Working on a clouded leopard mask for my pookie :3 The coloring is done but I need to work on the eyes, fangs, and ear fur!

as you guys know i'll be giving this mask a great makeover! I've been feeling quite disconnected from my current fox design/fursona/how i draw myself. Thinking about these two models but i'm absolutely in love with how the champagne one came out, will update soon.

MASK AND TAIL UPDATE!!!

I painted and brushed through this tail so much just to make it soft... it took so much time..

and the mask is almost done! I just need to get the cloth for the eyes and the fabric for the fur and then a few finishing touches and it will be done!! -w-

Irl therian friend (my only one lol) made me the cat mask, and gave me a blank one that is a coastal wolf wip :)

angel kintype mask WIP!! This is my first time making a therian/kintype mask without a cat mask base and also my first time making a humanoid face shape! It’s actually way easier than I thought and it even fits my glasses well!

I’m going to give this mask 3d/follow-me eyes for that added angel effect :) he’s always watching 👁️👁️ all the wings will be made of minky with wire so they’re poseable with eyespots painted on. I might make gold shiny removeable eyelids. I’m still debating if I want to make this just the mask with head wings or if I want to make a hood and neck for it with white faux fur and minky to make it a complete fursuit head… much to think about.

Current WIP!

This is yet another therian mask, this time for a friend! It was meant to be done last week but its only partly done as of 7am today 😣 i will have it done next week i hope!

can i ask how you made that mask? it looks different from regular fursuit heads and i'm curious to know why!

Yeah!

It is more like the "therian" style masks than it is any normal fursuit

I don't identify as a therian myself but respect to them 💚

The base is cardboard that has been sealed with multiple layers of craft glue to make it more water resistant and strengthen it

I would have used Eva foam but I didn't have enough and am on a time crunch lol ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

More explain/ wips and such under cut because it's gonna be a kinda long one!

But wip dump!

I made the pattern for it myself after skimming like one video lol, and I'm going to be honest I got it on the first try lol

I would be more than happy to take flattened pattern pics and explain the basics of using slits to curve!

But it was a couple parts with slits cut to cure them, you can kinda see on the screen behind

A main base "bean" shape

Snout Bridge

Kind of a butterfly shape for the front of the snout

And nose

(then ear+ ear/cheek floofs)

Tapeing up to test curves before gluing making sure to mirror best as possible then marking where the layers overlap

Aaaand glued!

Testing ear and cheek patterns (ears I did 3 different ones then went with the first ones anyways lol)

The base of it is one sheet of felt that was very slowly and carefully glued and smoothed over the mask

And last photo bc of mobile limit, maybe I'll come back on computer later

but

all markings were just watered watered acrylic with a little bit of fabric sotner
