DeLillo Chevrolet’s Benefits From Dealership Double-Sided Banner Sign
The pole banner announces their body shop!
Excellent customer service is a hallmark of the client experience with Superior Signs and Graphics. It sets us apart from the competition and is a great asset to our patrons. Consider the service manager of Delillo Chevrolet in Huntington Beach. A sizable car dealership with an excellent parts department, he wanted a new pole banner to let passersby know about the dealership’s first-rate body shop.
At first, he contacted another sign maker. After three phone calls that never resulted in a return call, he contacted us. We designed, produced and installed a double-sided pole banner within just a few days. Even after we had climbed down the ladder, cleaned up our supplies and left the job site, the service manager still had not heard back from the other company. No wonder he was happy with our customer service!
It should not take a couple of weeks to order dealership double-sided pole banners. Orange County, CA, has a vibrant business community that needs its vendors to be onboard with outstanding customer service so that its members can – in turn – serve their clients and customers. We understand that speed is of the essence when you need a new sign. After all, signs are part of your overall marketing package and a failure to advertise today is another day that potential client relationships are missed.
Double-sided pole banners attract attention!
Our Commitment
We are a full service sign company that takes customer service seriously. We believe that excellent customer service and stellar products are two sides of the same coin. It is impossible to offer one without the other. We work with clients who already have blueprints of their desired signage in hand. We also work with those who come to us without so much as a rudimentary idea but only the knowledge that they need some type of signage product to accomplish a desired goal. In short, we counsel, we sketch, we design, we manufacture and we install.
Our Banners
We produce a wide variety of banners for retailers, service providers and non-profit organizations. Whether you need pole banners like DeLillo to advertise a new department, product or special occasion, or you need temporary signage for your storefront to advertise a seasonal sale, we can provide you with the right markers.
Our banners are suitable for indoor use, trade shows, exterior walls and for hanging on construction site fencing. Our exterior banners are made from heavy-duty materials that easily withstand heavy downpours as well as long-term sun exposure. Hang them from poles, attach them to stands or use grommets and pole pockets for securing this signage.
Banners can be seen by foot and vehicle traffic!
Getting Your Message Across
What should you say on your banner? When you work with out experienced graphic artists, we can help you with the message as well as the layout. Decide if you want to add graphics, rely simply on lettering or combine the two for best results. Our technicians come to your location, gauge the street traffic that you get and then suggest a banner size, setup and the use of graphics that is in keeping with making the marker the easiest to read for motorists as well as pedestrians. Contact us today for a free quote and a quick turnaround!

🐈Aizawa HC’s🐈

I dunno if people will care for this; I suspect my HC's for Aizawa are a little off the fandom norm. Still. I tried. Things get approximately NSFW under the cut. Minors do not interact.
- - - - -
General
He has like, one discernible change of clothes per season. There is no distinction between hero outfit, casual wear, and pajamas. That fabric used to be black. It is now an exhausted shade of ‘please stop washing me.’ If you suggest that he buy new clothes, he will stare you down like you have three heads, and none of those heads have a brain.
This man does not spend money. He has a mind-blowing amount of savings, but no one will ever know until he dies and wills it all to a random animal shelter in the middle of nowhere. Has a secret scholarship fund for UA students. Again, this is completely anonymous. Only the principal knows.
He's a startlingly competent sketch artist. Nothing fancy, and he never took an art class in his life, but his quirk innately lends itself to spacial reasoning and feature recognition. He has sketch books brimming with sloppy but pin-point accurate life drawings. He can capture your soul in three strokes of a dried-up ballpoint pen. It's eerie.
Given his schedule, you’d expect him to prioritze convenience first, but junk food makes him cross-eyed. His body is a temple and he eats like a fucking monk.
He’s a wine snob. Well, a liquor snob generally. He knows the name of every regional sake-maker in Japan, and can tell you exactly which bottle is the best, down the the month of production. Assumes everyone possesses such laser-focused knowledge.
Tea drinker. Yeah, he has encyclopedic knowledge about that too. Apparently everything this man drinks comes with a bibliography.
Technically he’s supposed to live in the UA dorms part of the time. He sleeps poorly there, and goes home whenever he has the opportunity.
His house is old, but not valuable. Probably inherited. Traditional style with very few modern updates. He keeps it meticulously clean and does repairs as needed, but the age is still obvious. Everything creaks. You swear the place is haunted but won’t dare admit it aloud - he WILL laugh you out of the house.
There’s a garden but he doesn’t have time to keep it up. He has a lot of memories of the plants in full bloom. Letting it go to seed upsets him more than he lets on.
He has zero personal possessions aside from household appliances, which he meticulously researches and keeps in perfect condition.
Reads an insane amount of books. These mostly come from the library. There’s always a stack near his bed. You have no idea how he finishes them, because every time you see him with a book, he’s asleep with it on his face.
He doesn’t adopt cats so much as just leaves his doors open and lets them freely colonize the place. It’s not his house, it’s theirs. Somehow there's not a single cat hair on anything.
Most of these cats are cuddly little angels; you've never met nicer. But there’s a few beasts in the mix, with battle scars and three legs and a craving for human meat; these are Aizawa’s special favorites.
- - - - -
Dating
Falls for you when he stumbles across you taking care of one of the hideous strays he usually feeds on his route. Doesn’t approach you at first (definitely tries to hide) but the cat is like "mrrr?" and brings you over to him, giving the game away. Traitor.
Will make you pay for your half of everything, down to the last yen. So what if you’ve been together for ten years? You have your own income.
One exception to the above: he’ll never buy you presents but he WILL treat you to lavish meals in dark restaurants with hand-written menus. Don’t mistake this for romance, he just likes the quiet atmosphere and excellent service.
He cleans every day; there’s an unwritten five-dimensional schedule and that schedule is EXACT. Zero time wasted. He’ll never actually ask you to help with any of it. He’ll never directly thank you, either. But if you learn how to take over certain chores and do the daily upkeep while he’s away, he’ll love you forever.
Not the type to talk about his day; he’d rather sit with you outside. He values silence. Not because he doesn’t want to talk to you, but a lot of the time he doesn’t have the energy to give you his full conversational attention. Physical contact is easier, and more comforting besides. Just... hold his hand a while.
His scalp gets tingly and sore from overusing his quirk. If you run your fingers through his hair he will pass out instantly.
He will cozy trap you. He’s touch-starved and was definitely a cat in a past life. Will hang all over you if you don't give him enough attention and constantly falls sleep in your lap. Hope you don’t need to get up anytime soon; he’s not moving.
You don’t exactly ‘move in’ with him. He never wants to spend a night without you, but his living space is already exactly how he likes it. He will never move out of that old house, but he’ll give you some rooms to yourself. Your stuff and his... complete absence of stuff... stay pretty much separate. Do NOT clutter up the bedroom.
The kitchen is the exception. That's a warm and cozy shared spot, the heart of the home. You’ll always be stepping around a cat.
He LOVES when you cook for him (so that he doesn't have to take the time). Will shower you with praise and encourage you to make huge earthenware vats of old-timey tsukemono that the two of you cannot possibly eat by yourselves. He’ll help with food prep and knows his way around, but he insists you’re the better cook (even if you aren’t).
Big on actions over words. Makes an effort to be present with you as much as he can.
Will stare into your eyes until you look away. When you look back, he's still staring with a rare warm smile on his face.
God, he loves you. You will never, ever know how much. He doesn't tell you often, but he shows you every day.

Somnophilia???.........
ACE ACE ACE ACE
This man is A-fucking-sexual. He’s not sex repulsed in any way, he’s just not personally invested.
Aromantic too. Deadass doesn’t get the hype. You are the most important person in his life and he’s deeply commited to and comforted by you. Just don’t expect to be seduced; it will literally never happen.
If you are allosexual, he will still be devoted to your sexual well-being. At first, that means buying you a DELUXE toy and encouraging you to use it on your own.
His voice is too damn sexy, even when he isn’t trying. He’ll give you all the phone sex you want; he thinks it’s sweet how you unravel for him. Edging you for ages is a fun little power play, but he’s definitely grading papers while he does it. Don’t be offended. Toshinori has overheard some THINGS.
When your relationship gets sufficiently serious, he’ll help out with his hands. He’s VERY SKILLED AT IT. He likes to lay down next to you and whisper encouragement in your ear. Eventually he gets possessive about your orgasms, and will make you ask for permission.
Sometimes the stars align, but his arousal is a rare bird. He'll take a whole afternoon to prepare. It’s love-making, full stop. Always slow and intensely emotional. He'll cherish every inch of you but might not cum at all; you can’t force it.

Hello! I hope you're doing okay over there. Are your requests open? If so, could you do a Din x reader with the reader sketching him (the child and their special moments together) when she thinks he isn't looking, but one day he finds the sketchbook? If they're closed just ignore the request but hold on tight to the wishes of good furtune and health ♥ Stay safe!
I’m hanging in there sweet anon and I hope you’re doing okay too (okay but this is so cute omg).
Warnings: It’s really just two dorks and good ole fluff. Some of this is unedited as well
*Reminder that the forum for my taglist is still up and pinned!
__________________________________________
If he would turn slightly to the left, you’d be able to get the perfect angle you need to finish the sketch.
The helmet reflects the glare of the stars, illuminating a bright shine around the top of the beskar and stinging your eyes just a little when you look up at it. You can’t help but do it anyway. The Child is asleep, a day of actually getting to use those little feet of his wore him out - you love the little one, but you and Din have exhausted yourselves keeping up with finding him his home and protecting him at the same time; this peace and quiet right now is highly overdue.
The pencil glides easily against the paper, connecting every line to another, creating another favorite of yours; the perfect piece of art that’s sitting in front of you, unaware of the stacks of sketches that you’ve drawn silently in the whatever corner you can lurk in. To be honest, with as attentive as he is, you’re surprised he hasn’t caught on to you yet.
You’re so lost in finishing the shades that you don’t notice the Mandalorian turning slightly towards you in his seat. He watches your brows furrow in deep concentration, the light scratching in the air a comfort to him since the months of hearing it. He’s never actually seen any of your drawings, however, and he knows that one day the curiosity will get the better of him and he’ll ask... eventually.
Truth is he’s not all the sure on why he hasn’t asked you yet, despite the growing and gnawing interest with teeth that grows sharper and longer as more time goes on. And it’s not like you’ve ever brought it up, either. It’s been this unspoken thing between the two of you - a dance that’s familiar in any language; of scared love and child-like curiosity that seeps into something deeper.
That’s exactly what he’s afraid of.
It’s in this moment of sensing a pair of eyes on you - the pair of eyes you can’t see, but imagine they must be green, or brown more than anything. For a moment, you’re almost afraid to find out.
With a small intake of air you will your head to tilt up. The visor spins away so quick that it’s almost comical, and you bite your lip to suppress the giggle bubbling in your chest.
“Din,” you call his name teasingly. “Is there something you wanted?”
It’s almost too hard to hide the laughter when his helmet jolts towards you, like he’s surprised that you called him out on it.
“I -” You think you hear a gulp through the statics of the vocoder. “- I was... I was just wondering what you were drawing. I’m sorry if that makes you uncomfortable.”
Your heart skips a beat at the sincerity of his apology, and the fact that he was watching you, which has you wondering if this is a reoccurrence you’ve been blind to this entire time.
“It doesn’t,” you voice croaks. “It’s-it’s nothing really. Just the ship, whatever I see throughout the day.” You sit up, still clutching the book to your chest. “I’m going to check on the kid. Call for me if you need anything.”
When the hell did the air get so thick like this? You feel bad, so bad, and a part of you wants to desperately show him this simple thing that he just wants to look at, but... but he’ll know. One look and he’ll know.
“Okay,” the modulator cracks - you wonder what it’s masking right now, what you can’t hear through the robotic statics. “You can rest too while you’re at it. I’ll wake you when it’s time.”
You nod and awkwardly wave your departure, climbing down on wobbly legs to the hull and the cot the Child is asleep on; you’re relieved to see that he’s still bundled in his blanket, a peaceful expression gracing his features.
It’s here you feel the fatigue settling on your shoulders. The dull beating You sigh and settle inside the small space, careful of your weight and making yourself as comfortable as you can get. With the book and pencil still in hand, you decide to finish the little details of his belt.
***
Mando sighs as thoughts of you plague his mind once more.
That, and the fact that he needs to sleep at least an hour before the landing at the next destination.
He keens his ears for any sings of movements down in the hull, but when he hears nothing he climbs down to ladder in quiet, graceful strokes.
The dim light does absolute injustice to your features in his opinion. It’s the first thing he notices, not the Child is gurgling over your open sketchbook that’s sprawled out on your lap as you sleep.
“Kriff,” he curses under his breath and rushes as quietly as he can towards the bunk. He tries to keep his eyes averted of the drawings, but he can’t help it, especially when the Child pouts and slaps against the page when his hand clasps around it.
It’s... well, it’s him. He’s leaning against the wall of what he can tell is the Razor Crest based off the small details you made sure to put in - he really admires that. Down at his feet is the little one, grinning up at him. Beneath the helmet that’s shielded him from the rest of the world for almost all his life, he smiles back; orange caresses the rough paper, imagining that he can actually feel it through the lead and gloves.
The next page is of a planet he cannot name off the top of his head, but he can’t shake the feeling that it’s of home.
Each page is filled with memories; past and present etched and filled with the kind of skill and warmth that can never be replaced; promises of mystery tied in like a piece of string. Most of them towards the end are of him and the Child. Small moments, mostly, like when he fell asleep with the kid secured to his armored-less chest, and moments when it’s him, sitting in the pilot’s seat or his cape flowing behind him as he walks away to a new bounty or clue to the Child’s powers.
He recognizes them with a deep fondness that makes his head swirl with all types of emotions. Din knows what they mean, but it’s the fear. Yet each drawing - he’s on the one from hours ago - scolds each inch of doubt within him, and in this he finds a type of bravery he’s hasn’t faced much before; it makes it more terrifying to him.
“I like to draw what makes me happy.”
Your voice startles him from his thoughts. He’s never frozen up like this before - at least long ago - but now it feels like your stare alone is the only thing keeping him grounded to this spot. The doe like expression on your face the guilt that started to creep within his chest dissipates.
“I’m sorry,” he says, because he still feels that he needs to apologize. “The kid had it and I... he likes the one where he found that flower.”
You smile widely at that, looking down at the child in question as you sit up. Din silently watches you climb out from the bunk and takes a few steps back to let you lean against the cold interior.
“That’s one of my favorites, too,” you say; proudly, Din thinks. “And the one where you fell asleep in the pilot’s chair... you were so tired that day and I kept trying to get you to rest and let me take over, but you can be so stubborn sometimes, you know that?”
His chuckle radiates the room, and fuck it, it could radiate the entire galaxy. Yours join in with ease, but it quickly dies down, though not awkwardly or uncomfortably; it feels natural among the countless other laughs you’ve shared over the years.
“I um - “ you clear your throat nervously, battling with the endless fluttering of butterflies in your stomach and the shakiness in your voice. “- I guess this is a good time to say that I really like you, Din. And I’ve been drawing these sketches of as many of these moments as I can because they’re so precious to me.” You take a deep breath. “Just like the Child is. Just like you are.”
You finish with a light scoff. It’s quiet, you have to pee, and you hope to the Maker above that this isn’t how your journey with Din ends; you should really open your eyes and at least do something if he’s just going to keep standing there.
“I like you, too.”
Your eyes nearly pop out of their sockets when those words reach your ears. It feels like your heart just stopped beating, your body frozen, and your thoughts bouncing wildly around like a blaster; that crackled laugh (that you know somehow is soft) brings you back to your body, back to the man standing closer to you know and slowly reaching his hand out.
You glance at it before tracing your eyes over the worn out boots that’s seen better days, the scratched and scraped armor that you have shared more than enough time cleaning and polishing, the signet that the Mandalorian never fails to honor proudly, even in his own quiet ways; and now the helmet, the t-shaped visor that shields him.
In this you find no fear. The weight of his hand in yours settles you and the soft link of his pinky with yours brings a stinging to your eyes.
“I can’t do this alone,” he says. “And I want this to work. The Creed -”
“I know,” you interject quietly. “It’s not always going to be easy. But we got this, just like always, don’t we?”
“At least one of us has to.”
His heart warms when the loudest snort he’s ever heard you make jolts the Child from his sleep, blinking those big eyes wearily as your muffled laugher continues against your fingers. “You should get some sleep now,” you tell him. “I got this one.”
It feels very natural to lean down and pick the Child up and smile at Din with assurance; he feels the air in his lungs draw out of him until he literally starts to feel breathless, and his lips stretch in a smile - it’s small and shy; hopeful.
After he makes sure that the hull is closed off and lays his helmet by the plates of his armor (one of the rare times he actually can), settling onto the unforgiving but familiar cot, he imagines you’ll make a fuss about the scar on his nose with a pencil and book in your hands.

Listen Closer - Chapter 15
[ can't wait for Strahm to get pegged <3 we have so much more pining to get through first though ]
First || Next || Previous || Last
It took some doing, but the water box was done by the start of the next month. It was… rough figuring out how he was supposed to get Strahm into the box without needing to weld it back together on his head.
Eventually he just settled for a metal bottom that he would clip back together when it was on him. They were locked, so he couldn’t just undo them and escape. No, if he wanted to live, he would have to get hurt.
Once it was finished, he got the trap set up in one of the rooms of the packing plant, one that wasn’t currently in use. It took some doing to get it hanging and attach the pipes that would fill it with water, but he managed it with a little bit of help from Lawrence.
Next was the trap for one Ivan Landness- and, as excited as he was for it, it was going to be difficult. He couldn’t build it all together, and it had to be made with the bed it was going to be attached to in mind.
Luckily, Garrett loved a challenge.
The only problem was that he was now legally Mark’s specialist, meaning he had to be brought in for every Jigsaw case.
So that’s why he was, very unwillingly, standing over a crispy corpse.
This was one of Amanda’s traps, he remembered seeing her pack up the chains surrounding the body to bring to the room they were standing in. He’d been told that they had to burn the door open, meaning the player had no chance to escape whatsoever.
“Who do you think put this one together?” Strahm asked when he realized Garrett was there, gaining a soft, thoughtful hum from him.
“Looks like Amanda Young,” he replied, lightly kicking one of the scorched chains. “I heard the door was welded shut. He couldn’t have escaped it even if he won. He was always doomed to death.”
Was he lowkey calling Amanda out on her bullshit when she wasn’t around? Yes. He was still pissed about Kerry’s trap.
“How many of her traps have you seen?” Strahm seemed at least a little bit concerned that he could guess who it was almost immediately, but Garrett just shrugged.
He brought a hand up to his face to lightly scratch at his scar before responding. “Not many. This is a new development, to be honest. But any trap put together by Kramer is escapable, if not difficult.”
“There’s also the third unknown apprentice,” Strahm offered, and Garrett genuinely found it funny that he was talking about this mysterious third apprentice to one of the longest standing ones.
Garrett just hummed again, taking another look at the body, before looking up at the ceiling and finding more chains hanging from the ceiling.
He should probably make his sketch so he could get out of there. He found a comfy spot on the floor that gave him a good view of all the chains and got to work in his Official Work sketchbook, vaguely noting that people were staying out of his way whenever he looked up.
Man, being an actual specialist was pretty fucking cool.
“Okay, I’ve gotta head out, but give me a call if you need any clarification,” he said as he finished the sketch, ripping it out of the book and handing it over to Strahm. “Try not to find another- whoa, did this scar?” He had meant to run out of there, but he got distracted by Strahm’s hand when he reached up to grab the sketch,
Garrett immediately grabbed Strahm’s hand to check out the bite scar on it, grinning at the idea that one simple bite from one very feral man was enough to scar him.
Strahm fucking froze at the contact, and Garrett could feel his arm tense up where he was holding it. Of course, this just made him want to fuck with him.
So he put Strahm’s hand in his mouth, perfectly lined up his teeth with the scar, and gently bit down.
It wasn’t enough pressure to pierce the skin, but Garrett could feel Strahm shaking at the feeling. Garrett grinned, pulling back only to bite down on the agent’s exposed forearm, leaving him with another bleeding bite mark as he made his way out of the room, licking his lips clean of the blood.
At this point, the only way Strahm would escape his teeth is by arresting him.
Unfortunately he couldn’t go straight home. Part of being an official specialist meant that after he looked over every trap, he had to go down to the precinct to file his own report about it. Apparently that was the easiest way to ensure that no information was missed in the file.
Luckily, it was only the trap that he had to report on, nothing about the victim or anything that would lead them to Jigsaw. Just the trap. Thank god, because he straight up didn’t pay attention to crime scenes.
He did, however, have his own mini office now! It was small, but that was okay, because it had windows so he could watch everyone passing by. It was a simple and easy way to get to know people without actually talking to them.
Also having an office was fucking banger and anybody who didn’t like him before was now stuck with him.
Upon arriving at his little office (he had his own keycard to get into this part of the building now- a keycard! He was growing too powerful) he immediately tossed his bag onto the ground and started up his computer, as well as grabbing the blank form he had to fill out every time he looked at a trap.
Apparently, they liked to have a physical record as well as a digital one. This was very unfortunate for Garrett, because he hated doing the same thing twice, and he hated waiting for photos of the trap too.
To distract himself from how much he hated paperwork, he got to work on the paperwork. He started with the physical copy first, just because it would be easier to type it word for word and not worry about losing what he’d already written.
He was just about to start on the digital copy when there was a knock on his door. “You better have my photos,” Garrett said when he noticed who it was, and Strahm took that as his invitation to come in.
His arms were completely covered now, probably to hide the fresh mark Garrett left him with. That made him smirk a little, before sticking his hand out and making the grabby hand motion at him so he’d hand over the photos.
Once they were in his grasp, he immediately took out a sharpie and began to label the parts of the trap. He was allowed to do this solely because they made extra copies separate to the ones he used.
“How’s your arm doing?” Garrett asked, keeping his focus on his work but also incredibly aware that Strahm was just standing there. At the promise of conversation, Strahm finally sat down.
“Did you have to do that? Like, really?” Strahm replied, and Garrett could vaguely see him reach up to loosen his tie, even undoing a few of the buttons on his shirt.
“Yes, I did,” Garrett responded without a moment’s hesitation, flipping to the next photo he needed to label. “I’m not sorry for scarring you, by the way. I’d only known you for, like, an hour and it freaked me out.”
Strahm just hummed, a sort of non-verbal way of saying he understood. Garrett flipped to the next, and last, photo and finished up his labelling, moving back to the computer to finish the digital version of the report.
There was an awkward silence- well, awkward on Strahm’s end. He clearly had something he wanted to ask, but was seemingly afraid of doing. Garrett, on the other hand, was just vibing.
And finally, he asked his burning question. “Do you think Hoffman is Jigsaw?”
Holy SHIT.
Garrett almost choked and the suddenness, suddenly very grateful that Strahm couldn’t see him behind his monitor. Did he… really just ask… if he thought his boyfriend was Jigsaw…?
He wasn’t sure whether to tell him straight up that they were both Jigsaw, or fuck him on the spot for being a fucking idiot.
After a moment of deliberation, he decided he was going to give him another gay panic attack. “Why would I think that? I live with him, I think I would have noticed if he was running off to play Jigsaw.”
Strahm tensed up a little at that, apparently not having processed that Garrett and Mark weren’t just… hanging out when he showed up to check on him after he left the hospital.
“I know it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but there’s just- I don’t know how to describe it, it’s just how he acts with Jigsaw cases and how he’s one of the only members of the task force left-”
He was rambling now, giving Garrett ample time to get up from his desk, walk around it, and plant himself behind Strahm’s chair. When he placed his hands on the back of it, his knuckles brushing against the agent’s back, that was when he shut up, freezing suddenly.
Garrett took his chance, leaning down until he was right next to Strahm’s ear. “You shouldn’t worry yourself with that sort of thing, Special Agent,” he whispered, noticing a minute shiver from Strahm at the feeling of warm breath against his neck. “We know who Jigsaw is. And I would tell you if I suspected Detective Hoffman.”
His hands had moved to Strahm’s shoulders, one toying with the collar of his shirt and the other messing with the top most button.
Strahm was so easy to rile up. Garrett could tell he was trying not to make a sound.
“But… you’ll keep me updated on this theory of yours, yes?” he asked, and Strahm stiffly nodded. Garrett smiled, leaning close enough that his lips brushed against Strahm’s neck. “Good boy.”
He pressed a kiss to Strahm’s neck, trailing his tongue over the spot before biting down gently- still hard enough to leave a mark, but not enough to bleed-, and then pulling away and sitting back down at his desk. “Could you take this up to Mark for me?” he asked, holding the file out to Strahm, who was flushed down to his neck.
The agent stood up quickly, grabbed the file, and left without another word.
Yeah, Garrett could use this attraction. Besides, it made working with him so much more fun.

----------------------------------------------
As the minute hand drew onto the 45-minute mark, the teacher in the front of their little class of twenty people glanced up, casting the group a smile.
“That’s it for today then. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me now or come to my office later. And don’t forget, your portfolios are due at the end of the semester.”
It was only just November, which meant that Maya had until March, but nonetheless, her teacher’s words were a reminder that she should probably get started. The requirement was showing off different traditional media and while there were some that came to her more easily – she loved working with watercolors more than anything – there were others she still had to practice with to feel more confident.
And so, casting a short glance outside and shuddering lightly at the sight of the pale grey sky that looked like incoming snow, she headed into the library, bag over her shoulder, sketchbook under her arm. She might as well start practicing some pencil sketches now; she could refine some with charcoal, colored pencils, or just shade them otherwise. Maybe she’d find some inspiration.
As she had expected, it was quiet, something that she always found rather soothing about being here. Soft footsteps announced presence her as she made her way to a table in the back of the study room, settling down and trying to make as little noise as possible. She retrieved a small leather case, which held different pencils, pens and other general sketching supplies, then moved her sketchbook onto her lap, vivid blue eyes trailing around the room for something that might make her hands itch to sketch.
When they had nearly come full circle, she noticed a figure, huddled into a corner, head tilted back a little. Even with the dark strands falling partially into his face, she could make out his features.
‘Wow… he looks really good.’
Absently, the brunette bit her lip, leaning forward a bit in her seat as her fingers moved through the pages until she found one that was still empty.
She had hoped to find inspiration, but really, it seemed as if inspiration had found her instead.
Her normally light brown braids were dangling against the paper, which explained the blotches of color in them considering her preferred medium.
Slender fingers on small hands drew the pencil over the page in her sketchbook with trained movements. A gesture first, getting down the general shape of the figure in front of her, vague, guidelines. Then, details, fleshing out his pose and body, the slight tug of fabric in parts of his attire that hinted towards him being at least somewhat muscular. His hands, which looked a little roughened, as if he worked with them often, one of them dangling limply just past his knee, the other propping up his face just above his nose.
And finally, her gaze wandered to his face, biting down on her bottom lip harder as she focused on this. The angular line of his jaw, the slight tilt of his lips, the serenity of his expression.
Just as she was sketching in more detail for his hair, she noticed a shift, more than the simple tremble of breathing.
Dark, reddish eyes were looking at her and she could feel her pale face heat up, eyes widening in shock. For a moment, he seemed confused, still in a state of waking and she took her chance, tearing the sketch from her book and thrusting it against his chest.
“Wha-…”
“I’msosorryherekeepit.”
Her words came out in one breath before she hastily grabbed her things, clutching her sketchbook closer and rushing out of the library in a half panic.
The male seemed to need another few seconds to fully wake, hands shifting to grab the paper that had been forced onto him and glancing down, surprised to see himself caught on it, in soft, elegant lines thinly sketched with a pencil.
While he hadn’t remembered all aspects the strange girl’s appearance, a few things had stuck. Blue eyes and specks of color in her hair, her braids mostly. Then that look of shock, but she had run out before he had been able to fully commit her face to memory.
This wouldn’t do…
He let out a small sigh, stretching carefully, joints cracking as they slipped back into their proper places. He moved the picture into one of his textbooks, placing it gingerly between the pages so it wouldn’t get crumpled.
His mind had immediately jumped to the one person he was sure would be able to tell him more about the mysterious artist.
He just had to find her.
There were a few places she would spend her time outside of class, but the problem was that he never quite knew when she was or wasn’t in class and truthfully, waiting until the weekend, when he would definitely see her, seemed too far away right now.
Reaching into the front pocket of his dark jeans, he retrieved his phone, fingers quickly moving across the keys on screen before sending off a message.
He didn’t have to wait long to notice a familiar, dark-haired woman enter the library and make her way towards him. Her hair gave off a blue shimmer against the light and violet eyes, no doubt contacts, stood out against her porcelain skin.
Felyx wasn’t surprised to see her draw some looks from other students in the library, who glanced up from whatever they were doing a little too long, but either she didn’t notice or didn’t care.
“You called?”
Her lips curled into a small, though curious smile and she sat down on the table, legs crossed over the edge of the table.
“Here.”
He handed her the sketch, brow furrowed slightly. “You study art… any idea who made this?”
The female’s eyes scanned across the pencil lines, then moved back up to meet his red ones. “I’d recognize those lines anywhere. That looks like one of Maya’s sketches. She specializes in watercolors… Is that… wow.”
“I’m guessing she was sketching me while I was asleep because she left me with this and ran away when I woke up.”
Mosune laughed, a soft, melodic sound.
“I don’t think she was expecting you to wake up. Anyway, we have class together again on Thursday. So that’s three days from now. Room 104, in the back building. Class ends at noon; the teacher always finishes on time. You should be able to catch her then.”
“You’re a lifesaver.”
“I know.” She smiled at him and got to her feet again elegantly. “I’ll see you soon. You owe me.”
“I know.” He cast her a smirk and watched her leave before sinking back down against the wall, in the same spot he’d slept in. His eyes trailed over the sketch, taking in every little detail. It was amazing how well she had captured him… and he hadn’t even noticed her watching him.
For the rest of the day and the entire next day, Maya found herself glancing around a lot more often, as if worried that the male might be waiting for her somewhere. To what? Complain that she had stalked him?
God… she must have seemed like such a creep.
But by the time Thursday came, she had pushed the event to the back of her mind, focused on other things. Their morning class was a practical one, working with acrylics on canvas.
She chose an easel next to a familiar face, smiling at the girl with the violet eyes.
“Hey Mosune.”
“Hi.”
The other smiled right back at her, pinning her raven hair up in a bun.
“Any idea what they want us to paint today?”
“A still life or something.” Maya frowned ever so slightly. “Seems a bit boring, don’t you think?”
“I’m sure today’s gonna end up less boring than you think.” Mosune replied, smiling back at her.
Throughout their painting assignment, the two continued to talk, until finally, the teacher ended their class, giving them time to clean their workspaces and palettes.
It was noon by the time they made their way out of the classroom and Maya found herself greeted by the familiar but unexpected sight of the boy she’d drawn in the library a few days ago. He was moving fast towards her too, holding a frame in his hands and handing it to her as he approached.
“Here. You should keep this, it’s really good.” He cast her a small smirk and she felt the familiar warmth threaten to creep into her cheeks.
“T-thanks.”
She took the frame, holding it so the picture was concealed from view by a few classmates curiously moving past the two of them. Mosune seemed almost amused by this exchange, Maya noticed.
“Maybe I’ll see you soon.” And with that, he took his leave, leaving behind a somewhat confused brunette and her amused friend.
“Is that the guy you mentioned? Looks like he even framed it for you.”
Maya nodded, head lowering a bit to hide her burning cheeks.
“God this is so embarrassing.” She muttered under her breath. “Don’t tell anyone, alright?”
“Of course not.” Mosune promised, smiling, and drawing an arm around her friend’s shoulder.
The moment she got home; Maya hung the framed picture up on the wall of her dorm.
But it wasn’t until nearly two weeks later that a completely random event brought her to pay more attention to it than usual.
Distracted from trying to find something, she tripped over her bag, bumping heavily against the wall. The impact knocked the frame down and it shattered, leaving the sketch to slip beneath her bed. She crawled down to get it and when she did, she noticed something on the back of it.
“Is that…”
A phone number.
So that was why he had spoken about hoping to see her again.
Once she had cleaned up, she retrieved her phone, quickly typing in a message to the not quite so unknown number.
“Hi! Looks like you hid this a bit better than you probably thought. I’d love to meet up, maybe for coffee? The girl with the sketchbook.”
Her attention shifted back to the sketch and a thought formed in her mind as she spread it carefully onto her desk across a layer of newspaper, grabbing her watercolors.
Without even having to think, her hands drew across the paper, adding color to the pencil lines, even without having to see him. His face was ingrained in the back of her head.
It took her about two hours to finish the sketch and only then did she check her phone to see that he had replied.
“Sure!
How does tomorrow afternoon sound? I’ll meet you at the Corner Cup?”
She sent him a quick answer, setting the time at 2 PM, then laid the picture down to dry. Time couldn’t pass fast enough and by the time the next day had arrived, Maya was more excited than she dared to admit.
As her fingers nimbly worked to put the familiar two braids into her hair, her eyes moved back to the now finished painting. She would take it with her, give it to him. And hopefully, he would accept it. A small, tiny voice in her head muttered about how it was a shame; that the painting would look amazing in her portfolio, but she silenced it. No, this would be better.

𝑪𝑯𝑨𝑹𝑨𝑪𝑻𝑬𝑹 𝑺𝑯𝑬𝑬𝑻.
repost, don’t reblog

basics !
FULL NAME. August Wesley Wilder NICKNAME. Gus. Gus the Grizzly. GENDER. Cis-Male (He/Him) HEIGHT. 6′9 AGE. unknown, physically appears around 55-60 years old. ZODIAC. taurus sun / libra moon / virgo rising. earth sign dominant chart babey!! SPOKEN LANGUAGES. fluent English, Spanish, and French. has picked up a little Dakota-Siouan from frequent run-ins with the Ghost Nation over the years. he’s not really fluent in it, just knows enough to talk himself out of trouble lmao.
physical characteristics !
HAIR COLOR. salt and pepper grey, with natural black undertones. EYE COLOR. light hazel that fade to a deep forest green around the edge of the iris (central heterochromia) in both eyes. SKIN TONE. he’s white but he’s very sun-weathered and darkly tanned, with lots of sun spots and freckles all over his body. BODY TYPE. broad, big, bold and bear-ish. just the dictionary definition of a Gentle Giant. well, mostly gentle unless pushed. ACCENT. southern appalachian drawl. VOICE. deep, husky, and gravelly yet nothing short of soothing. his voice claim is Colter Wall. DOMINANT HAND. he’s ambidextrous! POSTURE. Gus is always generally seen standing tall and proud. he’s definitely a man who’s comfortable in his body, and the stark juxtaposition of his formidable physique and utterly gentle nature often catches the townsfolk and westworld guests by surprise. SCARS. deep, jagged scars that run diagonally across his back and over his biceps. supposedly a bear gave him the scars when he fought one off a young boy. in reality, he fought a guest off one of the teenage hosts in one of his first loops, and said guest struck August down with a searing hot fire poker from his forge while the young android ran for safety. that was the first and last time Gus was ever killed during his loop, and he has rarely been updated since. TATTOOS. he has some beautifully intricate tattoo sleeves on both arms, each image representing one of his favorite western tall tales that he often retells to his forge guests (especially crowds of kids). Gus actually gave himself the tattoos to hide the scars on his arms (the ones he could reach anyway), and the westworld writers never corrected the feature since they found them aesthetically pleasing and appropriate for his host role as both a blacksmith and self-proclaimed cultural mythologist / historian of the town. MOST NOTICEABLE FEATURE(S). we stan a sweet old android with dimples and laugh lines. and those bright eyes of his visibly twinkle when he smiles!
childhood !
PLACE OF BIRTH. Technically? The Westworld Mesa Hub. But for his written backstory, his birthplace is unknown. HOMETOWN. Hinton, West Virginia. a small railroad and coal town that sits at the edge of the New River in the Appalachian Mountains. when Gus was a boy, the town was essentially split between “trash” and “old money”. Gus came from the run-down side of the tracks, raised as a laboring blacksmith’s son, but he had a happy childhood. FIRST WORDS. “god dammit” after hearing his father shout it when he struck his thumb with a hammer. Almanzo found it hilarious, but also spent days trying to get the baby to say something else, ANYTHING else because the town population at the time was made of a few hundred southern baptists. suffice to say, Almanzo’s efforts were fruitless, and little baby August shouted it to the world in the middle of that sunday’s church service. his hometown community loved him dearly, but he’d always been labeled a little troublemaker ever since. and he was quite the prankster in his youth. all harmless of course. Gus hardly has a cruel bone in his body, but won his peer’s attentions and affections by being a bit of a class clown. SIBLINGS. none that he knows of. PARENTS. Almanzo “Manny” Wilder. should be noted that Almanzo is not August’s biological father. Gus was dropped at the door of his forge as a baby, and the identity of August’s biological family remains a complete mystery to both him and his caretaker. Almanzo played himself off as his biological dad for some time, but once Gus shot up to be about twice his old man’s size at age fifteen, well. he kind of figured it out on his own. he never resented Manny for it, though. in his mind, he is his real father. his only father. since he was the only one who was ever there for him. PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT. Almanzo was a very attentive surrogate father and loved Gus with everything he had. Gus always had a sharp mind and vivid imagination as a kid, and Manny told him time and time again that his brain was far too big for a place like Hinton, always urging him to apply to those fancy universities along the coast or over in England and become a novelist or engineer. August looked up to his father however, and wanted to grow up to be just like him, and therefore was not only Almanzo’s child, but also his apprentice. He stayed in Hinton until Manny died from lung cancer, and by which August was about 25 years old or so and a freshly professional smith. He took over the family business, sought to pave his own way out west, and has been tending to the needs of the people in Sweetwater ever since.
adult life !
OCCUPATION. a blacksmith and self-proclaimed “cultural mythologist”. fancy way of saying he really loves to wow kids with the tall tales of the west. CURRENT RESIDENCE. his forge that sits on the edge of town. CLOSE FRIENDS. well he spends a lot of time with his two pets, Teddy Bear and Sundance Kid. they’re about the closest friends he has. oh he cares about the other hosts of Sweetwater, dearly! and he craves human connection something fierce. but his work (and his emotional walls) keeps him a bit too busy to really... dive deep in any of those friendships. sadly. RELATIONSHIP STATUS. single, although was married to @forgedwest in a past loop. FINANCIAL STATUS. he’s definitely not filthy rich, but growing up poor taught him to be good with his money and while he doesn’t have a luxurious life by any means, he has all he needs. lower class but not at all bothered by it. DRIVER’S LICENSE. N/A. CRIMINAL RECORD. a few bar fights, but he was never guilty of starting them. just ending them. VICES. if you ask August, he’ll say he sleeps in just a little too long on Sunday mornings, rolling and smoking hashish to unwind. if you ask me, i say don’t buy him more than three amaretto sours if you wanna have a drink with him. he can generally control himself and hold his liquor, but he can get to a point where he won’t stop lmao. luckily, he’s a happy drunk. also enjoys cigars, but smokes them more for celebration of special occasions.
sex and romance !
SEXUAL ORIENTATION. bisexual ROMANTIC ORIENTATION. biromantic PREFERRED EMOTIONAL ROLE. submissive | dominant | switch PREFERRED SEXUAL ROLE. Submissive | dominant | switch ( he’s primarily a service top ) LIBIDO. average, i guess? i wouldn’t say his libido is anything insane, otherwise he’d REALLY be suffering being the lonely bachelor he is lmao. but he likes sex! TURN ONS. he loves a good sense of humor and has a weak spot for well-meaning troublemakers TURN OFFS. people who take advantage of others. that’s a broad category, but it’s a personal thing. LOVE LANGUAGE. gift-giving, physical intimacy, protection and quality time! he’s not so good at expressing his feelings with words, but you will absolutely know if he fancies you because his actions will show it. you will NEVER wonder about his intentions. the old boy wears his heart on his sleeve. RELATIONSHIP TENDENCIES. despite how obviously loving he is, August has a tendency to assume people don’t want to be with him. one could argue it’s likely rooted in an abandonment issue of some kind. Almanzo was a plenty attentive and very caring dad, but the knowledge that one was orphaned and dropped off on someone’s front step is would be a little jarring when just about anyone hears it. though it’s likely less so much that, and more so how his peers in school were downright TERRIFIED him just because of his intimidating physique alone (despite his kind nature). he was taken advantage of a lot in his youth due to just how naturally people pleasing he can be to compensate for his scary appearance, and his kindness was therefore mistaken often for stupidity. its a compulsion that he’s gotten better about controlling as he grew older, and is now much more discerning re: who deserves the clothes off his back. but little insecurities regarding it remains, and as such his assumption that no one harbors affections for him has become a self-fulfilling prophecy. August is very sweet and outgoing, plenty handsome, great with kids and would make a very loving husband and lifetime best friend! but he doesn’t exactly make himself romantically available.
miscellaneous !
CHARACTER’S THEME SONG. “ take me home, country roads ” by john denver. shocker, i know. HOBBIES TO PASS TIME. he’s a blacksmith by occupation, but August can make just about anything with any material you can think of. he’s a jack of all trades type, and spends a lot of his rare spare time gardening, sketching while he’s people-watching, writing stories, blowing glass, and creating little animals and character figurines from his stories out of hide / wood/ metal. the latter are gifts that he gives to any young park guests who come to the forge. he also likes playing his guitar or banjo and singing to himself on warm summer nights. MENTAL ILLNESSES. i mean. everything truly traumatic that ever happened to him was basically wiped clean from his slate so u kno. none. for now lmfao. PHYSICAL ILLNESSES. N/A. LEFT OR RIGHT BRAINED. right-brained, i guess. he can be plenty logical, but he’s definitely a creative type! FEARS. there is a Vague Fear that he will die alone but it’s not pertinent enough to cause him a lot of anxiety. because he’s generally pretty independent. more so, it’s just a source of intense longing when he’s got a crush, but then he never actually acts on it. also, he’s got a bit of a fear of vulnerability. mostly because his kindness has been used against him plenty and no, it has not made him any less kind, but he doesn’t want that kindness tied into real emotional potency and then turned against him. vulnerability and intimacy also come with the pre-conceived knowledge of loss, because relationships ( be they romantic, friendships, family etc ) either end in break ups or death. and yes, it’s better to have loved and lost than never loved at all, but that doesn’t make August’s unease re: loss any less real. SELF CONFIDENCE LEVEL. hmmm. i’ll say about an 6 or 7 out of 10? he’s plenty sure of himself and his abilities, he just keeps himself humble like the well-mannered mountain boy he is. VULNERABILITIES. best way to hurt him is to strike anyone close to him. cares WAY MORE about others. though on a kind of....emotional note? personal note? idk. he’s quite aware of how he’s perceived to be a bit “simple-minded” all due to his accent. it’s something that Gus will get defensive about if you poke at him for it. not out of pride, but out of love for the people and culture from where he hails. he LOVES Appalachia deeply, and while he admires the west for all of its available adventure and promise, the people of the Blue Ridge Mountains remain the kindest he’s ever known. don’t talk bad about them, he’ll be quick to knock you into next tuesday.

Bloody Pen | Wooyoung Serial Killer AU Chapter 4
For the Love of Art
As Hongjoong turned his back and left to question the officers, he was unfortunately unaware of the smirk on Wooyoung’s face. Wooyoung released the breath he held in and curled his fingers. The tension in his body relaxed.
He couldn’t help but let out a small laugh. No one would suspect him.
There was no doubt Hongjoong was smart from the various cases that Wooyoung had worked with him. But... it was also quite easy to manipulate logic. It was easy to fabricate the old trio tale of “motive, means, and opportunity”. After all, the best way to tell a lie was to tell parts of the truth.
Wooyoung was honest and truthful as long as the case didn’t involve himself. If it did involve himself, who would suspect a person helping out with the investigation? Especially one who had helped solve many cases for a long time. No one. No one could ever guess, not even fathom with the idea that he himself had tampered with the evidence.
Wooyoung took a few steps back to admired his handiwork. It was actually the first time he had killed in such a meticulous way.
And he found it... much, much more fulfilling. More gratifying.
Usually, he’d use a knife. A simple slash to the throat or a few stabs to the abdomen would always do the trick. Strangulation was nice occasionally. Guns weren’t the most interesting weapon. It killed too quickly, but he sometimes used it.
This time Wooyoung had planned it out only minutes after drugging the victim. He had only 8-10 hours before it died from hanging upside down. As soon as it woke up, the fun began.
Since it was hanging upside down, the blood would rush to it’s head and keep it awake. There would be no chance to faint from the pain. Wooyoung slowly dragged it out; cutting, slicing, and slashing into the flesh. It was satisfying hearing the screams, begs and cries. And the final blow, the thing’s eyes popping out of it’s head and gurgling as he cut into the neck. The light leaving its eyes as the blood gushed out and flowed down.
But, it wasn’t just more fun. This kill was also special. It would be the first murder in the project he proudly titled, Bloody Pen. Inspired by you and in dedication to you.
A gift for you, his lovely muse.
He remembered what you had shown him on the second date. Your new book would be about a serial killer whose trademark would be riddles and puzzles.
As he read your words and spent time with you, he couldn’t help but feel something familiar in you. A kindred soul? Just like how you enjoyed writing stories of crime, Wooyoung enjoyed orchestrating a story with each kill he made to pin it on someone else.
Gang related violence. Domestic abuse. An accident. Out of defense. Suicide. Overdose. Poisoning. A drunkard killing their significant other. A crime of passion where one killed out of a fit of rage. Revenge. Jealousy. Greed.
Each kill had their own small details that made it a unique story. And this time, he would weave in your story. He’d end this theme after the fourth or fifth one and continue after sometime.
Indeed, he was having more fun than usual. But, he’d get caught after a while. It was the mistake of many murderers to unconsciously establish a repeated pattern.
Wooyoung hummed as he sealed up each piece of evidence in their proper containers. His job was done. Now, he only needed to transport it all to the forensic center. Another would come by soon to properly preserve and transport the body to the lab later.
Thankfully, Wooyoung wouldn’t have to do any extra work with tampering. The rain from two days ago had diluted and erased all of his traces.
He whistled a cheerful tune as he walked to his vehicle. After dropping the evidence off, he went home and slept peacefully till the alarm clock rang.
The sky was clear. The sun was bright. The birds were singing. Another day. Another kill. Another day he got away scot-free.
As he ate lunch, he hummed as he flipped open the pages to your second book. He only had read the brief summary on the back, but he was already hooked by the premise. In fact, it was inspiration for the next kill.
A serial killer who turned all of their lovers into dolls to keep them company.
In one hand he held a pencil, outlining and sketching the plan out onto his notebook.
Salt. Baking powder... He stopped. Huh, he’d have to do a little bit of his own research into this.
Ping!
He picked up the phone and your name popped up.
My apartment at 1? For help, if you’re not busy please? ^^ I’ll text you my address.
Wooyoung paused, contemplating to himself. He’d most likely be called back to the lab around 3-4 pm. Then again, just two to three hours with you sounded nice.
You bit your lips as you waited for a reply. Hopefully, you weren’t being too annoying. You jumped in your seat as a text came in.
Only for a few hours. Then I gotta work orz
Yes! You quickly sent your address and slumped against the couch. Closing your eyes and enjoying this small moment of happiness—Wait. Your eyes snapped open and looked around your apartment.
It was trash. Utter trash from your laziness to clean up. You also looked like trash with your messy appearance and your rats nest of a hair. And... you only had an hour left till 1.
You immediately rushed: picking up whatever you could into the recycle or trash can, dusting, and sweeping the floor. You glanced at the clock. 5 minutes left. You threw on whatever looked nice enough.
A ring and a few knocks had you running to the door. You smoothed over your hair once more and opened the door. And there stood Wooyoung with his usual bright smile. Your eyes glanced down to his hand. An envelope? He handed it to you and you took it with a questioning look in your eyes.
“The diagrams you wanted,” he explained. “I drew up how different types of wounds looked. I even have bullet points on the back to describe each one. You like it?”
At those words, you practically ripped the top of the envelope off. You slid the papers out and carefully went through it all.
It was bloody. It was disgusting. It was gory with its details.
“I... I love it,” you whispered as your fingertips stroked the papers. You clutched the diagrams close to your chest. Pulling all nighters just to search up the most minuscule of details were practically over. You had Wooyoung now.
“Please marry me.”
Your eyes widened and you covered your mouth. Why did you say that? You peeked up to see him equally surprised before his face had formed the smuggest grin you had ever seen in your life.
He was enjoying this.
“I, uh, I mean...” you fidgeted under his gaze.
Why? You screeched in your head. You wanted to crawl into a ditch. You wanted to curl into a ball and never see the light of day again.
But, Wooyoung was already here in front of you. There was no escaping embarrassment.
You were snapped out of your dazed state when you felt his hand stroking the top of your head. You flushed under his attention.
“Baby steps,” Wooyoung drawled with the ever present smirk on his face. “But I wouldn’t mind marrying you—“
Before he could say any more, you stepped back and flailed your arms. Heat rose to your cheeks. “Do you wanna just come in!?” You squawked.
Wooyoung chuckled and took his shoes off as he stepped in. Your reactions were honestly adorable.
The apartment felt warm and welcoming with cozy simplicity. He sat down on the couch and looked up to where you still stood trying to calm down. He tilted his head. “Are you not joining me?” He asked with a slightly teasing tone. “I can’t help you if you’re all the way over there.”
Right! You scurried to take a seat beside him and flipped open your notepad.
“Tell me exactly how to make the deaths more interesting.”
Wooyoung began, “First of all, I noticed the way you write deaths are either vague or not descriptive enough. You might as well just be saying ‘He stabbed her and she died’. Which isn’t wrong, but that’s also really boring.”
You grumbled with a pout, “Well, it’s not like I could Google this up. Literally, no website goes into detail on this kind of stuff.”
You were dedicated to having as much accuracy as possible. Which was why details were the most agonizing thing to write. Most of the time on the Internet, you could not find it. Either turning up with a vague answer or a blank result. As much as you hated it, you couldn’t dwell on it because it would take forever and you’d probably die before publishing anything. You could only continue on. But now, it was becoming a glaring problem that needed to be fixed.
“Well.” Wooyoung smiled. “You have me for that now.” He wrapped an arm over your shoulder causing your heart to beat faster. “Secondly, how does the killer feel?”
You blinked. “How does the killer feel?” You repeated.
Wooyoung nodded. “When people are reading about serial killers, they’re interested in how a person can be so warped. They hang on to every word. What they think. What they feel.” He gestured to your notepad. “With that in mind, try rewriting your first death scene in the manuscript.”
You pressed the pen against your pursed lips. You ran back and forth to get your manuscript for reference. After minutes of thinking, you wrote it down, occasionally drawing a line through a sentence and scribbling out some words. You handed the notepad to Wooyoung and fidgeted with your fingers.
“Better now?” You looked at him, trying to assess his reaction.
He scanned the small passage. His eyes and mouth was wide. Shivers went up Wooyoung’s spine. He could feel goosebumps rise up on his skin. His breath was taken away.
The room was dimly lit and dead silent. She was strapped to the table. Her mouth stuffed with cloth, her eyes bulging out. I studied my toolbox. Yes, the scalpel would do. A smile crept on my face as I caressed the blade. Her flesh was calling for me. Her fearful face reflected onto the blade before I cut a perfect chunk of flesh out.
He lowered his head, so you couldn’t see his face. He gritted his teeth and bit his lip. The tapping of his leg grew more agitated. It took every fiber of his being to hold his blood lust in. He finally took a deep breath, relaxed and exhaled.
You were incredible.
“Much, much better,” Wooyoung breathed out as he handed the notepad back to you. “I actually felt chills.”
“Yes! Progress!” You screamed. You tackled him, wrapping your arms around Wooyoung and resting your head against his chest. “I love you. I mean—” You quickly corrected yourself. “I love how you’re helping me. Not that I don’t love you, but like it’s way too early to say that when we’ve only known each other for a few weeks and...”
He chuckled hearing your rambles and stroked your head. You really were like a puppy learning new tricks for treats and affection. Your adorableness was such a sharp contrast to the small dark passage you had just written. Honestly, if he hadn’t known you, he would’ve thought you were the same as him.
You released him and cleared your throat. “Anyways, what else could I do to improve?” You asked.
“Not any other obvious thing I can think of.” Wooyoung put his hand to his chin and nodded. “Yeah. Your only real problems was around the deaths. You have the backstory, the motive, the mystery. And now, you have a better idea to write out deaths and you have me for details to spice it up.” He smiled and patted your head. “You’re doing a great job.”
A giggle bubbled from your throat at the praise and affection. You looked at the clock, surprised to see that it had already been past 2 pm. Did time really past that quickly?
It suddenly then dawned on you, you didn’t really know much about him. Other than his profession, you didn’t know why he was in it. Nor did you know his interests. You didn’t know anything about him personally. Wooyoung had work soon, didn’t he? Maybe you could get to know him a bit more in the little time you had left.
“Why did you decide to do forensics?” You felt Wooyoung jump up a little and he stared at you in surprise. “Um, did I accidentally ask a personal question?”
He blinked a few times before replying softly, “No... I’m just surprised you’re interested in me enough to ask. You really want to know more about me?”
“Of course.” Why didn’t he think you would be? You were slightly confused but you brushed it off.
He finally answered your question. “I was always interested in the human body. How it moved. How it functioned. The anatomy. I did so well and had such a knack for biology that a teacher told me I should try out forensics.”
“I see. Don’t answer if you don’t want to, but can you tell me about your family?”
Wooyoung frowned. Family? He looked down at his feet and back at you. His eyes widened.
What?
He stared at you. Flashes of her face merged with yours. No. She was dead. You weren’t her. Sweat beaded his forehead. His body trembled. His breath stuttered. His throat tightened. Why was it getting hard to breathe? He clenched his fist, digging his nails into his palm.
A gentle warm grasp of his hand snatched him out of his state and his eyes snapped to your alarmed eyes.
You rubbed your thumb on his clenched fist. “Are you okay?” You softly asked.
Wooyoung quickly stood up. He had to leave.
“I... I think I need to go out for a bit,” he faintly said. “Get a clear head before working.”
Without a word, Wooyoung went straight for the door. Just as he was about to step out, he almost jumped feeling your warm hand grabbing onto his arm. He turned to meet your soft, concerned eyes.
Why did those soft eyes and your warm touch start to feel so familiar now?
“I’m here for you whenever you need some comfort, you know?”
Wooyoung numbly nodded and you stared as he ran off. You groaned as he finally left your sight. Thoughts swirled through your mind as you closed the door.
You cursed yourself. Way to go me. You royally have screwed up now.
Hopefully, this didn’t change anything between you two. You’d hate to lose him because of this.
You would have to apologize to him later. For now, you’d give him some space unless he came to you first.

WKM - Headcanons, Theories, and Confusion.
The text below is a series of headcanons, theories, and questions about the Who Killed Markiplier? (WKM) series. If you’re curious, it would mean the world to me for you to continue reading my post by clicking “Keep Reading”. Thank you regardless of your decision! Hopefully we can get @markiplier to see this, so reblog to help out!
Seriously though, there’s some juicy stuff in here. It would mean everything for you to check it out. I’m mentioning that fact again because I’m very passionate about this. I didn’t sit on my ass for two and a half hours straight typing this for no one to pay attention to it!
(Sources for videos/resources have been provided with links)
From the livestream, we actually now know a lot more things about WKM and its characters than ever before, but of course…there’s still plenty of questions that have gone unanswered (despite them being very simple questions).
But before I get into the questions, I want to go over some headcanons and my theories, which I deem very likely. (Not out of ego or anything, but just because Mark has mentioned/implied these theories and comments). I will save the questions for the final notion of this post. Thank you again to anyone reading! And special thanks to Mark if he just so happens to read this. __________
First off:
Some things to know! (these have all been confirmed by Mark and the teamiplier crew in the livestream):
-Mark, Mayor Damien, and the Colonel have been friends since they were kids.
-Mark and the Detective have been friends for a long time, but Damien and William (the Colonel) didn’t know of the Detective.
-Mark hired the Detective kind of as an investigative body guard. He hired him to keep things in check and to look into anything mysterious. Over time, they became friends.
-Damien was the only one who REALLY cared about everyone and what was happening. He viewed Mark as a true friend, and was genuinely distraught from his death. The Detective is the second most one who took this all to heart.
-Mark and Celine were married and lived together in the house for a while, but eventually Celine and the Colonel ran off together, leaving Mark alone in the house (for a long time).
-Celine and Damien are brother and sister (Mark didn’t necessarily confirm this; he just said that this was an idea he was heavily leaning towards, and that it is technically up to interpretation. However, Mark confirmed that they have NO romantic relationship whatsoever).
-The Chef and the Groundskeeper (who are good friends) have been living at/in the house for years; the Groundskeeper had been living there the longest, even before Mark showed up.
-The broken bottle in the cellar has a backstory: (this took place during the events of WKM) Mark brought William down into the cellar to settle things, but in actuality, it was all apart of Mark’s plan to get back at the Colonel for taking his wife (that’s how Mark sees it. Celine ran off with William on her own accord though) He offered William alcoholic drinks, getting him completely drunk while Mark stayed totally sober. Mark then offered to play Russian Roulette, putting one bullet in the Colonel’s gun. Mark pointed the gun at William and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not shoot. Mark then gave the gun to William, saying something along the lines of “There, now you can shoot me, and if it doesn’t kill me, we can put our anger behind us and become friends again. I can forget that you ran off with my wife, and you can forget that I was ever angry with you”. The Colonel hesitated, but he agreed, proceeding to shoot Mark and kill him. William, of course, freaked out and frantically hid the evidence, quickly cleaning everything up. That’s why he was avoiding everyone, including Damien, and that’s why he said that all of this was an accident. Mark…planned for this. He wanted the Colonel to kill him; it was all apart of his plan for revenge.
-Mark is just a heartbroken idiot, and his original plan doesn’t go exactly accordingly.
-Mark is the one who stabbed himself 37 times, drowned himself, beat himself, and poisoned himself. Mark (the real one. The one discussing the livestream—so not the character of Markiplier) said that (character) Mark was once trying to commit suicide, because his friend “stole” his wife and betrayed him.
-Mark took control of Damien’s body to rid himself of his original body, which was absolutely fucked up (His original body was…y'know: stabbed 37 times, beaten, poisoned, etc.). Afterwards, he presumably left the manor for good. (Mark didn’t mention that last sentence, but it is implied, and it makes sense).
-The inside of the house is VERY different from the outside—it’s like stepping into a different dimension, or as Mark put it, “stepping into someone’s mind” (which is JUST AN ANALOGY!). No one can die inside of the house. If something happens to you, you keep that injury and keep on living in pain. You can only die outside of the house (obviously, because that’s where the real world is)
- ^^^ That means that the Detective is still alive, and so is the viewer.^^^
-Damien and Celine used your body to get out of the black, purgatory-esc realm. They then ditched your body, turning into Darkiplier. Virtually none of Damien and Celine are left in Dark. Just like the groundskeeper said: “Everyone is…[gone]”.
-Damien and Celine did this ^^^ because Celine thought she knew more than she actually did, she thought she had more control than she actually did, and Damien trusted and believed her, so he thought it was in your best interest to “let them in”. In actuality though…the viewer is left stuck in the house.
-By the end of it, Damien hates Mark, feeling betrayed and left alone to live in pain and regret.
-The Colonel (obviously) turns into Wilford Warfstache. His red overalls faded into pink ones over the years.
-The Colonel sits with your dead body for 10 HOURS STRAIGHT, cradling Damien’s cane. At that point, he is not experiencing madness…he is experiencing pain, regret, mourning, and sorrow. He doesn’t experience madness until your dead body (which has been lifeless for 10 HOURS), suddenly gets up. (Keep in mind that in normal circumstances, rigor mortis sets in between 2 and 6 hours after death. The house prevents you from decaying, because you cannot die in that house).
-The house (as you could’ve guessed) doesn’t follow the laws of physics in its layout, and in it’s overall reality. For example, it was hiding the Detective’s room from the viewer. (Although, Mark seemed to lean away from the idea that the house could be sentient).
-The Detective’s room has been that way for years, recent stuff has just been added to it. When the Colonel angrily says that the Detective has been “keeping tabs on us”, he means that the Detective has been doing that for YEARS. Remember: Mark hired Detective Abe to keep tabs on people and to look into anything of question, and that’s exactly what he did. __________
Now that that’s out of the way! Here are my headcanons/theories (these are not 100% confirmed! Although, some are very likely):
-William (Now Wilford) wears bowties because of Damien. (Notice how Darkiplier doesn’t wear a bowtie/any tie at all [anymore]). (This headcanon was mentioned by Amy).
-After the events of WKM, the Chef and the Butler went as far away as they possibly could from the house. The two of them, although they did not particularly like each other, worked at a restaurant together (as seen on A Date With Markiplier). The Butler becomes a waiter and befriends another waiter (Ethan), the two of them also working at a small, independent theatre.
-The Mark (character) that we see in all other (important) sketches/skits is actually Damien’s body, but is just being controlled/possessed by Mark (from WKM. It’s not a “new” Mark, it’s the same one, he just has a different body—-Damien’s body).
-Wilford, being mad (insane), sees Darkiplier as Damien, being unable to see him as broken and corrupted. Wilford doesn’t see the glitchiness and unstableness of Darkiplier, he just sees his old friend Damien.
-Dark, being nothing more than a husk with the feelings of revenge, uses Wilford, not actually considering him as a friend. Dark contains virtually no trace of Damien and Celine anymore. Their spirits have been corrupted with hatred and revenge so much, that all it is now is Dark. __________ The questions (HOEPFULLY TO BE ANSWERED BY MARK!):
-What is the time setting?! Mark and the gang VERY briefly brush up on this in their livestream explaining WKM, but what they say is even MORE confusing. Mark says that it takes place around the ages of the 1920’s through the 1950’s. I am going to completely dismiss that idea, because it makes no goddamn sense. Maybe Mark meant that it was based on those eras? But then Amy goes on to say that they wanted WKM to seem timeless. Idfk, this needs to be cleared up. The timeline is VERY important! For some reason, Mark always dismisses it!
-What happened to the Detective? The person speaking at the end of Chapter 4 of WKM is confirmed to be the Detective. He says (verbatim): “ *recorder beep* *intense coughing* Colonel…*coughing* if you can hear this…you better run”. Clearly, the Detective is angered and full of hatred towards the Colonel. He knows that he killed Mark, so maybe he will also be out for revenge? If not, what is the importance of his character? It’s clearly left on a cliffhanger. Is the Detective still stuck in the house with the viewer? If so, why was that last audio clip put in? (I understand this particular question cannot be answered yet. I just want everyone to think about it, because it seems to be that everyone forgot the importance of this character. No one’s talking about Abe!).
-What exactly happened to the Butler and the Chef? I tried to answer this question using my headcanon, as seen above, but I think it’s still good to mention here. I consider them to be very important characters, and I think that Mark could answer this one very easily.
-Is the Groundskeeper still keeping the grounds of the manor? Obviously, after the events of WKM, George (the Groundskeeper) definitely vowed to never go back in that house ever again. But…he’s done this before…so did he go back to his job? Or did he leave for good? (This may not be important at all).
-What’s the deal with Wilford? All that we know about Wilford is that he is insane, and that he is now working with Darkiplier (as shown in Markiplier TV), but what are the specifics? Does he know that Dark is (or, ..was) Damien and Celine?
-Are Wilford’s other videos not canon now? Now that Wilford has an official origin story, we are left to question his first origin story. Yep! You read that right. For the new fans of Markiplier: Wilford has always had a backstory. We see it in these videos (which are in order; that’s important) The Warfstache Affair and The Ned Affair. He was a journalist who slept with someone who was having an affair with her husband. After shooting and killing the woman, her husband, (and their neighbor and their dog), Wilford burned the house to the ground and fled the scene, being wanted by the police. Did those videos not even happen, or did they just happen way after WKM? (Also, does “Warfstache Interviews Markiplier” have any canon or importance?)
-Who is the new Markiplier? As mentioned in this post, Mark took control of Damien’s body and left the manor, planning to leave the Colonel, Damien, and even the viewer. So what does that mean for the Mark character we see in A Date With Markiplier and Markiplier TV? I think that it’s still the Mark from WKM, but just in Damien’s body, but that has not yet been confirmed or disapproved.
-Who is the new viewer? The viewer’s character (the one looking at everything in first person) is confirmed to be stuck in the manor at the end of WKM, …but, in A Date With Markiplier, there seems to be a new character for the viewer’s perspective. Who is this new person? They have to be significant in some way! In ADWM, Mark’s character says SEVERAL times: “Do I know you from somewhere?” “you look familiar” “Do we know each other?”. What does that mean?? I’m pretty sure that was NEVER explained! __________
And with that, this post has officially concluded. Sorry…that it’s so long. I’m sure that fact will deter Mark from it :(
Thank you to anyone and everyone who decided to take the time out of their lives to actually sit down and read this. It took me a long time to not only type this, but to do the small amount of research that went along with it.
Mark, this post means a lot to me….it would mean so much for you to comment on it and explain a few things. You inspire me every single day, and the WKM series is a masterpiece that I absolutely adore. I’m very confident in this post, so I think it would be pretty close to a total waste if you never come across this.
Once again, thank you everyone for reading this. You have no idea how much it means to me. I’m going to spread this like the plague—I need people to see this, I’m so passionate about it.
Again, special thanks to Mark.

Dreaming of Reality
IN HONOR OF ROB’S BIRTHDAY, ENJOY MY FIRST CHUCK FANFICTION! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROBBIE
Characters: Reader, God!Chuck and… that’s really it for now. More will probably be added in future parts. Not sure where exactly I’m taking this right now.
Pairing: God!Chuck x Reader
Warnings: Fluff, bit of a slow burn type romance for this part. It’ll pick up soon. (Let me know if I left anything out. This is all I could think of.)
Word Count: ~1300
Summary: Reader and Chuck bump into each other at a book store and a smitten Chuck decides to manipulate her dreams using his divine ability in order to get to know her without risk of embarrassing himself. Reader thinks it’s a dream at first but then figures out the truth, and they live happily ever after hahaha. I really don’t fully know where this is going. I’m letting my muse handle this.
A/N So I came up with this idea with a little help from my friend @love-kittykat21. It’s based on an actual series of dreams I had during a Chuck!crisis I had just before my hiatus. It’s pretty special to me and its my first series as well as my first Chuck so while I encourage feedback, please make sure it’s constructive. Don’t hurt my fragile little heart xD. Message me or send me asks or reblog if you have any thoughts on the story. Now, enjoy the story.
Your P.O.V
Sunday nights were special. This one was was no exception. You just didn’t realize how special this particular Sunday was until much much later. This Sunday night was spent like any other, at the local library, reading in one of the velvet soft armchairs, sipping a steaming hot cup of coffee. Sunday was your designated relaxation day. You worked from home as a virtual tutor for a local college. When you didn’t have sessions with a student, you were usually studying or planning lessons, but you always took Sunday to relax from the week before the next one started. You finished the last page of the book you were reading and gently closed it, frowning at the ending. This was the last book in the Supernatural series. Now you’d have to wait for Carver Edlund to publish another one. Sighing, you got up and went to hunt down another book. As you turned the corner into the World History section, you bumped into someone. You quickly apologized, sent the man a quick apologetic smile and hurried past him into the Fiction section.
Chuck P.O.V
Chuck watched the woman hurry away, slightly in awe. He’d only caught a glimpse of her but he could tell she was beautiful. He wanted to follow her, to say something to her, but he just shook his head and continued walking toward the exit of the library. After he’d left, he started mentally kicking himself for letting her get away. Years of pretending to be shy and quirky Chuck Shurley had rubbed off on him and now he, the Lord of all creation, was nervous to talk to a girl. He sighed and snapped himself home, no longer feeling like spending the day out. Chuck went home and emptied a bottle of wine, sitting in front of his computer, staring at an unfinished chapter of the newest installment of Supernatural.
At about 3am, Chuck decided to call it a night. He stripped down to his boxers and flopped on the bed, pushing a hand through his mess of curly hair with a sigh. He couldn’t stop thinking about the girl from the library. He had to see her again. That was when it dawned on him- he could visit her in a dream. It was technically cheating, but at least he could see her again. He thought of her and snapped his fingers. Suddenly, he was in his reconstructed bar/safe-house that was bustling with people he’d created in this dream world. Across the bar from where he was standing, sat Y/N. He smiled and walked over to her, taking the seat next to her and motioning to the bartender for a round of beer. “Hi there. Name’s Chuck.” He said, holding out his hand for her to shake. She gave him a small smile, turning to face him and accepting his handshake.
“ Y/N. Nice to meet you, Chuck.” The way she said his name made Chuck smile widely. The bartender set down two beers in front of the pair and they sipped them as they talked. They talked for hours about anything they could think of, neither wanting the conversation to end. It turned out that he and Y/N had quite a lot in common. All too soon, Chuck sensed that Y/N would wake soon, and so he said goodbye with a gentle side-hug and ended the dream.
Your P.O.V
You woke up slowly, a few minutes before your alarm, and stared at the ceiling. The dream was already beginning to fade from your memory but you still held a smile. It had been a good dream, that much you could remember. You had been sitting in a bar talking to a man with blue eyes and messy brown hair. What was his name? Chance? Charlie? You shook your head to clear your thoughts and got out of bed. It was just a dream; his name didn’t matter.
An hour later you were set up in your home office, preparing for your first tutoring session of the day. You still had 15 minutes before the appointment, just enough time to get your papers in order. Or that was the plan. You ended up daydreaming about the mystery man from your dream until the video chat request came through and you jumped to answer it, the mystery man pushed to the back of your mind. For the next several hours you were busy with one student or another. You struggled to concentrate on the books in front of you. There was a feeling you just couldn’t shake about your dream last night. It had just felt so real.
“Miss Y/N?” Your current student’s voice drifted out of the speakers on your computer, pulling your head out of the clouds. You brushed off her questions about your lack of focus and pulled out the practice exam you had printed out to help this student study for her upcoming exam. You pushed your thoughts aside for now, they would have to wait.
You didn’t finish with your students until seven that night. After you put your office back in order and made notes in your last student’s folder, you went down and grabbed a quick dinner of leftovers and a glass of water, sitting in front of the T.V to watch the news as you ate. After you finished eating, you cleaned your dishes and turned the T.V off, not wanting to hear anymore depressing news stories. Following your nightly routine, you went to the bathroom and took a blisteringly hot shower to clear your head before bed. Apparently your brain had other ideas tonight. As the scalding water ran over your shoulders, your mind wandered back to your dream the previous night. Usually by now your dreams would have faded from memory but you remembered this dream with vivid detail. The curl of the mystery man’s hair, the deep ocean blue of his eyes, the way his face lit up when he laughed at something you said…. Shaking your head to clear it, you continued to wash the day from your skin and then quickly jumped out and got ready for bed. You must have been pretty lonely to be fantasizing about a figment of your subconscious.
After changing and brushing your teeth, you crawled into bed, snuggling into the fluffy comforter and cool cotton sheets. Every muscle in your body relaxed as the stress of the day melted from your shoulders and you quickly drifted off. You were so tired it was a miracle you could dream, but dream you did. The scene was the same as last night and your stomach flipped when you realized where you were. You slowly moved over to the same bar stool you had sat at in your dream the previous night and waited. Before long, the familiar curly head of hair appeared at the edge of your vision. You turned your head and smiled gently at him. He smiled back and sat down, motioning for two beers yet again. Same as last night, the two of you sat and talked until last call, just before you woke up a few minutes before your alarm, same as the day before. This time when you woke up, however, you had an odd feeling that this wasn’t a dream at all. That day you were unable to focus on work again. While your students were working through practice problems, you were doodling his face on your notepad, only paying attention to the students when they had questions or wanted you to check their work. But even then, you were distant. You felt bad for not being fully attentive to your students and decided to do something about it. So that evening, after you’d finished with the last student of the day, you began to search the internet for this mysterious man in your dreams. This wasn’t very productive since you didn’t have a name or any other knowledge of his life. All you had was the sketch of his face you’d made earlier. At this point you were getting desperate and feeling more than a little crazy. You decided to just give up for the night and go to bed, hoping that once you did, you would find yourself in that bar once more.

Beriphitar’s Pillage 2: Slow and Steady and the Journal
I've been traveling north for three days now, stopping in mid-tier motels when my ass can't take riding on the scooter with four bags anymore. They're places nice enough that I can expect clean rooms and a pleasant stay, but not so fancy that my paying in cash draws too much suspicion.
I pull into the parking lot of a Motto Locco (decent franchise with a stupid name) and get off Trusty Rusty. It's drizzling rain. I go under the porch cover of the motel, drop the bags on the ground, the straps of which have been digging the fuck into my shoulders by the way, and light up a cigarette.
I'm planning to buy a car, but I've been trying to put as much distance between me and my old town before starting up a money trail, just in case I left behind evidence, and I need to be elusive. Another reason is that I don't think I have enough money in my bank account to buy a car worth a shit at the moment.
I have a feeling eyes have been staring into the distance after me ever since I skipped town. So, I don't want to make a large deposit of money into my bank account, considering that the lawmen know the Greyhorns were robbed. Buying a car with thousands of bucks of cold hard cash may be even more suspicious. So, I made a relatively modest deposit of money into my account yesterday, about $300.
As much as I'd like to get my money in safe storage, and this heavy bag off my shoulder soon, I will continue to trickle money into my account about once a week. Selling the gold bars under the table has also been on my mind. Some people say you should invest in gold, as a type of security in case the value of un-backed federal currency plummits or something.
I don't really give a shit about that, because even if I could shave some gold leaf off the blocks, the convenience store probably wouldn't take that as payment for my Pringles. The gold is heavy, but I don't want to deposit it in the bank, because that would be unusual activity for me- a red flag for any gumshoe poking around. I've also yet to sell the various other valuables, like jewelry, that I stole from the Greyhorns' house. It's in part because of the whole trail thing, but it's become procrastination now. Tomorrow for sure I'll visit a pawn shop to sell a watch and necklace.
Once I've sucked all the death from the cigarette into my body, I throw the stub out into the rain and head inside. The employee at the counter helps me check in. She's slightly chubby, forty-ish, with curly, short brown hair. She's not ugly, but something about her face just pisses me off. She seems like she'd be a bitch, but I can't decide exactly what kind.
Maybe the kind that talks snidely behind your back? Ah, but there's more to her than that. Nags her husband if she has one? We're getting there. Smiles politely, but has a slight disapproving crinkle in her nose because you stink of smoke? Ooosh, close to home. Will frown as soon as I turn my back to go upstairs? Another nail in the coffin. Watches me fumble a bit with my bags, and wonders nosily and disgustedly at why I have so many? Wow, I'm on a roll.
I realize as I retreat into my room that I'm the bitch, assuming all that, and judging that woman that way. The room has a TV, of course, but TV is like 1/3 ads, 1/3 boring bullshit, and 1/3 things of moderate interest. I consider sleeping to kill my boredom, but I remember that I have Reyfon's diary in one of my bags.
I sit and open it.
"Uncle Freido told me to pull down my shorts... He called it, 'touching trunks like the elephants do," but I'd only ever seen water spray from an elephant's trunk. It hurt a lot when he touched his trunk at the back. Uncle F didn't have a name for that, the fucker."
Pretty juicy stuff. It's sounding like I may have done him a favor, putting the damaged bastard out of his misery. I flip a few more pages.
"I can't explain exactly why I do this. I know I can't excuse it. I'm just propelled. I seek them out. I lure them with sweets, toys, and gifts. I make them feel safe with smiles and a caring, gentle tone. I know how special it can be for a child when a grown up listens, tries to understand, expresses pride in them and treats them like a competent human being. I give them attention. I give them respect. I take their side. And I know to pick the ones whose parents leave voids that I can fill.
In my head, I know it's vile. I know it's a betrayal. I don't understand why my heart doesn't react, doesn't care.
I have predator's eyes. They see all too well how weak, how pathetic the children are. Sometimes, I consider doing the right thing, actually using my position to give them the help and support they need, but I have the stomach of a predator as well. And when I see prey, it rumbles so badly that I must devour."
It doesn't take a genius to see where this is going. There's a "No Smoking" sign in the motel room, but I light up a cigarette anyway. I blow smoke onto the pages. I skim though the records of Reyfon's deeds.
"I don't want to go back to a grown woman now. Little boys and girls are so much tighter... child screamed... leaking blood... asked if I would watch her son for a while... smirked... I took her down to the basement, and... trusted me... touched them so much... bruises... forced him to...
There are coloured pencil drawings of children, unclothed with splayed legs, objects or toys inserted. Some are crying. Some appear to be in strained pleasure. I wonder if Reyfon made them pose while he sketched up these shitty portraits?
"It's an addiction, but I just won't stop. I know some people must suspect something after all this, but no one says anything. Little Brith's mom looked at me strangely the other day. He's come around for a generous handout of candy for the past four Halloweens, but not this one."
I skip along to his latest entry, which was made just five days before I killed him. His aunt, uncle, and their three children came to visit. They wanted to go see his dying father in the hospital, and support their family. He explains how this was a monkey wrench in his plans. He had planned to ask me to kill his brother the day before he found out that they were going to be coming. During their stay, he got the middle child, a girl of six, alone. In his rage over the interruption, he raped and molested the child even more violently than he would normally, a sort of revenge against her parents I guess. He wrote,
"I heard her crying when she was in the bathroom, thankfully before anyone else. I questioned her about it, and she said it really hurt. I told her to be quiet and not to tell anyone that she was having trouble going to the bathroom. Her parents might take her to the hospital, and then it'd be obvious that the girl had gone through sexual trauma.
I said if she made noise again, or told anyone about the pain when peeing and pooping and the things we did together, I'd kill her. I showed her the gun I'd shoot her with, pointed it at her little blonde head, and said, 'Bang.' I was angry at the time, so I used a heavier hand than usual.
I told her I'd have to punish her for making noise, and she cried and begged me not to. I told her to be quiet, pulled down her skirt and panties, and spanked her for disobedience. I started off doing this for a practical reason, but it roused my trunk. I had another session with her right then. I spanked her again afterwards because she cried the whole time. Thankfully, the house is big with good insulation.
I hadn't done enough harm to my aunt and uncle yet though, so I molested their 3 year old son as well. I knew I couldn't ruin his rump like I wanted to though, because he wouldn't have enough self control to hide the pain even if I did threaten him. I bet Kinsey would have liked the details of that, but he already knew that young boys can achieve climax. Their oldest was 10, which is still within my preferred age range, but that girl seemed too smart and strong willed. I didn't want her badly enough to deal with killing her and hiding the body afterwards."
I think I've read enough, at least for now. I'm not going to lie; I'm disgusted. I've done too much myself to be the good guy, and I'm no vigilante, but I'm glad I bashed Reyfon's head in. I walk out into the balcony where I should have been, and throw the cig down onto the dark pavement below. A man in a beige coat down in the lot sees me do this, and that looks suspiciously like judgement on his face. I give him the finger, and turn to walk back in before I have to see his stupid reaction. I crash on the bed without a shower or anything, and just plan to sleep until I wake naturally.
I open my eyes refreshed. I get ready in the bathroom- shower, shave, brush the hair, teeth cleaning, piss, jeans and t-shirt under a grey, white-stringed hoodie. I get my stuff and go down to check out. It's a young woman across the counter this time. Brown hair in a ponytail, ignorant face, maybe she's a student.
I look around. The place is vacant, and this is a small, backwater type town. She's looking down doing one thing or another for me, and I'm looking at her, wondering if I've got five minutes to strangle her.
I vault over the counter and clothesline her in the neck before she can say, "What?!" I slip behind her with my arm hooked around her throat and back up into the wall. She's kicking and grunting in a panic. I can tell she's trying to hit my balls, but she's having a hard time in this position. Mostly what she's managing to do is grind her ass into my crotch, which is giving me a hard-on.
It's soft curves fighting hopelessly against labor hardened muscle. I feel her getting weaker in my unyielding, boa-like grip. A good 60 years of life leave her body with her final exhale. I sigh and drop her down onto the rough carpet.
"Sir?" an unsure, youthful voice asks me.
"Oh yeah, sorry," I respond. The only thing that was real of all that is my straining erection. Of course I couldn't do something so reckless and stupid, but at least I can imagine.
I walk out to greet the morning. The day is sunny and crisp. I take a four minute ride over to the pawn shop that I found in the motel phonebook. The owner's sunken eyes give me what I think is a knowing, slightly wary look from under his heavy white eyebrows. He has a mustache to match, and the thin lips hidden underneath are set in a frown.
He takes the jewelry anyway, though. If he's going to give service, maybe he should give it with a smile so people feel more comfortable coming back. I only get $90 for what I believe was very fine jewelry. Whatever, asshole. It's on to another day of riding away for me.

Website Pop-Ups: The Good, the Bad, and 18 Rules You Should Never Break
Sourced From: https://www.webdesignerdepot.com/2018/06/website-pop-ups-the-good-the-bad-and-18-rules-you-should-never-break/
A website is a place where a business can educate its audience about its brand. What it does. Why it does it. What they’ll get out of being there. That, in and of itself, is a lot of information.
When designing a website for your clients, the last thing you want is to overdo it. The web is not a place for excess and its users typically don’t have the patience to sift through pages and pages stuffed full of information just to get to the relevant bits.
That’s why minimalism will endure as a design trend. It allows web designers to convey a lot about a brand and its message, without having to spell it all out on the page. It gives brands a cleaner, more buttoned-up look while also clearing a path to conversion for visitors.
But just because you design with simplicity and minimalism in mind, doesn’t mean you can’t share additional messages with visitors. You just have to find less cumbersome and intrusive ways to do so.
Years ago, the pop-up was introduced as a means to do this. It kept related and relevant information within the website without having to intrude on the well-designed page. However, Google has since cracked down on the usage of pop-ups that it deems disruptive to the user experience, which has some designers and developers confused about what they’re supposed to do now.
So, what does it mean? Is the pop-up no longer a viable way to promote special offers, share value-add content, subscribe new followers, or recover nearly-lost sales? In this article, I’m going to cover the current state of website pop-ups and give you some best practices to adhere to when using them.
The Current State of Website Pop-ups
First, let’s talk about what pop-ups look like today, how they’re used, and why you would even want to include them in your web design plan.
Types of Pop-ups
A modal is the most common type users encounter on the web.
It can literally pop open on a web page, slide into the page, or just be there right from the point of entry. While these usually can be found in the dead-center of the page, some websites now place them closer to the bottom of the page or even stick them in the corner.
An interstitial or overlay pop-up is one that covers the entire screen, usually upon entering a website.
A notification bar is one that can permanently stick to the top or bottom of a website.
5 Very Good Reasons to Use Pop-ups
You might think that with the backlash from Google on mobile pop-ups (I’m getting to that soon…) that it would be best to stay away from pop-ups altogether. However, I’ll give you 5 very good reasons why most of the websites you design should include them:
1. They’re Attention-Grabbing
No one has patience to read anymore, which is why delivering attention-grabbing micro-messages in pop-ups are so great.
2. They Draw the Eyes to What’s Most Important
Pop-ups deliver extra value to online visitors—and they know it. So, when a pop-up appears, they’re going to immediately be drawn to that offer or value-added opportunity.
3. They’re Versatile
Pop-ups no longer move visitors out of the browser window or clog up their desktop with ads they weren’t aware of. You now have so many different types to work with and they can be triggered at different points of the website experience:
Upon entry After a certain point of scrolling Triggered by an action Right before exiting
4. They Keep the Site Clean
As I mentioned before, minimalism is important for making a website aesthetically pleasing. But if you have a special message you really want to get in front of visitors and don’t want to take up precious and limited real estate to do it, you can use pop-ups to deliver it.
5. They Increase Conversions
Sumo studied its users’ pop-ups and the conversion rates associated with them. What they found was that pop-ups have the potential to convert at a rate of about 3%, on average. Pop-ups that are designed really well, however, have the potential to convert 9% of visitors that encounter them.
You can also use them to increase engagement on the site. Ask them to fill out a survey, share something on social media, or to watch a video on a landing page.
But What’s the Deal with Mobile Pop-ups?
Okay, so Google doesn’t hate mobile pop-ups. It just wants web developers to be smarter about how they use them since pop-ups can be disruptive for users, in general, though definitely more so on smaller mobile screens.
As a result, Google has begun issuing penalties to mobile websites that use these three kinds of pop-ups:
In summary, stay away from:
Pop-ups on the first page of a mobile user’s visit Pop-ups that hide the majority of the web page behind it Interstitials
Got it? Now, let’s talk about what you should do when using website pop-ups.
18 Best Practices for Using Website Pop-ups
Never use pop-ups for the sole purpose of having a trendy design element in place. If you waste visitors’ time with a meaningless disruption, you’ll lose their trust. Design the pop-up to look just as good as the rest of your website.
Make sure they’re responsive. Keep copy short and to the point. Don’t use the passive aggressive Yes/No calls-to-action unless it’s your brand’s personality to be that way. If you’re including two CTAs, do it in a way that positively encourages them to take action on the primary one. If you’re going to collect contact information, ask only for one thing: their email address. Make sure the content of the pop-up is relevant to the page it appears on.
If you can, avoid showing pop-ups on the first page. Give visitors a chance to acclimate first. For the record, though, this is one of the entry pop-up types Google does allow for (since privacy is so important):
Follow Google’s rules for mobile: no interstitials, no oversized modals, and no pop-ups on the first page. Don’t feel like desktop and mobile pop-ups need to be identical. Design pop-ups for each device type. Always include an easy way to get out of the pop-up: either click outside of it or place an “X” button in the top-right. Time your pop-ups to appear at just the right moment of the on-site experience (like right before visitors are about to exit).
Set frequency rules, so visitors don’t keep seeing pop-ups on every page or on every visit. Place pop-ups in the right location. If you want to intrude (and think visitors will be okay with it), put them in the center of the screen.
If you want to share a special offer, use a sticky bar.
If you want to give them something to think about as they move around the site, put the pop-up off to the side.
Use audience segmentation and targeting to create customized pop-up messages.
Wrapping Up
If you have something really valuable to share with visitors or know you have a way to positively lure them back to your site, give website pop-ups a shot. And don’t be afraid to A/B test them the way you do other elements on your site. There’s so much here to play with, including design, copy, placement, CTA, triggers, and more.

Acer Nitro 5 Spin Review
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
High-end gaming laptops are usually burdened with having to be bulky and ungainly, but they’re built that way for good reason – all their power-hungry components require heavy-duty cooling. However, that landscape is slowly changing as mobile GPUs get more efficient and new design guidelines like Nvidia’s Max-Q emerge, geared towards providing the same horsepower but in slimmer form factors. We’ve already seen some of these examples such as the Asus Zephyrus and Acer’s Triton 700, but all have been priced upwards of Rs. 2,00,000 so far.
To meet the needs of gamers on a budget, Acer introduced the Nitro 5 Spin in the last quarter of 2017. This laptop measures just 17.9mm in thickness and is the first 2-in-1 gaming laptop to launch in India. Sure, we’ve had 2-in-1s with discrete graphics cards for a while, but none of them have been powerful enough to handle high-end games. With a starting price of Rs. 79,990, the Nitro 5 Spin looks like a very tempting option on paper. Let’s see how well it actually performs.
youtube
Acer Nitro 5 Spin design and build quality
The Nitro 5 Spin is a 15.6-inch laptop, so it’s quite a handful if you’re going to be carrying it around. Its slim profile definitely makes it easy to slip into a backpack but it’s still heavy at 2.2kg. Also, despite the slim body, it isn’t based on Nvidia’s Max-Q design guidelines. It feels premium thanks to the all-metal body and the brushed aluminium finish on the lid. You can only get it in one colour trim, which is black with crimson accents. The lid attracts fingerprints and smudges pretty easily, so some attention will be is required to keep it looking clean. Acer boasts of having a special ExoAmp antenna design in the Nitro 5 Spin, which is visible on the edges of the lid, and promises better Wi-Fi range.
The 360-degree hinge offers good torsion, and the lid is held in place at most angles. You can of course flip the lid all the way around so you can use the laptop as a tablet. The 15.6-inch IPS display runs at a full-HD resolution, which results in decently sharp images and text. There’s a bit of jaggedness around text, but at normal typing distance, this isn’t too noticeable. The thick black borders around the display aren’t very aesthetically appealing but they help you grip the device when using it as a tablet (not that many would use a 2.2kg tablet too often, but still). The protective glass over the display causes a fair amount of reflection, so we had to use the laptop at full brightness most of the time, even when indoors.
The matte-finished palm rest area on the Acer Nitro 5 Spin is spacious and there’s a decently sized trackpad which is placed a bit off-centre so it doesn’t get in the way when typing. We have a full-sized chicklet keyboard along with a number pad. The keys are backlit in red, with only one level of brightness. We found the keys to be comfortable for typing without being noisy, and key travel is good, but we would have liked a better layout for the arrow keys.
The trackpad has a fingerprint sensor embedded in its upper left corner, which is used for Windows Hello authentication. The stereo speakers are placed between the two hinges and the speaker grille wraps around the edges on the top, so they fire upwards when you use this 2-in-1 in tent mode. The exhaust vents are also here, while large intake slits for fresh air are on the bottom. Unfortunately there’s no hatch for easy access to components.
On the left of the Acer Nitro 5 Spin, we have one HDMI port, one USB Type-C (USB 3.1 Gen. 1) port, and two USB 3.0 ports, while on the right, there are two status LEDs for power and charging, a volume rocker, a 3.5mm headphone and microphone combo socket, an SD card reader, one USB 2.0 port, and the power button. In the box, you can expect a charger and warranty leaflets.
Acer Nitro 5 Spin specifications and features
We have the top-end version of the Nitro 5 Spin with us for review. This variant features an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8550U CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 GPU with 4GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory. You also get a 256GB SSD as well as a 1TB hard drive. The base variant of the Nitro 5 Spin features a Core i5 CPU and no SSD. Other specifications include Bluetooth 4.1, dual band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, an HD webcam, and stereo speakers with a sub-woofer.
The laptop ships with Windows 10 Home 64-bit. You get a suite of software from Acer preinstalled, which includes Acer Portal, Care Centre, and Quick Access. Additional software includes a trial version of Norton Security, and a full copy of Microsoft Office Home and Student Edition. The Windows Ink workspace is enabled by default, which lets you access sketching and 3D modelling apps from one place.
Acer Nitro 5 Spin performance and battery life
The Nitro 5 Spin performs well in laptop mode. When running regular Web and office apps, the exhaust fans run silently so there isn’t any noise. However, fire up a game and the fans ramp up to a point where they are easily audible. This can be a bit distracting if you aren’t gaming with headphones on. We also found that the left side of the laptop’s body gets hot after gaming for about 15 minutes or so. This is a bit of a problem as the WASD keys, which you’re going to have your fingers on most of the time, get fairly uncomfortable after a point.
Being a 2-in-1, the Nitro 5 Spin can be used in a variety of modes like tent and tablet. We found that tent mode could come in handy if you’re short of desk space, although you would need a controller or a separate keyboard. However, we felt it a bit impractical to use this device as an actual tablet, mostly due to its size and weight. The screen’s touch response is good and we didn’t face any issues here. The trackpad also works well for Windows 10 gestures. You get a HD webcam and an array of four microphones along the top of the lid, which work well in picking up your voice for Cortana even when you’re some distance from the laptop.
Shop On SecondCovers
The speakers on the Acer Nitro 5 Spin get decently loud and sound is good even when you’re not in laptop mode. The left and right audio channels switch automatically, depending on what mode you’re using the device in. The Dolby software lets you tweak the sound, which is handy. Video playback is handled well for 4K media files and the display produces punchy colours. Viewing angles are good, although reflections are a bit of a bother at times.
Coming to benchmarks, the Nitro 5 Spin does well in this department too. The quad-core, multithreaded CPU gave us good scores of 3,806, 4,738, and 3,403 in PCMark 8’s Home, Creative and Work test suites. 3DMark Fire Strike gave us a score of 5,064 points, which is good considering the CPU and GPU in this device. The Micron SSD in the Nitro 5 Spin gave us a respectable drive score of 490MB/s in the SiSoft Sandra benchmark. The 1TB hard drive runs at a lower 5400rpm, so if you’ve installed games here, then you’ll notice that loading takes a bit longer.
In actual games, the Nitro 5 Spin delivers good performance. All tests were conducted at the laptop’s native resolution of 1920×1080, while individual graphics settings were tweaked based on how well the game ran. We began with Rise of The Tomb Raider, which ran at an average framerate of 28.15fps as measured by the game’s built-in benchmark. This was with the Very High preset and FXAA enabled. We managed a similar framerate when actually playing the game too, which was smooth enough.
Metro: Last Light Redux is a demanding game, which proved to be a bit much for the Nitro 5 Spin even at the Medium preset and with no tessellation. Here, we averaged 9.33fps in the game’s built-in benchmark. Doom is wonderful game to test with, as it looks gorgeous and also runs well on even modest gaming systems. With the settings cranked all the way to the Ultra preset and with the Vulkan API selected, we averaged 57fps in the Foundry level. Gameplay was obviously very smooth and we didn’t face any slowdowns.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a stressful game but the Nitro 5 Spin managed some respectable framerates here, giving us 28fps with the High preset using DX12, but with no anti-aliasing. Far Cry 4 might be a little old but it’s still a very good-looking game even by today’s standards. Here, we got a very playable 31fps at the Ultra setting. We did have a few dips in the framerate during intense battles but these were very intermittent. Last but not least, GTA V delivered a smooth 33fps on average, with a mix of High and Very High settings.
The 4-cell battery in the Nitro 5 Spin managed to deliver a decent six hours of battery life on average, with light usage consisting of Web browsing and watching videos. The laptop also supports Nvidia’s Optimus technology, which shuts off the GeForce GTX 1050 when not needed. For non-graphically-intensive tasks and apps, the laptop uses the Intel UHD Graphics 620 capabilities of the CPU itself. The more demanding Battery Eater Pro test lasted for 2 hours, 17 minutes.
Verdict
The Acer Nitro 5 Spin is a power-packed 2-in-1 gaming laptop. Right now, there’s nothing else quite like it in India, which is why it commands a slight premium of Rs. 91,990 for the top-end model. If you’re not going to travel a lot with your laptop and will be using it mostly on a desk, then you can find gaming models with slightly better specifications from Dell, Lenovo, and even Acer, at around this price. The Nitro 5 Spin is available through the company’s authorised stores but you can also find it on Flipkart. The online price fluctuates quite a bit, and we once saw this very model going for as little as Rs. 83,990 during our review period.
The slim body of the Nitro 5 Spin is great for aesthetics, but it also gets quite hot when gaming, and that too right under your fingertips which isn’t comfortable after a while. The display is also a bit too reflective and the exhaust fans get noisy when they ramp up. Hopefully in the near future, we’ll see more slim and light gaming laptops, including 2-in-1s, from all the big manufacturers.
Price (M.R.P): Rs. 91,990
Pros
Good gaming performance
Slim body
Lots of ports
Comfortable keyboard
Cons
Keys get hot during gaming

DAYSIGN | TWIXTLAB
Daysign workshop at TwixtLab within the context of ENTERart. 22, 23 & 29 November, 2014, Athens, Greece.
Participants: Io Chaviara, Sophia Grigoriadou, Elia Kalogianni, Dimitra Kondylatou, Afroditi Koutrouditsou, Stefania Latsi, Antrianna Moutoula, Stefanos Papadakis, Eleni Papagaroufali, Maroula Papanastasi, Erikos Petrou, Dimitris Poulakis, Simon Prasinos, Panagiotis Skalkotos, Walklamp.
Dimitra Kondylatou
Initial plan: A day staring at the sea. In situ redesigned. Chosen spot: Akti Vouliagmenis – entrance fee: 4€. A public good that has been decided and turned into a private-for payment luxury resource. In return for the money I gave at the entrance I decide to “buy” some sea water. I decide to transport it to another place, with a similar type of property --> A' Cemetery of Athens. I clean a grave with the collected sea water. Chosen grave: HENRY MARDEN, MISSIONARY OF THE AMERICAN BOARD IN TURKEY BORN NEW BOSTON NH DEC. 9. 1837, DIED ATHENS MAY. 18. 1890 HE GAVE HIS ALL FOR CHRIST. In return for the water I brought, I “steal/get” a stone from Henry's grave.
A flow of change from public to private, a constant exchange of natural resources-free goods, a transaction with live and dead, minor rituals addressed to “mute and unactioned” receivers.
Maroula Papanastasi, Eleni Papagaroufali
Pretending to be homeless and horrified by the idea to find myself sleeping in the street, I went downtown Athens and asked pedestrians for information about some place offering hospitality to the homeless. In this painful effort I was accompanied by Eleni, who played the role of a woman willing to help me find someone who could give me this information. People’s responses ranged from ‘I don’t want to know what happens’ to ‘go to the church’ or ‘the municipality of Athens’ to ‘come to my parents’ home’ – as a young woman, Martha, said.
Antrianna Moutoula

I went to a random school and threw a big rock through a glass. Then i went to a playground and burnt four swings and a seesaw. I just wanted to do something that i would never do in any other occasion, something noticeably violent. We all do this kind of stuff...
Simon Prasinos (with Stefania Latsi)
Our day began in Porto-Rafti with us making our box-like suit. We drove all the way to Athens, parked at Thiseio, wore our boxlike outfits and started walking towards Syntagma square. In the meantime we where asking from random people who encountered to share with us one thought of theirs. We had drawn everyone's attention, but only a few people agreed to share with us. We reached Syntagma square and made a stop at the Mac Donald's. The girl who served us got scared when she saw us, and asked in English "what are you?" and " what do you want?". We told her that we are taking part in an artistic project and wanted her to share with us one thought of hers, and also a milkshake. We only got the milkshake from her. Finally, we spent some time in Syntagma and then returned to Thiseio through Plaka and Acropoli. I decided that in my next "daysign", I'd like to ask from people to tell me "what I do?" and "what am I doing?" , But this time without wearing my boxlike suit.
Panagiotis Skalkotos
How to plan ahead one day in order to make it unique? How do you understand this uniqueness and which are its limits? My parents got divorced before i was born. I grew up in an adjacent building of the villa Levidi at Pallini with my mother and my grandparents. My father lives at Gerakas. I chose as the place of my unique day the pool of the abandoned villa Levidi, which after I cleaned, I put a table and three chairs. One for each of my parents and one for me. The access to the inside of the pool is made via a ladder, which I put to the place. The goal is for all of us to be at the same place, to talk and, lastly, to leave them there, alone, simply by exiting the pool and taking the ladder with me.
Elia Kalogianni, Afroditi Koutrouditsou
We wanted to take each tram from the Central Station and go to the last stop of each line. This effort failed not only due to our financial difficulty- which at first we ignored- but also because we faced other problems such as the lack of cooperation by the others. People immediately started treating us like tourists based on our clothes and the fact we carried cameras. After that we decided we wanted to leave our mark in the city by visiting places we don’t visit often and leave some basic traits of ourselves such as our height, our zodiac signs and also phrases we use in our daily lives.
Elia Kalogianni
“Do something extraordinary”. Everything that I came up with did not seem special enough. So I decided to spend my Sunday hurting myself. The truth is that as a person I am an introvert meaning that I don’t really express myself verbally when I am in a bad mood. I wondered how it would be if I willingly hurt my own body, since my desire to experience certain emotion which I wouldn’t be able to do without the motive “I can do something crazy and unusual today.” This led me to step barefeet onto broken glass, to scratch my arm with my nails ‘till it bled, to bang my head on a wall etc. It is not part of my interests to continue this in the form it has right now but it makes me want to deepen in the future in subjects as “my body”, “projecting emotions”, “communication”, “solitude”, “woman”.
Dimitris Poulakis
POTHEADS SUCK
I draw the phrase 'potheads suck' in a 50x70 paper, i cut and glued it in my neighbourhood's square, where guys who smoke weed hang out. Right after i poured pure alcohol on it and let it on fire. It was a symbolic attack on my 'enemies', a memontary violation of their space.
Erikos Petrou
I started the day, having decided to apply my daysign, the planning of the extraordinary day which I had thought off, the previous day at the workshop. I got a small grill, coall, a couple of pencils, papers, sketchbooks and I got off at the metro station of Thisseio. At that street every Sunday all the street is full of people that hustle ,putting on their tables and selling their handmade stuff, and all kind of street art and antiques. These people wake up from five am to fint the best spot at the street. I had called a friend of mine to bring his guitar. I approached a group of these street traders and propose them the idea of setting up the grill putting coall and throwing meat to cook and having a feast. They were excited when they saw the grill but they started teasing me and they couldn’t stop laughing. They said that could get them in trouble so they gave a different idea of feast instead. I went to a corner shop and bought two litres of Raki, feta cheese, olives , spinach pie, and bread from the bakery. At once a table was set up, and everyone started eating and drinking and as soon as my friend with the guitar came everyone started singing non stop. The feast was ready. I had the chance to sketch everyone as different characters, as I was asking them the following question. If you were a comic character what would you like to be. After many hours of singing and drinking, after I hade a couple of good sketches, and while the traders were taking their goods of their tables and call it a day, we said goodnight, and they responded: See you next sunday.
