, this global accolade recognizes exceptional literary talent aged 39 or under, celebrating the international world of fiction in all its forms including poetry, novels, short stories and drama. The prize is named after the Swansea-born writer Dylan Thomas and celebrates his 39 years of creativity and productivity. The prize invokes his memory to support the writers of today, nurture the talents of tomorrow, and celebrate international literary excellence.
Namita Gokhale, chair of Judges, said: “The Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize has an important role to play in recognizing, supporting and nurturing young writers across a rich diversity of locations and genres. The 2024 shortlist has authors from the United States, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Nigeria and Ghana, and it has been a truly rewarding adventure to immersively read through this creative spectrum of voices.”
The only debut on this year’s shortlist is the astonishing new Welsh talent Joshua Jones, who is in the running for his highly acclaimed short story collection Local Fires – a stunning series of multifaceted stories inspired by real people and real events that took place in his hometown of Llanelli, South Wales.
The sole poet in contention this year is Mary Jean Chan – who was previously shortlisted for the Prize with their debut Fleche in 2020 – and is now recognized for the collection Bright Fear, which fearlessly explores themes of identity, multilingualism and postcolonial legacy.
Three of the four novelists have also gained their second nomination for the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize: British-Ghanaian author Caleb Azumah Nelson is in contention for his second novel, Small Worlds, in which he travels from South London to Ghana and back again over the course of three summers to tell an intimate father-son story exploring the worlds we build for ourselves; Nigerian novelist Ayòbámi Adébáyò is shortlisted for her dazzling story of modern Nigeria, A Spell of Good Things, and two families caught in the riptides of wealth, power, romantic obsession and political corruption; and US author Catherine Lacey is celebrated for the genre-bending Biography of X, a roaring epic and ambitious novel chronicling the life, times and secrets of a notorious artist.
Completing the shortlist is British novelist AK Blakemore, recognized for her darkly exuberant novel The Glutton, which – set to the backdrop of Revolutionary France – is based on the true story of a peasant turned freakshow attraction.
The 2024 shortlist was selected by a judging panel chaired by writer and co-director of the Jaipur Literature Festival, Namita Gokhale, alongside author and lecturer in Creative Writing at Swansea University, Jon Gower, winner of the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature in 2022 and Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin, Seán Hewitt, former BBC Gulf Correspondent and author of Telling Tales: An Oral History of Dubai, Julia Wheeler, and interdisciplinary artist and author of Keeping the House, Tice Cin.
The winner of the Swansea University Dylan Thomas Prize 2024 will be revealed at a ceremony held in Swansea on 16 May, following International Dylan Thomas Day on 14 May.
Previous winners include Arinze Ifeakandu, Patricia Lockwood, Max Porter, Raven Leilani, Bryan Washington, Guy Gunaratne, and Kayo Chingonyi.

Sabotage, 27th May
No Fit State, Bristol
Contemporary circus
It's going to be difficult to get across just how much this show meant to me for something I've only seen - will only see - one and a half times. Nevertheless, I will try.
Speaking generally, I often see performance-based stuff and want to give it a go. Acting, singing, even dance, obviously comedy, storytelling, spoken word - I've done all these things on stage in front of people because I've seen some people do it and gone "yeah alright, let's have a crack." It's not that I'm good at them, or think I can do better, but there's something about going to an open mic night or equivalent and seeing how people start from scratch that sort of gives me permission to do that.
Circus is not one of those things. I have no inclination to even try and spin a plate, let alone get on a trapeze. I tried to learn to juggle once. My mum put a stop to it eventually because the thud of the balls hitting the floor drove the entire house nuts. I am supremely uncoordinated and physically weak. The jump (or somersault) from nothing to anything is insurmountable for me, and that's fine. That's good, even. It makes every leap and twist something like a magic trick - I don't want to know how they do it. All that matters is that they can and they are.
That's a long preamble before we get to the specifics of Sabotage. As I say, I've seen it one and a half times. This was the full one; the half was when I went to Swansea to MC No Fit State's cabaret show, Village People. A few of the crew recognised me from then, despite me wearing significantly more clothes, which made me feel pretty good but is also just testament to what a welcoming bunch they are.
I don't have a brilliant memory; I'm writing this mostly based on notes made in the interval and directly afterwards. It's not really possible to spoil the show in the traditional sense as there isn't an obvious narrative. My interpretation was that it's a glimpse into a world elsewhere, maybe a village of people somewhere European, and seeing them come together or work alone in alternating scenes.
Every single sequence is some flavour of jaw-dropping. The lighting directs your focus around the tent at performers who enter and leave at varying velocities. It tends to be a solo or duo performance on e.g. aerial silks, a trapeze, something else entirely, followed by frenetic group activity that resets the stage in a way that's entertaining in its own right.
The music is live too, which brings me on to the other observation I had at the time: no one in that tent (I counted roughly 20 people who took to the stage at various points) had just one job. Even the lighting tech played at least two instruments and was acting as a human counterbalance for the aerialists, who also juggled, or rode a unicycle, or sang, or did the balancing for other aerialists.
And this is why this show - circus in general, I think - has carved out a place for itself inside me. It is a fierce celebration of what humans can do, yes, but it also says - loudly - that it is all made possible by the support we give each other. No one can fly forty feet in the air safely without someone at the other end of the rope, staying largely out of focus. No one can use a slackline like a three-inch-wide trampoline without a small army making sure there are crash mats in the right place. We look after each other. We trust each other. We propel each other to do incredible things. In this sense, Sabotage is ironically named.

Behind the Scenes of The Christmas Invasion (Part 28)
Excerpt from Benjamin Cook’s articles in Doctor Who Magazine #365
DWM Christmas Question:  How do you usually celebrate Christmas?
Billie Piper:  A trip to the cash-and-carry to buy food and wine - a massive stock-up, basically - and then just drink and eat myself into a stupor. I’m really pro-Christmas, so anyone that says anything negative about it, I kind of think, ‘You’re not really my friend.’
Russell T. Davies: Usually, home to Swansea. My family starts drinking at about ten in the morning. Then dinner round at my sister’s. Though, last year, I cocked up my travel arrangements and got stuck in Manchester all on my own. Bliss!  The whole day. No phone, no e-mails... just me and a leg of ham, which Julie Gardner sent me as an emergency package. [Laughs] Best Christmas ever.
Camille Coduri:  A typical Christmas in our house is: watch the kids open their stockings, and then breakfast, and prepare lunch, and watch TV, and Christmas music in the kitchen, and lots of phone calls, and then family - the family come round, or we go to family, and it’s very much a family day.
David Tennant: I usually go home to family.  Most of my 34 Christmases have been with the family in Scotland. We have a white Christmas there now and again - not big crunchy snow, but you get the odd smatter.
With a big thank you to everyone who shared set photos!

Your headcanons are so much fun! Can I join in and ask for Colin (obvs) and his dating history please? 😍
So it's difficult to tell whether Colin's never had a long-term relationship because of his bisexuality as a professional footballer or because in the past he's been, in the most tactful way possible, incredibly immature. (I love the guy but early twenties and still putting your colleagues into headlocks? Come on, Colin.)
I once read a fic where Colin described himself as being 'a bit of a slut' and I can't get that out of my head - I think he dates a lot and is pretty popular because as we can see, he's good-looking, cheerful, and as s2 shows is a very sweet person underneath some of the flash. I also think it's likely that he would have been pretty popular at school with the whole football thing, and so this would have started in his teenage years, causing his mum a few sleepless nights!
(I like to think Colin was something of a big fish in a small pond in his hometown of Swansea where he would have started, and then moving to Cardiff and Richmond where there were bigger - and better! - names playing would have knocked a little of the stuffing out of him. However, by that point Colin grew pretty fond of the lifestyle and was very happy to hang around as a secondary figure with the popular big names in the clubs if it meant carrying on with that lifestyle - hence his less-than-healthy friendship with Jamie at the beginning of s1.)
All this is to say that Colin would have grown up with the rather unhealthy footballing culture that pervaded the UK until the last five or so years: a lot of celebrity mags gushing on about these footballers' millions and their houses and their cars and their new girls every week, and I think he absorbed a little too much of that growing up. So I think his dating history has been pretty fleeting and varied with various attractive people, but until recently he's never had the maturity to think of a long-term relationship as anything other than 'something normal boring people like my dad would do'. I think Colin would have been a very lovely and sweet and charming person to date, just not necessarily someone who stuck around for very long.
(And probably those guys and girls he dated saw Colin as someone to have around for a good time, but not a long time. Which might have stung more than he cared to admit, and certainly wouldn't have helped his self-esteem issues.)
Anyway, the changes Ted's brought to the team and to Richmond's culture, and his therapy with Sharon, have left Colin wondering if he'd be interested in something a bit more long-term. Maybe he could ask Keeley for some advice...
