what’s up I’m Fae, [redacted], and I never fucking learned how to make a promo post <3

I typically gravitate towards cute and whimsical things so that’s mostly what I end up drawing! Things like magical girls, dnd, faeries and the likes inspire me the most so you can expect to see a lot of shoujo fantasy nonsense on my blog. Most of what I end up posting here are tends to be character designs, art of mine and my friends original characters as well as the occasional art trade and commission post! first year vs fourth year

aka im back in sge mode heyyyyy 😭 just doodling some (mostly soon to be featured) characters from my prequel / young callis+arthur series (i know its kind of old BUT. i AM working on the next installment which is probably going end up 3x as long 💀 stay tuned for wip posting. and callis posting 🥰)

ummm random ideas / explanations under the cut:

gareth and gaheris are arthur's cousins (gaheris is 15 (1 year older than arthur), gareth is 12) and both in his class. they generally dislike arthur for various reasons but mostly because they think he's cursed + stole the crown from his brother

callis is gareth's best friend. he is Not hers. he might also be in love with her but that is a tale for another time. you'll see

george (or grog) and alek are callis's roommates (alek is barely 16, george is turning 12). they both got into evil technically by nepotism. you'll see

it will be Ages before i can properly explain why lesso's name is completely different in this series so ill just say it here. its quite silly actually but its been this way for Years and Years so "leonora" is actually a portmanteau name of her first nickname (nora) and a second nickname (leo). the road to nickname 2 will be a long one paved with the power of friendship and not dying in the trial by tale etc etc. you'll see

emma is a surprise tool we will use later or something. she's not relevant after first year or so but im doing my own spin on her not being asked to the snow ball but somehow not being failed. what i'll say now is that callis and gareth are involved. you'll see

This small spikes on her shell are something that naturally occur when a turtle is dehydrated, or tortoise, they get these pyramid like spikes on their shell, the spikes are permanent, but the dehydration is not. Anyways, heres a drawn explanation of how she was mutated:

I think one of the traits that I wrote into Zlatko on accident is that despite being very much been through the ringer physically, he's still kinda sorta vain. He gets into disputes with several superiors to keep his long hair and is willing to suffer punishment for it. The Schola mends his nose and he takes the opportunity to straighten it. Mayrie stares at him and he immediately assumes it's the augment. His bad leg has a casing that's purely cosmetical. I don't think he's even aware of it.

So, in short - I was brushing my teeth when it occurred to me (if you think about it like that, for some reason all good ideas come to me when I brush my teeth) but anyway

B lives alone in his house, he has a boring life and is lonely.

One evening he is sitting in a chair in his room and reading a book when he hears a hoarse whisper, barely audible: "Hey?"

Of course, he gets scared, turns his head, trying to find the source of the sound, when he sees two completely white eyes staring at him from the wall, glued to the faded shape of a human silhouette on the wall. Like a pale shadow.

"Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you," — it mutters.

B, of course, thinks he's going crazy and ignores the shadow as he goes to bed (yes, I think that's reasonable, leave me alone)

The next day, however, the shadow does not go away, on the contrary, it takes on a more intense dark appearance, and resumes timid attempts to talk to B.

B finally gives in and talks to it.

It turns out that the shadow was once a person, a human, A, and then was imprisoned in the shadow in this very apartment (I’ll think of this better later), and so - since then he has been wandering here in the form of a shadow, lonely and intimidated, until B appears.

B sympathizes with the shadow, and even tries to somehow console it, touching the dark form, until... lo and behold! The shadow crawls right out of the wall, taking the form of a guy!

A is too weak, which is clear, since he was imprisoned in his own shadow for a long time, literally. He is thin and lethargic. But, nevertheless, under the good supervision of B, he becomes stronger every day, gaining the strength to live a normal life. His demons still haunt him, but he's ready to move on.

Oh, and at a time when the weight of life and his painful anxieties becomes greater and greater, and B is not around to console him, A again turns into a faded shadow, after which he again needs to be taken out of this state, as a result of which he becomes even more weaker.

So B finds a roommate he never knew he dreamed of, and A a ​​friend he never had.

You know what, I really love this plot. I will write this, get ready. And I will draw it too. Aeh.
