I had previously never seen anything passed the first episode, so imagine my shock when watching a full play through of the Game of Thrones Telltale game, when I realize this mostly underrated little video game has better characterization for Jon Snow then season 7 and 8 combined.

Artem smiles as they set up to sing and dance for a bit in the music room.

Breakfast with their family was wonderful but the entire time they felt a buzzing energy building under their skin.

They haven’t been able to properly vent in a while.

They have an entire music room perfect for that they have yet to use since moving in! What a waste….

Well that changes now! Artem links up their phone to the speaker system. Unbeknownst to them rather than connecting to the speaker system of the music room, they connected to the manors security speakers.

Throughout the manor a robotic voice can be heard

“Now playing the “My Beau” playlist“ this is immediately followed up by the song Bang Bang by K’naan.

As the song comes on Artem smiles, quickly falling into the beat.

For some reason one of my mornings started by listening to Netherland's this year's disqualified entry (because I missed second semi-final to see it be performed) and frankily Joost Klein's "Europapa" became my morning hit.

Now every morning, before I leave for work I listen to that particuliar song. It's now a tradition. And I absolutely love it.

Nighttime settled aboard the icy ship, the ocean waves crashing against its hull and rocking it like a mother would their child’s crib. Everyone on board was asleep at the midnight hour. Everyone except for Captain Gutt. He would have been asleep by now if not for a particular sloth slash hostage tied up to one of the masts. He glowers from a nearby perch, letting out a soft growl in annoyance as he takes note of Sid’s sleeping habits. He was snoring, occasionally muttering obnoxious yet incoherent strings of words. One of his three-toed feet even thumped against the deck of the ship a few times, causing even more noise. It was a good thing he was tied up as well, otherwise he would be floundering on deck like a fish fresh out of the water. Maybe it would have served better to have him overboard.

The ape’s shoulders tense when Sid’s occasional noises formed into silence, now watching with malice as he wakes up from his sleep in a startle. Sid blinks a few times, eyes darting around and sensing that he was being watched by something…or someone. The fact that the sloth was uneasy made Gutt somewhat satisfied, yet it simply was not enough; he wanted to give a warning they would remember. Grabbing a nearby bone dagger, Gutt aims before hurling it with swift force, the blade now lodged in the wood just above the poor sloth’s head. Sid shrieks from having a weapon thrown at him, looking around with his heart hammering in his chest as the captain drops down with a heavy thud.

Gutt’s face emerged from shadow, the pale moonlight and reflections from the ice around them casting it in an eerie bluish light. His large, scruffy form loomed over Sid, being at eye-level with the sloth while giving him an observant once-over. Sid meanwhile held his breath, seeing Gutt lean forward a little too close and bear uneven teeth to him while he dislodged the blade from the mast. Gutt shushes Sid before the sloth could say any words in protest, pointing the tip of the sharp bone near his neck.

" Shhhshsh, quiet. No more noise from you aboard my ship tonight, sloth, or I won’t hesitate to throw you overboard. Do you understand? You better, or your days will be numbered... "

The sloth nods in quick succession at the ape's very evident threat, not wanting to cause trouble while aboard this ship. While they technically were being held hostage, it was slightly better than the situation they were in before. Gutt’s smile grows bigger and more menacing, glad that he was wise to follow his orders. Without another word, he slips back into the dark of night as quickly as he appeared, leaving Sid to be left alone with his thoughts.

a very highly specific "i'm obsessed with you because you're the only one to destroy my routine, which is kinda making me cross wires seeing you as my first victim (who i was 'in love with'), and your level of empathy confounds and fascinates me, let me study you like a lab rat" vs. "god, you're in-fucking-sane but i'm scared and isolated and desperate for any kind hand so ig i'll take it where i can get it" kind of way. you know? do you see my vision?? sdhgjskgk

there's no love there, exactly, but there is like. some weird affection on cale's part, and survival that turns into "affection" out of a total loss of connection with any other human on sean's.

like. i love a good conditioning plot. i love enemies who still technically hate each other's guts, but who, either out of fascination or necessity, develop something as close to love as either of them will get.

i dunno, man. the whump of it all just tickles something in my brain.
