Have some sketches I made the last couple of months since discovering Moral Orel

I did some doodles before this to learn how to draw Orel and this was my first attempt at drawing him in my style. I also drew Christina.

I love Stephanie, so I made a page dedicated to her. The flag is supposed to be the lesbian flag. I decided that I should also draw some of the other adult characters. From left to right: Bloberta, Clay, Reverend Putty, Miss Censordoll, Principal Fakey, and Miss Sculptham. I had a theme with the right page, the adults of Moralton that should be role models for Orel but constantly let him down /lh

Adult Swim canceling this show is my Roman Empire. They really canceled it before the main character could go through his entire arc. I made these design mainly to work on something else, but I'm happy to have made them. I have definitely been inspired by other designs fans have made, but I did try to be original. Also made one for Christina! She's kinda inspired by pastel goth cause I imagine her parents are more strict and wouldn't let her wear traditional goth attire. She's probably already pushing the line.

Finally, some OCs I made. I'm sorry. First two are friends for Christina, I wanted to do something more then make a female Doughy and I had fun making them. The second is an OC I designed for a fic that is currently a wip. Yes, I did have a fun time creating the punny names.

Laika Lyukanida is Christina's childhood best friend. She is a second-generation Russian-American, her grandfather defected the USSR and moved to the US. I wrote that he was KGB, but I'm thinking that him being a spy makes more sense. I thought it would be funny for her to quote her grandfather sometimes and it being obvious that the quote was about his previous work, but neither her or Christina recognize it.

She is more resistant to Christina's chaotic plans, but she always finds herself working on them anyway. She has an interest in science and is often sneaking in the library against her family's wishes. As she grows older, she probably becomes more agnostic but keeps it a secret. Her first name is mainly a reference to the claymation studio, but I imagine in universe she was named after the dog that made it to space. Her last name is a reference to an old stop motion film from Russia.

Komugi Nendo Jingorō is Christina's friend who has a friendly rivalry on who's the better Christian. She is unfortunately very aware of how much her and her family are outcasts due to being Japanese in a mostly white protestant town. Christina and Laika are her closest friends due to them being more accepting of her. Laika understands what it's like for her name to be constantly mispronounced and relates to her. Christina's parents, much like Orel's, are racist and she has to keep their friendship a secret from them.

Her first and middle name is a reference to flour clay. It's a type of clay that children play with, and I thought it would be a cute name for a kid character. Her last name is both a reference to an old Japanese artist known for working with clay, and a reference to a stop motion short film that is about the same guy.

Will Plasticine is a gay florist in Christina's hometown. He grew up there, and when he turned 18, he ran away from his parents to go to college out of state. He met Stephanie there and they immediately became friends due to them being able to relate with growing up closeted in a very religious environment. She made one of her first tattoos on him, a pink triangle on his upper arm. He opened a shop in his hometown once he finished college, but he still has contact with Stephanie and sometimes they visit each other.

His first name isn't a pun or a reference, his last name is a reference to material used for claymation, especially earlier on. I thought it would be funny to make him a florist to Stephanie's tattoo artist, ie the florist and tattoo artist au thing. Obviously it's not romantic, they're just good friend. I imagine he has a story that parallels the episode, "The Blessed Union", where Christina hears a sermon about how wives should treat their husbands and she becomes curious on what husbands should do for their wives and she ends up in his shop.

Beetle is trans and gay. I will not elaborate further.

In Pico’s School/Pico 2, Beetle is 13, almost 14. In Fnf, Beetle is 19. 

Femur breaker. Beetle has the jaw strength of a spotted hyena and takes great pleasure in snapping bones in half. Take that as you will. 

On that note, Beetle does not bite playfully. If they bite you and you’re a friend, it is very lightly and mostly to tell you they are not in the mood. They could snap your bones in two if they wanted, they just really worry that they’ll do it by accident. Beetle does not know their own strength and it scares them. Beetle won’t care if you do it to them though, which is why Nene gets away with it all the time. 

Beetle is indeed a shapeshifter, but like in my sona post explaining it briefly, they are limited into what they can shapeshift into. They can learn how to transform into other creatures, and also learn to change the size of said form, Beetle is just really slow, so they can only shift into a cat with a few varying sizes.

Shapeshifters like Beetle can pick and choose to learn what things they want to turn into. When they first start out, they have a clean slate, an empty palette so to speak. So, they can learn whatever form they want to start. Of course, there are recommendations of where exactly to start. The smaller animals and creatures are much harder to do, since it’s easier to expand organs than to shrink them. In that logic, Beetle chose to learn how to do a cat first. It’s one of the easiest forms to learn.

Yes, shapeshifters can get stuck, but it usually isn’t too difficult to get out. Sometimes the body can work itself out after a certain amount of time. Worst case scenario, they’re stuck with like a horse leg for an arm for 20 minutes.

Beetle has been stuck before, especially when doing smaller sizes. 

The smallest they can shapeshift into is the size of a mole.

Beetle does not like living in the city at all. They skedaddle away to the countryside as frequently as they can whenever they get the chance, which is unfortunately not that often. They miss their hometown a lot.

Beetle’s biggest means of affection is gift giving in both giving and receiving. They have chronic crow brain.

Beetle’s favorite kind of bones are skulls, any skull. Rodent, feline, canine, any skull. 

Any bones that they have are all scavenged. They would rather jump off a bridge into a river of broken glass than kill a living creature for its bones. Their proudest bone that they have is a large deer skull. The first bone they ever scavenged themselves was a rabbit vertebrae when they were 13.

Very interested in witchy stuff. Sage burning, moon water, crystal collecting, the whole nine yards. 

Squeamish. There’s a reason why they can’t stand being around the Pico gang when they’re on missions and whatnot. They can and will faint at the sight of the red bodily fluid. They can barely make it through their shark weeks.

As much as they have changed by the time the FNF timeline rolls around, they are still a goth at heart. They still listen to Guns N’ Roses and Megadeth on a daily basis. Their favorite songs from GNR are Sweet Child O’ Mine and November rain ←(it makes them cry every time). Their favorite Megadeth songs are Tornado of Souls, Symphony of Destruction, and Promises. 

Other bands and music artists that Beetle likes are Sir Chloe, Mr Floyd Larry, Cosmo Sheldrake, Nirvana, ABBA, Alex G, and many others.

The genres they typically like are alternative/indie rock/rock. But they also love metal and alternative folk.

They can sing pretty dang well (school choirs will do that) and they know how to play the piano. They also know how to play the acoustic guitar.

Beetle hates Papa Murphy’s with a burning passion. Little Caesars or bust.

Fatherless behavior™

Their favorite kinds of cheese are mozzarella and parmesan.

Besides being AuDHD, obviously, they also have C-PTSD, GAD, and DPDR. (I'm aware that other mental disorders exist.)

They do take medication for GAD (General Anxiety Disorder). They’ve been taking this medication before they even came to Philly, so it isn’t something that necessarily stemmed from the events of Pico’s School. It is worth mentioning that they increased in dosage after the fact, though. 

Beetle was acquainted with Pico, Nene and Darnell before the events of Pico’s school. Darnell specifically seemed to click more with Beetle, which is why they were more open with him in Equal Grounds. They feel like they can trust him a lot, because they know he’s a lot smarter than people take him for socially wise. They respect that. 

Beetle is 5 '3 in their regular state.

Beetle will go feral for huckleberries and raspberries. 

They walk out into the wilderness unprompted sometimes. Times of which this occurs differ, but never in the middle of the night. Say they walk into the woods at around 12 pm, they will be coming back out by 10 pm at the latest. 

They have a strong sense of smell and are really good at tracking.

Beetle has four siblings. They’re closest to the second oldest.

Goodbye MHA

Spoilers for MHA up to chapter 430

I just read the final chapter of MHA and cried. I have never followed anything for so long and this work is incredibly special to me.

I started reading MHA in 2018, when I was in my first year of uni, and it was exactly what I needed. While I might not have always kept up with the anime since I caught up with the Manga I have read it every week. It has been a rock for me during a lot of different times. It helped me through Lockdown, losing my friend group (twice), and starting my master’s degree. Reaching the end of this manga, of this story one thing that has stuck in my head is: What do I do now? The Anime is still coming out and there are some spin-offs I can read but MHA is over and as far as we know there is nothing else. This world is finished and it has ended.

Was MHA perfect? No, fair from it. It had a lot of problems that are unfortunately staples. But, was it good? Yes. It was very good. There are a few times where I wish it had had more room to breath but and the ending still feels weird to me. It felt like that Horikoshi was setting up for a long epilogue and then suddenly switched to only a few chapters to finish. But I like how the Manga ends. I like how despite none of the main cast die and we get to see them become heroes and we get to see how being a hero has evolved and changed. I love that in the end the message isn’t just that Deku became the strongest and solved all the problems but that systemic change needed to happen - would I love to seen more of how that happened. Yes, but did I need to - probably not.

It’s interesting but at the end I’m left thinking of Hero All-mights final words “次は君だ” or “you’re next”. So, MHA fandom, now it’s our turn - what are we going to do? Where are we going to take what Horikoshi has given us?

listen, I am firmly convinced that the exorcist tv show is the best kept secret queer horror that people didn't know about at the time (hence the cancellation)

it was marketed in the style of cool slick horror and so naturally the completely wrong audience found it and didn't like it at all, when I think if tumblr had only known....

that, and of course the guest-cast is stellar -- geena davies in season 1?? john cho in season 2??

I will say - as a horror aficionado that gets scared super easily - that it's not the scariest thing out there. this is potentially good (if horror isn't usually your bag this is relatively entry-level, although it does get in a couple of good spooks!), or bad (if you wanted it to be as scary as the original exorcist, but then, that is a high standard), but it certainly makes up for it in both character writing and themes (and having said that, it is definitely not devoid of scares!)

for anyone else wondering, it's partially a rumination on the violence perpetuated against kids and a traumatised queer man who's trying to break that cycle, alongside another man who's unfortunately got "Destiny" written all over him, and therefore demons think he's a fuckn snacc (tomas, bby, you are trapped in the narrative, but at least marcus would crawl through hell to save you)

I watched ben daniels (marcus keane) in a play the other day and my goodness is he just as electric onstage as he is on the screen. he's going to be in the next season of interview with the vampire as well, which is perfect as I am conspiracy theory convinced that the exorcist laid the groundwork for something like that to exist, while alfonso herrera (tomas ortega) is known for having been in sense8 around these here parts (my house), where he plays a beautiful bearded university lecturer in a secret relationship with a closeted gay actor. not to throw even more shows out there, but my goodness is there some wonderful storytelling in this world

wish I could chat with either of them about this show and whether they had a sense of what they wanted to happen next, but hey, at least we had it to begin with! (don't cry because it's over, etcetc)

again, if anyone is tipping over into maaaybe could watch, the individual seasons are their own stories, alongside the overarching plot, so one can watch and get two good horror stories out of it. the first one references back to the og movie, but I hadn't seen it when I watched and was still easily able to go along for the ride

hi!! my artfight is pyjamac same as on here i haven't got everything set up for this year yet though… i am a mountain goats fan though not as much as my brother haha. that drawing is of my oc sal and my boyfriend @/invasato's oc ellie! they're these two guys who work for a us independent agency that's in charge of regulating supernatural creatures and happenings (like imagine if the usps or amtrak was the x-files right it's that). they travel the country and kill monsters, or just give them a stern talking to. they were assigned to each other as partners after sal was injured and had to take several months off and his former partner was reassigned and ellie's partner was killed. sal's this recovering charlatan type like he's really only concerned with making it from one moment to the next which gets him in a lot of trouble a lot of the time bc mostly he's just out here entertaining himself. he has this idea of himself as really high class really sophisticated but in a really outdated way he got from tv as a kid and mostly an act to distance himself from his upbringing in very rural farmland ny lol. ellie is my boyfriend's oc and xe'd do a better job telling you about her but to me she's a really genuine really sweet extremely pathetic person. he has a curse also which contributes to the boths of them's perpetually on the run from something nature…… they're very good friends they're bffs and they also have a weird gay thing going on being that ellie is hopelessly desperately in love w sal and sal likes him too and is really possessive of ellie in a non heterosexual way but ultimately too emotionally neutered to really know what that feeling is and too fixated on "not being tied down" to do anything about it if he did (like he has an idea but mostly it's like yeah i think she's hot but unfortunately then it would be weird between us so i can't oh well no other options). their story exists as a tv show in our heads and we have episodes so something does happen between them it just does take a whole season and then like well into season 2 to talk abt it lol. anyway there will be no divorce… i think black pear tree is really sal i think he has a lot of that feeling like well it's only a matter of time. also genesis 30:3… :•( which i know is like actually very explicitly abt a specific story but whatever like ellie would truly do anything for sal even though he's often kind of bad to him/takes advantage of this.

so i wanna start this with how adam's existence went when he was first placed in the garden of eden.

from the moment he was created, up until the moment he ate the forbidden fruit, everything adam knew, he was essentially told such by God. (aside from the whole...being gay thing. but that's a whole different post in and of itself.) which animals were which, which plants were safe to eat and which weren't, to not eat from that one particular apple tree, how to take care of and protect himself and his (eventual) family, that lillith was to be his wife, and after she'd left him that eve was to be his wife, all of that he was told.

now that all of that's been said.

adam was initially unsure how to feel about lillith. in my mind, i simply don't see lillith being very interested in adam in the first place, which more than likely contributed to her leaving with lucifer; but frankly, adam likely didn't feel much of anything towards her either. one might call them friendly, acquaintances, maybe friends even, before her leave, but i don't see either of them getting particularly close to romantic with each other when it comes to how they felt. regardless of that, he was told she was to be his wife. before she left, he thought what he felt for her was love. in reality, again it was simply... not much of anything. adam merely followed the motions of being her husband, again, until she left. however, he never really blamed her for leaving. let's be real, he'd probably seen lucifer by then, he would've left too if he'd gotten his attention instead. but he especially doesn't blame her in retrospect due to eve's arrival and, well...💅🏼 but that's a later problem.

so, eve. adam truly did care about and love eve. maybe it wasn't quite as romantic as God would have hoped, but he loved her enough to make a family with her. however, when she was created, adam seemed to get this notion that "this one should listen" (whether God was telling adam outright that she should listen to adam, or it was God's want to have a stronger hold on her Himself and adam just kinda got the vibes, that would be up to interpretation here for a variety of reasons lol). adam tells eve everything that God told him; how to figure out which of the other plants are safe to eat, how to protect and take care of a family, and especially how she should not eat from this particular apple tree. and for a while, everything's great. adam loves eve, they begin to start a family, everything's lovely. maybe a little strained, for a short time, much later (yknow, after adam makes a small little realization about himself, mostly unknowingly), but overall... their lives are good. now when eve comes over and brings him an apple from the forbidden tree, and adam doesn't find out until after he's already taken a bite... all of that changes. there's suddenly all of this knowledge floating around that he didn't have before, of course, but it comes with this slight feeling of betrayal. adam is genuinely hurt that eve had taken from that one stupid tree. how many times had he reiterated, it was God's rule, not his own? he had only meant to look out for her. unfortunately this would cause their separation, with eve going on to tell her side of the story (whatever that may be, i don't control eve muns /lh), and adam... never really telling his side, especially not after eve's story blows up in his face.

tl;dr: adam felt at most a distant platonic love for lillith, but since losing touch with her, no longer considers her a friend. he had some sort of genuinely loving connection with eve, but was genuinely hurt when she took from the forbidden tree, enough for a rift to eventually come between them and they too lost touch.he does not blame either of them for leaving him, again especially in retrospect since he's come to terms with his sexuality.

now lucifer... that's another whole separate post to make lmao

i dont quite get the post about ace/aro being separated. like.. biromantic and bisexual are two different orientations but they arent separated often when talking about bi people, why should ace/aro be separated specifically? (asking for genuine answers im just a little confused. i do think they are separate but i dont get the anger against them being grouped since they are similar and related)

basically, a lot of the time, alloaros and non-sam aros are just ignored in aspec conversations, and a lot of people in the queer community who are neither of those (alloallos, alloaces and aroaces) just assume that someone who signals being aro has to be ace, and even aroaces who prioritize their aro identity are ignored in what is prioritized by others.

what is additionally annoying is a problem with sex negativity in the ace community. this is not to say all aces are sex negative or shame people for having sex, but on one hand, i have seen not that few aces who have an attitude of "sex is yucky and i am better than people who experience sexual attraction" and also "aces are automatically wholesome people because we don't want to do anything sexual" (which also has a whole other problems regarding sex favourability).

so being automatically grouped with aces is very annoying for most non-ace aros. we have a lot of similar fights and i think a united aspec community is important, but it's also important not to forget that the there are non-ace aros, and i have nearly never seen us mentioned in general pride stuff seperately from aces

pet peeve of mine: people writing aros/aces as one category when listing multiple categories, for example "queer includes (among other identities) gay, lesbian, bi, trans, inter and aro/ace people". these are two separate identities. it's nice that aspec people are included but i had soo many people come up to me at pride with ace stuff while i was only indicating to be aro, and i really wish people would start to see aromanticism as its own orientation

Okay so. First off, for context, he's technically a My Hero Academia OC but like,,,barely at this point hekdj

Anyways-

Yasahiro was born in Iceland, his father was abusive to his mother and tried to raise Yasa to be the same type of man before his quirk formed!

Yasahiro had originally gained a healing quirk, where, essentially, he would be able to kinda create this odd black slime thing and control it with his hands and if he covered an injury with it, it would begin to heal! Ofc, bc I'm a gay little freak, he has some physical changes happen to him whenever he uses it but shhhh-

Anyways, his father gave up on him after that due to his quirk not being what he wanted! Yasa originally used his quirk to help heal his mother after his father left her alone, but thankfully the moment he tried to hurt Yasa his mother left him<3

He was around 8~ at that time, and around 2-3 years later his mother married his step dad and soon had his baby brother, Kiyoshi! Everything was fine for the most part and around the time Yasahiro turned 17, they moved to Japan (his mom's home country)!

He had only just turned 18 like 2 months before his parents ended up dying in an accident (can't remember what type</3) and he ended up having to take care of Kiyoshi all by himself while in college and working a minimum wage job

So!! Yasa essentially decided to give up on his school and got another job in order to support them! Unfortunately, that didn't last very long and they ended up becoming homeless after a while-

But!! Yasa ended up eventually finding all my other BNHA OCs (Tsubasa who was 19 and kicked out for being queer and Hiroyuki and Moya being,,,idk like 10 bc shitty parents) and then became big brother and took on another job and the occasional crime to provide for them all<3

Butttt then the area they were in got attacked bc of a hero vs villain fight and they all got separated! Yasahiro and Kiyoshi ended up staying together by pure luck and eventually, he joins the league of Villains through Mr Compress (who he was kinda like a sidekick to beforehand)!

Uhhh long story short, he finds out Kiyoshi ended up abusing the others when he wasn't around and during the argument, Kiyoshi blinded him with his quirk (Fiery Chains)!

Uhhhhhh after everything that happens he eventually becomes like, another nurse to UA bc Hiroyuki begged and cried to the school board to let Yasa stay and Tsubasa threatened them over it too<3

Oh also, when joining the villains he fuckin got another quirk merged into his OG one which is a poison version of his healing quirk (and instead of black it's white<3) that can also create a little slime barrier<3

Hanging around Neil and Todd's dorm on a Saturday wasn't an unusual occurrence for the Dead Poets. Quite often they'd sit and smoke or study or talk together, almost always getting yelled at by Hager for being too loud.

This Saturday was no exception, Neil, Todd and Charlie were sat on Neil's bed. Neil and Todd were looking at poems for the meeting the next day as Charlie tried to bother them as much as he could. Pitts and Meeks were sat on the floor, still working on radio equipment which meant Cameron and Knox were left on Todd's bed. Knox writing a poem and Cameron brushing up on trig.

Cameron was vaguely aware of Charlie playing fuck, marry, kill in the background with everyone else, but he mostly blocked it out. Well, until he heard his name that is.

"Cam. Cammy bear. Richy." Cameron betrayed himself with a sigh, inadvertently letting Charlie know he'd heard him. "Okay so," He looked up to see the devilish grin on Charlie's face. "fuck, marry, kill..." He thought for a moment. "Nolan, Knox and.... me." He smirked.

Knowing he couldn't get out of this one, he just accepted his fate and said: "Fuck and marry Knox, and kill you and Nolan." The room burst out in laughter and Charlie broke out in a pout.

"Hey, that's not how you play!" Cameron only shrugged.

"Well, for the record," Knox spoke up from his right. Cameron turned beet red in embarassment. "I would totally fuck and marry you over Charlie any day, Cam." His face must have been as red as his hair by this point.

"Wait, Cam, are you blushing?" Neil spoke up from his corner with Todd where the two constantly whispered things to each other. He felt flush creep down his neck.

"I'm not blushing, Neil-"

"Holy shit you are!" Charlie pointed out, laughing. The truth was, Cameron had no romantic feelings for Knox but the mortifying ordeal of what he'd done was getting to him, especially when Knox moved to dramatically smack a kiss on his cheek while making kissing noises.

"Knox! Get off me you weirdo!" He tried to squirm away but Knox just kept coming as everyone lost their minds laughing.

"Cox!" Charlie suddenly exclaimed. "Cam plus Knox is Cox!" That only made everyone laugh harder.

He wished he could say the whole Cox ordeal ended that day, but unfortunately, some jokes never die. Every time Knox would get a new girlfriend, it turned into: 'Cam, just so you know, I may be dating her but my heart will always belong to you-' 'Fuck off-' Or when he eventually got together with Charlie: 'Cam, baby, please don't tell me I'm a side chick to that sexy Overstre-' 'You're still on that??' If they ever got married, he was sure it would be incorporated into their wedding somehow.

Cox will live forever and there's nothing Richard Cameron can do to stop it.
